Most user friendly app I’ve ever found!. All of my fabric and floss also got stolen so I’ve had to start my stash all over again 😌

No way to Cancel the App!!!. I’ve enjoyed using the app for several years but I need to cut my expenses for retirement and I cannot find where to turn of auto renew? I’m more than happy to write a great review for the app itself- as long as the developers don’t make it impossible to ever cancel the payment.

Inventory. Doesn’t show my thread inventory on the front page. Please fix! Also could you make searching easier? Other than that I really like this app!

The best app for needleworkers. While took me a few days to enter and record my entire thread stash in this app, it has been so worth it. With just a click or two I can now instantly see if I have a particular thread at home before I purchase another one unnecessarily. What a money saver. I am now working on my project stash and will eventually record my ground cloths. It is far and away the best $10 I believe I have ever spent, and it has paid for itself over and over. Thank you to whoever came up with this site. I encourage all my needle worker friends to try it. Jeanne’yi

Disappointed. I have many charts by Priscilla Blain of The Real Housewives of Cross Stitch. She isn’t listed as a designer and there is no option to add designers. My inventory cannot be complete or accurate. I can not even add a chart and skip the designer listing. I hope this will change soon, if not I will never recommend your product.

Awesome!. This app is really helpful and easy to use. I’m so organized now I can hardly stand it. I recently purchased the subscription app and really don’t see any additions except for the beads. I liked the option to search with the alphabet on the side. Also, since I’m all Apple I can’t add photos.

Inventory disappeared. I’ve been loving this app until recently. My subscription renewed automatically on July 7th 2022. I hadn’t been in the app for a while so I had to reset my password. Now my inventory has disappeared! In the settings it shows my subscription as renewing in July 6th 2023. What do I need to do?

Great cross stitch app. Love this app to keep track of my kitted, WIPs, and finishes. Wish it included how many for each category.

XStitch Plus. Good for inventory of charts but not fantastic. Do not have the ability to Mark the chart finished. Do not have a count of how many charts for each designer. Do not have the ability to add a designer or mark it not listed or leave it blank if the designer is not in the built in list. I had at least three that were not in the list. Would also be nice to know how many completed I have done. And to be able to note qty when I have more than one chart. Should default to one but allow you to change and update the qty

Already Purchased App. I bought the App on March 6, 2021 without the free trial, and now it is asking me to renew. It has locked me out of the App with no way to contact them. The subscription shows paid through March 6, 2022 on my Apple purchases. I was very happy with the App until this happened. Please rectify the error. They contacted me very quickly about the problem, explained how to correct it, and it was rectified. As I said before I am very happy with the app.

Suggestions. This could be much more user friendly with the following improvements: I should be able to enter a number when I add a DMC floss to my inventory. So that if I have two or three of the same color I don’t have to go to and different screen to add them. The inventory and shopping list should interact. I should be able to add something to my shopping cart from the inventory list. Alternatively, I should be able to add something to my inventory by clicking somewhere on my shopping list once I buy the item. These user friendly improvements would make me feel much better about paying for the app. Without these, I would be better off with an Excel spreadsheet.

Great app but needs improvements for cost. I really like the app overall. I love having a photo or two of my projects as I may have given the finished ones away. I also like have the photos for my wish list. However for $9.99 a year I hope some more features are added. I would like a few more fields in the description of the design such as stitch count, and notes on finishing. I would also like to link the floss needed for project directly from the project. If that is possible now please let me know how to do that. I hope the designer continues to incorporate changes and updates.

Fantastic!. This app is exactly what I needed. I can track all of my thread, charts, and it even helps me calculate how much fabric to cut for a particular project. I cannot recommend this enough! A great buy for anyone who does lots of projects with needle and thread!

No option for unknown or lesser known designers. For the most part, I love this as an inventory app. I can see what threads I have and make lists of what I need to buy. I would love if these was an option to make shopping lists organized by project/chart. My biggest complaint, however, is that as someone who buys a lot of charts from unknown or lesser known designers, there is no way to add those charts in my inventory. You can’t even leave the designer area blank.

