Really?. I get that it’s free and people have to make money, but really? Everything but the plus button included? While it does work and I’m sure the pro version is fine, it’s just annoying for them to make you pay to add dimensions. I’ll just use google instead of an app.

Lame as hell. I got it to do some cbasic calculating. Opened it up once it downloaded. Realize that the most basic function, the ability to add numbers together, is straight up locked unless you purchase a n upgraded on the app. Stingy, devious, manipulative and downright effed up mind games and poorly thought initial actions of such treachery are just wretched and foul. Crappy devices this company uses to lure in someone and then by the end of it, this has proven to be another crappy app that’s blown out of proportion in regard to the 4 pint whatever rating it doesn’t even deserve in my opinion. I could even finish my first calculation. And that , I simply cannot abide.

Simple and effective. This should be priced at 2.99 off the bat as it’s basically unusable without the in app purchase to unlock the addition button so I get the negative reviews but for 3 bucks this is a cheap quick and simple solution that I needed to add fractions together on my carpentry projects.

Lite version - almost caused a divorce. I don’t see any indication this is a lite version. I don’t mind paying for a useful app but I downloaded this freebie in the middle of helping my wife with a project and now I’m writing a review instead of helping her and she’s looking at me with that look that says “I just needed you to convert that measurement to a fraction and now you’re writing a frustrated review on an app you tried once instead” The lite version does not have the calculator functions unlocked and I didn’t see an easy way to convert decimals to fractions. I’m deleting the app. -edit : I figured out that the lite version will let you do basic math OTHER THAN ADDITION. You have to tap the unit buttons at the top (ft, in, cm, mm) to enable the division or subtraction buttons, but the addition button is still locked out and takes you to a different app entirely, not an in-app purchase. That’s some shady stuff if you ask me. Also, wife forgave me. We’re ok.

Free version locks addition button behind pay wall. So I downloaded the free version but I am unable to use addition function since it is locked. Can only be unlocked by purchasing pro version. By the negative reviews I’ve read i will not purchase pro version but will delete app instead.

Terrible want to do you zero stars but you can’t. First of alllllllł do not immediately asked for a review they haven’t even done anything yet so it’s just a calculator app you don’t need one also you literally need to pay for every operation terrible do not get it

I’m so over this!. I went back in and tried again. It says free, after paying but then when you go into the now paid app that’s free it has 🔒 <—- just like this not allowing you to use them. I’m done. I have pics to prove, and a CC showing multiple charge. Plz refund.

So irritating grrrr. It’s so irritating why Apple allows apps like this on their App Store. Apparently this company started out by having a fully functioning App for a while that actually provided value in people’s lives, thus getting deserved positive reviews. You could ADD, subtract, etc measurements and it shows up on a tape - good deal right? Well this company knew how to game things with sometime over the last year release a “bug fix” which removed the ability to ADD and put a lock symbol on the button, making the App basically useless. If you want to just ADD two things you have to buy a whole different app for $3. Ridiculous that Apple allows this. The screenshots DO NOT match what you can actually do in the app, which is frustrating that people are duked every time they download this App. What’s next? If you want the App to load, you have to buy a different App for $5?!?!? Again with my title: sooooo irritating that company’s do things like this on the App Store and Apple allows it!

Beware. Asked me to rate it immediately after loading it - hadn’t even typed a dimension yet. That was irritating enough but what makes it useless is that you CAN’T USE ADD WITHOUT BUYING THE PRO VERSION. Don’t offer a free version without basic functionality. Just charge for it from the beginning.

The + button locks, after short time. You basically have to upgrade and pay, even after already paying (see the Pro version comments).

Don’t Waste Your Time. I would happily buy extra features if I could see how the app worked in the first place. You can’t even do basic addition. What a waste of time.

No class. Have a free app and lock up the plus button that is so cheesy you think that since you’ve tricked someone into downloading that they will purchase the plus button I would pay $1 million for another app before I would activate that button of yours go onto another line of work like lifting something heavy that’s what you’re qualified for you’re not smart have a great day Ken Hudson

Free version can’t even add. I wanted this to quickly add up measurements for doing molding. I don’t need any of the “fancy” features, just a literal adding machine. Guess I’ll just convert everything to inches and divide by 12 for feet and inches. Would have been way faster than screwing around with this stupid app.

