Dark Souls feel!!. I really have been enjoying all of the interesting characters and bosses in this game, as an avid Dark Souls player I’m in love with the design and art in this game. Very cool concept, and a great game to have. Only thing I dislike is the absurd $30-90 buyable items, which is just greedy for such small amount of content, reduce these prices guys. You don’t need the buyable items but they’d help a lot. Other than that download it now👍🏻

Money Grab Game. I understand they gotta make money but give me a break. You need to get total of 6 of the same characters to get them to the highest level. Then you need bunch of crap to awaken that character 5 times. Then you need special items to upgrade your gears. Then you need to get different elements of characters to combat all the different levels. Then you gotta pay to auto repeat a level more then 10 times? Then you play pvp I was level 1 and Im against a level 60!!! Like seriously? Dont listen to these reviews sayying oh you gotta grind for all the stuff, bs you can grind forever and you wont get no where because every aspect of this retarded game is about $$$$$$$! Junk would give negative stars if possible.

Use to be. I play ever rpg/ mmorpg I can find and this one Use to be my favorite mobile rpg but now they have pretty much said they no longer want players that will not spend 100$s a month just to get shards...not hero’s but shards u get 1 for 100 battles if you lucky and you need 500 shards to get 1 good hero. Now what makes that worse is the new update that allows you to make your hero’s transcendence lvl 10 u now need 60 of the same character which will literally will take you years to get. This is awful and an insult to players and yes I know developers only care about money but word of mouth travels and this will spread this game has went from a great game to a pitiful excuse and nothing more than a cash grab...and you don’t even get your money’s worth 90$ spent on gems and you still won’t pull what you need....thx for the fun but I’m deleting this game y’all have killed everything I enjoyed about your game and if you would actually listen to players and put a moderator in chat you would see you are disappointing and losing a lot of players daily.

Game is good, but... I have played this game occasionally, when I had time.. I came back playing this game for almost a month, I was just getting tried because of disconnection from the games. From today on, I’ll say goodbye to this game. Second review, I came back plying this game not long ago, and I noticed that they need the players to pay for fun. I don’t suggest they are doing that just like SW. please do something instead of asking players to pay. Good luck to all of you!

Gives a nostalgic feeling. Normaly I don’t write reviews and don’t care about them, but this game is something else. It reminds me of dark souls, the characters, the bosses, the edgyness and the music OST. The game is insanly nostalgic to me and is the best mobile game I have ever played by far. Definitly give it a try. P.S. is there a way to disable the vibration that occurs every time after you win a battle, it’s really annoying me and can’t find a way to disable it :/ Still overall it gets a easy 5/5 rating

Amazing game but some issues. This games is amazing in every aspect but in two areas it’s lacks in voice acting and when I was playing I got one of the orange summons crystals and I summoned used the crystal and got the white head character on the loading screen then I used the character for a bit then when I was trying to upgrade a different character I tapped on the rare character and I thought it was a hazel because I had no hazels in my team but when I upgraded it was the rare character so if the developers do see this please make it so you cant put characters you have on your team allowed to be put in the materials area when you upgrade thanks and have a nice day

Huge quality of life improvements. Very F2P friendly and has so many awesome quality of life changes that makes this game so refreshing and chill to play, especially if you have a busy schedule and can’t be glued to your phone. Progress is steady and at a rewarding pace. You can easily complete all the content in the game without spending any money, especially with the generous events. Give this one a shot, hands down best fantasy gacha style ARPG I’ve played!

It was Really fun In the beginning. I’ve enjoyed playing this game for the past 3 weeks but unfortunately that would be coming to an end, for the game is finite! Once done with the world map, the only choices I see available is pvp, the occasional boss raid, and dungeon. which is not enough to keep me attracted. PVP in heir of light has a extremely unbalanced matchmaking system which the current event forces its players to play in order to complete the event. I feel the game and its events are starting to seem like a job instead of a game, on top of that it’s boring! And the idea of becoming the best in the world in pvp IN heir of light is unappealing. WHAT IM trying to say is I wish they would add more to the game and a new story itself and stop adding pvp and making players play it thru its events especially if it’s unbalanced. The game is worth playing in my opinion even if it is for a few weeks! There is a pay to win aspect which offers good deals to first players but afterwards MOST deals become 99$! PUMP YOUR BRAKES IS A MOBILE GAME 🤭 quit trying to drain the players of their money! I know you need to get paid too, but try lowing the prices! I’m sure players would be more inclined to buy if they could see more reasonable and affordable prices for your packages!