Great app..... Great app for my stash, highly recommend. I’d LOVE to see a link between kitted / started projects and fabric inventory. You have to enter the fabric twice, and then delete the fabric, or update it, from your inventory once you’ve used it. This is why I’m giving a 4 star rating. Also, not a showstopper, but it would be nice to have the pictures of the Mill Hill beads pre-loaded, sometime a description isn’t enough. I know we can upload our own photo to bypass this.

Could Be Better. I was trying to send feedback within the app but it didn’t work. Anyway, I’m rating 2 stars for now because I believe this needs severe improvements. I like that I can include my floss ( but I hate how I have to save then go back into floss number for quantity instead of including quantity at the same time before I save). Not only does this

So easy to use!. Just loving this on my iPad, iPhone, etc…inventory everywhere!!! Would be great to have more “custom” options for makers for things which are “inherited”, but other than that, I’m a huge fan!

Thread inventory interface could use updating. This app is really helpful and I would definitely recommend for anyone that has a large stash to keep track of. That being said, the ability to add floss to your inventory is frustrating. You can’t search by number unless you already have it in your stash. You need to scroll back and forth between numbers. It can end up being time consuming (and painful with the repetitive motion) if you are entering a lot. Similar to that, your shopping list can only be made from what you already have entered. This is good to replace something, but not helpful if you are trying to make a list of what you’re missing from a line. The separate screen for shopping list does not indicate what is already in your stash, just lists all the numbers again.

Excellent stitching tools and ledger. Brilliant design. All colors are preloaded, all you have to do is check the ones you need or the ones you already have. Everything you need to calculate your piece. Enjoy!

A great app I use often. I really enjoy using this app. It keeps track of my threads, linens and it even keeps track of the beads that I have. I appreciate this app more than you can know!

WOW. What an app! Thread inventory is awesome! Only had it a couple hours. Would like to see an update to include fabrics other than linens tho - I’m a beginner & have only worked my way up to Evenweaves so far. Really surprised it didn’t include these or Aida.

Flaws. I upgraded from the original Xstitch and it imported all of my existing inventory but now when I try to add a designer off the list that I have not used before it will not save it. Sent an email no response so far.

Great app. I’ve been using the free version for a year or so for threads and recently started adding my charts and kits to it. I decided to upgrade to the subscription version to add a photo of the chart and in hopes of solving my one issue. Sometimes I have a pattern from an unknown designer. I’m unable to save it w/o a designer name and can not add the name to the designer list.

Organization plus.. This app is getting me organized in my stitching.

Just missing one thing. This seems like a great app, but it is missing one thing. There is no option that I can find in the Designers list to select not listed, other, or some other method of noting that the pattern didn’t come from one of the listed designers. I’ve tried adding patterns I bought on Etsy, but the shop is not listed and there is not always a “real” name associated with the shop. This means I can’t track those patterns. Add something like that, and definitely a five star pattern.

Good so far!. I just purchased the app (Feb 2023), and have been entering my charts, and magazines. I have patterns purchased off of Etsy that I thought might be too obscure to have a listing, but there they are! I wanted to keep track of what patterns and magazines I have in my library (which may be getting more extensive than necessary), so that duplicates would not be purchased, and a floss list would be at hand as well. The process is easy to learn, and at this point, I have not come across any glitches or problems.

Don’t Stash Without It!. This app has saved me from buying doubles of things so many times - including charts! I love looking through it and seeing the little notes I’ve made about why I stitched a certain project, or if perhaps the kit was a gift from someone. It’s super helpful that everything is alphabetized, and extremely easy to navigate. Every time I get a new chart, into the app it goes. Love it!!

Best app ever!. I love this app, helps me stay focused and organized! Well worth the money!!!!

Organization. This is a great way to keep track of your stitching supplies and you can take it with you on your phone when you go shopping. This means no doubles and saves money.

