I wanna see the names. Please put back like before - when I go to Schedule Planner to add pick up dates for employees, I can only see the first two letter of that employees last name on the left hand side abbd the rest of the phone space is dedicated to seeing the date and shift. Do you know how many different employees can have same last names or have same first two letters of a last name?? I have to double check to see if I am adding the correct shift or PTO or whatever to the correct employee by double clicking the name and then sometimes if just pulls the page back up to the top again and you have to start over. It’s such a pain to do this on the phone. Put it back to how it was - when you can see the names on half the screen and the time scheduled shift on the other side. Thanks, much appreciated
Functional at its absolute best, which is not often. A slow, bloated, bubble software that requires updating near weekly with no substantial improvements or changes. Great for seeing your work information when it actually decides to display anything and not tell you to “try again later”, which is ukg speak for “reopen the app 5-7 times and I’ll show you the information I already have”. It doesn’t save passwords despite prompting you to on every new login, which you’ll be doing a lot of even if you use passwords through apple, and its so slow that you’d be better off just going to the webpage through safari. Most of the time, it doesn’t even allow you to log in without multiple presses of the login button. Face ID is barely supported, also only working whenever it feels like it. I can’t imagine how awful this experience is on an older device, when Im having THIS many issues on a 17 pro.
Unintuitive and Hard to Use. This is no question the clumsiest, most untintuitive and poorly laid out apps I’ve used at any business. Almost every time I go in to do something, I feel like I’m starting from scratch on a different app. It boggles my mind, have you ever had a regular person without any UKG experience sit down with this app, ask them to do a common task like, say, request vacation time in this app? Watch how they will fumble around, they won’t be sure that the action actually happened, and won’t know where to confirm that it happened without a lot of clicking around. I have never, in my 30 years in the corporate world, been this frustrated with a business app. I will say the phone app is better than the online version, but that’s not saying much. Thanks for your ear.
Makes me want to quit my job. This app is the most infuriating requirement of my job. It’s not user friendly. It consistently fails to recognize my face. Heaven forbid I’m not in perfect lighting for it to recognize my face - you have to be absolutely still and in clear perfect lighting and it’s prejudice against glasses. Putting in PTO is nearly impossible. And my boss is the only person who can edit my time if I forget to punch in or out. The way it sums up time is in total vs per week - so I have to do my own GD math to figure out how many hours I worked the second week of a pay period to avoid going overtime or shorting myself. It’s ugly and basic and yet still is the dumbest app I’ve ever used. I hope they go bankrupt
Works when wanna works !. Once again here we are trying to clock in the circle of death around and around and around we go when it pops up nobody knows doesn’t matter where you stand into this facility. It’s either a week single or you gotta punch into the machine on the wall that doesn’t work half the time either. I’m not sure what UKG is trying to do, but it’s definitely not going in the right direction to make it work all the time. it’ll work perfect perfectly fine for weeks and weeks and months and months and then all of a sudden bone nothing. It’s very frustrating our old system we never had any problems with it but then they switched to UKG and it’s been nothing but a nightmare but keep up that fine good work I’m sure you guys will figure it out eventually.
Horrible app. The company I work for uses UKG so I’m basically forced to use the app for ease of clock in and clock out. I could use the website but the flexibility of having an app on my phone is nice. And that’s where the good stops. In the year I’ve been working her I have had regular problems with this app. First off, the punch screen rarely updates in real time. The only way to update it is to close the app and reopen. Really inconvenient especially given the next problem. I have had multiple instances of my punches not being recorded. I open the app, navigate to the time clock and punch in. If I didn’t double check, I was frequently going to punch back in only to discover that I was never punched out. It took them 2-3 months to fix this issue. Meanwhile, I had to open the app, use my passcode to get in, open the time clock, hit the punch button, close the app and repeat most of the above steps to confirm the punch was recorded. If it wasn’t, I got to do it all again. I regularly get logged out for no reason. I have always selected the option to stay logged in and for my password to be remembered. Despite this, I have had to log back in at least once every couple of weeks since I started. Earlier this summer, it was at least daily if not every time I needed to use it. I’m posting now because it just happened again but with an added twist. I opened the app, went to the time clock and hit the punch button and my phone shut off. Not a battery issue because I turned it back on right away. But of course, after reopening this app, I had to log back in again. If you’re a company considering using UKG, use someone else.
Startup and password issues. App has a horrible time getting started up. Freezes on one screen while “loading” and will only go past this section if you close and clear the app then reopen it. Occasionally you will have to do this several times. My staff has had several issues with resetting passwords as well and not receiving recovery emails. Personally I’ve also had issues where I reset the password on mobile platforms and then not had that transfer over to the website version. Other than the startup and password issues, most of the other app features work fine.
App user experience is no bueno. Our org has switched to this lovely app from our old treasured system. Upon finally receiving the login information late at night, I then had the greatest honor and pleasure of being flashbanged at 12 in the morning. Searching the app, there is no option to change or atleast accommodate the hard of seeing (especially now that I’m slightly blind from that experience). Aside from that mishap, navigating has felt very clunky, the visual clarity is overloading. Navigating and figuring out my schedule should not be this stressful. Scrolling through “My Schedule” is the equivalent of reading the intro text of every Star Wars movie except that I love Star Wars and I hate this app. Tabbing out is pretty much gambling and half the time requires you to log back which is especially infuriating when you’re trying to communicate with your coworker outside of the app due to UKG’s messaging system being sub-optimal. Maybe I need a couple more months with it but, it’s not a great start. I miss my old schedule app.
Not user friendly. Sooooooo glitchy , punch in and out buttons so close to each other many times you accidentally hit the wrong one. Also when you punching in and out for your day there is no indication whether your previous punch was in or out- and when you make an error it is ridiculous the amount of time, different pages you have to go to. Also it does no say each shift total only once but once you have the whole day of ins and outs nope nothing just shift total . Like I said the amount our company must be saving on this payroll service must be huge because this is terrible!!!don’t even get me started on the terrible website that is linked to the app. Also zero stars
Face ID never works. I wish this app would work out all its bugs with Face ID. So many apps nowadays use Face ID for log in and there’s seldom any issue. But with this app, majority of the time it uses Face ID, I still have to log in manually and once I do, it pulls up a screen asking if I want to have Face ID enabled. Mind you, it is already enabled!!! I have tried many times to go into settings and make sure the option is enabled. At best, Face ID works once or twice before it makes me log in manually. I have to practically log in manually everyday and that’s so much worse than the older version of this app where it at least remembered my log in for a week before I had to log back in again. The only good part of this app is the offline punch option where I can at least log a punch without having to wait to log in. I am begging. Please fix this.
Worst Designed App I’ve ever seen. This app in general is terrible. To actually see your schedule you have to wait 10 secs for a calendar view to show, only the calendar shows what days you’re working and not the time. Then you have to wait another 10 secs to View your schedule on the list view is some what barely, until you notice that you basically can’t look 5 days in advance. If I want to pick up an open shift, it’s like trying to open a jar of pickles with hands coated in oil. If a day says it has 12 open shifts, but only shows me 2 of them, then I don’t know those other 10 shifts! For the punch in and punch out, there’s no real notification saying that I successfully punched in or out. My place of work changed to this and got rid of When 2 Work. That app feels like a perfectly crafted system where you can actually view what you want to. Fix this app so that you can actually see what you want, or don't make a app.
Worst downgrade for company(s) I work for. Not sure how it is from the perspective of an employer, but ever since both of the companies I work for switched to the UKG, it has been worse experience overall compared to the previous platforms. Interface is not convenient; when I sign it using the email of one company, it displays the logo of another employer. Never remembers my password, have to manually type it in every single day. Immense lack of optimization in the app compared to the desktop version - sometimes doesn’t let me log in whatsoever, forcing me to ask for my supervisor to clock me in on his behalf and much more. This platform does not deserve a rating above 4 start due to its developing status
UI is not readable. You would think for a single use app, it would be somewhat decent at that single use. This is not the case here. For a worker to punch in or punch out, any reasonable person would separate these functions to make them easily understandable. This app combines these into a Single Button literally labelled "punch in or out". Which of the two you had just done is not indicated anywhere. In fact, the only visual representation of you having punched in or out at all is tiny gray text that appears above the button saying "last time punched". Again, which of the two is not represented. There is no way to track how long you have been clocked in beyond that. No meter, no counter, nothing. Hire a UI/UX designer.
Needs work…. This app definitely needs more work done to it. It’s hard to navigate or understand. It’s not very informative like when you look for details in the icons list it should go into more detail with pay, schedule, time card, etc but no it’s just basic and dreary. It’s also hard to navigate through the app, it’s definitely not user friendly at all. The app has a lot of potential but I doubt anyone will upgrade it at this point. I feel like it was thrown together awful quickly and in a hurry, got sloppy and lazy, then said here you go friends, figure it out yourselves! And btw, we don’t care enough to actually put you some useful stuff on there or productive things. The app’s vacation and accrual times still aren’t fixed. I don’t know why our company elected to use this app as our organization number one go to for employee information, benefits and pay because it’s useless and a waste of time and money.
Developer vs company. Not sure if it is the developers responsibility or the company that is using the app responsibility but there is a consistent issue with several things. The workspace info is never saved, you have to add it almost every time! The availability change has completely updated and not user friendly or instructions sent to the company as to how to show your employees how to request off without a full pattern change. If they are connected to quick timestamp when clocking in and out of your shift it requires you to enter your password twice. When you are required to change your password it doesn’t give the credentials on what the company’s requirements are you just have to guess or call your IT department to verify the credentials. It is a headache to the store management that has to troubleshoot daily on why it is always glitching or unaware of updates.
App is pretty much useless. The UKG pro worked for a few weeks for me. Now it’s just useless. I cannot access anything to do with Workforce management or with my schedule. Can’t view a schedule, can’t submit availability, pick up shifts nothing. Try to access it on a computer?…nope … Http status 500 internal service error. My IT department opened a ticket with UKG 3 weeks ago …. And nothing. Horrible customer support at this point. The app is garbage. Update: it’s been 7 weeks with the same issue …….and when you get a developer response and they ask you to email them with more details to help assist you , that’s even more worthless than the app. You get ZERO response from them. If there was a rating less than a 1 that would be more accurate. Horrible experience.
Frustrating. Ever since the new update there is no “save” button when editing or manually entering a punch. I can go to the screen, put in my time and time zone and all that but the save that used to be in the bottom right is gone (I’ve tried zooming out and scrolling over like you used to have to do sometimes, but it’s still not there). And this isn’t new to the update, but it’s always making me re-login and then asking me again and again if I want to use Face ID. And if you tap on a notification to open the app, it wants your work URL every time so I have to force close and then open the app by tapping the icon to get it to recognize.
Exceptionally Terrible. The development team that built/updates this app may be underpaid or simply indifferent with their product. By far the worst scheduling application I have ever encountered in my decade of experience in hospitality. The app utilizes your location services to allow you to clock-in within the “geographic area” of your occupation. However, one can be at the front door of their occupation and the app will deem them on the opposite side of the hemisphere. I can be standing inside my store and it will not let me clock in. Except if I’m in the adjacent parking lot 40 yards away then apparently I am in the correct area. Extremely frustrating and forces you to arrive 5-10 minutes earlier to clock in. The support team for UKG is just as awful. HotSchedules may just be the best application out there and recommend it over this abomination. If you have used both then you know it’s comparing sewage waste to cow manure.
