SmartHQ Comments & Reviews 2026

Pro connectivity tip. If yall have issues in the app where your product goes offline and online. It’s a issue with the device syncing with there online cloud. I was having issues with my washer. But my dryer and stove I have zero issues with. After connecting and re adding the washer many times and still having issues. I researched how to hard reset the control board. To do this [GE] says to unplug it for 2 mins. But really you should give it 30 mins so all the power drains out of tue board. After 30 mins plug back in. Make sure the device is removed from the app. Put the device in paring mode & re pair it. This time I finely got a finishing up and successful pair. I feel like this is a lot of fault on GE cloud server it don’t being the device online even when you get a sold WiFi light on your device. I hope this helps some of yall. As for GE I love yall products but DO BETTER please please fix your cloud. No one wants to always be re connecting there stuff WiFi makes convenience fix your servers and cloud and keep it working like it should. Thank you.

Great Double Oven. We’ve had this oven for nearly two years now. I knew I’d love it but I didn’t realize how much. The new feature I wanted most in this was the ability to turn it on before I got home from work so it was preheated and ready to go when I got home. I use this feature OFTEN and I LOVE the convenience. The probe is another feature I had to have as we had it and loved it on the previous oven. Our other oven had it only in one and I like having it in both the upper and lower ovens. Finally, this oven has an amazing self-cleaning feature. I turn it on and just wipe it down when done. There is absolutely no scrubbing. The only thing I really do not like is the way the racks slide in and out. The bottom shelf is great; the others do not slide easily.

Bad sign: Unable to create user name/password. I know the first user name and password I submitted was accepted and filed, because when I tried to enter them again, I was prompted they were “Already in use.” Nevertheless, I was never able to use them to sign into the app. I tried two more UN/PWs, same result, unable to use them. That I was not able to complete step one was a bad omen for things to come. The next step was contacting “customer support.” I was directed to a website or or a phone number. Since this was now looking like starting a career instead of completing a simple process, I decided I did not need this thing at all. I’ve been through this kind of ordeal before. The bigger the company, the worse the app user experience tends to be. I’m also reading here about all the problems maintaining a wifi connection. Probably not worth the trouble. It looks a bit like spyware anyway. I tried to create this for the new GE Profile washer/dryer combo. I’m very pleased with the machine, but they need to get their act together with this app.

Decent app. Would be better if app gave useful info such as actual refrigerator and freezer temp and send alerts if the refrigerator temp goes above 40° for more than half an hour, or something like that. The app only shows the temperature settings, but not what the refrigerator is actually achieving. Recently, we had both switches on the double doors go bad, and we received no alerts on the app or from the refrigerator itself. We had milk going sour before expiration dates a couple of times and raw meat go bad. I started checking the internal temperature according to the door and also bought digital wireless thermometers with alarms. 2 ge tech visits later and a month of waiting for those appointments and we finally had the refrigerator fixed. The tech for our area is great and educated us on locating food items so we weren’t obstructing airflow in the refrigerator that could prevent achieving proper temps. Anyway, I could’ve gotten the repair done sooner and saved a lot of worry about food spoiling had the app alerted me and also had actual temps and other info (such as fan failing etc).

Can we please call this app DumbHQ?. What a lousy app! I had a terrible time to connect to the washer. Well.. the next update notes say that they fixed this issue. After I connected, it kept asking for the washer’s model number again and again and again, annoying the heck out of me. Called their support line but no luck there, though the support staff was kind and patient dealing with me. Finally after connecting the washer, I found out this is just a DumbHQ. We can only get notifications from the washer (if you are lucky!) through this app. You can’t control the washer from the app except to turn it off or set delay time. However, you can set delay start time on the app only in one hour increments. Really? Why is the appliance’s electronics or the app capable of doing custom delay time in whatever minutes you choose. The app’s notification feature that tells you about cycle status is neat, if you are lucky and get notifications. It is hit or miss. An important concern is this. Every time you wash all your information is stored on their server - essentially giving them information like - when you washed, what you washed, what settings you used, how much clothes you washed, what features you use often, etc. THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL THEM NOT TO USE YOUR INFO FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN FOR YOU TO OPERATE THE WASHER AND PROVIDE SUPPORT. If you are thinking this GE Washer is made by the nostalgic American industrial power house - think again. It was sold to a Chinese company that still uses the GE name, and I am unsure if the App is even owned by that same company. Bottom line, the app should have the ability to do all the things we can do at the washer but doesn’t. Plus, there should be an option to request the information stored on the app to remain just on the app, or to remain private if it is stored on their server.

Good app. The classic story is that you leave the house and are worried that you might have left the stove on. Now you can pull up this app and see if it actually is on without turning around and going home! You can also turn off anything directly from the app, plus it gives you insights on how to make the most of your oven. I also really like that I can preheat my oven using just my voice from anywhere in the house! I also love that they can add new features to the oven over the internet! They’ve pushed out new features and settings twice already in the year that we’ve owned it! The downsides are that you can’t control everything with voice assistants. For example, I can ask Google to turn on the oven, but it can’t turn off the oven. ?? There’s also no HomeKit support.

Definitely does the job. App was pretty easy to understand. Will admit, the connectivity to my AC was a little annoying at first and I learned I need to re-add the AC after power outage which is also kind of annoying. However, those are small inconveniences for the ability to adjust via phone. Some UI feedback: It would be cool if you could set a single appliance as the “Main device” so when opening the app it defaults to opening that devices information. The little bar that looks like it relates to syncing device info is distracting and not useful, honestly would be better to see “last sync at date/time”. The navigation panel on the left hand side for general app stuff feels antiquated and has WAY too many things in it (glad I never click it). Feature feedback: The estimated energy use is awesome. Would be cool if you could do some. “ What if we adjusted our thermostat up by x degrees” estimations. Algorithmically you could maybe get away with an “Adaptive Energy Saver” mode. Run the AC as you like for a week. Calculate the time spent compressor off versus on and times of day this happened. Allow the device to slowly adjust itself during peak heat hours to run more efficiently, but to adjust again during the cooler hours or at night. And recalculate itself. A lot of folks like myself go “set to as cold as possible cause it’s hot as heck out”. But probably could save some energy with smart adjustments like that and prolong filter and appliance life. All in all, apps cool. Needs some cleaning up and maybe some additional features to bring it into the correct era of smart tech. But promising.

Wow. We had the choice of other softeners, and having the ability to access information via WiFi seemed like a good idea, with smart home integration. It says how many days of salt are remaining and so forth, and said it would detect leaks. Well that sounds all good and well, and sounded like somewhat of a gimmick. Much to my surprise as doing things around the house, an alert was sent to my phone showing that a medium flow rate was detected and to check appliances and water connections. Turned out to be a toilet in our newly built house that wasn’t completely sealed when refilling. That alone makes us super happy to have Purchased such a great appliance. Additionally we’ve never had a softener and it sure is nice to not have to use as much shampoo or clean glass, etc near as vigorously. 6 days owned, already satisfied.

Pros and cons. Originally we had a GE profile set. Absolutely loved how they talked to each other. The washer started to make noises so we decided to just get a new set. We stepped down from the profile series to a mid range set. Cons:This set does not talk to one another and the washer is so tall, this 5’5” gal has to stand on her tip toes to reach clothes on the bottom. Also my old washer was much quieter. I know, the old set was a profile series but the old set is about 15 years old. Pros: This set does have a dispenser bin that holds up to 72oz of detergent which I love and has WiFi. I like the idea of being able to start the washer from my phone so that the load will be done by time I get home from work to put in the dryer. Speaking of the dryer. Oh my goodness. Love it! It’s so big and with our three Shiba Inus, gets all of the hair off the blankets. This is something the old dryer could not do.

Updates. The only reason that I am not giving a 5 star rating is because, with all of the continuous updates being made to this app, the feature to turn on the washer/dryer from the app, still does not exist. There have been times that I’ve been getting ready for work, and rushing, and either put a load of clothes in the washer or dryer, while I was getting ready, and forgot to start the load. It would absolutely be a convenience to not only be able to stop the washer/dryer, but also start the washer/dryer from the app. The option to stop them has always been there. But the start option is missing. Other than that, everything is great. Besides the fact that sometimes the app will show that the appliances are offline when they are not.

Was Able to Connect Wi-Fi to GE Model GRS600AV1FS Oven. With a little squirming, I was able to follow their procedure to create a SmartHQ account, connect to my network, and program my GE Model GRS600AV1FS oven over Wi-Fi. It works great. To give it 5 stars instead of 4 the procedure would have to be clearer. The way it is written there is a lot being explained at the same time and the procedure to connect to the WiFi had to be sorted out from among other information. It would have been much clearer to only have a numbered procedure about how to connect to Wi-Fi. (After writing this review the creator of the app HAIER US APPLIANCE SOLUTIONS, INC actually emailed me with a phone number and contact email to provide further input. So this app has great support, and I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars.)

Not So Smart HQ. I just asked this AM (Artificial Moron) a simple question: In this app, how do you Save Network? This is not a trick question, it’s an option on the menu. When I open that option it says” You have no saved networks, and a an option to return back. No help there so ask the not- very-helpful “Help”. But it doesn’t know although it suggests adding a new appliance, adding and several other non-applicable actions. When I pointed out that none addressed the actual question, it asked that I suggest a solution. I did in detail and it responded with same response again. I dis point out that each appliance used a different approach to rejoining the appliance back to the network and they needed to use the best approach (so far that is the fridge version) as the model. BTW, the oven version is totally out of date and frequently loses connection and requires a complete reinstall. And it is next to the access point in the kitchen. In summary, this is a marketing app, not an appliance control interface.

This app is HORRIBLE. I own the GE Opal ice maker. When we got it 6 months ago I connected it to wifi via the app and set up a schedule. I noticed a week or so ago that it was not on the schedule anymore (making ice overnight) so I went to the app and there was no record of my appliance in my account. I tried to set it up again and it couldn’t find it, so I went and stood next to it and still nothing. So I chose manual setup and it was asking me for info on the back of my machine. So I move stuff so I can pull the thing out and nope, the info it’s asking for is not on the back of my machine. So I go to the internet. Find out I need to hold down 2 buttons to initiate wifi connectivity. Do that and try again. It find my appliance and starts the connection process. And 5x in a row it has timed itself out on the “one more moment while we finish setting up your appliance” or whatever it says. And no, it’s not my wifi, I just did a speed test and my speed is 258 mbps. It finds the appliance and connects to my wifi no problem, but cannot seem to finish setup. Which is INSANE for an over $500 countertop appliance that you can only control through the app.

Should give internal temp. While the Cafe 4 dr French Door refrigerator itself does not give internal temperature on the display and only shows the setpoint, the internal temperature Hass to be available to the electronics in order to run the fans and compressor. This information should be available inside the app. Right now the app only indicates if the temperature is too warm, akin to old fashion “idiot lights“ on automobiles. EDIT 8/3/21 The push notifications if a refrigerator door is open is almost instantaneous on my phone. Other than that, the app does what it is supposed to do. Additionally there should be better instructions on connecting the refrigerator to Wi-Fi, noting that 5 MHz radio should be turned off on routers during the initial handshaking, as well as if there is a mesh network (much more common nowadays) all satellite mesh devices should be powered down except for the main device. This was what was necessary as confirmed by tech-support in order to connect my refrigerator to Wi-Fi.

Appreciate the app but needs more notification control. The app is so helpful for doing laundry when you wouldn’t necessarily know how much longer the dryer has. You can set it to notify you 5 minutes before the cycle finishes. No more setting a timer to make sure your cloths do not wrinkle. In addition, no more forgetting that you had a load in the washer and letting it sit overnight with the app notification that the washer is done. A great feature of the GE washer is the Smart Vent that slowly and efficiently dries the inside of the washer after a load so mold doesn’t grow. However, the problem is that the washer will notify you at 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning that there is 5 minutes left until the smart vent is done. The app really needs a way to turn off that notification. I am a first responder who needs to have my phone on at night. I just don’t want to be woke up by that notification again.

Basically an ad platform now.. This used to be a pretty decent app. Provided the functionality you needed nothing you didn’t. Now, it’s been overtaking by banner ads all over the place, a stupid virtual assistant who doesn’t add value and a bunch of quick shortcuts that you’ll likely never use. It’s obvious that GE only really cares about the continued data collection and ad revenue from click through within their appliance apps. Does it work to control my oven? Yeah, it does. But that’s legitimately all I really need it to do. Luckily this one has been regulated to my untrusted managed firewall network so it can’t collect anything or phone home but man, I do wonder what data they’re pulling from those that aren’t perhaps as technically secure. I don’t know, this is just a case of “just because you can..” How many people are really clicking on their ovens app to get a recipe instead of just going on the Internet? You have to wonder what these boardroom meetings meetings sound like.