Can’t add. I thought the whole point of a free version of a paid app is to give a demo of the app that would be good enough to draw in a potential buyer for the paid version. One would think a simple plus button would be a basic necessity even for a free version, but apparently not. Seems ridiculous that they allow subtraction, multiplication and division, but block the most useful feature, rendering the app useless for someone trying to do some simple construction math. Totally useless, deleted the app immediately.

Free to look at!. Don’t be fooled, to use this app you have to pay for the Pro version! You can’t even do simple addition with this free version. The Addition button is locked and a pop-up comes when you select it. Total waste.

False description. The add function is disabled. This is not in the description. The description presents it as a fully functional calculator. I don’t mind paying for apps that do what I need or paying for an upgrade if the trial was presented as limited. I won’t support a developer who misleads their potential customers. You have to pay to be able to use the main functions.. It allows you to download the app giving it the impression it’s an actually useful app but once you actually try to use the calculator it wants you to PAY.

Bo functions until paid for. All it allows you to do is enter numbers. There’s no button to convert and the addition button Is locked until you pay!

Terrible and misleading. Doesn’t let you use the basic functions of adding without paying $2.99 and after you do such you cannot use the decimal function even though it appears as a button. Waste of money. I want a refund!

Basic, but.... ...I agree with the prediction complaint. It's a little irritating. While I don't use this for much more than household projects (I'm not a carpenter, or work in construction), it works just fine. The display of a tape measure in the answer is fabulous. My eyesight is not the best, and it really helps. Thanks!

Ugh.... So it’s free but you get bombarded with ads! UGH!! I downloaded the app and when I first opened it an ad popped up! So Irritating when you just want to use the app. Going to delete it and go buy a calculator that works when I need it to and does not show ads!

Wasn’t even able to try out features. I downloaded the app to test it out, to see how accurate and reliable it was. I entered in the feet and inches and went to add it to the other dimensions…it wouldn’t even let me add them together without purchasing the app. How am I going to find out if this is a good product if I can’t even try out very basic functions?? Next time just put a price on it, don’t waste people’s time.

Nothing I s free. Nothing is free in this app - you only realize that when you try to ADD two numbers...you must pay a large fee before you can unlock the add button. I don’t mind paying, I just don’t like giving my money to scammers.

Blatant money grab. Easy to use interface with a horrible twist...you must upgrade to the ‘Pro’ version for addition. ADDITION! Subtraction, multiplication and division keys operate normally however the addition key has a superscript lock over it. When pressed, a pop up screen appears to inform you that addition can be activated by upgrading to the Pro version. Who develops an app that requires an upgrade to perform the app’s MOST BASIC function?! Given the number of positive reviews, this must be a new strategy by the developer as I can’t see anyone giving the thumbs up to a calculator app that doesn’t add. Ahhh well. Back to the App Store to find a different calculator!

Info. When I add feet and inches together it gives you the answer feet and in inches it’s decimal form which can be a bit confusing for some people.

Using the app. I just opened the app and I get rating screen, maybe I can use it first before I rate it?

You have to buy it to use + button. AVOID THIS ONE! They make you buy the full price version in order to use the addition button. The entire application is pointless without the full paid version. I downloaded it, tried to use it, and deleted it all within five minutes.

+ button cost money. What an incredible waste of time downloading this. The app is free, but don’t plan on doing any addition with this calculator...you have to pay money to use the “+ button”. What a joke.

Poor monetization.. Can’t even use the + button without it begging you to upgrade to pro. Opened the app and it asked me to rate it before I even entered a measurement. Fix this. At least let me do a few calculations before you LOCK me out of the app.

Do you have to buy a version that is 2.0?. I went to go put in a problem that I commonly use and the app will not allow any calculations to be computed into the phone. It says I can upgrade to a new module but I downloaded this app to help me when I need to check a receipt or do some homework with my kids.

Misleading at best.. Has ads, locked plus button, and did not allow me to input fractions of an inch. $1.99 isn’t a bad price, I just would like to have known it was going to cost me to do anything on the app before I downloaded it. I’ll just delete this one and find something else, even if it costs me more.