Paylocity is so much better than this App.. I have no idea why my company would switch over to UKG if Paylocity was the most perfect and easy app I can ever access my schedule on, etc. This app takes extremely long to load and to log in for no reason. It also was SOOO slow when it came to creating our accounts. What’s also annoying is that sometimes it won’t load when you “Punch in” so it says you’re either late or you have an “unexcused absence”. And just to even check who is going to work with you that day of it’s so complicated. Or even switching shifts. Overall I HATE this app and I really hope when I leave this company I work for I never use this app again. If I could read it zero star I would. !! DON’T USE THIS APP !! USE PAYLOCITY !!
DELETE IT. This morning I was asked to change my password, so I did and wrote it down. I tried to log in later and noticed my account information wasn't showing up. Then I was logged out and now I can't access my account. Additionally, UKG was having problems with clocking in and out at work. I noticed that upon arrival, you can either scan your ID number or enter your card number, but the UKG time clock wouldn't even register your arrival, regardless of which option you used. Randomly, during the shift, the system would register your arrival hours late, causing confusion for management and frustrating many employees on each shift. UKG, your system is completely unprofessional; it's awful and needs serious improvements. I recommend that companies STOP USING THIS TERRIBLE SERVICE. SERIOUSLY, UKG IS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL; IT'S HORRID.
Timesheet and Time clock. Overall, it’s a good app. I can look at my pay, but recently for some reason I’m not able to look at my hours anymore and me punching in. For some reason if you go look at your hours, it goes blank. It doesn’t load anything in recently. That’s been bothering me because sometimes I kinda wanna look at my hours but when you do click on it, nothing pops up. It’s like a blank screen. I really need to know because I feel like this week. I’ve have overtime and I don’t know if I do or not because it’s not showing me. in the time, clock is also turning to blank as well.
Double working. I wrote the title double working because that’s exactly what you do on this app. It kicks you out every five minutes. It is the worst app I’ve possibly ever downloaded, but I have to because my work demands it if it wasn’t for that I would never in 1 million years have this app you have to double work the whole time so if you like that you would love this app if you love getting signed out or bugs that are not fixed this apps for you if you love taking more necessary to do what you need to do on this app for you to get paid. This is the app for you. It is complete a waste of time. The world and this is coming from all my coworkers. My company will not drop you and that’s a shame. I guess enjoy punishing their valued employees. Please take some time and read this. This app needs serious. Help serious help.
Still have not fixed since global crash. This is the weakest HR app I have ever used, can’t even get a copy of your paystub.. its very remedial. They require a password change every 3 months but can’t do it thru the app, I have to go to my settings to change it, I’ve never had to do that with any other app. And since the global CrowdStrike debacle, I have not been able to sign in at all. Tried reinstalling and that didn’t work. So basically, the weak app doesn’t work at all anymore. Honestly, this should be fixed by now. I don’t recommend this app at all. Finally got logged back in and now the punch in option is gone, just disappeared 👻.. most useless app ever.. not even sure what the point of it is, barely works & does sooo little.. now cannot even punch in and out for work! So it’s basically use now…
Never loads, slow as hell. I have to use this app for work. It’s awful- like genuinely. Let me start by saying I am very technology proficient and this app is theoretically easy to use, but not in practice. The main issues I have is that the app never actually loads. If I have to punch in or out I have to close and clear the cache and reopen it and MAYBE then does it load after selecting punch. Any tab you choose with load and then display a blank screen, it’s insane. It causes me to stare at my phone for 2+ minutes and hope that the blank screen will turn into the punch button, but by then I’m late to punching in. Same thing with any other tab on the home interface. Don’t even get me started on approving a time card. 1000% too complicated and works half of the time. Again, yes I am competent. Please fix this app or at least display the loading icon instead of a blank screen. Sincerely -frustrated user
Selecting to receive verification. Im sure a lot of people will have great things to say about this company. The biggest issue i have is that when it lists me the options to receive a verification number - by email, text, phon call i select text 4 or 5 times and it still sends the verification to my work email causing roughly 3 minutes a day clocking in a day and another 1 to 2 minutes just to clock out and when your clocking in and out for lunch thats 4 clock ins thats about 8-10 minutes a day just clocking in and out because it takes forever to register. This is most definitely an internal tech problem that they refuse to fix. Hey ukg! Make it easy on employees or were going to keep filing bad feedback within our company to pick another system
It’s just a web wrapper…. UKG Pro Classic offered less functionality than the full fledged website for my company, but it provided the essentials and quickly without fuss. It saved my log in info. It worked with Face ID. The new app is just a web wrapper for the full website, with near zero mobile adjustments. Elements are on top of each other, smooshed, etc. It doesn’t want to save my log in info. Offers no Face ID login. You have to redo 2FA every 7 days. By that way, which wouldn’t be a huge ordeal if the Apple provided copy/paste of 2FA codes from SMS actually worked in this app - it doesn’t think you typed anything in when you use the Apple provided auto fill in so then you have to delete one of the numbers and retype it. Why do I need an app for this? I’m staying with Classic.
Most inconvenient and difficult work app I’ve ever used. It takes years to log in and correcting punches is confusing and half the time I don’t think the app itself even knows what’s going on. You have to reset your password every three months which is insane and you have to log in with a password on your own phone every time you open the app which can be replaced with Face ID but not a thumb print so if you have an older phone you’re screwed. I could go on and on about how much I hate this app I wish my workplace never switched over to it ): UKG feels like if someone who had never worked a job in their life pulled a prank on the working class by creating the most inconvenient app for scheduling and punching in and out.
Go with another option. I have used this app for several years, and I can say with certainty that every update makes the app worse, this app is incredibly slow, unreliable, and incredibly unoptimized. If you don’t have insane internet, it simply won’t load, other times after you log in the screen will go blank it you’ll need to close and reload the app. Half of the time, when you click a button in this app it simply won’t do anything, I’ve had so many Glitches, errors, and crashes. You’d be better off going with a competitor or literally building your own app from scratch because sometimes it feels like this one was made with chat gpt. The UI is atrocious and looks like it was made by an alien who wasn’t quite sure what humans look like. Don’t waste your money here because they definitely charge an arm and a leg so you can use their worthless software.
User friendly, but I have a suggestion…. I love the “sync my schedule”, however, we still have to sync it every week instead of it detecting new schedule changes. And when we do sync it, it shows up as a new sync, so, for example, this week (today being Sunday) I see my daily schedule listed twice in my calendar, and next weeks is listed once. And I will update it when my new schedule is posted on Friday, so this week will then show 3 times, next week will show twice, and the week after will show once. Is there anyway to refine that aspect?
Help. I'm not sure if the issue is with the app, or with my organizations setup and use of it. 1. It kicks me out. If I so much as clear a notification or need to turn up my screen brightness I am kicked out and have to log in all over again. EXTREMELY inconvenient and frustrating. 2. It does not send me notifications. Previously we used Teams for scheduling, and I would get a notification when the managers would update where I was working that day. This app does not, which leaves me constantly checking the app, and having to log in each time, just to see if and where is am working! 3. On Teams we could create group chats with everyone working that day. This one does not even have a chat function. 4. When approving my timecard, why can't I add notes to it in the app? Like for a missed punch, that I was cancelled that day? Could someone please let me know if these issues can be fixed by the developer, or if it is an issue with how my organization has our use set up? Because I WANT to love it, but we have been on it for months now and compared to the simplicity and streamlining of Teams, it is falling short SIGNIFICANTLY for what I need as an employee.
Needs Serious Password Rework. It’s… okay. It has two major problems that need to be reworked if this app is to actually be useful: 1; it’s incredibly annoying just to get into the app, the password system is too long and complicated. I get that it’s for my safety, but forcing me to have a password longer than 8 characters, and to resign-in every time I use the app with said lengthy password, and not allowing autofilling, is inconvenient enough to where I never actually use the app but instead just tell my supervisor my clock in/out time. Fixing any of these three problems would make it to where I would actually use the app. 2; it is not user friendly at all on the interface. The app feels like it’s made to be used on a computer, which is the opposite of helpful on a phone. It is also very lackluster with the options it gives, feeling like I might as well ignore the app completely and just talking to my boss would eliminate the need for the app in the first place. It also (connecting back to problem 1) never lets you enter a fingerprint if you didn’t add one when you set up the app. I am not one to complain so heavily, but this app feels rushed, badly designed, and pointlessly confusing. If someone would make it more user-friendly, my opinion might change to five stars, to be honest. Thank you to the devs if they read this and acted on it, Tony Moriconi
Worst Time keeping program I’ve ever used. This application has an incredibly poor user interface. When used on your phone, it’s usually pretty fast but when used on the systems at work, it’s incredibly slow. It also always asks for feedback, but when you click the button to provide feedback, it takes you no where. I have used this application on a Zebra hand held device in a retail establishment and here are the things that need to be improved : - stop asking me to recommend your app to my friends. No one is doing that. - the system for putting in time slot availabilities is tedious, convoluted, and causes errors. Just allow us to put in the times we’re available (and remove having to put in the un available times - I do not need a welcome screen every day with a tutorial. We’ve been using this program for a month now and I know how to use it. - Allow us to preview our passwords to double check spelling. Do you know how many times I accidentally hit the spacebar instead of one of the letters above the spacebar? - this was explained to me by my manager but again, it’s an unhelpful system: I understand stand the skills ranking for retail employees HOWEVER sometimes you just need to fill a time slot. Allow for people to view open shifts even if the skills sets don’t match perfectly. I’m sure there are other issues with this app but they should spend more time improving the front and back end than spending money on ads in MLB stadiums. I would not recommend UKG to anyone.
The Time card entry is way too clumsy. The layout for filling out a time card on the phone app is way too clumsy. First off you have to type in your start hour, then you have to scroll through the hours and minutes to put in your out punch. Then you have to hit return to get back to you’re next punch in of the day and type in the time, then for the punch out again you have to scroll to put in the out time for that punch. Please make it where there is one way to put in the time either typing the hour and minute and then a.m. or p.m., or make the employee scroll through the hour a minute and then. Another inefficient and time wasting design mistake for the time input on the app is once you fill out the first week of your two week pay period you have to hit a tab at the bottom of the screen to enter the dates for the second week and you have to do that for every single day instead of having all 14 days available to scroll down to if you fill out one day and want to go to another day in the second week you once again have to go to the bottom of the screen from the first week and hit the tab so that you can get access to the dates from the second week. It’s way too clumsy and cumbers. It’s just really stupid design.
Worse than its predecessor. I used to use UKG Workforce and was suddenly told a couple weeks back by my company that it is no longer supported and I would need to download UKG Pro. I have had nothing but problems. My MFA login info does not save for only this app - I do not have the issue anywhere else, so I don’t believe it to be an issue with my MFA client. At least 5 times in the last two weeks, after I enter my login info, the “wheel” indicating the information is processing just spins perpetually. Again, I don’t believe this to be an issue with connectivity as I did not have the issue with Workforce and do not experience the issue in other apps/my browser. Closing and reopening the app has worked each time, but I should not have to do that to make it work. These issues cause delays in clocking in/out and cause me to have to make manual adjustments (much to the chagrin of my HR department). I guess my biggest complaint is that I don’t understand what needed to be changed between Workforce and Pro. You had an app that, more or less, worked decently. Of course there are probably things on the back side that customers don’t see, but I would have hoped a company like UKG would test a successive solution prior to rolling it out. 1 star until fixed.
