Hunt Resident App Comments & Reviews 2026
MX and Bills. There’s a bit more potential for the app, but right now it does maintenance requests and billing, and it does those reasonably well! And if something is urgent, it has the contact info handy. Pretty simple, does the job, but there’s an Events tab that is wasted potential as no one loads anything into it (like the trash schedule or water line mx would be nice!)
Easy to put maintenance requests in. The app makes it easy to put in work orders and to quickly call the office without having to search for their number. I wish there was a way to email them from multiple email accounts.
So convenient. It’s great to be able to submit maintenance requests when I think of them rather than try to remember to call the next day. Also love that we can submit photos. Response time is excellent and service is wonderful!
532 Cedar Street Review. The application works great. However, an application doesn’t do any good if their is no response to the requests. 36 hours and counting after multiple work orders and no response to even let me know if the requests were received and scheduled. A 30 second phone call would go a long way for residence so that they at least know there requests are received and being scheduled for repair.
Initial app use. A tutorial might have been helpful or an email directing me HOW to verify your deposit would have been appreciated. I spent over a day trying to figure out how to verify my account to make my payment in a timely manner. Grateful I could authorize payment thru our bank account because insisting we pay through the app then charging $4.95 if I used my bank card is ridiculous! Initially not impressed.
Portal Access/Ease of Maintenance Request. The HMC Portal is quick and easy to use to submit all of my maintenance requests. I am able to put in my own notes to articulate the issues/concerns and the team is always quick and responsive with scheduling follow-up and remedying the requests.
App needs to have Urgent or Emergency pull down options and other features. Like the title states, App needs to have Urgent or Emergency pull down options especially when it comes to plumbing emergencies. Also, give the app user the ability to confirm wether a request has been completed. Currently all requests entered cannot be confirmed by the user and so requests sent and closed give the impression that the requests have been fulfilled when they really have not.
Maintenance Requests. The app is generally fine to work with. My only issue is placing a work order. It only gives three categories with 2-3 subcategories and most of the time they are not related to the maintenance request. This could be better if more options were available based on prior data or have a fill in the blank to describe the maintenance issue. Just two ideas that can streamline the app
Really good app, could use some improvements.. The app is definitely the best I’ve used for submitting maintenance, but 5 stars would be if it’s perfect, so 4.5 if I could do that. Sometimes it’s difficult to find the exact item to submit a ticket for, if there was an “other” where I could type in the item. Other than that it’s good.
Simple yet effective. The app is easy to use and speeds up submitting Mx request while maintaining a record. Request additional Mx request categories and sub categories or an ‘other’ button to avoid situations of a request not falling under a specific category
Let me do the thing I want to do. And that thing is request maintenance. Nobody is looking at the community events tab, or the announcements tab. The search bar in maintenance should actually work so I don’t have to hunt for wherever you classified “garage door.” If I can’t select any priority other than “routine” through the app then why do I have to select routine every time anyways? And why can’t I batch maintenance requests instead of go back through the whole menu - of course, AFTER I select NO THANKS, I DON’T WANT TO REVIEW YOUR STUPID APP
Some user experience issues but functional app. Helpful for submitting maintenance requests. It needs a way to cancel a submitted work order in the event the work order was fixed before maintenance arrived. Also, the password setup needs to be compatible with Apple’s keychain. Secure Cafe isn’t picked up by the app.
Helpful. This app allows for a quick and easy maintenance requests process. The app helps narrow down what area of the home needs work and it also allows for pictures and extra details which is helpful when the basic selections don’t cover the problem.
Efficient. The app works well for its intended purpose. I place all my work order requests through the app and the maintenance staff receive and processes them in a timely manner. The only suggestion I could give to improve the app is to have the category and subcategory options have a drop down menu to show all available option without having to “guess” what options are available by typing.
Better than nothing for work orders. The good: I can submit routine work orders and see when they’re open or closed. The frustrating: It took weeks to get access due to moving from another Hunt home. We had certificate issues (now resolved) which raised a security concern for me when they wanted me to pay through the app. There’s no way to request a work order be reopened when work is incomplete. There’s no real detail on the work order beside what you originally input and when they close it. Nothing to say work accomplished, when they came (or attempted to come), or when they plan to come back if the job is incomplete.
