- No share link in the app

Ok, I love the Quest and the app for that matter. My one big gripe is that there is no easy way for me to share a link to games in the Oculus store right from the app. Often I want to show a game I’m looking at with friends and family, and there just isn’t any convenient way from inside the app. This seems like a huge oversight from a company owned by Facebook who basically invented the share button. Nearly every other app on the iOS app store has this functionality as it is built right in to their API. I can click the share icon and share however I like. How has this feature gone missing? Seems like a no brainer. I would also like to be able to buy games from my phone/account for the other headsets in the family. Currently this process is extremely clunky and inconvenient. Make it easier to buy/share games and I assure you if you fixed these issues you would see a marked improvement in software sales, as well as go a long way to making your customers happier and less frustrated. Take a good long look at Xbox Live, PSN, or even the iOS app store and model your services after the best of each of them and the Quest will be even more of a hit.

- Amazing system, great and easy to use app

So, if you’re reading this, your either a possible customer or someone who works for Oculus. For the customer, here’s what I have to say: It’s a great app, I have an Oculus Quest and it works wonderfully. Definitely worth it. Now, for the Employee/Representative: I love this app, as well as the system I bought (the quest) but, I have one thing I’d suggest. I don’t have a credit card, so I buy Apple Giftcards for the App Store and use those to pay for things. I did this and attempted to buy AriZona Sunshine from the app using that idea, but it prompted me with a screen asking for either a credit card or PayPal (I have none) so my suggestion is to make it so you can pay for games through the Apple-Appstore and it be a separate thing that you can do, but also completely optional. That’s my suggestion, love the Quest, keep up the great work 👌🏻

- Updated review and Fix for pairing oculus quest

Okay, I finally got past the pairing issue I had where the oculus quest refused to pair. It turns out it was an issue where the iPhone required an iOS update and once I did that, it paired no problem. Developers should please add this to the help with setting up an oculus quest. After that, smooth sailing. App is great, quest works really well. While the battery life will last about 4 hours, it’s still good enough because you don’t want to be in it too long. All the apps and games are great. I hope more become available soon and that more become cross play as I have an oculus rift also and would enjoy some of those games on the quest as well. Beat saber is crazy good! Also, the oculus app has no lag or issues and you can find the games easy. I would like to see a complete browse all feature so you can scroll through every game available - not sure if I missed it. App is same on phone as it is within headset. Flawless integration. I would like to see a power off feature inside the headset instead of pressing and holding the button to shut down. Keep up the great work!

- Great app for Quest owners

I e seen many 1 star reviews that make no sense. They are rating the app based on their experience with their headsets. If I were to review the Oculus Quest it would definitely get 4.5 stars. The app however gets a full five stars as it does so much cool stuff. My favorite thing is being able to check my battery while charging my headset. Also being able to see if I need new batteries for my controllers is awesome. I know those data points are on the Quest Menu Bar but when your charging you may not have the Quest available to check so you can use the app. I love that I can buy and install games directly to my headsets from the app too. There are just so many cool things this app allows you to do. I’ve seen lots of tech and I’m not easily impressed by tech nowadays however the Oculus Quest and this companion app have highly impressed me. I haven’t been wowed like this by tech since I first wrote a program in basic back on a TRS-80 (Trash 80 for those who remember them) in the mid 80’s(I’m old I know). Thanks for an exciting and joyous experience both in the app and on the console.

- Best VR App ever

I love this app, the oculus quest 2 was released so recently and we got one on the 24th of October 2020, I love this app and what games have to offer, but I think it’s missing one game that I really want to play on VR, and that is Island 359, yeah sure it’s on the app but only on the Oculus Rift and Rift S, and that’s a Headset that you need a pc for. I very much wish Island 359 was available for purchase on Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2, other than that it was amazing, I remember downloading the app way before and found out you need a Facebook account to get into the app, then I uninstalled the app and when my sister got the headset, she had installed the app and I forgot about the matter. After some time, I decided to download the Oculus app once again and at that time I didn’t realize that I had installed the app before so it was reinstallable at the time. I love the app and funnily enough I also found out that one of the games known as “Rec Room” was on VR, PS4, PC, and Mobile, I laughed a lot at the time.

- Needs Updating

While the app works, it’s not without issues. I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and the app is poorly designed from a UX standpoint. The margins are too thin on the top and bottom and it seems like the developers just ignored Apple’s “safe area” suggestions. It’s difficult to tap on the search icon because it overlaps the network/battery icon in the upper right corner (same for the back button when it appears on the upper left). Once you do get the search bar opened, it’s under the notch and takes several taps in random spots to open the keyboard. The icons at the bottom of the screen are also under the home indicator. Aside from those issues, videos rarely load. I know it’s not my network, every other app works fine and I’ve tried on various different networks. Half the time the screen will just turn black and you have to close the app and reopen it. If these issues are resolved, I’ll be sure to update my review. But, as of now, the app is a mess and needs work.

- Always bugs

Between bugs and poorly documented quirks, this can be so aggravating. What to fix (Aug 2020): social icon is a black hole. Doesn’t work and have to force close app. Pairing is super weird sometimes. This app tells you to go to Bluetooth settings, enable and pair. That may not be correct. Check the oculus app settings (hard to find) and enable every thing. There are too many ways this fails, so better documentation and trouble shooting would make sense. The headset has its own issues I could leave out such as crashing/freezing while in the store! It updated without me knowing, remained in loading (ellipsis) forever. Then I couldn’t see the controllers as it went into a new tutorial of old features I couldn’t skip. Please focus on stability before adding features. I’m a sr sw architect. This is poor ux, but I will compliment for making it slightly better a year or so later. It would be great if there was documentation on how to make the best of PCVR. The app says Rift and Go, but not Oculus. Update the descriptions. I’ve seen this in many other places like Steam. Idk what works or not.

- Troubles pairing oculus quest

When I got my oculus quest for Christmas, I was told to download the app to set it up. I set it up and played it for a while. A few months down the road, I was always asked to enable Bluetooth on my phone to connect to my oculus. Even though it was on, my oculus was never able to connect, but I was able to use the oculus and somehow be able to download content onto the oculus, but I could never stream any of my gameplay onto my phone. I’ve asked him he support team many times for help and they never gave any advice other than turn on and off your Bluetooth your phone. That never works and I’ve tried everything from deleting and redone loading the app to doing a factory reset on the oculus. After I have done all of that, the oculus will show up as a device to connect to on my phone, but if I click connect, it will for a second and then disconnect. If anyone is experiencing the same or has experienced the same, please reply and help me out.

- Recommendations to the devs

I love my quest 2, i’ve saved up for quite some time and it was worth it. I want to give some recommendations to the devs to help with the app. Maybe you could make communication easier? I would like to be able to have an oculus party with my friend even if he isn’t on his quest at the moment. I’m only 13 and i’m not allowed to have a facebook account to of course, i use my dads with his permission. but i wish that it didn’t display my fathers name. I wish that we could have the option to hide our real name and just use our online ones. Maybe you could make it easier to set achievements for you and your friends. I would want to maybe invite my friends to my achievements rather than have to manually tell them. All in all, it’s a great headset and i’m in love with it. Thank you for reaching.

- Ok...