Most generous f2p with lots of improvements. If you’re thinking about trying this game out, please do so. This game has been very very generous for f2p, 5* heroes are given quite often and on top of that, the devs are constantly improving the game and tweaking heroes. Graphics and game play are top notch too, give it a shot, the game has been growing since their major update.

Dev’s Listen to Us!!!. This game is amazing. There has been a lot of change lately but it’s all been for the better. The developers actually listen to the community and implement new changes and suggestions. Though they haven’t actually released much new content in the form of story or new chapters, they have continually improved features and offered everyone more chances to obtain incredible characters and gear. Summoner’s War was nowhere near this level of awesomeness so early in the game’s development. Heir of Light offer tons of valor to keep even the most dedicated players busy building teams. This next update is going to be incredible. This has got to be one of the best games in the store when it comes to offering incentives for f2p. I highly recommend this game

It’s worth the play. I’ve played many mobile games similar to this but HOL is by far the best in class. The detail in the graphics are amazing, the combat action is continuous and active with sparks flying everywhere. HOL actually took the time to put a really great story together so I highly recommend you read it as you go. It is level based so there is a grind but with features like “auto” repeat it takes the sting out of the grind. The events are frequent and interesting with a lot of rewards coming to you. Unlike other games where it feels almost impossible to get that good 5* or equipment, HOL offers many ways for you to achieve what you’re looking for, from an intense crafting menu to an unlimited market or just the random drops from the dungeons. The f2p’s won’t struggle as mush here. My favorite part is the stuff, lots of stuff! HOL is very generous with free stuff. Imagine getting a 5* just because they did an update! Everyday HOL is giving you something! But if all that free stuff isn’t enough for you HOL has packs you can buy and in comparison with similar games these packs are reasonably priced for what you get. The Devs do a good job with keeping the game interesting by adding new content, servants and items and respond well to player feedback. Overall this game offers a lot and is definitely worth the play.

Awesome game. Really great, thoroughly entertaining game. Good mechanics, some of the best graphics I've seen in any game of this type. The game is still quite new and many different events are taking place. Log in rewards have recently been improved, so now they are very free player friendly! If you like gacha/character building games with a lot of strategy involved, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Supreme Stones to Greater Stones. Love the game, been playing for a couple years, my only request would be to have the ability to get 8 Greater Stones from a Supreme Stone, like you can get 8 Common Stones from a Greater Stone. I have over 200 Supreme Stones in most of the elements, and a very small amount of Greater Stones and Common Stones in any elements, it would make awakening my servants much easier.

Excellent Game - Some Flaws. This is a splendid game! I love the fact you don’t need to spend money to be good, though it certainly helps. There are a few flaws though. Transcending is cool and all but for LD 5* it’s next to impossible to use them unless you keep playing the game for years or spend insane amounts of money to keep up to pace with your rgb 5*. I get they’re more rare but that also makes the whole transcending aspect feel impossible and making the game very difficult to break into for new players when all the senior players have lvl 70+ ld and 80s rgb. If the PvP wasn’t pairing me against these players 99% of the time, it might not be an issue. You have a great game and some awesome aspects pulled from similar games (think toa in sw). However collabs hurt new players like myself. I really regret not having this game when AA’s and Valks were around or even John Wick for that matter. If you had some way for us to be able to obtain them other than Tower Invasion I would be very grateful because Tower Invasion just isn’t practical. All in all I will recommend this game to friends but I see some pain points which may prevent this game from the longevity it deserves.

This one is worth it. I’ve been on mobile gaming for a while. I like how they have the ‘look and feel’ of an MMORPG like WOW, but still be mobile. The auto battle feature is also very nice to have. Word to dev’s, keep up the good work, but please, do not add anything similar to violent runes from SW, or this game will become trash.

Awesome game. Still not fully understanding each build and what to do yet, but I am enjoying the game. The only complaint I have is a “power saving mode” glitch I get after a mission or if the screen lingers for a few moments. Please fix it because as I understand it, I can’t fix it myself so I have to close the app and reopen after practically every mission now. Edit: I love the game, but this glitch is really common.

Boring and confusing. I wanted to enjoy this, but I couldn’t. For starters, the majority of the characters you get just aren’t that interesting looking. I really don’t like that you have absolutely no choice as far as who you use other than who you luck out on getting that is powerful. The worst part is how confusing the game is. Sure, it has a ton of debt and a lot of options of things to be able to do, which is great. The problem is that there is no tutorial that walks you through all of it! So, a ton of stuff that you can do, but no clarification on how to do it. And asking others in the game is just a pain to do with the social interface. They need to create some type of guide that is easily found. There is no “help“ button in the game, so if there is some type of guide, I certainly couldn’t find it and gave up as a result.