My review. I like the app but wish there was a way to record your daily work. Number of stitches on which project. I really like the inventories

Colour And Cotton. Please update and add the Colors for Colour And Cotton. I sent an email and no answer.

Lost useful functionality. I really love the original x-stitch app and was looking forward to this new one with the enhancements. Unfortunately they removed three functions from the new one that I use. They removed the ability to add a skein of floss to the shopping list from the actual color page for the floss. You have to go to a different screen that lists all the colors for a specific maker/type to add to the shopping list. They also removed the groupings for patterns by designer and fabrics by dyer. They recommend using the new search option but that is not the same. They have added search, also beads and custom to the threads which is nice. But I only gave this 2 stars because of what they removed. I’ll continue to use the original app which I gave 5 stars,

Fantastic. I love being able to keep an inventory of my threads and fabric. It’s saved me loads of time searching my stash to see what I have. I love the notes area where I put purchase price and where and when I purchased. I also put the pattern I’m using a particular thread in so if I need that particular color I know where to find it. Great app!

Good program. This is a super helpful program that has saved me a lot of money by keeping me from buying multiples of the same item. Because I have such a huge stash, I’ve been entering things a little bit at a time for the last couple of months. I love that this last update addressed some of the previous issues I had with the search feature and with adding charts by designer. The one thing that seems to be missing after the update is the ability to load more than one picture for each chart. For instance , on charts that come with fabric and fiber, I like to add a photo of the design and a second photo showing the fabric and fiber. Previously, I could add I believe three photos. Now I’m only allowed to add one. However I do love the fact that with the new update, there is a take photo feature that does not save the pictures on my camera roll, and which is much faster when you go to save the chart. Great job adding the photo feature to the linen.

Good but has a big flaw. So far, I’m really liking the app for keeping my pattern inventory which is the main reason I bought it. I already have a separate app for keeping track of my floss. My major complaint is that we have no ability to enter a designer that isn’t in the pre-populated list. Very frustrating to be prevented from adding them. I get the idea that you want to make it easy but we should be able to manually enter some that you don’t have listed.

Love this app❤️❤️❤️❤️. This is totally the best app I have! What a brilliant idea. I’ve saved so much money in a short period by looking at my inventory before ordering online, turns out I already have had many charts in my cart that I already own

Great app!. I haven’t used this app for very long but I can say that after 4 days of the trial period I decided I should subscribe. It’s been a great investment so far. Pros: Info is very easy to add. Lots of info already included so flosses, etc. are easy to inventory - basically the pick of a button. It syncs between my devices (easier to add on my iPad but only have my phone if I’m out shopping). I can track my projects from wishlist to purchasing to kitting to completion. I can keep track of extra linens. Cons: This app lacks the ability to add inventory that doesn’t fit their categories. For instance, I have designs from old magazines I’d like to add accurately but can’t because I don’t know the designer or the designer isn’t one they have listed. The designer name is required but there is no “unknown” option or the ability to add an unlisted name (“custom”?). I’ve added that inventory under a random designer that I’ve selected. The same is true of the floss inventories. They have TONS of lines listed but I just bought floss from a new line and can’t add that as it isn’t one of their options and there isn’t the option to add a “custom” line. It could use a “Notes” section for random information so that all my cross-stitch info is all in one place then. Based on what I see in the app so far it wouldn’t surprise me to see those options added - especially at a subscription price of $9.99/year.

Used to love this ap. But now I am having problems accessing my tools and my inventory. I was hoping that once I renewed the subscription things would work better. I want to uninstall the ap and then reinstall but I am not sure if all my information will be there if I do. If I can get it to work again I would give you a Five Star Plus!!!! I have told countless friend to get this ap Thank you for any help Robin

Essential Cross Stitching Tool. I inventory charts and kits. Tracking progress has been very helpful. Ability to enter fabric and threads details has saved me many times! I use the fabric calculator religiously. The developers do a great job keeping up with designers and providers of stuff for us. Best Stitchin tool app EVER!!