This thing is amazing! I have been playing on my oculus for hours and I haven’t gotten sick of it at all! The games that you can download seem to be limitless! There are two main problems for me though. First one being that my pin I need to buy games, I never got what it was. I never got headset pin to buy games so rec room is the only game I can really get that can satisfy me. And second, the app is not letting me switch to a different Facebook account and it won’t let me use a different one. I was hoping the creators of oculus could make an option to change what Facebook account that is used and not have a single account since I have a second account that actually works.

- BEWARE FACEBOOK

If you recently purchased an Oculus system, believe me, you’re better off returning it than mailing all of your personal info to grubbing Facebook. Allow me to explain; Every feature involves the disclosure of EVERYTHING involving YOU. Your credit card number, your email address/home address, even your phone number! Additionally, the “Beta” features such as “voice chat” and “hand-capture motion” record the size of your hands and the tone of your voice to determine the kind of individual you represent. If you aren’t sold on this idea, look online regarding Facebook’s antitrust issues and desperate groping for every shred of personality that a consumer may unwittingly provide. Unless you want to sell your own identity to a third-party that can know you more than you know YOURSELF, avoid this app at all costs! I have been in this situation before, and my regrets are even greater than the sheer wonder that Virtual Reality provides.

- Multi-Billion Dollar company can’t maintain an app

This is by far the worst app experience I have ever had. I thoroughly believe a single programmer creating their own app from scratch in their spare time would have made a better app than this. From the get-go, you experience app crashes, freezing, and downright impossibility to move forward without hard closing and resetting the app. If nothing else, PLEASE consider this app before you purchase an oculus device. It took me nearly 1 hour to get through the set up portion of the device ALL thanks to this downright terrible app. If you’d like to try to return a game you recently bought? Good luck having the app work long enough for you to go through the return process. It seems absolutely insane that a company as big as Facebook can’t spare enough resources to fix some of the most app-breaking bugs there can be. I cannot wait to get through this return so I can get this god-forsaken app off of my phone for good.

- Lovely, but landscape mode? Please?

As a new VR adopter, but not new to tech, I really enjoy the app experience in how it lets me manage almost everything about my Quest 2 from my phone or iPad. *especially* my iPad. The bigger screen makes it easy to navigate in a pinch even with the headset on in pass through mode. That said, I really wish the app supported landscape mode on iPad! That’s literally my only gripe right now. As part of a desktop setup, my iPad is always in landscape and usually controlled with a mouse and keyboard, so its really annoying (in the scheme of things) to either tilt my head or pick up the device from its dock/place in order to manage the Oculus App. Thanks babes, I hope you can add this!

- Glitchy for the money you pay

I was excited to get my Oculus Quest last December. For the money we paid for the headset, its glitchy. 1. Advertised as “All in One”. This is mostly true, but what they don’t tell you is, if you want all the cool games that came with previous VR, you will have to use Sidequest. If you don’t have a super powerful gaming computer, sorry for your luck, you are limited to what is available on the app. Not a horrible selection, but if you are looking to play Half Life Alex, you need Sidequest. Not everyone has a gaming computer and can use Sidequest. I am sure there is a way it can be done with the right programming on the part if Oculus . If not, then Oculus needs to get ta uploading. 2. Streaming/Casting to Google Chromecast has never worked for me. No matter what try. I am on a lot of forums and most people have this issue. Fix it. This stuff is expensive. 3. Casting to iphone has a huge lag 4. Is there nothing that can be done about the hideous Avatars? They all look like men. Hideous men at that. No, I am not against Gender ID, but I am a girl, and I want my Avatar to look like a girl. Please fix this. 5. What ever happened to Horizons? 6. plus one star for adding new games regularly and another for allowing outside developers.

- Set up utility for Oculus Go worked Ok

Worked fine and used it to get oculus go set up. This app has the store and setup screens for the stand alone headset, and recently added WiFi streaming, which was really helpful when showing relatives what VR is like because I could put their view on the phone and help talk them through how to play better and they could give each other advice. They really enjoyed the Keep Talking and Virtual Virtual Reality ones. The app can also be used to pair other Bluetooth devices to the headset besides the little controller, and some games can also work with a game controller. I really enjoyed Defense Grid 2, it was a nice tower defense style science fiction adventure.

- Still no casting (Major Fail)

I love the idea of the go and I enjoyed the initial implementation of the headset. That being said the only issue that I have a problem with now that’s ruining the experience is that there is still no casting or a release date. If you aren’t ready to activate casting then why put it into the app update notes? Also, why is it that despite being a major feature request, there’s zero information about its progress or an estimated release date other than “soon”. If you really want your initial go adopters to push for your product then why take away the one thing that could help them promote the headset to others? In summary, it’s a fun headset for a while but without the added social feature you might use the headset once every couple of weeks just to see if there’s anything new (which there won’t be).

- Why a oculus quest is perfect for 9 year olds

I’m a 9 year old and I really love it so far I’ve had it a month and I can’t stop using it it’s perfect for parents to get this for their kids cause it’s basically a fun exercise from all the movement but I recommend taking a break every 2 hours to help not get motion sickness and to let the head set cool down and charge I also need some smaller kids playing so I can get friends cause I don’t have any🥺😭so please get your kid a break headset it’s not only for me to get friends but it’s for your kids to and also most people don’t say bad words if you don’t get your kid one this will be his and my face😞😖🥺🥺😞😞😞😖😖😖

- Almost Perfect!

I love the easy access to the oculus store. I really appreciate that I do not have to put my headset on every time I want to buy a game my friend tells me about. I love that I can start a game in the headset before I’m ready to play it to warm the headset up and reduce loading times. One thing is missing though: Often, I will find an amazing game in the Oculus AppStore, and I will want to share it with a friend. Unfortunately, either there is not a “share app” button, or it is just really hard to find. Please add a “Share App” button in the Oculus Store! I would love to be able to send my friends a direct link to the cool new game I want them to try!

- Unable to sort app reviews or access version notes

I love using this app as it makes it much easier to manage apps on the Oculus Quest, but with the recent update I no longer have the ability to sort app reviews or access the version + release notes. I like to sort the reviews by most recent for when apps are upgraded so I can get a better idea of how the app is now instead of seeing older reviews. Also, I can’t access the version + release notes for applications anymore either. I use to be able to click on the version + release notes under the app details and see what has been updated on an app. I am still able to do this if I access the Oculus store from a PC so I am using that as a workaround, but it would be great if you all could restore these functions back to the iOS app.

- 2 bugs that should be a top priority

Watching video trailers of apps makes the screen go black as a lot of more recent reviews are describing. iPhone 12 mini layout puts the top and bottom menus at very top and bottom of screen nearly overlaying the top status icons like time and battery and the home button. This makes it difficult to navigate as the touch points sometimes register for actions that aren’t intentionally being touched. Lastly when you “favorite” (heart icon) an app: it’s not a favorite, it gets added to a wishlist, just my opinion the icon shouldn’t be a heart, maybe a checklist instead. You should be able to access the wishlist from your account, profile or library (maybe all?). Either way it’s not clear when you add them to your wishlist where to go to view your wishlist. Other than the small fixes a great companion app. I’m sure these are on the backlog but they need to get prioritized higher.

- Oculus review

What do you do? You by apps in the oculus store so that way it can download to your headset, and you can also cast it to your phone so that way people can see what you are doing. What’s casting? Casting is something where you ask permission to cast on the persons headset and from there you can see what they are seeing. Is there any app purchases? Unless you count buying games from the store, there are absolutely no app purchasing, plus there are no adds. Are there any glitches? For me right now I don’t see any glitches or lagging for my quest. Really?! well are there any kind of way to access your headset? Yes it’s actually easy. You just need to be hooked up to the internet and have an email username/password ready to go. Once your done with that then you’re free to do anything you want in your headset. And that is the oculus review. Make sure this gets on the top of the most helpful page so that way more people can buy this app so they can buy games from this awesome app!

