Nice … Couple of Quirks. Very nice calendar app, basic but enough. Two negatives of note: the right side of the “yearly view” is cut off (yearly view is not centered). As a result, many date numbers are not visible. This appears to be a problem only on my iPhone 12 Pro as the view is perfectly centered on my iPad and my wife’s iPhone 11. The other issue is contained in the “monthly view.” Not all the days of the month shown have dates or numbers associated with each day. The view contains some date numbers but substitutes “dots or periods” for roughly half the days of the month. Again, this is only on my iPhone and my wife’s. Not sure why the Developer took this route as there is room for the numbers to displayed. Since I use my calendar many times a day on my iPhone, I hope these issues (for me at least) can be addressed quickly.

good. a good planner app with a widget ive been searching for 👍🏼 i do wish you could use your own photos as a background image or at least more color varieties for themes. it'd be nice for it to be more customizable

No Details on Month View???. I really wanted to love it. Does what it says, but the pictures above don’t show you everything. Why no details on the iPad month view, just dots???? That is terrible design. That is the one most important view for me, sorry i wasted 2.99.

Nearly perfect. This is nearly perfect! I love this calendar already! It would completely replace my other calendar widget, if the icon would read the date rather than show the logo.

Good Concept But Freezes Up. The difference between calendar events and tasks is very helpful. However, The app freezes up every single time I try to add a location to my task. It says I don’t have location access enabled when I checked my settings and I have indeed allowed the app access. I end up having to close out the app and restart it only to find the problem is not solved by any of the previous actions I took before to troubleshoot it. Once the glitches get ironed out, I’d be interested in using this calendar app.

Can’t invite attendees. Love the app and the concept. The invite attends has not always worked well but now when I try it crashes the app. I would have messaged the creator directly but I could not find contact info.

Handy. good app simple to use no bug

Don’t like the type size. On the prior program I could read every entry in week view. On this new version I have to go to day view to see the entire entry. Please allow a lower type setting so I can read entries in the week view

No notification support. Would be 5 stars if notifications worked. It lets you add reminders (as if it works- then those deadlines pass without alerting you). But there is no actual notification support. I’ve looked under iOS settings and it isn’t even listen under Notifications as an option to turn on. Otherwise brilliant display of events and tasks but please add notifications

Crazy changes. For some reason my widget on my iPhone doesn’t change the date and today it’s totally blank

Still prefer the original. I like it but I prefer the original because in timed events there a view in the day view that shows you conflicting appointment at that is not in this new version. Thanks.

Notifications do not work. As pointed out by another reviewer, the notification feature of the app does not work. This is a serious bug and needs to be fixed. Previous: I really wanted to like this app, but when adding/editing events the app frequently would freeze. It then becomes necessary to close the app and launch anew. This is beyond a little annoying, and hence the low rating. I uninstalled the app and the reinstalled it, hoping that this would help. Alas, it did not. Adding events and editing them is a fundamental requirement of a calendar app. Too bad, I really did want to like this app.

Very nice, but need help. This is a very nice app, but I need some help, please. I need to delete some accounts and add a new one. How do I do that??? Rick

Won’t let me add widgets?. The whole reason I purchased this was to utilize the widget as a weekly onscreen planner, but I’m not seeing widget as an option... any ideas? :(

?check off the list?. The only thing I would like to see is to be able to check off the things on my list that I have completed. Otherwise, this app is a true lifesaver for my schedule. Just like a paper calendar but “smaller” and very accessible!

Widget is not updated. Widget is bot updated(refreshed) when date has changed. I placed widget on 21, Feb. On 22, Feb, widget still displays 21st.

Clean Interface with Widgets. This calendar offers a clean and simple interface reminiscent of a daily/weekly desk calendar of yore. The widgets are great offering a daily schedule (small), weekly (large) or a side-by-side daily schedule and month calendar (medium). Also, allowing for personal color for the calendar, including widgets, allows for a clean interface matching my phone. Thanks!

Awesome! Love it!. I was looking for something like this, and this app is wonderful! Only thing I would love to see is the option to have it sync with apple REMINDERS over calendar or both! I’m not sure if this possible- but I use reminders as my weekly planner and it would be extremely convenient to see it in pocket book format (your app). I don’t really care to see “ mop the floor” on my main calendar even when I select the option as task (not event)! Lol I know I can switch the calendar function off (by not selecting any calendars) and others may enjoy the syncing with calendar(s) function- I just wish we had the option of reminders! Also the option to REORDER tasks/lists once they are on the schedule..instead of having to delete them and add them in backwards order.. would be fantastic! Thanks a lot for the app though, it’s definitely a keeper! And it is immensely appreciated that you do not collect information or data!