Such a scam. This app and HMC is such a scam. They prey on military members. Offer them garbage houses at high prices, then make it so they can only pay rent online (for a fee). They make you sign a lease before you see the property. Most of the properties are unlivable (water damaged, holes in the roof, dirty air filters, corroded/rusty water heaters). New construction houses are nice, but take all your BAH. They tell you there is no availability for new construction but most of the houses are vacant or have lockboxes on them. They also rent to whoever, I live in a “military community” next to a house full of non-service college kids and a mortician and his wife. Hunt only looks out for themselves, they are not here to support the troops or their families.
Review of Hunt Housing App. It’s very vague, it doesn’t show the amount of rent due. It only shows a random amount that I assume is the utilities that I saw I owed through the mail and from the site by my computer. It doesn’t show on the app. The app is very low grade, it isn’t helpful at all; it’s pointless. The website is a lot better by kilometers! There is no point for the app, as it doesn’t aid or help with giving us knowledge on what we owe or anything of that nature. 0.001 out of 5 stars not even a 1 out of 5 stars for this app.
Does not allow bank info. Currently I am stuck using my Debit card to pay my rent which charges a 9.99 dollar service fee. When I attempt to add a bank account it tells me that it failed to connect to my bank and allow pop ups. I have done this and the error continues. I attempted to use the online portal to fix this but that puts me in a login loop. When I attempt to login it does not recognize my account. When I try to register one with the same information it tells me I already have one, hence login loop. I don’t know who is working your web or application services, but this needs some serious work.
Near useless app. This app is very frustrating. It rejected our card information over and over for an incorrect address even though the info was correct. Couldn’t pay with a card. Had to add a bank account which took days to be available. Then when it was it said we needed to verify the account with no direction on how to do that. Finally found where to verify and made the payment. Only needed the app to make this one payment as there was no option at the business to make a payment in person. We ended up spending several hours to make the payment so I cannot see what value it has.
The worst app I have ever had to deal with. This app could be the product of only autism and incompetence. For only those who are mentally deficient can find this app helpful in any sense of the word. You try to make a payment it will not let you. You try and use the help symbol and you are transferred to someone with a lobotomy which in all fairness is on par for using this app. I can only hope the total ineptitude that came from the producers of this app are sterile and jobless now as to not to propagate any offspring into this world or further create any software to infect the population at large. While I have some reservations about the general populous I do not wish to inflict the brain cancer that is this app upon anyone.
Why is rent due only shown on or after the 1st & No payment history. I don’t like that if I want to pay before the 1st of the month, it won’t display what I owe and then I have to search to see how much I need to pay. Very inconvenient. If I put it off until the first I usually forget until it’s late. Seems like a good way to ensure that you have to pay late fees. Also why is there no payment history?? This should be provided or at least a link to a place you can log into to see that info.
Issues. Services Fees just add unnecessary costs when I could and prefer to pay in person to the property manager. It feels like I’m paying to keep someone else’s business going just to meet the requirements of my property manager. Also, the app gives you an option to remember you/your login but even after selecting the option it doesn’t and you have to fill in your information each time to login. This app is definitely lacking.
Convenient. Quick, easy and convenient way to submit maintenance requests. Allows user to upload photos of the issue as well. Prefer this to making calls to the office.
Clunky and marginal. This app is terrifically frustrating in its attempts at a user friendly interface. 1. The app doesn’t “remember” you even if you select “remember me”. Super annoying to have to log in every dang time. 2. You can’t submit an emergency work request 3. The app will time out on you without warning, causing the loss of all of your progress.
Nice but needs improvement. It’s convenient and so far no problems. But it would be great if it showed previous amounts added and taken. I’m sure they take out for the lights as well but if I pay over (the amount for rent) I would want to make sure the remaining money is going to the lights and when it was taken. It’s a better way to budget the money and when it’s coming out. It’s a lot of room for errors when you can’t see the history of money on the screen. Hopefully my review will change that… fingers crossed
Limited capability. This app has limited capability on what you can and can’t do. Specifically, the maintenance tab will only allow you to enter certain items. If you have a maintenance request, that’s not listed you have to select an incorrect maintenance category, and explain in the comments what the actual problem is. Recommend making the maintenance category/subcategory boxes fill-in or add more items/make them generic in the drop-down boxes.
Maintenance left a mess but they are ridiculously busy.. I am doing my part and staying on top of maintenance I need done to MY house. Top notch staff! Literally, I get irritated everyday I think about the amount of rent and electricity I pay, but then the maintenance guy shows up on time, even on Thanksgiving. I’m sure they are getting tired of all my messsges.
Fast and easy to use for the most part. Love how easy it is to put in a request. Just fill in the categories and add a picture. No need to call and wait on hold forever. They give you a quick call back to schedule an appointment and are very good about calling back if you miss the first one.