- Screw my life

So one thing I was playing on it making a video and my mom said it was really dark she turn on the the light so one thing I was playing onword and when she turned on the light sens you become short you have to kind of go to your way around the system(I swear if AutoCorrect is going to keep doing this I’m gonna have a tantrum) and then it tried resetting my entire boundary and I am literally right after playing I am writing this now oculus please read it was such a long video and you wasted my time I could’ve been playing that game without recording and not had a problem but no you decided that if even the light changes that will happen why would you do that I am crying because of you all I need now is for you guys to put Minecraft on please put Minecraft on we can forget about all this

- Can’t do its most important job

29 updates in the past six months entitled “Bug fixes and performance improvements” and yet, this app still can’t maintain a solid connection when trying to screencast from the Quest. Doesn’t matter that both devices are less than 2 meters from my router, my phone gets disconnected a few minutes after connecting. Then, the only way to reconnect is to restart my phone completely. This is not a new issue. I’ve had the same problem since it launched—with an older iPhone and now with a brand new one. So the geniuses at Facebook can manage to ruin 200+ years of democracy yet they can’t seem to network two devices for more than 5 minutes? You gotta be kidding me...

- This app needs a lot of work.. holy macaroni

You would think Oculus being so high tech they would get basic things down in the app.. No.. oh no definitely not Like a video player? How hard could it be to screw up a video player? I was able to do this in CompSci 101... Let me tell you.. When you try to expand a video form the store in full screen.. The app has a absolute meltdown.. All hellll brakes loose.. Basically your phone almost explodes.. Every single time I press that square to expand a video.. I basically need to get a new phone it’s that bad Don’t even get me started on the fact that the go back little x button is covers by the iPhone search button and when you try to go back it expires the app...... 🤦‍♂️

- Are commenters trolling? Easy setup

I was reading the comments, and most of the 1 stars are bizarre. I can’t tell if they are trolling or completely confused to be nice. (Anyone read the comment about watching Netflix in VR from the app🤔) The app is extremely easy to use. It’s more of a convenience. Once you’re Go is setup which is a minor process, the app really isn’t needed. I use the app for notifications on events and apps that go on sale. One doesn't even need the app after setup currently, but it’s nice to have for those two features that I mentioned.

- Good app that’s getting better all the time

I been using the app since it showed up on App Store.... LoL sort of need it for the quest. And it was a rough start but they have been working on improving it and it’s gotten sooooooo much better. We use the casting all the time so we can help our special needs kiddo play....would love to see some sort of accessibility feature that helps with sight like a zoom for the casting where tapping the screen puts a zoomed bubble next to the finger to help with reading things... thanks for all the hard work

- Important problem with battery

So, recently my phone has been draining its battery, and I went to check Battery in settings. As the title may imply, it said the Oculus app was eating up /50% of my battery/ It had been running in the background apparently. I hadn’t had it open for more than 3 minutes in the past few days, and despite my small knowledge of technology I know it shouldn’t be doing that. Have you heard similar reports, or is it just me? Besides that, a wonderful app that makes finding and downloading new things easy and convenient :)

- Casting

I like how the developer only seems to answer reviews that are NOT about casting. MAJOR casting issues!!! Apparently works for some, but doesn’t seem to work for most. I’ve had my quest for a year and opened numerous tickets, yet nothing has improved. I tried to use both Chrome Ultra and NVIDIA Shield and neither worked. That’s over $260 spent buying into their casting ability claims. App just doesn’t see them. Quest doesn’t see them. Only option is to cast to mobile app. Definitely an Oculus problem. At least I am able to see through these reviews that there is a TON of people here with the same problem. Just wish Oculus would come out and admit the problem and honestly work to fix it.

- Why doesn’t the App support Apple Pay!

I like the VR experience, but I don’t understand why you have to enter payment information in the app. Usually all Apps use the payment feature from your iTunes account. Is it because of the privacy terms or how facebook gives information to third-parties? Or why not Apple Pay it’s more secure... Please some of the games offered on Oculus say they will collect email & phone numbers and information from files... now please tell me what files are third parties looking at on your phone...

- Quest? Fun! This app? Horrid!

This isn’t a review of the Oculus quest, which works quite well. This is a review of this particular app. What’s wrong with it? Well, in this latest version, you can no long search. Sure, you might be able to bring the search bar up on the homescreen, if you’re really lucky, but from there you’re screwed. As the search bar doesn’t accept any keyboard input. Nothing. Not to mention the sorting of titles in this app is a game in itself: without a search functionality forget trying to anything relevant, except whatever Oculus chooses to shove down your throat. It’s beyond absurd. Anyway, skip the app and just use your headset. It’s a functional usage experience.

- Buggy app - content erratically doesn't load or work

As the title says. Main problem is videos - it used to be one-off (if I play a video before touching anything else it'll play just fine) but now it's incapable of playing videos in the store. I open one, it plays one second of it, then the whole app goes to a black screen. This is a really annoying issue, posting here for visibility. UPDATE: They fixed it! Keeping two stars off for mandatory Facebook though - they've proven to be irresponsible stewards of data, and I don't want to give them any more ammunition to control my attention.

- Great app!

I got a quest and was worried that it would not connect because of the bad reviews on the app and such. However, I was very impressed when I got it! Setup took only ten minutes and got up and running quickly! When I did not like a game, I asked to refund it and got a refund that same day! Also you can check the battery life from your phone so I knew when I needed to charge. Casting is great. I played a game while my brother watched and we both had fun! Overall, very impressive with no cons!

- Corrected my issues

Previous issues I had are corrected the the app, I am happy. Works flawlessly for me, and I love that I can start a download from work and come home and the downloaded apps, games and videos are ready to go! Great job. Only one hope in the future. Would love to play game videos in wide screen. The small sized video on a phone would be made better by being full screen. But such a minor concern. Thank you for the fixes you perform. Hope quest gets more games soon!

- A Must-Have App

I am writing this review regarding the Oculus app, not the VR experience (which is also amazing). I can say with confidence that this is the most comfortable, functional, and easy-to-use app I’ve seen in a while. I am currently using an iPhone 5s, which struggles with delivering smooth experience, but this app is a breeze. It’s got everything I need, allowing me to easily access my Store, Events, Friends, Game Library, and Settings. I actually find this more comfortable than the desktop, in browser experience. OCULUS, THANK YOU FOR THE APP!

- Too many problems

This rating goes for the quest as well. My internet isn’t the best, so it takes hours to download games like Tetris effect into my quest. For some reason whenever I leave the quest alone it decides to delete all progress to the download and I’m back to where I started. I don’t know what it is that makes all the download disappear into nothingness, but it’s really annoying when it comes to trying to download new games/updates. As for this app itself, things are clunky and can be annoying to get to where you want to go. Other than this the quest and app is fine.

