Was expecting better from DJI. Be aware, or beware, this is just a simulator but tracks you, your data, and files across all your apps. It does say that so theres that. The app is large and that’s expected but could be smaller and less laggy if they would drop the unnecessary data collections. If you are new to fpv then the lag adds to nausea because you expect to move when you move the sticks but with a delay. If you are here to practice your dji fpv then just fly it in safe mode and learn from that.

MUST HAVE FPV GOGGLES. This app is only for FPV drone users and is not compatible with the mavic pro. I hoped that it would help me become more comfortable using the remote control in a virtual setting instead of learning by flying the actual aircraft. Due to regulations, FPV isn’t an option for me flying alone- I have to keep it in line of sight or have a spotter while I fly, so I did not buy the FPV goggles for my drone. Unfortunately, this app requires the use of goggles to get past a certain point so I was never actually able to use the app. This is a good idea though- I wish that it would accommodate older remotes and drones and that I didn’t have to buy new equipment to practice flying virtually.

Goggles won’t connect. I have an iPad Pro 2021 and dji digital fpv system (not the dji fpv, yeah confusing, I know) and I cannot get the goggles and controller connected. I understand this is for the dji fpv drone but the dji digital system uses the same goggles so I would think it would work. But apparently not. So I am stuck using the goggles with a traditional sim and clunky converters because dji doesn’t allow video-in over USB-C, but that’s a whole different issues.

Good start for fpv but…….. I’ve had DJI GPS based drones for a few years. Although fun and allowed me to take my eyes to the sky much cheaper compared to fixed wing, I’ve always felt a rush watching FPV videos. I’ve really wanted to dive into FPV for years but didn’t know where to start. The DJI FPV kit has helped me get the goggles strapped on. The app itself has potential but I feel the feedback of the controls are probably laggy compared to flying the fpv in real life. I also find the goggles freezing every 5-10mins and have to turn them off and back on and restart the app. The app is still running on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, but froze on the goggles. I’m trying to use this as a tool to hone in on some experience before I even think about acro in real life, but the constant goggle crash is leaving me to consider alternate simulator options. I own 5 drones and every drone is DJI. It’s the only drone brand I’ve bought. I feel I’ve showed my commitment to DJI so please show your commitment to your supporters/purchasers and fix the app.

Goggles bug. I have been using this to learn to fly for a long time now. But now every time i put the goggles on it bugs out for some reason. It shows a bunch of green lines and sometimes you can see good. Tried using a different cable but it still doesn’t work. I would love to see a class where it shows you to do small little tricks and 360 spins in the air too

Used to be great!. I used to love this app and spent 10+ hours in it. It really helped me learn how to fly! However after the latest update I noticed two major issues: 1) the right controller stick is no longer functional in the menu selection (keeps getting brought down to bottom of the screen even when stick is centered). 2) in manual mode, the way the drone now handles in the app is way to sensitive compared to real life in. Yes I changed some of the controller settings from default, but the way the simulation flies is way too sensitive.

DJI sim. Would be a great sim but is simply unusable. I’m so glad i did not use this to learn flying or I would have learned the wrong way. The “mode 2” controls are almost right but the left stick is not supposed control the pitch of the aircraft. You would think that DJI would know what mode 2 is. It’s ridiculous to me. Had me flying like I had never flown a day in my life. I’m sure I could learn to fly this way but then my muscle memory would be wayyyy out of wack. DJI the left stick in Mode 2 is supposed to control throttle and the direction the quad is facing. Not throttle and the direction the quad is leaning which is still backwards anyways. Left leans right and right leans left. This makes the app unusable for me and that is a shame. Well there you have it folks. Dji can’t say I didn’t tell them. Keep in mind I am using only my iPad.

Mode Button doesn’t work for Motion controller. I just got the Avata drone and was happy to see this simulator so that I could practice before taking my drone out. Unfortunately, the simulator doesn’t register the Mode button presses so I can’t finish the controller overview and I can’t get a time better than 22 seconds on the factory time trial because I can’t switch to sport mode. Also the time trials suggest switching to manual mode which the motion controller doesn’t even support so the base speed for the stadium time trial isn’t even possible. Also this together means that I can’t fully make use of the simulator since many of the tracks are still locked and impossible to unlock since the mode button doesn’t work. I’m hoping they will release a software update soon.

A lot of potential but….. I can’t really use it. The view from goggles is pixelated and laggy. I understand this may be apple problem with the latest version / update but there is no real alternative other than “play on iOS device that has not been upgraded”. I’m looking forward to revised and fixed app. That’ll bump the rating to 5 stars.

Poor resolution. Unless you run the app on a version of iOS that's version 16 or prior the graphics are so bad in the googles it makes it unusable. If you're just watching the phone screen then it's fine but in the googles it's horrendous. I use it on an old iPad that I never updated and they're pretty good on it so I gave it 2 stars. Dji please update the app so the fpv goggles can have usable resolution and it would get 5 stars

Doesn’t Work!. I am incredibly dissapointed in this! I recently purchased the DJI FPV and because it’s difficult to fly, I wanted to use the simulation to get the hang of it before I actually used the aircraft outside. I can start at the different scenes but I can’t accelerate nor can I move the drone from left to right. I’m using the motion controller if that makes any difference. Based upon the other reviews here, this used to be a good app until something happened which screwed it up. DJI: Can you fix this app so that we can get practice on how to use this FPV which we purchased from you before we go out on our own and probably end up crashing it. Oh wait...then we buy another one from you - $$ out of us and $$ to you. Not sure if you read these comments anymore. I know that you used to. I’m probably just another voice in an endless sea of people asking you to fix this.

Good for Learning But…. I have the goggles 2 which work flawlessly with this app. I have had no issues so far. The only thing I can say as a negative is that flying in the simulator is not quite a 1:1 for flying in real life. It’s good. But even if you’re doing pretty well in the simulator, you may still end up crashing several times in real life.

FIRE THE ENGINEERS OF THIS APP. I began using the simulator the same day I bought my first FPV and it’s insane to me how many things DO NOT WORK. Everything on the controller works EXCEPT the control sticks. I’ve gone through every trial and tribulation to find this connection between the remote sticks and the app but it WILL NOT work. Super disappointing to pay sooo much and feel like the products are actually worth $12. Taking this back and switching to anything that isn’t DJI. I just don’t feel comfortable practicing with the live drone immediately and the simulator doesn’t work so that’s my only option. Rating 1/10 because it looks great. But isn’t great.

