BEST GAME EVERRRRR!!!. This game was amazing and had no lags which I was very surprised. Many games usually had a ton of lags but not this one. When I first got this game, I was addicted to this game and played it nonstop, it had many songs such as songs from demon slayer or dragon ball z. I really recommend this game for people who never played it and hope this review helps! !!!GIVE THIS GAME A OSCAR!!! 😱😱😱

Fun but really short experience.... It’s a lot of fun for the few songs on there but as of this review I only saw maybe 30 or so tracks? Played all the good ones in less than an hour and it didn’t seem like anything new unlocks. Will there be updates to include more songs maybe? Or anything to encourage playing more? I liked this enough to want more stuff to play through.

Game is super fun, but needs more songs. This game is super nostalgic for me so it’s nice to have one of my favorite games that I play on my phone instead of on a console game. But there’s only a very small selection of songs (around 20 I think), and I only knew a few of the songs available. I would love to see more songs available, particularly ones from popular animes like My hero academia, fire force, jujutsu kaisen, lucky star, death note, etc. Over the game is fantastic and very fun regardless.

Disappointing…. The game itself is super fun, love the arcade and switch versions so when I saw the app I had to get it. The controls are good and the song selection is okay (in my opinion). However after like a week or two the game just stopped playing. The loading screen comes on but once it finishes loading the screen turns black :( I’ve tried reinstalling the app but nothing I’ve tried has fixed it. Really sad that I can’t play so 3 stars for the technical difficulty but still a great game if you can play it.

Great game! Would love other game songs too.. I love this game, I love playing it and I loved playing it on other devices before! I’m so glad it’s on the iPhone now, but I do have one problem, there is a taiko no tatsujin mini game in one of the games in the “Yakuza” series and I think it would be amazing to add a Yakuza game karaoke song into this, that would be a dream! INCREDIBLE. I LOVE taiko no tatsujin, and this is a near flawless conversion, but I do wish that there were more western music tracks (sorta like the ps2 taiko drum master)on account that 90% is converted straight from the Japanese games. BUT, the interface is extremely clean, there are many, many music tracks, customization options, and unique designs. It is a near perfect game, and I have sunk so many hours into this, it just needs a few minor tweaks

Only 32 songs on a subscription? Lol..... As much as I love this I wouldn't have a problem if this were like $10 or better yet $5 one time. Honestly I've really wanted a taiko game on mobile just so I can easily pick it up when I have time at work on the toiler or poppin a squat outside but honestly I can just hold myself over til I get home and I can just turn on my ps4 and play the last one that was still somewhat underwhelming in it's song selection, but I digress. On the song selection though; a lot of this game shares it's assets and most of it's song list with that one, so...lol....

Really fun, but needs more content. This game is really enjoyable and as my introduction to the taiko franchise i like it a lot. But it would really benefit from more songs being added. I would rate it a 4, but as of a few days ago (August 2021, after updating), the game stopped working entirely on my phone even when other apple arcade games worked fine. So my inability to play it as of late has knocked it down to a 3.

Great game but needs a few tweaks.. Always fun and any new version is just as fun! Sadly I don't see local multiplayer for more than two people at a time and that would make this a 5 star win all day! The other thing is it doesn't cast to the Apple TV you get sound but no picture. If you could use an iPhone or iPad as the drum on the TV, magical. Hopefully someone sees this and makes a few updates.

Great! But needs more songs.. I’ve been a big taiko fan for a while, I’m not huge on rhythm games but the style and easiness of entry is always nice with these titles. One gripe I have about the mobile version is the lack of songs, which I can sorta understand due to it being free under Apple Arcade, but I’d be more than willing to buy a complete version with more songs.

Great Game in General Available on Mac. This game is always great to play for anyone into rhythm games. For those who are unfamiliar to this game, it lots of Japanese songs like pop and anime, and more songs. Unlike the current console versions of this game, this game supports high refresh-rate monitors, allowing for a smoother experience, potentially strengthening your accuracy on htting notes!

Best rhythm game???. As the title says this game definitely is the runner-up for one of the best rhythm games of all time I’ve never played the original version however this game perfectly translates into the mobile spectrum with plenty of levels not only that but this game is filled with Japanese culture overall I give it a 5/5

Good game but. its a really good game! its got some really good songs on there too! like alien alien or angel dream. but in the anime section they should put anime openings from animes that are currently trending. like my hero academia, demon slayer, toilet bound hanako-kun or even haikyuu!!. but other than that its a good game and i totally recommend it. just again take the animes i listed and put their openings in the anime section! also i hate the fact that my little pony is in the anime section. my little pony isnt really anime like that is it? its more just any other cartoon than an anime.