Still not good enough.. It’s been years playing these dumb logic grindy games that don’t allow you to auto the grind. Honestly, we all do it: sit there hitting repeat battle manually while watching a show or doing something else. That’s the key here! We’re not paying much attention while farming experience to level people for example. This dumb logic that ‘we need people engaged in the game to get sales’ is just dumb. We’re not paying attention! This game for the fantastic price of $8 a month will give you that wonderful ability to run auto battles...yet finding another way to gouge money out of gamers. It’s very saddening how this game company can’t figure out how to give quality of life things. Am I able to turn off my phone and let it run battles for me? Nope. Just quit it with these tactics already!

Tedious game with bad summon rates.. As far as my experience with the game goes, it hasn’t been very satisfying thus far, I can’t recommend the game to anyone because I know they’ll just end up with a frustrating experience- biggest issue of which is the extremely repetitive, lackluster gameplay. The bulk of the gameplay is an extremely slow and tedious level-grind to upgrade your units while in-game difficulty peaks fast. Many of game’s in-game models (and even the orchestral soundtrack) was copied off the Dark Souls/Bloodborne games. The guild feature lacks purpose as well because there are no guild events and there’s not much to do aside from chat and train. As to the gacha aspect, I’m close to 400 epic summons on 2 devices and still haven’t obtained a single 5-Star base unit. Seems the devs deliberately made the 5-Star units almost impossible to get then offer starter packs and summoning bundles in the shop so that you just buy them up front. The entire experience of working hard just to end up with 3 and 4-Star base units while heavy P2W players get to show-off is a big turn-off for me. Rating: 3/5 Overall an unsatisfying experience, the game lacks direction and excitement compared to other mobile games.

Fun but can’t use anymore. Collecting the various characters is fun. You don’t need to spend money, if you spend the time you can get most of them. I guess if you want to be the best in the game you’ll have to buy but as a casual gamer I’m happy with it. It gets a bit “Grindy” but plenty of content. Unfortunately after the upgrade I just get a black screen so can’t play which means I can’t comment on the new changes. Hopefully they fix it soon before I move on to something else.

Strange RPG Concept. I played this game for a while out of interest in the artwork. Dark Fantasy is very static in a way that keeps it from being offensive like satire or bad humor. Dark Fantasy is practically non-criticism if not safe, even in a Totalitarian setting. I’m troubled with whether or not my game progress is considered a proprietary like “what I paid for.” Instead of something that has to be shared with others as Massively Roleplayer, an RPG is supposed to subtract moderation failure and forced cooperation to be more of a subtle art of patience and learning through improvement. I think Heir of Light is a total failure as a game. It’s probably haunted. Yikes.

No fun. I played this game for a while hoping that it would become fun. The graphics are pretty great and auto everything was nice at first. The problem is that there’s no real end game and instead of making some they just keep increasing character limits for more grinding and spending by players. Why would I want to grind for months to max a character (if you are lucky or rich enough to pull it 6 times) only to just move on to leveling more. There’s just nothing exciting to do. Level more or farm gear that’s it. Players need a reason to level and farm!!!

Good game. Great game and good gameplay, I’ve been playing this game from day one the graphics look amazing if your patient you’ll love it l, and has room for growth, the only downside is it’s pretty expensive if you want to support the in app purchases but i believe If your a fan of the “grind” this is for you this one that I’ll keep and feed as long as players w the stay balanced💯💯

This game is worth trying.... If you like dark fantasy atmosphere and beautiful graphics, this game has it. Otherwise, it’s just another pay to win game. You start out with excitement about a new game, play the PvE content, grind out experience and build your characters to meet and surpass each progression obstacle. The new update made the highest character levels unreachable without paying money. That’s why I give three out of five stars. It’s the same pay to win strategy in a different looking package.

3.5 upgrade bug. I given this game 5* because overall is a very good game, game play, story, easy to rise and get good servants with the fuse option, also I love the rewards and content that you get, you can level and farm things easy and fast with the auto option. However, my 1* review is for the bug after upgrading to 3.5, cant see the servants, everything is bugged, and if I try to run a dungeon can’t see the servants but the mobs kill my units, same at pvp, and it’s very frustrating losing rating and not being able to play, where usually I spend 2-4 hours a day on this game. It really needs to be fixed, I’m using iOS 12.3.1 on iPhone 8, already cleared cache, rebooted the phone and reinstalled the game, same issue happening on iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 10.(tried 3 different phones to make sure the issue was not mine). Hope this can be fixed and at lest I can get back my EXP bust that I purchased :/

Great game addicted!. Love this game and its mechanics its a nice change of pace from SW and DHC love the graphics and that each character has its own story. Its got a ton of challenges that reward you and helps you progress along the way. Keep up the great work I’m hoping the community grows in this game to be even more competitive since you can farm shards for units you want.