Could be better.. The app is good it just lacks more detail and information. For example when I have an upcoming bill I would like to see the date it was processed and why there is an increase, also when I put in maintenance request I would like to get in and check in the status of the request.
Application Navigation is bad. When accessing maintenance tab on dashboard, it doesn’t allow you to submit a ticket. You have to click on the pancake button on the top left and click maintenance in order to submit a ticket. Additionally, the subcategories are very limiting. For instance, there isn’t a subcategory for refrigerators, so I have to click dishwasher just to submit a ticket for my refrigerator. Very confusing for users. Seems like an easy fix so I don’t understand why it hasn’t been done so already.
Very Glitchy. Very glitchy, if the system times you out when your attempting to make a payment, when you log back in that payment area is no longer available. I was trying to pay rent, but the Apple Pay wouldn’t add my debit card. Went back in the app and I didn’t see an option to pay rent. Had to wait hours for an email saying the payment didn’t go through, even though I never attempted to process the payment. Only good thing is you can use a CC and gain rewards paying rent.
Lack of options. When you try to submit a work order it requires you to pick a subcategory and the list is very short and when you try to search for something as simple as a sink, bathroom, bathtub or anything to do with a bathroom nothing comes up. So you end up just choosing something random so the work order can finally be submitted. Also it will say error when you try to submit the request and when you back out to resubmit another one it will show you’ve submitted multiple work orders for the same reason. I would rather call to place a work order than use the app.
Used to be better.. When i first started using it, there were no issues, but as of last month, i have not been able to pay my rent using the app (which was an earlier feature). The only type of maintenance requests that you able to submit through it are the lowest category of priority, which is slightly inconvenient, but not hugely impactful upon its usefulness.
Maintenance app. Giving it a 4 only because it is hard to address every category or sub category- so when you select other you should be able to write a description of what it is you need addressed that didn’t fit in any other listed categories.
Poor design. Can't actually set up auto pay. Now that we've changed rental companies I can't pay rent on the first. I have to manually pay a set amount then check again to see what I actually owe when they calculate electricity into the rent bill. But if I don't pay on the first I'm charged a late fee. Why not set up and auto pay with a threshold where if it's bellow a certain dollar amount it pays it automatically. Instead I could auto pay $1600 each month. But if rent and electric is only $1500 that month then my rental company just holds $100 in my account.
What a joke.. Honestly not even worth the time to write this, because I doubt it will ever be seen or acted on. This app is not user friendly concerning the customer. It doesn’t allow for effective communication. Its primary function (frustratingly) is to further remove responsible parties (leasing companies) from their customers (tenants). At no point does the end customer know action has been taken. Furthermore, there is no way to contest inaccurate or out right untrue information. Don’t waste your time or money.
Very Functional. I am grateful for this app because it helps to streamline the maintenance request process without having to hold on the phone and explain my issues. Right from my phone I can upload pictures and offer a narrative so that I can go about my day much faster.
User friendly. The app has been easy to use for inputting maintenance requests and is pretty user friendly! The only downside is that when submitting a request, not all options show up. You have to type out what you assume the category is sometimes, and if you’re wrong it can take a minute to find. Overall not bad though!
Request an Unknown category option. Sometimes it is hard to find the right option. For example, kitchen cabinets are under the structural category, and took me a while to figure that out. Would be nice to have an “I’m not sure” category so we can still put in work order and allow a maintenance person file it to the right category.
Quick and reliable. Using the app has led to quick and reliable service. No issues with the service not being completed in a timely fashion. Always courteous service techs.
Needs lots of work. This app needs some work. When submitting maintenance requests I have no option of submitting something other than what is hard coded. It really needs to have an “other” subcategory for every category. Additionally, when selecting a priority or category, if you accidentally move your finger the slightest bit down when clicking the small button to dismiss the pop up, the entire request is cancelled and all your typing is gone. It is not linked with other Hunt systems so I can see all requests, even those submitted in the office. As military, my balance always reflects my current rate so i never know if Hunt truly got paid. (Spoiler alert…those type of things happens in our pay system). The office staff dont take advantage of the announcements and instead use Facebook. What’s the point of it in the app…plus I don’t use FB so never know what is going on. Same goes with events. Overall this just seems like a way to submit maintenance issues and could easily be replaced with a website.
Comments section of maintenance request. Every time I put in a maintenance request. I ask for a phone call before the maintenance person comes. I put it in the comments block. I do this because we never know when they will come and we have pets. I would like to have them put away before the maintenance team comes. I have been told by the office staff that the maintenance person does not even see the comments block. So what is the point of having a comments block.