Can't buy appliances with an app that is inaccessible. I appreciate the response from the developer that they welcome my feedback there was no indication they are going to make the app accessible in a specific timeframe. They said they would submit it as a "feature request." Accessibility really isn't a feature -- it's a basic requirement. Without making simple changes to work with the VoiceOver screen reader, I cannot use the app. Even with "Screen Recognition" turned on. It's that inaccessible. For example, when I went to add a device, I was presented with the prompt to select a brand. Then I was told there is an empty list. By sight, someone can see the screen was full of company logos as images. This would be an easy thing to fix. Images are by default not accessible to the screen reader built in to iOS. The developer has to specifically turn on the isAccessible variable and assign text labels to the images, so the screen reader has something to read. Additionally, if these changes are made, not only would a blind person be able to use the app, but someone who was paralyzed could as well, by turning on a built-in feature called Switch Control. That will move a cursor from item to item on the screen, and a person who can blow into a tube or make some other motion to trigger a switch connected to the device can select an item. This is important for people who want to live independently.

Master of nothing. Interesting app intended to manage hundreds of connected appliances from different manufacturers all over the world which implies it cannot possibly do a good job on any of them. Appears to have been designed by a committee of men who cannot cook, shop, or wash dishes. Flawed multi-brand, multi-function, multi-lingual, and cross-platform interface design that conforms to no design standards for human interactions. Confusing names for fields in sub-menus hidden in odd places. Does not take advantage of available appliance data flow such as internal fridge and oven temperatures. Oven timer counts down in whole minutes only. Will display appliance model numbers but will not accept or display serial numbers making the app useless for service calls. Cannot find software version. Refuses to display a list of my appliances: ”No Appliances Available.” App displays contradict or conflict with appliances’ information displays. App’s login credentials and other features do not take advantage of advanced iOS functions. This is the only app choice for these appliances.

App is Good, Notifications need work. I like that the app notifies me when my washer is almost finished with a load, then finished, then way beyond finished. The app does just the right amount of nagging me to go deal with the laundry. The same goes for the dryer, and I like being able to tell it to keep spinning for a while. I wish I could choose different notification SOUNDS for each appliance. If I’m doing both a washer load and a dryer load, I can’t tell which one finished without going to my phone. Also, whenever SmartHQ sends me a notification, my dogs go nuts because they think someone just came in the driveway. Since I can’t change the SmartHQ sounds, the notifications are the same as those for my security cam that watches for vehicles coming to our house.

Prettier but not much better. I was glad to see the rebranding of GE’s awkwardly-named GE U+ Connect app to something a little more streamlined. It’s prettier, sure, but I’m not sure it really delivers what I want as a connected appliance owner. First off, SmartHQ and the associated icon tells me nothing as I’m swiping through apps trying to find the one that operates my appliances. Second, the capabilities really haven’t gotten any better for my connected Microwave. I stopped getting notifications over a year ago, and they’ve never started up again. The library of products I can scan to cook in the microwave also seems to have stagnated, and multi-step cooks just don’t work beyond the first heating stage. As I added new washers and dryers, it took me forever to find the option to rename each so I could tell them apart. And this app still only supports one home, so appliances between my primary and vacations homes are all mixed in together. This is GE and Haier. I expect better from a name of this caliber. It suggests that Haier, like so many other connected product manufacturers, just isn’t dedicating the budget and talent to this app that’s necessary to continue to add value beyond just plugging in new product models.

Happy with my W/D💙. So far I have no complaints for my washer or dryer. They clean and dry extremely well, with plenty of options in each appliance. We opted for the washer without the self dispensing detergent feature because we were concerned about the tubes, etc. becoming clogged with detergent overtime. We saw no indication that this possibility was addressed with a flushing system after each wash and that’s probably needed if they want to have that handy feature without burdening buyers with future repairs but we could’ve overlooked something. All that said, that is literally the only feature I would want to add. Well, they need to continue working on the ventilation system to dry the area around the door seal after each wash. I don’t really see how that’s doing a whole lot? To avoid the possibility of mold, we try to be diligent about letting the door air out at the end of our wash week or wipe it down. Not a super big deal. All in all, a solid machine so far, enjoying the WiFi feature that notifies me when loads are ✅.

Seemingly useless app for me. I bought a new home and have been trying to connect to my monogram smart appliances for a couple of weeks now. I did manage to get my fridge connected, but I have had zero luck with the other appliances. Even though they are in discoverable mode, my phone is unable to find them time and time again. And although I was able to get the fridge connected, it told me that my water filter needed to be replaced, so I clicked on the link to the one it told me I needed. Paid the money and had it shipped to me, only to find out it’s the wrong water filter for my model! isn’t one of the points of connecting my fridge to a smart app that it has the ability to tell me which water filter is required for my model, since the app should know which model I have?! Pointless! Additionally, the app doesn’t appear to have Face ID login, nor will it let me save my credentials to the iCloud keychain, which is a total pain. But biggest pain is that I can’t get it to find and connect to the rest of my appliances! Makes the whole “connected” thing pretty pointless….

Multi family house hold. This app is great! What would make it even better is for each member of the household to be able to create a profile on the app and then be able to pair their individual phones with the washing machine/app so everyone would know who’s laundry is washing/drying. For anyone having trouble with connecting their washer to WiFi (we have Xfinity) … we couldn’t get it to work at first which was really frustrating but then I happened to stumble across an Ad for Xfinity PODs which boost your WiFi strength in other rooms in your house and other floors in your house. You just plug them into a wall outlet and follow prompts on your phone to connect the POD to the WiFi. Our main WiFi is on the second floor, the POD is plugged in on the first floor but above where are washer is located in the basement. We have no choice but to have are washer in the basement. I can see how that would make it difficult for the WiFi to reach the basement. The Xfinity POD worked like a charm! Easy connection to WiFi every time! I’m sure other internet providers have their own devices to improve the strength of the WiFi through different rooms/floors of the house. Update on original review, top of review: A feature that would be a nice addition to the app would be to allow multiple people to be signed into the app at the same time. My husband and I just tested/figured out the other day that only one of us at a time can be logged into the app/washer because the other one then gets an email saying that they were bumped out. We have 5 people in our house doing laundry. It would be nice for them to know when it is done. I do think this app has great potential.

Don’t waste your time. Purchased a GE “smart microwave”. It says to download the GE connect app. But once you get everything all set up, it says you’re not authorized when you try to set up a new account. As someone pointed out in one of those reviews. You need to download the Smart HQ app however that is not mentioned anywhere with the information that came with the appliance. Then, after you give all of your personal information and set up an account and try to connect to Wi-Fi, you need to connect to the GE address that shows up from your Wi-Fi list and of course it says no Internet connection because it is not an Internet connection. And then you can’t connect your home Wi-Fi unless you go back after its found the microwave switch it over to your in-home router and then I doubt it could even find that if it was connected via a cable, it just sits and spins saying searching for Wi-Fi networks. And there’s no way to back out of that screen to start over so you have to delete the app and start over again. And again it doesn’t work. I do HVAC work and I’ve installed countless Wi-Fi thermostats of different brands in peoples homes. And they are so easy to connect via your cell phone or an iPad. I currently have an iPhone 14, so it’s a newer phone. Maybe they haven’t caught up yet. This shouldn’t be that difficult. Perhaps GE isn’t hiring the best and brightest. But if you’re buying to try to sell smart appliances. Then you really need to simplify the process of getting them connected otherwise they’re useless and you may as well just buy any appliance.

Not functioning for GE washer dryer. The app was awesome until the new iOS came out, now it doesn’t function properly. I was able to open the app and see thrasher and dryer active state and history, and that it was sending notifications, however the notifications do not come through. After verifying my phone settings and app setting did not change with any of the updates, I force updated my app. When that didn’t work, I tried deleting and reinstalling my washer and dryer. Still no cycle notifications. Then I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and I cannot log back in, it says the password is incorrect. So I attempted to reset the password via the forgotten password link, and that seemed successful, but when I try to log back in I get a message that says “invalid credentials”. The Wi-Fi cycle notifications may seem like a minor thing, but for me, a forgetful person with a lot going on, they are a lifesaver. Yesterday I completely forgot a load of towels in the washer, and had to rewash them today because they sat overnight and half the morning and already didn’t smell fresh again. It’s a total bummer that this isn’t working and hasn’t been for a little over a week now. I don’t have an issue with any of my other apps, so I’m pretty sure it’s the app and not my phone.

GE Profile Washer and Dryer Combo. I am so glad I bought this machine. I was skeptical, but now I am sold. The technology is wonderful and makes life more convenient. There is the added bonus of not having to move wet heavy clothes from a washer to a dryer, which is a pleasure. When you open the door, the clothes are ready and 90% of the time they’re dry. If they’re not dry you can select a more dry option and they will be perfect. I actually feel this is reduced the pain from arthritis in my low back and knees as I have bought the platform and bending into the machine is not a problem. Also, the automatic dispensing of laundry detergent and fabric softener is an incredible feature that makes it less messy and so much more convenient. Be sure to clean the filter every cycle. and wash the foam filters when the back of it gets dirty. I highly recommend using this kind of technology to make your life more convenient.

GE Opal 2.0. Just set up my new Opal 2.0 nugget ice maker and was excited to find out that it was wifi enabled along with an app to control it remotely! How cool! …..well that quickly went by the wayside just upon trying to set up the app to my appliance. It crashed multiple times and had to be reopened and reinstalled, along with parts of the app itself being glitched / missing. Then it had difficulty picking up my wifi signal and ice maker and kept saying there was an error. Once that eventually passed and everything was good to go (so I thought) I started toying with the features and quickly found out that almost NOTHING on the app works like it’s supposed to. The app will not power my machine on / off (kept getting error message of “oops, something went wrong…”), It won’t set a schedule and every time I open the app to check the status of my ice maker it always shows the same inaccuracies (ice maker “making ice” even though it’s not. Light on “dim” even if the light is off). It’s like it’s not even reflecting what the appliance is doing whatsoever which is highly annoying since I would like the ability to control the machine while at work so as not to waste water, ice and energy. Not to mention saving it from running all the time when no one is home. The only thing the app has let me do was turn the light off / on. Yay. The ice maker is a fantastic appliance. Works great and looks beautiful in my kitchen. A true luxury item for sure, but this app is absolutely USELESS and very disappointing. I expected far better from a company like GE. A machine of this quality deserves better, especially for the premium price people are paying for it!! Hope an update / fix is in the works, if not, looks like I’ll just cut my losses and delete it….

Not great for Geospring water heater. The app has a lot of potential. But I chose the GE water heater partially because of advertised control that this app would allow. But it lacks some basic content. And more importantly it is unreliable and inconsistent. I have spent two weeks trying to make contact with somebody who can discuss the app with knowledge and confidence. But that remains elusive The app has a power meter, and there are some days when it shows the water heater has used no energy even when I've been working next to it for hours while it ran. I have a schedule for setting various temperatures. And some days the schedule is not followed. This of course leads to cold showers. The app does not allow me to set the tank temperature directly without it being relative to my mixing valve output temperature. And that prevents me from taking full advantage of my solar energy. I only want to run during the day when the sun is up and the air is warm. I have no way to turn the heat pump off at night and yet still allow hot water for showers out of the tank. Please let me help you fix this app!!

Rinse aid, loading, and dried egg yolk. I have filled the rinse aid cup until it starts overflowing having allowed burps and bubbles to clear before completing my task. I continue to get a message telling me the rinse cup needs filling. The instructions tell me I only need to fill it about once a month and I have filled it three or four times since we had the dishwasher installed, which was February 9, 2022. I find this dishwasher is more difficult to load (I am learning) than my old Bosch, but having the extra spray under the utensil baskets is very nice and the little holders on some of the upper shelf tines is nice for holding down plastic refrigerator containers. Egg yolk dried on a plate all day gets shiny and clean at the end of the day when the dishwasher runs. All in all this dishwasher really gets the dishes clean! And that’s what we want isn’t it?