Getting better. I played this game in beta, then for about a month after official release. Came back to game about 2 months ago. Love the changes. Repeat battles, lots of events. Think I’ve gotten about 20 nat 5 since I’ve been back. The fusing system is awesome. Another way to get nat 5 summons. Fusing also cuts down on resources needed for evolving. If you played and quit when game first came out. Come back and give it another try. You’ll be impressed.

Great game/insane rng. Game is very fun and its art style is so good, the grind to this game is so insane tho. Im guessing this game is for those who go afk during work on for those who are busy but the ones who have nothing else to do besides sit and play are the ones who feel this pain. Maybe puting in like a instant clear like blitz or something for fights would be a thought for those who sit and play, the time it takes to level up one servant takes soooo long and i can see why alot of players leave this game, not because they think its bad or anything just because the hours on end just sitting there waiting for 1 servant to be maxed level then moving onto the next one.

Great but issue. I've been playing this game since it came out, and as usual in these games I make a second account after figuring out the best way to play in the beginning. So this game is great fun since I actually did make a second account, but currently have an issue to were it says I'm not connected to internet when I am. So I haven't been able to play for 2 days now. It's killing my buzz for the game especially because on GAMEVILS website I can't find a place to ask for help. It's a great game. it just should have a easier platform for issues to be spoken about.

Great game with developers that listen. This game is so much fun. The tutorials and missions are easy to follow, the events are great, and best of all? The developers listen. They are on discord, Reddit, Facebook... and when there is an issue, or you have a suggestion, they will listen and really put your suggestion on the table. I recall one thing off the top of my head that I suggested that actually made it into the next patch. They are quick to squash bugs too.

Love this game!. I have been playing since launch and I can say I have always loved this game. From its dark fantasy setting, to the beautifully rendered 3D models this game is eye candy. I appreciate how the Devs are constantly looking out for the long term health of the game and I especially enjoy how they actually listen to the community and make changes accordingly. I will admit the overall storyline is the weakest aspect of this game. It has been redone several times and I’d love for them to clean it up and make something memorable out of it. The game can be a tad grindy but then again they need to give you something to do so you don’t just cap out and run out of things to do/build. And yes while there are in app purchases YOU ARE NOT required to buy anything, in fact the game devs are very very generous in giving you free 5 star summon stones, karats and tons of other goodies just for logging in and doing events. I hope this game lasts a while cuz I love it!

Not bad. It’s not bad they give you everything you need to play the game without spending money great graphics team work and the monsters unique rune slot is my favorite you can put not just 2 different rune or 4 but 6 of the same big bonus love that but I hat spending money to level up the rune money is hard to come by middle game and late it would be better if they took it out as making 6 stars monsters and leveling up the rune and feeding monsters take a lot even evolve them just a one thing I don’t like kinda remind me of Summoners war witch I didn’t like other than that love the gothic them and music plus boss fight fantastic I say gave the game try

Oooofff. It’s actually a pretty good game and the graphics are just amazing. My only issue is there’s not enough characters, like there’s a pretty good amount I suppose but they’re all repetitive in different attributes/typings. Other than that it’s a pretty good game overall. P.S. an update came in March 31 (today) and it won’t let me update the game. I log in and it says *Client doesn’t support it* or something like that but when I go into the App Store it doesn’t say update only open. I can’t play because of this and I’m afraid of deleting and reinstalling because I don’t want to lose my progress.

Great balance!. The game’s graphics are amazing and the animation is smooth. Story was short but I’m looking forward to expansion updates! The in-app purchases are crazy expensive but the game rewards you for your time playing the game so it isn’t necessary to purchase. When I do purchase packs, I feel like I’m equally rewarded in in-app items. Difficulty isn’t bad either; not too easy, not too hard. They have a good number of characters for a new game, and I’m still expecting this number to go up as expansions come. Definitely a game I’m going to be playing for a while. I can see this game blow up. Great job, Gamevil! Been a fan since Zenonia. ♥️

Deleted after last update. Title says it all, played over a year put in a lot of work to get characters maxed out which used to need 5 units. New update now requires over ... wait for it.... 62 copies of low drop rate dupes to max out. How is that fun? Also I refuse to support any game that basically hits the reset button and says oh you spent money and maxed out a team? Well so what we the developers are going to reset all your work so start over. That’s just devious underhanded practices and I won’t be a part of it and neither should you.

