Question. I love this game and I got all the way to Day 1 Arena 4, when it told me I have to pay for the rest of the game. I thought it was free, but is it true I have to pay 6.99 for the rest?

Frustrating controls. Gameplay/concept seems interesting, but the controls are so bad that i end up too frustrated to enjoy the game. I cannot figure out how to run and jump on the ground, and online it shows that others are having trouble as well.

I love this game!. I already have this game for Nintendo and now I can play it on my phone anytime! The gameplay is awesome and the puzzles are difficult but fun. Plus the humour is great.

The DEFINITION of puzzle-platformer. I downloaded this game a while back, found it too difficult and deleted it, years later (now) I downloaded it again, and purchased the full game, and I have to say. It was the best purchase I’ve ever made on my iPad, If I could give more than five stars, I Absolutely would. This, In my opinion Is one of the best platformer/ puzzle game on the App Store, some puzzles can be a bit tricky, and take me a while But I managed to get to the end of the game. AND BOY, am I glad that I did. The ending Quite literally made me cry. 10/10 Best game on the iPad, would recommend :)

Great game. I found the fun until I encountered the controls now they were good but sometimes tricky to use in tight spots when you need precision making going forward harder but otherwise your game is great I love the style so keep up the hard work!

Terrible controls. I originally gave it two stars but they deleted my first review so now I’ll give them only one. The game is creative and could be fun but the controls are just plain ridiculous. So bad that for the most part it is not even playable. If they could fix the control issue then I’m sure the game would actually be somewhat enjoyable from what little I’ve been actually able to play.

Seriously?. Had a ginger/no soul joke in the first five minutes. Really dated and lame. But seriously, can I get a d-pad??? Whyyyyy would I need a joystick for this kind of game. Then the platform climbing starts and I bailed. This game is so close to being cool. There are so many games that I’ve played with this art style, level design, and general quality, and they all have sharp responsive controls that I didn’t even think twice about using. This is hard to play by comparison. Shouldn’t really be an issue.

Not bad. Cool story. The controls are terrible. If I’m jumping up a level I have to stop, turn, then jump to it then dude takes a long time to finally get up on the level. Is it possible to at least pick shoes I want to wear? Show thing isn’t bad just wanted to bring it up. Because why complain if I don’t want any shoes.

I really like this game, but. I relay love the style and premise of this game, it’s pretty cool and enjoyable to play, I’ve quit this game because of its ,(kinda) unintuitive controls, there fine for the most part, except for the millions of time you have to run jump, it’s very unresponsive most of the time. Other than the run jump. This is a very solid game and I appreciate it.

Really tries.. This would be a nice short little free game. Pity it’s seven bucks. The game is simply not worth it. It is a high difficulty puzzle platforms at heart. But the difficulty comes from floaty controls and heavily scripted events. There is no way to tell if a jump will kill you or not. The game is extraordinarily linear with puzzles really consisting of Getting to the trigger. A good dystopia could help but in the demo there is no depth to it. It’s just a standard sadist show.

Awful controls ruin game. Needs more control options. joystick or buttons anything would be better than the garbage controls that are given. Wast of money the challenge was just fighting the controls to get through what could have been a really good game

Very Fun!. This game is amazing and I would definitely recommend it. The only thing is that it’s not completely free. You get to play the first chapter and that’s when you get hooked. The problem is that i don’t spend money on games so I can only play the first part.

Great game, but can’t play. I’m happy with the game so far, controls, story, etc., and I bought the full version to continue the story. However, I can’t progress past a certain point due to the game continuously crashing. At first it would crash only if I switched apps or got a text message, but now it crashes less than 30 seconds or so into playing. It resets to the title screen and I can’t progress. :( For reference, I’m at the part just after dropping snow on the burning dumpster, and I’m on the elevator up top. Devs, if you can help, it’d be much appreciated!! :)

😅So Far.... I think this game has potential because I like these kinds of games, but the controls are super hard! I don’t know how to jump to a platform like in the beginning in the arena and I keep trying but it’s still hard and I didn’t figure it out! Please make a control menu so we can see how to do it. Other than that the game is good so far... if I even pass arena 1! LOL I guess I’ll give it three stars because I don’t know much about the game yet it’s already hard to play.

Yikes. Maybe it’s good, but I’ll never know because as soon as I opened the app, it froze. No amount of button-pressing, cursing, or tech support could save me from the opening scene now embedded in my mind. Left my phone on for 14 hours until the battery drained and restarted it after it died/recharged. Deleted the app immediately after.