All devs should make this their 2025 New Years Resolution: Just build an iPadOS specific App Already. Developers, look, some of you have been developing iOS Apps for seventeen years. iPads came to market in 2010, and I acknowledge that allowing iPads to run apps designed only to run on original iOS phones was probably smart to ease and speed adoption of tablets. It also took Apple 9 years to release its own iPad version of iOS. But I no longer understand how any iOS developer could be happy shipping iPad-compatible apps that have not been optimized to utilize the larger screen. Why do I still have a fake phone-sized version of this App a few days before 2025, FIFTEEN YEARS, after there was clearly a need to do some simple UI tweaks to simply have a native app. Please, for the love of god let your New Year’s resolution be spending two weeks making the app look good on my giant 12.9” iPad. I will also continue to quietly hope Apple finally tells you all they no longer support the bandaid temporary fix they implemented before some high school students today were born. How a company like Apple, known for its attention to detail in designs, doesn’t change its policy on this is beyond comprehension.

Can’t even register!. I purchased a complete suite of GE Cafe appliances for the remodel of our kitchen. I have been trying for 4 days to register an account via this horrible excuse for an app!!!!! I can never get past the create a new password entry section as once the required password is entered (all required sections show green check mark) and the submit confirmation box is duly checked, the process shows the error “Something went wrong, please try again later” and I am returned to the country selection screen. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone and have tried everything to get out of this infinite circular logic loop. I am ready to return $23k in appliances over the frustration!!!!!! Update: I contacted their CS and spent an hour on the phone, trying everything, including reboot on the device and my router, and was asked if I had another email address I could use as the app sometimes just doesn’t like some email addresses. What? It’s the same email address I have had for over 15 years! I then tried my wife’s address and was able to register for an account. However, still couldn’t get all of the appliances to register. I’m now waiting for the engineer group to contact me ( it’s been 5 days) and if it is like the actions to date, I have little confidence that they will resolve anything. What a disaster.

App won’t recognize to my fridge. I’m hoping a 1-star review will prompt a CS response. I’ve spent nearly an hour on this app already and haven’t even been able to add my fridge. First, after repeated “resend email” attempts to get an email to confirm my account, I ended up being able to “hack” the system by going through the “create and new password” process. Once I got into the App, I tried to add my fridge to the App several different times in several different ways. My phone shows that it’s connected to the fridge’s wifi, but it never connects to my home network and allows me to communicate through the App to the fridge. My ice maker stopped working, and I’m hopeful to find some info through App about what might be going on. I’ve already spoken with GE CS, and they didn’t know enough about the App to offer any help. My guess is that this App won’t have diagnostics built in, and all this effort will be for not anyways… UPDATE: I was able to connect the app to my fridge, but it took nearly 30 min of troubleshooting with CS and creating a lower security guest network on my router. Once connected, it did offer some insight on the ice maker that eventually helped me determine what the issue I was having.

Like most others, I find the app almost worthless. Have a fridge, dishwasher, oven, and microwave all registered in the app. Dishwasher has had troubles staying connected (according to the app) but the dishwasher itself says it is connected. Also the options available to me initially when selecting custom cycle for dishwasher have changed several times!! (Silverware setting is currently gone, in the past the bottle jet option has disappeared and reappeared. NO ONE at GE or the stupid smart assistant ever have an answer why. Also one would think the ability to see real time fridge temp would be a basic feature, but guess what? No way to tell actual temp, they only display “set” temp. And most of all, the pop up for new features is incessantly alerting me even after I’ve reviewed the new features or said I don’t want to. God grief! It’s not that hard to program it to stop appearing after a decision is made. And I agree with the endless list of user reviews that are fed up with the ads!!!!! It just makes me less likely to recommend or buy another GE. It shows all you care about is sucking more money out of me, and not actually caring about making the app useful after I paid for “smart” appliances. Shame on you (former) GE.

More glitz than functionality. My biggest problem is that there is no documentation, or at least not that I can find. How can I figure out how to operate the features? Getting the thing hooked up was a bit of a guessing game. I have a washer and dryer which have external “u-connect” modules. I did manage to trial and error guess at the correct settings. A little documentation would have helped. So now I can see the status of both washer and dryer but can’t figure out how to control them, like change a setting remotely or start the dryer remotely. No docs to look up how-to stuff. Otherwise, the app does notify me (a lot—can we control which notifications we really want? Do I really need a loud notification that the washer is 5 minutes from being done and another loud notification when it actually is done? And another one badgering me to remove the clothes after 30 minutes? And three more similar notifications from the dryer?). Maybe there is a complete user guide somewhere or even a quick start guide? I could not find it.

Very poor quality assurance. We use with GE oven and a dishwasher. The app probably works fine in ideal conditions that designers use to test it. It real world there is a 50% chance that when you open the app, you are greeted with the message, “The appliance is offline”. And you cannot use it. Absolutely everything trips the app: you lost power for a millisecond, the range lost its connection, the firmware was upgraded, the range lost its connection, the app was upgraded, the range lost connection, the router was rebooted, the range lost its connection. And it its not like the programmers do not know about it. There is even a special entry (hidden deep in the menu) to remove the appliance from the account and reconnect it from scratch (which takes around 10-15 min). Unless and before one can open the app and have an ability to connect to appliance with 99% probability the app is useless.

Stupid Program fails to save credentials in iOS Passwords. For the life of me I can not see where SmartHQ stores credentials. I have just reset my password twice. IOS asks if I want to use their provided “strong password.” I say yes. Then try and log in. “Invalid Credentials.” Rinse Repeat. Frustrating, non-standard and just plain stupid. I am sure there’s a workaround, but it’s not obvious. When working this is a three star program - - not elegant but does allow control of timers and ovens, and alerts you when timer is up or temperature is reached. Update: the developer suggests I re-install the program after deleting. Needless to say this is a worthless suggestion that I have already tried four times to no avail. I finally solved my log-in problem; if you’re looking for your password in either Keychain or iOS you’ll find it under “force” with no logo or other clue to relate it to SmartHQ, Cafe or GE Appliances. That alone is a piece of incompetent programming. Finally I am now in an endless loop where my oven tells me there’s a software update and asks if I want it do it or not, but then goes ahead without waiting for approval. After that, it says “loading” - - but I have a fast internet connection and after more than an hour it still says “loading.” Endless loop of idiotic behavior. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Great washer/dryer; Sucky communications. I’ve had a smart connect washer/dryer for several years. Everything worked great at first. But all my problems since have been with app communications. The app no longer sends messages to my phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max). I can look in the app and see the messages but I can no longer get proactive notifications. When this happened before, I was told that I had to delete and then reinstall the app. Which also meant that I had to reattach each device to the app. Having to reattach the GE Devices to the app happens far too often. That resolution is too painful. So now when I start the dryer, I set a timer on my phone for the anticipated finish time. I can then look in the app at the anticipated finish to get a more accurate finish — it’s always going to be longer than the first reported time. So then I can set another timer. I like that I can turn the Extended Tumble on from the app. And the GE machines are excellent at cleaning and drying. Too bad the promised communications don’t work as they should. Drives me crazy.

Fixed my issues with the ge app. I downloaded this app because the ge app became broken and still has not been updated or fix. This app allowed me to once again use the smart features I payed extra for on my ge ac. However I have a few things I don’t like one is the adds I rent so most of the smart devices out there are not worth my investment because I don’t own the property, the app recently now bothers me every time I use it to give it Bluetooth access on my phone yet my ac dos t have so there is no need for that access for me asking one and saying no should be enough not every time, the old ge app I had would show me the estimated usage by both the total day but I could also see by the hour it let me fine tune my settings through out the day as I have to use it a lot in the summer so my dog is comfortable while we are at work I do miss that.

Connect. The app definitely has it’s good features. Remote control and notifications are great. However, there seems to be a undiscovered issue with connecting your appliances. So it appears if you are logged on to your GE account via the internet by browser, it will prevent you from connecting an appliance with the app. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour. We went through the set up/connection features on the app several times. A help ticket was created to escalate the problem. I started reviewing everything afterwards. I thought maybe being logged in by browser and the app was a issue. Once I logged out of my GE account on the website I was able to access the smart cloud and connect my appliance. It appears the account was locked out to the app while I was logged in to my GE account on the website. The two would seem unrelated as you are not using the same interface and cannot control or connect to your appliances via the website. Maybe since it resolves by not using both IT can research this. It’s certainly something to consider.

Many glitches with mini-splits. I have 8 mini-splits running off of two outside compressors. The app does not have a feature to turn off the front panel light, so I have to use the remote to do so. And here is where the problem appears to happen - I turned on two of my wall units (running off the same compressor) in the evening, and then double tapped the light button on the remotes to turn off the panel light…and each unit turned off completely. I tried numerous times and the same thing happened. I then used the remote to power them on and turn off the light and it all worked fine. Last night, I just wanted to have our bedroom unit on and wanted to see if the same thing happened - in this case, the unit did not appear to turn off, but it was blowing at the time and stopped blowing when I turned off the light and then it didn’t run all night (got into the 30’s outside) UNTIL, I turned on the dining room unit this morning (same compressor) - then the bedroom unit started running again. Bottom line, the app is useful for adjusting room temps, fan modes and turning the units off, but weird things happen if you turn them on with the app and want to turn off the front panel light. With 8 units to manage at a time when the days are in the high 60’s/low 70’s and nights are in the 30’s/40’s, it’s especially problematic. Another thing - readings on the app for a unit aren’t always accurate - it might say that the current room temp is 70 degrees when it clearly isn’t. Or it might say the fan is set to “High” when it is on auto (I always have them set to auto). Lots of glitches. I really hope they can be fixed. I was super excited to be able to manage the system from an app.

Great app - tweaks would make it fantastic. The SmartHQ app has only gotten better with each upgrade. We used it this past Thanksgiving Holliday and we’re showing family and friends wants a great value the GE appliances are and how the app only adds to that value. For reference, our double oven is model GE Café CTD90DP2NS1. We did note two shortcomings that can be overcome with an update. 1) when using the Temperature probes for cooking, we were blown away how easy it was and how the two turkeys came out perfect! We were surprised however that on the SmartHQ app the temp probe cooking feature was only available for the upper oven and not the lower oven. It worked flawlessly on the double oven screen but not the app. 2) the notification and timers did not seem to function correctly on the app when using the probes for either oven. A third (3) very minor issue regarded the surprise update to the timer for the holidays. It was wonderful to hear the timer signal converted to a turkey gobble! Unfortunately the volume was so low it could only be heard when the kitchen was completely silent. I’m guessing it was perhaps 45 decibels on loud volume. Our gathering had more than 40 people at its height and the house was very loud. I’m certain the volume should have been at least 70 decibels for everyone to enjoy much less be of any use. I can’t unifier it would have even functioned if I were to have the volume set lower than the “loud” setting.

Aggravating Initial Experience. Have had our oven for over a year and finally decided to try the WiFi features required in order to use precision cooking and convection roast. Why these are connected features only is beyond me. It’s aggravating that an appliance needs to be connected in order to use simple functions like Air Fry or Convection Roast. As for the app, I’m technologically capable, but this app has to be the least intuitive and aggravating apps I’ve ever used. Setting up my range required jumping through hoops, not a simple step by step process it should have been. Once I did get through the steps, each one took so long to complete and we have a strong WiFi. Then when the app said I had an update and I selected to update, it completed and said update successful you have a happy appliance, but was frozen. Even after the range required an update choice as well and it was complete, the app was still frozen. It finally became active again after about 15 minutes. I just hope it improves from here!

Annoyingly slow and lacking features. The worst thing about Cafe smart appliances is, they’re wifi connected but can’t directly update themselves. They require your phone to be screen ON and in the app for 30 minutes at a time to update and half the time it fails. Nobody has time for that. I’ve tried to update this stupid thing 3 times. And timers set in the app no longer function. I just can’t use it at all. The only thing the app does for the fridge is allow you to schedule hot water or notify you if the door is left open. On the fridge and in the app, there is no real-time temperature display even though I know it has precision sensors. I know this because I can “hack” a way to display the current fridge and freezer temps by changing the current fridge and freezer settings. Doing this will display current temperature. It would also be great to be able to see how long it will take the refrigerator to get back down to the current setting after new food has been loaded or the doors were left open for too long. It would also be good to know if that time is longer than ok for food safety reasons. Oh yeah, and there’s a feedback option in the app that literally doesn’t work. Doesn’t do anything. You type your feedback and then it doesn’t accept the submission

Not quite ready for blind users. My wife and I recently purchased a new home and we’re excited to get new appliances which should be more accessible to me as a blind user. The salesman went over the features of the GE washer and dryer and assured us that they could be controlled with this app and would be accessible. The app works fairly well for my wife who is not visually impaired although there are some connectivity issues regardless of the location and signal strength of our wireless router. For me, the app is almost unusable. It is difficult to select the wash settings and I keep getting directed to a dead end where it wants me to set up auto delivery for detergent when all I want to do is start the washing machine to wash my clothes. I actually have to turn the physical dial on the machine and swipe back and forth on my iPhone to find out which setting it is before touching the start Button on the washing machine.

