Awesome app, although lates version is almost unusable... Iv used alight motion for around 2-3 years now to make motion graphics, and help with tweeting for my animations on my iPad. Iv loved how simple and easy it is to use, and how you can create some really impressive edits and motion graphics if you take time to learn the program! From an artist standpoint I love using alight motion as an alternative to after effects and premiere pro, as both are very expensive and difficult to learn. But alright motion gives about the same results for a LOT cheaper! I recommend it for anyone looking to get into motion graphics, tweeting, or editing! As I said before I used alight motion on my iPad, and in the most recent update ( 4.2.5 ) it’s is practically unusable! The app crashes after a curtain time period ( it’s the same every time ) the effects menus don’t flip for they iPad display, and the new mechanics added to the motion blur effect are seemingly broken.. they don’t work when they are needed and do when they arnt.. if you could please patch this soon as I’d like to get back to editing! Thank you so much! Edit (oct 8th 2024) Idk if it’s my iPad or something but I can’t export anything.. it keeps crashing, even adjusting the export settings dose not do very much

Good but too many glitches. It’s a good app it’s better from my experience from CapCut with the good effects locked behind a cash grabbing system but most importantly is the glitches it crashes mostly ever single time a add multiple effects on one clip and try to copy and paste. Then when I started editing on alight motion it worked perfectly fine but then I started making edits and now there is a glitches that I have where I try to adjust the volume on my clips so I can here them in the edit, but now it don’t work anymore and now I’m contemplating on whether or not to switch back to CapCut because EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO CHANGE THE VOLUME IT STAYS AT 100 AND I TRIED FIXING IT BY RESTARTING THE APP, DELETING THE AUDIO AND REPLACING IT AND TRY TO PLACE KEYFRAMES ON WHERE I WANT TO CHANGE THE VOLUME BUT IT CLEARLY DOESN’T WORK and it drains your battery life badly like when you’re using vector drawing which has some problems too but yea, it drains your battery it’s glitchy and you have to learn more about the app then CapCut, which is a more friendly editing app. Now to my offense I’ve just started editing on alight motion for about a month now and I’m still learning how things move around but idk maybe it will get better or not. Oh and check out my TikTok edits will you, I need help getting engagement on my videos.

I would like for Alight Motion to add a few things.. I would very much recommend this app to lots of people if they are a beginner or not good at animating in other different apps. Although, Alight Motion needs more things and something to help the newer player base understand better with animating gacha(Life), (Life2), (Studio),(Club), Roblox, or drawing animations. Keep in mind, there is no replace, move layer up or down to another, or a duplicate option. Which there is none, and it makes me upset because I sometimes make a wrong layer, forget things that are supposed to be on a different layer, and I might want to duplicate a layer in case I want to repeat it instead of making it from scratch more times. There MIGHT be an option for those, but if so, they are not in plain sight. Also, I’d link some animation tutorials for roblox,drawing,and any version of gacha inside the app for others. Also, I am a YouTuber who enjoys this app VERY MUCH. But those sort of bug me. I love the app, and overall, I would give 5 if some of those options existed, and that it is very useful! -ST4RP0PZZZ OUTTT!

I love it but it has an unusual glitch.. I love alight motion. I think it’s one of the best apps for editing. It has a lot of effects that other editing apps don’t have so that brought my attention. I’ve been using alight for almost a year and the past glitches didn’t affect my edits until the one I have now, on my iPhone 7. I got this glitch recently about maybe a week ago. The glitch disabled my use of photo or videos. It looked as if I didn’t have any photos or videos. At first I thought I had accidentally disabled it in the settings, but i checked and it was still on “Read and Write.” I disabled it then enabled it again to see if it was a small glitch. Turns out, that didn’t work either. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app but all that did was delete all of my projects and stop my membership. No worries on the membership though, I can handle that. The last thing I tried was making a new account but it still showed that I had no photos nor videos. I hope this glitch gets fixed soon.

Used this app for 4 years now.. I use it on iphone. When i first had AM i always had premium and 0 bugs ever. It barely lagged. The more i use the app, i now have an iphone 15. The speed, glitching, wont export, kicks me out is more and more frequent and honestly is overheating my phone at this point. I loved this app so much but its basically the vain of my existence. I cant use it while im charging + the battery drains so fast. It would be so much better to have a render resolution setting thats different than the export because i dont need 4k WHILE im editing, just the product. Almost every editing platform has this except AM, yes mobile too not just ae. I use basically everything. Its so simple but yet adobe photoshop that JUST got released to iphone is somehow LESS overstimulating for my iphone. The more time that goes on the more buggy it is (no its not my phone age i just got this phone). And dont even get me started that the app hasnt updated or added new effects in 2 years…. While other editing platforms are constantly making more effects and proficient usage of them. If u asked me in 2022 i would say this is the best app ever. But now… its just falling behind everything else.

A little to confusing for me.. The mechanics of this app is too confusing for me to understand and I don’t know how to use it because of this, let me explain. So how I tried to animate is, I draw things on FlipaClip, (because I can’t draw anything easily on this app without a circle tool) and implant the drawing into Alight Motion and animate it from there, but one problem… I couldn’t get rid of the excess background. which meant I couldn’t animate anything because there were different parts of the character that would block the other parts of the animation, and I can’t get rid of them because there’s no eraser tool, you can only access the eraser tool on the drawing part of the animations. not only that, but also, the wording is really confusing to understand, as well as how this app works, I don’t think it’s fit for 4+… it should at least be for 10+ because of how confusing it is. i’m not sure if this is just a me thing, but yeah, this app is very confusing to understand and, don’t get me wrong, It’s good for some people, but I don’t think I’m one of those some people. I am really bad at using this app.

please alight motion. hey alight motion. I'm rating you guys 3 stars because i'm SICK and TIRED of waiting EVERY DAY for an update. ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE YOU ADDED NEW EFFECTS. 15 months since 5.0 released. I understand it's hard to run an editing app and stuff and that adding new effects can be difficult, but i have a suggestion! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASEEEEEE ADD REVERSE. i've never needed and wanted something so bad. I desperately need you guys to add a reverse effect because i'm tired of exporting a single clip and adding it into a different editing software just to reverse it. Your app is amazing and i've been using it for over a year, so this would be extremely helpful! I'm not the only person who thinks this because i've seen many people complain about the same thing over on tiktok. Other people ask for smoother slow-mo, but I don't care. I can live with pre-made twixtor for all I care. I BEG OF YOU. Pretty please with a cherry on top add reverse. I need a new update desperately. At least 3 times a week, I check the app store to see if you guys have added a new update. The day i see the word "update" instead of "open" is the day i can finally be happy. I'm a pro-user. I bought pro. I need this.

A few months in, so far disappointed.. So, you’re telling me this is my main animation source with no money needed, and you’re telling me Im still disappointed? I am very unsatisfied. This keeps crashing and I have no idea what’s going on with the app. I cleared up space, and yet this is still happening. Like here’s the problem. Every time I open this up, I’m trying to fix something. The thing Im trying to fix is an animation I’ve been working on, but every time, it keeps crashing. I don’t know what’s going on, but I would really enjoy a little refinement. Also, One little thing, but when you watch an ad to export the video, it says “watch an ad”, but almost every time, I get two ads. This is also kind of stupid of me, but would you mind putting “some ads” on there? I feel like it would be a bit more helpful for people who don’t know what to expect. Now, the animation features in general, they’re pretty solid. It’s pretty easy to understand once you get the hang of it. I have no complaints about that part, so this is all I wanted to say. If you see this, thank you for listening, I hope I can see some improvement.

Amazing Software something the iPad has needed!!!. This software is amazing. It’s the true motion graphics software that we have needed for iPad Pro. I think the UI needs some work, for example some panels like the shapes panel stays open all the time. I think the UI should be done in a more responsive and dynamic way allowing the user to take advantage of greater space. The app has great features and functionality and will for sure be my go to motion graphics software as soon as I see the crash bug out. The app is crashing at times, but the one I am noticing as a constant is when trying to go back to all your project files. Instant crash. This piece of software has huge potential and it fills a huge gap for video creators and motion graphic creators/animation. I truly hope the devs understand that they are sitting on something game changing. Would also be nice to have the option to have a flat rate buy price or sub option. I don’t know how long you guys have been on the platform, I only just discovered you tonight on a whim. The App Store has never shown me the app before and I’ve been looking and checking in to see if any good motion graphic software came for years. I only wish the App Store showed the app whenever it first came. This app is really exciting, and like I said before I truly hope the developers understand just how big of a thing this is. It’s something we desperately need. Please fix the crashing bug ASAP!

It is very good. Most critical: If you sort all the reviews by most critical there is a lot of illogical and stupid reviews people have only with their phone and not the app. Mostly lagging, crashing, overheating their mobile apps i am very sure that’s most likely to be your device’s problem. They are also listing the fact that they have to pay for editing, no you do not. It shows you the menu of subscriptions every time you open the app just incase you want to get it. You can either press try out effect or watch an ad for it. Me: I have made a lot of good edits with this and the smoothness is so delightful, this app is the best choice you can pick if you want animations and smoothness. This is also a better app to graph between your key frames. This is better than capcut there is no comparison unless you want to use more of your time making worse edits than alight motion edits. Alight motion overall is a 5/5

I can’t delete it. I can’t delete the app bro pls help😢Ok so when I downloaded it today i pressed the app and when I did this thing popped up it was this thing that said “alight motion Lite” or “Alight motion Premium” and I don’t know if me pressing the ‘x’ on the premium was the reason why I can’t delete the app but like atleast a minute or less after I pressed the ‘x’ I decided to delete the app after I saw the premium thing because I don’t want to be charge but when I tried to delete the app it wouldn’t let me . When I held my finger down on the app it just said “remove app” then when I pressed it another thing popped up and it said “remove alight motion from Home Screen” but when I did that it, was still my my library app and I tried to delete it by going to “IPhone Storage” on settings and I found alight motion there and I tried everything to delete it but it just won’t. But then I tried to see if I can delete alight motion in setting on apps/applications but something confused me- how is alight motion on my iPhone storage but not in my apps/applications on settings? I hope that everything that I said makes sense and if it doesn’t I’m sorry I’ll try to fix it but I’m just kinda panicking right now because I don’t have enough money to be charged with money by your app ,but, question if I’m not signed in on your app I can’t be charged right? And plus I didn’t press any premium or something. But for most of all my question is mostly how to delete alight motion. Pls answer quickly I don’t want to be charged🥲.

I Love This App But it’s Letting Me Down. I love this app, ive been using it for a couple years and i’ve started to rely on it just for normalcy in my life. But when I go to export projects every once in a while they won’t export saying it failed. So I lose all my hard work and I can’t save it or watch it or any of that stuff. And it just hurts me every single time because there’s nothing I can do. Lately it’s gotten incredibly easier for my app to lag when scrolling through my project. I used to be able to hold over 100 projects on my phone without a problem and without the storage on it in my phone to exceed 30 GB, now I can’t seem to get it below 50 with only less than 30 projects on my app. The graphs for transitions are never smooth anymore which graphs are supposed to help with. And certain effects are hard to use, like the mosaic effect which shifts the layer so if you tried to make a transition with it, it wouldn’t match and is useless to use. I love this app, it’s one of the only editing apps i’m able to do so much with without paying, but it’s just gone incredibly downhill and my experience has worsened overtime and looks like it will never get better.

Lag. I was trying to like animate something and when I tried to use the drag button, it didn’t work for some reason and it made me really sad cause I didn’t wanna spend like until like 5 o’clock in the morning just to finish something so when I had to sign in and stuff to sign in, that’s hard as Frick I don’t wanna go through my emails just to go through my emails again whatever but still I don’t want to find songs that aren’t even in like I know I’ve been doing this for years and if it’s something about my storage, just tell me oh hi Sierra, you need to fix your storage or it won’t load or delete some videos I don’t like and most of your videos are trash so delete them so maybe you should fix your app a little bit and you need to start reading your reviews because if you don’t read your reviews, I’m gonna find a way to see you guys at least fix the lag at least fix the blood and bug where it kicks you out for no reason cause if this continues I will be mad cause I want to animate I want to animate my OC and bro I mean I didn’t mind the lag for my other ones, but if you’re just gonna keep continue to kick me off continue continue. Continue like at this point I know what you’re doing. I know what you’re doing at this point. It’s a good app, but you guys need to fix your bug cause I don’t want to leave a bad review because if I keep getting no support for this, I’m going to give you more and more and more. This is going back down to two stars I mean.

exceptional!. alight motion is a great editing software! despite people saying that they find it difficult to even start something on the app because of how complicated its layout looks compared to their usual editing app (e.g. capcut, blurrr, or vsp), its actually very easy if you follow tutorials and get used to it. ive been using alight motion for maybe a year or two and so far? its great. although it is very laggy and crashes whenever i edit no matter how simple it is, the outcome is always what i expect it to be. theres also a lot of ads, but im used to it by now. for you editors considering to use this app, i advise you to PLEASE follow tutorials instead of downloading presets and xml files. following tutorials lets you get used to the layout, effects, tools, and just everything in general, while only using presets and xml files from other editors come with you not learning ANYTHING. if you want to get used to the app and learn how to create things yourself instead of being a lazy bum and using others premade effects, then learn by the tutorials other alight motion editors create for YOU guys. no, im not saying that using presets and xml files are nevessarily bad—im saying that if you depend on it too much, you wont learn anything. aside from that, this is a great editing app for people on mobile and i highly recommend it if you cant afford vsp or ae! (i hate capcut dont keep using it)

Is everything this companies does just for money. Genuinely no monthly plan is absolutely absurd. I as a person with other things in life to worry about has to either pay 5 dollars or 8 dollars a week for a mobile service? not to mention 30 dollars or 80 dollars a year for this application I need no research to understand that this truly is not worth the price id rather learn an entirely different application to approach a hobby of mines. Then you as a company know your losing users like why must you be so parasitical on your own users like really must of your users are kids what kid is gonna to casually be able to ask the parents or guardians or anybody for that matter for a constant stream of 8 dollars a week no subscription should exceed 8 dollars a month. I am also an old user of this app coming back with only great intentions and this was a terrible welcoming your app to this day crashes on very minimum projects, the intrusive alight motion sign if you don't pay for some absurdly priced subscription will always hunt you, reasonably you don't get as many options as much as premium users. The old alight motion never called for the intrusive display nor the idea of no month fee what genuinely happen, once a great app now a cash grab?