Obsessed but can improve. I found this game on Xbox and I feel like there are pros and cons to both as I have seen. On Xbox, customization options are a lot stronger with your character and you can get coins to buy more songs, outfits, and drum sounds thru a shop but there’s no shop on the phone app. Also, where’s the added music packs for the phone version? On Xbox you can buy more song packs from studio ghibli, Naruto, dragon ball, etc. But the phone app has more songs than the Xbox version? It’s just a wierd set up. As far as the actual game itself goes, it’s wonderful and I love the fact there’s more songs to play, just with the store was still on the phone app and I could buy even more songs

good but a few criticisms. I've been a fan of the Nintendo Switch version of this game for a while, so I came into this with high expectations. The graphics and sound quality were very impressive, almost identical to the original. The controls were also easy, although I wish I could have skipped the tutorial in the beginning. There were significantly less songs than in the original, but that's to be expected, since this game comes with a 5$ monthly subscription, while the Switch version is 60$. I also noticed there were songs that you normally have to pay for in add-ons, such as Tale of Six Trillion Years and a Night, which was a nice surprise. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any session skills, or at least to my knowledge there weren't. If there were, I didn't notice. I enjoyed the character customization feature. Overall, it's a nice port, and can be enjoyed without previous knowledge of the game.

Saying what everyone else is saying. It needs more songs or dlc at least. This game is very enjoyable and I've been a fan since I was young but for the amount of songs this comes with. You're better off getting the console variants, they have more to offer. My only complaint is the amount of songs the game offers.

Amazing game! Must get for rythm gamers!. Although there aren’t many songs I still had fun with it, so much that I almost cant put it down, the controls are kinda clunky but you can change those in the settings to use both of your thumbs, overall, get this game it’s a load of fun, although you can beat all the songs in an hour or so

Drum-tacular. Very simple controls, but the various difficulty levels make it easy to learn but difficult to master! Also being a drummer, obviously I like games like this, but this is by far the best rhythm game with all the songs that come with it and the MANY ways to customize your drum character. This one was very well thought out and executed flawlessly in my opinion.

A Great Version of a Classic Rhythm Game. Going into this I just expected a cheap mobile cash in on the franchise, but this may actually be one of my favorite ways to currently play the franchise now that the actual peripheral is so hard to get. The controls are super tight, and the soundtrack is insane. I audibly laughed while going through the songs at how insane the track list is. 5/5, would definitely recommend.

Arcade Exclusive?. I’ve never understood why developers insist on making games arcade exclusive. I’d happily pay $10 for the ability to play this game and “own” it like I do for the switch. Or even to have that as an option to begin with. Because from what I’ve read in other reviews, a lot of folks pay for Apple Arcade exclusively for this game. Not to mention you’re losing money by not doing that. The percentage you would make from arcade doesn’t even remotely compare to buying the base game, and having the ability to purchase song packs down the road, boosting the ability to pay your dev staff for more content, bug fixes, etc. If you make it more like a DLC vs a micro transaction, people are much more willing to buy stuff like that. Wanted to play today, but can’t due to me no longer wishing to pay for Apple Arcade. Not that I can’t I just don’t see the point in paying $7 for a month-month license to play the game. When I could just own it and be done.

Random missed notes. I would love to give this game 5 stars seeing as how it has been my favorite game for over a year now, but as of recently,(about the past week or so) I will tap the screen and the game won’t register it. At first I thought it might just be my device, and I thought nothing of it, but I soon realized none of my other games do this. This is an amazing game that I regularly lose time to(for better or for worse😅), but now the missed notes have caused me to lose point streaks that could have pushed me up the leaderboard significantly. I will always be a loyal fan of this game, but as of right now it is becoming impossible to ignore the points I am losing from this. Other then that, this is an amazing game that I recommend to all of my friends and I always look forward to the next updates. I hope the bug gets fixed soon, so I can play it to its full potential once again.