WORTHLESS. This app is very disappointing. I have the double oven french door monogram ovens. They too are disappointing. Let’s start with ONE timer on a set of DOUBLE OVENS! What idiot did that? The entire point of having DOUBLE OVENS is to be able to cook MORE than ONE item at a time. NEXT while preheating and actually cooking my ovens will turn off to try to locate an UPDATE! WHILE I AM TRYING TO USE THEM. Again, I ask ? WHAT IDIOT PROGRAMMER/DESIGNER decided that was a GOOD IDEA? This app is ZERO help. It should alert me clearly and easily to pending updates and allow ME to control when updates are searched for and installed, thus leading the chance my food prep. will be interrupted or my meals ruined or delayed. I could go on. Service with GE is awful too. Good luck getting anyone who knows ANYTHING about your unit on the phone to answer a simple question. Scheduling is a complete hassle. GE if you read this - DO BETTER! I have an entire new kitchen outfitted with your higher end appliances and I will NOT hesitate to pitch everyone of them out and start over with a different brand if you don’t start putting the consumer FIRST.

Love the App… Except for One Thing. This app works great with our new combination washer and dryer. I love how I can get notified a few minutes before my wash is complete, once it’s done, then again if it sits there for too long. It’s so cool that I can look at my phone and see exactly how much time is left on a cycle. The one thing that drives us crazy, is the smart dispense refill notification. More specifically, how the detergent and softener notification settings are combined so that both of them are either on or both of them are off. We don’t use fabric softener, so every single load we’re notified that the softener tank is empty. The alternative would be to turn off the setting, but then we would not get a notification to top off our detergent when that tank runs low. Please separate the detergent and softener within the smart dispense notification settings.

Worst app ever.. I have several GE Wi-Fi connected appliances, all of which have been connected to WiFi at one time or another, NONE of which are currently able to connect. I have spent countless hours over several years, and even a few phone calls, trying to resolve these issues to no avail. Unplugging the devices, removing them from the app, deleting and reinstalling the app, deleting the WiFi and reentering WiFi details, forgetting the devices in Bluetooth, scanning the QR codes, connecting manually with product label passwords—NOTHING works. Multiple devices. Yes, I’m running the most recent version of the app. Yes, I have a current iPhone. Yes, I have functional, strong WiFi. It’s not like I need these devices connected to WiFi, but why offer it at all if you can’t get it to work properly? Even their techs can’t fix it! Honestly, it’s 2024, GE. I expect better from the leading appliance company in the world. Go hire yourself some new college grads who understand computers and join the 21st century.

it just doesn’t work. my expectations are low. wasn’t even sure why i should have an app for my W/D...when should i want to control these things remotely?? well i turns out that my GE washer has a cycle called “ultra vent” that you can run after you wash. for some reason unknown to me it will go for 8 hours unless you stop it. here’s where that whole control it remotely thing would come in handy except ... THE STUPID THING DOESN’T WORK. i could literally sit here all day pressing the button to turn it off and confirming that yes, i’m sure i want to turn it off. yet—you guessed it—the machine will not turn off. so there’s that. the only reason i give it two stars is that i can use the app to see how much time is left in the cycle without walking upstairs. big whoop. what is the point of having a “smart appliance” if the tool for managing it is dumb?? i contacted the customer service number i was directed to and the person was unable to troubleshoot this issue so it was “escalated.” i received an email telling me to unplug the machine for 10m (?!) then wait 4m after plugging it it to try again. And this worked. Except now it’s back to NOT working. and i don’t have the time or patience to unplug my washing machine every time i want it to work the way it’s supposed to. it’s unfortunate that you don’t find something like this out until after you’ve purchased the machine. i would definitely have passed on the extra expense of a “smart” appliance if i’d known it wasn’t even going to work.

Was unsure at first…. Tried to do some research on this product before purchase and found there wasn’t a lot available. I was very skeptical at first because all in one machine are not common, but after discussing with my wife we decided to make the purchase we have been using for approximately one month and all skepticism is gone! There is slight adjustment to what we were used to in laundry machines but it was a quick assimilation. The clothes are slightly damp after the dry cycle but we found this is no issue at all. Like the product description in a few seconds after shaking it out they are dry. The sealed unit and the slightly damp to touch state on removal (if you take them out immediately) we believe actually help! We are very big on our clothing smelling good and it is apparent that the process with the heat pump drying infuses the dryer sheet smells even more deeply into the fabrics. You have to stop the cycle after wash to add dryer sheet but is so worth it! At least double the atone strength!! All the bells and whistles are nice and the app is great. We are using about 25% less detergent and fabric softener by using the smart dispensers. (Have refilled detergent twice and softener once). ..it’s heavy, so you Glad I paid for installation. And can I say. Added SPACE!!!!!! Smaller house with laundry closet. With only the one machine we installed shelving on both sides! So much storage now!! Really love this machine. A WIN!!

Worth every star!. It only took four phone calls and my two and a half hours to connect with two human helpers to get my Cafe range connected. That is not the good news. Sorry, that’s definitely not the good news. GE in its infinite wisdom has decided it’s better to keep using a very poorly written piece of software requiring even more human intervention to problem solve rather than hiring better knuckleheads to write software that works. Instead, GE believes the public are beta testers! Still not what I call GE Smart. GE thinks it’s better to employ folks to know how to get around the GE SmartHQ piece of garbage software. My 5 Stars are for GE only because having all those employees to do the work-arounds for a range that really shouldn’t require Wi-Fi in order to function but instead guarantees lifetime employment to humans to use appliances that shouldn’t need software at all. They get 5 folks get my 5 Stars and GE gets 5 Stars for hiring extra people who pay taxes that supports Social Security, road taxes, hospital, and employee health benefits. That’s a yeah for GE and our economy. Yup, 5 Stars for not being SmartHQ at all.

Doesn’t work. Can’t connect my Haier appliance to the app. I connect to the wifi then return to the app and the next button is blanked out and cannot proceed. Very frustrating.

Can’t go pass the wifi connection. All my appliances connect like a charm but my F&P heat pump dryer I can’t go past the connect wifi screen on the app So disappointed

Can’t even sign up. Round and round in circles resetting passwords etc. can’t be done - invalid credentials. What a waste of time. I don’t think anybody tested the app and the onboarding process.

Has potential. It would be good if warnings to clean filters for a device also provided a link to the user guide. Vaguely annoying I then have to look it up separately.

I mean it just doesn’t work. They’re very careful to collect email, location and phone number BEFORE it tries and fails to connect the device. I’ve connected to the dryers WiFi… and then back to the app and the “next” button remains disabled. So I have no idea what the function of the app is since I can’t even connect following the instructions.

Zero stars. Won't connect to dryer. Thought I'd try and see what functions came with my Fisher and Paykel dryer on the app. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to connect via wifi, nor Bluetooth.

Slow. So slow.. The set up process could not be slower or more cumbersome. ‘Logging into the cloud’ .. 5mins .. ‘Finding your appliance in the cloud’ .. still waiting actually. It doesn’t have to be this hard. I had it set up a week ago but it dropped off with the dreaded flashing wifi error and now does not want to get set up again. Nice idea but does not work.

Impossible to Connect Fisher Paykel Washinh Machine with WiFi. This App is complete garbage. I am very texh savvy and even after 1 gruelling hour of attempting to connect my Fisher and Paykel Front Loader, I’ve had no success.

Needs so revision. So so And the functionality is limited Good be much better

Rubbish. Absolute waste of time. Doesn’t work. What is the point of this. Cannot use to start or stop remotely it’s just doesn’t repo d. Absolute waste of time and money on this rubbish

Useless. Omg I’m now having to re write my review. In short 100 plus notifications telling me my oven got to temperature is ridiculous. Once during a cook is enough. I deleted my oven from the app after it spammed me no end. Fix this.

Don’t buy unless they fix the app and binding process. Honestly disappointed. The SO purchased the fisher and Parker fridge (side controls version), and made the app account, versified the email, went through the process… and once “connected to the fridge wifi” nothing. Can’t proceed any further. Honestly I could program my own program via a raspberry pi to be easier than the frustration I’m getting from this. I don’t recommend it until this has been fixed. I can’t even comment on its functions are I can’t even connect (tried 3 devices).

WH1601 Washer is Grouse !!. Possibly the best washing machine I have ever owned. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. 9 kg load maximum gentlemen all clothes and all garments and all fabrics introduced. Results in a superb laundering finish stop. The steam cycle is particularly useful. Are use it for many things not just shirts and I use it to deodorise and to help sterilise and to lift stains in items like sheepskin moccasins feather doona queen size

Huge disappointment. This app and my Fisher & Paykel front loader advertise WiFi control functions via the app. Not only was this not available at time of purchase and falsely advertised to have this functionality, but now that I have it set up, many months later, there are no WiFi control functions at all. I can only view the machine status, remaining cycle time and cycle history. Big deal. I spent all of this money on this washer and this is it? Where is this remote control function? It does not even show me the cycle information like temp, etc. The app is very glitchy and inconsistent. Not user friendly. Very disappointed. I tried to submit this via the feedback function on the app but the Submit button did not respond. Hopeless.

Very Poor and disappointed. I find the whole process difficult and frustrating. From setting up an account and completing all the relevant information only to show “internal error” so after 2 or 3 more attempts I find just as many account verifications in my emails, yet there was no mention of this in the app. So I verify my account and can now sign in.. Following the step by step guide and allowing the 10mins for setup I cannot get past the “Loading “ message and is where it hangs and remains.. Haier come on..surely after this type of technology being available now for years surely you could have something work seamlessly by now or at the very least some from your organisation at least test it first before offering to consumers

12kg Washing Machine. After 2brand new failed front loaders with manufacturing issues with two different company’s within a year , I decided to choose fisher & paykel 12kg top loader washing machine and honestly I’m so glad I did, I’m on day 2 and it’s Amazing so quiet, no loud spinning noises, no turning on and off mid cycle so much room to do big loads of bedding and clothes and hoping that third time is a charm and this machine lasts . The app is also self explanatory and easy to setting up, would be handing to download additional wash cycles or create your go to 😊

Work in progress. Downloaded app and opened straight away App glitches and can be laggy at times, very basic app but has potential just needs at little bit more time in the hands of the developers. After many long failed attempts and a lot of colorful language and actions I finally got my connect, well so I thought 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ was able to rename the appliance and now every time I open the app it won’t connect to wifi just says it’s offline. Troubleshooting pages are not helpful so I removed the appliance and it’s been three days and I still can’t get it to connect to wifi it’s a headache and instructions and very basic so I would hate to see the people who aren’t very technologically smart try and connect appliances to the app

Using the app. Easy to use. Just recently started on the app. So far so good. Thx

Worst app worst products avoid this company. Literally the most frustrating experience, waste of money buying your aircon, trying to work this app and your product is like asking for a headache

Amazingly…bad. Recently purchased F&P washer and dryer. Had a few minutes spare so decided to see what the wifi/smart home function was. Downloaded the app, activated wifi on the appliances. That’s where the easy steps end. The app is painfully slow. It could not auto find either appliance despite me standing directly in front. The app froze twice. Turning the appliances on/off didn’t help. Tried adding the appliances manually on the app. That was also painful. Next and submit buttons not active and then when they were they needed to be pressed a couple times. Then exiting out of the setup process and restarting it. FINALLY added the dryer. Started looking at what benefit the app does that the appliance can’t do. Struggled to see any benefit. Even if there was it takes a ridiculously long time to load and think about it. Decided to delete account and the app to not waste anymore time on it. Don’t bother getting the app.

No HomeKit integration. Terrible decision to not have devices like air conditioners not be integrated into Apple Home app through matter support. Please make the change to allow for this option.

Limited use and purpose. I connected to my new fridge which took way too long and too much effort but finally got it, however I was quite disappointed with what it does. I can change the temperature of fridge and freezer, get the status of the filter and turn the ice maker on/off, all of which I could easily do from the fridge. Apparently you can order new filters and service from the app which is nice but haven’t tried yet. Should have the ability to at least get the model and serial number, give you some statistics like run time, power usage, etc. Pretty simple app with limited usability and way too hard to get connected.

Can be annoying. I’ve been trying to connect my washer machine to my phone, I’ve done all the normal troubleshooting, but the app won’t allow me to put my connected appliance password in. I’m over it!