Suggestions. I need Am is lacking a proper masking tool. I haven't used vector drawing in 2 years and nowadays I just pay the monthly plan for Blurrr app and mask my things, photos and videos alike in under 3 minutes. Another feature I think we need is puppet tool, would be really convenient for making animations, also the 3D section needs more vitality, when I look at some AE manga animation projects for example, the way they're able to make a 3d rendered scene from scratch is incredible and I find myself stumped at how to approach that level of competence with the current features. Although the most important feature in this context would prob be the Z plain, there's just not enough tools to create 3d trees for example and really make the environment look and feel 3D. Ultimately, these features would take time to implement, however I think the longer it takes, the more people are becoming experienced enough or unsatisfied with the level at which they are stuck to make the switch to AE.

No Way If I Have To Pay. I’ve been using this app to learn how to make basic animations, but I’ve been hearing that some people have to pay, and this is/was the go to app for animators to animate, but honestly it was also the best and only app to go for those using iPad or iPhone whether it be for animation or edits, please Bending Spoons make it free again, not everyone is willing to pay to make, post, save their creative art/work, a lot of would rather it be free. A lot of artist may stop using your app, and stick to free alternatives, even if it means traditional. Anyways thanks for hearing us out and hope things get better. I’d stay even if there are ads, I’m going to anim school in Aug. and this would be a nice app to practice and post with even if there were a bunch of ads like every 15 min, I’d be satisfied with 10 a long as I get to practice animating and still learn to do anim edits. Please make it completely free to use in every way, even with ads, you don’t know how many broke peeps you’d help.

Please fix the lag. i like the app, my edits always come out in good quality and nice fps. and there’s a nice verity of effects and wide range of things you can accomplish. but 100% the WORSE thing about this app is the amount of lag that comes with it, it only gets worse too over the months, i’ve have alight for a year and the lag gets progressively worse and worse and i don’t understand how. in my time of using this app i’ve never seen an improvement to the lag, the app is always overheating my phone (which would be normal but it overheats more than normal) the lag is so bad it’s made me quit editing and i don’t think it’s fair i pat 5 dollars a week to have a bad experience regarding the performance of the app when i’m trying to do a very simple basic edit. lately the lag has been freezing my whole phone for a good 5 minutes and i cant do anything. and if i’m listening to music while exporting it gets distorted and corrupted. please, do something about this apps lag, i’ve never seen an improvement and it’s sad because this is by far the best mobile editing app. please please please i cannot beg enough to fix it.

Love it 100%. However. I love alight motion! It great for editing, animating, and I just love everything about it. It’s makes my animations better and it’s simple to use (well for me). However, the problem is that there would be weird stuff going on. Like for one, it would show all my photo and I would be fine, but then all of a sudden, the photos disappear. Even when I allow it to use all photos, it wouldn’t appear. I had to delete and reinstall the app again for this to work again. I’m not particularly happy about this because all the projects I had in there are now gone and the data is, well of course, gone. The next thing is that it would just randomly crash and take me back to my Home Screen. I had this problem many times before and it’s really annoying because I had to delete it again (and I just deleted it , the two situations happened within an hour of each other). I was completely confused because before these problems alight motion was perfect (little problems here and there but it’s not crucial). I’m not sure if it’s a bug or some other thing causing this but I don’t know how to fix it.

Alight Motion is Great !!. i honestly love alight motion, and i use it all the time. the performance is overall very good, and theres tons of effects to play around with and choose from. some effects are behind a pay wall, but if you just watch the ads when exporting, you can use them just fine without any money down the drain, which i think overall is a very good way to approach, makes my life easier. now, i do have a couple things i really wish alight motion had, like smooth slow-mo, or reverse. this app has almost everything under the sun when it comes to editing, i just think its silly to not include reverse. i think in future updates, i'd really love to see a smooth slow-mo feature, and possibly a reverse feature. imo, that would overall uplift the editing experience when using alight motion. overall, great app, and its quite easy to learn for beginners, very worth it.

My go-to app for edits <3 / edit: not the best anymore.... Alight motion, if you’re reading this I have one suggestion that I make at the end of this review, so please keep reading! I started using this app because I wanted to start making edits! I saw many editors use video star but it’s just so confusing and I can’t even make a smooth transition that I didn’t pay for. I never heard of this app but I tried it and I love it! It’s really smooth, it has keyframes (my favorite features) and there are many effects that you can actually get for free! There are a couple requests I would like to make for certain effects I would really like to try but overall I enjoy this app. I have read every single one of the other review and even though a lot of people are complaining about glitches and bugs I don’t really have a problem with it. Apart from occasional lagging it’s really fine by me. In the end it always turns out smooth! I’m definitely planning on buying the premium version for Christmas so I can use better effects. I do have on problem about this app which is the watermark on each video. I completely understand if you want to show someone using your app but I think the watermark style is a little bit weird compared to the previous watermark style (it looked prettier). So I’m just saying if you want to keep a watermark at least make it pretty! Edit: I do like this app but recently when I have started more complicated edits it’s lagging way more. Now I have an edit I just made and it will not upload into a video that I can show! I’m very sad about this :c I made the review 3/5 stars, sorry.

It’s not great, but not bad. I often reach issues of the audio going silent,with me having to restart playing the edit from the beginning or some random point. Furthermore, there aren’t any fixes, tricks, or anything i could find to fix it (though this is likely just a problem of me getting another device for this), it doesn't mean it’s not a problem. Alight frequently crashes, lags, and freezes with no light at the end of the tunnel in updates to fix it. There are many features gate kept by them requiring a “premium” subscription fee to reach its “full potential”, although some people like me can watch ads to unlock these features which is great. But it shouldn't even be a problem in the first place as gate keeping shouldn't be a part of communities (whilst i understand they need money, doesnt mean I need to like the fact). To edit greatly you need effects, many moving parts, and layers which alight can’t even handle sometimes in a 30 second edit for me (and I have a high budget). In conclusion it needs to face it’s problems with lag/crashes, bugs/freezes, gate keeping issues, and more to improve. All this isn’t to say it’s bad, but to just show people issues they may find along the way.

SCAM, WATCH OUT BUYING THE YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!. Yes. The app works great, yet I'm not sure if it's the updates, it's certainly not my ipad pro though. It managed to take away my yearly subscription that's not renewed until august 28, it's expecting me to buy the yearly subscription A G A I N, when my year isn't even over yet, it does not allow me to refresh or restore my subscription. (I have proof that I have been a subscriber since last year) I cannot access the assets or take away the logo. This is really something that all creators should watch out for, the makers intend to do things like this for more money without fixing the app issues and then telling their community, that it's either bugs or glitches, or some things that just need to be patched due to recent/latest updates, I'm finally coming out to say this. At least give me a refund. I even tried restarting my device entirely and reseting it, no luck. This is my honest review. I get that it's 3 months until the renewal but don't do this to people at the last minute just because some of us are poor and not as wealthy as those who can easily afford such a price to pay just to edit. We're literally paying to edit, taxes aren't enough as it is so they even do things within the apps society is constantly allowing themselves to be consumed by? Just be careful everyone.

Alight Motion Fills Me With Rage. Ah, Alight Motion. It has a nice layout, clean transitions, good motion blur, and is easy to use— you’ve spent multiple days working on two different edits, both of which you were very excited about sharing with social media. Your edits have smooth transitions and cute voiceovers from your idols and favorite characters. Everything is on beat because of the time spent making it such way, and you are enjoying your day when suddenly— BAM! There is an odd loading screen that has popped up and it glitches you out of the app while you’re editing. You frantically open the app again to make sure your most recent changes were saved and... Oh, would you look at that? All of your edits have been deleted. Now you don’t know what to do because even if you could collect the rare motivation to edit, your edit wouldn’t be safe in the hands of this app. Not only this, but you have no where to turn because you only know how to use Alight Motion and spent a long time watching tutorials where nothing went wrong. Alight Motion gets everything an editing app should have right— except for the fact that it may just decide one day to delete all of your progress. I would continue to use Alight Motion if it weren’t for the overwhelming fear of my work being deleted and lost forever. I’ve had malfunctions in editing apps before but this is worse than any other, especially considering that in all other cases of my edits being deleted, I clicked something or made a mistake by myself.

All is great except.... I love this app, and would 100% recommend to anyone considering it, but lately I’ve been having some issues. I’m having problems with my cursor and elements. It’s been happening for a while, but it’s just now starting to get on my nerves. I have my “show cursor” settings on, and it was fine at first, but now it will stamp itself in place on my screen and stay there until I close out the app. It’s hard for me to explain, but imagine having two cursors on your screen. There is one that is stuck in place, and the other one that is fine and showing your taps (like it should) Second, after the latest update, I’ve been having issues with my element’s text. When you have an element that mainly consists of text, it will let you do a simple text edit when brought into a project. My issue is that when I add an element (with the simple text edit) into my project, make the changes I want, and exit out of the project, it doesn't save. When I go back in the project, the element text is set back to its default. It’s hard for me to explain, but I hope that these things can be fixed soon!!!!

No bugs!!! Except.... Okay. To be completely honest, this is the best app I have ever decided to download. The interface was really easy to pick up and with the new update I had none of the bugs mentioned in previous reviews. The only issue that I have is when I export footage with alpha transparency. I keep choosing the HEVC codec and choosing export, but after the loading bar appears no saving option shows up. The program stalls, and after a few seconds, crashes. I hope that this bug will be fixed in later versions, but I would still strongly recommend this app to anyone who wants to create motion graphics. This program is on par with After Effects and has so many great capabilities. For me the issue with Alpha exporting barely takes away from my work, because I can just import the video I want to overlay graphics on. So no matter what level you are with motion design, I can tell you that this app is for you.

Don’t even bother with this. The app is extremely laggy and will crash constantly by literally using editing opinions in the app. Once your project starts lagging and glitching, consider it gone because the constant crashes will only make it worse as you try to salvage it. Quite literally if you try to play your project it will lag horribly before crashing seconds later. You can’t even export your projects in an attempt to save them since it will crash in the downloading process. So you’re left with one option: Start over again from scratch on a new project. But oh wait, it’ll just lag and crash again. 🥰😍 The developers have been told this is a common issue with their app for MONTHS. But they couldn’t be bothered do anything about it and will occasionally respond with the generic, automated “please email customer service” reply in the negative reviews. It’s sad since this app actually has a lot to offer without needing a subscription, and is fairly simple to use. But really you’re better off using the free version of Videostar or some other editing program. At least with those you get a functional app.

Access Premium Features. I recently just downloaded the app and so far, it seems like an awesome editing app for the iPad. My gripe with this app is that I can’t access certain features because you have to pay a monthly or yearly membership, and I don’t have any money in my account. I just wish there was a way for us to access the premium features with out paying the membership for a certain amount of time like having a lifetime payment, or even watching a 30 second ad (just like ibisPaint). Some people have said the before the update, everyone was able to access all the features before the update came, where the membership was now required and many people have complained about the situation. There was also an event that had all the features on this app to be used by those who didn’t pay the membership that I missed. So, that’s why I’m putting a 4-star review. I wish there was a way we can access the premium features for a certain amount of time or just pay for it for one time. Hope you guys are okay with the review

Good app, having some troubles. I'm having some problems exporting this video. In the video, there's a certain moment where the horizontal flip effect is used. I thought nothing of it since it seemed to work fine before I exported the video. But after exporting at that certain moment, the overlay distorts and stretches. I find this odd because there wasn't a distortion like that in the editing part. I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to fix this, and yet nothing has changed. And within those 30 minutes, I've discovered ANOTHER problem: the ads. I understand them for the exporting and the special plus features, however, once the video is exported if you leave after the video is fully exported they give you another ad. This becomes an issue when you’re trying to fix a problem that only seems to be happening during the exporting process; it becomes frustrating to sit through an ad (the same ad as well, mind you) several times just to see your video distort for the millionth time. TLDR: The export is showing distortions in the video that aren't there during the editing process, and the consent checking for errors within the export leads to frustration when it comes dealing with the ads. EDIT: Also, the transparent option for the background won't export to be transparent; I took the video to a different editor (so I could add some finishing touches) and it was just a black background. Not to mention that the logo (for non-paying users) doesn't fully turn white/react to the chroma key if you do have a colored background. Lmk if I’m misunderstanding the transparent thing.