Ok…. I think the game is really fun just I hoped I could use only my controller and phone or just only my controller to control the drone I don’t want to purchase the goggles just so I can use my controller if you could add this mode I would give a full five star review because overall the game is really good

Unfortunate. This app actually has a ton of potential. It’s simple to get going and get flying. It feels good overall when using the controller. It’s definitely enough to get you used to the feeling of manual mode. The issue I have is the same as many others. With this latest edition of iOS 15.4 the app isn’t usable with the goggles. The goggles glitch and show graphical anomalies constantly. They lag and don’t allow you to see anything essentially. Then the goggles shut down and restart. This is definitely the app and iOS having issues. Not hardware related. Just waiting for a fix to update the review. This can be awesome way to practice eventually.

Getting worse. At first this app worked great. Now it is very very jittery and very very slow. The simulator does not act anything like the actual drone now that they’ve done an update.I would definitely not recommend this simulator to anybody getting into FPV for the first time it will not do you any good it will just cause you more issues down the road. I would download steam and use the DLR simulator. You’re going to get more training out of it then you will the DJI simulator. Don’t get me wrong I like the DJI FPV drone it’s the simulator it isn’t good at all. All.

Appreciate the effort!. Thank you for updating this app, I really appreciate the team that is trying to fix the problems. While this most recent update did fix many bugs and issues, I still continue to have problems with iPad Pro 2021. App runs fine on iPad but FPV googles freeze mid level. Pressing “main menu” resets and makes the googles work again. Thank you again!

Decent FPV Trainer. It’s great for training. It definitely helps to get you ready for full manual mode and it feels somewhat realistic. It is glitchy and has freezes between goggle and phone. There are difficulties toggling between time trial and free flight. The landing is not as realistic as it could be in m mode. One thing to definitely change aside from the above glitches would be an ability to not have to do a basic transmitter tutorial every time you want to practice. A great start to opening the FPV world to more people. I hope DJI continue to perfect this simulator!

Great idea but issues with iOS 15.4. Just bought a DJI FPV drone and thought I’d practice before going out to fly. Unfortunately as others have mentioned there seems to be a connectivity issue with the latest release of iOS 15.4 that results in a scrambled DJI goggle display and repeated disconnects. So you’re left to either use the touchscreen joysticks 🙁 or attempt to fly the drone without any prior practice and hope for the best 😐. Hope DJI can provide an update soon 🤞

YOLO. I was hesitant to take the plunge on the DJI FPV system because of cost and durability concerns but I’ve fallen in love with this beast for its overall versatility and power. I have a number of other quads I can bando bash all day. I won’t be doing that with this qwad. Turns out this thing is just fun easy and a pleasure to fly. The range is a whole new dimension for me and I’m still blown away by the clarity and quality of the v2 goggles. That combined with a high end DJI camera drone that happens to do ACRO? Yeah I’m glad I pulled the trigger. Haven’t crashed yet. So far am having a ball!

Really want to like this app, but …. The primary reason is that the Mode key doesn’t register at all. I’m using the Motion Controller (just got the Avata) and cannot get through the Academy or advance past 2 rankings to unlock their tracks. As others have noted, the tracks even ask you to use Manual Mode to increase your speed and co tools but absolutely nothing happens when clicking the mode button. I do also notice that the app isn’t as responsive as is when using with the actual drone. (I’ve got an unused warehouse that I can practice in and I notice a considerable difference than the app.) Until the Mode key is able to register it is pretty much impossible to use the app and advance thru all the levels.

Needs updating. I never take the time to write a review, but this app is deserving. If you have this app, you likely spent about a grand on DJIs FPV drone. It’s a flight simulator, well.. it’s supposed to be. It’s currently a pixel simulator. If you have a current version iPhone or iPad there’s a problem with the graphics. This problem makes the simulator completely unplayable in the goggles. The last update to this app was 11 months ago, and there are hundreds of forum posts with the same problem. I’m currently playing the simulator Liftoff on my computer, but I want to practice with the goggles on sitting on my couch. If DJI updates the app, and fixes whatever issue they’re having this is a fantastic simulator as I played it about a year ago on my brother in laws iPad with his drone. Graphics were crisp and clean, controls felt great too. If you have an older, un-updated iPad or iPhone the app should work just fine. But in its current state this simulator is unplayable. Don’t waste your time. Get liftoff on your PC.

It’s not bad. I have been seeing reviews on the app that talk about freezing and input lag. I have personally never experienced any of this except for once, and it was because I was not using the lighting cable. The app runs fine on a IPhone 13 Pro Max with or without the goggles. It is also a good app for some quick fun because I can use it anywhere on the touch screen and have the same controls as the headset. Great app and software even if you don’t own a DJI FPV you should still try it out!

Not compatible with DJI Goggles Integra or Goggles 2.. On the opening menu of this app, you have three options in which to use it- with DJI FPV Goggles 2 and Remote Controller 2, DJI FPV Goggles 2 and Motion Controller, or just using your phone. Considering that the DJI Avata packages include either the DJI Goggles Integra w/ Remote Controller 2 and Goggles 2 with Motion Controller, this app is pretty useless if you want to learn to fly after buying a package. It needs to be compatible with the DJI Goggles Integra, DJI Goggles 2 and Motion Controller if you expect to use the app to learn to fly with the pro-view or explorer combo.

Need brightness adjustments. This app ok for what it’s worth. Maybe DJI will update and fine tune this app soon. Also needs control for brightness adjustments and maybe some tactile touch features. Overall it a cool app to prepare for future flights.

Random tutorials playing under totally different menus. Tutorial start playing under the wrong modes, then tutorial mode doesn’t work, videos freeze. Tried on different phones with similar issues. Tutorial starts and then virtual drone won’t take off and input won’t work. Manual mode will work for a short time, and then fail. Calibration is off by a small amount no matter how you calibrate, making it very hard to control correctly. Just many problems, impossible to learn until taking to the sky and then battery is short.