Pretty good but can use improvement. I know this game has been released on numerous platform but it feels like this version is the one with the least attention. This game is fun but just repetitive. Pros: Fun song choices, cute character (or marshmallow lol) customization, levels are significantly different so each level doesn’t feel the exact same, simple controls Cons: Songs get really repetitive especially trying to unlock things, newer update gives soooo many costumes and not enough different sounds, new song added very sparingly, match up online take forever so you’ll find you rarely match with anyone Suggestions: Song updates maybe biweekly and maybe you can have a little vote for the newer songs idk, faster online match ups or just change the whole online match up, MORE DRUM SOUND OPTIONS LESS COSTUMES All and all the game is fun but it’s something pull play a lot of at first then it almost feels like the piano tile game, you only pick it up if you’re bored. See how well it’s done on other platform and how this version is behind a paywall it’s sorta lack luster.

Just doesn’t compare to the Consoles. Look I know this is on a smartphone but that does not excuse the pitiful amount of songs this game has. There just isn’t enough to keep people interested for more then an hour at most. Free updates can only do so much when you’re paying for a subscription. If you have any of the console versions just play those. Don’t waste your money on this.

I really like it but I hav an idea. I really like it, but i think something that everyone would like is characters, like on the switch. I’d really liked that, and I think other people would like it. You could hav Kirby and other fun characters. It’s kinda boring to play as the same taiko character every time. So can you at least add one? Please? Thx for reading this review! They did it! They added more songs!!. I gave this game 5 stars at launch praising how this is a near perfect conversion of the Nintendo Switch taiko, and that the taiko team should keep adding songs for this to become excellent. I had dropped my review to 2 stars after waiting 2+ months for an update on this game, and there being silence from the developers. This just changed yesterday, as they added a new leaderboard function, 10 additional songs, and gave the community the first official announcement that more songs will be added in the future! I appreciate this greatly as I pay for Apple Arcade primarily for this game. Thanks for giving us more content, if I could make a suggestion, a few songs every month would go a very long way versus a big song drop every 3 months. Regardless, this is a 5 star game for me again and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fun and challenging rhythm game.

Good Buy, but lacking in some areas. I am relatively good at the game, and I've been searching for a mobile port for a long time. It's definitely worth the price now, and I'm having a lot of fun with the game; but I have some criticisms. 1) Please add more songs! The song choice now feels limited. Hopefully more will be added as the game updates. I would hope these new songs aren't in the form of paid DLC since the song choice now is so limited. 2) Give points for online matches! I enjoy playing online, but it feels like a waste to play and get nothing out of it. Especially when there are so many costumes to unlock. That's really all, otherwise the game is very fun and worth the price! : D

Worth Buying. Downloaded the game after getting my free Apple Arcade subscription with my new phone so I could have something to play when I was bored, and this game blew my expectations. Game has appealing visuals and has fun charts that keep me on my phone forever playing it. I 100% recommend anyone considering getting this game to get it. It’s worth buying Apple Arcade for. ^w^

The game that keeps me subbed.. Taiko is a pretty much perfect series of games, and the arcade entry is a fantastic place to start out. Great touch and controller support, still being updated with new tracks as of last month, a fantastic song selection for newcomers and vets alike, especially for kids who like disney tracks, and tons of outfit pieces and leaderboards to grind towards. Truly a must play for all Arcade Subscribers.

I love this game. If you are on the fence. Get off! You should not be on fences, it’s dangerous. Just download the game you won’t regret it. Sure it would be great if it had all of the songs from the switch version but I love being able to pull my phone out of my pocket and play a quick game of Taiko. I just wish I had better rhythm.

One of the Best Music games on mobile. Taiko is already one of my favorite music games of all time and to see it come to mobile is amazing. The song list is great although they could add more songs besides this it is amazing, being able to play one of my favorite music games on the go.

Amazing game. I love this game so much. I just love playing any rhythm game I can find. The one thing I do wish this game had is more songs based on anime shows. Some of the songs that I would love to see on this game is some my hero academia songs like The Day or peace sign. Another song that I would love to see are the Attack on titan songs one of my favorite songs is Red Swan. Other than that the game is 100% amazing and fun to play.

Awesome game!. I love this game so much, it’s great for people who like rhythm games or music games, I love it’s large amount of songs and how there are multiple difficulty levels! I also love how if you don’t get any bad notes or miss any notes than it doesn’t just say you cleared it, it gives you a gold crown for perfect. I also like the ability to customize your taiko animal thing and give it accessories! I love the treasure box thing after you complete a level, you get closer to getting a treasure box even if that feature is only temporary (if it is only temporary) what I’m trying to say is this game is amazing and I love it!