As an semi-experienced user.. The app’s great. If you’re creative enough and can think outside the box, you can make practically anything. I’ve been using this app for about two years now on the free version, though I just watch the ads. And while it may not be much, it’s enough for me to reach a good level of video editing, just not “professional” or “expert” levels yet. It may take a while to learn the app initially (about a few weeks), after you do, it’s basically secondhand nature. But there are glaring problems. Not sure if they still keep this app in check as much as they should, because first of all, the glitches and bugs are insanity. -If you exit the app and enter while in the editor, you can hear that the audio of an ad plays, but the ad doesn’t even play, so you have to close the app and re-enter. -When you extract audio from video, the waveform doesn’t appear until you exit the project and then re-enter. -Randomly, audio will not play. It just doesn’t play until you, again, exit and re-enter the project. Unless if you wait a while and then try again, maybe it will work but who knows when it will cut off again. -The lag. Sure, it does depend on the device, but there needs to be a way to optimize the project playback so you can actually play the video *somewhat* without it running at 2 frames per whenever. There’s more bugs and glitches that I didn’t mention, these were just off the top of my head. But other than that, if the bugs and glitches and whatnot were fixed totally, then this app is a no-brainer, best video editor for mobile.

An Utter and Complete Waste of my Time and Money.. At first, I loved this app so much. I could use it for everything. Video editing, animating, making GIFS— the possibilities were endless. It had a massive library of effects, too, and it was great! But I wanted full-features since I loved it so much, so I bought a full year of premium. I bought it around June, and it was working great until September. But this month, the lag became unbearable. I have 74 projects in my gallery, most only up to about a minute at most. Trying to export 7 seconds is now impossible— after spending 2 hours using my own art to make a detailed start to an animated music video, the lag was really bad so I decided to export to see it. After 24%, the app crashed. This had happened before so I just restarted the app and tried again, but it crashed at 24% again. I was getting a little frustrated, and by this point I had tried 4 times. So I decided to reboot my iPad and close out all my apps. Still crashed. Make a duplicate of the project and grouped everything together. Still crashed. Deleted 7 apps from my iPad. Still crashed. Deleted almost every project I had, and it still crashed. Keep in mind, my iPad has 512 GB of storage and its a 12.9 inch 2019 iPad Pro, so it’s not a crappy phone or anything. At this point I’m just incredibly frustrated that I spent all this money and now I can barely open the app. I even tried screen recording the animation so save it to my gallery on low quality, in hopes that I’d at least scavenge some of the project, but nope. Too laggy and crashed 3 seconds in. Thanks a lot, I’d like my money back or some kind of fix to this issue.

A great app and really efficient for any project! However the adds are really annoying. I love it, it’s really easy to use, the effects are amazing, and it’s honestly one of the most useful and daily apps I’ve ever used. There a good graphs, good key frames, and good resolution and quality. I’ve been using it for an year now, I’m still learning but improving. A bit of constructive criticism however, everywhere I click pops up an ad. Whether it’s exporting my project or just clicking a random template button. If this goes on it’s going to become those cheep knock off games that ad farm their players and I don’t think that AlightMotion is going to stoop from that level. It’s still annoying so I’d appreciate less ads. Maybe just make an ad pop up during exporting and nothing else? It’d be much less annoying and would actually encourage editors like me to edit more! I also have a complaint with the app logging me off. Maybe it’s because my device is outdated or I use too much layers but I’m constantly getting logged off of the device

Problems With Loading. I’ve seen this app everywhere. I started out with Video Star, and wanted to get into Alight Motion. I got the app, and editing with this app was really easy! I loved it and I kept editing. But every time I would go to import, it wouldn’t let me. It would be stuck on the loading screen. So I had to screen record so that I could show it to my friends. Earlier this week, I decided that I would buy the Premium Pass. I went to my profile, and it showed the “Premium Options” (or whatever it says). I went to click on it, and, it went away, with a loading screen. I waited, and it never came. I logged out, logged back in, and it didn’t work. So I decided to go into a project, go to a premium effect, and press the “Premium Option” feature. Again, it got stuck in a loading screen. So I tried again. It didn’t show a loading screen this time! But, sadly, it would not let me click anything. I kept pressing continue, I tried seeing if it would switch to monthly if I clicked it, but no use. I really love this app and would love to support you guys with the premium membership!

Worst app I’ve downloaded.. The features in this app are amazing, and what the app can do is stunning, but there’s a HUGE problem, the app is SUPER SUPER laggy and slow, and it ALWAYS crashes after just a few minutes of using it, And when it gets to a point where it crashes so much from you trying to save your work, it just CRASHES YOUR ENTIRE DEVICE this app is garbage and their is absolutely NO point of downloading the app. I’ve lost SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT on this app it’s disgusting. Please don’t download this if you ACTUALLY WANT TO MAKE GOOD WORK AND ACTUALLY HAVE IT SAVE. And this is not just my problem, it’s MULTIPLE others problems too, it’s why the app has 4 stars, when someone has this same problem they just say “contact us here ________” They are doing nothing to actually fix this, and it’s disgusting. By far the worst app I’ve ever downloaded, please don’t download this, this DOES NOT deserve 4 stars. Don’t just take away 1 Star because of this problem this problem is HUGE and the app is pointless because of it. Alight Motion is not great to use anymore. The alight Motion app will no longer be my favorite because when I messed up alight Motion, it starts to crash so I had to delete it and delete all of the unneeded apps. Sorry that it keeps crashing every day :( so I’m deleting it forever. The only way I can use to video edit perfectly is not using the camera for the project. All I have to do is just stay where the project has layers in them. I’d rather use KineMaster, but not on iOS. That’s the only app I’d use on my Samsung tablet instead. Oh my! No explosion is needed: When I tried to replace the layer, the replacement won’t work! I had to close the project and reopen it again, but the problem is that the project was completely empty and the aspect ratio won’t go to 16:9. And then I would get out of the app! I had to open it again. I tried to replace and edit the layers a lot of times once I copied my project. I tried to do that but the reasons is that the layer would disappear. The only layer that stops controlling with the size is the reason that it would not stretch correctly to -60 stretch axis. Then something weird, it shrunk.

Love the app, but... I’ve been using Alight Motion for nearly a year now. I mainly use it to make sprites for animations, and it usually takes about an hour. The past few days, every time I try to enter, it’s froze before asking me if I’d like to enroll in a subscription. I’m a teenaged small YouTuber, so I can’t afford the subscription. It won’t work no matter what I do. I decided to delete then re-download the app because this happened a few months ago, except it would kick me out and I’d have a limited amount of time until I was kicked out again. So, I made sure I had my account set up so everything wouldn’t be lost, and guess what..it deleted nothing except for my projects. I’m so disappointed. So how about this. Stop asking if we want a subscription every three minutes. Make sure there aren’t any bugs. Thanks to this, I’m probably gonna have to delay a very important video. (And in case you’re wondering if deleting the app resolved my issue, it didn’t. Which make things ten times worse.)

good for transition edits, but super laggy.. I usually use video star and do velocity edits. Something happened and i can’t use it anymore so i tried alight motion because i use to use it for small things. i decided to have some fun and make a transition edit even though i was not use to it. I liked how the edit came out but i would not export and the percentage went to 100,000! i’ve tried everything they said to “fix” it but it doesn’t work. i deleted the edit because it did take up a lot of storage. i worked on another transition edit and it was definitely a lot simpler and this time it exported. i liked the edit and honestly alight motion is really easy to learn and i like that you can use pro effects just by watching an add. on the other hand, there is no twixtor (smooth slow-mo) just choppy slow-mo. so you have to either download twixtor clips, or use a whole other app to make your clips twixtor. that is one thing i don’t like about this app when it comes to velocities. Overall if you make less advanced transition edits, this app is okay.

Great but somehow got worse. I’ve been using alight for 2 and a half years, and before that i would somewhat make an edit here and there in alight so I’m not just saying this happened all in one update but over time. I love the new effects they add, it’s really nice and allows me to be more creative!! However, its gotten incredibly more laggy over time. It wasn’t as bad back then, add too many layers itd be a problem but now it gets laggy over little things like any of the blurs and if I’m going to be honest, if I overlap keyframes, it also becames laggy. Sometimes it doesnt render my edit correctly and has it lag the clip itself however it’s only happened on my ipad so maybe that’s not Alight’s fault. Another thing that I’m pretty sure was actually in an update was the way overlays/colouring looks and acts different than before. It doesn’t make it look “bad” but I had a set colouring routine for a whole year and it always stayed the same because it did the job and fit what I wanted the edit to look like. But in April 2021 when I tried to use the same colouring, it was very different, more saturated, less transparent and it felt like the settings were completely different. I can recreate something similar to what it used to be but it’s never the same and I personally wish they kept the colouring and overlay settings to work the same as before. I’m unaware if any other users feel the same as me so maybe it’s just me. Now while I’ve been talking negatively, I really do love Alight and have been an original user since the demo ages. There’s more good than bad, I just felt like addressing what’s been bothering me the most.

First few problems. I’ve been using the app for a year in about July and it’s been going great! Everything has been working nicely and I’ve been able to save my videos with no problem. I’ve been able to download my QR code’s from TikTok with shakes and effects easily so I can use them. But today however, I tried to get in to make an edit. My screen stayed white for about 20 seconds and then it just went back to my Home Screen. I ended up having to delete the app and redownload it. When I got back in all my edits and edit packs were gone and I couldn’t get them back. I then went back into TikTok to put in a few more QR code’s so I could make a new edit and it either took me into the app and said I needed a membership to use it because it was over 5MB, or it took me to the App Store to download the app even though I already had the app. I clicked “open” to open the app and the pack showed up nowhere. It has worked in the past but today it stopped. Alight if you could please fix this so everybody can insert the QR code’s into the app again to make it and easier app to use. All you are trying to do is make people end of needed to buy the membership so they can use it properly and people will not want to spend 80 dollars a year on a editing app. So please fix this as fast as you can. Thank you alight community!

Very good app, although some issues.. Perfect for editing. Amazing features, effects, etc. Some things do however bug me. When importing videos, from the media screen, the video i want to be imported doesn’t show up. This has been going on for a while. And it is starting to get frustrating when i’m available to begin editing a video but i can’t even get the first thing i need to get started. Another problem that is a little less problematic is the lag that happens when editing the project. The delay and visual bugs that happen can get quite annoying and inefficient as you have no idea if something looks good or not when you cannot even tell what is happening in the project. The video turns out fine after exported but that takes time that could be used fixing errors or making improvements. I feel as if these both should be fixed as fast as possible. When this is done if ever done, it will be a 10/10 app and software.

Lags and freezes. In all honesty, I love this app wholeheartedly! I’ve been using it for years, I’ve gotten the subscription and I haven’t been able to find anything else like it on a mobile device! My only issue however, is the massive amount of lagging, crashing and freezes that happens. After a few years of having the app on the same device, it started to run slower and slower until eventually it would just crash every time, I tried reopening the app, clearing storage (which wasn’t an issue in the first place), restarting my device, everything I could think of! Eventually I simply deleted and reinstalled the app, and for about half a month, that was working out well, and I thought it would take a while at the most until this issue arises again, but after about a week of not using the app, the same lagging, freezing and crashing started up again, even though my device storage is clear, and I haven’t made many projects on the app yet. I don’t know why this has been happening, but I can’t find many solutions aside from deleting and reinstalling the app around once or twice a month, which one could imagine, is a very tedious process. I love this app very much, but the crashing and lagging issues make it really hard to progressively use the app when I have to not only get rid of all my data on there, but also to do it so often that I can’t be comfortable using the app on a regular, whatever this issue is, I hope it becomes resolved, thank you for reading ^^

Truly an amazing app! Couple things though.. This is honestly one of the best apps I’ve had for animating, if not the best! I love the dynamics, and though it seems intimidating and challenging at first, once you watch a tutorial or two you know the whole platform! This works wonders when you need to tween, and though it’s not my favorite for editing (purely because I have other apps, not a fault with the app itself) it’s amazing for animation. One little problem that I don’t particularly like is the price of the subscription however. I was there before the update, and I actually quite enjoyed it then, I was thinking of buying it. But that much a week is a little expensive on my end, especially as a middle schooler who uses the app for fun. I would understand if you had a subscription, but for the features taken away like certain filters and features and the amount of screen space taken from the watermark is a little excessive. I understand the team works very hard on the app and I appreciate the effort they put in, it’s just a little upsetting that the people like me who can’t afford the subscription can’t use the app to the full extent. Thank you anyways though!