- Casting to Chromecast / TV

Hey team, I have an Oculus Go & and an Oculus Quest my company recently bought to utilize for event marketing. We’re a large venue trying to use VR to show our clients various event setups that we do, and before we launch our program we’re testing all the bugs for Chromecast capabilities on both platforms. So far, we’ve had great trouble getting consistent casting out of our devices—often being unable to connect headsets to our office TVs and even our phones from time to time—trust me when I say I’ve looked at all the troubleshooting guides. WiFi is not an issue as we have high-speed internet, and a brand new Chromecast device. Is there an update coming in the near future that will help with Chromecast compatibility, casting consistency, or other cast to TV capabilities? We’d really like to make this work, as we believe Oculus to be the most user-friendly option for us to present to clients. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

- Lots of bugs

First when you try to go on a trailer it crashes the app and you have to restart it. Other then some of the games being a bit overpriced the games are alright they lack some of the good games like half-life and boneworks. I don’t understand why they don’t take Apple Pay because I have 100$ from the past that I never spent and I’m not able to pay with apple I have to pay another 100 with my credit card. The quality of the headset is not bad and is one of the best that I’ve had and is a huge upgrade from the rift.

- No User Profiles

People have been screaming at oculus to have multiple user profiles instead of locking the oculus down to one facebook profile and they’re completely tone deaf to the issue. this means that you really can’t share it with your family and friends the way you can with any video game console or computer. so i can’t save my progress in a game and then let my kids save their progress in the same game. or i can’t have my favorite browser pages bookmarked without mixing them with my families, or saved videos and so on. if you want to share a vr headset with family or others i’d suggest looking elsewhere.

- It’s a good VR but...

It’s a pretty good gaming VR but whenever I plug in my USB cable for rift software (oculus link) I only got to play pc VR games for a day before it literally stopped working. Here’s what happened, I plugged it in the 2nd day and I was able to play roblox vr for 30 mins. I got disconnected and couldn’t leave. After that I went back on and it kept bringing me back to the regular oculus home over and over. It kept reconnecting the link and disconnecting it. To the point where I couldn’t even get to my rift software on my quest. I have the right link and pc and it happened over and over.

- The best VR experience EVER!

Ok so for awhile had the oculus quest and it really helped me threw quarntine and i just got the oculus quest 2 today! I love this app you can browse apps and instead of having to put on your head set to install a game you can just installnit from the app! And you can brodcast your phone to your headset wnd watch what the player is doing! I just wanna thank the developers for an awesome VR experience. You guys work very hard. Harder than any other vr developer thank you!

- Love the game play, hate the pairing.

Numerous users have had issues with pairing their devices to stream their game play, whether it be for Twitch, Mixer or just so you’re not awkwardly swinging your arms around in front of your friends at a get together. I’ve tried numerous times to pair my app with my headset - updated, restarted, tried with Bluetooth and without (oddly enough, in the headset it stated that Bluetooth wasn’t necessary?). Overall, great console, mostly great tracking, but the pairing part of it has me more frustrated than anything else. Meh.

- Great side app for oculus go!

I use this app almost everyday to look at games. The app has a great theme to it which makes it easy to look at. The only request I have about the app is the paying options. I get iTunes cards often but don’t use them because I have nothing to use them on. I really hope at some point you could add support for iTunes gift cards. Other than that the app is great so I’m still gonna give the app 5 stars.

- Buggy for a mandatory app

Given the fact that you must use this app to start up your quest, it is frustratingly buggy. With the launch of the new quest 2 I have been viewing the quest store frequently on my phone. This always results in some bug that leads to me exiting and restarting the app. I have also noticed many bugs relating to streaming the headset through the app. Most notably, the library feature that allows you to choose what game the headset runs cuts off your games list so you cannot choose some. Given the popularity of showing new vr users the quest you would think they would have got this feature right. Please fix these bugs!

- Excellent app!

Update: Now that the video playback has been fixed this app is great for finding new games. I haven’t been able to get casting to work yet, but will try again after this latest update. Original review: When watching any of the videos for app previews, the screen goes black after a couple seconds. App must be relaunched to fix. Have reinstalled the app to no avail. iPhone 8 running iOS 14.2.

- Awful

I had the worst experience with this setup. I forgot my PIN (bc u have to remember your old one to make a new one . Silly) and tried to reset everything, my account, the Oculus itself , etc. There should be a system Much easier to recover the PIN like almost every other platform. Tried to have a reset link emailed to me and of course it says “WHHOOPS, looks like your lost. Let us take you to the Home Screen” The goofiest thing ever. So essentially if you forget your pin you cannot purchase any games. I deleted my account to see if that would wouod work and now the app can’t connect to my Facebook page.2 words. DO BETTER! Never had to deal with this with a PSVR

- Awesome app!!

The app works perfectly and the quest that I have runs smoothly and all the games are so fun!! I would highly suggest getting a VR headset. There are a lot of 1 star reviews but they make no sense and the people who write them are very negative but I would always suggest getting a headset!! It has made my life 1000 times better and I always save up for a new game! Carve it for an hour and get 3 hours of game play! Well I’m off to play on my quest!!

- Both headset and controller don’t work at all

I was excited to receive my oculus go when I ordered it from the website and it worked well for the first week but after that the sound would stop working, my controller stopped connecting and eventually stopped working all together and now my headset won’t even turn on even after being charged for hours, the light doesn't come on either. Im very upset that I wasted a hefty $215 on it for it to stop working before even an years mark. I want my money back or for a solution to this issue because another friend of mine with the same headset is having the exact problem.

- Very buggy

As the app for the Quest 1 and 2 (and some other VR devices) this app has been buggy from the start. Watching game trailers in full screen would crash the app. You CANNOT use the social tab as it never completes it’s update to check for friends that may be online. Even after closing the app and re-opening, the spinning progress wheel does nothing to refresh that list. The app doesn’t refresh or update properly. Kinda garbage if you ask me. All this money into making VR and yet NO ONE at Oculus / Facebook can make an app that functions properly despite being out for years and being downloaded by millions?!

- Delay

I like the oculus quest 2 and the oculus app is very useful but one problem is that the audio does the line up with the movement when you cats your oculus to your phone on this app and casting when you see someone in a game for example beat saber you see someone swing and there’s a 2 second delay on your phone and one more thing is that you can’t access the videos on the oculus app and save it to your phone so this feature needs to be added as soon as possible and in good quality

- Almost nothing loads

I’ve owned a Rift S since it’s release and the headset itself is really great, but this app is so terrible at loading almost anything it offers. my internet connection will be solid, but unless i’m trying to load the shop (which ironically loads instantly) i will not be able to see anything listed on my home, or my social feed, or any of my chats. nothing loads ever it will continuously load forever never to show me anything. it’s a on going issues oculus needs to fix because what a waste of time if it’s always like this.

- Easy to buy games, configure devices and setup headsets!

Application works flawlessly *if* you own a Facebook account. I sped straight through the easy tutorial on my Quest and immediately bought a couple games I had tried at a friends place (Rift). However the UI could definitely use an update (like the teased images in the App Store) to suit the brand new UI on the Quest and support for adding friends cross-platform (Quest, Rift S, Rift CV1) with or without a Facebook account is a must as I have friends who can’t have Facebook accounts. Overall TL;DR Easy to use , amazing support, frequent updates and patches keep the application and headset feeling new monthly.

- Fantastic, just one more feature can make this better

When I used it, it was easy to use. I use this for telling my friends that my oculus is out of charge (because I play on it until it shuts down) and getting apps while my quest is charging. Although, I think I know how to make this app perfect. I have recently lost my left controller and since you can use it in different locations, it is hard to find. If you can have a find my controller (like how apple has it’s find my iPhone/iPad), you could add that feature. It can work since when I turn on my quest, it can see the battery life of the controller.