Not bad for the price. Overall this app is great for its intended purpose, but it’s still a simulation so it may not be exactly what the real life experience is like. With that this is a great tool to get your muscle memory started, learning how to do coordinated turns and such. As for the cons, this version every once and a while will just stop. Not the whole program, just the drone. It’s like it hits something mid-air, but there is nothing nearby. The drone feels a little “floaty” sometimes. Also it seems to fly slow. In real life I fly with ~20 degree camera angle, but in the simulator I run ~35 to get the same speed. Overall I highly recommend this for anyone starting to fly their DJI FPV before going in manual in real life.

Cool but flawed. This app is great to fly a drone without having to crash the real thing. The only problem is that there are only 3 preset control settings and you can’t customize them. The preset controls are counter intuitive to the majority of video games. PLEASE add the functionality to change each directional control. Right now it’s like playing partially in inverted mode. This should be an easy add on/fix.

Bad Compatibility with iOS updates. The resolution of the image that is streamed to FPV goggles is horrendous after updating apple software on your devices. The fact that the last update to this application was 10 months ago is a bit ridiculous considering the app is not compatible with the new model of the motion controller for the avata (How are you supposed to safely train with that piece of gear if its not compatible with the simulator software?). The app needs an update for tons of reasons but primarily they are to be compatible with iOS updates without completely losing its functionality as well as being compatible with all of the hardware that you want to train with for your drone (motion controller 2).

Simulator crashes.. Every time I try to use the simulator in Manual mode it works fine for a minute then crashes and has to restart. How am I supposed to learn manual mode if it constantly charades and restarts. Normal and sport mode work okay but can’t seem to get manual mode to work at all. I also have to look at my phone because the image in the goggles is all pixelated and then crashes the simulator again.

Doesn’t work with motion controller remote. Downloaded this app to try to practice flying with manual mode before enabling it on my drone. App does not work with the motion control stick controller. Key mapping to buttons on the controller aren’t the same. It says to press the accelerator to select and press the brake button to reset your cursor, however the brake button both selects and resets the cursor. Mode button doesn’t get picked up at all by the app, so impossible to even change the mode. Fix your software, 0 stars if I could.

Goggles glitch & controller disconnects. I have no idea what is going on. But I recently tried to go in the app and continue practicing and now I can barely see from the goggles because of the glitched screen & the controller keeps disconnecting. It hasn’t happened at all before but two days ago it has. I connect to my iPhone 11 Pro. Help, thank you. -Aren

Stars?. I really enjoy the app. And flying virtually in the app. But it seems a bit weird to fly the first 2 pre-unlocked time trial maps when you first get the app. The you gain what I can assume are propellers as you master them, but then need Stars to unlock other time trials?! Where are the stars? I have enough propellers to unlock more time trials but I need Stars not Props. Is this just broken? Or am I missing something? Thanks for your time! -Dan

Your kidding right?. Just bought the Dji Fpv last week and downloaded this app, it is pretty much unusable with the goggles since it glitches and crashes repeatedly, the video on the goggles is barely watchable because of interference and glitches, the feed cuts in and out and than the goggles crash and reboot. I can’t even get through the first minutes of the tutorial before the goggles glitch out and reboot making me start the tutorial all over again. That is pretty much necessary since i can't even see whats going on in the tutorial because the video is constantly glitching or getting video snow in the image. I thankfully got to know about another game called liftoff on stream that i have been using to practice its good for the basics but does not cover the functions or buttons on the controller. Still when you buy a expensive piece of equipment like this than this is just unacceptable. If you want to fly in manual mode (that is the main reason for buying this drone) you need to practice before! When investing this much money on a drone that you need to practice on before you fly than this NEEDS TO WORK!

App unusable with goggles. I loved this app when I first got my fpv which is why I’m giving it the one star which is one more than it deserves, but now it’s absolutely useless. The screen on the goggles when connected to my iPhone become scrambled and unviewable. This isn’t happening on my phone. Then the screen goes black. But the session is still going. When viewing through the drone during flight I have no such problems so I don’t think it’s the goggles. Seems to be some problem with this app. I expected so much better from the company that has has brought drones into the hands of so many of us who enjoy the hobby so much. I think the glory days are starting to slip for DJI.

Great app. I find that it seems to have a few glitches or maybe it’s just me and the Motion Controller. Can’t find the buttons with the googles on and I tend to hit the wrong buttons. The sound stops in the googles but it’s still recording on the screen recording. Lots of different places to fly. It will be great experience in the FPV hobby

Great sim. I love this sim on my phone I wish I could use my tango 2 remote but it’s a great pocket flyer and even better if you have the actual fpv system so you can use the goggles. Great way to learn what manual mode is really all about . Good job on this one and it’s freeeeeee!

Broken after iOS 16.4.1. This was working great, but when all of my devices auto upgraded to iOS 16.4.1, now the app is grainy and blocky in the Goggles v2, when attempting to fly. The iPad and iPhone screens look fine, it is just the interface to goggles. It looks like it went full on compression mode like I’m playing a game from 1995. Please update DJI Virtual Flight to be compatible with Apple products again. No, I do not have another “not upgraded” apple device.

Does DJI care?. I recently bought a new DJI FPV drone with the Integra goggles, when I tried Virtual Flight, I found that you can’t use the goggles because the screen is totally pixelated. It would be nice to practice manual mode with the goggles. I looked at DJI forum regarding this issue and it appears that it’s been going on since at least February 2023, it’s now late November. You know there’s a problem DJI, why won’t you fix it? This would’ve been a five star review if the goggles worked with it.

Flight mode does not change from N to S when using a motion controller. Of course, you are great, you have added a lot of new things to this application, different maps and ways of passing, but there are terrible flaws. I bought a DJI Avata, it does not have a control panel that I am used to, only a motion controller - this upset me terribly. I think it's ok, I'll learn how to fly using the motion controller, but when in the application I go through training on the keys of the motion controller at the stage of switching flight modes, nothing happens. That is, I press the “M” button, but nothing happens. And then already on the track when I want to turn on the flight mode and change it from “N” to “M” and when the button is pressed, no changes occur. The drone also stays in “N” flight mode. The drone is brand new and so is the motion controller. I haven't tested it in a real flight and I can't say if the flight mode changes in reality, but in the application it doesn't change, I can say for sure. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't help. And nothing else helped me to fix it. Please fix this problem!