Issues!. Ok so I really love this app. It made editing easier and its really a good editing app. It’s not for beginners but for intermediate or advance editors. The one thing I do note is that, when u create a account, lose your files, your files won’t be saved. By files, I mean projects. I wish that when you create you account, and the app have all your projects and such, you projects wouldn’t be deleted after you delete the app because your account is still active if yk what I mean (sorry I’m bad at explaining), also, there’s this issue where everytime I’m in the app for like 30 seconds to 1 minute, the app crashed and it exit me out of the app everytime so it gets hard editing because I wouldn’t be able to do stuff because of the consistent crashing and exiting out the app. I do hope you find a solution or maybe it’s just my phone, I don’t know. And lastly, the premium purchase, 5 dollars a week is a bit too much for me. Like I wish it was atleast 5 dollars a month because I, as a high school student, can’t really use the full potential of the app because of the weekly subscription and having to pay weekly. I would love it if it was once a month. Anyways that’s all my concerns, thank you!

after effects/videostar quality. by far one of the best video editing apps. it has the easy ease graph, tiles, motion blur, vectors, 3D effects. and i say this as someone who’s edited with after effects, final cut pro, cute cut, and even imovie, tried to edit with videostar, and whose first time editing with this app was maybe 5 minutes ago. however, for every give, there’s a take. there is a watermark, which is pretty big and would need to be cropped out to be rid of if you don’t plan on getting the subscription. the app crashes. a LOT. especially when you’re using groups. you might be trying to export a video with a group or two and it’ll crash every time you try, rendering it practically impossible. you might just be skimming through or playing your video and once it gets to the group(s) it’ll crash. groups aren’t the only thing that makes it crash because this is a good app and has good stuff that’s almost too much for the app to handle. only good part about that is that everything autosaves, which is good and bad because you’ll keep your progress but if you screwed something up and it crashed, you can’t undo it, you have to do it manually. here’s a tip for exporting projects that are a lot for the app to handle: instead of exporting it from inside the project, close out of it and tap and hold on it until it’s selected, then export like that. but otherwise, this app is incredible and if you can’t pay for after effects or videostar, i suggest trying this out. maybe find a loophole around the watermark.

Its just too laggy.. This app is great in all it offers, I personally use it for animation and it does an excellent job. It can make smooth great animation thats easy to learn and has many effects that really improve the quality of the product. Despite all this, however, it is EXTREMELY laggy. It crashes all the time. Cant handle even half of one of my characters let alone two or more. It wont let me go further than animating like 2 characters in groups, and even then its struggling. I cant make a singular background or overral edit. I dont know why this happened after the first month of use but, it just stopped accommodating. Back then I could make a whole 30 layer character and duplicate it twice for shadows and lights and such, but now if I even think of duplicating anything, it would probably kick me out (like it does whenever I have one too many layers visible) Its a shame. This app is what motivated me to animate but the lag just makes it unbearable. I just think for a big app with so many features it could have done better. For now I have no alternatives so I just cant animate at all :{

A few problems, otherwise good. Hi Alight Motion! I enjoy using your app even though I only use it for the video movements. Although, I have a few concerns. One thing is that it constantly gives me ads. For example, when I click to like projects and then I create it, I get an ad as soon as I do. Another thing that bugs me is when I have to watch an ad to export, when I finish watching the ad and I press go to press save, it gives me another ad again! Very frustrating. And ANOTHER thing that is awful is the constant lagging and inability to load. My WiFi is always at full bars and my device is an iPad Pro 4th generation with plenty of storage, so there’s no reason for your app to have such difficulty. After watching the ridiculous amount of ads, your app constantly tries to offer me to pay $7.99 A WEEK just to get no ads, export freely, etc. It’s not necessary to charge people that much per week, it would be more understandable is you put it to a month, for example. You should have the option like “don’t ask again” like other Apple apps do. Last thing I was dissatisfied about is when you removed the feature to watch an ad to remove your obnoxious water mark. I understand you have to make money for your app, but there’s plenty of other ways to! I’m probably better off switching to CapCut, since they added better features to their app for free. Great Editing Software but still VERY BUGGY and NO TIME REMAP. Since 2020 i've been using Alight Motion and I've enjoyed editing all my videos on here. However, the software is still very vulnerable when it comes to minor crashes and glitches. This app becomes UNUSABLE when below 25 percent, while the phone is charging, and if the phone is at medium/high temperature. Another slight nitpick that I have with this app is that the IOS version is the ONLY version does NOT have an option for time remapping. I was excited when I was informed the 5.0 update would have an option for time remapping, only to have the excitement shattered to see that it was only on Andriod and NOT IOS. I've been waiting ever since. PLEASE release the time remapping function for IOS, even if it's just an option for Premium users. Adding a time remapping function for IOS would save all users so much more time when editing their projects and would drive users to the app instead of pushing them away. Other than those two personal nitpicks, I love this app and would recommend many video editors to invest some time into this app especially if they want to learn the fundamentals that are in other higher-end/higher priced VFX editing softwares such as After Effects and Davinci Resolve!

great editing app. i love alight motion!! i like to edit and post online as a hobby/just for fun, and the switch to am has made it a lot easier to make more complex edits and play around with a lot of effects. controlling fps, having keyframes, and an overall very in depth editing app makes the whole process easier. however, it can be VERY buggy. alongside frequent crashing which has gone on the whole time ive had it, i’ve recently found i can no longer turn down volume using the slider (not a big deal since i can manually change it, but a little annoying). i’ve also recently had the issue that the playback just won’t work. it’ll randomly pause and not go forward or just not play at all, which is an inconvenience since i need to see what im editing and play it back so it’s satisfactory. i find my work arounds, but these bugs can be annoying. overall, i still recommend!! it’s a nice editing app, and seems overwhelming at first, but is actually pretty easy

It’s a good app kinda. The apps not bad but like the free version you can do a lot of stuff with it and you can make some pretty cool edits but now when the update came most of the stuff like the effects or all you had to have premium like a membership so I had this edit I made and I didn’t get the Membership yet I was planning on getting it but not anytime soon so my edits were all based on free affects so I made the saber effect for one of my edits but now I can’t export the edit because it’s changed to membership so I’m not able to download it to my photos because I’m broke and sometimes the thing like glitches a lot and it just closes you out of the app which is pretty annoying every time I make a long edit it’s always closing me out of the app and the fact that I use are like the wave ones the way the facts and like all of them are for memberships so I can’t I are used to use that affect all the time but now I can’t use it anymore because the membership and stuff not saying that should be like there should be no membership because the app itself and going on like the free you can make some pretty cool edits with it which is why I gave it like four stars so that’s not bad but like now the times all the effect are all for membership and I don’t have that 😗✌️

Review!. Alight Motion is a must have for any video editor or aspiring one out there. Personally, I transitioned from CapCut into Alight Motion and immediately gave up with how complicated it was. I watched some video tutorials on how to make some transitions and a few months later, I am making advanced edits that I’m really proud of. I also purchased the Pro part but that’s not needed. It’s basically After Effects but mobile. It’s a great app and I think that even though it’s hard, when you get the hang of it, you’ll be very proud of yourself. The only issue I have is the crashing and lagging. However, I can understand why it does crash when you have a lot of groups and effects there. I fixed that myself by grouping whatever transition I had and then saved it to my Elements and exported it in a fresh project. That’ll help you guys as well! Overall I would highly recommend Alight Motion.

What happened?. I got this app a little while ago, and It’s a great app. It’s easy to use, great quality, and a lot of my other friends use it. I even used it and won a competition in school. Eventually, I lost some of my motivation and stopped using it for a bit, but when I came back, I tried to export my video, and now it’s saying `Members only feature’ I could no longer export my videos. I’d press the button in the corner and it just kept saying `Members only feature’ . I might just have a glitch or there’s a misunderstanding, but charging people to save their own creations will just cause people to try and find a different app to use. Overall, it’s an amazing app, transitions are smooth, effects help the video com to life and this is one of the best apps that you can use for almost anything. Which is why I really want to use it but it no longer allows me to download my videos, so there’s truly no point. Once again, great app but please explain why you’ve done this.

Good but i’m experiencing so much lag very frequently. I’ve had this app for a while, really good but uo until recently i’ve been experiencing a lot of bugs and issues when exporting my projects. i have a few screen recordings and videos of my project going dark and flashing randomly and also showing parts of the video that aren’t supposed to be there a lot. if someone could reach out and help that would be great. otherwise really good editing app, quality is very good and smooth.

One problem other then that it’s alright. I’ve only used this once and I already like it a lot. there’s only one problem tho when ever I try replaying the project over and over again with sound it lags then just pauses the whole thing and doesn’t let me do anything I rated this 3 Because I haven’t got used to it And the glitch I just rote about if you can maybe fix this it would Be amazing! I try making my animations at night so I usually try and finish them fast so if this glitch would be fixed I would injoy it way more❤️: so I’ve been using more of it and it’s really making mad because every time I export the video it just lags out! I’ve made a whole video that took days and now it won’t even let me export it!😭 this really making me mad please fix it!

alight motion is peak!!. I love the app, genuinely, you can use features and effects even without needing to buy premium, you just have to watch ads. The thing I don't like is the bug. Whenever your import let's say too many elements at once it will continuously glitch you out and sometimes it gets really hard to produce videos. Other than that, the smooth quality and everything else is amazing.

Alight motion.. What did u do to me???. Dear alight motion, now i really wanted to add photos onto an project, but 1 slightly problem just came upon me, IT. WONT. ADD. ANY. PHOTOS?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I just done something and BOOM it just went: " No photos today, have a break DrAWING✨✨✨ " and i was like: "...add photos...? LET me add my photo...UGHH??!!" so please try and fix it please, i really need to make an animation with the photos i need. If this is a bug happening, please try and fix it...🥺

The new update is too pricy…. I was fine paying $8 or whatever it was a month for the app, that’s fine, even $10, but as a HS student I simply can’t afford $8 A WEEK. There’s no way 1 out every 3 people on this app are willing to pay that much, right? How are you making profit? What is your demographic? Surely professionals use After Effects and such, I always assumed this app to be for intermediate to low-scale experienced editors. Why bump the price up that high for an IOS app? At least make a desktop version for a pricier alternative which would be ideal for those able to pay $8 a week. Please take a look at your recent reviews, people are unhappy. Please, reconsider.

Advertisements are ridiculous. I downloaded alight motion in maybe 2019, 2020 even, and it had absolutely zero ads which made it amazing. Nowadays, I get about three ads just opening the app, random ad pop-ups, and another three to just export and save a project. This app has become annoying and frustrating as you can barely even do anything without paying ridiculous amounts of money for something that used to be free a few months ago. I understand that the devs need to make money somehow, but there’s no way that I can afford their overpriced pro version. The developers need to pull their heads in and stop making their app progressively more and more useless.

GREAT app but I’m kinda broke right now😅😭😭😳😳. I wanted to have this app really bad, because i was really looking forward into tweening and the most used app for tweening is alight motion, but unfortunately it had a subscription, so I looked up some methods to get it free and one really caught my eye, it was to shake the phone to have free access but it only works on phones not iOS iPads pls add it on those iPads it’s a really cool way to gain free access and as I said please add it on iPads because it’s a really good app and it’s paid so if there where any way to help with my brokenness😐,and review please help with that. 🙏

Good but could be better. This app is really good except for when it’s time for exporting! I try to export and it makes me watch an ad (which isn’t a problem) but then, out of no where, it kicks me out! Even if I get through the process and it hits 100%, it still won’t let me save it to my camera roll!! I’ve tried to send an email to to you guys but it just won’t let me. Please fix this issue since I love this app so very much! Thank you.

Really good app but crashes so much. This is a really good editing app and is probably the best on iPads/iPhones if it didn’t lag so much and crash especially when I’m exporting, a lot of my edits that I have done have crashed while they are exporting and they are yet to fix it, I feel like they’re working to hard in new features rather than fix the lag and glitch problem, other than that best editing app with so much you can do, but warning it is a little difficult to use at the start.

glitchy. ok so as much as i miss doing cool repeating tweening stuffusing premium or sum im ok without them, my problem is that this is really GLITCHY!! im trynna make some edit and when i grouped smth and clipped it onto another group under that, a large white box appears in a 0.1 sec frame, it might seem small but the box is fully white and mirrors what im doing with the 2 groups, which is im using the above group to act as a shadow and lowering its opacity, and these boxes appear behind my characters and copy exactly what im doing, one white box with a lowered opacity box clipped to it. It’s extremely noticeable when watching it and I. Just. Can’t. Figure. Out. WHY!! i did this in a scene before that aka clipping a group onto a group below it and it was FINE like mann.. the thing is if i take the groups apart it disappears, and i tried refreshing the app and closing it and opening it, exiting the project, etc, IT STILL APPEARS HELP ME BROO THIS IS HELL

Lagging and crashing. I love this app, it’s easier for me to edit in then with cutecut and VS. I’m really grateful you guys created this app, I’ve been making better edits. But one problem, it seems to crash/lag a lot on my device. Which I have is a IOS, I know it was only released for like apple a while back? (I don’t remember when sorry.) But I’d like for you guys to try and fix it! :D it’s really hard for me to make edits while this is happening everytime I try to play it. Thank you :3 💖

I really like the app and it’s been really good to make edits and stuff but every time I try to group different layers on my edit together or add elements in my edit it lags for a while then master resets my phone, Please fix this in the next update ( I don’t know if it’s because my phones and iPhone or if it’s happening to everyone) but I really want to keep using alight motion as it gives me so much to work with:)

Crashing and lagging.. Heyyyy! My name is Ella and I love using alight motion to edit. Great app. But whenever I edit in high resolution and frames it gets really laggy, I would like your dev team to fix that as when exported, some parts are more delayed or faster then meant to. 2nd of all, my app keeps crashing when I was editing, now it doesn’t want to export as it still crashes? IVE tried EVERYTHING yet it doesn’t wanna work. All I ask is a lag, crash fix in the next update as alight motion hasn’t been working well. Thank you.