Easy once registered. The app is easy to use. Ability to add pictures for work orders is nice. Registration was a bit tricky, because I didn’t know which community to pick. But it was easy enough after calling the office to figure out which community I was in.
HMC App Login & Issue. Dislike the log in process as it doesn’t remember user. User MUST enter email and password every time, even after selecting “Remeber Me”. The only other issue, along w phone trouble call, member gives permission to enter house to correct issue but maintenance does not enter and correct issue, just leaves a note on door stating they stopped by. I am unable to answer cell phone due to location of work (unable to have cell on hand) and working hours and it’s difficult to get issues corrected. Other than that completely fine.
Ease and convenience. The app that is used for the Hunt community has made reporting any kind of problem so easy. The convenience of being able to do it anywhere and not have to wait on the phone is tremendous.
Love the app. I use the app mainly for maintenance requests or when I need the number to call residential services. It’s amazing for that. I only rated 4 stars because after paying a cleaning fee that was charged through the app, it didn’t show any receipt or notice of the fee or my payment.
Same problem as others. Hunt Resident App will not let me add my payment account (Bank). It runs until an error notification shows. Sometimes it times out and then at times it says that it’s the network. Later, I attempted to review my information, and then it went on into a frenzy. Please do an update to fix the bugs. I read through some of the reviews and noticed this is a common occurrence. Also, with persons having to just add a debit card that has surcharges. The previous app that I used to used prior to the transition from AMC to HMC worked great! Which is weird because it’s from the same developer. I pay close attention to security issues, because scammers are all around. This application does not give me a good feeling.
Separate Rent from Utility. App is easy to use. But there are a couple of complaints that needs to be addressed. First is that the rent and utilities are together in one bill. they should be separate so I can pay one or the other and not have to calculate what I need to pay per month. Which brings me to my next point, for active military the rent amount should not even be in the “amount due”. It comes out automatically so why even bother having it there. So for active military it should just be the utilities being displayed.
Easy to use. Easy to understand. Great app. Appreciate the ease of use! After working all day, I don’t have time to stay on the phone waiting for an answer and a work request number. This is easy to track especially if it’s not an emergency I can submit it and not worry and the time is in issue I can go back and reference the day I submitted.
Needs some work. The basics are good on the app but to make miscellaneous payments is not user friendly like getting an extra home or mail box key or key for the fitness center. Those are couple things I have needed but I am sure there are other needs people have had. Thank you

The app is clunky. Navigation is not intuitive. Maintenance history does not seem like an obvious place to start a maintenance request, the drop down menus are not intuitive when categorizing a request. Thank you for your efforts to improve communication.
Functionality. Easy to navigate
Convenient. This App is very convenient and offers simple instructions yet ample space for your detailed information.
Applepay option doesn’t recognize Apple Pay.. The Apple Pay option within this app specifically tries to set up new cards. Upon entering a card already in my Apple Pay wallet I get an error. Apple pay should be a convenient and easy way to pay on iOS, but the communication with Apple Pay wallet is non-existent within your “Apple Pay” option.
Keesler Hunt communities. Keesler maintenance team always responds quickly!! They’re always so kind! We really have enjoyed our stay and the maintenance response is amazing!
Autopay does not work for me. The app is great except auto pay will not work for me no matter if I set it up with a card or bank account. It just says I need to set a start date every time even when a start date is already selected.
So convenient!!. It’s so nice to have an app to place my service calls easily and quickly at any time of day! This app is so easy to use!!
Glad I found this app!. Very easy to upload maintenance request. You can check the progress of each request submitted, and view all the ones completed.
Great app. Great for new tenants, definitely helps me fill Eddie’s knowing that I can request maintenance with a push of a button and also pay my rent.
Easy to Use app. The application itself is wonderful to use. Makes life a little easier for the user/tenant.
Great app overall.. Helps that I can put in tickets without having to make a call.
Error Message, Needs Work. Does not allow to se the autopay. Error messenger appears every time. Also does not allow to set two separate autopsy’s for those who wish to put bi weekly. This isn’t an option to see history of payments made.
Very faulty. Tried to make a payment and ended up pulling our money out, said it went through and was confirmed, and then 2 weeks later gave it back saying we didn’t have enough money and made us pay an extra 50 bucks for a nsf fee. Had to go down to a cvs and pay it because we didn’t trust the app or website to do what it was supposed to do.