- Won’t connect to Go

Update: all of a sudden it worked ok. I have no idea what changed. Excited to have my headset kit arrive only to have wasted hours trying to connect without any success. Following this apps instructions to a T and it will not connect! I’ve tried multiple WiFi networks and phones to get devices talking to each other, but they won’t pair! I cannot progress.

- Need more!?!?

I really love my oculus quest it is so amazing but I’m pretty bored of it and really haven’t had it that long, it comes between what the app lets you get and the prices of the games. The average of games is at least $30 which is way too high when you want multiple games, then you have to think about the games I can’t even download ROBLOX, ROBLOX, it is such a light game I have never experienced lag on it with my phone and the quest is so much better than a phone I would love to see access to at least ROBLOX and the game Pavlov !! though it would be great to get minecraft as well I know this would definitely get me playing more often.

- Cannot register using email

After downloading the Oculus app, the next step is to set up an account. As this is a Facebook product it tries really hard to get you to set up using your existing Facebook account. It does give you the option of using your email account however the link they’ve supposedly sent to your email address never arrives. After checking and rechecking the email address and requesting resending the link multiple times, no link appears and set up cannot be completed. Upon going back and choosing the Facebook option of creating and registering my account and device- everything works perfectly and the account is set up. Funny that...

- 👍🏼👍🏼

The app is great and easy to connect with friends it’s just that it is very laggy and when I press on the casting button for example it might not load or take a long time to load and the casting is very glitchy

- Great app - features broken

Casting simply doesn’t work. I’ve looked up all manner of troubleshooting, the solution shouldn’t be workarounds, but that’s what everyone is doing and recommends. Wifi otherwise is completely fine in my house and I can cast anything else without extra hardware, if it’s simply this complicated, go a different route oculus! The app itself for buying and browsing games is great! I don’t want to take away from that, but casting is a serious negative.

- Notifications issue

Once you read a notification the app won’t remove the notification badge from the home screen! Very annoying! Can’t tell if you get new notifications and miss out on them or are too late. 🙁Should be allowed to delete or archive notifications! Maybe then that would fix the notification badge issues.

- Great, but needs landscape mode

Sometimes when browsing the store on it the right side of the screen is cut off and portrait mode can get annoying. Please add a landscape option.

- Wish this app worked on iPad devices

The app works great but it would be even better if it was compatible with iPad devices. We use Oculus GO at my work which is an Aged Care Facility and the residents love this but monitoring what they are seeing is quite difficult on small phone screen.

- It crashes

Hi oculus! My app crashes every 30 seconds I am on it! And can you make more oculus rift games on the oculus go? Thanks and I love you be so Much!

- Terrible game title browser

When browsing games. Don’t bother tapping to watch a trailer for the title, the video plays for 3 seconds and then the screen fades to black and you can’t do anything besides force quitting the app. I was reading game reviews and the app crashed my phone. Literal spinning wheel. Will happily adjust my rating when I can actually browse titles for oculus quest 2 using this app.

- A great start

Ok so the good: You can buy things You can see some basic info about your headset and do casting The bad: Clearly a react native app, loading feels clunky, videos dont even play properly in the store (it plays for a second and goes black) I have to goto the web to see them. Additionally the position of the back button isn’t quite right because it overlaps with the system “back to search” What’s missing: It would be great to have your oculus move integrate with Apple health, please get this working.

- Annoying

I find it really annoying how you have to pay 400 more dollars to get the better console. It is also unfair how quest and rift players can have beat saber and all the great games like that, where as oculus go can’t have them. Please add them on oculus go :(

- Would be perfect without Facebook

There’s absolutely no reason why the social aspect of the oculus needs to be hidden behind a Facebook login. Facebook is awful, and I feel dirty for having to sign in using it. I absolutely hate this about the oculus. HATE IT.

- App freezes with a blank screen

After I log in with my facebook account and create a profile, the app asks me what info I want people to see and the only think that pops up on my screen is a blue bar at the top that does nothing. Stuck with my useless Oculus Quest 2.

- It’s great!

Great app from what I’ve seen and used. Essential if you own the Oculus Go and handy if you own the Oculus Rift.

- Pls

Could you pls add vtol vr because I’ve been digging to play it but. It’s not on the quest Thanks

- Great but..

So I have a short list of problems with this so here I go 1 why can’t I turn it to land scape mode and 2 why can’t I delete the apps

- It’s ok, kinda ordinary

Does the job but not what I’d say omg amazing at just yet, small bug but the badge counter doesn’t reset when a notification comes in.

- Great

Easy to use and a nice layout. Steam should take notes.

- Camera roll disabled

App suddenly lost camera roll access with last update rendering the app useless. Tried re installing several times but function still missing.

- More games

Hello it’s great but I really want you to add job simulator and Vacation simulator those games are really fun and I don’t really know to other games please add them

- Zero. Zero stars

Ugh As of today, I opened the oculus app only to find I’m now required to agree to the new terms and conditions to even open it. I don’t agree and so I can’t use the app to manage my quest.

- Epic

Great app 10/10 no problems But please add five nights at Freddy’s ver to the quest And minecraft vr to the quest

- Soooooo good for when I get my quest

No quest on the app

- Video preview fails on iphone 8

game preview videos crashe the app about 1 second in.

- Unrealisable Spyware garbage

Doesn’t work out of the box Imagine having to show ID to use a toy - well you might have to

- Great!😍

Easy set up

- Plz plz plz

Oculus can you please add gorn to the oculus quest plzzzz

- Landscape View

Please add for the iPad.

- E

Kinda pog ngl

- Wasted my time

...

- Speed

App takes lot of time to open.Speed is major issue.FB needs to put more severs for it.Hope they are working on it.

- Facebook nightmare

Facebook login is a nightmare. Not just the while privacy thing but the actual process. I have set up 4 Quest headsets and receiving the access code is completely hit or miss. Of course you can’t access the app before this step so you have no recourse.

- Gifting games is near impossible

It is unnecessarily complicated to redeem gifts the steps to redeem the code in the email DO NOT WORK I have had nothing but trouble with trying to gift some games. The first time no emails were sent to the recipient. I contacted customer service and they said to request a refund but this can only be done by the recipient after they have redeemed the code! I had to explain their own policies to customer service and finally got them to refund the unclaimed games, by this stage they were not on sale anymore customer service really didn’t care about that. So I tried again and only one email was sent the second time. Contacted customer service again only to be told the code was re sent to my email address which I don’t have access to and they refused to resend it to the original email address I typed in at checkout (the recipient) I’m about to give up and just ask for a refund for the lot of them as no one has been able to redeem the codes!! Customer service is a joke they did nothing to aid me with resolving this issue. It’s ridiculous they can’t just resend the email!

- Need oculus app for ipad

Phone screen isn’t enough to cast and share with friends. I wish there’s app for ipad.

- Keeps Crashing

Every time I go to watch a trailer for the different games, the screen goes black and I’m forced to close the app! Please fix!

- My review on the oculus quest.

So the oculus quest is AMAZING. So far I’ve loved it. Though a couple problems I’ve had with it are, not being able to capture what happened in the last couple minutes, the heavy lack of games, and the expensive games. Apart from that I have not had much problems with it. I highly recommend the quest and hope you have a good time with it.