Couldn’t get it to work with Fisher & Paykel fridge. This app requires you to create an account, and Apple ID is not supported, so you have to type stuff on your phone like a troglodyte. Next, it wants to know my location - why? My location is “right next to my device”. The setup is convoluted, but I don’t know how much of this is F&P’s fault. Either way, once I connect to the fridge wifi, and come back to the app, the “Next” button is disabled and I can’t proceed.

Wish I could give 0 stars. This app is the worst thing I have ever used. Was hopeful that some feedback would’ve been taken on board from reviews in previous years, but clearly the team have given up on improving customer experience. How embarrassing.

Cannot set AC automation. We cannot setup multiple users on the app. All we want is to set the AC onto a schedule to maintain the room at 21° irrespective if I am at home or not. To setup an automation, the app must know your location and will only allow you to set an automation if you are at home. Screw the rest of your family. AC only for you.

Recipes. There are some great feature in this app but fact that the recipes are in imperial measurements is hugely annoying. I can’t see any way to change to metric measurements.

If zero stars was possible I would give zero. I don’t know the point of the app. It doesn’t connect with your internet. Tells you the password is wrong. It offers limited support. If you are buying for smart home just don’t. This apps development team were asleep at the wheel. Teenage kids could’ve done a better job.

Fantastic integration.. Thought I wouldn’t use the app, and this would be a gimmick, but I love it. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to provide the option to set up a delayed wash via the app. Might be there and I haven’t found it.

Impossible to connect my new Fisher Paykel dryer to the app. Absolutely useless app. Why this app is so bad??? Tried many times, impossible to get connected for warranty.

Seems half finished half the time.. I got this for a heat pump hot water system and it just seems incredibly limited. It’s great that I can change temp and turn the boost on from an app, but that’s all it does. Why not add a timer function for that boost? I also have to re-enter my product serial number just about every time I open the app. I’ve done it so many times I have it memorised now. All settings are still there and the same as they were, so clearly it’s never lost connection, but for whatever reason it forgets the product every time.

Great App. Easy to use and most helpful to know how long the wash will take and when it finishes etc. Keeps a trend log of number of washes etc. some more interesting stats would be good to see on the upgrade like how many litres of water has been used etc.

Awful. Doesn’t work.. It took ages to connect to my aircon and then worked on and off for a couple weeks (often having to restart the app multiple times to get it to work and having to reconnect the appliance multiple times) and then suddenly doesn’t work at all. I have tried to reconnect multiple times the last couple week and it just doesn’t work. Very disappointing. Should have got a different aircon that has an app that actually works.

Can’t get the screen to adjust settings and timers. Don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but when I select the settings page nothing comes up except for the heading

Horrible to set up. I had a lot of trouble setting up the wifi to the app/machine. It was ridiculous how long it took. I was grateful this would be a one time thing, but after a fault in the motherboard in the brand new machine, I was given a new machine in replacement. Now I cannot connect the new machine to the app and the whole issue starts again. I will persevere but when the book states this could take 10 minutes… I suggest you allow half a day to keep doing the same thing over and over until it connects. I must say when it did work on my previous machine it was brilliant, but set up is a debacle.

More intelligent feedback and control via App, F&P washing. Schedule delayed wash via phone. More intelligent feedback and control via App, F&P washing machine. Schedule delayed wash via phone, & information on how my washing machine is performing. If you need help setting up your App and Washing Machine, I’ve made a video online! “Fisher & Paykel WiFi Setup App SmartHQ Connect WH1160 F2 S1 Michael’s Guide If I can start the machine via the App, I should also be able to set a time when I would like to DELAY start the machine i.e. start at 5:30AM Cottons. Could even have a calendar booking system for the washing machine, as more than one uses it and you’ll know when washing is being done/planned by others. Also, Active Intelligence feedback on my washing performance via App would be useful and a great way to calibrate the machine, to wash better. How do I know how well my clothes are washing, the machine does, I don’t. That information would be good. Information on how components are functioning, how is the Sensing Load and Soil Sensing Sensors working. Have they failed, and washing the clothes improperly, do I need to do a drum clean. Does a technician at some stage need to come out to clean it or replace it, or just prompt a clean when required via App. The Notifications are GREAT, good to know when the washing is done to go hang it up!

Can not adjust air conditioner temperature. After the most recent app update I can no longer adjust the temperature of my 2 Haier air conditioners from the app. Nothing happens except the app shows the temperature as 0° after I try to change it. It has no effect.

Fisher Pikel fridge app. This app really does little to help in the every day use of my fridge. Does a great job of feeding the makers of this app pleanty of my information. Can’t even access the self help area on it.

Pointless app does not work. I installed this app with a Fisher & Paykel DH9060 model dryer. Connecting the machine to the network is hit and miss. It then works first time and stops responding. If it worked, I can see the notification that the dryer had completed its cycle might be useful. However since I need to stand in front of the machine to load and unload it, why would I use an app to select and start the cycle? A bad solution in search of a problem. Don’t bother.

Does not work. The is app is a waste of time. Don’t even bother trying to connect. I’ve been trying to connect my Fisher and Paykel dish drawer for the last 20 mins. It takes ages to “communicate with the appliance” then goes back into a loop. I’ve given up. RUBBISH app.

Absolute Garbage. Brand new Fisher and Paykel washer. Follow the bouncing ball until the join the machines wifi ssid. It says join it and return to app. Nothing happens after that. The next button remains greyed out. Don’t offer it, if it doesn’t work. 🤬🤬🤬

Complicated and doesn’t work. Words cannot fully describe just how bad this app and the entire onboarding process is. First is the overly complicated initial account setup process that immediately doesn’t accept the password you provided requiring you to go through a password reset procedure. Then the app simply does not connect to my fridge even though I can ping it from my phone so the wifi is connected properly. Clearly even the most basic testing hasn’t occurred because the most basic functions of the app just don’t work. Would give zero stars if it were possible.

Doesn’t work all the time. Despite connections, disconnecting and reconnecting I don’t get the notifications from my dryer and it’s not recording stats. Washer working ok though.

Useless. I’ve never come across such a useless app. HAEIR should be embarrassed to tie their brand to it. My son is IT. He knows his way around computers and software. He just laughed at this and suggested I give up trying to connect the appliances to it. It’s a total failure.

Hard to connect, does little useful. Very hard to connect to Fisher Paykel fridge - took about 30 minutes of trial and error (Google home this is not - wonder if Haier know about QR codes?) The app is stable once connected but does little. As a test try to book a service - the fiat thing the app asks you for is your address and applicable type. Information you provided when you logged in. Maybe later releases will be worth installing. Andy

Dumbest smart app I’ve ever seen. Functionless, clunky and slow. Not compatible with google home, so a standalone app with zero integration to existing google smart homes. Don’t bother wasting your data on this app - virtually useless. The washing machine doesn’t even hold its remote function, it has to be re-enabled each time you turn it on (keep in mind on and off is essentially a standby mode, not being turned off at mains).

Limited Functionality. I mean, it does a really good job of notifying me when my washer is finished. A feature request would be to add Apple shortcut support. Then I can tie in an automation that allows my HomePods to announce when the washer has finished.

Kinda Pointless. I bought a Fisher & Paykel dryer and it directed me to this app for “remote control”. To call this remote control is extremely generous. This app can start the dryer if everything else has been set up prior. It can not change any settings, it can not turn the dryer on, it can not do anything at all until remote control is manually enabled on the dryer, which needs to be done every time the dryer is turned on. I suspect this app is nothing more than an experiment in data mining as the amount of information you have to give up just to be able to start a dryer from a phone is a bit suspicious.

That app is grate but……. The smart HQ app is grate but I notice that when I pair it to Google home it doesn’t link probably. Iv tryed everything but it would not pair with my ovens to Google home. But all n all the app works good I can start the ovens with my phone and it lets me know when it’s cooking time is finished. I also like it how it pairs with my Sonos speakers really handy.

Does as advertised. Have the app connected to my fisher paykel washer. Works perfectly. Read the instructions which tell you how to connect and how to use remote control.

Glitchy & aggravating. My new oven requires me to download this app to use all the features, but every time I try to register I get a “try later, something isn’t working” message. Do I know what that enigmatic something is? No. What I do know is that at this point my kids will be eating dinner sometime next week. This “value add” feature is unnecessary and unhelpful, and is currently making my right eye twitch excessively. I don’t want to FaceTime my mum from the oven, I don’t want my potatoes to have their own TikTok account, I just want to cook a bl**dy roast. Yes, I am entering my curmudgeon era. No I don’t care what gen z and the nerds at GE think, sometimes the analogue way is the best way. If you can’t cook a meal because the app is emo, then what you have is a completely broken and frankly moronic system. Cheerios for dinner, anyone?

Great and could be better. I like the simplicity of the app. Works as it should. Sonos feature is great, my wife and I laugh because when the clothes are in the wash for 30 min sitting, it reminds us and it almost sounds like it’s saying “your damn laundry has been in the washer or dryer for 30 min”. It was funny. We know it says damp. ;) Would love to support more automated technologies. For instance, google home, Samsung smart things, and Apple HomeKit. Pretty please.

Useless. I have no idea why I need to use an app to control my GE Profile coffee machine if the app it’s not able to communicate with the machine itself. The espresso machine is fully connected to wifi, works flawlessly but I can’t customize it as the app say. Each time I paired the machine, the app shows different values and still not connected with the machine. Update, I contacted the customer service 1.5 months ago as per developer answer. Guess what, no answer yet, such a great customer service 😒

Update firmware. Issue with machine is if it runs low on water unable to control remotely with app to shut it off.

Would Rate Higher If Last Update Didn’t Clobber All My Shortcuts. App normally works well, and is very handy and useful…but the latest update removed all of my shortcuts…again…not too thrilled about having to recreate them all every time there’s an update. Please fix this.

Can’t connect appliances. I cannot find the password so I can’t connect the wall oven. No one seems to be able to help

Phone. Can’t set it up on my device since it won’t accept a Canadian phone number as valid

App gets stuck on “loading” pop up. This app repeatedly gets stuck on the “loading” popup when going back to the home page from your appliance. I also have one heat pump where it shows an update available but the option disappears when I click on the appliance.

Pas le meilleur. Ce déconnecte constamment, on doit refaire le processus de connexion souvent … plusieurs bogues

Does not work!. Made an account for GE appliances and downloaded the app! Won’t allow recognition of my email address or password! Would give this app a minus 5 rating if allowed! Do better GE….

Doesn’t seem to work with Canada. won’t let me register appliances as I am not in the USA, I’m in Canada. App won’t let me login half the time saying my password is wrong, but it comes directly from 1Password (no change). Really difficult to use something that should be super simple.

Only one thing wrong. I wish the app would turn of the stove top too not just the oven

Aucune traduction francophone.

COME ON. Is it really that hard to add a timer for the cafe range hood software! Such simple features shouldn’t be missing on a “premium product” COME ON NOW

Ge portable ac unit. This app has been a life saver during the summer heat, especially with having a dog. The ability to set a timer to turn on/off your ac incase you forget, the ability to see how warm your room is and adjust your temp or turn off while at work has been amazing. That’s being said, trying to get this thing to connect to my phone was pretty frustrating to say the least. The set up took almost 20 mins after trying multiple times to set up a connection but once it’s done it’s it’s amazing. Would be nice if multiple people could connect to it but so far just 1 successful. Still give this 5 stars for how much stress it’s saved me being at work in 30 degree weather and not worrying about my dog.

GE Profile. The GE Profile has been a delight. Having the ability to load the machine, press your desired cycle and walk away has been a changed the way laundry can and should be done. I only wish the detergent options in the digital profile included the clean detergent we have chosen to use. Clean People is our detergent choice because it has clean and trusted ingredients. At this point we are using the automatic dispensing option, but having this detergent added to the digital list would allow us to manage the detergent usage in a more efficient manner. Overall love the GE Profile and would recommend it strongly

Dark mode. Great app just support dark mode on the icons

Please give a significant name to your app!. The app works fine. But PLEASE stop trying to be creative with the name of your app and make sure that when the user types your brand’s name on their phone (not just on the App Store!), that your app is shown as a result. PLEASE have your poor users in mind.

Wrinkle Care. Does the new updated app version not allow for wrinkle care? I miss that feature. If it’s still part of the app, where do I find it?

Fridge???. I see my fridge but when I click on it, nothing happens. Freezer work’s fine….

God awful app. From the initial pairing to trying to change settings, no part of this app is thoughtfully created.

Cannot connect appliance with app. I bought a brand new semi auto espresso machine. Spent hours trying to connect app with machine but cannot!! What should I do now??? Quite disappointing!