3-ish stars | Functioning = crashing + annoying workaround. So quick explaination, this app is great, but as of awhile and recently, it’s been barely functioning, here’s a list of the problems {project name’s - Not saving} {crashing when making project’s, naming project’s,changing format’s,resolution or importing.} {crashes,lag’s and glitches + extremely slow when trying to edit. Even if importing a single photo.} {crashes downloading,playing or scrolling through the project} {almost every button and function causes crashing} {Extremely slow} I’ve had one time in total it hasnt done these things, oh and, can we please have a clear cache button that doesnt clear the project’s but unnecessary cache please. Also a work-around the lag i’ve found on IOS is, The lag is non-existent and doesnt crash if i dont change the name from the default project name it gives. But this is infruitating and the moment i try to add one it crashes.

Worst editing app ever.. This app is so useless literally. It makes the most simplest things complicated. Who in there right mind would use this app. CapCut is way better is so simple to use, there is nothing difficult about CapCut, even a child would understand quickly how to use CapCut. But alight motion is terrible its so difficult to understand, who would even come up with the idea of an editing app where it makes the most simplest of things difficult.

The prophecy has finally been fulfilled. I’ve had alight motion for a year and it’s impressing with all the cool effects and stuff. But when I watch tutorials for smooth transition I have to use the pro effects witch really changed how I edit. But then on the 29th of October. It happened. It finally happened. so annoying. good app but , I absolutely cannot like move that thing with the shapes audio media button and all screen ANYWHERE. It’s been really frustrating and I need some help out, unfortunately I couldn’t find any. that seconds scroll thingy that makes the whole video longer but stays the same is so irritating, like what is it even for and why is it needed. Overall, this app is okay but certainly is annoying and frustrating. gladly recommend improvements and maybe even tutorials about on.

Great App!. I’ve finally been able to find an app to edit things on that doesn’t require you to pay a big fee monthly. This app is incredible once you learn how to use it! My only problem is when I transition between different clips the video starts to lag, mainly when using spin transitions, I’m not sure if this is something the developers can fix or not but it would be great if you could. Other than that I recommend this app to anyone wanting to make good edits!

Very Buggy. I transitioned from CapCut to Alight Motion because of how much more potential it has for advanced editing like transitions and effects, although whenever I have more than 5 clips overlaying, the app begins to bug and just ends up displaying white and no audio. I have tried restarting my device and also still had an extra 12 gigabytes of storage but the issue keeps occurring. Audio is also a problem when I have earbuds in, whenever I have my earbuds in, Alight Motion tends to cut out audio from my music or my clips and sometimes even both at the same time which gets very frustrating when I want to hear the music sync or sfx more clearly. I have tried with 4 different types of earbuds (wireless and wired) yet it never stops.

Amazing! But maybe some more simpler options for beginner editors?. Amazing app! But it took me five hours to figure out the simple basics of my first tweening project on here! Amazing app obviously but even with tutorials it was difficult, could we perhaps have some more instructions and information for people with learning difficulties too? I think thats why it took me so long as well lol, but other then that, its very accessible and fair, thank you!

da BEAUTY of the app.. Hi :D! This app is absolutely INSANELY AMAZING towards other people’s apps. This one of a kind app lets you tween, edit, animate, make sounds, draw, I could go on! It’s interesting that your getting these reviews from a fully grown women I would “politely” recommend for you to “politely” get the app and “politely” recommend it to your FRIENDS! But… that’s not it! It lets you; import photos, make as many animations as you want, no adds (not much), and doesn’t tell you to get the pro 24\7! So… PRESS THE INSTALL BUTTON, AND FORCE YOUR FRIENDS TO! Have a good time ^-^

my opinion. I think this app is really good but it crashes sometimes although it might be a bit laggy you can edit , tween and animate on this app | I recommend this app to people wanting to learn how to animate or anything else but it might be a bit hard for beginners since there’s so many controls and they also do give a video about how to animate and all about the tools use which is amazing! , It took my a while until I got used to alight motion and I highly think this is the app you should use

It’s great but….. This is truely a great app but the frame drops and constant crashes when trying to export videos is getting annoying now. I have to try export at least 4 times and 3 of them all crash, and when im able to export it, the timer indicating how long its gonna take is around 30-40 minutes for a 20 second video. Either its the app or my iPad and i got the best iPad with barely any apps i still have 200 gigabytes left and these problems are still occurring…

Great, but can you please fix this bug/add these features?. This is a great app overall but when I try to use the X skew/Y skew in move & transform it usually messes up really badly where it skews way to a much then I wanted. I think it would be a good idea if you were able to tap the number on the skew slider and type it in the number you want. This would be helpful to me because I often tween my characters with this app but if I want something going in reverse (please also add a reverse feature I have seen other people want it too) I have to manually move all the sliders. Great app a bit confusing but maybe that's because I skipped the tutorial :) 👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good but can’t download on Mac and exports are laggy (for me). People say AlightMotion is like a mobile version of Adobe After Effects and depending on your level of editing, it can be! I personally use am for my edits and here’s some issues I have with am: there’s no reverse feature, my exports are laggy, CAN’T DOWNLOAD ON MAC, and not a big thing but the motion blur can be fixed a bit more (when doing a rotation transition the blur makes a circle but it would look better in a spiral blur yk?). I really wish that AlightMotion was available on Mac or pc because my mobile device can’t take as much as a laptop or computer. My exported videos are very laggy and low resolution but it wasn’t always like that, I’m not sure what happened but PLEASEEEE fix this.

qr codes won’t download. I love alight motion and I edit on it all the time but today I couldn’t open the app at all. I tried turning my phone off and on and that didn’t help so I eventually decided to delete the app and redownload which did work. However, I lost all of my projects (which I was aware would happen) and I had planned to redownload the qr codes I had saved to keep my important elements, but now the app will not download ANY qr codes and I have lost all my work and the support website will not open. This is so disappointing for me and I really need this to be fixed.

AMAZING BUT.... ok so i used to be a cc editor and the reason why i'm using am now is because of how many effects are becoming pro and how money hungry cc is. am on the other hand, yes they do have pop-ups on subscriptions to cool effects but yk to get them for free you only have to watch a 15-30 second app (let's be fr, it's not that long)! i feel like everyone is exaggerating about the ads because for me they never pop up unless i want to export my clips or unlock a certain effect. it's true that am is a little harder from cc as i'm used to the simple buttons and where to do different things but i managed to make my first edit and i'm rlly proud of it! sadly, there is always a little problem in every app. the problem for this app is that you should make the buttons to edit a little bit closer together so it's easier and more convenient to navigate. also, you should make the tutorials more understandable cause it makes no sense at all to me (my opinion i'm just slow hehe). other than that, am is my new favourite editing app! the effects are sooo helpful and i just like the way it's laid out! absolutely love this app. recommended for people who have some experience in editing but if ur new still, go ahead! it may be harder tho just saying. P.S: GUYS STOP PUTTING 1 STAR JUST CAUSE IT'S HARD FOR YOU. IT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVE A SKILL ISSUE JUST BE HONEST OMFU.

Lag and crash. this app is amazing! i started to learn the basics of this app. i had this app for a few weeks and i gave up right away but after i took my time and i finally made a 24 second edit after 2 hours. i wanted to try a different app that was easy but not too hard, VS cannot create those bouncy transitions that’s why i came here. the main problem (and i’m sure everyone will know) is that it keeps lagging and crashing. every time i play my edit, i wasn’t sure if my transitions were slow or it’s the lag. please fix this really soon so we can all have an amazing time with this app and not have our devices being thrown to the wall because of this issue. thanks!

It’s a lovely game, but… (also can you respond?). So..sometimes it glitches and it won’t let me erase my drawing and it glitches. Sometimes it makes the animation look like it’s going 12 fps instead of 30. Please fix this! It makes my animation look very blocky and not smooth at all! Alight motion is smooth animations! Not choppy ones! Sometimes it even makes my animation look like it’s going 5 fps or 4. AND WHEN I TRY DRAWING AFTER I CAN ERASE IT THE DRAWING IS OUT OF PLACE 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡. (Calm down..calm down). Okay it’s a good game when you get used to it. I’m obsessed with this app, and when it works, the animation are really smooth :D

Fix the lagging and crashing. I understand that Alight motion users have a lot of groups and stuff, but the crashing is getting out of hand. It is basically unusable that the fact it crashes every 2 minutes. This app also deosn't work if you have no wifi and then the Members feature pops up. It then doesn't load and you have to connect to wifi.

recent ad issue. alight motion is overall a pretty good app and i have downloaded it again after taking a break from the app. The issue is there is an ad saying something along the lines of “monthly effects” and when i try and click the X button to exit the ad it doesn’t work, meaning i can’t exit the ad so i can actually use the app. It’s very annoying and I don’t want to have to wait until the time period for the ad ends until i can actually use the app. So if it’s possible you should probably review this issue.

good app some flaws. It is a good editing app although it is so laggy at times and the ads for exporting are ridiculously long even worse it says that I only need to watch ‘an ad’ to export instead i have to sit through two 20-30 second long ads and its such a waste of time. It also takes long for the editing process to be done because of the tremendous amount of lag that keeps getting worse when you add more effects to your editing project. Please please please fix this lag problem, the ad isnt that bothersome compared to the annoying lag with this app. It is such an irritating thing to have to close the app and reopen 23 times in one editing project and it just ruins the experience and smoothness of it. Good but lags. I enjoy using this app, but there are many things i that I can’t do because of it lagging. An example is today where I spent a while on an edit, but then when I made a group it lagged out. I can’t access it anymore because the app will crash every time, so I can’t even ungroup it to fix it. I usually duplicate the project multiple times as I go in case something like this happens, but I still lost a lot of progress, which is really frustrating

It’s alright, but not the best. So I put this one or two years ago and I can only like fix stuff that I’ve already made. It’s really confusing and I also mainly use CapCut because it’s personally easier for me and it doesn’t really cost anything unless you want premium so you have his other things out there that are better but this is still good. Love this app but could be great if there were a few tweaks. This app is very good, highly recommend. I make my animations there all the time and it has a lot of functions that other editing/animation apps don’t. The only problem is that it often crashes while exporting. It even crashes while the ad to export is playing. I literally spend hours trying to refresh things, clear out storage, power off and on my iPad and update the app to the most recent version but it continues to crash. The project’s file size is rather big so I’m not AS surprised, but it would be great if alight motion could handle larger projects when exporting :)

Lots and lots of crashing and lag. I’ve been using alight motion for quite some time now, and there has always been lag when I out one too many layers into the app. Sometimes the app will just do slight crashes and I can enter the app again, but sometimes it will fully shut off my iPad. I find it hard to edit since i cant review the video since it’s lagging so much. I’d really like for this to be fixed since it’s making it nearly impossible for me to edit.

Really good! Recommend using this app!. Omg when I first downloaded this app it was really hard to use but thankfully there was tutorials to guide me, after an month or 2 I managed to edit some pics but when I add audio and start playing the vid it made the audio mute?? Idk how to fix it tell me how to but I always have to scroll to the very start of the vid for it to start turning on the audio or wearing headphones, but I recommend using this editing app either way cuz other than that this editing app is really good! (It’s very famous for tweening now so go and try it!) ❤️

It’s alright.. It’s an amazing editing app once you figure out how to use it, though the 20-30 second to export it, is a bit annoying, the lag is terrible but that could just be my phone. Although I’ve tried a least 5 seperate times to open the app and export my 23 second video, it just doesn’t work- yes I still have to watch the add. I swear I’ve watched the same 20 second add 7 different times. It just freezes 3/4 of the way threw or after the full add, it goes black like it’s loading but it doesn’t load. (I’ve waited up to 4 minutes) so PLEASE fix that, the editing part is amazing!

Amazing. Probably the best editing app I've ever used besides After Effects. I only got to use After Effects as an education subscription, so I don't want to pay for the price it is for personal use. That being said, this application has always been an great alternative. I was using it alongside After Effects, and it can do a lot of what that application can do. Definitely worth the subscription, coming from someone who's used it for years. Can't say I know the experience too well without pro features, as by the looks of it the app is bombarded by ads now, however with a pro subscription you don't get them. The features going pro allows you to use are well worth it for the types of projects you can create. You can almost replicate any After Effects tutorial one to one, which I do fairly often, and utilise plenty of unique graphs and tools. You can also access presets and templates (However, it's good to take the time to learn things yourself so you can create things manually and it feels much more rewarding). They added a feature I requested which was the cloud storage feature (whether other people contacted them about it, I don't know), which was much appreciated. The unfortunate thing is that the app seems almost abandoned, and it hasn't gotten any new content updates since 30 May 2023, and no new social media content since the 7th September of that year. We can't be sure if it will get any in the future. Besides that, it's a great app that I recommend for anyone aspiring to learn or create motion graphics without after effects, and for aspiring editors and fan editors alike. ❤️

Membership. I really enjoy using alight motion, having installed it on both of my phones. Everything is free on device 1 [meaning the effects are free], yet on device 2, I’m required to purchase membership to use the effects. I haven’t paid for membership for device 1, which is odd to me as I have one device that has the effects for free while the other doesn’t. Is someone able to help me out, or at least explain why this is the case?

stop being so greedy for money. i’ve been using alight motion for so long for my edits and lots of the effects need premium for no reason? Some of the effects that are premium aren’t even that good. To get a membership it’s literally $8.00 a week. How bad is that? It just shows how greedy you guys are for money. Think about customers before making stuff like this. We are the people using this app and we won’t use it if you continue to do this kind of stuff. What’s more i come to edit and i’m ready to export when i see that the ads are suddenly 30 seconds long? WHY?? Why do i need to watch a 30 second ad now just to export a video? I could do that on other editing apps without an ad. Ridiculous. Fix your app and your attitude with us.