Nice but controls are wack. I love the premise. I was a big fan of their game Forgotten Anne and was excited, however the controls here are really hard to use. I thought it was just me but when I read the other reviews I realized nobody likes them. I hope they fix it in a future update, and as for now, I haven’t paid for the full game, partly because it’s $6.99 but also because it doesn’t say anywhere what’s included in the package (how many levels, how many hours of gameplay, etc.) so it’s a bit of a blind purchase. That’s not something I’m willing to do right now but hopefully if they ever tell me what’s included I may consider it, as long as they fix those controls... urgh

Fantastic!. This game was something I got because I wanted something to do. The story is very interesting as you solve each arena in this dystopian adventure. There is great humor, and the colors and scenery is truly breathtaking, even though you’re seeing it on a screen. I recommend this game to all that enjoy detailed, intriguing, fantasy games that give you something to remember, even long after finishing the game.

Right up my alley!. I am very particular with games that I like, much less love, but this is one of my top favorite games I’ve ever played. There are plenty of great things to say about it, but as someone who has trouble with games that take extremely exact and precise finger work, this game is challenging, but not so hard that I get frustrated and can’t stand to play. I really enjoy how frequent the reloading points are! That way, when I try and try and finally make it through a tough part, only to die a second later, I’m not disheartened that recent success is gone. The story is quirky, dark, and often funny. One other game I love is INMOST, and I actually found this game while searching for the internet for similar games to it. So if you also like INMOST, check out this game, and vice versa! I hope a second edition comes out so I can play more!

Get game until you have to pay for full version.. Had a lot of fun! Controls aren’t as great but enough to get you through the game without being too much of a hindrance.

Controls are terrible. The game itself is pretty fun and well made. But the controls are terrible, it is very awkward to maneuver and jump because of the square like controls. It would be much easier if it was a circle pad or there was a separate button for jump. Other than that decent game but the controls are pretty bad so I don’t play it as often as I would if the controls were better.

Gameplay is fun. But. Like the title said, the gameplay is fun. But I’m rating two stars for two reasons. First. The controls are a little wonky, it would be better if they were in a fixed position on the screen. Two. Nowhere in the description did it mention that this was just a demo. Stop having the crow insult you!!!. I have tried and tried to beat the episodes and every time I die I get a “I hope we don’t devolve into you”or a”open your mind not body”I try my hardest to beat the episodes just to get so close then die and have a crow insult me

Enjoy but can’t play anymore. I was really enjoying this game and the story line. However the controls are so frustrating and very unresponsive. So basically I’m stuck at a certain place and can’t move ahead any further in the game. I wish I hadn’t paid for the full version. So this will be deleted.

Not bad but fix controls. The game has a pretty good premise so far, but I just can keep playing with the garbage controls as it is now. There are so many things that could be done a lot nicer and it just feels like I have to move my finger a mile to move left instead of just an inch like every other mobile game. And then there is a lot of other small stuff, like not being able to walk around a crane even though there is a solid 15ft either side of it that you could walk around, but instead you have to do platforming to get around it. There is just too much little stuff with the platforming that makes me so irritated and I can’t finish it. Try it for yourself but I can’t recommend it simply, SIMPLY because of the controls. A simple slider thing would have worked 60x better and maybe that’s an understatement.

Do not download this game because the controls are complete garbage I am not going to say anything else. I couldn’t make it past the first day because the controls were so sucky. Good Concept, Poor Execution. The concept for the game and the art style were great, but I have never gotten so incredibly frustrated at a game in my entire life, and I played Getting Over It. The controls for the game were so hit or miss that it made me want to strangle myself at times. I died so many times because of being a pixel off at a jump, or because the jump just didn’t read. It would be so much better if it had smoother controls, and more of a hit box for jumping.

What an adventure!. This was a rare gem. Usually I spend my time playing weak sauce mobile MMORPGs or what passes for a MobA these days. I found this a week ago and wow. Best $7 I ever spent on a game. Well done!! I’ll be back for more.

Good game. I really enjoy it overall. The story is interesting and I love the graphics. I have had some minor glitches (mostly just crashing) which I assume is just due to it's being recently released. I also echo the other complaints with the controls. They're just odd. I think it'd be better if they were fixed to a place on the screen. Otherwise a great fun game.

Loved the dark humor and story. I don't generally write reviews, specially one were you die so often it gets infuriating, but this game brought back the joy of gaming back in the 80s. Will follow the developer in the future.