Need FPV goggles to connect fpv controller 2. I bought just the DJI FPV controller 2 only since they don’t offer that controller with the new avata as a combo. I have not bought the avata yet but plan to soon. I wanted to practice with the controller in the simulator so when I do get the the drone I am rdy to fly in manual mode day 1. But there is NO WAY to connect the controller to the app with out the googles!!!!! Soooooo disappointed! The on screen virtual sticks work ok but really want to practice with the actual controller!!!!! Plz plz plz fix! I will update my review when this issue is fixed

Delay in App, can’t progress to other scenes. So I’ve connected the motion controller and googles (and FPV drone) updated the firmware, updated apps... but there is a crazy lag of like 6 seconds every time I start the first timed trail before the simulation of the drone even starts moving forward... it starts engines, rises, and then finally shows the circular site guide and moves forward... as I lay on the trigger. I can’t get past a slower speed range... so I’ve only getting one star on the first sim at best and can’t move to any of the other sim scenes because you need a certain level of star points to unlock them... what’s up with this thing.

Awesome way to get a handle on manual flight. This works extremely well and I have loved using it. I let my 5 year old practice flying with the motion controller and she had a great time. I practiced enough manual flight that I am able to fly in real life because of this app. I loved being able to practice without destroying my drone. Highly recommended!

Unusable. I can’t actually rate the app cause I can’t get it to work. It’s pixelated in the goggles and keeps freezing, restarting and crashing. I keep getting a box that says try again. I’ve tried in my iPad, iPhone, wifi, wifi 5g, cell service, delete app reinstall… nothing works. Outcome is always the same, so it’s the app. I’ve seen other reviews from a month ago saying the same thing so I guess it’s not gonna be fixed anytime soon.

PID’s and Track builder. This is an awesome app with quite a few features but the only two thing I miss is PID tuning for super fine tuning and a track builder for practising basic moves and custom practices. I hope DJI sees this and possible starts working on it then I will even start recommending this to my friends

Not as you will actually fly.. I understand it’s just a simulation but it really is bad. I’ve actually been flying with it for the last few months and the drone actually is way more responsive then in the simulation. The only reason for downloading it was to actually learn how to fly FPV and learn how to do flips, rolls, and dives. I’m going to try and find a different simulation because this just isn’t cutting it. It may be good for somebody to fly on here before you actually fly the drone but if you’ve already been flying it then it won’t do you much good. Granted it did give me some pointers that I didn’t know about but still pretty trashy for the amount of money you spend on the drone. One would think DJI would put more effort into making a more realistic simulation with all the money they make from it.

Worked fine for one night and then….. Was working properly after updating all firmware. Got in one flight, opened the next morning worked for 10 seconds then lost connection to the controller provided in the fpv combo. Now it won’t connect to the controller but will the headset and drone. It will not connect to any part of the controller what so ever. Tried uninstalling and re installing, tried using different cables with and without adapter . Reset all devices powered on and off. And nothing

Just does not work.. I follow all the directions. Spent a lot of $$$ for something that literally crashes and won’t even connect half the time… I cannot get the DJI motion controller to even connect. When I do get the regular controller to connect going through the “controller manuals” it crashes and the goggles reset, the controller disconnects. I’ve tried it over a dozen times, searched the web for anything, everything is up to date so I am lost as where to go from here, as getting my money back I’m sure won’t be an option.

Unusable on iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.4.1. Very disappointing. A piece of software that is supposed to be a feature of the product is completely unusable… and I’m not the only one who says so. A quick search will bring up MANY who have experienced the same problems, starting with the the choppy/unwatchable video transmission in the goggles. The sim seems to run fine on the phone, but trying to get it to run on the goggles results in a reboot after just a few seconds. As a result, you are unable to train on the sim. Better buy the DJI Care service and be super-cautious, because the only way to learn is to fly the drone live. Here’s to hoping either DJI updates the sim or Apple’s next software update somehow eliminates the issues.

Controller not working. RE: UPDATING worked! I wish the Virtual Flight app told me that though. 4/5 until they add a update controller pop up to the VR Flight app. I can’t get through basic Training because my joysticks won’t do anything. It shows both my googles and controller are connected, but when it’s showing me how to fly up nothing happens. I have tried every Controller configuration (1,2&3) still no luck. I just bought this drone yesterday and I wanted to put a couple hours on the VR before my first real flight please help! Actually the joysticks don’t work in any menu but the other buttons do! Why?!?

Only way to fly manual mode with the dji fpv drone.. If you don’t know how to fly on manual mode you need to learn how on this simulator . But especially if you want to really Lear go to fly with time to get the best. Repetition is the key.

Controller 2. It’s not compatible with the their own controller, the FPV Controller 2, why? No idea…

Buggy. This app is great until it's randomly not. Using touch controls or mfi controller, after flying for a while the yaw and roll will swap even though the stick mode still says mode 2 in the settings. Basically useless to practice flying because of this flaw. Not sure how it goes with dji hardware controller.

Really Fun. Amazing simulator! Best thing to do before flying!

Come on. It is too floaty, and powerless

I cannot login!!!. It shows incorrect password when logging in, but I KNOW that it is the correct password

Please please please, more maps…. This app strikes upon a brilliant concept. What do you do when you can’t fly your drone, but you’d really like to? Virtual flight gives us the option of practicing and immersing ourselves within DJI’s product outside of actual flight sessions and at the convenience of our fingertips. However, it’s definitely not getting the attention it deserves. This app is cheaply made and minimal - it needs greater device inclusion (more dji models for virtual training and self-practice) and a greater range of test spaces. The maps included are very basic, and while keeping within device operational capabilities (iPhone) they could be substantially extended/improved in many ways. I would propose a series of additional maps and a greater focus on training simulation for other devices, including in depth explanations of product usage and design. Immerse your audience in your product and you’ll develop the existing DJI customer culture. Develop the culture, and you entice a greater audience by creating a favourable strata for communities. This should be one of the major touch points of the DJI brand! Personally speaking, I’d like to take my flight practice further - with DJI. A trusted brand provides trusted services…

Ok but not compatible with the most popular drones rc. Almost useless as we can’t practice using the rc for dji mini 3 pro or 4. It could be great and really help enhance people’s skills on movie making, getting the most of they drones.