- Weird bug

I can’t watch the game trailers because when I try I get a full black screen and can’t exit out of it

- Trailer videos make the app freeze

In the shop, when a trailer video is played, it goes full screen and turns black. From that moment the app becomes permanently unresponsive on my iPhone X.

- Problem to see game video

Can not play game video on iphone 8plus.

- Black screen on previews

Can’t watch previews

- Black screen on game description

Last update broke the app for video of games, just get a black screen

- Great app but need iPad support

Great app overall, but iPad support would be great...especially when casting with an Oculus Quest. The screen size makes it more adequate vs an iPhone screen.

- Great but...

This app is very helpful but I can’t buy games because I can’t register my debit card so I can’t enjoy the games that cost money please fix this

- Need iPad support

Application need iPad support. The casting option is great.

- Good

Good, but needs iPad support! The UI is a bit clunky. Hope it is just a foundation that will be built upon over time. Love the Quest headset but the prices are far too high for these “games” that are more like tech demos with a high price tag. Hope this app starts offering a “sales” tab soon!

- Can’t watch any trailers

Screen goes black, have to force close app, not very good for sales!

- Video Trailers Unavailable

The screen goes black and the app just basically shut down after playing video-trailers for games. KINDLY URGENTLY FIX 🙏🏻♥️

- Bug iPhone 11 se

When I select one game (anyone) from the quest store to watch the video details the app stays all black and nothing can make this come back to normal (just closing it and re opening it).. I hope the game developers don’t use the same pattern to develop their games..

- Game trailers do not work

App crashes when you attempt to watch game trailers. Screen goes black.

- Good, but...

Can’t play game preview video on iPhone or iPad. Screen goes blank after a few seconds and I have to force close app and reopen.

- Can’t watch game trailers in app

Everything is perfect but whenever I click on a video preview within a game I’m curious about- the trailer will play for 5 seconds and then the app will go black and become unresponsive and I have to reset it. I’ve reverted to seeing games I’m interested in and then YouTubing the trailer which is quite annoying. Please help!!

- Horrible experience on the 12 pro max

The buttons at the top are interfering with the status bar, and the buttons at the bottom are hiding behind the navigation bar. Not optimized at all for the iPhone 12 pro max.

- Bit of help

m0103m is correct. The same thing is happening. Please help!

- Does not support 12ProMax well

Sometime it stick on viewing game intro video. And can’t close. Have to restart the app. Frustrating, beside that it works. But that’s it.

- Good app with some bugs

The app is slow to load and can’t play trailers on my iphone X .......

- Blackscreen Bug

I cant see the prewatch the screen turns black

- Black screen

The app shows a black screen as soon as I play one of the app promo videos. It becomes completely frozen at that point. Force quitting the app is the only way out.

- Authentification non fonctionnel

Connection juste impossible, appli a revoir ...

- Slowest app ever

Constantly freezes when streaming videos. Loads everything slowly. Terrible

- Minecraft needed

Is there going to be minecraft on the quest?

- 🍻 🚔💥🚙

Drunk drivers crash less than this app!

- Bugs

I’ve been trying to log into my Facebook account but it keep freezing the app so I can’t put my email in

- 3 stars until iPad version

Day 431 of waiting for an iPad version.

- Ok but needs to support Game Center

I love all vr but kids can’t get Facebook ps add more options

- Great

Needs the option of seeing the percentage of downloads on the app and iPad support

- YouTube videos

It’s amazing for screen recording and posting to YouTube

- Removed social features and forcing you to use Facebook instead

Why I should trust my data with Facebook???

- Can only use one of my facebook accounts

I am having an issue where the app makes me pick the facebook account the I never use for my oculus account. The app autofills the wrong information and doesnt let me manually type in my account details.

- Help me Facebook

I’m trying to connect to the app but my keyboard doesn’t work... I’m using an iPhone SE1 and I don’t know what to do

- Blade and sorcery vr

I would really like blades and sorcery on oculus

- They’ve broken the menu

The menu for the quest itself was perfect untill they updated it now it doesn’t work now

- landscape view.

Please for the love of all things Oculus, make this app able to switch to landscape view.. why? Why would it be advantageous to only offer an app in portrait mode in 2020?

- Awesome

I really like my oculus and it works very well for me but maybe I would like it more if you added a built in voice changer.

- Why no Minecraft?!

I see ppl all the time playing Minecraft on rift but the quest hasn’t released a Minecraft app yet!! Like c’mon!!! at least start releasing better games or straight up I have no use for this piece of junk and I’ll probably just end up selling it cuz there’s literally only one good game on there and even half the time that game sucks, very disappointed...

- IPAD MODE!!!

iPad mode

- Pourri

Depuis les 4-5 dernière mise à jour je peux pas voir aucune des photos d’un jeu, tout est en gris, genre page planche Tanné! J’irai sur pc si je veux acheter

- No payment method support

I can’t add my payment method, it works perfectly at stores yet doesn’t work on this app. Please fix

- Payment option?

Never lets me buy games - always gets an error messages same for my sister oculus quest so not just me, how can you survive if no one buys games.?

- Won’t let me add a payment option

I try to buy job simulator for my oculus quest and it will say error when I enter my paypal can you please fix that so I can play job simulator

- plz portrait

this is a great app but i just want to have portrait.

- Doesn’t work on my iPhone 11 Pro

The APP doesn’t work on my iPhone 11 Pro. And it works on my iPhone X. Why?

- Finally an iPad app... but...

Finally we have the iPad app... BUT c’mon... Make the app available in landscape mode too! Wasn’t able to try if the casting is working etc... but MAKE it available in both Portrait and LANDSCAPE mode too :)

- Version 15 UI

Ok I love this app but I have a problem and i know you think that I’m dumb because I’m using the review but I was lazy so any way the new UI for version 15 won’t pop up even when I have version 15 installed

- The interface is screwed up on some iPads

I enjoy playing games and don’t get me wrong the technology is great it’s just that the interface is all screwed up on my iPad and everything is off center and I can’t even read the right side of most reviews for games which is really annoying when I’m trying to figure out if I should buy a game or not. Fix the interface for different sized screens and I’ll be happy.

- New update broke app

The app was just fine (minus a few glitches when scrolling through picture previews in the store) until this latest update. Now whenever I try to watch a video to get a sense of what a game is like about an inch is cut off. That wouldn’t be a problem except that’s where the X button is to get out of it so I have to close and relaunch the app every time please fix this and then I will give 5 stars

- Fantastic product

Totally beyond expectations. Would definitely recommend. But when purchasing content in the app, it should have multiple selection function. I want to buy all songs available in Beat Saber. Each time I can only buy one song. It is annoying when you have to type in your pin more than 10 times.

- Oculus Quest is so SICK

Highly recommend the Quest! My son loves it and we play it together all the time. Didn’t give it 5 stars because they have a glitch with the install que. Everything is online but the iPhone game store won’t install games for me. Able to download songs within beat saber from the quest headset no problem, but just bought 2 games tonight that have been stuck in my que for hours because “headset is offline”.

- Not downloading apps...

I own two headsets and neither of them will allow me to re-download apps like showtime anytime, do now and Facebook 360... again BOTH headsets experiencing this issue.. one just purchased last night out of the box. When it works it is alright but when it doesn’t it’s annoying... also the oculus app on the phone is terrible... all we need to see are fresh new apps and the ones that are installed... the fact that we can’t even easily see which apps are installed on the phone is very annoying to say the least.