Bugs fixed. This app is really good I use it for editing my TikTok videos and before I stopped using it because every time I had over 3 overlays it kicked me out so I decided to stop using it then I chalked it out again and it says you guys have improved the bugs and stuff so I downloaded it again and you did! Now I can make high quality videos

Good but fix this. When I downloaded it I accidentally picked limited and clicked out then it wouldn’t wouldn’t let me get the photos again and just gave me some samples which then lead to me needing to re-download it so deleting the app and getting it back again please. I’m begging you to fix this I know that once you press something you can’t fix it right? but it’s really annoying and I just wanted to say maybe you could add a button words like you can add photos if you actually press the wrong thing also limited access out change it you know so I still love them editing app I’m going to try it and I want to watch some tutorials but please fix this. Lagging A LOT. It’s a great app! I usually use it to add overlays and transitions. Although recently it’s been laggy and I am unable to watch my video through without it being blocky and glitching, usually this would be okay as long as I can watch it through once i’ve saved it to my camera roll and it comes out clean. Though now i can neither watch it through cleanly or even save it to my camera roll! This is SUPER frustrating as i spent over 3 hours on an edit! And for me not being able to save it or screen record it has completely wasted all of my editing time :( I’ve tried all the possible solutions like: restarting my phone, deleting many of my unwanted videos that are taking up storage, getting rid of tabs on my phone etc. If i try to watch a video or save it kicks me out IMMEDIATELY :( PLEASE FIX THIS! There is no other way for me to save my videos and i need this to be fixed ASAP!

Good but annoying to use.. It’s a good app, I animate using it, but it doesn’t work good enough. There are glitches in it randomly. Eg: video footage will suddenly turn white for a split second, and I will spend 20 minutes trying to figure out what it is, but not able to. The app will randomly crash on me when animating, then when I reenter, it’ll crash every minute (on the dot) . It pisses me off and I REALLY need it to be fixed. Also, sometimes the footage will stop working, so I exit the project and re enter it , but then the sound stops playing. So then I refresh the app and that’s how it works. Please fix these bugs, thank you.

Love it! However. I’ve been using alight motion for 5 years now and I love the amount of tools that the software offers, of course there’s always room for more effects but I’m content with what they have to offer at the moment. My only issues with the app are the bugs!!! Alight motion is so prone to bug and crash, when I first open a project and press play the video rewinds back to the start after a few seconds and will do this multiple times until it’s able to fully run through the video without breaks. It’s becoming increasingly annoying and it truly makes the app unusable at times. I really love this editing software and do not want to change! Please fix the issues 😭

FAVOURITE APP! But…. Alight Motion is by far one of the best editing apps I have used as someone who has been editing on social media for 4-5 years. There’s many cool effects yet a lot of ads needed to watch so as to export or use the pro effects for free. I have no problem with that because thankfully I have enough patience for it. However, whatever bugs me the most is the amount of times the app crashes. Even just opening the app it automatically crashes and closes on me.

was better before. before i could edit without wifi, with or without premium, but even if you have premium you need wifi to edit. and now theres a bunch of ads everywhere. and everytime i click to add effects it freezes for like 20 seconds, which is frustrating. it never did that before. i even deleted the app and redownloaded it and it keeps doing it.

Needs improvement. Starts playing ads in the middle of editing and it makes the app completely frozen after, constant glitching when trying to play the video and often crashes when you're playing the video/editing, and failed exports after watching ads

The price has increased to $100 a year. For four consecutive years, I have been a regular user of this app, paying an annual fee of $30. However, when I attempted to make an edit one day, I was shocked to find out that the price had more than doubled without any significant updates to justify the increase. This is disheartening since I have relied on this editing app for a long time, and it is unfortunate that I have to stop using it now because it has become unaffordable. It's sad to say goodbye to my favorite app, but I have no choice but to delete it.

lag and exporting issues. its an amazing mobile editing app, but it really needs to step up alot. if you’re looking to make good edits on a phone, this should be your first choice, but not because its so AMAZING but because its the best option available. it has good effects, good features, etc etc but if i could use after effects, i would drop alight motion in a heartbeat. ive been using alight motion for 2 years now, consistently, and im using it almost everyday. my biggest issue is the lag, which most of the reviews are about. its so.. SO.. laggy.. i use multiple different effects and use shapes + copy background to layer them ontop of eachother, so that means im always having many layers (over 70 sometimes).. nd to keep track of them, i tend to group them together. when you group things together, the project will NOT export no matter what. i had to copy my project about 7 times last night and export each part separately, on the lowest fps possible, lowest quality possible, and ungroup all the groups so it would work. i spent about an hour and a half trying to figure out how to export it without crashing. besides the crashing, lag, and exporting issues, adding more effects would be lovely. you guys have space, a lot of it, to add more effects. for some categories in the effects, i dont even have to acroll down to see ll of the effects available. id recommend adding more effects before blurr becomes everyone first choice for editing. Their variety of options for effects is so SO much more than alight motion. in conclusion, its a good app that i wont stop using, but it could really use some updates. it feels a little abandoned by developers, which is so crazy to me because so many people use this app. i dont pay 40$ a year for the bare minimum 😭

Ads everywhere. bro i be trying to edit and everytime theres an ad. Before i had no problem but now it makes you watch an ad to export even without premium effects. And when you do export theres another ad that pops when it finishes. Not only that everytime you switch to a different project it also gives you an ad. What happen to alight motion? Its just like spotify that make the free version bad to make you pay for the premium.

It’s amazing. It’s a great editing app. I love it, it’s pretty easy to use ig you watch tutorials, and once you close the app, your projects save instantly. Exports are pretty fast. I love this app

Awesome animating app. I finally use it as a animating app since I learned how to anime and this app is actually really good just whenever I green screen or let’s say green screen and then group it with something it makes some things white so like it kind of ruined my videos and I always try to fix it, but it doesn’t work and whenever I have too many things on something it just lags out please tell me if the lag is supposed to happen or not and I also have pro since I finally learned how to animate on there

Alight motion Is the best animating app I know and is definitely a go to app. This is the best animation app I’ve ever seen and tried it has helped me so much with my art along with my animation skills and improving does take time but once you understand it it is definitely worth your while and 100% So I suggest you go and try it

Don’t download.. This app is amazing at first, but after you use it a bit it starts to lag, then crash. I made a 10 second edit and I only added one effect, barely any transitions, turned down the quality, and I couldn’t export. Kept crashing. Reset my device and still nothing. I see that a lot of others have this problem, and if you fix it we will all be happy. I advise people to only get this app if they have great internet, and a lot of storage.

It’s an amazing app, but keeps crashing.. Alight Motion has an acceptable amount of transitions and options. However, the app can’t seem to handle itself. It’s extremely irritating that the only way to genuinely lower the chances of the app crashing is to edit in this specific order with the quality way down low. There have also been errors with exporting projects that people, and myself, and worked hours on completing. Otherwise, this is a very good app for editing... at least when it actually functions.

Like having After Effects on your iPad!. Plenty of pro features for creatives. Get complete control over text/title animations, motion graphics, and chromakey in all your videos. Once you figure out how powerful this app is you won’t be able to turn away. Personally, I’m hooked! This is the closest app to After Effects for the iOS device. The interface is fairly simple and straightforward. Doesn’t take much time to figure out where everything is and how it works. There is even an extensive help and updates section integrated into the software. One productivity feature I would suggest is the ability to use the spacebar for PLAY/STOP functionality on the timeline when using Magic Keyboards.

just a few problems. i absolutely love alight motion and i recently bought the membership, which i don’t regret at all. but the only thing is THST alight motion is very laggy, a lot of bugs and it would be very appreciative if you guys took out the bug. the bug does get pretty annoying and a lot of other’s experienced it. people don’t really enjoy the lag while they edit and i don’t have much of a problem with it but it still does effect me. also, the bug has been crashing me out, won’t let me watch my edit, and takes a long time to load. it would be wonderful if you guys take out the bugs not just because of my review but for other’s too. other than that i highly recommend to download alight motion :).

Amazing app, missing a few features but still a marvelous video editing app.. Alight motion is really good, Ive edited for almost a year now and Ive really enjoyed alight motion. The premium is cheap yet still extremely useful and amazing. The effects are great and the movement are great too. The one problem it does have though, is that its lacking smooth slow motion (motion interpolation) and velocity (graphs for speed), which are both very popular and useful tools in editing. These are features that exist on nearly every other mobile editing app, but Alight doesn’t have them at all. While that is unfortunate, the application itself is still a 5/5 to me. I highly recommend it.

Great app with a few issues.. Don’t get me wrong, this app is amazing! However, I have a problem with the subscriptions. I have a huge pet peeve with subscriptions that make u pay once a month/year. I HIGHLY prefer purchases that only make you pay once since I won’t have to worry about having to cancel a subscription I don’t like. I pay using apple gift cards and it’s really inconvenient to have limited time on a subscription if I were to ever love the app. If it was a one-time purchase, I won’t have to waste my time buying another card and continuing the subscription, but instead just having the app forever so I can continue to edit if I got better at editing in said app. Im not here to demand this change but it’s a suggestion as I am willing to pay the price for a one-time purchase.

To much to pay for.... Ok this app is good but there’s to much you have to pay for It’s literally forcing you to pay. And I’m a minor and I don’t have the money. Nor does my dad want to pay for an App. Ik this app has to make some money somehow. But give more options for gods sake! I really want to use the wave effect but I have to pay for it. It makes me really sad. To be honest cute cut pro was way more worth it then this would be. Honestly instead of doing a payed membership just let us buy it off the spot for like 5-8 bucks! Became an insufferable app. In every way Alight motion never fails to disappoint me with not only how it became infested with adds at every turn but to make matters worse it crashes so often you get in a loop hellhole of trying to export something only to have Alight motion crash and you have to watch another add JUST for it too crash again, there are already other apps that can easily replace Alight motion (especially with the fact I don’t have parenting layers /hierarchy.) So not only am I forced to watch ads until I walk out of the room but the app is so laggy it’s impossible for me not to want to find an alternative that doesn’t lag, has layer parenting and Toonsquid has become an promising alternative of its layout changes to be simpler despite its price which isn’t much. Anyway fix your laggy, constantly crashing, ad infested app and maybe people wouldn’t be jumping at the chance to get toonsquid.

Laggy, and watermark is obnoxious, crashes CONSTANTLY. I love alight motion for making anime or just normal edits. I really do. But literally, the lag is so horrible. Whenever i use even small effects like RBG glitch, or ray, or anything, it lags so bad. It makes my video move at what looks like about 1 fps, which... is kind of disappointing? I really want to use the ray effect for cool text animations, and everyone else does too. But it just makes my entire phone really slow. This used to be fixable by turning on “Low Preview Mode”, but it’s gone at the moment for some reason. Then, theres the watermark. I understand that Alight Motion would like to promote themselves by adding watermarks.. but this just isn’t it. The watermark is huge and obnoxiously placed right at the place you don’t want it. Yeah, I could pay for premium, but see.. i’m not rich lol. And lots of other people aren’t either. Back to the lag, it crashes CONSTANTLY. Whatever I do, it just goes black for a second, then brings me to my home screen. It’s literally so annoying. I’m not even doing anything that would cause this. (Trying not to lose my cool while typing this lol). Sometimes, it crashes and i can’t reopen the app, or other times it crashes and the music just keeps going with no way to turn it off. Its very, very annoying. 😐 This is an amazing editing app and all, but the severe lag mixed with the huge watermark just makes it hard to use.

App is great! but... Okay, So I’ve been using alight motion for the past year or two and it has a big improvement and I really like how they stepped up their game with the new version with null and stuff. But there’s a problem, it’s really laggy. Yes, I get that it can be laggy a bit at some times but I was only using a couple effects and the lagging got so bad it powered off my whole entire phone. I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else but this has been happening for awhile. And now ever since the new version came out the lag for me is even worse. I wouldn’t say the fix it where there’s no lag at all but please just try and tone it down it a bit because I cant even make a small edit without it powering off my whole phone. Other than that though, props to alight motion, that new null effect and camera effect, its pretty cool !