Highly Do Not Recommend. Ever since the new update yesterday, I have to uninstall and reinstall the app in order to view my work schedule, or else it is stuck on a perpetual loading screen, even when connected with high speed internet. I also typically have problems with my schedule being inaccurately displayed, causing me to miss or be late to shifts, or show up at work when I wasn’t scheduled. This new update has worsened my experience with this app and has caused more anxiety around my schedule. Each update seems to worsen the usability of this app, so from here I believe I will be opting out of the UKG service my work provides to view our schedules on, so that I am not at risk of losing my job because of this service.
Not enough employee features. Missing a way to display 1 week of scheduled work. This would helpful to display it on a single screen that could be sent someone needing my schedule. There are too many black holes on submitted time off and schedule changes. Once one is submitted, until it is approved, it is difficult to find it anywhere in the buttons on the home screen. This is particularly arduous if one needs to take 8 Tuesdays off in a row. After you submit the first 2 or days off, you can’t check which additional days off need to be requested. Nobody can submit 8 Tuesdays off without being interrupted in this low attention-span world. Why does the day off request default to today’s date. Shouldn’t the employer be able to set the first day of available day 2 , 3,or 4 weeks out?
Poor.. The UI is incredibly difficult and only serves to slow me down. The last update rendered face ID useless, it takes my face scan then redirects me to login with my credentials anyways, prolonging the login process unnecessarily. Notification bubbles never disappear regardless of how many times I've checked and double checked to try to get them to go away. Loading times for checking anything are ridiculous. This is the most tedious-to-use app and if I could I would use ANYTHING else. I put off checking my schedule for as long as possible because I dread having to open this awful app and spend minutes at a time checking what should take SECONDS.
Use it cause I have to not cause I want to. Thought the app would improve over the course of two years, if anything it’s gotten worse. Location basically doesn’t work, you can be in the middle of where you work and it thinks you’re off in narnia. Loading times continue to be an issue, with the lag being so bad it can cause you to submit things or click things on accident. This is both on phone service and with 1gig wifi. It’s not an Internet issue, it’s a server lag or something issue on their end that continues to get worse by the week. Not sure what under the table deal they have with corporate for us to continue using such a badly optimized app.
User unfriendly. There comes a time when the pointless urge for continuous improvement results in something nearly not functional. This app might look pretty but using it is a huge pain. The menus aren’t intuitive, the app functions slowly in terms of click to action. Every other time opening the app it thinks I am not connected to any organization. I can’t even correct a missed punch from the same screen where I can see that I missed a punch. There is also no clear delineation to which functions are in which section of the app. Devs, maybe roll back the pretty UI and retrain your focus on function and user friendliness.
I don’t usually review apps. This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used in my life. This is genuinely the worst program a major company could ever use for their employees. App can never load, times out, freezes, never loads and thousands of app crashes per day. App seems like it doesn’t really have instruction after entering a input for direction if it doesn’t want to do it, it just loads and makes you think it’s doing something. It gives you an excuse about cookies and third party software although even after you do what it tells you to do, it quits on you and doesn’t want to work like if it was lazy. You have to learn the work around a throughout all the bugs and issues it has to get what you want to do. I’m on a new IOS device in 2026, and cannot believe how bad this is. Using the UKG program on company commuters is fine but once you use it on your personal device it’s gg. I truly don’t ever make reviews on the App Store but if you are a beginner to this app just beware of it and try to use the companies own time clock on site if possible.
Use to be good. I’ve used UKG Pro for timekeeping, and the recent update has made a frustrating shift in usability. What used to be a simple, intuitive process, accessing roster and calendar views directly from a dropdown menu, now requires navigating through multiple layers, adding 8–10 extra clicks just to reach the same information. Updates are supposed to improve efficiency and enhance the user experience, not create unnecessary obstacles. This change feels like a step backward, turning what was once quick and seamless into something clunky and time-consuming. If you’re looking for a quality timekeeping solution, this update really misses the mark. It’s like replacing a light switch with a maze of buttons, you eventually get the lights on, but it takes far more effort than it should.
Terrible app. Our company recently implemented the UKG Pro app, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. The app is consistently slow and buggy, and the user interface is confusing and not intuitive. Simple tasks often require multiple steps, making basic functions unnecessarily time-consuming. One of the biggest issues is the constant forced logouts. Even with “remember me” enabled, users are frequently required to log back in, and the lack of biometric or Face ID support makes this even more inconvenient. Scheduling visibility is also poor, and the calendar syncing features are unreliable or non-functional. Overall, the app feels inefficient and poorly optimized for everyday use. While it technically functions, the performance issues and usability problems make it difficult to rely on.
Unpractical. This app is garbage, after the new update I lost access to my account which I need every day to clock in, apart that is the slowest app for working environment, it lags and bugs almost on a daily, support doesn’t work, and since I’m the overnight worker I can’t receive help from management either. The recovery process is useless and won’t do anything to help the situation. And lastly asks me to log in through a computer… like I’ll commute to work with a whole computer on me… and not even that works, this app is a disgrace, requires good connection to the internet so it won’t work under 3 bars of signal, imagine being on a garage with barely 1 bar and not being able to clock in at your time. Horrendous
Good potential. Rough technical. Okay so my company uses this as our main work hub and after every update I’ve done, since I started using this, there’s been an issue. For starters, the first time I downloaded it I wasn’t even able to get into the app for a solid two weeks after I downloaded it. We actually had to call our company’s IT department to fix it because it wasn’t working for any of my coworkers. The second time I updated the Face ID feature quit working. Lastly, the third time I updated, which was just a few weeks ago, Face ID still doesn’t work and every time I hit the sign in button.. nothing happens. So I literally have to spam click the button so I can overload the app into letting me sign in. Great design and functionality just needs some tech work.
HORRIBLE APP. Horrible app!!!! Barely ever works. My work switched over to this clock in/scheduling system. First off plotting your schedule on here is horrible. You can’t do a wide view calendar that shows all employees working on a certain day if you are looking to make trades. You also can’t do a wide view calendar just to plot days you want to work. The layout is horrible with listing the days you are scheduled vs apps like NurseGrid which keeps it clean and simple. You have to remove all these filters just to simply see your work schedule and not everything from open shifts, vacations, requests, education, and literally everything possible. If you use it you will understand. It has a very poorly designed interface. I am very tech savvy but this is not very user friendly. When my hospital switched over to this application, they had ukg reps onsite to assist with any issues. When I notified them that the app almost always doesn’t open and I have to keep redownloading the app, they responded by stating that they found people with I phones generally have that problem and the best option is to just delete, redownload, and relog in. First off when about 75% of the workforce is using I phones then that’s a big problem. Secondly, my coworkers with androids still ran into the same problem. Also ukg cannot use the excuse of poor internet connection because I have used this under different WiFi connections and locations from east coast to west coast. Still super slow with loading. I always find myself having to cut my break short to be able to give enough time to clock in on time in case I need to redownload the app again. For 2 very simple things this app is supposed to do (scheduling and clocking in and out), it is poorly designed and does not function well, and regardless of complaints they can’t or seem to not want to fix the problems.
Meh…some bugs to work out. So I have to use this app as a semi remote worker per my employer. It works better than the old app but I still have to double check that my punches when through. My biggest frustration is with with the location feature which seems broken. I have it enabled to have the location access as the app requires to use the time clock. I never change my settings yet it frequently reminds me of the requirement and takes me to my settings. I don’t change anything on the settings page because it’s already correct but I have to do this before the app allows me to clock in. When I’m in a hurry this is an extra delay. Also the app uses my Face ID but randomly will require my password and two factor authentication which of course also adds time. When it works it’s fast and easy but I never know how it’s going to work.
Easy to use. This app is easy to navigate and has simplicity in mind. Good ui for all ages. I only have a few issues but they are small. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall to fix problem but it didn’t seem to work. I noticed with the app when I click on “My Timecard” on the main screen it’s always a blank white page so I have to go to the side menu and click on time and then click time card. Second is the recent update. I used to be able to see federal and state taxes separately for YTD now I can only see them combined and my pay stubs displayed only show me the amount taken out of the check. So now I can’t find YTD on my state and federal taxes anywhere.
Deductions on wrong check should be illegal. There is no reason why yall shouldn’t give people notice that the money they’re taking out of there check for those 2 weeks won’t be deducted until the end of the month check. If I wanted money coming out last check of the month I would deduct it that shouldn’t be legal at all! I’m expecting my full check and I’m see money taking that I never took out money that I took out at the beginning of the month for the first check!!! It’s not okay at all then I’m sitting here trying to speak to an agent and yall stupid app timed me out and then I kept clicking continue and it wouldn’t continue so the chat ended! Like just fix the app and update it to actually give people notice about money being taken out of THE WRONG CHECK!!!!
Password requirement is insane. This recent update with the change to require a password every single time I open UKG is absolutely ridiculous. Not only is it unnecessary, but I either have to sign in early so I don’t punch in late, or it takes me so long to sign in that I punch in late and have to fix my punches constantly. This is extremely annoying for me because I live in Washington and were required a 15 minute break every four hours. If you include my lunch, this means I have to sign in a minimum of 12 times each shift just to clock in and out and to punch in and out of breaks. This isn’t even including times I just need to check my schedule or check what time I punched out because I forgot, ect. It’s absurd and makes using the app a very miserable experience. Edit: I’m now getting a lot of black screen errors when trying to sign in. I’ve had three different ones so far. Handshake unauthorized, token data not found, and one that just said k… also, what is the point of face ID if I need my password every time anyway????? And every time I try to manually add a time punch, it zooms all the way in on my phone, and then it won’t zoom back out. I have to go all the way back to the main page to fix it. This app is so unhealthy for my mental health 😭 someone fix this before I check into the psych unit in my hospital
Needs work. Was directed to leave UKG Dimensions which is surprisingly more functional than the “pro” app. The sliding functionality that allows side to side movement is clanky and non-functional; all it does is take what I need in focus and throw it out when I scroll downward. Literally can’t “add activity event” because it’s hidden underneath the cancel and save bar. You can scroll it in view but it is not clickable and when you release from your scroll it resumes its hidden state. Also allows for my phone to highlight the text which in my opinion inhibits the functionality further, because a scroll can be misinterpreted as text and boxes needing to be selected via the highlight feature. The good thing about this app is you can leave it in the background of your mobile device and as long as your device doesn’t dump the ram you can go back and pick up where you left off. Logging in with sso is better than the previous app where the Face ID feature so far is actually purposed as an acceptable log in for this app vs the dimensions app making it another barrier of clocking in. Feels like this application was optimized for a MacBook and not the iPhone it’s downloadable on. A shame for an app that has the potential for better.