Not sure what’s worse; the app or the service. No ability to enter any urgent work order which is necessary to document issues since calling in doesn’t always result in a work order being entered. The options on the drop down need to be reviewed since there isn’t always an option that makes sense to select.
If no subcategory available, cannot place work request. If doesn’t fit tight, limited choices of subcategory, you cannot submit a work request at all. For example, a leaky pipe (plumbing) or non working ice maker or fridge (appliance), no options to request or submit maintenance. Suggestion, adding “other” as an option, we could submit work requests without calling or emailing someone’s direct inbox.
Categories and subcategories don’t apply often. Having to choose subcategories when that topical area does not exist wastes time and makes it difficult to categorize! Allow option to type in the issue and make the app categorize not the user having to find the correct area.
Has potential. The app is poorly designed and doesn’t not accurately allow you to process work orders on their respective levels of importance. There is no option to view past payments made on your rental account. Lastly, the balance for your rent does not update when the pay rent push notifications are sent out to your phone and/or email. It is very confusing.
Slight hiccups. Not many options to choose from when making a maintenance request. I end up selecting something random, then adding the correct description in the notes.
Easy to use. Intuitive interface, convenient to open maintenance requests and pay bills. No issues with it, yet.
Efficient and easy!. Great way to submit requests. I found the categories a bit confining, but overall it’s very helpful to have the app option.
Very easy to use. The app is easy to navigate. I use it to report issues w/ pictures, see payments and view any important announcement
First Time to Use. This was the first time I’ve used the app. It was easy to use. It would be great if I could add more than one photo by selecting them at one time to submit them. The only priority available is 03-Routine. My roof is falling apart so I don’t feel like that’s a routine issue. Other than that it’s pretty okay-ish.
Great job!. Haven’t had an issue with the app. Makes it nice to actually be able to put routine work orders in after hours.
Outstanding. This application is user friendly, very helpful to check maintenance requests & monthly payments. Great stuff keep it up
Easy. Easy way to submit work orders without having to call.
Half okay, half nuisance. The service fee for every charge, even if under $10 is ridiculous. And it would be a great commodity if the app would allow you to make any sort of split payments.
Easy to use, convenient. I like this app to pay rent and submit maintenance requests, but I wish I was able to see a history of previous payments.
Better way to pay.. The 95 cent service charge is much nice to my wallet than the other app. I think it charged my 30 bucks to pay online.
Easy to use. User friendly & intuitive. Set up accounts and made payments in seconds.
Convenient. Smooth, quick, easy and user friendly
Easy access and convenient. Convenient and Easy to request basic or routine maintenance, access maintenance history
Review. Fast response. Usually calls back next day & addresses each issue quickly
Simple to use and track history. Simple to use and track history
Awesome support!. This application is so easy to use. I was initially intimidated, thinking it would not be user friendly but it was the complete opposite! It definitely helps communication between the landlord and tenant.
Update to app working well. The recent update to the HMC app has made paying bills and knowing what you’re paying for much easier.
Hunt Properties app. The app has been great to use so far—a one stop shop for rent payments and maintenance requests. I especially like being able to attach photos for the maintenance requests
Requesting Maintenance. The app makes it really easy to request maintenance, especially after hours. Quick and easy way to make a request.
Easy to use. The app is quick and easy to use. Service is provided in a timely manner.
Works ok but needs improvement.. When selecting items for work orders there aren’t enough items to choose from. It’s frustrating trying to find the correct option to select.
Great App for Maintenance Requests. Very simple to use and love how it tracks the history of all maintenance requests. One thing that would improve it would be to see/track comments from the maintenance staff.
Maintenance Request. It makes it easier to submit any type of request for maintenance in your home.
Simple, room for improvement. Only downfalls I have encountered so far are the app does not provide a balance due and my primary bank account cannot be found.
Very convenient. Love how easy it is to access everything! Would love to see the events updated. Also a way to cancel Maintenance requests
Much easier. Way better than calling once you get on the site.
App review. The app is very easy to use and user-friendly. It also has improved the scheduling and completion of maintenance requests to be a third of what it used to be. Bravo
Housing Portal. It’s very convenient to use the portal for payment. Unfortunately the portal does not display an amount due until the second. It’s late on the third. It would be nice if the app showed the amount due as soon as the fifteenth.
HN. Quick and efficient. Makes life easier, especially with all these automated systems with nobody on the other end.
Great app. Easy to use and interface. Makes submitting a request easy and the timeliness of responses is also outstanding.
Easy to use. Very easy to use. Only wish it was an instant transfer and didn’t have to wait a few days.