- Buggy and hard to navigate

Preview videos and pictures frequently crash the app or look distorted. Rarely notifies you of sales or updates of owned apps. It does sometimes notify me though so i guess that's a bug too. The home section should be removed from the app and the headset. It's a mess and never has useful information at the top. The social tab is barely functional and requires Facebook messenger integration which at that point just use a different service for voice chat. Call quality is bad and the integrated mic picks up a lot of background noise. Being able to cast your headset is cool for parties. More sales would be nice but since it's a closed ecosystem the biggest sale you're likely to see are going to be an occasional 20-30% off. Honestly use this app to set up your headset, buy virtual desktop, and only use this headset with wireless pcvr cause the Facebook experience is really getting me down.

- Can’t even set boundaries

I have an oculus quest and it asked me to set boundaries it was difficult but I got through it and eventually made it in to the main menu. I then went to dinner and when I got back the VR asked me to set boundaries yet again, annoyed I did this again but then the machine wouldn’t let me submit them. The oculus support does not help at all so don’t tell me to go there. For such a expensive product you would think that they would work out simple bugs. Very disappointed and I can’t rate it any higher because I haven’t been able to get in to the thing. What a waste of money.

- Facebook account required

The oculus Quest 2 is amazing but the worst thing is that you NEED a Facebook account which is so stupid Because I want to separate real life from a reality world and I’m not the only person that thinks this because if you use fake information all of your stuff is gone forever I don’t want Facebook and oculus using my personal info like my name and when I was born so I wish they would fix this so people can just put on the headset and have a great VR experience

- I Love It and the Quest.

I love how easy it is to setup an Oculus Quest, and I’m assuming it’s easy for the Rift, Rift S, and Go, too. I also like the casting feature, and I get why you can’t cast or record Beat Saber (Copyright reasons). One thing is that it doesn’t show the “Allow Quest to cast” straight away, I have to hold the Oculus button for it to show up, and it takes me a while to get to the home page by pressing the Oculus button. But, all and all, it’s easy, nice, and amazing!

- Why no iPad version?

The app works well enough on my iPhone, but I’m surprised that it‘s not a universal app that works well on iPad. iPad is perfect for casting, but performs poorly due to the this being merely an upscaled iPhone app. A proper iPad (or universal) version of this app with landscape orientation support is much needed, in my opinion. Please make it happen guys! Otherwise I’m extremely pleased with my Oculus Quest and continually impressed with the latest innovations. I would just love for this app to match the level of polish of the headset.

- Social part doesn’t work correctly

Even with this latest patch, the social area of the app has issues. When you drag the top down to do a refresh of your friends status, the loading indicator just spins around and eventually locks up. Basically refreshing that screen does not work. So to see what your friends are up to, you have to close the app and restart it.

- Crashing Issue

I will rate it five because of the gameplay and app usage but for some bizzare reason it crashes for me every 35 seconds when I log onto the app. Please fix this. I can barely read a game description without an app crash. Every single time it crashes it sends me to my phone homescreen. Please fix this. I can barely use my Oculus now.

- One thing I don’t like about it

The oculus quest is a lot of fun but the one thing I hate is having to have a Facebook account to have friends on it it’s ridiculous me and my friends are getting tired of it to not only that but when I actually tried to make a Facebook account it would not let it would keep giving me errors and telling I can’t sign up right now and Facebook has HORRIBLE reviews lots of 1 stars and it’s very infuriating please fix this

- Bad refund system

Over all the quest was totally worth it. I like everything about it but the refund system. You have to leave it in your notifications and thats just so weird. It's happened twice where I couldn't refund something I wanted to because the notification wasn't there. All in all though, its worth it.

- Love my Oculus but it needs to connect to my tv

I have a recently bought Sony 4K with built in Chromecast but can not connect it. My family likes to watch each other play but the Oculus refuses to connect. I don’t need an Apple TV or a Chrome Ultra just for this. It makes no sense why a wireless device can’t connect to a state of the art smart tv, no matter what additional apps I buy for my iPhone. Otherwise I love it.

- Refund

If anyone is having issues with getting their money back, I did too. It at average takes a week for me, but last time it took about twenty days. You just have to be patient. Other than that I t is a great app. Does everything well, except I would like a different style friends menu. It doesn’t really tell anything.

- Basically, just a way to get you to buy more apps

One of those apps where it’s hard to see what advantage it has over simply viewing it on the Web. For example, on the library screen, if you have a lot of apps and you want to scroll through them, you have to scroll to the bottom of the screen, wait for a few more apps to load, scroll down again, wait for more apps to load, etc. Very tedious if you have a lot of apps. Plus, there is no search feature! This is just one example of the lameness of this app.

- Great hardware but buggy software

I love the Oculus Quest however there are some issues that are really breaking my experience. 1. Casting from the app works only on some days, most of the times I get either an error message, a grey screen or a freezed image. Totally random. Yes I made sure I am connected to the same WiFi. 2. The device has problems charging. I plug it in, it starts charging and then it just stops charging and I can’t get it to charge even after the battery is fully depleted, again also random

- Oculus is great but the app lacks features

Honestly loving the VR experience. However the app could use some features. My biggest complaint is that you can’t really watch your recorded videos in app like you can with the Xbox or Steam apps. To the devs, please add this feature and include ways to export them to camera rolls. It’d be cool to be able to show friends my content without posting it to Facebook or having to plug it in to my cluttered garbage desktop.

- Good app, some problems

Overall the app is great but there are some problems with it. Most of the reviews for games don’t fit in the screen so you can’t read all of it and casting is quite buggy so it doesn’t work sometimes. Also I think it would be nice for the screen to be able to rotate sideways for us iPad users. That’s pretty much it.

- Oculus Quest Needs Multiple Users feature

While I have had no problems with the app itself other than casting issues at times, I am disappointed that the Oculus Quest doesn’t allow for multiple users. Our whole family uses this headset and this lack of feature makes it impossible for one user to start a game and save their progress while another user starts the same game from the beginning.

- Just a couple games you should add to the quest store.

I play the quest almost everyday, especially Echo VR, But I think there are just two games you should add to the quest store, 1. Minecraft, If you have it on the Rift / Rift S, you gotta get it on the quest store, it’s a must have on the rift. 2. Any Pokémon Game, come on everyone wants Pokémon on the quest, I mean seeing a Pokémon, battling, catching Pokémon, everything.

- Only good for looking up daily deals

Want to look threw what the store has to offer well get ready for frequently losing your place because of poor design ideas or just crashing to back to screen. Also the app screws with sound levels just opening the will lower the sound. If you open a trailer and your previous sound comes back the level is random. If it didn’t come back the other program crashed or got muted it’ll reloaded.

- The app is good, but a suggestion

This app for all intents and purposes does exactly what it needs to. But there are some quality of of life things that could be added. Being able to add something to your wishlist on the app would be nice, in case you’d like to stay out of the headset for a little bit comes to mind.

- WiFi problem

I have had my oculus quest for a few days now and I have been struggling with it because it keeps disconnecting from WiFi due to a authentication problem and it is very annoying but other than that it is still very fun and entertaining to use and I really do hope that this problem is fixed soon as possible as I know that I am not the only one has this problem.

- Casting Issues

This app is not terrible, it is helpful for setting up your oculus headset and purchasing apps and games from the oculus store. The reason I give it 4 stars is for the consistency of the casting to your phone. They need an update that fixes the reliability of it because it is a great function for showing family and friends what the person using VR is seeing.