Really Amazing Game! But.... Hi! So I love this game, A LOT. Play it all the time! I’m on an iPad 7th Gen, so this bug/glitch may just be because of that.... 1. The controls?!? What is up with the controls? I like them, but it WOULD be a bit helpful is the move control was fixed to a place on the screen, however, I do like the jump control 2. I play the free version. At the end of Arena 4, it tells me that I can buy the full version, when I try to do that I get an error message. When I exit the error message, it kicks me out of the game. Is this because the full version isn’t finished yet or..... 3. On game where you have to buy the full version, you can buy it from the App Store. For this, you cannot which leaves me to believe the full version isn’t available. Please fix! Thanks!

Good game… however. Controls are 🤬🤬. I quite like the concept of the game. It’s rather broken story that (kind of) makes sense as you progress. The controls however, are a different story. This has got to be one of the worst control mechanics I have ever used. Playing the game is really quite difficult because of the nonsense controls. I bought the full version thinking I would eventually get the hang of it… I did, to an extent. But the controls really hold this game back from being great. To the dev team, please take note as I’m not the only person with this complaint. Overall good game, but the controls are really terrible.

Immersive. This is the best game I’ve played in any platform in a long time. It is super immersive and really makes you think. Thank you so much for making this game!

Decent game, atrocious controls. This game was interesting! Interesting platformer with some occasionally fun puzzles and a cool dystopian setting, but where this game really fails is the controls. Especially towards the end game where precision and speed come into play, and the controls are anything but precise on the iPhone. Doing the same part over and over again isn’t fun when it’s because I can’t get my guy to face the right direction in a reasonable amount of time with out jumping off a ledge. When I finally do get through these sections, there’s no sense of accomplishment, just relief. I want to be challenged by a game, but not what feels like just being punished because my iPhone screen can’t tell that I’m swiping up and not left. If there’s an opportunity to play this on pc or something, try that. Not worth the money if you’re on mobile.

Not good. The concept reminded me of dead cells the controls are tacky and don’t really do what you want the story line seems like it would be good but the graphics are terrible this game has great potential but it seems like it was done lazily and not a whole lot of effort was put into the controls you try to go one way and he moves way to far that or you try to get him to run from a dog and he starts walking and you get caught even though you were pushing the controls as far as you can and the sensitivity barely registers I found myself pushing on the screen 3 times just to get the controls where I wanted on the screen in a place where I can use them to the full extent or to work in any way ( I have an iPhone XR and have not experienced this problem with other games like this ) I think that the game itself is very cool and with those problems remedied I could see myself playing it but right now it would be ridiculous to assume anyone would pay for this never mind the free version the only reason why this game is difficult at all is because of the controls and that’s not fun it just makes people angry

Interesting premise, but the controls are so bad it’s impossible to play. It seems like it would be a fun game. But the controls are impossible. I often times will die because my character doesn’t jump even when I tell them to. The fact that there’s no option to have the joystick control on the right side as opposed to the left is really frustrating. The jump commands don’t register, and often times I can’t walk in one direction without running across the map.

The controls are fine. First off the game is great, love the running and jumping, good story, good level design. Second off I dunno what all these other reviews are talking about with the controls, they’re fine. I encountered no problems with the controls or otherwise. Great game, keep up the good work!

If 1984 was Made in Czechoslovakia. Love the hidden reference to Prince of Persia in some of the wall art, since the gameplay is similar. No stinking ads. Funny , dark writing. Some of the secrets are just too hard to crack even on Easy level (like making up the ladder to the scientists before the cop rams you). But worth it. Definitely download

Enjoyable except for Game Stopping Bug. I was having fun with this game, even with the tricky controls but I can’t finish the game now because of a bug. Shortly into Day 4, I need to make my way down somewhere but there is no way to do it without dying. I checked a walkthrough to see if I was missing something and the walkthrough video showed a platform you can jump on that does not appear for me. I’m not forgetting to push a button or flip a switch because the platform is just there on the walkthrough video when the player enters the room. Unless this bug is fixed and I am able to complete the game, I cannot give a good review. Update: I spoke to the developers and they explained that they deliberately removed this platform as it was not the way they intended users to go. They mentioned another way which I had unsuccessfully tried but I finally was able to do it this other way. So if have updated to 4 stars with the only issues being the tricky controls.

Show stopper bug. Great game, controls could better, unfortunately there is a show stopper bug where you can’t see the water— and falling in the water kills you. You literally can’t finish the game without seeing the water level. Hopefully they will fix this so the water renders properly.