Multiplayer lacking. First, this game is loads of fun. Like others, I wish there were more songs available. I have very little critique about the game itself or how it translates from console to mobile. The graphics are appealing, the gameplay is loads of fun, without the smaller issues I have with it, it would be a perfect game IMO. My biggest issue lies with the multiplayer feature. The gameplay is great, but it takes FOREVER to match with someone. I spend more time waiting for the game to find me an opponent, to the point where I give up after waiting 5+ minutes. It can’t possibly be this difficult to find an opponent? Other suggestions for improvement would be to make it easier to see your stats on a song, like you can do on the console version. I’d like to see more than just my top score on a song, and would like to see the breakdown of accuracy beyond just showing me it at the end of a song. I would also like to be able to control the size of the drum pad for red notes, as it’s easy to go out of bounds. I can’t imagine how annoying it is for those with large hands as my 2 thumbs together have issues, and I have small hands for a female.

I’m happy to say they are adding many songs now and continue to do so! i hope more vocaloid songs and gaming songs are added. i’m a big fan of taiko so seeing this game on the app store was very exciting. it’s very easy to pick up and play and input is pretty accurate. my only issue and is what’s making me rate this at 4 stars is the lack of songs. it is a very limited selection even for base launch. i hope more songs are added soon otherwise i will keep my rating at 4 stars. it has only been two months since release so i understand it will take time to convert maps to the mobile version. please at least include lots of fan favorites!

So much fun omg qwq. Honestly, this is my first taiko drum game I ever played. I have considered buying the switch before, but I then saw this app and thought y'know, test the waters a bit and see what goes from there. And I genuinely love it! The only down side, is the lack of songs however this game has just been released so I'll let it slide ÚvÙ I really hope the company add more songs in the future, especially in the vocaloid section. If you are a newbie for the taiko drum games, I suggest starting with the app first,. Sure there's not much, but it gives you plenty to get used to before you really want to try a real challenge.

It’s great but it can be better. I do enjoy the game and how the songs are really good. I enjoy this game a lot. But I wish there was a story mode or mini games as well as some shop to buy some rare skins. There’s no mission or goal. It kind of lets u play whatever. To spend $4 a month to play this, I expected at least a story mode. The online battles don’t work at all unless your friends play it too (which is rare). Great game, but I wish they had more stuff to do on it.

Very fun and challenging. I give this game a five star rate. It is so 🤩 fun! But hard. Once you learn all the keys, though, you’ll love it too! Great, but... I love this game. It’s so fun! I love playing it. However, sometimes the blue beats(ka i think?) are really hard to hit on the side of the drum. It just makes it really hard to achieve a passing score on most harder difficulties which is kinda eh since on a regular drum on console or other platform, I can usually pass most levels on here with ease. However, here I can’t seem to get any levels past hard on any level(except the really easy ones). I would just recommend to make the area where you can are able to hit for the blue notes a little bigger. Otherwise, great game!

SOS!!!. I have Apple Arcade and when I go to open the game it gets through the loading screen where you see the drum go across and fill up the bar but as soon as that happens the game goes dark and I see it say that you’re logged in to your apple ID but nothing happens after that. I have only been able to open it and play it once but that was when I first downloaded the game. I’ve restarted my phone, I’ve closed the game and reopened it, I’ve reinstalled it, and I still get nothing. If y’all have a solution I’m all ears and for now I’m rating it 2 stars. SOS

I love the game!. This game is the best yet! I just love the way you can play songs even in Japanese. You need to add new songs more often because I love playing new songs. The costumes are cute! But it sometimes won’t let you view the leaderboards. The extreme is sometimes almost impossible and way too frustrating. You can really only do it on the Baby Shark because it gets slow at the end. But still I love playing Taiko pop tap! Thank you so much for all your hard work and making such a wonderful Al to be on Apple Arcade!

Fantastic game - quick match doesn't seem to work. I love this game. I love that it is in Japanese even if I don't understand the voice prompts. It makes more authentic. I love the graphics. Tens of songs to choose from. I wish I had a real drum, like on the original arcade version, to play it with. For some reason not only there is a marked drop in frame rates when trying the Quick Match (both in window and full screen), but I also never get matched to anybody, no matter how long I wait, and no matter what difficulty level I choose. Is this a bug?