Summoning RNG Is the only dislike of the game I have.. I love this game, and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to support it but when it comes to summon one of the new characters it’s REALLY Annoying trying to get them because who knows how many times you have to do it just to get one character... as I right this I have used up the last bit of Karats that you can get by farming the world, I’ve been trying to get the new character Ignis and I’ve wasted probably at least 10 to 25k karats and still haven’t got her, if you read this far thanks and if you couldn’t tell I’m very annoyed right now... Update on how much Karats I’ve wasted trying to get ONE person is up to 30 to 35k, and the event that gave every 1000 Karats, I pretty much just wasted them, this game is slowly becoming a game I never want to touch again...

Not pay to win!. Plenty of options to buy packs however I’ve only spent money for skins, summon rates are pretty solid, I get bat 5’s pretty often and good ones too! And the content is overwhelming in a good way! Once your done with world map there’s another hidden one once you unlock it, it’s non stop and the updates keep coming! Give it a try for sure the learning curve isn’t big at all :D

Before and After. I was excited for the release of this game. It has a different but still familiar feel to the gameplay. I got to test the pre-launch version of the game and was mildly impressed with the direction the game was going. The graphics are beautiful and the environment is astounding. The story is intriguing to say the least. If not for a few grammatical errors here and there it is one of the better mobile game stories available. A few quirks like the skill usage (there’s no reason 2 characters couldn’t use skills simultaneously) could be improved on. I get that the idea is to do a ‘real time’ turn based combat, but the result feels clunky. Rune system could use a bit more explanation and detail. An incorporation of mobs and bosses and a mixture of both throughout would enhance the experience of each level. Overall this game has a lot of potential and I look forward to the blossoming experience.

Just Awesomeness plain and simple!. Ive gamed avidly since i was old enough to hold a controller and played mobile games since their inception. This is as good as it gets, PERIOD. Instantly I was impressed at the beautiful details put into this game i cant say enough about them, just gorgeous. As i played i fell in love with the original characters and their powers. Simply top notch. The difference of play styles available is just grand! Yet the interface operates simple enough for first time players to figure it out with little to no difficulty. Every character has a interesting back story that correlates to their particular abilities be it strength or weakness and many have a interesting history with each other crossed paths before or affected another in some indirect manner. I could continue but why?! Just play it and enjoy the excitement of the Hinterlands for yourself already!

Amazing in genre, could be improved. Out of the collectible strategy rpg games out there, HoL is the best. Awesome graphics, theme, summon rates and ability to build out your teams. There is one fatal flaw for me though that I hope gets more attention. The auto ability of this game is so good I end up not needing to play except for moving around gear or selecting next stage. This is a huge miss in my opinion and I would like to see more work done to address the engaging aspect of this game. 10/10 on everything else.

Must have.. If you are into summon based games, this one takes the genre to a new level. There is a lot master as a player, none of which can be done the first day of play. Graphics are top tier. Reuse of a kind for the different elements change the character from a dps to a support, tank, or healer class. A lot to see, play it. They keep it updated and the GUI is better than any I’ve played.

Most of the characters have the same skills. This game is essentially the spiritual successor to summoner’s wars, which is a good thing. The downfall of this game, and the reason why I gave it one star, is because the developers are lazy with skill development. Most of the 4 star and 5 star characters have similiar or identical skill sets. For example my fire Heylel (5 star) has an max armor debuff, max atk buff, and a combo ability. I later pulled a fire Lucien (5 star) which has the exact same skill set with the except of a slightly different combo skill and leadership. Essentially most 4 and 5 star units of a certain class (tank,dps,healer) have the same/similiar skill sets that are copied and paste over and over again. This is lazy development that diminishes the quality of rare pulls.

Great game for the genre. Characters are gorgeous, and thankfully unlike many games they give plenty of love to male characters as well as the girls. Art in general is just lovely. My only axe to grind with this game is how ridiculously expensive all the packages are (especially for skins alone), with little to no ‘bargain’ packages ever showing up. At least they’re relatively generous with the freebies! Love them for that :)

Read this review!!!. Avid mobile gamer here. I have played many/every rpg and Arpg I can find. I’ll start by saying this game is beautiful, even on the lowest graphics settings. Cool unique characters with unique skills so you have to build multiple teams and setups and use strategy to beat harder levels. To address the poor reviews. All of them seem to be complaining that you are not just given the best things in this game like some other Argps. This is true, it is a grinding strategy game which I like because I know what my goals are, even if it takes a while. I like feeling accomplished, but yes it is Grindy at some points. There is auto fight option but during the auto you can still choose skills to use in the moment without turning it off which is a great feature that makes it interactive. To address the gatcha system, it’s like most, where the strong units seem rare, because they are, but I and many other players have had runs of good luck as well. It can definitely be f2p it just takes a bit longer, but it’s still very doable, many people and in chat are f2p and casual. The chat is friendly and people will always give advice so ask what to save gems for and such. It’s a new game so stick with it and if you feel stuck just remember that with farming, even casually, you will get better, not to mention that I’m sure it has many changes coming in the future!! (If they listen to us *wink wink*)