Fails to load, SLOW ++. Overall usability is fine, not amazingly intuitive but usable once you learn it. However, 80% of the time it simply won’t load. No error message just nada. Quit. Reload. Quit. Reload. When it does open it’s dial up slow. Literally faster to walk around the campus trying to find somewhere to physically clock out than wait for this app to load. Added bonus of biometric data stored offshore.
Too many bugs in app. My company just changed workjam to ukg pro. Workjam is far better than this app. UI is too boring and too many bugs and issue in the app.
Unreliable App. I have always have an issue with this app being so slow and it kicks me out every now and then so I have to login again. Since last week the app has finally stopped working, it stucks on the welcome screen and keeps loading. I reinstall the app but only fixed the problem once. Once I closed the app and opened it, it stucks again on the welcome screen. UKG Pro isn’t really Pro after all.
Excessively slow and buggy. Such a downgrade from workjam I wonder if the devs know how to develop an app. It does not not seem very secure. Maybe don’t leave the dev tools in the UI, pretty big security risk if you ask me :)
Horrendous App. Our work switched to this app and I can’t even log in. It just gets stuck at the loading page. Others been having this issue too and it’s really frustrating to me having to bother my manager every time just to clock me in and out. Won’t recommend. Bring back work jam.
Frustrating App. I’ve been using ukg for 2 years and it has been the most frustrating part of my day every day I use it, constantly crashes, constantly makes me wait until it decides wether it wants to log me in or not, always forgetting my password login and have deleted the app and started again but have used the passcode thinking it will fix be problem…absolutely NO joy! Now I have to hotspot my laptop just so I can clock on using the desktop version which works well, your app doesn’t!