Great Game!. I’ve been playing the Nintendo Switch version of this for 5 months and when I found this out, I went nuts and downloaded it very shortly after. This game is a blast but it loses its momentum for some time because of the lack of songs. Songs like 1 2 3, Alola, Undertale Song Pack, and others could be added in an update for free, or as a DLC. This game is generally fun so the only problem I could find was it’s lack of songs, coming on in about only 30 songs.

Best app i have on my entire phone!. Such a great game finally getting an official release on mobile version. Ive got it on my switch and ive been playing for about 2 years now so being able to share play thissl more accessibly is so good. One thing i do have a sort of problem with is the song amount but im pretty sure there will be plenty more songs to come! Great app definitely worth the money on apple arcade!!

One of the best rhythm game franchises!. Wow! Can’t believe Taiko made it to Apple Arcade! For the uninitiated, this is a very popular arcade and console game often played with a drum/taiko controller. You drum to the beat, hitting the notes as they appear on the screen much like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It works well on a touchscreen, although I find my iPhone Max a bit on the large side to play comfortably. It would be much cooler to play this with the taiko controller like in the arcade or the console versions, but I’m guessing Bandai Namco isn’t going to invest that much effort into it. I really hope there’s plans to add more songs to it because that’s definitely a big shortcoming.

A great and accurate game.. I'm a fan of Taiko No Tatsujin, I own it on PS5, Switch, XBOX, and now mobile. I think this is shockingly great for a Mobile version, the controls are good, graphics are good, multiplayer is decent, and overall a great game. This game holds a great amount of difficulty, and other modes incase if you're not great at the game, and modifiers to perhaps make the game more fun. Overall a great game. 👍

Compulsive tappers rejoice. I tap along to everything without even thinking about it. Taiko is a dream come true. Now, instead of, “Matt, stop tapping”, I’m getting graded on my skills. Tsugaru Kaikyu Fuyugeshiki and Don’t Doubt This Love are my two favorite songs. I really like this particular genre of anime art, which only helps- way better than the serious fare. I think this is worth anyone’s time.

I can’t stop. Help.. Ok I downloaded this on a bored whim, and right out of the gate, the tutorial had me enchanted. And now here I am in the full game, not sure of anything that’s being said, but omg it’s so much fun and now I have adorable little costumes for my adorable little drum. Plus there’s like dancing deer and wolfs and now I can’t stop drumming. Help.

Lots of fun but does not compare to console versions. I’ve been a fan of taiko no tatsujin for a long time. I’ve played it on arcade, PS2,ps4,psvita, switch, 3ds, ds, and the Wii/Wii u. Needless to say I’ve played a lot of the series over the years. This game is very fun don’t get me wrong but it could have a lot more in it. Taiko on console has a lot of songs compared to this with some games having over 100 songs total this one has only 32 songs. It seems like they weren’t willing to put much music into this game. Another feature that could have been added is a story mode. At least 3 games have had one and only 2 have been translated for English audiences. The story mode provides a new way to play taiko keeping many entertained. The controls in this game are about the same as they are on the switch version. One thing that’s hard sometimes is hitting the right spot with your finger. A drum size slider would be a very nice addition to the settings just so a person could comfortably play

Pretty Great — Need Taiko Phone Controller. This game is addictive fun. Makes me want to go to Japan and play video games there. Even the easy level is a challenge using a controller. I pray that someone develops a controller like they have for the Switch. I am limited to how far I can go just using a game controller. Anything past normal is a stretch. I might have to buy the Switch and get that version.

Love it!. I came here previously purchasing the rhythm game and RPG on the Nintendo Switch and not expecting much after playing a lot of different rhythm games on mobile. I love this though because it keeps the exact touch screen controls I used when I wasn’t playing with buttons on my console! 5 stars for that.

Sound bug. Absolutely no sound on the game. Retarded my phone even deleted and reinstalled the game and still no sound. Given that sound is a big part of a game like this you’d think this would be fixed but I’m not the only one having this issue either

there’s no sound!. i don’t know what else there is to say. it might be an update or iphone 14 type of issue, but given that this whole game is based on sound, it’s a little hard to justify! otherwise im finding no issues with the game itself (i know they’re working well since i own the game on other phones + switch).