Does not support DJI Motion Controller 2. It's been nearly a year already and still does not support DJI Motion Controller 2

Can’t invert thumb stick. As per subject

Doesn’t work with new Goggles 2 on launch. Doesn’t connect to the new goggles, just display’s connecting forever.

Not support RC Motion 2. This app last update was 1 year ago, please update the app to support RC motion 2, so frustrated

Doesn’t support for goggle 2. Still working with goggle v2, any possible way to use with goggle 2?

Can’t log in. I enter the correct password, but the code verification fails every time

So good. So good but a bit laggy but amazing

Suggestions. Good concept but here’s some suggestions that could take this app to the next level: - please make this compatible with mavic controllers so mavic owners can try the fpv experience a little more realistically instead of having to use the touchscreen - please make this compatible with iPads instead of having the ported version which I’m sure by know you know that that version is broken and won’t play past the title screen - make the app available on M1 silicon mac’s - consider potentially expanding this app beyond DJI fpv to the whole lineup of DJI drones so potential consumers can test drive all the drones - kind of like the windows enterprise version of this app that you offer but on a consumer level Apart from that it seems like a pretty cool concept and good luck with future developments, as for me, I’m stuck waiting until the iPad versions bugs get fixed or the app gets properly optimised for iPad before I give the app a proper go. Thanks

Stick mode. Really want options to be able to change stick mode, if I want to enjoy this app :(

Review + Technical problem. Love this app, Recent update is great. But! now my goggles are freezing randomly mid game sometimes 5 min of flying before it happens sometimes 1min, the app will continue to run on my phone and the controller also still working, just frozen picture and broken dreams, this is very upsetting. Please fix asap.

goggles blurry vision. goggle have been updated and still blurry no good

Just spend 2k and can’t even use the simulator.. The virtual flight sim was literally advertised with the drone. Yet there is no compatibility with motion control 2. Is this not false advertising? Please continue support for this app.

Overall great. I was expecting the pc flight simulator update instead or a mobile app, but it does the job nonetheless.

App freezes in Goggles 2. Would be a great app to use as a training ground, but it keeps freezing in the Goggles. The app instructions clearly show it was designed for the Goggles V2 and not the Googles 2. (Which is what I’m using with the Avata) The hook up of the goggles to the app also doesn’t work until you go into the settings in the goggles, then into ‘more’ and tap in DJI Virtual. Please fix these issues to work with Goggles 2 and the motion controller. Would have received 5 star rating if wasn’t for these fundamental flaws.

和真实的fpv 飞行还是有一段差距,再接再厉. 和真实的fpv 飞行还是有一段差距,再接再厉

Motion controller mode button not working. Love the simulator but I can’t get out of normal mode with the motion controller. Not a problem when flying the drone to switch between normal and sports but not in the sim?

Pointless for folks buying Avata. Does not work with goggles 2 and Avata…

Doesn’t work with new Avata Googles 2. Cannot get app to connect with my new Avata FPV with Googles 2

Perfect for Practicing. Easy to pick up with all the steps included to become a master before even flying your real drone! The ability to use this app with or without the DJI controller or goggles is nice, the only thing I can see would be good if other DJI controllers were supported it that is possible. Overall I would say you are crazy to not practice in this sim if you are purchasing the fpv drone from DJI.

Can’t use my mavic controller. You cannot use a mavic controller with this app how stupid is that you have to have a controller and goggles big oversight.

No longer works with goggles. Since the last update, for some reason the connection keeps dropping out or freezing with the goggles. Remote doesn’t work properly now either, with some of the buttons becoming broken when flying in acro mode.

Doesn’t work after .15 update. The simulator doesn’t work anymore after the latest goggle and drone update …pls DJI FIX IT

Mega good. It’s really mega good but would be better with more maps

Useless for FPV headset. The picture quality in the goggles 2 headset is garbage. California games in the 80’s had more pixels. Quality on the phone screen is fine. iPhone 12 mini. Seems a known issue they haven’t fixed for some time now.

Stuck on demo screen won’t load. As per the title, this app shows a screen of the virtual course and an option to change language ,,that’s it , it won’t load anything else , just plays a video

Add more drone pls. The game is good but could you add more drone

Great to learn, if only the picture quality wasn’t pixelated to glory. Don’t think you’ll get nice crisp images flying virtually with the app. It’s pixelated and is extremely disappointing. I’d hoped it would change when I chose the highest setting in the app, but it still remained as being an absolute piece of junk. I want to get totally comfortable flying virtually before I take a few thousand $ks worth of drone out in real life. But the app is shocking.

Doesn’t work. Can’t login because logging it and filling out the captcha returns a password error. Resetting password from this app with captcha returns a system execution error. Who uses captchas anymore for apps???

Mini 2. Been enjoying the app 5 stars really great training source but would be pleased to see the DJI mini 2 added in or at least the controller to be compatible. :)

Manual control is over sensitive.. I was so excited to buy the drone, but before that, I tried this app to see how it’s like to control manually. So if the manual control is pure depiction of the real drone that’s impossible. The manual control is impossible. I cannot balance the drone at all in manual. The sensitivity is too much.

Connection between iPad and the remote dropped frequently. After the latest iOS 15.4.1 update, the goggle can not display correctly. And the connection between the remote dropped frequently. Once the connection was dropped, the goggle restart.

Love it.. Great for training in manual mode especially on rainy days. Can you please add more scenic maps. Something with steep mountains, cliffs and with tight gaps to let us work on cinematic flights.

Video super low res and blocky in goggles Integra. There is a known problem that the video in the goggles is super blocky, in fact its unuseable. DJI Says it was introduced with an update to the IOS for iPhone and Ipad running latest OS that causes complete egradation of the video in the goggles. The video on the iPhone or Ipad is crisp and clear. DJI’s response it to just go ahead and get another device, this is no answer to your problem DJI, please take ownership of this problem first reported in the DJI forum at the end of March, and it is now November. Please fix this ASAP.

Garbage app. Was hopeful that the bad reviews were due to naive users. This app has issues logging in. Doesn’t recognize your DJI account. Then when running through the tutorial I’m pressing the button it asks me to press and it won’t let me get past the screen. Absolute garbage.

So fun. This application is so nice an fun even if we don’t have the fpv drone!!

Doesn’t Work with (Avata) Googles 2. No matter what I do. I can’t get it to connect with my goggles that came with the Avata.