Avoid this app… oh wait, you can’t.. This app is absolutely disgraceful. Extraordinarily slow, buggy as all hell, and I am of course forced to use it by my workplace. Face ID log in doesn’t work since the latest iOS update, and will load into a blank screen after the second use. Offline punches don’t upload properly, and seem to be taking longer with each attempt. Whether the app will open at all is an absolute coin flip - it usually loads into a blank screen if still in the background. 2FA requests need to be resolved in 20 seconds or less, or else a successful authentication will only result in a text-based “success” screen that goes nowhere. Just opening any menu option takes at least 10 seconds to load data that really ought to be stored on-device. On average, UKG takes about 5 minutes to actually log me in and allow me to punch in. My workplace, with this new app, has allowed 2. I am frustrated, my coworkers are frustrated, my managers are frustrated. This app should be sent back to the drawing board. I would say avoid it at all costs, but you likely can’t. Good luck and godspeed.

Genuinely an awful app. I’ve used other apps for clocking into my jobs and this is by far the WORST one. It constantly logs you in and out of your account even when you click the remember me button (which I’m not sure why they even bothered to add if it wasn’t going to work). It’s a drag that they don’t even have the option to pick up other peoples shifts as well (a basic yet convenient option that a lot of other work apps have). Edit: How in the world does an app consistently get worse after each update? I can’t even punch in anymore. At this point I think the developers are actually mucking about and not even bothering to take a glance at the reviews and their user satisfaction because seriously… just disappointing.
Quality worse than items from Temu. Dimensions crashes every single time I have to use it. Why would you make a new app just for it to be the same- only with more disappointment since the Face ID doesn’t work. I open the app a decent amount of minutes before my shift starts because i prepare for dimensions to crash on me 3 times. If I wanted to stand around and have repetitive actions, I would have given myself a lobotomy.
UKG Pro App Review. I have been using the UKG Pro app for a while now, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The app consistently logs me out and crashes, especially when I’m trying to clock in and out. This is incredibly frustrating and disrupts my workflow. The app’s performance issues make it unreliable and not helpful at all. It needs significant improvements to be considered a viable tool for employees. I don’t understand why companies continue to use this service when it clearly doesn’t meet the needs of their employees. It’s a waste of money to pay for an app that fails to deliver on its promises. Overall, I would not recommend the UKG Pro app until these issues are addressed.
Awful. Had to start using the pro app when UKG dimensions app stopped working for no reason on my phone and nothing fixed it. Sadly this app is just as hopeless, I can open it but the Home Screen doesn’t load, I can’t see any roster or information and can only sign in from the side menu. The worst clock in app you are forced to use. Horribly slow, poor interfaces, offline punches constantly not uploading, buttons randomly not working, constant random logouts, constantly needing to fully close the app to attempt to make it work. Easily the worst work app I have ever used.
Too easy to close app - annoying. The X to close the app is too close to closing the page. With this new version, I keep accidentally closing the app as the 2 close buttons are too close together. Does not meet accessibility standards.