Lacks Songs. The game is pretty good in terms of design and game play. I find it fun to unlock new clothes to customise your drum but the game just lacks songs over all. Many of the songs from the console game or arcade game are not on this app, especially the vocaloid songs. Please add more songs.

No sound!. Don’t know if it’s a bug or not but the app has no sound. Unplayable.

A taste of Japan. Such a waste being locked behind Apple Arcade would definitely pay for a one time purchase directly.

A small let down. Don’t get me wrong, love the game and the play style is smooth. I’ve played Taiko both in real life and on switch but I enjoyed the controls since most of my rhythm games are touch screen. However, they really need to add more songs to this. Less songs than expected. This game is excellent at being a simple but also complicated rhythm game, but there isn’t much option of songs tbh. I’ve have played the website version (rip) and for some reason they have ALOT more songs, this might just be because of like copyright music maybe or that this games region can’t have a lot of songs for some reason. Over all if you are new to rhythm games this is definitely a must try, it’s very simple and you can go easy or super hard with just the simple game. Love it but again wish there was more songs, I still have yet to know if they reward you with songs or if they just add them whenever, but like I think the switch version of Taiko no Tatsujin is a little different to the mobile app.

Love it!. I love Taiko no tatsujin lots. My favourite arcade game on my phone for free. I was tempted to buy the $60 taiko no tatsujin rhythmic festival on the switch, but then I found this. My one suggestion would be to add more songs, because all of the video game songs are from games I’ve never heard of other than Pac-Man and Sonic the hedgehog so it’d be nice to see one like the Pokémon theme in the game. Other than that great game and I highly recommend it. 😊

Needs more songs. Great game as the setup and look of the game is exactly the same as everywhere else. However, please add more songs especially Japanese songs such as the vocaloid range. To be Honest most of the people who plays this game would most likely be existing players and if you want them to stop playing online or on the switch, it need more songs :)

As a semi-veteran to the Taiko no Tatsujin series, having played it on Switch for 2-3 years now and always keeping up with the latest news about the series, this version doesn’t hold up as well as it does on console and arcade. While it is fun, it’s kind of a mediocre game by Taiko’s standards. My main problem is how small the song list is. Sure, more songs may be added in future updates, but compare it to the Switch version, with a starting song list of an average size for a console Taiko game, with more songs being fed to it monthly through DLC. The touch screen controls are fine, seeing as touch screen has been used for Taiko before, like in the DS and 3DS entries. Overall, this game was a bit of a letdown, but I still find it acceptable.

The penalty is way off. The penalty area is so off that I’ve played the game from nds era but this game only brings me the bad memories and is not that forgiving even with 30mins playing with all the settings

Love this game… but….. This game is great to be able to play on my phone or MacBook, however, there absolutely needs to be more music available. I find myself playing the game more on my Nintendo switch, as there are song packs available (I have them all). It’s been 8 months or so since we had any new songs added to this game. Need more songs!

Okay but not worth it in the long run. I used to be able to easily complete level 8 extreme songs on my PC, but this app isn’t even close to how my experience was. When multiple notes appear on screen the FPS drops to like 30 and it becomes really hard to see the notes. The worst thing is that it fixes itself when less notes are onscreen, but as soon as more come the fps drops again and gap in graphics makes me lose my combo. The timing is completely off, even when I turn down the FX volume and adjust it to a negative number. Even the “Adjust notes” feature is pretty bad, since my low fps means sometimes I can’t tell whether I’m too early or late. You also need to adjust the notes position manually to match the hit box which isn’t that bad, but then the song just ends for some reason? And then I have to restart the adjust feature? I know I’m really late, but they definitely need to add more songs too. Too many in the NAMCO section compared to others, especially the VOCALOID section. Overall, a good game if you just want to tap some notes in taiko, but nothing I would bother seriously devoting to. It’s worth investing in a TaTaCon rather than playing this game.