Love this but info not showing up on my iPad. Hi, I think I need app support. Everything is showing on my phone. I love the way it imports from my gmail and everything but none of my meetings or tasks are showing on my iPad. Is there a trick?

PaperCal. When I enter an event and then as soon as I touch the time to change it, it just goes back? I’ve restarted my iPhone but still can’t change the end time?

Badges. Excellent app. Almost nothing to say. Only that badges seem to be missing.

Very nice tool. For the nostalgics of old paper calendar, very nice and easy to use. A big step forward in regard of "week calendar", it's ancestor! Love it.

Disappointed. It away freezes up when creating a task or event. Really disappointed. I have to close the app and reopen every time.

Near perfection. I've been searching for a calendar replacement and it appears I've finally found it. PaperCal is similar to the calendar app I used and loved for years until it was rendered obsolete by an iOS update. Although the app I'm referring to had fewer features and far less elegance, I appreciated the simplicity and ease of use. PaperCal is like an old favorite with a massive upgrade! I've only run into one problem... PaperCal is absent from my list of widget options. Hopefully this can be fixed? (iPad Mini 5, 14.8.) Thanks to the developer. You have a winner here! 😊📆🌟

Beautiful but two edits would be nice. It is a beautiful calendar that just needs two small edits to give it 5 stars: 1. A few more highlight colors would be welcome to distinguish more calendar topics. 2. A few more backgrounds would be really great. Thank you so much for fixing the month’s view with events not dots on calendar. ❤️

Almost my favourite calendar. I love Paper Cal as far as the app itself goes. Easy 5 stars. I just have a problem with the widget. The daynames react to the system font-size settings in Accessibility. The events themselves however are still displayed in the tiniest font-size possible and next to unreadeable to me. (iPad Pro, iOS 17) Please make those events also refer to the system font-size and I will be perfectly happy.

Perfect with one request. I like this app, functional & easy to navigate. My request is to make the app able to function without having to connect a calendar or email to it. I don’t want the tasks I put on this app showing up and cluttering my Google calendar. I was hoping to use this app for meal schedule, workout schedule, daily misc chores and tasks, separate from my events schedule in Google which is shared with my family. Is this possible?? Thanks!

Submitted one star mistakenly - this is a great calendar. Unfortunately fat fingered my review to start off with, and gave it a one star rating. Anyway, I love the way it looks and it is extremely functional. It is 1000 times better than the built-in calendar. This is a really nice change from most of the other calendar apps that look so similar. And all of the expected functionality is there. …think I’m going to enjoy using this.

Awesome calendar. Just one problem…My home calendar on the agenda setting only shows one event, I have to open to show all events… just started doing this I had no previous problems showing all events…What’s the fix…

Great but one issue. Love love love this app. It’s a superb view on my week. I have noticed though that the widget is stuck on a day for some reason?

Easy to use with good overview. It has a good feel and look, quite like the old paper diary but with all the benefits of being electronic and across all devices. Themes are good but nice if there were more. Like the additions of a colour to an entry.

Love it! Some suggestions. If the widget could show a preview of the next day that would be awesome. Also if the week view had an option where the top header was days of the week and below in each column was the day on lined paper that would be awesome.

I just opened it, and… WOW!. Unless I update this once I do start to use the app, I can say that my first response upon opening it was a wonderful sense of familiarity and a clean clips clear view of my days. Thank you!! No google calender. Only four star because no google calender

Sync with Outlook. I cannot get this app to synchronize with the outlook calendar nor can I find support. The app itself looks great. I would be happy to pay if I could get the sync to work.

Very nice. Visually stunning, and does what it needs to as a calendar. My one wish list request is to have a setting to determine which view is default upon opening the app. I typically use month view, it always opens on week view.

I love it.. A beautiful calendar to look at and work with. It is not in competition with the powerful Fantastical and others but there is no subscription. There isn’t even a cost; unbelievably it’s FREE! I use it 90% of the time and I have other calendar apps. I especially like the weekly view on the iPhone; it’s like having a paper agenda giving you a glance of what’s ahead. And flipping pages feels so natural. Suggestion to the developer: Change the name to Paper Calendar. I say this because the app is not easily discovered (maybe because it’s free??) using the search word “Calendar”. I also think that a small one time purchase or the ability to send you a financial tip would be nice to show one’s support. Thank you.