Not User Friendly. This app is extremely clunky and not at all user friendly. It lags when opening and struggles to move between different actions. It is confusing to read what shifts you have been allocated and includes a lot of useless information about shift changes that clogs up the schedule. It looks like the basic version of an app that has yet to be designed for its users. The leave request function is terrible, because once you’ve submitted your request, there is no copy of what your request was. Terrible app.
Review. It is a very temperamental app I have had to create new passwords numerous times and been locked out of my own account , it’s been very frustrating would not recommend this app to anyone it’s very very frustrating to use
Recent Update Broke App Entirely. I’ve just started working, and thought the app was initially pretty good. However, the most recent update has completely broken the app. I’m now in a “boot-loop”, and am unable to login to the app to do… well, anything. I can’t get past the login screen. Which means clocking in is impossible on the app. This is obviously frustrating, but raises the question, if you can’t use this for work, what’s the point. Please fix the app.

Worst app I’ve used. This app feels like a time capsule from the 2000s and honestly should’ve been left there. Everything is laggy, not very intuitive and feels like old people who don’t know how to use technology created this. Do yourself a favour if your a business looking at UKG as a cost saver and don’t. Will cause more time on it by staff costs than it will save.

It’s 2024 we can do better than this c’mon. Beautiful colours and lay out on the home screen but other than that it is so laggy and clunky to log in and clock on/off or check rosters. Need to get to work 5 minutes earlier to account for the mind numbingly slowing logging in and clocking in process, if it actually works, but usually I end up having to log in via the computer at work

Terrible. I have never written a review but this app is so bad it warrants one. Everytime I go to use this I have to delete and re-download because it never loads. When it does finally work it logs you out every single time, always crashes and I had to delete the Face ID option because it wasn’t working. How can you call this an update if it’s even worse than it was before?

Comically bad. As many I’ve changed from Workjam to UKG. Constant crashes, fails to log in, unable to accurately record breaks, fails to send notifications of schedule adjustments. If that almost feels passable as an app rolled out to massive companies on a nationwide scale; you should be glad I initially omitted further bugs such as being unable to remember passwords, two factor authentication being shoved down people’s throats, a very poorly responsive user interface and almost all of the primary features you could effortlessly peruse through on Workjam being scattered further across the globe then the genetic ancestry to Genghis Khan. Hell sometimes the app will fry itself so badly that it requires being uninstalled and reinstalled to simply return to the wholesome issues I previously discussed. I can’t help but feel that Napoleon Bonaparte would lead an army in revolution against such a flawed app much in need of a campaign for reform. I’d revolt against its roll out if I wasn’t a missed pay-check away from poverty.

Worst roster management system I have ever had to use. Constantly throws users out of the system. Does not retain password memory or have a PIN / Facial recognition. The developers are constantly updated for bug fixes EVERY WEEK, seriously very annoying as application does not work properly until you update. Consider making is user friendly as at the moment it is not.

No settings button. I had to delete and reinstall without Face ID for the app to work, now I can’t re enable Face ID because there is no settings button, which is such a basic and expected feature, please hire real developers who know how to make an app, there is also no back button if I go onto my roster and want to go back you have to sign in again, genuinely a terribly made app that feels like it was made as a high school project, the app is slow and sometimes doesn’t even let you log in, some nights when I am ready to clock off I have to stay back an extra 5 minutes just waiting for it to load, please fix this app and add basic features as mentioned
Rubbish. This app is absolutely rubbish, it constantly needs updating and hardly ever works. Takes forever to load when it does work and records incorrect locations. All this app does is cause payroll pain and cost me money. also logs you out all the time. The latest update has made it even harder to stay logged in, when you try to navigate through the app it exits to the very start where you need to re-enter the business url 🤦♀️

Workjam with arthritis.. The company I worked for recently changed from workjam to ukg. Worst decision ever My guess is this app is dirt cheap for the employers Thats the only reason I can see for them to change from workjam to this app. Ukg pro is literally the worst app Ive used in 10 years in every aspect. Feels like an underdeveloped highschool tech project beta version of workjam. Worst experience

Bring back WorkJam. Truly a horrible app in comparison. Riddled with technical issues, doesn’t give as much shift detail/information as WorkJam and half the time simply doesn’t load.

Useless. This app is no better than UKG dimensions. You constantly have to log in/out, and its constantly crashing. Really hate that my workplace has moved to this system.
Given Up. Won’t work on my phone. Keep getting a blank screen. So I now log on to the desktop (where it’s been loaded-up)to record my times. Most of my colleagues do the same. And when it fails on the desktop doesn’t we write down our times on paper and our boss sorts it somehow. Hopefully our subscription runs out soon and we can subscribe to a time sheet app that works.

Not worth the time. It is awful… UKG is not good. The App is very problematic!!!
Does not work. It won’t log me in despite having the proper credentials. I’m stuck on the circle loop. It literally does not move and won’t log me in. This would have been handy to have but the only way I can access my account are through the computers at work. Disappointing.
So many issues. This is definitely not a great paystub app to use . Click on it after it’s been installed for 5 weeks and it’s just blank.

Trash. This app is absolute garbage my the fact I have to use it for my work to book off vacation is a nightmare barely works layout is terrible and obviously not optimized on mobile at all.
Face ID does not work. Was prompted to uninstall dimensions and “upgrade” to this app but faceid doesn’t work so uninstalled and went back to the old one where it works fine.
Blank screen. We are supposed to use this app for our company’s employees and it is absolutely terrible. No one can log in. Just goes to a blank white screen after log in.

Slapped by the developer of UKG. Upon my late and recent 1 star reviews of the app (would give 0 star if I can) the developer came to my house and slapped me across the face. This act was uncanny and utterly unprofessional. I am shocked that this event occurred. I hope this app gets taken down. HATE THIS APP WITH MY WHOLE LIFE. I have hated nothing more in my life than this disgusting app ever created.
Terrible design. This app is just a dedicated web browser they callled an “app” that doesn’t even work. Terrible design
So far so good. I use it mostly to punch in & out, and to review my timecard. Could you add a shortcut in the punch section to take it to the active week timecard? Usually after punching in/out, I have to go to home, click on My Timecard & click on the right arrow icon to verify the punch went through.
Not functioning. I was pushed to upgrade from UKG classic. I get notifications for PTO, but can’t approve them in this version. Going back to the classic app.
Functionality. This app provides seamless notifications and options regarding different aspects .
Glitches. The app is convenient in terms of scheduling and picking up shifts. However,the app keeps logging me out, and I have to keep going back to my old email to retrieve my work QR code just to access the username and password section.
Reset password. I hate this app with a passion as it always wants me to change my password. Very annoying. How can I bypass that???? I don’t expect any help from you.
Suddenly Unable to login. The app was working the day before, then the next day I was logged out and I haven’t been able to log in since. I’ve changed my password, deleted and re-downloaded the app, but nothing seems to work, it still says that my logins are invalid even though I literally just changed it a moment ago. Really buggy, can’t seem to be able to contact support either.
Glitch. Sometimes it’s not available to use on the phone. Circulates and does not download.
Poor QC. App seems to get better for a few updates then worse for a few updates, like it’s not vetted before release. No longer is there an option to report bugs in the app. Currently it no longer loads after the most recent update. Which is why it should not be requesting auto updates.
Bad app. This never works. It's such a nuisance when needed.