Dystopian platformer let down by poor controls. Playing this on an iPhone 11. While I thought the art style and narrative of the game were well thought out and cohesive, the input system leaves a lot to be desired, particularly in a platformer where inputs need to be precisely timed. I only managed to get past the first arena, but I find the controls make it difficult, if not nigh impossible to chain together running jumps in a consistent manner. The only way I was able to make it past the 3-4 consecutive running jumps needed to pass the first arena was by pairing a DualShock 4 controller via Bluetooth. Even then, I was still required to use the screen to control movement speed, since the fastest you can go with a controller is a walk (that is, you cannot run with a controller). Until the input system is fixed, this is unfortunately a game that looks good but plays poorly.

Horrible controls. This game is super frustrating due to the lack of precision in the controls although as a platform they require your movements to be precise. The idea behind is great but until the controls are fine tuned for iOS or they allow controller support ... STAY AWAY

Great dystopic game -- not for the "easily triggered"!. Genuinely enjoyed this platformer! Bit frustrating at times, but otherwise after a dozen or so tries in various places the solutions to puzzles emerged. Lots of shades to the original Prince of Persia, but a lot of its own intrigue and mechanics as well. The only issue I took was that on an iPhone 12, the controls could have been a bit more responsive, and the jump mechanic was especially particular on Day 5 during the climb the mountain sequence. At times it felt that I had to jump after I had already run off the level. Otherwise, I think Hitcent knows what they are doing, and Ill be picking up Forgotten Anne here, shortly! Look forward to more puzzle platformers form you guys!

Amazing 👍. Ministry of Broadcast is one of the best mobile games I have ever played. Excellent character development and an intriguing story combined with complex levels that test your problem solving skills make this game perfect. Even if the controls are a bit lacking, it is more than made up for by the game’s brilliance. Absolutely Spectacular!!! 😀😀😀

Controls are too difficult. Really wanted to like this because the story line seemed promising, but I can’t even get to the arena because the running and jumping feature is too finicky. Also annoying that the controls can only be accessed on the left side as someone who is right handed and better handles controls on the right.

Southpaw. Pretty good game, love the art and controls are decent although maybe there should be an option for switching the action and movement position bottom. Love the game. 10/10

Best Platformer Yet. This is personally one of the best platformers i have ever played. It is a perfect mix of puzzle, skill, and impulse. The graphics are perfect for the story and I hope to see more games like it. Some minor improvements will be to make the game longer and possibly reduce the price of the full game. Fun. Very fun but has a few annoying places to fall and some very hard spots.

Crashes. Can’t open game... it crashes as soon as the loading screen appears. Looks pretty good otherwise though, just annoyed that a bug stopped me from playing.

So close!. It’s so, so good. The art, the sound design (I love that click when you use the action button), the humour and references. Please, jumping a small gap should not be this difficult.

Fun but needs patching. The game has a fantastic art style with interesting and funny cutscenes to keep the player interested and when the gameplay works it’s an incredibly enjoyable game to play. However, the jump mechanic appears to be the most difficult part of the game with the introduction of a jump button (instead of a swiping) currently needed the most.

Janky Controls - Borderline Unplayable. The concept and story of the game seems compelling, but the inability to reliably execute some of the key movements makes this game not worth the headache. A more clear jump button/movement system needs to be put in place. Dying 50 times in the first few levels shouldn’t happen

Great but frustrating controls. So far, I've found the art style and the gameplay to be really impressive, to say the least! However, my experience gets constantly ruined by the fact that the controls are incredibly frustrating to use on a phone screen. But besides that, everything else is amazing. Keep up the good work!

Technical problems. I was looking forward to trying this game. Unfortunately quite early into the game there appears to be a bug. If I swipe right the character walks to the right (as intended) but if I swipe left the character repeatedly jumps up and down and doesn’t move at all. Very frustrating! I’m pretty sure I’m not missing something in the gameplay here. I will come back to it another time, and if issues have been resolved I will review my rating.

Super Pixel Game. Like one of the previous comment, this is a super pixel game, but the control could be made a little bit easier. When you are doing parkour and you need to run and then break so you don’t fell of the cliff, there could be some sped level improvement. For example, instead of two level of speed (walking and running), there could be four or three level of speed, (walking, fast walking, jogging and running). Maybe if you do a second game, you could put a stamina bar, there is this horror game call the coma, where there is a stamina bar, but it is to put a running time restriction to the player so he isn’t just running around when he is being chase by the zombie.