Definitely one of my most played Apple Arcade games. I have another version of Taiko No Tatsujin on a home console, but I feel more inclined to play on my iPad as the tablet works really well for this game. I love the satisfaction of seeing my improvement daily and getting a good grasp of the rhythm. I like the reward system as its pretty good at constantly rewarding you with a huge amount of cosmetics. Simple to play. Very difficult (but rewarding) to master. The song selection is growing to a point where I’m putting really long sessions rotating around, playing all the songs I feel I can master. The tracklist is right now at the point where it reaches some of the retail releases of Taiko (minus the available DLC) and its continually adding more.

i need help with audio. i cant seem to get the audio working. i deleted and dowloaded the game, turned my volume all the way up, messed around with the app settings and device settings. i have audio in other apps so i dont know what is going on

i am loving this game with my controller. incredibly fun. not as simple as i first thought, nor as hard. i really started doing well when i started tapping my foot to the beat, and realized there are quite a lot of syncopated beats (not straight forward downbeats). pro tip: reduce the sound of the drums to like 3 out of 10, so that the music itself is your cue and the drums don’t distract from the timing

Black screen when connected to a monitor/TV. Regardless of external display, it always shows a black screen which makes unplayable in an external device.

Great, but there’s not a lot of music choices.. Long time Taiko player, wanted to give this a try for the iOS. There’s plenty of music that you’ll find in other consoles (i.e. Switch or PS4), however the amount of songs in this app is very limited so it can get pretty boring if you’re wanting to experiment with more music. It’s easy to play through, and you get to unlock and personalize cute costumes for your taiko. Depending on where you are, it may take longer to find someone to battle with online. If there were more songs or if there were dojo challenges, it might be more engaging rather than continue playing on and on and on for not much reward in exchange.

Please add songs more frequently. The lack of updates is driving me to other music games

It doesn’t work smoothly with 120hz device like iphone 14 pro. There are some frame drop with my Iphone 14 pro/ipad pro. Even I enabled the limit frame rate back to 60hz, it doesn’t work as well. However, it works perfectly with my iphone xs. I really love Taiko and I subscribe Apple arcade because of Taiko. Hope this issue can be fixed

I think it can definitely be a good game. Please give a option to disable that voice and only listen to that song OR at least have an option to change the voice

Keeps missing imputs. Constantly the game will not register when I hit and ruin a combo. Especially with big notes, the game (no matter how good my timing is) registers it as two, or nothing at all, at least once per song if it’s even sort of fast. I really enjoy this version of taiko, but it feels impossible to get a full combo let alone a donderful combo on extreme difficulty at all.

No sound. There’s no sound in the game right now, it’s the only app on my phone that doesn’t work so i guess the problem is the game

If you still want to play, try out taiko web, it’s a fan made site with around 100 more songs and good controls (works on mobile and pc). Song suggestions: Night of nights, Megalovania, Bad apple, Don’t say lazy, and overall more variety songs.

bad selection of songs. compared to the online version (which doesn't exist anymore 🥲), it feels like there are few good songs in the game right now. especially for the vocaloid category. there are only 6 vocaloid songs compared to like 15 classical?? plus new songs don't get added very often. i almost never feel like playing this game bc there are only like 5 songs i actually like to play. all i do is check every month or so if they've added new songs. beatmaps already exist for so many more songs i don't understand why they are so slow to add them 🧍‍♀️

Very good game, but a few glitches. I bought this game and was very impressed, although compared to the switch, pc, or web version of taiko, there is very few songs. Along with this, the touch drums sometimes don’t register when hitting jack notes. Would recommend but please add more songs!

Amazing but needs more songs.. Absolutely great mobile version of taiko. I play taiko already on PC with the hori drum and this version is perfect for when I can’t be banging on the drum late at night! All it needs is more songs, hopefully not too expensive as DLC or free updates.

DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ. So I tried to get the game and it just kept loading the button so I restarted my App Store and my phone and it won’t work but I know this is a great game because I have played it on Xbox.

It’s a good game. I can’t really access the other ports of the game, and I’m pretty sure arcades in the area I live don’t have it, so this is my first introduction to the Taiko series. 10/10, but would probably prefer the arcade cabinet.

Daily Dose of Rhythm Action. I adore Taiko no Tatsujin, having first played the PS2 version at a friend’s house in high school. To now have the cuteness and musicality of the game in my phone is a blessing. I hope this game is always in the Arcade and that its song library gets more expansive (but thank you for Evangelion and Totoro! And Butterfly from Digimon!).

Can’t hear sound!. I absolutely love the game. Only issue is that when hitting the note the drum sound does not sound. I tried everything to get the sound back. Music plays fine, it’s just the hearing the drum hit is ruining my experience.