The app logs me out all the time. It's so annoying that even with asking the app to remember my information, having face recognition, it still logs me out. It's frustrating. Also, the notifications even after seeing it, it still shows as if you haven't. Confusing to look at my shifts
Barely functional at best. Frequently logs me out even after asking it to keep me logged in, and likes to completely erase my company url so I can’t access my schedule at all until I go into work next. When am I going in? I don’t know because of this app.
Terrible app. Old app worked perfectly this one can’t log on can’t reset password tell me my username doesn’t exist…
Disappointed. This app is terrible. Sometimes all I get is a white screen when I try to access it on my phone. Although I have the latest software update on my phone I still experience this issue and it is quite annoying. The only way to fix this problem is by restarting my phone. It’s quite a nuisance and I have missed many work shifts because of this flaw.
User. We were using ADT until was decided to use UKG. The comparison between the two is not in favor of the latter.
Wrong format. It is not very phone friendly. The pay stubs can’t be read without shifting from side to side.
Calendar. On the APP you can’t view a full week schedule. It only displays a daily. Very limited and difficult. Frustrating and annoying you can’t view a full week schedule on the phone.
Terrible to input information. This program is very poorly set up, trying to put information in does not work at all like it is supposed to. trying to use the drop-down calendars it just randomly between start and stop dates for vacation and kept trying to put in today’s date instead of the intended vacation time ,so I had to input manually and even still it would not save properly and kept saving vacation time as bereavement time. Trying to do simple tasks like delete or change something is extremely difficult in here and is not at all intuitive. It took half an hour to do a one minute task. I’m sure they will be working to improve it so that is why I leave these comments.

Can’t sign in. Had to switch to this from the classic. Terrible. It won’t even log me in even after resetting my password. I can log into my computer with my credentials just fine, but if I try on this app it says it’s wrong. I’ve uninstalled this app numerous times and hasn’t fixed the issue. I can’t comment on anything else on the app since I can’t even get in. I’ve contacted my internal HR (as per the support on the app) and they say that it’s on the app devs to fix the issue, which is obvious. Given other reviews, this is a common problem that needs to be addressed. Look into it, people’s work are tied to this app

App signs me out. I pressed the profile button in the menu, and the app instantly signed me out. I think 3 or 4 times.

Department schedule unavailable. The department schedule is not available. Only my own schedule is visible. How do you know whom to switch shifts with if department schedule is not visible to respective departments staffs?

Way too cluttered, and absolutely useless notifications. The app is way too cluttered for a mobile app. You can’t even read the majority of the labeled functions due to how cluttered all the buttons are. I have to take screenshots to read what all the buttons do. Then there’s the notifications in the app for system messages that are literally pointless as they are just programming code. Really hoping my employer switches back to 7shifts because this app is absolute garbage.
Time owing hours. This app sucks on everything
Very confusing. I had to get this app to use for my jobs new scheduling, however it is very confusing and hard to navigate. I wish they offered an education section to help teach new users how to navigate and work the app

They took away view from my schedule area making it hard to see my schedule.. When I click “my schedule” the only thing I have is “more actions” and when I click more actions I only have “new request, hide list and location schedule” how am I supposed to view my schedule if view isn’t even there ? I’ve deleted the app and redownloaded it still no success.