Lag and freezes.. Personally, I love alight motion and I use it to make videos for my TikTok account! But it randomly lags and freezes when I try to. This has gotten really overwhelming to me and when I have random motivation to make a video I make it but, oh no! The whole screen freezes and lags I sometimes also get logged out of the app when it freezes. When I log back in after it breaks it makes me watch two ads then I could make my project again. But it always ends up freezing or lagging really bad and then freezing my screen. I’ve gotten really frustrated trying to make a video but then the whole app freezes. Overall I say three stars because it is really easy to make videos and share them but it’s super overwhelming if your screen freezes and lags over and over again.

why. this app ruined my life, career, friendship, and everything i hold dear. i recorded a video of me playing a game, and i was really excited to edit it as my first video. i chose this app because davinci was too laggy for my laptop to handle, and adobe premiere is well, an adobe product. i went through DAYS of editing snipping up a 20 minute video into an 8 minute video. and the more i edited, the more the app got laggy and unstable. huge audio delay, files being broken, crashing, it was a nightmare but i still worked through when it was finally done, i was more than ecstatic to render the video. and after a whole 20 minutes of rendering, i couldnt even save it. ive tried everything, re-rendering, recording the video, i also tried saving but that cost money for NO STUPID REASON i raged for hours until 1 AM even though tomorrows a school day. i told my friends about it and they said it was “my fault” for editing a video on a mobile app, so i raged at them and they told me they didnt want to be friends with me anymore my entire life is ruined because of this app, god forbids nobody touches this app ever again. here i am still making projects on a freaking kids website called scratch instead of moving on with my life and being a youtuber because of this heathen of an editing software

The app crashes at everything, but.... Okay, 1: If I try to group 7, or 3 long things together, the app crashes, and I’m unable to access or edit the project without it crashing, 2. Exporting, Exporting anything will take forever, and crash, repeating what happened in number 1. 3. The watermark. The watermark is gigantic, I know it gives you and option to move it, but then it takes that entire part of the screen. The idea, the idea of the app was good. Most of the stuff used for animation, is free. But the effects are a 50/50, some are free, some are not. I know you can get the app to be better, if you stop the crashing. If it gets updated and fixed, I’ll add a new review, or remove this one. Just please fix it. I use it for most of my video’s effects. But then again, this could all be a device problem. And I am willing to get it fixed if it is. And I am not going to remove the app, but I won’t be using it until a few months after this review. In conclusion: If you’re looking for an app for: tweening, free effects, no big watermarks, and not having a limit before it crashes, I recommend you find a different app, and check in later. But don’t completely forget. Since app can change. As, Someone who got the app, even though it said crashing a lot, it will crash more then you thought.

Pretty good app, but I have my issues with it. I’ve had the app for a couple days and honestly thing it’s great! The transitions are awesome and a lot more than other apps give you if you don’t pay. The only issue I have with the app is that I almost crashes every time I try to do something. This might not happen to everyone and could just be because I use an iPad Mini 2. The crashing is usually fine and tolerable most of the time but I can hardly do anything after I group something. The app crashes constantly after I group something and won’t let me do anything for the most part without the app crashing. If it helps, I use this app on an iPad Mini 2 I forgot the iOS version but I think it’s something like iOS 12.8.4. I dunno if certain glitches/crashes happen if a device is too old/an older version so I just thought I’d say that Overall, I think it’s a good app and would recommend it.

It’s okay. I’ve been using alight-motion for 2 years now. I really like it because it’s very “open” and easier to use than any other app I’ve tried. But, when I use video clips, it gets very laggy to the point where my device gets laggy. This doesn’t really happen when I use it on my phone, but it happened twice with my phone. I’m more comfortable using my iPad when editing. And having to deal with lag is really— uncomfortable, because I can barely export something without getting kicked out of the app. I am perfectly fine with having to use only imagines and not videos, when I edit, but sometimes I want my edits to really just “move and pop” without just having to “stand there”. So if there is a way to fix this, or an update that will fix this, I would really appreciate it if told. But other than that I really like this app

Well its me again😭. Honestly I love this app I don’t use it anymore due to the fact after a minute or so it crashes and i cant use it so everything I’ve made cant even get saved, sure I’ve made complicated and complex projects but the fact i cant even save my work to move it to a app i can actually use without having to see ads or without it crashing is outrageous, I’ve had this app for a bit and its been like this and im not sure why, i know its not my phone because it remained like this ever since I’ve gotten a new one and a bit throughout the old one, I love this app don't get me wrong but all it has stumped down to is just a app i used to love and now cant even use due to it crashing on me 24/7 -sincerely a random little kid again over and out🫡

Its amazing overall but a couple things. I've been using this app for a whole now for a big project I've been doing for gacha life 2 animation. I found one of the scenes I wanted to fully animate and so I added the eyes and the mouth and not just the body of the character, that's when I played it and the lag was HORRIBLE. The lines were very blurry and the animation was choppy. I looked up a couple of videos that could possibly help but they all said to change audio resampling to low except I couldn't find that in settings. I did a couple things like update the app and a couple different things that helped a little. I've only been using this app for a couple months so I'm sorry if I made a mistake and just sound plain stupid XD. Overall thought its a very good app and I recommend it for edits and animations : D 👍 ty for reading

absolutely love the app but..... i waited for so long for alight motion to come out on ios, and i was so excited when it came out. i spent hours on the app the first 2 weeks i got it because it was so addicting. i got the hang of it so fast. i made tons of video edits making my own transitions and using cool effects. i took a break from editing but i started to get back into it again. i made 3 edits ever since my break. the first edit was smooth and i had to problems or glitches while editing. the second edit glitches a lot and my app kept on crashing. now my third edit was a disaster. every second it would lag and crash. since this is an editing software, it’s disappointing on how the app can’t handle the intensity of editing. every time i would group 2-3 clips, it would lag then crash my app. even when i would try saving the video edit into my camera roll, it would crash every time it would be exporting. it finally stopped doing it after i tried so many times but it’s still super laggy, glitchy, and crashing. i never had those problems when i first got the app when it came out on ios. please fix these bugs soon! it would be much appreciated because i enjoy this app so so so much :)

Please change it back!. I’ll first start by saying this app is amazing. There are so many options, and is still pretty good for those who don’t pay for the premium version. But in the one of the recent updates, we were no longer given the option to change where the alight motion watermark is placed. Before, having the option to put the watermark at the top, or the bottom of the screen was an amazing decision because it allowed for the creator to choose which spot fit best with their creation. But now, we are no longer given this option, and this really makes me not want to use the app anymore. It was such a small change, but it helped so much when designing certain videos. If any developer is reading, please consider changing this in a future update to help accommodate for the people who can’t by premium. 😔✌️

Pretty good, but has a few big flaws. This editing app is amazing with all of It’s features and it’s a pretty nice app to edit on, but there are a couple of big reasons why I don’t use this app all the time. First, there’s a crazy amount of lag coming in when you edit until you export the video into your camera roll. In other words when editing the video is soooo laggy and looks like it just has bad internet connection. Then when you want to export the video, you need to fricking watch a 30 second ad to do this. Then after you export you need to watch another ad to save the video into your camera roll. And if you don’t know, people pay money to apps who feature their ads. And if you want to get Rid of that nasty watermark and for the premium package, it’s so hella expensive. It just seems like this app is trying to make money all the time, and it’s quite annoying.

Good app, i just have some suggestions. This is great editing software for a mobile device, but I feel like this app is missing a bunch of effects that could be useful. I don’t have any experience with coding so I don’t know how difficult this probably is, but I just want some more effects so I don’t have to keep going to other apps just so I can use an effect or two. Im wondering if the developers can add a smoother slow motion, and better background remove. I would also want some other effects such as pixel sorter, better CC effects, some type of deep glow, and some way to edit sound, like echo, and being able to adjust the sounds to be higher or lower pitched. What has happened to this app?!!!!!!. I loved this app. I used it every day. I could do everything I needed on it then one day it decided to rip my heart out and stomp all over it. I was working on a project one of my best yet when it kicked me out of the app. I was like ok this happens from time to time it’ll be ok. The next time it happened again and again til I decided to create a new project doing the same thing. The same thing happened again! The thing that really made me mad was the fact that it was just fine a couple minutes before hand. Not one thing was wrong. Now I can only watch and work on any project but the one I need to work on. The app should not be kicking me out 1 second after I open a project. This problem needs to be fixed and it needs to be fixed now. Also why is it that I can never make a group? I made a video not even a second using two groups and now my entire app is being spazzy!

Great! But.... I have been using alight motion for a while and I think it’s legit! But sometimes it crashes when I add another layer. You see, I have been learning to tween and everything was going well! When I add the head or the last part, the app crashes sending me to my Home Screen. I didn’t know if it was my storage because I even tried deleting some projects that I made to see if it wouldn’t crash. When I first got the app it went fine but now it keeps crashing. Was I adding too many layers? Because I was only adding about 5 and my other projects don’t crash even if I have more then even 10 layers! So I would like to know if I was doing something wrong or it’s just the app. Because I also tried deleting the app and downloading it again or even Ben deleting other apps for extra storage. But I definitely would recommend this for people who wanna animate! Thanks!

Awesome editing software just a few problems. So, i use thus app for editing vids and stuff, and most f the options that it gives help a lot and i never even knew i needed ‘em, but just one teeny tiny problem, i had a problem while animating a scene, where when the object was stretched in the stretch option, the resize option did not work, and when i used it, it made the entire thing go away, but i think that was just a bug. Overall, i give the app 5 stars becoz its the perfect app for any type of video editing and stuff. One more thing, this isn’t really a bug or problem, but at times when i want ti crop the picture, i cannot find the crop button, if it is even there, so i would be happy if it was more clear. But i really just LOVE this app, so 5 stars!

lag problems. i’ve been using this app for so long and i’ve always had edits come out great by using this. but it always takes me what feels like an eternity to actually make them because of lag. this app would be SO amazing if you could just fix it. i’ve tried so many recommendations to fix the lag, even the ones that you suggested on your support page but nothing works. i experience weird freezing from only putting very few pieces of media on one project and i’m not sure why?? i understand putting too many pieces of media on one project can cause lag but i usually keep it down. i’ve seen so many reviews like this one. don’t make this seem like a pure hate message. i absolutely love this app. i just wish your team could take the time to read what the people say and take it into consideration. please fix this!!

Lags and crashes. The app is not bad. The effects and items are very smooth but the app lags A LOT if you put certain effects. For example I was working on a video when the app crashed. My phone began to freeze and started to look super choppy (I own a fully updated iPhone 8). I deleted the app but my phone still continued to freeze. This scared me to death cause I thought I would have to buy a new phone 🧍‍♀️. I barely managed to turn off and reboot my phone due to the lag. This all took be around 30 minutes to do. I really enjoyed the few edits I could create, but I will never download this app again unless I really need it. Anyway PLEASE consider fixing the bugs! It’s a great editing platform but the issues drown out all the complimentary items and overall easiness of the app. I really do love the app though so I am still considering if I will try to use it once again.

Great graphic and great for edits but lags. I LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH IT SO GOOD FOR MY EDITING! I use the subscription on my app and I really like it. The app is probably the best if not one of the best mobile editing apps however the amount of lags and crashes is insane. After I work hours on an edit I get to the point where just pressing a single button makes it lag and that is not okay. I am very concerned that I’ve been using this app for years and with the amount of updates it’s gotten it hasn’t fixed most of the bugs that occur. If the app gets really bad sometimes I have to delete and reinstall the app to get to run smother but I have elements that I always have to remake after deleting the app and it’s just really annoying. So yeah, great app for editing but crashes and lags way to much.

Love it! Just one problem... So, I think that Alight Motion is a good app and I love to use it for editing. It has a lot of good features and things. It’s one of my favorite apps, but there is one problem I have encountered. I’m not sure if it’s just me but I’ve been trying to fix this problem but I simply don’t know how. The problem I have been trying to fix is not being able to put text. I’m able to select and use the option, but when I type what I want to be there as the text, it just says “”. As soon as I click the text option the text just pops up as “”, I don’t have a clue as to why it’s happening, but I’ve tried multiple things and no fix for it. It’s most likely a bug, I think but it would be nice if I could get some assistance. Other then that I love the app very much!!

This app is a love-hate relationship. I’m writing this review because of the issues I’ve experienced lately. When I first got the app it worked great, and it was smooth and easy to use. Lately it hasn’t been working properly—if at all. It has been fluctuating between working perfectly fine and not, and it is upsetting me. The playback is just a black screen, and my phone screen has been blacking out completely, (only when I’m in the app) and it will not allow me to export even the smallest of files without exiting out of the app. I shouldn’t be facing any issues as I have a relatively newer phone, and a strong wi-fi connection. Is this because I haven’t purchased a membership? I’ve noticed that it also lowers the brightness of my screen which is a problem.

problem :(. I absolutely love this app but there’s a problem that has been going on with the app. Recently while I try to edit some of my videos it keeps kicking me out after a second of being in the project making. I really hate this, I have tried everything, shut off my device, try to refresh and even duplicate my project. It still doesn’t work, although I don’t want to delete the app because I know my projects are going to be lost even do I have an account there’s way on it to come back. I really hate it and it’s been sending me back with my editing, and my social account. Yes, I also have premium but because of this problem that has been going on for almost a week I cancelled my membership. HOPEFULLY this can be fix because I have been working really hard in my projects for me to lose them. I will also come back and give 5 stars if this is fix within a few days!