Doesn’t work!. Makes me sign in every time, which is annoying enough on its own. Completely unstable. Every time I try to use the chart “by designer” option, it drops out of the app. When I try to add a chart through search, it won’t save. Fairly useless so far.

Cannot get into app & no contact. I subscribed this app the spring and upgraded to XStitch Plus recently. I cannot get into the account which, I remember being able to do previously, and there are no there is no contact information anywhere. All of my inventory and any other data I entered in the regular XStitch app needs to be transferred to Crosstitch plus. It did not occur and there are no instructions. There really should be a responsive rep from the developer.

Mixed feelings. I liked the old app but thought I would try the new one. My only complaint is that I like my inventory to be organized by designer not chart name and I can’t figure out how to change the setting. Other then that the app is good.

Love this app. Very easy to use

Love!. This app pays for itself just keeping me from making a duplicate purchase. And I love the shopping basket option.

Great app. I like the fact that you can put submit pictures of the project that you are doing or all the ones that you have along with the information. I am a visual person. It is nice to see what I have instead of reading it and trying to remember. Thanks

Love it mostly. Love this APP so much but you really dont update it enough. What about Thread Gathere Aurora, silken Ribbons, silken pearls, silken Chenille?? So many new threads and ive heard since i got this app years ago ribbons would be added? Please add more threads, ribbons, beads etc….

Ability to add. App is okay for thread and fabric inventory, but for charts, well it’s very frustrating. Not all designers are listed and you cannot add a chart without choosing a designer, no ability to add missing designer either. Very frustrating and time consuming. Also the lists are long. I would like to add my own so my list would be short and accurate without me having to just select someone to add it to inventory. Currently not using this app.

Almost the best inventory app!. Live the app and using it regularly. Five stars if my thread list showed the color as well as the color name

XStitch Plus. Love this app. It keeps all my info together.

Great for tracking inventory. I am in my trial week of this app. I greatly appreciate the multiple thread companies and types, so I can inventory both the pearl cotton I use for needlepoint and cross stitch fibers. Yay! On the downside, there are NO instructions! I figured out it seems I have to save a thread to my inventory before adding it to the shopping list, but then doing so is easy, and can click multiple times or edit for quantities. Please add the ability to type in your own designer name for charts. Some of my charts are PDFs, so I have to figure out how to include those images. But the really big functionality that I am surprised is missing is the ability to click on an inventory item (thread, linen) and add it to a journal entry. Now all info to a journal entry has to be typed in. Or, I guess I can take a photo of the palette and upload that. I do most of my own designs, rather than buying charts.

Needs to be updated. The app really needs an update especially for the DMC threads - DMC has come out with a lot of new colors and numbers in their various threads but they are not identified in the app. Thank you

Super Helpful Organizational Tool. I love this little program. You can keep track of all of your inventory, including patterns, linens, threads. I love that there is a little note field in the thread section so you can be as specific as you want to be. I’ve recommended this to all of my stitch friends, it’s a must have.

Fantastic app - needs adjustment. This app is amazing. Really helps to keep everything sorted and clear to reference. I would like to make a couple of suggestions though. 1. When first entering a floss number, it would be nice to be able to type in the number rather than scrolling. 2. Minimizing how many confirmation pop-ups come up. It’s ridiculous how many times this happens when entering in one skein of floss. It’s kind of annoying. 3. Another suggestion would be if a skein or bobbin of floss is being used for a project to be able to put it in the inventory, but assign it to a project or show that it is off limits.

Still waiting. How long does it take for payment to go through? I paid the subscription price & received the confirmation from Apple, yet you continue to say I need to subscribe & I cannot get into the app. I had the regular XStitch app but it expired without me even knowing.

Xstitch plus. After paying for the second year, I discovered that all the information was deleted. After contacting Apple and Xstitch plus and trying all their suggestions…nothing made the app open up with all the information. Finally, I had to ask for a refund so I could start all over again. I am not happy.

Great app but.... I would like the developers to allow us to write in a the name of a designer if it isn’t listed.

Like it. I know they recently monetize this app, I had hoped they would be timely in adding the new floss to lists. Color and Cotton is several months behind. I was glad to see the data was shared between my phone and IPAD.