Controls don’t work. Unintuitive.. Game looks fun. It’s a shame I can’t for the life of me figure out how to jump... I tried everything. The controls need to be more intuitive, and responsive.

Great game, tough controls. This game is definitely great; really creative and it’s easy to get immersed in the story. I also like how fast the respawn is (since you die often lol) and where it places you every time you restart. However, the controls are quite difficult to master. I struggle to run and jump every time even though I know when/“how” do to it. It’s just quite tough to maneuver. Also, I don’t really like the placement of the controller, maybe if it were off to the side and not covering so much of the screen it might be more comfortable. The graphics and the story are great. I love the little details like the no skipping police and how the items in the foreground obstruct your view. Overall, very fun. I wish I could purchase the rest of the game. I might be inclined if it were a bit cheaper but right now, I can’t do it!

Have not played but...... The game looks cool but there’s one thing that made me delete it as soon as I saw it. That I need to pay “10” dollars for the full game. I understand this is how you make money but there should be a full free game option. I would rather watch ads than personally pay 10 dollars.

Worth it!. Skip a Starbucks, buy this game. Couldn’t put it down until I saw it through. Don’t know if I’ll go through it to see everything but it was a very fun ride.. worth the 10$ for sure

Very cool game. This game is epic, the puzzles, realism, and the part where you die you get roasted. Also does the civilian get his boots back?

Everything’s Too Small. How. An anyone read the dialogue or see what’s going on? There seems to be plenty of room to make the whole thing bigger.

I love it!. I love the game from what I’ve played so far! (It can be hard sometimes and make me wanna rip my hair out) but beside that it’s a great game! (R.I.P joe)

Awful controls. I’d probably really enjoy the game if the controls were responsive. The platforming should be the challenge, not getting carpal tunnel trying to get this guy to jump over things properly.

Can’t play!. Downloaded it because it sounded interesting. Tried to play... wouldn’t load, crashed. This happened several times. Deleted and redownloaded only to have the same thing happen again. Not sure if there is a glitch from an update or what. Disappointed.

Frustrating. Wasn’t long after purchasing that you hit the impossible radiation room with stuff falling from the ceiling. So annoying and ending any fun I had. Waste of money

Too many cut scenes. Even “skipping “ cut scenes way too slow. Avoid this one.

I don’t know how to run and jump. They don’t teach you how to run and jump. I’n most games it’s not a problem but in this game I can’t seem to run and jump. I run off or I stop and then jump

Deleted after 2 min. Don’t bother. It’s one of the worst “games “. Can’t even call it a game. It’s a mess of nothing but tapping and reading poorly-written text w bad graphics. Save time and don’t even bother w it. Unless you have time to kill and want to be bored to death.

Does not work. The app does not even open it just crashes when I try opening the game

Controls are garbage. Fix. The. Controls. How are you gonna charge people this much and have it still unpolished? Idk how many times I’ve fallen to my death simply because the character wouldn’t jump when I needed him to.

Unplayable controls. Fun concept. Controls render it unplayable. Running jumps are SO hard to execute with the junk interface that I quit in stage 2.

Be cool if you.... ...made the settings buttons larger, kinda hard to change them. Accidentally switched the text speed to slowest...it’s painful.

Fun and interesting game. I enjoyed this game and hope there will be a sequel. The controls can be sticky at times.

Story is good, controls not so much. The story is really nice, but the controls were just so annoying it kind of ruined it

I won’t even let me play. This game is probably a fun game to play but it won’t let me even play it and yes my phone is above v.13 but no matter what it just kicks me off

THE CONTROLS ARE SO BAD. Cool game, interesting story, not too bad, BUT THE CONTROLS OH MY GOSH!!! The controls are so bad that every time I need to jump it won’t jump and every time i need to walk slow, it runs fast, and it’s so frustrating and because of this, it ruins the whole game. Please don’t spend your money on this game.

Such a shame. An otherwise amazing game with great potential ruined by awful jumping controls. Seems like such an easy fix.

Great Concept, Awful Controls. This game has a great premise but it is ridiculously hard to control the character. I don’t think this game will get anywhere until the controls are redesigned.

Horrid controls. Cool game.. Worst controls out of any game I have played. Horribly unintuitive. A dpad or joystick would be so much better. Shame cuz I was enjoying the game...but I refuse to claw my eyes out over the controls.