So, a few things...... Alright so first off, the game isn’t bad. A bit confusing, a little odd, but not bad. The gothic dark souls-esque vibe I get from the setting is kinda nice. I also have to appreciate the time logged in reward system. Gives me a reason to play instead of just log in. HOWEVER, the game has a few issues, that vibe I get is completely and utterly killed by a few of the summons you can get. Namely, the ones with guns. We are in a fantasy world with magic, squirrel knights, archers, and swordsmen, and suddenly there’s John Wick (not a joke, he’s a summonable character). It just doesn’t make sense. Also, I really have to nag on the fact the cheapest pay option is ten bucks. That’s not a micro transaction. There are some better games on the App Store worth that much, and I’d rather buy one of those then have a “chance” at some summons I want

For Fans of Summoner Wars. If you are avid player of that wonderful game, you will find a lot of happiness here! The design is basically the same, upgrading characters, powering them with Runes, etc. However! Whereas SW has more cartoony graphics, HoL employs a vividly-detailed game with breathtakingly gorgeous characters with a much darker theme. While Summoners War has a blue knight as a default starter character, this game has a Bride. That seems to be dead. Wearing a bloody wedding dress. Holding a lantern in the shape of a skull. Darker, slightly morbid, but incredible! Also, don’t expect to see your characters taking pot shots from one location. Expect them to be moving around the Battlefield. Even though there is an Auto feature, you still have some control over what attacks to take without turning auto off. While it is turn-based, it doesn’t feel like it is, and the combos are amazing! I’ve only played this for an hour, but I am hooked. Try this game, you won’t regret it!

FTP player here!. I play summoners war so it was interesting to see them collab with a game as young as this! I originally downloaded this game to earn coins for another mobile game and wow I’m impressed! Like any game the summon rates are regular like any other game honestly, some ftp people just get lucky. Much Improved. As the title states, this game has improved greatly since launch. Many quality of life changes such as fast CDs which speed up combat a great deal, auto repeats for dungeons(10 at a time, should be infinite, but it’s a start). The summon rates seem better, I’ve got about 4 five star summons just casually logging in over the past couple of months. Paying no money since launch. Graphics are top notch for a mobile game, don’t let anyone suggest otherwise. Smooth FPS and I personally have never encountered any connection issues. The game does get difficult and the strategy is surprisingly deep in order to keep progressing. Anyways, it’s a unique game of its type in a lot of ways, and seems to be steadily improved...plus they give tons of free stuff, what’s not to like there. Give it a chance, it will grow on you.

Pretty good.. Among the more aesthetically pleasing games I’ve played on mobile. The supplies both visually and audibly. I’ve yet to get too deep into the mechanics, but it seems engaging enough, if a bit shallow. Many other mobile RPG‘s have this problem, however this use as a stopgap solution in making itself an action RPG. The depth allowed is supplemented by a moderately fast paced combat system. I’m not certain how it interacts with monetize Asian, or what the late game is like, I’m offering this review about an hour and a half into playing the game, as that’s one a pop up for a review came up. Leading me to believe that this is about as far as the game expects you to play. Blame the poor typing and grandma on the iPhone keyboard.

One of the best. I’ve played many many phone games over the years and this is one of the best rpgs out there. Every character serves a specific role, and even after you don’t use them anymore, you can think back fondly to how they got you to your current stage. Miya and her healing early on, Ophelia and her petrified..., Ishmael and his tanking. And each character that got you past a stage you couldn’t beat. Truly fantastic game - writers put a lot of thought into character design. Definitely give this game a chance. Did I mention it’s free to play?

Major issues. Don't get this game as it's not worth playing as there's been a major stuff up. On a side note irrespective of stuffup is this the kind of world you really want to live in? Let's not perpetuate evil.