Obvious Bugs. Fix them. Got the ge profile washer dryer combo When updating it gets confused. No status how far it’s updating. Had to force close app Can’t turn on machine remotely to start wash when I already have cloths inside Smart detergent says off but go in and it says on Fix these obvious bugs

Great machine. I wondered if this machine would do what it stated but it does. Yes may take a little longer to dry towels but it does. Lets me know when to clean filter, self clean etc. another great feature I fill up the detergent and fabric softener and it only uses what it needs I don’t have to keep filling for each load genius! love it!

Good but not the best. I have this dishwasher for a year now and all the features were working fine using the app, but few months ago one of the features(utensils)just disappeared out of app and won’t show up anymore. Very frustrating because only with the app I can use that feature

Cannot make coffee. What a useless integration for an automatic espresso machine. Can do silly things but it make a coffee from the app. Still have to get out of bed and press a button, why even have an app?

Latest update bricked my Opal.. Todays March 3rd update connects to my icemaker but shows it as off and then screen goes blank when you click the on button. Congrats, programmers, you made a simple on/off program completely screwed up. Bravo.

Poubelle. Rien fonctionne Impossible de rejoindre le réseau…

Sabbath mode. How can I turn off Sabbath mode?

Needs work. I'm not impressed. Out of our 5 rather expensive appliances I was only able to connect 1 after hours of trial and error.

Stopped getting notifications. Is the push server still working? My washer and dryer haven’t sent notifications for a while. Everything is turned on in the app and phone settings.

Constantly crashing. Worked for about a year then I stopped getting notifications and now after trying to update it the app keeps crashing. Please fix it!

Constant disconnection. Amazing idea to have an appliance I can access remotely, helps with meal prep except every time I want to use it I have to uninstall and reinstall repeatedly to connect my appliance. Please fix the connection bugs!

Y. 🤮⛔️⛔️😶‍🌫️📱💳💰

L’appli sur l’Apple store dit que c est en français. Edit: 3 years of complaints and still no French translation Says a lot about the programmers ( and cie ) and how come Apple lets this false advertising go through. Anglais, espagnol et italien mais pas de français, Dear Haier how hard is it to update this app to support french? Please do. The appliances this app controls are sold all over, including at least 10 million french speaking people in North America.

Thermopompe. Short cut non disponible

Gill. Pas capable de faire les mise à jour Pas capable De contrôler les temperature

Won’t connect. Been trying for one year I’ve had the dish drawer. Still won’t connect. I have 5g new router. It’s near the dishwasher too. Still no connection

Mauvaise publicité. L’application est uniquement en anglais et spanish aucune option français malgrer qu’il est indiquer ici sur Apple store .

Horrible App. Had difficulties pairing the app to the wall oven. Had to try at least 20 times. It is not intuitive in any sense. Once it was paired ( completely randomly) the problems continued. The app constantly goes into an endless loop indicating that it is downloading information, despite being able to see some of the oven info in the background. The only time it seems to somewhat work is when the oven is off - not much good to me at that point. Horrible app.

wi-Fi doesn’t connect. Frustrating experience with connecting the Wi-Fi to the appliance for a GE washer and dryer

Useless app. Used this app with cooktop - allows only monitor but not control the stove. Real garbage.

Requires you to lose privacy to work!. It’s unfortunate that this app is required to release my stoves regular ( and well paid for) features from being held hostage . Airfry, convection roast, warming drawer were all unavailable without wifi access and in order to enable wifi I had to use this app, and in order to use this app you have to give it access to information , wifi network and your precise location in order to work. It won’t tell you this but will continue to fail until you turn your privacy and location settings off.

Thanks for the response. I could not log into my account and had a temper tantrum. Still not sure why but now everything is fine. Thanks to SmartHQ service rep who quickly reached out.

Language. Ce site écrit 8 langues et ce n’est pas vraie.

Awful. Spent 4 hours trying to get the app to work with my automatic espresso machine. Tech support sent me in circle and instead of help told me just yo return it. Why can’t the machine just work fully without an app!!!

Absolute Garbage!. My wife and I have both tried to sign up for this data scraping POS app to no avail. Onerous garbage. Almost as bad as the App Store itself!

Good but room for improvement. Really like the app for use with my ge washing machine and dryer. One improvement I would like to see is time remaining on the Home Screen and not having to drill down to see it.

Fantastic Washer/Dryer. I have had my all-in-one washer/dryer 3 weeks. It washes and drys the clothes and does a fantastic job. When the laundry is done and you open your door and take out your clothes they will feel different. They will feel damp, but you just give them a shake and they are day. My brother really wasn’t sure about the machine, but he is very pleased with it. He has even done my laundry for me🤣🤣.if you are looking for a machine to get your laundry done in the GE Profile all-in-one is the most fantastic machine I have used. I have a very small laundry room. So it gives me more space and now I can put a counter on the other side.

Terrible app poor connectivity. I was to get my GE Profile stove to WiFi to use the convection roast feature, this app demanded to know my home address and the took FOUR attempts to connect (I have a degree in Computer Science). The app took 5 mins to connect to my local WiFi even though I was 4 ft from brand new mesh router. In the end I got no benefit from connecting and happy that I entered BOGUS info in the app! Why do you need my phone number, obviously GE made a crappy app and wants to invade my privacy You miss the point it’s not legal to sell a product with features that require personal data, I don’t trust GE with MY phone etc. it was ruled illegal many years ago to even require a warranty card completion. All I need to do is show date of purpose. I DEMAND to know what happened is I drop Wi-Fi connection, do I then loose the Roast Convection feature. If the answer is yes, then prepare for CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

Really bad app, very hard to set up. Well, if you really keep insisting on me giving a review, here you go: Besides the fact that the GE air conditioner is the loudest ac I ever bought and will probably not be used a lot this app made the experience even worse. It’s super hard to set up an account. The password check doesn’t work well, it says your password is approved but it fails to mention there’s a limit on the length. You have to figure that out yourself. Then you get confirmation mails that look like fishing mails, who is Haier, or Gigya-Raas? My machine says GE, so I expect mail from them. Then the WiFi setup is really complicated, the wizard does not help at all. “Is the WiFi light on or blinking?” Well, it’s off, what do I do now? I’ve had to type in the units password at least 10 times before I got it working. I’m a software engineer, that didn’t even help.

App Cannot Remember Appliances. Instead of set it and forget it, this app takes the approach of you do all your customization and set up, and then the app will forget it all for you. If you don’t open the app and give it some attention every once in a while, it gets all sad and morose and vindictive and just loses connection with your appliances. The only advice the app offers is to delete the appliance and and re-add it. When you re-add the appliance, it needs information from a sticker on the back of the appliance, which is super fun to get to. It’s a pain enough on my Opal countertop ice maker, but it would be even more fun on a range or a fridge. If the appliance was built-in I don’t know what you’d do; hopefully you took a picture of the label and can still find it. Then even though you just gave it the information from that label specific to this particular device that was on the account 5 minutes ago, it treats it like it has never seen it before. Had you set up a schedule for your device? You get to do that all over again. Then if you don’t use the app occasionally, which you won’t necessarily have any reason to do, you’ll eventually notice that your appliance isn’t abiding by the schedule anymore. That’s because the app lost connection again. Do it all over again. Such smart, much convenient. Plan on doing this about twice a year.

Cool 😉 App…could be even better!. Never thought we’d ever need an app to monitor and control a refrigerator. Setting up and connecting our new GE Profile French Door refrigerator to the SmartHQ App and our WI-FI network was pretty easy. The layout of the main control screen is well designed but could be better with some much needed enhancements, most notably: instead of just displaying the selected temperatures for the three compartments, why not also show the actual temperatures for each compartment too. Also, under Energy Usage, you can’t see the total amount if you go back to a previous day or week, as it only shows the energy usage for the current day.

Update: app works now. Update: now the app works. They have fixed the password issue. I do love this app. It’s very convenient. Previous review: I used to be able to use the app for my ge washer. My husband and I both had the app. I didn’t realize that it had updated. He was using his. I kept trying to connect to the washer and kept getting to the last step. When I try to enter my WiFi password, the app will bounce and not allow me to enter it. I uninstalled and reinstalled thinking it would work. No go. Same issue. I asked my husband to disconnect. Still no go. Now I’m thinking I shouldn’t have had him disconnect because I think that when he comes back he won’t be able to connect again.

Great Stove!. I cooked on an electric stove for about 40 years, but eight or so years ago I cooked on a gas cooktop, and had great results. Earlier this year I bought a new Gas fired range, both the oven and surface units are gas. This thing (GE Profile) is wonderful! I could’ve imagine needing to control the oven from my phone or tablet, but it mentioned updates to the firmware, so I connected the range to my WIFI. What a shock, but delight, when the first notification went out that the pre-heat of the oven was done! Later, I set a timer for 24 minutes, cooking rice on simmer, and at the end of the 24 minutes my phone notified me. I cannot say enough good about this range. Thank You General Electric! (For my gas range)

Huge miss. GE Profile - Opal 2.0 Ice Maker. Need to have push notifications for low water level.. Love the ice maker but this app is pretty pointless. It can control 3 functions: Power On/Off, Lighting Off/Dim/On, and Schedule. The first two I find easier and faster to control by simply using the buttons on the machine. I don’t have any use for the scheduling feature at all as I like to make several batches of ice ahead of time and store in the freezer. What the devs / product mgr really need to make this app useful is the ability to send a push notification when the water level starts getting low. As it is now, there is no way to tell other than visually checking the machine and often times will forget and then the machine shuts off, which is a drag because it takes a long time for it to cycle back up and start making ice again.

Works until it doesn’t. I’ve had a Monogram Professional Range for just about one year. In that time the app has worked mostly ok except for occasional random disconnects which I have been able to resolve. About a week ago, the range disconnected from the app for no apparent reason and since then I’ve literally tried dozens of times over 3 days to reconnect without success, even with the help of the wifi connection team at Monogram. I’ve turned off power to range at the breaker, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, etc etc. Extremely frustrating since it literally stopped working overnight for no apparent reason. When working the app is handy, it’s nice to be able to preheat the oven remotely, change LED lighting colors and start/stop cooking timers.

Overall- Pretty Good. Removed time feature though…. I don’t use the more advanced features, start the oven before I get home. Change the modes of products based on the location of my phone, etc. However, I do like that the clocks on my appliances are synced and I like that they update automatically. Until recently, I also liked that I could set 24hr time on my appliances… but that option has been removed for the Advantium oven product options. Now have one that shows 10:38PM and one showing 22:38. BTW- I did look for “leave a comment”, “feedback”, or “report an issue” within the application itself. All help options seem to be geared towards appliance issues or repairs, not the application.

Prepare to receive notifications you can’t stop. Overall the app is a 3 trending down. Few things - they’re more focused on selling you more appliances in the app than controlling your exiting appliances. I have a microwave, oven, and cooktop. Near as I can tell I can’t do anything with the cooktop except receive notifications when it’s turned on - which you can’t disable. So what’s the point of the app? I know when I’ve turned it on, I don’t care if someone else has. It doesn’t give me anything meaningful like “cooktop was left on”. I am removing my $2500 “connected” induction cooktop from the app because there is NO BENEFIT TO THE APP. Microwave you can control more such as oven temp (one of those kind of microwaves) and set the time for cooking, I guess if you pop food in and didn’t turn it on frequently until later this would be a value add feature. Notifications when any of the other 4 people use the microwave - constant, annoying, can’t turn off. The app may provide a benefit but with a family of 5+ the constant “microwave is done cooking” notifications are so overwhelming that I’m removing it from the app. Lastly my oven. Again constant annoying notifications when it’s on or has reached temp. I’m sure the timer function also notifies me but I’ve got other more readily available voice assistant timers I use (Siri, Alexa, google). Only benefit here is preheating the oven remotely. That’s handy but I’m weighing the notifications when others are using the oven. You can’t disable them or say “only tell me when it’s done preheating”, that would be too helpful. Overall this app is hindered by notifications that are not wanted. The ability to manage notifications would be extremely valuable. Until then, this is a marketing app and provides very little useful utility and way more annoying behavior. Cost benefit = cut your losses and ditch the app.

It works great!. I bought this washing machine that had been fixed. It took me almost a year and a half to realize that there was an app for this machine. I knew it was a smart washing machine, but I was not aware of how to use it.. Long story short I finally figured out the model and downloaded this app and it’s amazing. Previously many times I would forget that I have wet clothes in the washing machine, but this app reminds me five minutes before it’s done and then as soon as it’s finished washing. it shows how many loads I have done and how much water that was used. I also like the fact that you can add special settings through the app.