DJI Goggles 2 Freeze up. Got the new goggles and after about 5 minutes of flying they completely freeze up. The app still works on the phone and everything is fine like that but goggles are non responsive. Have to reset the whole app just to get the goggles working again. App would be amazing if I could fly for more than 5 minutes at a time

Low quality. Low quality when flying

Needs a bit more work. This simulator is good, but to be truly amazing it needs to work with the other controllers, not just the top end gadgets

Does not work properly. Sim display is a fuzzy mess.. Resolution in the goggles is so low it is impossible to see anything. Literally impossible. DJI seemingly makes no effort to make the simulator usable.

Confidence in manual mode. Great app for practicing with my Dji FPV goggles and controller in manual mode before going out to the real world. Hope you can add more levels/areas in the future. Maybe a steep mountain cliff and ocean, waterfall with some forest etc.

IOS issues. Do not update your phone to IOS 15.4.1. The simulator will be unusable at this point due to static and glitches on screen. This is well documented all over the web however DJI has not yet resolved the issue.

Fix please!. The latest 15.4.1 creates artifacts for the headset. It made me think my goggles were damaged. Please fix asap and new environments would be nice!

Glitched fixed but new issues. The glich for iOS 15.4 seems to have been fixed, but now the picture in the goggles freezes after a few seconds. The image on the phone does not freeze.

I love this app but it’s broken on latest iOS. Please DJI fix the app. It’s unusable on latest iOS version.

Work it out. Should be available on samsung

Video quality terrible since latest iOS update. The headset video quality looks very pixelated since iOS update

Rates. Cannot change rates. Stuck on beginner

Avata update not an update at all.. Even when you select to fly the Avata the speed is that of the original FPV, over 20 meters a second in sport instead of 14. If they didn’t even bother to adjust the speed parameters, one wonders whether they even attempted to create an accurate simulation of the drone’s other flight dynamics. This company makes excellent drones with great attention to detail; you think they could produce a half decent simulator for them. DJI you don’t get a passing grade on this, back to the drawing board with you!

Love the new update. Thank for this update I love the fact that I dont respawn after each crash

ios 12. i cant see the text that im typing during login its all white whats happening?

Did the latest 1.4.1 really fix the goggle2 connectivity issue?. It’s still not connecting on my iPhone 12 mini with iOS 15.4. Sad:(

Amazing!!. This app is absolutely great to learn how to fly. Increased confidence and now only comfortable looking at my screen rather than the drone.

Garbage. App is useless. Doesn’t detect mode button on motion controller and barely works for Avata. Don’t waste your time.

Glitchy and Unusable. I just purchased the DJI FPV and was trying to use this app on IOS version 15.4.1 and it glitches like crazy, it is very hard on the eyes. DJI…it’s been 7 months since your last update, feeling ripped off because I can’t practise.

Mmm… the height. I thing the height is not real example a tree which measures 50 meters or a path which measures 275 meters I find that its should be review

Update needed. I would love to use this but I only have a motion 2 controller which isn’t supported.

Disappointing. Trying to train with the Goggles v2 and latest iOS but it gives you a pixelated image in the goggles, it’s fine on the screen but I want to train with my goggles as they’re meant to be used. Please fix this already, it’s been 100+ days without a fix. We’re waiting….

Can’t even start the game. When I choose touch screen control and the game just crash

Yes to iPad Support but Still Glitches!. I have increased my rating from 1 to 3 because there is iPad support right now. There are still 2 issues left that exist on the iPad: 1. Frame rate is not 120fps but 60 2. There are odd visual artifacts when using goggles. There is image duplication and odd lag of non traditional nature. This is forcing me to fly using the iPad screen and goggles are just sitting on my desk. Please fix these 2 issues so I can fly in the sim when the weather is bad outside for the real flying.

Add Googles 2. I have Googles 2 and I can’t practice

W app. This app is a w

Works pretty good!. Add some more drones to the options please! I’m never going to buy the FPV, but it’s good practice for other drones, be even better if you could use a Mavic/Mini2/Air/Inspire.

Does not work with Motion Controller 2. I bought a new Mini 3 Pro and Googles 2 + the Motion Controller 2 and I just found out the Virtual Flight app does not work with the Motion Controller 2. This is brutal… Before you release a controller it should be compatible in your virtual environment. Disappointed.

Email address field too short. I am unable to login with my email address because the email field is limited to fewer characters than my email address. Looking forward to trying it out when I can type in my full email and login.

Choppy frame rate. I couldn’t get this app to load on my iPhone so I used my 2018 iPad Pro. The frame rate for the first level is so bad it gives me a headache. The field level is fine. Second, the tutorials are confusing. Suggested direction arrows make me crash instantly when I follow the suggestions. I wish there was a better lesson or tutorial for manual mode. They don’t really talk about the logic of how the drone moves.

Was working…. I feel bad giving the app something under 4. It was working just fine before the last iOS update, but now its unusable. I cant wait to be able to practice before crashing my drone for real!

T. Would be nice if they was more map

Good but missing some features. It would be nice if we could use it with our controller WITHOUT goggles. For Mavic practise scenarios.

Cannot be used with avata. It doesn’t detect avata and the goggles 2… Great

Hard to fly on smartphone (update). If you don’t have the controller then this app is a pain to fly with touch screen. Just goes all over the place. PS4 controller works but only the joysticks. You would need to use touchscreen for other functions. If this app could be optimised for iPad to make use of better screen that be good. You can use AirPlay but it sometimes lags.

Does not work with headset. When you try and use the headset the video feed is just a laggy glitchy mess. It glitches out for a bout 30 seconds before the headset gives up and restarts. Video looks fine on the phone screen.

Hi. Great product. Would love to see sport plus mode for dji fpv - allowing max speeds while still fully in control of drone. Normal Sport Sport Plus Manual Thank You

Thank so so much for great free simulator.. I have been using this APP for 1year. It was awesome and great. I don’t get that these uncomfortable reviews. Please Never mind. You guys doing well.

Unusable. Video is glitchy and the goggles reboot both on my iPhone and iPad (iOS 15.4.1)

Amazing app. Sharp graphics, looks amazing screen mirrored on an Apple TV. Would be great if this would work with the DJI Mini 2 controller.