Change is Good. Firstly, I’m a GuildMaster of a top20 guild in the game, so I’m all in. At first I was annoyed by the constant changes to the game... sometimes favourite functions completely disappear, replaced by completely different gameplay. But after a while I realised the devs really are working hard (& listening to us) to make a great game that constantly improves. You won’t find a better game that gives away so much anywhere. Honest. It used to be a quiet enjoyable game and I love the style of the game and the character design but the limited access to elemental dungeons and you don’t even fight them except for the first time you do is a stupid system and I have played it since release unfortunately idk if I will be able to continue playing it

Great game and abit weird. It’s a great game the way it’s set up and the leveling system, characters designs it’s all really good. My problem is the magic dungeons and raids are abit to hard I mean come on a level 7 taking down my level 40’s it don’t make sense. All around love the game hopefully this continue to operate and I hope for a number 2 of this game.

Update 2.1. The devs changed the runes to gears which...why??? They tried to fix something that didn’t need fixing. The runes were easy to tell apart at first glance with their simple shapes and icons. The gears just have too many details and variations between different sets that it requires me to squint at my phone screen for a long time before I give up from my eyes hurting too much.

Game breaking bug. I like the game, but I went to enhance my 4star unit only for it to disappear out of my inventory list afterwards. I can't rate this any higher. I'm just beyond upset right now.

This game is brutal don’t waste your time. So they send out global launch rewards to everyone, apparently there system messed up, duplicated items, and because of there error they issued everyone that gotbthere rewards a 3 day ban!!’ Like cmon, just roll it back and say you messed up! For this reason alone I can see how this game is and will never spend money on it, nor play it again. Please don’t waste your time on this game!!!

Com2Us is usually better than this. I have a new iPad mini 6th gen and iOS 15.2. Takes multiple attempts to login, if you accidentally double tap on main screen it’ll start 2 logins and never login. Wouldn’t let me claim my 7 day login reward, ripped off. UI is weird and not intuitive. Its like this game was made by a bunch highschool kids. No UX thought, shotty rewards and constant pop ups. Oh and tricks you into watching a video, when it claims you have rewards. I like the idea of the game but it needs another 6 months of cleanup and polish.

Ok so far. I’ll give it a better review if I can even get past the tutorial without crashing. I’ll see what I can do.

I really tried. The game has great graphics. A good idea for playing. But after two months of playing it and spending over 100$. I only got one 5star character via drop. And if you want light or dark characters. You basically need to spend cash. And still not promised good ones. I really wanted this to be a good game but in the end all these bad draws. Really bad drop rates. Over 50 summons of 3-5 rarity and have about 5 bad 4 stars which includes duplicates. The gaucha rates are really bad. No more money from me!! Graphics are amazing, gameplay is nothing new. This one doesn’t stand out far from the bunch. Fairly generous with paid currency but it appears that the free karats will dry out quickly.

Wow, Much Improved In 2.0. Better rates, better interface, better mileage. Graphics and sound are still top notch. Difficulty is just right and requires tactical thought. Really polished game (now, wasn’t so hot at launch). Lots of free stuff happening for launch, so it’s a great time to check it out.

Absolutely gorgeous game! BUT. If you love “strategically” pressing one button at a time then there are no games better than this one... however if you’re disappointed by the waste of time effort and talent that went into this game over an ARPG then join the massive club.

Mode économie d’énergie. Merci beaucoup pour avoir mis un mode économie d’énergie beaucoup de jeux n’y pense même pas. Sinon en français, mode histoire pas trop prenante et qui nous fait oublier les combats qui ce ressemblent. Graphisque top one. Pas pay to win pour le moment. J’aime qu’on puisse choisir les combats d’avance car on peut voir l’animation du combat choisi. Certain jeux on pas ce choix et vu qu’on veut pas mourir on regarde moins l’écran donc on va moins les animations... je sais pas si vous comprenez ce que je veux dire je savais pas trop comment l’expliquer...

Great game with excellent graphic. Similar style to summoners war, graphic is amazing. Different characters have different ultimate animation. Definitely can see this game getting into the top list of games.

Great game!. This game is an amazing collection RPG with terrific graphics and a dark edgy style you won’t see anywhere else! The 5* drop rate is not low like the other review says, I’ve played for about a month and have summoned 3 already with out spending a dime. It’s has a similar play as Summoners war so for those of you that enjoy COM2US, this is definitely the GAMEVIL game for you! They could work on adapting a more interactive PvP section and perhaps bright events but besides that you have to try it to really be the judge.

Looks great but frustrating to play. given the fact that this is a gamevil game, i expected it to be good, the elemental feature is great but the time you get to powerful dungeons, you will realize that you need almost 3 pets per element, because of the weakness of your current pets... also the summoning is kinda difficult, especially the karat summon...cant even get at least a sure 4-5 star when you use 10x karat summon

The valor you give to players is a just absurd, I get it, you want them to keep playing and not worry about energy (valor) but, I don’t if it’s just me, but I have reached max valor(9999) and I am doing quests, I can’t go on to the next quest sometimes, because of the mandatory requirement of collecting the valor, please do something about this.