Unnecessary location services requirement. As part of the registration process for a new Café range, the app requires location services to be enabled with precise location turned on. I was already annoyed that I had to provide my email address, home address, and phone number to register with the app just to use functionality with my new oven that only works with the app. Then I initially received an error when trying to connect with the oven (wrong network name). Only after calling tech support and trying a few options did we realize it was because I had location services turned on but with non precise location. It’s completely unnecessary to require my location when connecting a new range. I already have to be in Wi-Fi range to the oven on initial set up, and have the password displayed on the oven. Requiring precise location is just a creepy privacy violation. Please change the app to remove the requirement.

Not a lot of options. I have a nice washer and dryer set but the app barely has any options. You can’t start you washer or dryer from the app and you can’t change any settings once either gets going. You can extend you dryer time and that’s it. If you have smart dispense on your washer, you won’t be able to see how much detergent you have left unless you sign up for the tide auto order program. I hate that....this is not something sponsored by tide, it’s a feature of the GE machine. I should be able to see what’s left without signing up for a delivery program. Please fix this and make more interactive features in the app. Other than watching what cycle you’re in and cutting things off, it doesn’t have a purpose. Disappointed and expected better features.

Very easy laundry. Can’t say enough good about it. Fill up the detergent reservoir and then just throw in your clothes, come back and they are done that simple. I do keep the lent filter clean and it stays after you about that part so I clean it every time even though it’s never very full of lent after one load. Also I had to get a small vacuum tube like for a computer or small spaces just to reach in and clean the fins on the dehumidifier I’d say that’s a must as more than should slips past the filter seal , that may be something they need to work on. at least they make it somewhat accessible for cleaning .

More frustrating than it should be. I have 3 issues with this app at present, including being unable to submit feedback to them! 1. Everytime I launch the app, it asks for Bluetooth access. This needs to go immediately. I denied the request initially because none of the appliances I have connected require bluetooth and it repeatedly asking for access is just obnoxious. 2. Add some sort of “check for and apply firmware updates” button. I pretty much only launch this app when I need to actually use the appliance and I don’t have the time to apply an update at that moment, so I say “later” to the pop up. When I go back to apply the update, I cannot figure out how to manually trigger that update; it seems to only ask to update when I launch the app again about 24 hours after the last time I told it “later”, which is usually exactly when I actually need to use it again and again don’t have time to apply an update. 3. The “Feedback” submission is broken. After I fill it out and hit “submit”, nothing happens. The button appears to press but it stays on the same screen, with everything still filled out, and literally nothing indicates that anything was submitted.

This app is terrible too. I have the GE smart AC. Everything was perfect and everything worked well until they decided to crash the other app and apparently move to this one (which you only found out from reading the hundreds of one star reviews). This one is absolutely terrible too. First, it’s ugly. It’s so ugly. I’ve never seen a more disgusting selection of colors and I truly hate to even open it. Second, it’s basically useless as well. I’ve lost several functions of my AC now, such as the geofence. I can’t set a schedule at all. Every time I try to save one, it creates something completely different. The point of spending more money for a smart AC was to be able to control it while away from home, and they’ve decided to make their apps suddenly so terrible you can’t do that. I’m truly disgusted. I’ll never buy another GE product if I can help it.

Dysfunctional app when used with Cafe Affetto espresso machine. This app is not intuitive and barely works at all with the Cafe Affetto espresso machine. It states that you can adjust the brew temperature of the machine. As of January 2022 you cannot change the brew temperature because there is no setting for that in the app. In spite of that it clearly states that the brew temperature can be changed. It cannot. The MyCup setting is supposed to allow you to choose either Ristretto, Doppio, Triple or Red Eye and the ability to adjust the Grind Time, Espresso Volume and Brew Temperature. In fact, you cannot change the brew volume for anything except the Ristretto and the options for that are .25, .50, .75 and 1.0oz. But no matter which volume you select, the setting is not honored by the machine and you only get .25oz of espresso. Again, no setting for Brew Temperature. The MyCup options for Doppio, Triple and Red Eye have the settings for Grind Time and Espresso Volume but you can't change anything and the default is 5.5 sec Grind Time, 1.0 oz Brew Volume. Again, no setting for Brew Temperature. But the volume actually delivered is only .25oz. The app is a good reason not to choose the Cafe Affetto machine since that app is the only way to in theory adjust the Grind Time and customize the MyCup settings. But it fails at both those tasks and is therefore useless, making the Cafe Affetto not as customizable as advertised.

Total clunker. This app is worthless. Unfortunately after spending thousands of dollars on a profile induction range, this app has made it difficult or impossible to use of several features on the stove, including the precision cooking mode. I am very technically savvy but it took nearly an hour on tech support to connect to the stove to begin with. Turned out some recent iPhones inexplicably can’t pair with the stove but others can. Kudos to the support team for patiently working through this with us… but it really should just work. Okay, let’s try this out. Except the app freezes up any time we try to access the precision cooking function. And yes, we’ve tried it on all our iPhones. Honestly, I can’t figure out why anyone would want a “smart” stove but if all of the high end appliances are connected the key features should really work through the appliance directly.

I’m sorry if you got suckered into this too. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any cooking appliance. The appliance itself will constantly lose connection to WiFi. Some times it will take days of multiple attempts to reconnect. The updates to the actual appliance will render it completely useless. I’ve had my wall oven for 3 years. In that time, 2 updates have completely eliminated at option to cook with it on the appliance itself until another update comes through. The app updates are 50/50 as well. This most recent update completely disconnected me from my oven, which I can’t use without the app because the last oven update has once again hidden all the cooking options. Now I can’t use my oven at all because the options on the oven are gone and the app won’t connect to my oven. I really hope you didn’t get suckered into any of these products. And if you did, may god have mercy on your soul because you are screwed.

Ok but could be better. I have 3 units in my home. And one day all of them came offline. I had to delete and add them back on….which takes 30 mins each. Then the next day one of my units go offline again, which then will not reinstall. Wish there was a better or easier way to do this. Also I’m not quite sure how efficient eco mode is yet as it takes the unit 45 minutes to get at the right temperature, mind you I’m setting it at night and not at the hottest time of the day. It works well in that you can cool your room off but monitoring it is a little bit of a challenge.

Issues with Opal 2.0 Ice Maker seen by cloud on app. This app worked great up till around February of this year. Now, every time this app updates with a new version on iOS, it no longer sees my Opal 2.0 but my ice maker is still connected to my network and fine. First, time this happened I had to wipe it and redo it (even in my network). This time I have done everything they say to do (restart the app, I have even logged out restarted the app and logged back in) when the light is solid and it never works. Icemaker is connected and I see it on my network fine but this dumb cloud thing never seems to see it anymore. My parents have the older Opal 2.0 where you entered in info off the back and it never looses it’s connection with the app. But this new version I have (where you set it up by the app scanning for it by Bluetooth) just can’t seem to stay on my account? It’s stupid.

Great features but missing a few I would add.. It is a great feature to be alerted when the dishwasher is done, the oven is preheated, or the timer is done. I also like the ability to start preheating the oven on the way home from the supermarket with a frozen pizza, and also being able to turn off the oven without getting up from the dinner table if I realize it was left on. There are two features I am waiting on, hopefully in a future update without having to buy a new appliance. OVEN LEFT ON ALERT: the other day I used the warmer to keep lunch hot until the kid got home. I didn’t notice that I left the oven on until several hours later. It would be great if I got an alert when the oven has been on for 30-60 minutes without the timer set. 9/10 times that means I forgot. FRIDGE DOOR OPEN ALERT: My Profile fridge was “wi-if” ready. I bought the accessory module to make it “Smart.” I fully expected to get an alert if the door is left open but haven’t seen one yet. Generally a great feature to have some Smart features to control and get alerts from your appliances. I am actually looking forward to getting a washer that alerts me when it’s time to switch out the clothes!

Glad I made the switch to the all in one washer combo. I am so happy we made the leap to the all in one washer! Absolutely over the moon about it. I know some reviews stated it was noisier than regular washers but having front loaders before, the spin cycle is usually noisier since the RPM’s are higher. And it is actually quieter than when both my maniacal washer and dryer were both going. No more going off balance! Fits everything I put in it being a full size. Feels like I’m doing less laundry even though I’m not. Put a load in when I go to bed and when I wake up, it’s done! I have no basement so my laundry is in my kitchen. With the dryer gone, it frees up space for a new cabinet!

Terrible if you have a family, great if you live alone.. It would be great if you could set up individual profiles for a family using one dryer. I get notifications for everyone’s laundry and it is the worst. I’m not sure why so much effort is spent on other functions of the app when the laundry portion still has lots of bugs. It’s great if you are the only one using the app but if everyone uses the dryer then you are getting every single notification for every person that does laundry. Please add a way to distinguish between my laundry and others so I don’t have to be interrupted by notifications that are not for me. ie user profiles and when you press start on the dryer it triggers the app to ask which profile is using it then it sends notifications just to the selected profile.

Going in the right direction.. In short, I would prefer the App to use WiFi after the initial setup rather than being bothered with having to turn on Bluetooth all the time to communicate with the appliances. The refrigerator temperature area is a bit confusing. Is it possible for the App to indicate the current temperature of the designated areas that you are able to control? The middle drawer was left open and even with the network properly configured, I did not get a notification of the drawer being left opened. Kinda kills the point of having WiFi other than services. It indicates the temperatures that the areas are set for rather than informing me of the current temp so I could decide if any items needed to be removed or not. A report log of the hourly temperature would be a great improvement to the software.

Weak Effort. Ok you’re a techie and that’s why you have the app. Past that this app is nearly worthless. I have it connected to my oven, you have to press “remote” on the oven to activate. Ok I can handle. But then if you don’t use the feature within 12 hours or you open the oven door it turns off. So why even offer this feature? It should allow access all the time, at least when the remote feature is enabled. Whenever I want to use the app and the feature is disabled. Who remembers to turn it on every morning in case you want to use later that day? And don’t work late because it shuts off in 12 hours. Like I said worthless attempt to be hi-tech. Haven’t figured out if any benefit for dishwasher or fridge. I think it’s GE just trying to get marketing data without any real value. Unless knowing your filter or rinse side needs replacement. I’m sure they’re ready to sell you.

Nice. I’ve really been enjoying this app and remotely being able to control and monitor my window unit both on and off my WiFi. I did have to preform a reset about a week into having it setup but haven’t had an issue since then. I live in a tiny home that’s close cell foam insulated so it doesn’t take long for it to be cooled. I can turn the unit off while working then remotely turn the AC back on on my way home if needed so it’s nice an cool when I walk in. Also being able to monitor power usage is another great feature. I’ll admit I was skeptical about a window unit with WiFi an originally thought it was a dumb idea, but GE made me a believer. It’s well thought out and very user friendly.

Seems to work well…now.. When I first installed the app it immediately had an update, early February. I let it up date and then started looking at it. Every time I clicked the Download option the app would close. Tried it again today 2/25 and the download option is working and has actual options, which it didn’t before the first update. Haven’t tried them out yet though. I would like to see more options for the Flex Dispense. Only shows detergent and vinegar and nothing I’ve searched for brings a result. I’d like to add Clorox 2 or Oxi in there and have it dispense when appropriate. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Overall, best feature and only real use I’ve found for the app is the alerts that let me know the wash is done.

No sign of QA in sight. Interface was badly written, clearly a rushed product. Set up account and I as unable to log on even after resetting password 4+ times Tried calling support but they was sent directly to a voice msg telling me to call again during business hours, despite being well within their stated hours. For a simple home appliance app that extracts and sends usage information to GE via the internet, this whole process has been absurdly complicated for no other reason than lazy and un-maintained programming Update: tried making a diferente account with a different email and the log on errors persist asking to reset my password (which I tried again to no avail) if the server authentication process is this bad, what confidence does this give us, the consumers, in regards to the security they’re supposed to provide for the data their products send and collect over the internet

Almost there. The app works well enough but their password stuff is clunky. I replaced my phone and have to start over with the log in. I can’t remember which e-mail address I used so I check my wife’s phone and while she is logged into the app, there’s no way to look at or edit the account info with out providing the user name and password. (Are you kidding?) Mess around for 45 minutes attempting password resets, their e-mails generate 5+ minutes after the request, so slow process. If you put in the wrong email you get to wait 5 minutes to then receive a welcome to a new account email. Oh and the password reset email? Yes you will get both a new account and separate reset email. Guys, it’s an air conditioner, not international banking. How about allowing facial recognition login?