Underhanded bait and switch. I couldn’t even do one calculation because I had to unlock the addition button which meant I had to purchase the app. Should’ve just put the purchase price upfront, waste in space in my apps or on my cloud

Decent. Works well adds get annoying

Unaware of ”Lite” Classification. When I tried to use the calculator I was met with an unexpected complication. The calculator would not allow me to input a function. I could put in numbers but nothing more without being redirected to the app store for the purpose of another app download. In fact, (with the exception of the numbers) anything I touched redirected me to the app-store to download a separate app. It was a waste of time and frustrating; however, I can attest that the graphic design was pleasant to look at.

You have to pay to use the + button. It makes no sense to have to pay in order to do addition on a calculator. It would make more sense to charge for the ability to calculate mm-ft or mm-in

Worst App Ever. I downloaded this app to do some basic math for a few projects, and this app will not allow you to add, subtract, divide, or do anything without upgrading to the pro app for $7.99. This is a complete waste of time

Interesting display. So far I like the ease of use especially inputting fractional measurements. Many other calculators need additional inputs g to obtain data needed.

Cheap. Free version of the app allows you to enter feet and inches, but if you want to add (calculate) numbers you must buy the “pro” version. So this is not an in app purchase. Pretty sneaky and cheap way to squeeze a couple of bucks out of someone.

Pay to unlock the + button????. I can’t believe they want people to pay to unlock the + button. The fraction feature is clunky and takes some getting used to. I’m going to keep looking for something better.

Used to be great. I liked this app until today. The update said minor bug fixes. Instead I can no longer use the app because unless I upgrade to the paid version the addition button is locked. Used to be 5 stars but Since I can’t give it 0 stars it gets a 1.

Can’t add without buying. You expect to pay for advanced features on a free app, but this on locks the addition button. The most basic function you may want and you have to pay for that option. So basically useless unless you want to buy it. Just make it a paid app.

Did what I asked of it.... I’m not in the construction industry, but I am building a new house and needed to make some quick calculations from the survey. While not the prettiest or most intuitive UI (you can’t tell I want inches after I’ve just pressed feet and am typing more digits?), it did everything I asked of it. One star off for the lack of prediction once units have been established (who would write something as 6’9cm?) If I type 6’9 before hitting an operator (+/-/x etc) the app should know that’s 6’9”, I shouldn’t have to tell you it’s 9”. Another star off for forcing me in to portrait mode... on an iPad that’s a major pita. Beyond those gripes, as I’ve said, it did what I asked of it without throwing ads at me. For my low volume calculations it’s great, but if you need an app like this for daily use, I’m not sure this would be best (but try it out, I’ve no idea what the competition is like and this may be great relative to them).

Deceptive app. This app is broken. It only serves as an ad for a paid app. The developer released an update that disabled all functionality after receiving enough reviews to give it decent numbers.

ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!. To do EVEN THE MOST BASIC maths equations such as 1+1, there’s a micro transaction. If you thought that a company like EA or Epic Games were already money hungry, then they are nothing compared to this. It’s like they’re trying to take the piss out of those companies by charging money to do a simple maths equation. AVOID THIS APP LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Do not buy!. You literally have to pay $5 to use the addition function. That’s right: five bucks to add two numbers together. Also can’t do multiple sums (e.g. 5mm x 10mm x 54”) or negative values. Save yourself the time and money, and just use Google!

Why not just ask for the money from the start. While I understand the need to be compensated for your work, to lure people into a download and making the absolute base functionality an in app purchase is borderline dishonest. I would say if your app is any good be upfront ask for money at the time of download or at least give people a free trial so they can test.

Bought this and now I have to buy it again?. I bought this app several years ago, I think I paid $30 or $40 at the time. Calc was amazing! I needed it for another project and the Calc is now suitable for elementary school kids. I have to buy it again to get the more advanced functions!

lame. This app will add and subtract decimal numbers and give you fractions as well as decimal answers- etc, but if you want to calculate feet and inches it will deny the entry of a decimal- for example 8’ 8.5” will not allow you to add enter the decimal. Stupid. Also no way to do any advanced math, like sq root etc.