Opens in default browser. The app works fine overall. It is no longer as sluggish as it was last year. My only issue with it is that when you go to the “time clock” section to do your punches, the app minimizes, opens your default browser, asks you to log in all over again, then has the audacity to show you a banner at the bottom saying to download the app. I just came from the app because you forced me! Sometimes I find it better to skip the app and do the entire process from the browser, at least saves me the second login.
Not able to sign in. I’ve been using this application for some time and never had a issue with it, and now all of the sudden I can’t sign in. I downloaded this app so I could keep track of my schedule and now I can’t use it because you have to add something else to it which makes it impossible for me to use. I have a older phone and I don’t have all the updates that is required for this app. So you need to find another way so people can use the app with older phones. Now if I want to check my schedule I have to call the store. Such a inconvenience. So until you fix it I’m deleting this app
Don’t really work that well. It works enough to clock in and out sometimes, but even then, it can just sit there loading without changing. Sometimes the main menu UI will not be responsive; it will take several app closures and reopens to get it to respond; most functions seem to not exist within my workplace’s app environment. The app is in need of a serious update with significant bug fixes and to make the app more smooth and much, much faster. I can’t sit there wasting a couple of minutes not being paid because the app cannot cooperate.
Broken App. What’s the point of Face ID if it scans my face, accepts it and then still tells me I have to put in my user name and password? 4 times a day it does this. Clock in, lunch, clock in from lunch, clock out at the end of the day. I thought the ADP app was bad but this app isn’t much better. I’m seriously about to find a job that pays salary so I don’t have to use awful apps like this anymore to clock in and out. Update: App has gotten much worse in the past couple weeks since last update. All I can say is what is the point of faceID if the app makes me put my user and password in every single time. I’ve clocked in 1 minute last 3 times this week due to this.
“You win” or “HIGHLY inconsistent- 2nd review”. When it works, it works. That is after having to login every single time with a 13 digit login, spotty connection to their server, and intermittent glitches with the app. I realize a lot of nerd developers use windows or droid phones, and it works great on those. But some of the regular humans on the planet do own iPhones and your iOS crossover is dog meat I meant lacking … sorry. I even gave up on the app and logged in on Google Chrome. Now that’s starting to fail me. What has changed UKG? HAS it gotten better since I added it in Sept 2024. Although I could buy a Windows phone for $17, I probably won’t. Come to think of it, I probably should as this has my work schedule and calendar on it. … So … I yield UKG. I will go get that windows phone so I can see/modify my work schedule. You win.
A buggy, glitchy, horrible experience to use.. This app works, sometimes. The problem is when it doesn’t, it’s completely useless and most of the time, it’s non-functional. It either does not load sections you need to load, or you end up in an endless loop of logging in, getting an error loading content and are then forced to log out. The really sad part is the old app works all the time without fail and yet, they’re pushing people to use this buggy version that flat out barely manages to do anything other than waste space on your phone.
Forced to use for work. I’m forced to use this app for work and I hate it, half the time thinks on your list such as the ability to clock in or out just vanishes from your list and you have no way to punch in or out when it happens. No heads up to if it’s a system update or outage to its users they just do it and you get screwed if your clocked out when it goes down and you can’t clock in for anywhere from and hour to a whole shift. Multiple times I’ve had to have my boss put my hours in due to issues with both the app and the desktop version. If your a company save yourself and your employees a headache. Use a better system or app…
Improve. I like it better the other way I did not have to keep signing in all the time when I was signed in. It would keep me signed in now I have to sign in all the time and it gets to be a pain because sometimes you’re waiting forever for the text to come through if you’re gonna do this, you should have a passcode or something or if we don’t sign out then you shouldn’t sign us out It should stay signed in until we sign out, I liked it better the other way didn’t have to sign in into several times.
Flakey (update: Absolute trash app) less than 1 star, ruins the beginning and end of my day. Flakey App. At times I experience the following, sometimes in the same session. Opens to frozen screen, need to force quit. Says no company found Logs my clock-in or clock-out outside my acceptable location area even when on company property. Errors when trying to look at my prior time data. Frustrating and sometimes aggravating and not the best way to start or end the workday/week. Luckily my uppers seem to be understanding with the issues… Ohh yea, password issues as well, probably the most aggravating issue(s)!
Stop Changing UKG So Frequently. Stop Changing UKG So Frequently - I cannot access the pdf file of my payment stub with this latest update. I also do not see a date to choose from for this current year, 2006, but rather, just the option listed as 2026. Why does the look and the placement of information move (or is absent?) or is modified with EVERY SINGLE update? Why? Please change whatever needs to be changed, but please stop changing the regular features that we need to access and use. Other employees are also sick of this but are not taking the time to do reviews because they’re - we’re - frustrated with this. Thank you for reading this.
Calling this an app is generous….. My company recently switched away from the classic UKG app to this and I couldn’t be more disappointed. No Face ID login. The whole interface is squished so I can’t read anything on the homepage. I can’t even open my payroll page, it just sits on a blank page and I eventually give up and open the page in my browser anyway. What’s the point of making a web wrapper if you aren’t even going to let web pages load. This sad excuse for an “app” is beyond frustrating. I added a shortcut to my company portal to my Home Screen and it’s proven far more functional than this.
Frustrating. Time accrual/benefits apps and websites are nothing new in 2025… some companies just do it better, and this isn’t one of them. This app is inconsistent with its actions and clunky to use. If you accidentally hit the wrong option for clock-in/out, it doesn’t flag anything or warn you… this leads to massive frustration, needing to reach out to management, etc… just put an action flag in place and warn people! Obviously somebody isn’t going to clock-in twice without clocking out… FRUSTRATING! If I still have to approve the prior week, while trying to clock into the new/current week, it always flags for approval… after that approval, it sometimes still clocks you in like you’d like it to, and other times it doesn’t and you’ll still need to again. This app constantly asks for insane logins and doesn’t “remember me” after selecting that option. This app is very slow and not responsive (no, it’s not my device or internet. It’s your app). If I could personally use a different company/app, I would, and wouldn’t think twice about it.
New app. Just downloaded the new app because the old one wasn’t giving me the Team Timecards control on the home screen. The new app doesn’t either! Where did it go!? I use this feature so much to easily fix timecards, missed punches, etc in the palm of my hand. As an executive chef I am rarely just sitting in my office and with a large department, it’s so much more efficient to fix things immediately than letting them pile up and remember who needed what in an old building with wonky internet.
Super glitchy. Not sure if this is exclusively me, but this app is incredibly glitchy to the point where it’s predictable. Here’s how every Wednesday goes; 1) I get a push notification from UKG saying my pay statement (for Thursday) is ready. 2) I click that notification. The app opens, accepts my face for biometrics, then begins to “load”. Nothing ever happens. I’ve waited for 4-5 minutes before. 3) I force close the app and reopen. This time, it loads my company logo and my initials in the top right hand corner; however, you cannot click on anything, cannot navigate anywhere, and there are no buttons at all. 4) force close for the third time and reopen, everything loads and works. It’s like clockwork every single time. The process starts at step 3 if I just want to look at something in UKG, i.e. I have to open/force close/open again to load it to a point where I can do anything.
Slow, broken, and literally costing me money. Here is how to clock in on the UKG app: 1 - open the app 2 - click on “sign in” two or three times. Touching it one time does not register as a click (tested repeatedly on separate devices) 3 - sign into your work account at a snails pace 4 - go to your time clock and proceed to get the “no registered companies” error or the “failed to load” error or the continuous loading error 5 - close the app then reopen it. 6 - login again 7 - go to time clock and attempt to clock in. 8 - if time clock is still not working, repeat steps 5-7 until successful. This entire process takes 3-5 minutes every day when it should take 30 seconds. I’m literally losing money as an hourly employee because the process for clocking in takes so long. On the bright side, I sometimes make that money back because clocking OUT takes just as long or longer sometimes. Since it cancels out, I give this app 2 stars instead of 1.
Not user friendly!. This app is definitely not ready for large company use! My organization just recently started using UKG and I have NOTHING nice to say about it! It never allows me to log in using Face ID although it asks me if I’d like to use it every time I log in. The platform should allow companies to see full schedules with everyone on the schedule. Checking notifications/inbox is a nightmare! I tap on one message and it brings up a different view of the entire inbox! I only want to see the message I tapped on!! I’m not sure how this app has gotten the popularity it has but it is not user friendly especially on a mobile phone!
Unreliable/login issues. I’ve had to use UKG Pro across multiple jobs, and it is one of the most frustrating work apps I’ve used. The biggest issue is logging in at times the app simply will not let me log in at all. Compared to other scheduling and workforce apps, it feels inefficient and outdated. The app frequently glitches and crashes, and when the login issue happens, the only way to resolve it is sometimes deleting and reinstalling the app or using workarounds just to regain access. Also when issues occur, there is no direct support available for employees. Overall, the app is unreliable, buggy, and not something employees should have to depend on daily.
Definitely better than the regular UKG app. My employer recently started advertising this new version on the TV in the break room. It has the exact same functionality as the "regular" UKG app but this is MUCH faster and so far I haven't had to log in again when I open it. Just face ID and boom I'm in. Normally with the other one I'd have to log in, then open Microsoft authenticator then go back and it would maybe log in successfully after face ID again. Hopefully they add more features!
Why only portrait mode?. My company recently switched from UKG Dimensions. For the most part, it seems pretty much the same, but the login process is simpler. This is good. However, it is really annoying that it only works in portrait mode. Not the easiest when accessing on a tablet with keyboard—why not let it autorotate? Even on a phone, it is sometimes easier to view the calendar horizontally. One area I’m hoping is improved is the process for submitting missing punches. Will have to wait to see if that function is more intuitive in this new version than it was in Dimensions.
Notification Issues. I’ve used both the old and new versions of this app for work, and the same issue persists—notifications stop working without warning. At first, I’d get alerts, but eventually they’d stop, even though notifications are enabled. With the new app, tapping a notification would log me out instead of taking me to the content. Now, I don’t get any notifications at all and have to manually check for schedule updates or changes. I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting my phone, but nothing helps. It’s frustrating, especially since this has happened on two different devices.
Interface. Time off segment is very hard to read. Jumps from the month I need to schedule off to the month at hand. I need the markings of canceled off days to disappear, not remain and provide confusion. Or at least more clarity on cancelation(date/time) Please consider the section that expands within the time off window as well. It is a jumble of information that gets confusing when having to cancel or reorder off day request. A legend is sorely needed as well. Not a vague or no description at all. A small section to identify markings within the app would also be helpful. No point in turning on passcode entry if I have to enter in credentials AND passcode to enter
Awful for Timekeeping. Terrible app for timekeeping. Half the time when I log in my shortcuts are blank. And if the app has been running in the background for more than a few hours, it’s just a white screen when you open it back up, so you have to completely close the app and relaunch it to log in. All these issues have workarounds, but I shouldn’t have to use workarounds multiple times per day, it should just work the way it’s supposed to work. Another issue is once I get to the time clock feature, it’s says something along the lines of “no companies available right now” so I can’t clock in.
Important feature not working.. The button to request time off is disabled in the mobile app. Party big feature to be missing. The user interface is also clunky. The way you enter time should flow. Plus, you cannot post time card hours weeks ahead (like in Workday; I know this isn’t Workday). The thing about this is hours have to be approved anyway, so it’s not like you can submit and get paid. At this point I have to take out my laptop just to submit for time off. If I’m missing something in the mobile app, my apologies. Please add the ability to the button. Thanks!
good on a computer not on a mobile phone. you can get by with using a phone but it definitely is more user friendly on the computer. My biggest issue is how on my phone the inbox button (tries) to navigate me to the inbox but has the loading circle. this circle of loading never ends. i have never been able to access my inbox on my phone. yes there is a back way to your notifications but it doesn’t always work. i like ukg pro (once i’ve learned how it works) but they really gotta improve on their mobile app.
Should not have upgraded. Lost main features.. Got tired of the pop up asking me to download the new and improved app, so I surrendered and downloaded it. This new app is absolutely worthless. Before (with the old app) I was able to approve my timecard, add pay codes, like vacation, bereavement, time off unpaid etc. Now all I can do is view my paycheck and see how much time off I still have. If this is the new and improved app please bring back the older version with was actually useful because this new app is just taking up space on my phone. ☹️
Step back from UKG Pro Classic. I installed this mobile app after I got a notification in UKG Pro Classic that there was a updated version of it and after installing I must say this is the laziest mobile app I’ve come across in a long time. It’s basically a wrapper around the antiquated looking UKG Pro website which definitely is not designed for mobile responsiveness whatsoever. Everything is tiny as the entire webpage is shown on screen. I understand it must be a pain managing the both mobile and web versions but at least make an attempt to make it way more usable for mobile users if the intent is to move to one version.
Worst work app. I don’t even know where the start. This app os just horrible honestly. It takes 10 to 10 minutes just for anyone I work with to even get into the app( app or computer) the old one is more pro then this one. I hate using it I hate having to keep submitting time fixes. You can’t see your time off request for some reason. You can’t see your employee number anymore. I I still don’t understand why we even had to switch I hope it wasn’t for just to have a pretty looking app to use. The old one was just fine and if it needed any changes they should have done it on there. Also I think most of these “5 star ratings” are fake 9/10 literally say I love this app.
Seeing who you work with. It seems that you can only see certain people you work with in a day. I think you should be able to see who’s on for the day, no matter what shift they work, even if it’s not the same time as you because sometimes it’s super important to know so if you need to contact the opening or closing manager or ask a coworker to cover you, you aren’t potentially asking a coworkers who’s already working later in the day or already working.
Used to be great…. This used to be a great option for clocking in and out outside of my employer’s intranet during peak clock in/out times. Since the latest update, I’m now prompted to enter my password every single time I attempt to login. If I wanted to jump through a bunch of hoops, I’d go through my company’s intranet. This app is becoming more and more unreliable and I’ve gravitated away from it except in emergency situations where I need to request PTO on the fly or something similar. It’d be great if the app showed the total amount of hours worked already for the day, week, etc since it’s connected to my employer’s intranet.
Could be better. This app is a very good concept but need to be fixed! Most of the time it does not work and even though I have my location on its always asking for permission to share my location! Most of the time I get a white screen and nothing shows up making it impossible to clock in or out. Sometimes it would work if you turn on and off your phone but that is annoying to do all the time! Please fix it asap!
Needs screen rotation. I use the app all the time and feel it’s a really great app. I do however have a request to add screen rotation. I quite often use my iPad when traveling to work remotely. Screen rotation would make things easier when working with scheduling for a larger group. Being able to see the entire week is also very helpful. Your consideration to add this feature is greatly appreciated.
Works Like 50% of The time. 50% of the time, this app is basically useless. Ive never used an app that just randomly does not work for some reason, and you have to constantly refresh the app/ swipe out of it. Its almost like it was programmed to hardly work, based on how consistent the bugs are. Pretty frustrating if I just want to check my schedule or clock out real quick. Not made for convenience. When it works, the app is fine. Nothing special, just fine (Which is all I want for a work-related scheduling/payroll app).
Garbage app. Where do I begin? Endless issues with logging in and pages not loading, spontaneously signing me out when I’m in the middle of entering shift information, only one quarter of the screen showing employee names due to 2 banners informing me that I’m working in expanded access and another telling me to unblock cookies, leaving only a tiny sliver of workable space at the bottom, etc, etc, etc. For all of the time I’ve wasted trying to make this work correctly and all of the work I’ve not gotten done despite time spent trying, I have literally never hated an app more than this one.
Bad, very bad. Our company recently transitioned to UKG, and unfortunately, the experience has been frustrating for both employees and our HR department. The app consistently has functionality issues, creating additional work and daily disruptions that we never faced with our previous system. After reading reviews from over a year ago, it’s concerning to see that our complaints mirror long-standing issues others have reported. This makes us question whether UKG is genuinely committed to addressing these recurring problems or improving their product. We expected a reliable HR solution but have found UKG’s platform to be more of a headache than a help.
a downgrade. this app is annoying, clunky, and in my opinion less effective than the original app. half of the time it doesn’t even work. this new app requires you to have a customized link provided by your job instead of just letting you use your regular employee ID like the original. then it’s a 50/50 shot on whether the app will actually load you into your account overview or show you a blank screen telling you there was an issue logging you in to your account. it’s inconvenient and just an annoying “upgraded” version of the same app with more bugs and flaws than improvements or fixes
Clunky and difficult to use. I’m forced to use this app as it’s the only way to access my time card, sign up for overtime, put off sick, or vacation. Since downloading it almost a year ago it has never worked properly. I have to try and sign in between 3-5 times, going through MFA every time, to hopefully be able to log in. Once logged in, it’s clunky at best. Many times the “back” arrow will disappear while looking at the day’s roster, meaning I have to force close the app if I wanted to look at anything else. Then repeat the same frustrating log in process another 3-5 times to get back into the app
Have fun working for free. Worked over 60 hours this week log on to see my week had been approved with only 32 hours. When this obnoxious app decides that you’ve worked far too much and doesn’t let you clock out but rather clock back in and leave an assumed missing punch. Due to this now I get to wait on my HR company to justify my hours an HR department that took a year to grant me access to my UKG account when I was logged out for being unable to change the password. Honestly any company that uses UKG enjoying those pennies you pinch, cause who cares if we get paid the hours we worked right. UKG may you get what you deserve and soon.
Major Scheduling Issues. The app was essentially perfect before a recent update made it so you are completely unable to see some coworkers on the schedule. Some of us plan ahead for such things (like extra preparation for some coworkers who require a little more assistance for a successful shift) and this change has made that impossible. Many of us are very disappointed and dissatisfied with this change and hope for an improvement with it being reverted in the nearest future possible. The app is still great in all other areas but this is a concerning matter. Thank you and have a pleasant day!
horribly slow, unpolished and just depressing. takes on average 30 seconds to load into the main page, the blue background only updates once on page load, so it turns white when you scroll down a bit, loading times are god awful in the app, returning to the home page takes 10-20 seconds sometimes, the AI chatbots x to close the window does not close it, and would have soft locked the application if i didnt randomly find that you can swipe right to get out of the page. id give it 0 stars if i could, it seems no care was given to bug testing at ALL, and the atrocious load times are just disappointing. yall need to do better
Still won’t open. Up to version 1.4.4 now, can enter ID and password, says “Signing you in..”, then goes to spinning O logo, and no further. I have dumped the app, restarted phone, downloaded app again with no improvement. Up to 1.4.7…enter ID, password, says Signing you in, then spinning circle…..that’s it. All these new versions and no improvements. Have sent multiple email responses and info to the Techs, but no suggestions. Have dumped the app, restarted phone, reloaded app, with out any changes or success. Update 1.9.4. Is a mess. Can’t use now when I could before the update! Why!!! Updates that don’t work, make extra work for those trying to use it. Ugh!!!
Can never sign in. This has to be the worst app. The idea is to be able to handle your punch clock info/records on the go - sounds extremely convenient! The caveat? You can’t log in. I’ve successfully logged in one time, while testing it at my primary worksite. I have had zero luck signing in offsite since then; I simply get an error message stating there is a problem, which is then superimposed by a never ending spinning loading circle. It does this on cell data, guest wifi and secured wifi. I have it set up for FaceID, however I have also gone in the “longer way around” using the SSO option originally used to set the app/account up.
Please improve the phone-user experience. Clearly not designed for phone use. However the log in works, my keyboard doesn’t prompt me to use my saved password like it does on every other app. Instead I have to go and copy paste it. Also, when I submit another availability change request, I can’t scroll down to hit the “submit” button so I have to try to tap the 3 pixel wide part of the button that is visible from the bottom of the screen which sometimes makes me accidentally hit “cancel” and I have to make the request all over again
Companies hate their employees. UKG Pro has become increasingly frustrating to use. The interface feels outdated and unintuitive, and even simple tasks require far too many steps. Navigation is clunky, performance can be slow, and updates often seem to make workflows more complicated rather than improving them. For a platform that’s supposed to support HR, payroll, and employee management efficiently, it ends up creating more work instead of streamlining it. There’s a lot of room for improvement in usability, speed, and overall user experience. I really hope future updates focus on making the app more functional and user-friendly.
Worse than the old app. My old UKG app said that they’re switching to this one and I was excited because I thought they might make it more user friendly and easier to log in and find your stuff, but it is literally almost no different than the old one. You still can’t find your schedule with only 1 button push, why can i view my inbox so much easier than before, but I can’t view my schedule any easier. That is literally the only thing i use this app for since you can’t use it for anything useful like requesting time off, and it is the hardest feature to get to. Plus I hate how hard it is to log in.
Fix Access URL Reroute!!!. I have to use this app through my employer. About 24 hours after inputting the access URL, signing in and turning on Face ID the app signs me all the way out to where I have to use my access URL again and sign in all over again. It’s extremely annoying especially for an app I access every day and the old app, UKG Dimensions, never did this before they changed over. Your “Tell us how we’re doing button” in the app doesn’t even work to give feedback on issues like this. If I wasn’t required to use this app I would never use it. Very unfriendly to users.
Nice idea. Bad App. This app feels like it only exists in the imagination of whoever designed it. In reality, it’s full of about 20 small windows meant to provide information — none of which actually work, or barely do. Being in the Middle East, it seems the app doesn’t even support the basics for this region. For example, I’m male, yet the only leave type I can see is “breastfeeding leave” — which obviously doesn’t apply to me. Meanwhile, my work schedule and every other feature are just blank. Not user friendly at all. navigation can feel dated, with too many menus and submenus. underwhelming app. Frequent bugs and crashes. Most features don’t work or are limited on the mobile version (e.g., timesheets, schedule visibility, or benefits info). Users without technical experience will find it hard to use. In fact it need an advanced tech knowledge. And many many more. As I said nice idea if it works. But it didn’t
Terrible. I’m not sure how anyone can rate this highly. It is very user unfriendly, and visually unfriendly. Please keep end users in mind. Reports are terrible and truly not customizable. Maybe for a business that that works in excel or spreadsheets every day, it wouldn’t be as jarring. For healthcare staff in a hospital-just the absolute worst. I’d rather work with a paper schedule. If I could give zero stars I would. You should also make sure people get education when switching to this clunky platform. Also it is terrible to try to get into. Why have Face ID that doesn’t work all the time. One I set it up-I shouldn’t have to set it up basically every day (one or more times)
What the heck. Is anyone trying to make this app better? This app is essential for jobs across the country, and it never works. It either can’t connect to a server, or it fails to login, or the main screen won’t load if it does log in. It doesn’t remember the favorites tabs I have set. I have had to reinstall the app three or four times now in order to get it to function for a limited time. There have been no good reviews for this iteration of the app, and it seems like nothing has been done yet to improve it. I’d like to be able to clock in and out of work so I can get paid. That would be nice.
Terrible user experience. Many “unknown error” messages showing up as I tap on menu options. Pay statements do not load, profile doesn’t load, most buttons just load blank white screens. I tried to share feedback and the spinning wheel of death spun for 15 mins. Diagnostic mode is worthless. It’s a terrible app. Both WiFi and cellular data provide the sale poor experience. I can’t actually see any digital documents or statements that I want to see. Slow and clunky. I’m using iPhone connected to high speed internet and or 5g cellular data. Doesn’t matter. Poor user experience.
Not for retail!. This app may be great for people with positions that involve travel or being on call, however it is the worst option for retail. It automatically approves shifts regardless of what jobs the employee is trained in. (i.e. approves non cashier trained employees for cashiering). It also never loads correctly so it takes forever to clock in. You also cannot manually add premium pay to shifts, so ANY changes to a shift results in employees getting the premium pay- even if it was a change requested by the employee and not a request by management.