Not usable after iOS update. Guys. Not usable at all for weeks now. Cmon. Get to fixing!!!s

Rc motion 2. Upcoming update that support RC motion 2 any soon ?

Power !!. Omg ! Esto es perfecto !!!😍😍

Map off scale. The first map of the lake is about 7 times larger than the actual scale. For example, the height of the truck is about 20 meters, which is ridiculous. When the drone is flying at 20m/s, it only feels like a few meters per second. Please fix this issue asap. Otherwise, I absolutely love this app.

Won’t work after iOS 16 unless you use the screen which is no good. Was something I really enjoyed until about 6 mos ago and after iOS 16 the goggles are are pixelated. Unusable as it is and cannot take my phone back. Dji knows about this, it’s all over their own forum, it’s one of the big perks of buying the dji fpv, but it doesn’t work and they haven’t fixed it in all these months, so who knows if they ever will now.

Great introduction!. Perfect for practice it has replicated real flight with the DJI very well but a little floaty. Use this app to learn manual mode (acro) to the fullest being patient you will crash repeatedly but it’s better then breaking the 1500$ DJI fpv.

Can’t change R/C expo. When I go into settings to change my rates I can see Beginner Standard Advance Custom 1 Custom 2 but when I click on any of them I’m still stuck with beginner. I’ve had this drone and app for about two years and never had this problem when I first got it. Only recently started happening

Sigh. Still having issues on up-to-date iphone 13 mini, when connected to v2 goggles

Keeps crashing my goggles. I don’t know what they did but every time I try to load in the screen is garbled and cuts in and out. Then after a few minutes the goggles crash and reboot. This happens over and over again. I have tried restarting the goggles and still nothing. This issue needs to be fixed as it is unplayable at this point. Side not it looks fine on the phone.

Unusable. Freezes in the goggles within a minute of using even though it’s still running on the phone. Which isn’t good when you release a product to new fpv users that has a manual mode that should definitely be practiced. Thankfully I have experience but would still like to use the app to try new freestyle moves

Wouldn't have learned manual flight FPV without this app. I practice daily with the touch controls and they really help with a controller when I go to get some stick time! Highly recommend!

I phone unworkable. Unfortunate that this has had so many problems playing nice with IOS. I saw some posts from 10 months ago. People were complaining about the same issues I am having now and there hasn’t been an update on this app in a while. The graphics are messed up. The picture is terrible.

Great for training. Really great being able to train without fear of destroying an expensive drone. Would like to see more courses. Training with certifications as the pilot increases skill would be nice to.

Can’t even practice manual because of a bug. The left stick yaw inverts when you switch to manual mode. This is a detrimental bug and according to the forums, it’s been there from the start and they haven’t fixed it. As a result it’s completely impossible to practice manual flight in this app. The physics also feel way way different than flying the actual DJI FPV in real life.

Update Motion Controller 2. Just purchased an Avata with a Motion Controller 2 pro combo. Really awesome flying experience!!!!! Outside, however i wanted to get family familiar with the experience as well. Downloaded everything and NO option or update for the MC2. WHY??? Selling a product and promoting an app to practice on would be nice. When are you going to update this?

Great idea, poor execution. Image quality in goggles is god awful. I also found the drone almost uncontrollable compared to normal flying. Half the time i’m not even using the stick and the thing is still flying full speed into stuff. This needs major work for it to be useable. I’d recommend not even wasting your time until it’s sorted out.

Doesn’t retain user data. Regardless of logging in this app has me logged out and starting from scratch every reboot. If I close the app out I must log in and do ALL the tutorials AGAIN, e v e r y t I m e 😿 I log back on. It’s teaching me a lot but not saving my progress is disenchanting and inefficient.

So much potential. This app can really enhance a new FPV pilots experience with DJI! I was looking for something similar to Liftoff, via Steam. I unfortunately don’t have a PC. This is a great app until it crashes and I’ve read it’s not as accurate as flying the real DJI FPV drone. I hope DJI invests in improving this app and help new FPV pilots have easy access to an accurate flight simulator.

Controls are incorrect. Mode 2 controls are flipped for yaw and roll. Yaw spin should be left stick and roll should be right stick but DJI has purposefully flipped them and not given us a way to change it. Other modes have it flipped but then the up and down and throttle are flipped as well none of the configurations are standard for fpv drones. This app needs a lot of work

So far so good !. Have not Flown my DJI fpv Yet but If this thing is Accurate than it’s a big help because I feel ready after doing it on the simulator 😀

No connection to Goggles 2. Not sure what the point of having a flight simulator advertised for the Avata that comes with Goggles 2, but will not connect to Googles 2. Even when you go through the connection screen is only has outings to connect to Goggles V2. All firmware is updated and just downloaded the app, so nothing is out of date….

Music Stop!!. Plays same riff over and over when attempting the pairing process. Couldn’t stand it! Especially when I was having pairing issues. That constant music while trying to solve my issues deterred my efforts. Had to close the app to get away from the musuck.

iOS 15.4+ NOT COMPATIBLE. This app will not run on an iOS 15.4 or higher device. It’s been so long since DJI has updated this app that it’s no longer current with apples platform. It glitches and restarts within seconds of opening. DJI already shafted droid users when they released their FPV drone, now they’ve cut out the other half of the market. Guess you have to learn by crashing your $1000 drone 🤬

Controller keeps switching. Buggy. Ive been trying to use my DJI FPV controller with the app in mode 2 to practice manual. However for some reason after I pick up speed in the sim the yaw switches from the left stick to the right stick and swaps with the roll in the right stick. Somehow mid flight the controls switch over and it makes it very confusing to fly.

Good. I wish that DJI would create an option to customize the mode stick controls instead of selecting only the three.

DJI hates mode 4 pilots. Seriously DJI, there are 4 control stick modes, not 3, why do you hate mode 4 pilots?? At least on on the Mavic controller I can select a custom setup and manually swap roll and yaw sticks, but not here. Also, where’s the update to work with the new goggles? (And while we’re at it, how about allowing the RC PRO remote to connect to the FPV goggles for the Mini 3 Pro?)

Worked for the first two days but now goggles crash. I recently updated to iOS 15.4 but before I did that this app worked perfectly with my DJI goggles v2 and now when I connect them I see bad lag and the screen losing reception, my goggles then restart over and over again. Not sure what to do here?

