Not good. I downloaded because of one tree , I snapped a few clear photos and not once did it show a tree in the identity, it kept showing flowers , then it wouldn’t allow me to keep trying it kept saying I needed to sign up for its $7.99 a week fee - if I can’t get one single identified photo, that is one app I will not invest in

Perfect identification. Perfect and fast identification from a mediocre photo.

Not easy to use. I signed up for it but can’t even get any farther than gettin a picture of my plant. Doesn’t work for me.

Cancellation Request - no response. I just got this app today to look up one tree and was not happy with the results. I’ve emailed twice asking for them to cancel my free trial and not bill me. Still waiting to hear from them.

Doesn’t load. Tried numerous times but app doesn’t progress past the 2nd informational continue page. Never would load.

BEWARE of Subscription that looks like Free. Terrible blood suckers that trip you up thinking your getting a free app and then you’ve clicked and been charged 8/week for a subscription! Shame on you. Worst possible product on App Store. If I could give this app a zero score I would. This app is the poorest product I have ever used in the Apple store. I wanted the PLNT Plant and tree identifier app to help me identify plants and trees in my garden and on my walks in the woods. I took a picture of the unknown plant and the app gave me 3 possibilities. I showed the 3 possibilities to my neighbor because she is a professional botanist and a professor of botany at my local university. I knew the plant was a hydrangea by that point. It was the poorest identification app my botanist friend had ever seen. Now I cannot even cancel unless I contact “support” via email. I did send an email to support requesting immediate cancellation of my free trial but who knows what happens in support. My free trial expires at midnight on the 6th of June. I am contacting Apple with my complaints. In the past Apple carefully vetted their 3rd party apps. This product fell through the cracks.

Fail. I tried getting this app for a school project but after 5 wrong identification images it said I had to pay to do more and all I wanted was to know what some trees are.

Tracking and account. Downloaded this app because I saw it had a feature that you can point it at a plant and it can tell you what it needs. I guess I will never know because they want you to register which is not required. The huge deal breaker for me is they require tracking I don’t allow apps to track me and I’m not sure why they have to. They say it helps to update the app. Thanks but no thanks I like my privacy I will never use this app as long as tracking is required. Also I would give negative stars if I could.

No good. Can’t identify Azaleas or Texas Sage. Can’t ID anything in my yard. Could be me but can’t seam to get any results? This just in. Very Interesting, I can’t seam to leave a one star review. Every name or set of numbers I use are taken lol. So I left this 5 star and it was excepted

How can Pothos not show up??. How is it possible that Pothos or Snake Plant don’t show up in a search. I don’t know the Latin names…isn’t that what the app is for? Too bad because I really like the troubleshooting and depth of their care instructions.

Weekly subscription. Just skip downloading this app. If you subscribe and forget it about it as they hope you will, you will be charged $8 per week. Just avoid it all together and save your money. The app itself is not great at recognizing plants and there is little information on the ones it does.

Worthless unless you subscribe. It “may” be an ok app if you continuously shell out some serious $ but the free option is simply worthless. Won’t even allow you to scan the same tree twice to see if it was correctly identified, which it did not. Even I can tell the difference between a bush and a 50ft tree.

Unable to cancel. Downloaded for the free trial and after attempting to take a picture of my peace lily 4x, it failed to identify the plant. I cannot access the “Help” feature from the settings menu to cancel my subscription.

Not at ALL accurate. I tried ID-ing trees I knew at first - 1 out of 7 were correct. Went to the several unknowns I had an idea of what the were and after manual research comparing conclusion of this APP, I am deleting it. I out of 16 trees ID’d correctly is NOT what I paid for & if I could not even give it 1 single star, I would have.

Theives. I complained after I accidentally got the year subscription at the end of the free trial and not only ignored my request for a prorated refund but then also took away my subscription. Give me my money back

Not user friendly. I just want plants identified. I just want to easily find the photos with identification. Not easily done with this app. My message to the developers I s KISS.

Beware!. After your 3-day trial-this app charges you 7.99 a week automatically!! I gave up after the first time I used it because nothing was being identified correctly. I used the app to email and cancel but it didn’t! I really hope they will make this right and refund my money (over $300-NOT OK!)

Incredibly misleading and doesn’t identify well. The app bombards you with popups for its subscription, and the pricing is very misleading. It’ll try to see you in for $1/week, while trying to get you into a $70 yearly plan. The pricing simply doesn’t match up and breaks all sort of Apple pricing policies. The identifier has been incorrect for my echevaria, birds nest fern, and even my monstera.