Subscription charge is very high.. I thought this was a free app, but it’s just a free trial followed by a $9.99 subscription charge. I don’t see any function on this app that justifies a yearly charge. I’ll stick to keeping track on my own.

Sneaky - it’s only a free trial, then $$$. I might have decided to keep it, but the scummy marketing practice of listing it as free, but burying the fact that’s it only a “free trial” deep in the description, made my mind up for me. I can keep my own inventory list, tyvm. Also $10 _per year_ for a LIST app? LOL Good luck with that. EDIT 2/2/2021 - my first review was in Feb 2020. The developers waited an •entire year• to respond and then tried to address my issue after at least a couple of updates have been made. Doesn’t instill confidence, sorry.

Xstitch Plus. XStitch Plus is a great App, but I would like the ability to add limited edition colors to all of my fancy flosses. I would also like to see Aurifil flosses included in the floss inventory lineup.

Very ray to use!. It’s a superb app... if you like to keep your supply list at your finger tips. But for me the fabric tab is to limited. I have perforated paper and “waste away” I am a bit more literal I suppose, but it was cause a fight in my brain to classify paper as fabric.

Awesome App. This app is a cross stitchers dream.

Good!. Three things from a beginner. Ability to customize designer name. Add multiples of same skein at once. Ability to load pdf charts. Still, very helpfu and glad I purchased it. Great for inventory.

Awesome. Shopping list! Inventory Let’s you know what size cloth you need you type in Journal It’s well worth it! Keeps track of your projects I would highly recommend it!!!!

Gisele. I’ve only started adding my floss stash to Inventory, but it’s been such a help to have all the floss names per company (Weeks, GAST, Colour & Cotton, etc.) already listed, and I just add my flosses accordingly - it’s been fun!!!

Victorian motto sampler shoppe. I love this app it’s nearly perfect. The only thing it’s missing is the Victorian motto sampler shoppe in the threads inventory list of threads.

Wonderful. This is a wonderful easy to work and very valuable app. Wish you had one for quilting projects would absolutely buy it !!!

Thinking about purchasing. This app looks very handy. Love all the threads, designers, etc. However, IMO it’s missing some things that would make it a truly great app. 1) Within a chart entry, I want to choose linen, threads, and beads from my inventories. A field for design size (stitch count) would be helpful (and a button to go to the calculator...?). I want to enter all the designer’s info about a chart easily on the entry page without having to type it. 2) Within a journal entry, there could be a checkbox “Kitted As Charted.” If it’s not selected, I can choose linen, threads, and beads from my inventories as in item 1 above. If it is selected, then the options for the inventory lists are dimmed or not visible. Probably should also include options for number of strands over number of threads, border size...anything standard that a stitcher might change from the original chart. 3) Why “Linen Notes” on the journal entry page but not also “Thread Notes” and “Bead Notes”? Suggest changing “Linen Notes” to “Chart Information” and making it a link to the chart instead of a notes field. To me, the journal entry is about my progress and my customizations, while the chart inventory entry is all the designer’s info. If I’m deviating from the designer’s suggestions on a project, that info would be recorded on the journal entry with the mechanism in item 2 above. 4) The journal entry page needs a Category or Tags field so I can use the search field on the main journal page to find/sort all of my Christmas, Halloween, Gift, UFO, etc. projects. Is that too much? :) Really, a good job overall, and I’ll probably purchase, but sure would like to see it go to the next level.

Lacking sort options. Very user friendly for data entry but you cannot sort by fabric count. Most Stitcher’s would want that option.

XStitch Plus. I am using this now to track my inventory and my projects. It works perfectly! I love organizing and this helps a great deal with my efforts. When I am shopping, it lets me know what I already have.

Pictures. So not a bad app but none of my pictures are uploading. If I take a picture with the camera in the app it uploads but if I want to choose a picture, nothing happens. Very frustrated because I use the pictures to keep track of where I am with all of my WIPs.