- A good app with a wide selection of VR experiences

There are two features I would like to see implemented. 1.The ability to power down my oculus go headset from within the mobile app, so I don’t need to put the headset on/use physical button to do so 2.the ability to cast to a smart tv. I am able to cast to my mobile device and on the head set it says to tap an icon in the device to stream to chromecast but the icon is not there.

- Casting

I’ve been having a lot of casting problems. I’ve used the advice to shut down my phone and restart the Oculus Quest and it worked but then it stopped. So I did it again but this time it didn’t work. Maybe their is a bug that y’all can fix. Please try to fix this.

- I can’t buy anything so I’m stuck

So I’m a noob in virtual reality but then I learned that my favorite series (fnaf) got a VR game that’s Actually true and has lore! Then I researched for a couple of weeks then disappointed that I can only use Facebook and I’m ONLY 11! So now I have to wait a couple of years and people will make fun of me for buying the game but I’m just stuck.

- Casting fail

I don’t know why but the casting feature isn’t working my phone is up to date and so is the app and my quest and phone is on the same WiFi and they are connected and when I try to cast it says the headset is not found and it tells me to make sure they are on the same WiFi and try again but they are on the same WiFi and it just keeps saying the same thing

- What a waste of money

Played with the Go headset for about 30 minutes and I just wasn’t at all impressed. PR was fantastic selling this half-baked VR. The content is simply not there and the tech behind the Go is just not worth the expense to the consumer. There are too many hyped reviewers that are misleading prospective customers. Too many claims are made and the unit doesn’t deliver. “Crystal clear optics” yeah, no. I’ll be sharing a detailed review on my website geared to consumers in the upcoming days. Don’t buy the Go, and if you buy the quest get it from a store that allows returns.

- Oculus Quest is great a experience like no other! But the app is meh.

The Oculus Quest is literally something like at a theme park, like it’s so magical no joke. It’s unlike anything else and way better than fricking smartphone VR, it’s 1,000x better. Anyways, the app isn’t that great. I can never stream to a TV like ever with a FireTV, SmartTV, AppleTV, and Google Chromecast. Even casting to my phone sometimes doesn’t work. That’s pretty much the only thing, otherwise the app is fine I guess.

- love the oculus quest

One obvious addition that needs to be added to the quest is the ability to watch movies and access media while laying down and in the dark. Perhaps using the joysticks? Other than that I love it so far. Please add this feature, it is much needed and shouldn’t be too hard to implement relative to the other things that the quest can do.

- Great Resource, Poor Execution

The app is great for picking out games without wasting the precious little power on the headset, however the layout conflicts with the iOS functionality. The homebar at the bottom of the screen covers options in the app. And if the navigation option to return to an app is present at the top left of the screen, you can’t help but press it when interacting with the Occulus app. Seems like they need to revisit the human interface guidelines.

- Used to be Great

I was very happy with the way the app worked and functioned. Could find friends and hang out easily in VR. This is no longer possible as they are now “using Facebook to power social features”. I didn’t buy my headset to download Facebook. I don’t want Facebook. They are obviously able to have a functioning social system without Facebook as that’s what it previously was. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Oculus was one big shill to get more Facebook users. You had a good thing going, thanks for ruining it.

- Nice app overall, streaming is hard to set up by yourself though

Has a lot of nice features, but streaming is really hard to set up on your own. You have to keep a hand on the screen while setting it up on the phone, otherwise streaming breaks as soon as you move your head away.

- Fixed: Does not open

Update: uninstalling and reinstalling the app solved my problem so upping my score. Still no more than a three simply because it broke and required to setup the Oculus Go. I don’t use it often but shows I have a message. Tried to open and immediately closes. Been this way for about a week. Just ran the update and still not working. iPhone 8 iOS 11.4

- Just need to see my videos

I love the app, but the only thing I wish I could do on it is to to the videos I recorded on my quest, I think it’s such crap that I can only access them through sending them to face book and then saving them a a video.

- Shouldn’t Force Install on Phone

I guess I’m not surprised, this is facebook, after all. But requiring the usage of this app on your phone for set up and settings changes is a thinly veiled attempt to continue their invasive practices. I wouldn’t be surprised if they require facebook accounts next. There are plenty of better devices out there now and more on the way. I recommend purchasing literally another brand. Get your data somewhere else or pay for it, facebook.

- Pretty good but needs landscape support for storefront videos

I don’t understand why the app doesn’t show App Store videos full screen, as this seems to be in almost every app that plays videos. It doesn’t need full-time landscape, just in the store for the preview videos. If they add this I’ll give it 5 stars instead of 4.

- A little buggy

Crashes when I try to play the video trailers for games. If I click on a game in the Recommended for you” section of the home screen, then hit the play button on the main trailer for the game, the entire app crashes. I will add that casting works great and that’s the main reason I downloaded the app, so good job on the most important thing 👍

- Lots of bugs

I’ve been on the oculus app for a while, and I’ve seen a couple of bugs here and there like if you look at game screenshots then try to watch the trailer it won’t load, but recently the app has been crashing randomly so I would purchase games on your headset for the time being.

- Love the Oculus Go - hate the app! Crashes on start!

The Oculus Go headset is incredible! Immersive, wireless, comfortable and performs fantastic. My previous review is below. I was able to fix the crashing issue after removing app, restarting phone and then reinstalling app. Should have to do this after do an iOS update but it worked. Love the headset. << The iOS app crashes every single time I try to open it! I am on latest (not beta) iOS11.4 with iPhone X and cannot open the app. I thought the latest Oculus app might have finally fixed it but no. Removed app, reinstalled - same thing! >>

- Good bit can’t help with lost PIN

The Oculus app is amazingly simple and fun to setup and I have a problem getting my PIN you can’t Ben set a new pin you have to put the pin i had LOST and bam new pin now I can’t even buy games from the app please help me and allow the thing for you to change the pin without putting the lost pin in.

- Pretty good partner but...

A very competent home app, very nice how it allows shopping and settings and such from outside the headset too. I’d just like to request some more stability for connecting the phone to the headset stream, it doesn’t always find it easily, as well as better stream quality, it freezes or skips frames a lot.

- Amazing Love IT

The app is great but the only thing that I would recommend is making it The IPad screen because I have an IPad and The screen is not in full screen and aside from that I love how you can buy apps / games directly from the app onto the Your VR headset. All in all the app is awesome

- Couldn’t be worse

I’ve never seen a worse app, the purchasing system is broken and the quest itself is the worst gaming system around, terrible quality games, doesn’t work half the time, the charging for the quest is janky, you have to charge it all day just to get 20 mins of play time tops. I’ve never regretted a larger purchase more than this. For purchasing an app you have to have the pin, the pin doesn’t work, you can change the pin all you want, won’t work.

- Unable to view more than 2 seconds of the video

Great app for adding to your wishlist and buying games, but the video does not work. The videos will show 2 seconds before the screen goes dark and audio stops. App freezes and requires you to force quite. Viewing the videos is a big part of getting a feel for a game you want to buy. This needs to be fixed.

- Extremely Buggy and Unreliable

This app works for the basic functionality of browsing Oculus content, but try and play a video trailer and it crashes. Try to cast and crash. Also you need toothpick sized precision to tap the back button in the UI because it overlaps with the status bar. Even the iPad app doesn’t let you use it in landscape. Why do all Facebook apps do that? Honestly very disappointed since browsing this content on the headset can at times be cumbersome.