Not worth the add. Trial is for 3 days AFTER you agree to continue to pay on auto renew at $8/week! Honestly that is way to expensive for plant help. Didn’t realize this was completely useless without a paid subscription. And the app requires permissions to share your information for advertising and sharing to other companies.

The worst. I have had this app since July 2022 and it has not successfully identified a plant yet. Started with plants I didn’t know and it just was not making sense so I used it on plants I do know. I pointed it to a zebra grass and got back it was a rose. I could understand it it were in the same category but that’s not even close. Not going to run through the list but it’s extensive. And you can’t cancel in the app, they force you to call. Paid for the year but come July this baby is gone gone gone. You’ve been warned. 🌺

Ugh. Another one of those pull you in and then charge you when you thought it was free. Plus they make it impossible to see how to cancel.

Bought the monthly access doesn’t work. I used it for three days then after I paid the monthly access fee it wouldn’t work. I can cancel but a month down the drain.

Worthless without subscription purchase. Some apps offer limited functionality without a paid premium. This is not one of them. Unless you plan on spending the money for the subscription, don’t bother to download it. All it will do is collect your personal information and take up space on your phone.

Not satisfied. I have not been satisfied with the trial and tried to cancel the app. This asks you a thousand questions before even getting to submitting your plant pic. I have been unable to do so and do not want to except this charge. I cannot get anyone to get in contact with me, or respond to the cancellation email that I have sent. Very dissatisfied and need to resolve this immediately!

Does not work.. I’ve tried this app on multiple plants in my garden. My priority was to determine the health of the plants. I found that this app identified the plants incorrectly most times. I am hopeful to get a full refund for my one year subscription.

Doesn’t do the trick. This app constantly misidentifies plants, says plants are healthy when they are not, says plants are unhealthy when they are, gives incorrect information on watering, etc…. I’m a master gardener. The reason I got the app was to cross reference knowledge. This app is not worth the money!

Charges. I did not knowing my sign up for anything but free access; I went to the App Store to report an issue or use contact u.. and neither resulted in a screen to communicate with. All of a sudden I am getting weekly charges.

Not as advertised. I have a simple question to identify a tree that is volunteering to grow in my flowerbed. From a picture of a stem with leaves. This app is not capable of research like that. I do not want the app and cannot figure out how to cancel the “free 3 day offer” that automatically turns into a 7 day device with a charge. I don’t find this useful at all

Buggy and too expensive. The help button doesn’t work - there is no way to check and see how to unsubscribe and it’s unclear. The app is really expensive and has a 3 day free trial then I t’s $8 a week… 🤯

Not worth it. I got it to try it. I tried it on one of my husky tomato plants just to see if it would be accurate or not. Needless to say on my 2 star rating is it wasn’t. I took multiple photos, tried different angles and close ups a good 5 times to see if it would tell me the correct plant, and it kept telling me my husky cherry tomatoes were a poisonous Christmas tomato plant. Lol. So, after the 5th go round, I gave up. It’s a cool concept which is why it got above a one star, but it’s good for nothing until it can actually identify the correct plant. I wouldn’t pay for it.

Too much. Too many tutorials when all I wanted was to take a picture and see info about a flower but I couldn’t even find where that was. It kept asking for a monthly fee every time I did something

Pretty nice app. I think this app is pretty good to use. I just got a Moth Orchid and I use this app to care for it! (And my knowledge of plants) I know I can’t expect perfect answers unless it’s from a real person and not a robot or something like that lol. So far this app seems like it has a lot of information and care tips. Another thing I would suggest they update is Maybe making the price for premium cheaper though I can’t complain much because it I guess it’ll work. I’ve only use this app for a while but again it’s so far worked pretty well and definitely recommend if you are plant parent like me! Though looking up care tips, make sure you have the right plant, I accidentally looked up the wrong plant and got the wrong care tips. Didn’t work so well for me! I I hope you find this review helpful even though it doesn’t have that much to say just lots and lots of words. I think I typed too much just to say a little.

After I subscribed and get charged the app no longer works. I was loving this app! Was very useful and helpful but now I haven’t been able to use it or contact support. I’m unsubscribing. So sick of getting ripped off

Don’t get it.. Should be no star!! I looked at this for 2 minutes then deleted it when it said $7.99! I still got charged the $7.99! I am trying to get a refund, so far no luck! It’s outrageous and wrong! Not sure where to go next! Please stay away from this one!!!

The plants. It does not tell the right plant and if you want to know about the plant it tells you nothing about it, you also have to pay to do certain things on the app.😡👎🏻

Rip off. This is a rip off. I’ve tried canceling this several times. They still are continuing to take money out of my account. I would NOT recommend this at all.