Controls issues. The controls are all messed up. The left stick doesn’t do left right turning it does roll. Right stick does left right turning even when I change the mode it’s still a mess. Please fix this asap.

More glitches. So this version fixed the distorted video that happen when upgrading to IOS 15.4.1. Now the simulator constantly is freezing up in the googles and then on the iPad. Looks like there are still glitches to be fixed. It is still pretty much unusable. Still constantly freezes up. Unusable!

Interesting app, but not quite there. How do you get stars to unlock additional time trials? App doesn’t offer any assistance, nothing obvious when I search the internet. Some pretty poor UX design, for sure. I’ll keep playing a few more days, but its utility will probably fade fast… and then I’ll delete it.

FPV goggles 2 not supported. Confirmed from customer care. Was wondering why i am unable to connect the recently released goggles 2. Customer service confirmed that FPV GOGGLES 2 doesn't support the APP. Bummer! Had I known this, i would have never brought the GOGGLES 2. Hope this review gives heads up to other folks who are new to FPV and are planning to buy the GOGGLES 2

As of late the image is blocky in the goggles. This app used to be awesome but lately with updates the goggle view on both V2 and Integra are awful. Blocky and unusable. Using an updated iPhone. Image is great on the iPhone. But in the goggles it’s not playable. DJI please fix this issue! I want to practice with my goggles and controller in M mode.

RC Exp can’t change now?. Hi DJI. Thanks for fixing the goggle issue. But now I noticed that I cannot change the RC Exp settings. It’s stuck on beginner. When selecting any other option, it just goes back to the screen as if I selected beginner again.

Buggy app. Bought my FPV drone today and was looking forward to practicing in the virtual app but I am unable to get past the connection from phone to goggles without app crashing. Please patch! This app would be such a great addition to an amazing product.

2 bugs: cannot unlock new time track; no crosshair. Bug 1: cannot unlock new time track even with enough stars. Bug 2: there is no option to enable cross hair at the center of the view as shown in the App Store. Please fix. Thank you!

app bugs. app has bugs. trying to hide the remote controller but it still appears. Otherwise the experience is good

Like it but. So on track one it says to complete in “n” mode… we’ll I can finish the academy in manual mode at the soccer field but I still can’t put the drone in manual mode on the time trial section at all

It worked for a little while. The flight simulator worked until the iOS update. Now, the video on the goggles is unusable—the bottom half of the screen is patchy. The app also crashes every few minutes. When I connect the goggles to the drone, everything performs correctly. My troubles are definitely in the simulator.

Goggle video feed is horrible!. Would have been 4 to five stars but app is now useless. Started using the sim a few months back and it worked fine. Just plugged it in again last week and the goggle video looks like digital break up. Video on the phone is clear, but after about twenty seconds the goggles crash out. This behavior repeats indefinitely. I can no longer use the app at all.

Mode button not working yet for motion controller. Was hoping after the recent update, they would have fixed this issue, hopefully they will soon. Must be a challenging issue if they haven’t fixed it yet. Everything else is good though.

Why just FPV??. This would be great if I could just use me DJI remote with it and not need the googles? Why not allow just the remote interface, it appears you should get the option to but only has three options two with mandatory FPV or just using the screen.

Used to be a great app. It used to be a great app when I was using my old iPhone XS but after I updated it to iPhone 13 pro the app doesn’t work. It always has glitches, you just can’t practice, I tried another iPhone 13 max pro and iPad and it’s the same. Please update the app

Awesome App!. DJI Virtuel Flight is by far the best place to learn to fly a DJI drone. I learned pretty quick and confidently bought myself a DJI Air 2S drone. I still use the app to sharpen my skills every morning. Thanks DJI VF.

Absolute Trash sim that doesn’t work. My controller constantly disconnects and the sim in the VR goggles looks all messed up. I’m in the middle of a flight and my controller constantly disconnected after multiple times and reboots. Does not work. Just go fly it outside to learn how to fly the drone. You’re better off not wasting your time with this app.

Unusable. Video display in googles 2 is like wet dog poo. App has potential but is not even usable in its current form. Video on iphone screen looks decent, but when you are looking through the goggles its probably 144p, and I am still being generous. Resolution is TERRIBLE! I was trying to use this app on an iPhone 11 with iOS 17.4 and with my Goggles 2. Why is DJI not fixing this issue!?!?

Accurate. The virtual flight app gives the pilot a good sense of how to control the aircraft, especially when learning manual mode.

Update?. Hi, just wondering if there will be a new update that allows users to connect the Integra goggles to the app? Practicing with just on the phone isn’t the same experience. Would love to use this app to practice flying virtually before flying in the real world. And also to keep skills up when unable to fly. Lots of potential in this app and would love to see it achieved!

Rc Exp (M mode). There is a problem in the last update, I can't modify the Rc Exp (M mode) Custtom options, I hope for a solution as soon as possible .. Thank you

Bad update. First, the training area has been greatly reduced. For example, in the factory world, just going to the far end of the lake triggers a leaving the training area warning. The same holds true for going in just about any direction including up. This greatly reduces the enjoyment of the practice area. I also noticed that the display image was jittery, even when in cruise control. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with this new version.

Fix this immediately. This app has great potential, but it’s unusable. Every single time I attempt to fly using my goggles and controller, the frames drop, and within seconds, I get a disconnect error and my goggles restart. I’m not the only one because the forums are full of this same experience. Yes, I’m using all brand new DJI FPV kit gear, everything is up-to-date as far as firmware goes, and I’ve attempted restarts of everything.

Completely Unusable after Update. When I first bought my DJI FPV drone, this worked well. After some unknown update, the view in the goggles is pixelated beyond belief, even on a top-end iPhone 14 Pro Max. You can’t see to fly. This persists no matter what settings I use. It wasn’t like this over a year ago. Please make this app usable again.

Thank you so much!! I just bought the fpv,. I played on this app all year long and helped with boredom. Please pls pls make more maps and updates please!!!! Thank you so much!

Can’t Learn When Constantly interrupted. There is no way to learn manual mode when the simulation keeps stopping to tell you to power up or roll left. Then when you follow the instructions it jumps back in full speed and you immediately crash out for following the instructions you were forced to follow. Completely unintelligible. Completely useless.