Hopefully Namco releases some type of mini thumb drum controller or allows the use of the actual drum controller in the future! The game is really fun but the lack of songs make the game boring for some people because playing the same song will get boring really quickly it would be better if you add more song. Feel the beat the vocals of each song and the rhythm of each instrument !. Love this game even when it came to console on the Xbox! Very grateful for the developers and every one at each department that made this possible.

Constant stutters and lag on Pro iPhones.. Using a 15 pro max, any time that a touch input is used (and this game has a lot of them) the screen will stutter (especially on faster songs), causing many missed timings (The game does not stutter if a Bluetooth controller is used). I believe it may be an issue inherent to the VRR phones (since this does not happen on my 8 plus) but it may just also be poor optimization on the developer’s end. A very frustrating issue to an otherwise fun game.

It’s just sooooo cute. It’s a good game I play this when I feel I feel I need a challenge and it gives it to me. The characters are also adorable. I love their selection of costumes and color combos.

Touch control finally made great🕹.. The 3x2 new layouts are great if ur used to playing taiko via controllers, and lends much better on iPhones. Drip feeding of songs aren’t the best, but better than average quality of song selection at least, for this series.

Nostalgia. Reminds me of the PS2 version of this game I played during my early childhood years. Songs have a bit of a challenge to them even while playing easy mode which I still like.

Taiko A Go Go. It’s the pure Taiko experience on your phone. Works flawless and has all the charm that comes with the name. It’s a touch bare bones compared to its console counterparts but the occasional update of new songs will ensure it’ll be worth firing up to bang out (har har) a few charts during brief downtimes in your day.

Fun but not a lot of music. I got this thinking it would be similar to the switch version because I love rhythm games and hadn’t invested. I was disappointed to see there weren’t that many songs on there and people frustrated that more aren’t added. All this made me want to do is buy the actual taiko game for switch and cancel my Apple Arcade free trial since this game is the only reason I started a free trial

Disables AirPlay which removes a key reason to play. This game is a communal game almost like karaoke. It’s much more fun to play with an audience. However, for whatever reason, this game disables video over AirPlay once a song starts (but still plays audio through AirPlay.) I get that the video delay may require calibrating but it’s lazy to just remove AirPlay. Can’t be copyright if the music still plays so what gives. Ruins the game for me.

Even better if more songs.. I’m so excited to see Taiko join Apple Arcade. In the past only limited country App Store have Taiko and if you don’t subscribe there only a few song can play. Now with Arcade I can play Taiko without change my App Store country. And hope more songs will be add.

Songs. I wish this game had a better selection of music/songs. I realistic only play 3 songs through this whole game. Every other song seen/ to be out of place and the drum do not really match up with the rhythm of the music/songs. I really enjoy this game tho.

Really fun!. I am a big Osu! Fan on the PC never really got into Taiko but saw this and figured I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed this is a really fun rythm game with a good selection of music and looks like more is being added too! I highly recommend this if you like rythm games!

Pretty much the real thing. Pretty much every arcade in Japan has this game and I was addicted. There’s not a lot of places to play it in person in the states (unless you buy it for console) so I’m satisfied. It could have more songs but I can definitely wait.

A sweet and cute rhythm game. I’ve always been a big fan of rhythm games, but this one takes the whole cake. It has a familiar western theme with a huge adaptation on Japanese culture. I enjoyed all the Japanese music along with the cute and sweet graphics and art style. Probably one of my favorite games now.

No sound without headphones. Great game wanted to play with my kids but the sound doesn’t work without the headphones plugged in. Restarted game, restarted phone, deleted game and downloaded again. Guess I won’t get to play with my kids. Cool game which is why I’m give four stars but… yeah.

Notifications. For some reason I have to have the switch on the side of my phone turned on to play the game. Because of that, every notification I get distracts me and turns down the music

Best game on the app store hands down. The quality of this game and the sheer fun this game brings is mind blowing I haven’t had this much fun with a rhythm game since gh3 back when I had a ps2. HOLY- I DID NOT EXPECT THIS. OK, WHOA. This is insane.I cannot believe this got on Apple Arcade. I have wanted FNF on mobile for a while but screw that! I love this game and highly recommend playing it. Although it doesn’t have all the songs from the original taiko no tasugin(probably spelled that wrong) it gets the job done. I think this might be the first rhythm game on Apple Arcade!