Terrible. This app identified a rosemary bush as salvia and a fig tree as a banyan tree. I tried 7 times taking pics of individual leaves on the fig tree, large and small leaves (new and old) and it always calls it a banyan tree. To justify cancelling, I shot the rosemary bush that’s a no- brainer and when it said salvia, I emailed to cancel my membership.

Free trial doesn’t even work. I love the idea of this app so I’m really sad that I can’t check it out fully on the free trial. I signed up for the free trial but the app refuses to recognize that I have a trial account. When I click “Restore” I get an error message that says “No valid purchase”, and then when I scan a plant in the identifier it won’t display the articles about the species I get hits for. This is an expensive subscription so I think I deserve a chance to make sure I like all the features before buying it. So I’m probably gonna cancel tomorrow. Come on guys, this could be a great thing for the world if you fix the issues.

Love the app! The only thing is the free trial.. I absolutely love this app! If it wasn’t for this app, my Anthurium Lily probably would’ve died. My only one concern is the free trial. I did subscribe to the free trial and it did work for the first week (which I know is normal) but after that it said it expired (which I know is also every normal). The only thing is that it didn’t still say subscribed even when I subscribed to the monthly regular plan. Please check this out. Thank you so much for this awesome app though!

Very disappointed. I understand in app purchases but not being able to fully see what the app can do without restrictions was a huge let down. I couldn’t even use a single function before the app was requested money. No thanks, I’m definitely deleting this.

SCAM. Do not get this app. It did not work the day I downloaded it and so I canceled the “free” subscription but was still charged a week. They claim in responses to reviews that you have to go in your phone settings to cancel yet they make sure those instructions are not available in the actual app. I know for a fact I canceled and the app said my subscription would end the following week yet they were still able to charge me and contacting Apple, they make you wait for a 48 hour review to see if they will refund. Apple trying to tell me that they don’t see the cancel on their end until the day I filed the dispute. Because the app is a scam and makes you think you canceled in-app just to scam you out of money. Clicking the manage subscription button in-app, there should be a clear message there saying you have to go in your settings on your phone and cancel. This message only shows up AFTER they scam you out of a week at $7.99. SCAM!!!!

If only!. Let me start by saying i love this app! It is full of amazing information and its so simple, just click a couple pictures and done, a wealth of information at your finger tips. Sadly is way OVERPRICED ! 7.99 a week? I do not need plant info that often to pay that amount of money just to find out the name of a plant when google can tell me the same thing with an image search.

Good concept poor execution. Doesn’t save the photo or health analysis of the plant, just a generic pic in the my plant’s section. Doesn’t recommend specific amount or numbers of days to water- nothing more than a reminder app that you fill in on your own. The analysis I did get gave me a 50% likelihood that my plant was overwatered and a 50% chance it was underwatered. Trying to cancel but ofc they make that super difficult. Better option: Don’t bother in the first place.

Useless. Hasn’t been able to identify or help tend to any of my plants. I have another app that id’s accurately all the time; I got this one to help tell me how to take better care of my plants but it can’t really do that I it can’t tell what it is, can it?

Customer support. Used there email to report an issue with a charged subscription with no response I only intended to try the app but easily, and accidentally purchased a subscription. Cannot find a way to remove the annual renewal

Worthless. I got this app and tried to identify a plant 4 times with no correct result. I tried doing the same once with google and the plant was identified on the first try. Don’t waste your money folks, google does the job for free. Btw, the plant was oregano.

Unlawful fees just charged. Do not get this app they just charge you fees whenever they feel like it and there is no way to delete your personal information from the app. This is a top off

Not helpful. I think it’s a great idea but you can’t do anything on the app with out paying. I mean like absolutely nothing, you can’t add you plants, can’t identify plants, can ‘health check’ on your plants, can’t have a weekly/daily plan to look after your plants. The only thing you can do is look at other peoples plants and maybe scroll through until you find yours?

Disappointing. I got this app so I could check to see if the plants in my garden were safe for our new puppy. Incorrectly identified 3 out of 4 and could not recognize 2 others. Waste of time and money. Very disappointing.

Not useful. Every plant checked seemed to have only one standard answer Fungi. I think it’s a great idea but not worth the price.

Tried it objectively but it’s a used car dealership.. Could not get past the free trial nor subscription gates the app is loaded with. With all the death-by-thousand subscriptions people are under assault, they are banking on people forgetting when their free trials are up so they can auto renew you. It’s a common unspoken part of these sol-called freemium business models. I sincerely wanted to have a good experience, coming from an ad I saw on Instagram. My partner warned me she had tried and and thought it was useless. Putting on my engineering hat I found that the business decisions the creators have made to put sign up hurdles *everywhere* won’t enable the actual software to shine. I took one photo of a tree and after agonizing waiting in the background, it finally said it couldn’t be identified. Sorry this is going into trash heap now. Maybe someone will try again when your sign-up process isn’t so used-car-sales.