App Issues (messages/settings disappear quickly). Hi, I went in to check my cycle (running wash and a dry). I notice sections pop up on the app for each respective device (washer or dryer) and then quickly disappear. Washer had a section near usage (not a pop up) to Connect to Alexa and quickly went away. There was a section for water station, detergent tracking, connect cycle and others when viewing the washer but it quickly goes away. The same with dryer. Settings under/near usage had washer link, my cycle settings, etc and it quickly vanishes. I took video and some screenshot to show you. Did updates on machines and iOS app shows up to date. Why can’t I see water temp of my cycle, etc.? Under usage it just shows number of cycles that day and what setting (normal, bulky, delicate, rinse and spin, etc) and no further details. Help!! What am I missing?

Useful and in need of improvement. We got this app to enable our new Hestan Cue pan to work with our range. We are enjoying the control that it offers, but getting used to it was harder than it needs to be. Pros: the precision cooking that this app makes possible, and the recipes and suggestions that it offers. Cons: instructions for syncing the pan with our range were not clear; it took quite a while and some persistence before we figured out how it was supposed to work. And the recipes are difficult to follow — not because of ingredients or technique, but because of the way they are written into the app. Having to click through all the successive steps one by one (some of which provide no information at all!) in order to figure out what’s going on is simply ridiculous.

Invasive. I had to reset my unit due to changes in my network configuration. Now when I attempt to do automation, the app is trying to force me to give it my home address, which I don’t want to do. I have no interest in using the location-based automations and only want to put my air conditioner on a schedule to reduce electricity consumption. I can’t even find the option in automation to use a schedule anymore, even though it says it should be there when you click on that tab. I’m tired of companies trying to force me to give them information that they sell to advertisers. Particularly when it’s regarding a feature that I have no interest in using. Stop being creepy and trying to force me to give you personal information that you don’t need and just let me use the feature that I bought the product for.

Why?. This app is one step from useless and is very confusing Takes 5 mins to connect the washer. The instructions ask for a he module id which isn’t on the label (actually is the last 4 digits of the upid). Then asks for a password (which is the MAC address). Then connects sometimes. Then you go to the dryer and it asks the same information but is labeled correctly. 5 more mins to connect. As soon as the dryer is connected the washer disconnects and no longer communicates. The solution is to remove the devices and start again or delete the app. Basic problems: The app doesn’t remember the Wi-Fi password or networks you must enter for each device. (A pain) No way turn a device remotely only program it and download. (Never got that far) It’s obvious that testing was limited and not well thought out which each team working oblivious to the other. (washer, Kentucky and dryer, Mexico). All in all, other than the three new wash cycles that are unlocked I don’t see the point with such minimal features. I never got to try the cycles because the washer was blown out each time the dryer was connected. Grade school implementation by a team that gave little thought to how it should or could be used. So sad. I normally don’t enter negative reviews, but this app earned it.

GE u-shaped AC. ECO mode is basically useless. Turn it on, set it to set temperature, hits set temperature, turns off. Great, that’s what it’s supposed to do. However, good luck getting it to turn back on to cool the room back down once it goes above set temperature. Have it set to 66° in ECO. When you first turn it on, it’ll cool it down to the set temperature and shuts off. Woke up sweating because it was 71° in room, and AC never kicked back on. Have to turn it off and on again for it to cool back down to set temperature. I bought these for the eco mode function (I have 3, and none work the way it’s supposed to in eco mode, they all do the same thing, so it’s not just 1 unit not working, it’s all 3). What’s the point of ECO mode when it doesn’t work? Why don’t the units turn back on in eco mode when it goes above set temperature? Probably the worst appliance I’ve ever bought with eco mode option!

Smart Home. We recently purchased a new home with all of our appliances being smart. This is a first for us, my husband likes that it reminds me when clothes are ready to switch over, lol. I love remote preheating my oven, and I also enjoy knowing when my stove is turned on. I have little hands in the house. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the app not displaying the current temps in the fridge, and a notification for open fridge door would be nice! I also had to switch our internet, and that meant a tiresome switching of wifi with each individual appliance all over. If we could switch wifi in the app, and then all the appliances switch seamlessly, this would be perfect! I'm very happy with everything otherwise!

Can’t control, doesn’t send notifications. Ever since shifting to this new app, my GE washer/dryer no longer send me notifications (yes, I’ve given the app permission on my phone) or let me control them remotely. I can see usage data, but no ability to control them. Basically every reason you’d want a “smart” washer/dryer is completely nonfunctional with this new app. EDIT: I got a friendly response from someone after I posted this who told me a number to call. I talked with a super friendly agent, and all it took was deleting the app and reinstalling it to resolve the issue. Now it works like it should, and I bumped the stars up to 5.

Stop with the Recipe Card Pop Up. Seriously, stop with the recipe card pop-up every single time I open the app. Your app knows I only own an air conditioner. I do not own any GE cooking things. I wish I could turn off the pop-up. Sometimes it goes away for a day, but that’s about it. You forced me to use the app because the remote that came with the air conditioner is absolute trash. Super cheaply made barely works. The app is great for the air conditioner, but the pop-up needs to stop. I understand if I own cooking appliances from GE but I don’t. I just want to lay down in bed and turn my air conditioner on and off not have to hit on a pop-up every single time. I know it’s silly to complain about, but that is all I use your app for. The LG app for my appliances does not have any pop-ups, pushing me to use certain features in their app.

This is an ad and recipe app, not an appliance app. The $5000 stove that I purchased as a solo parent needed to have a way for me to control it when out to have dinner ready to be served when I get home. All of their recent updates have focused solely on the AI recipes which are as weird as AI photos, odd pieces of computer art that are only loosely based in things people do. Oh, and they also updated it so they can show you ads at the top of every screen. There has been no updating of the functions of the oven/stove. You cannot turn off your stove remotely if you’ve accidentally left it on. It should have the capability to make personalizing your appliance display, but as I said, this is not an appliance app. They’ve bundled too many appliances into this and it makes it worthless for someone who just wants to get home to a warm, home-cooked meal.

Missing some features, also unnecessary cloud connection. Three main gripes: 1. My GE equipment can set the heat to 62 via the panel on unit, the app can only set it to 64 at the lowest. 2. I can’t schedule heat. This seems like a HUGE oversight. I can schedule “cool”, “dry” or “energy saver” events but not heat. 🙄 3. I don’t know why the AC was built to require a cloud connection. It makes sense to push updates, but I should be able to connect directly to the device via my home WiFi service, instead of having to route from my phone to GE servers to the device. This means if the GE servers go offline (which happened during my first week of use) or your ISP loses service, you cannot control the device from your phone. You could if everything was handled via a local Wifi network, and the response would be less laggy too.

Very disappointing. Always freezing. Limited capabilities.. Update from 1 to 3 stars. I’m glad to have a response from the developer. I hope they do make these updates… I believe this may be the first time I’m reviewing an app. After 16 months, I feel it’s time. The app is always freezing. You can’t do very much at all for a washer and dryer. You can’t remotely turn on tumble care for the washer, even though you can turn on wrinkle care for the dryer. Very limited what you can do besides remotely start the machine (after pressing the button on the machine). All updates are for completely different, unrelated appliances. How many times do I need to see the updates they’ve made for air fryers? Except for the notifications about my wash, the app is totally useless.

Bad UX and Privacy Invasion. EDIT 11 March 2022: I figured out the problem by reading another review. This app refuses to continue with the washer/dryer pairing process unless you enable precise location. Not only is the idea of requiring house-number-specific location information totally unnecessary, but it’s a huge invasion of privacy. I don’t trust anybody, let alone Haier, to have unfettered access to my exact location to *do laundry*. The use of my location (precise or imprecise) isn’t at all addressed in App Privacy Report. It should be. Furthermore, the developers privacy policy explicitly states that “the use of location-enabled features are opt-in and you have control over your participation”. What part of holding the setup of this app hostage to precise location is “opt-in”? Lastly, what’s up with the constant request to use Bluetooth? I don’t have any Bluetooth enabled appliances. I do believe this is yet another way to collect and profile location-based data. It would be trivial to ask for this only when it’s needed based on the appliances configured. So in summary: 1. Bad App design that fails silently unless you, 2. Enable invasive use of precise location, and then 3. Get spammed for Bluetooth access. Do better. ————————— Original Title: Unable to set up GE Washer / Dryer The app walks you through all the steps to get your appliance connected, including a step where you join the appliance’s WiFi network to send over settings. This step fails because the app doesn't prompt for local network access and gets stuck. I’ll change my rating when the app actually works.

Was great when it worked. I’ve had my washer and dryer for a year and recently no matter what I do, one or both will continually say offline. Even though the wifi is still linked in the unit itself and it’s not flashing. I restarted my phone and they both came back on for a minute then the washer went back offline. Tried to use the like smart hq chat feature and then the washer came back but the dryer went offline. Again the unit itself still has wifi. So I’m not sure what’s wrong with the app but it’s been garbage the last month. Everything is updated and there’s no software updates to do, please fix this. It’s annoying. I’ve deleted the washer and added it again 6 times the last week and it still will say offline 5 minutes after adding it!!! And it’s still saying fine on the unit. Ugh!!!

GE Profile French Door with Convertible Drawer. This App is just OK but could be so much better. I did not buy this frigerator because it had Wifi but its an added bonus to monitor temps when away. But thats the issue because it only displays the set temperatures in all 3 zones and not actuals. It will only send a notification when the “temperature is too high”. Also you can only set Turbo Cool and Freeze modes from the app. Not the Apps fault but my older GE Profile side by side had a button on the control panel for everything. Now they reduce control panel functionality (or have to use multiple nonintuitive key pad presses) and put the paid for premium features only in an App. Also when you open the App it shows the state of the consumable filter. It should have a setting to show the temperatures on the home page.

I liked the Comfort-GE app better. First of all, I wasn’t even aware that the old app had been replaced with this new app. Guess that explains why the old app started crashing every time I opened it. Now on to this new app-it looks cool, but there’s some things wrong with it. First, it doesn’t have a “ROUTINES” option where I can set my window A/C unit to whatever temp when I’m home, away, sleep, or vacation. The old app offered this whereas this new one doesn’t. Secondly, the “SCHEDULE” options won’t let you delete an unneeded schedule-all it does is state “there is an issue-please try again later”. That’s annoying as he**! You can’t even toggle it off and actually SAVE it. Also, there’s no location option either, which would coincide with a ROUTINES function. This app could be really good…but it looks cool…..guess that gets the 2 stars.

App Malfunctioning. This app worked for a few months. When we stopped receiving alerts/notifications for our Monogram appliances, I troubleshot the issue. Opening the app took me directly to a new terms and conditions acceptance page. The problem here is the accept button is not functioning. At this point, no other feature on the app works. I cannot communicate with any support staff. The app shows up to date in my App Store. There is no one to contact to fix the issue. If you click on any link on the App Store page it takes you to GEs website. We even scrolled through the terms and conditions in hopes that would make the accept button function. It doesn’t. We are at a loss. The app simply stopped working and I have no idea how to correct it.

App upgrade messed up my washer. I am very frustrated with this app. I have the washer that has the me water station option on the app. The last update deleted that option and I was no longer able to use it. I called and it was escalated. Eventually the water station was added back to the app but it is not connecting to the washer. I told the person it still isn’t working. He told me the engineers were still working on it and closed the ticket. I was hoping with this latest update it would have been fixed, but it isn’t. How long am I going to be without this feature before I get it back? You have now idea how much I depend on the water station and to have it taken away like this a devastating blow to me. I need this function back but I doubt Ge cares about this as they have blown me off before.

New washer. The smart HQ is very nice. However, I cannot recommend this washer. It has already cost me. $600 and it is 1 1/2 years old. I understand after talking to other people these machines have a lot of problems.. I already needed a new motherboard and I don’t use the washer a lot. There’s just the two of us.. I hope you have better luck than I did. I’ve always done well with . GE appliances, I have the stoves in the microwave the oven and the cooktop everything it’s GE I love it. So I opted for the washer and dryer. I am very disappointed. I love how it works, I wish it had just one just spin alone cycle.. My other washer had that and I miss that. I however purchased this machine and so I will have to live with it and pay all the expenses it will have. I am regretting this purchase.

GE 850 washer. I really like this GE washer that I bought. It’s the 850 and what I really like is the ability to link the washer to my phone app to see when the washer is done. Makes it handy when I get busy and forget about the clothes. I also like the smart dispenser to where you fill it and don’t have to refill each load. You can turn off smart dispenser and put in a different kind if you choose so you don’t have to use one kind every time. There is an autodose program to reorder detergeant so as not to run out and your machine determines when it’s time to reorder. What I don’t like is that it shakes a lot during spin. Sounds like it’s going to fall apart or run away. I checked to see if it’s level and it is still, amazingly. Would still recommend.