Probably one of the worst editing apps I’ve ever used. I, personally, have used a lot of editing apps. And let me tell you, this app did NOT make the cut. It’s pretty laughable, honestly. First of all, why is it so hard to make transitions smooth? For example, I’ve used both Videostar and After Effects before (I still do), and you can make transitions on those apps smooth EFFORTLESSLY. While with this app, I must do multiple things to even make it decent. And I’ve watched multiple tutorials on how to do transitions, so don’t tell me I am doing something wrong. It is naturally just not smooth. It’s very stiff. Second of all, why does the app kick me out whenever I group? I even make separate projects JUST to group, because it kicks me out in my main one. And if I use too many layers of effects on one transition, my project is almost “labeled” to kick me out when I export. Horrible. Honestly. And finally, why does the playback lag so much? I understand that once its exported, it’s pretty smooth and way better the playback, but it’s so annoying having to go over it with my own curser because YOU guys can’t focus on the lag and crashing. Most of the times it even kicks me out when exporting! While the system is beautiful, the lagging/crashing and stiffness in this app makes it a horrible editing app. At least mention these problems to users. Never using again. Not that you guys care anyways.

Its great but there are problems. I really like this app ! It worls well for my editting style and leaves room to expiriment. However, i have had 2 problems. The first is that Alight motion isnt verg user friendly... at all. Probably because of the amount of keyframes, but that isnt the thing that needs to change. Like on funimate, i think there should be an area for tutorials on the front page when you open the app up. The 2nd issue have happened 2 times for me. She first times it wasnt much of an issue, since i only have one photo without any keyframes, but the second time i had spent a few hours on the edit. When i added a group to the edit and tried to run it, it kicked me out of the app. I tried again and the same thing happened when i tried to edit it.

No audio when exporting?. When anytime I try to export a video, an error message would show up but when I export a video without audio it allows me to export it. I am super confused because I don’t get what the audio did for this app to not allow audio while exporting. And the video was only 30 seconds long. The things that alight motion told me to do when I try to export the video didn’t work or help. This is very concerning since many other apps have this problem or audio issues. I can’t add any audio to my video at all. Please do fix this problem. This is starting to get annoying. Other than that, this app is great for editing! I really like how there are lots of features but most of them are locked because of membership. That being the case also made this app not have lots of variability since most of the features are locked. I hope in the future that more options become open for non-memberships.

It good but…. I have used this app for years and really it’s an amazing app to use for editing or other things but then I stopped using the app for about a month or two and ever since then it’s been annoying it’s glitching, not loading my videos, when I try to use the graphs it resets meaning I have to put my keys again which I hate, it stops the video randomly when I try to play it, it kicks me out, and many other things. I have cleared my storage and deleted the app many times but it has not solved anything just made things worse. I hope all these things can be resolved because I don't want to use any other editing apps since I have been using Alight Motion for almost about 3 years. Ads. Alight motion is a really solid app! It’s easy to make videos with…however, there are way too many ads. Sometimes you will click on the keyframe and boom there’s an ad, same with the effects menu. And let’s not talk about the subscription prices. All it offers you is no ads, no watermark, and more effects. Other apps would charge no more than $20. I know you want money but this is not the way to do it. And the fact that everytime you open the app/create a new project the thing to buy it pops up is annoying. Lowering the subscription prices and bringing back watching ads to remove the watermark and get access to paid effects is definitely a better way in my opinion. Or using banner ads instead of full screen ones. Also, PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD INTERFACE!!

Wow!. First let me start by saying, I’m blown away by this App. I’m a professional motion designer and spend at least 30 hours in After Effects every week. I’ve been obsessed with portability for the last several years. And have been impressed with the iPad’s performance. My goal has always been to be able to do my job entirely from an iPad. I needed to be able to edit video, illustrate, and animate entirely from an iPad. Motion design was the final piece to the puzzle and I’m very happy I found this app! Much of what I do in After Effects is incredibly simple and could easily be done inside of this app. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is so the devs know there’s still a lot of room to improve. But as is I think every motion designer needs this app, and with even some minor improvements I think this app could in some cases replace the need for After Effects. I’m very excited for the future of this app!

It’s amazing! But there’s some issues.. This App is amazing! This app is probably my most favorite app editing app in the Apple Store to be honest with myself. It’s simple (when you first started using this app, it’s confusing and hard but when you get used to it, it’s simple) in my opinion. This was my 1st editing app that I ever used to make edits. But the problem is that, I would always crash, when trying to play the video, or trying to export it. And the other thing is whenever you play the video. Most of the time, the video is laggy. I would always get frustrated when trying to play the video without crashing and trying to export the video without crashing too. Is there a way that you guys can fix it? If there is please fix it! Me and the other people that uses this app would really appreciate it!

Amazing app but. Okay so I’ve been using alight motion for the past year I would say. And in all that time I hadn’t had a problem with it. I was able to export my projects it didn’t glitch, nothing went wrong with it. But last month it started acting funky. I use alight motion to make anime edits. But when I tried to add another video it lagged really bad then it kicked me out. But this had never happened to me before so I was a little surprised when that happened because I only had 3 photos on the project. I went back into the app and tried to keep editing. When I clicked on the photos it let edit them for about 10 seconds, then it lagged, and kicked me out. Don’t get me wrong, I REALLY like this app. But when this happened it made me really upset because I couldn’t really do a ton of editing.

A Great App With A Small Problem.. So, i have used this app multiple times for edits and yt vids, i haven’t had any problems with editing until a few days ago :(, when i was editing with a keyframe with the 3rd option, the width and hight kept going to 0,0 , 00,00 or some stupidly high numbers, this has bugged me multiple times when i was editing, I’ve had to end/delet projects since it kept going back no matter how many times i reset the app, I’ve tried editing in the app with an iphone (i use an ipad to edit) and i never encountered this problem at all. So i have no idea if this glitch happens on certain Devices or if it is only a problem on ipad, and idk if others are also going through this problem. But if you guys could fix this issue, it would be appreciated. :)

Too expensive + Constant Lag. Hello! I have been using your app for multiple years over multiple devices and i think it is a great app. I have made hundreds of edits with it and overall the app is very good, but, over the years I have also had many complaints. For one, the subscriptions are WAY too expensive. a weekly subscription is $5 and it’s displayed as a “cheaper” option to the yearly subscription when it costs more to buy this one YEARLY than the actual yearly subscription; and this is a recent problem too, as i’ve been seeing the prices of the subscription rise over the years as the quality falls. Quite frankly, it feels like a scam, seeing as all of your competitors have much cheaper prices with much more content. Speaking of the quality falling, there has been no fix to the constant lag that comes with using too many effects, even if they’re basic. This leads to freezing, crashing, and corruption of files. I know you may say that this is because of my device, but this has been a problem for YEARS across all of my devices including my newest generation iPad with a lot more space than my older phones. This is also, once again, an issue i don’t have with any other editing software. Overall, I think a lot of things could be fixed with this app to improve user enjoyment over all. Thank you!

Love the app, but huge issue. This app is great, it’s easy and fun to use, and I can make some pretty good edits w it. I’ve had it for about 6 months, and maybe 2 months ago whenever I would go to export an edit it would crash at the same precent, at first I thought it was because the file was to big or something but I was able to export videos bigger than that before, it’s would take 5 -7 try’s before it would actually finish. But now it’s keeps crashing at the same precent (60-63 depending on the vid), for every video I make regardless of the file size, I’ve tried taking down the frame rate and quality but nothing changes, I’ve also deleted old edits and still the same project Please help me with a solution or something, so I can keep using this awesome app 🙏

Alight motion why. Alight motion is the hardest thing I have ever done I’m trying to get good at editing and becoming a good YouTuber and I thought because everyone is using this app I want to give it a try and man this was a huge mistake you have to pay for the good effects and transitions I tried everything to get good and nothing is working I’m sick of this I’m never using this app ever again why did you even bother making this so hard what are you achieveing by making this impossible thing I hate alight motion and your tutorials and other creators tutorials aren’t helping at all make this easier and maybe I would redownload this app but until then alight motion is impossible and stupid it’s laggy and crashes a lot and you have good effects that I wish I could use but either way fix this i’m serious I wish I could figure out how to use this app but whatever I give up with this app and getting good at editing Im sticking with CapCut because it’s actually easy you should try making alight motion easy like CapCut

It’s great ✨✨. I used to use Alight Motion for animation, and I’d definitely recommend it to beginners. It’s easy to learn and use, also very good for tweening. The animation doesn’t look cheap or weird, and paying for more things enhances your edits/videos, but you’re still able to enjoy the app and create quality content if you don’t pay. I’ve read some reviews and responses. The developers actually read your reviews instead of sending an automatic response like other people because they actually care about your opinion and about improving Alight Motion for their users. In conclusion, the app is really good for beginners, people who can’t afford to buy extra features, people who can buy extra features, experienced people, and more.

still lag in groups and shakes!. hey, alight motion is one of the best editing apps i have ever used, and i love how easy it is to get the hand of it and use the effects. There are a couple things however, alight motion announced that the lag in groups would be fixed, and i do see that the lag improves but it still crashes and/or lags the whole project. Another thing i would like to say is the Move/Transform effects. I make edits on alight motion and it turns out really good! Except i noticed a few days ago that when i made shakes with those effects, the shake turned out weird and not so smooth. I didn’t like it at all and i don’t know if it’s because something updated, or alight motion coded that on purpose but i don’t like it. I am not able to make a decent edit anymore since i always use shakes to make my projects look good. I hope this brings to your attention, thank you.

It’s great but.... The app is overall an amazing editing app anyone could ever ask for on iPhone/Android or any devices whatsoever. Though, I’m not entirely sure if it’s just me or if anyone else experiences the same predicament I am currently facing but I have made massive progress on an edit that I’ve gotta finish before midnight (personal reasons) and it repetitively kicks me out of the app, crashes, lags whenever I try to either mask two pictures and/or shapes while on the other end of the spectrum, radically shuts my phone off. I’ve been having this trouble since a few days into my commencement of editing again and it’s just really difficult to work when it keeps hurling you out of the app. Hopefully, these issues could be fixed and improved, it would mean so much for all editors and myself included. It’s an amazing app, don’t get me wrong. This merely has something to do with internal works. Thank you in advance!

I love this app! But there is a problem. So first off, I absolutely love this app, it’s really simple and straightforward. Everything is helpful and I feel like I don’t have any limits when using this app. Except for one. So I’ve been trying to use one feature on the movements and rotation area. I’ve been trying to scale up an image with key frames using the scale up thing. But whenever I try to do this, It gets incredibly skinny, to the point I can’t even see the image anymore, then if I don’t quickly undo it, the app freezes, goes to black, and kicks me out. I haven’t had any other problems, but this is a big one for me, as I use this feature a lot!

Great app but two problems.. Alright so this app is literally great for tweening, edits, and more stuff. I love it super easy to use when your into it. I’m a small gacha tweener and this is the only app I been using since 2021. Wonderful app and stuff but there a problem. So firstly, whenever I work hard on something and it crashes then when I go back to it the video I’m making gets DELETED. Please fix that annoying glitch or issuse I can’t stand it my hard working video just get deleted. Secondly, please have a optional for the ads like ‘ turn off turn on ‘ for the ads. It take very long for it to load even when I have good wifi. Please alight motion fix these two problems, but still the best app.

Please just let me edit. This app is great, I think the whole subscription for taking off trademark makes sense, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I close the app and open it again, a pop up appears to ask me to subscribe for a year. The first time I saw it, I tried to click the free version and continue with my business. Instead, it tried to get me to pay for a yearly subscription when I just wanted to use the free version. the only reason it didn’t charge me is because I dropped my iPad instead of trying to exit out. (Thumbprint) Turns out, I was supposed to click the X in the corner that only appears after you click SOMETHING. And normally I wouldn’t care, but I bounce between apps when I’m editing and it’s driving me insane. It comes up EVERY TIME and exists me out of my project EVERY TIME. I literally wouldn’t care if the pop up would just leave me alone. I don’t want a subscription, I’m broke. Oh my god now I’m so frustrated I left a whole review. I’ve become one of those people.

Alight Motion Review. So.. this app is supposed to make my Gacha Videos with better animations? I can agree with this! Although I don’t use Alight Motion a lot is because It’s not a beginner-friendly editing app to use. I use Capcut for a better start with editing and I’m a pro with Capcut now. I really want Alight Motion to be a bit easier for people who are beginners with editing. But the features and effects you can add are amazing! Overall I think this app is really great for people who would like to tween, make cool anime edits, and much more with editing! I don’t suggest using this to edit Roblox edits in such, Roblox edits can be made with After Effects which is a great platform to use effects. But yes, overall I think this is great but I just want it to be a little beginner-friendly.

Cool as hell + Adding a Twixtor effect. Honestly, I got this app thinking: “alright let’s see if it’s worth it,” and honestly I’ve never been more surprised and excited in my life about finally editing on a decent app. Amazing in every aspect (maybe besides the big watermark on the bottom) but nonetheless I don’t think it would be a waste of money to buy this every month because it’s that good. One tip though that I feel like would make your app even more worth it for buyers is adding a twixtor effect or really smooth slo-mo. Your app is for editors and adding a nice slo-mo for certain clips would honestly help us out a ton. It’s so hard to find an app that creates really smooth slo-mo without looking choppy. Please consider this. Otherwise, really cool app, so blown away.