Horrible app. Only way to use it at all is to subscribe. Don’t even install this garbage. Will try and get you to subscribe before your first use. Total scam and should not be allowed in App Store.

Little improvement please. App is working so far. But I find it inefficient to leave the plant under my plants and to go to the Home Screen to do a light meter check or health check. I think these functions should exist within the plant screen itself so when you do them it knows which plant the data is associated to and can keep it all together. Less clicking around and fewer user questions.

This App is an Scam. I only used this app for once and it has charged me three times after I unsubscribe it. If the unsubscribe system is broken on their side, I doubt if it is intentional. I have tried unsubscribed from the app, from App Store and it is still charging me. Anyone know how to deal with this.

Very limited free trial?. I identified/added 2 plants and then it wouldn’t let me do anymore. It said something along the lines of, “To get the most out of our app, subscribe,” and the costs per week, month etc. Not sure how it’s a free 3 day trial if you are extremely limited after barely 5 minutes. I wasn’t able to use the plant health identifier at all.

Warning not to use the app - SCAM app. I downloaded the app and it wouldn’t identify the plants properly. I then straight away tried to cancel my subscription so I don’t get charged after 3 days of free trial. However the app doesn’t have any option to cancel subscription. The help option in the app doesn’t work either. After some research I found their support email and now emailing them to cancel my subscription. Hopefully they cancel this in time. Please don’t download as a SCAM app!!

Inaccurate Plant Identifier. There are better apps than this one. It is not very accurate- has trouble with even common plants and it’s expensive!

Not helpful. I wanted something that would tell me how to care for my plants. Although it did identify my plants, did nothing to help me care for them. I’m terrible with plants and seem to be killing some ones that I just bought. So I got this app and so far it has not helped me at all. In addition I need to put my alarms of when to water and stuff but if I don’t know when, why can’t the app suggest? Waiting for the 3 month subscription to expire so I can get another better plan health checker for tips…

Good app for plants but impossible to cancel. It’s a good app for identifying plants but I don’t want to pay for it anymore and it’s impossible to find how to cancel it! Scam. Do not sign up, they collect and distribute your information to “fulfill contract obligations”. They do not follow the “do not track” request if selected. There is a bunch of other item which are cause for concern in the vagueness of their policy. Also the developers are based in Russia, need I say more.

Can’t identify my plants. I tried to scan a few of the plants I already have identified to see if the app could recognize them. I tried scanning my monstera, it could NOT recognize it. I tried a few others and it’s very u specific, the info it gives you is mediocre. Not useful to me. I canceled my subscription while still in the three day free trial. Which I feel like three days to try the app is not enough, especially considering how expensive it is. I would have loved more time to scan more plants and mess around to get the hang of it. But for the price and how mediocre I felt it was, not worth the risk to see if it can actually be useful.

Getting robbed!. I just found out that I’m $80+ for an app I’ve never used. Be careful with the shade on this one, they automatically start charging you excessive amounts, WEEKLY!!!! Run!!!. Wouldn’t get the plants or trees right and then it claims to “diagnose” wether the plant/tree is sick or nutrient deficient. Well you guessed it! The app told me flowers and trees that were actually sick and nutrient deficient in some.

Everything is a pear!. I scanned 5 totally different plants and it kept identifying them all as pear trees

Couldn’t identify a common succulent. I signed up for the free trial so I decided to start by scanning a plant I knew the name of. The guesses from the app weren’t anywhere near correct on a common succulent.

Rip off. It don’t work 5 plant pics all identified wrong these are everyday known Oklahoma plants

Tree ID isn’t accurate. Identified all of my shrubs and trees as the same tree when clearly they weren’t. This might be a great for indoor and outdoor plants.

Potatoe. My daughter planted potatoes and that is all in a large pot and this app did not even identify it as a potato. I can’t get my money back either.

Review. One star was generous. 97% accurate claim is balderdash. After a dozen tries, it failed to iD what I knew to be daylilies, and called what I knew to be a Black Cherry a - are you ready- Maple. Yup, it called a Cherry a Maple.

No good. Downloaded it for free trial followed instructions and could not I’d anything. Not even poison ivy. Then I tried to find how to unsubscribe and could not. I deleted it but don’t charge me when free trial is over.

Cancellation deliberate Hurdles. They try not to let you go, by not simplifying the process.

Doesn’t work… at all.. 0 for 4 on my first attempt to identify 4 things. The full app is pretty pricy. If I would have paid money for this I would have been livid. Dodged the bullet on this one lol.