Interesting Concept. The game has an interesting concept. It's a gothic themed ARPG where you summon different heroes to help you in your quest to conquer Darkness. My only issue with the game is the ridiculous summon rates. If they were better, the game would be better.

It’s actually very good, but…. It’s HEAVILY oriented toward male gamers to a nauseating level. I would spend a lot of money on it if it wasn’t literally 80% women with annoying voices. Like it kinda kills the game unless it’s muted completely. I’m begging the developers reading this to add more men to the game…

Won’t work. Starts up and when it finishes loading says includes trial servant(s) have expired (6034)then tries to reload and I can not get past the screen you have to tap to awaken. I play everyday please fix this

Heir of Light. Excluding the low rates for 5 stars servants the game is amazing. Stunning graphics a really interesting story that puts the player as a main character. And after the recent update the game has also awesome features! So except the low rates by my opinion I could say its a perfect game!

This one is worth it. I’ve been on mobile gaming for a while. I like how they have the ‘look and feel’ of an MMORPG like WOW, but still be mobile. The auto battle feature is also very nice to have. Word to dev’s, keep up the good work, but please, do not add anything similar to violent runes from SW, or this game will become trash.

Great game but crashes a lot. This is by far one of the best RPGs out there but it comes at the cost of 10+ crashes in a couple hours of gameplay. If it wasn't for the crashing it'd be a full 5 star game.

Hard to make progress. A good game but soon u will feel very hard to advance, game guide is very long and confuse, such as: how to active marks and combo, game guide not helping. Character designs are beautiful, but building up is boring and hard. Waste lot of time to grinding still not much differents. At certain point u will realized u cant get descent gear or awakening material to advance.

Well... That happened.. Look I’m going to be completely honest, the game looks nice or what little can be played on IPhone anyways... After that second battle the game just crashes endlessly so your game is kind of defunct. And using that worn out line about it being my device isn’t cutting it. Fix your game then you’ll get a better rating until then this game is kind of a waste of time and effort.

Game crashes after update. I use iOS and after the update the game says I need to update it in the App Store even though I already updated it. Now after I open it, it still wants me to update it and then after I click update it just crashes and disappears. I’ve tried restarting my phone and reopening and I get the same issue. Please fix!!!!

The endless tutorials. Can you please remove the feature that forces you to upgrade something, or select something you may not want to select? I’ve been playing the game for days now and I have no clue when the forced tutorial ends. It’s annoying, let me make choices on my own

LOVED THE GAME SLIGHT PROBLEM. I love this game so far but I went to go to the transcendence quest and used the xp bun they give you then had to level up my on 2star bun thinking it would give me the quest but I did not and now I won’t be able to do the quest at all because it specifically said that xp bun

There needs to be a was to skip the tutorial. It’s simple if you have played this game before or if your like me and have some experience with this stuff the there needs to be a way to skip it good game otherwise.

Good, not Great. The game is very good in general, I have nothing to complain except the characters has too many duplicated skills, the only unique is passives which makes the game less variable. On the other hand the F2P friendly really makes the game shine from other games out there!

Great opportunity to start a game off the right way!. With the amount of 5* units we begin the game with and with a little luck, I started with eight (8!) 5* units and was lucky enough to roll one with special summons, meaning, I got exactly what I wanted! This game is going to be fun!

Okay Game. Heir of light is has a interesting fighting mechanic and intriguing storyline. One major complaint I have with this game is the Enhancing Failure on things. I went through 100k coins just to get one rune up ONE LEVEL because I kept getting a fail on the enhance. Please fix that one major issue or at least reduce the frequency of receiving an enhancing fail.

BEST game on App Store. I never ever review apps, but this one has by far the most in depth gameplay and best graphics on the App Store. The developer is in constant contact with everyone and constantly makes amazing improvements and additions. Seriously, this app is next to none.

A great game!. I came from Summoners War because of the collaboration event but I didn’t expect to stay. This game hooked me instantly because of its great character design and easy mechanics.

Liking it so far!. I’ve played my fair share of collectibles mobile games, and I’m pleased to say this is one of the best. The character art is phenomenal and the tutorial was helpful for understanding how to play. The combat still feels like a press play to watch the characters go - which is the only reason why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.

Simply amazing.. really just amazing!. So i have played hundreds of mobile games or at least tried them out.. This game deserves 5* because it is simply amazing, love whole concept from characters n upgrades to runes n upgrades.. Will be playing this for a long long time, hopefully they will add an expansion to add the last missing component of the elements “Air”... They have everything else fire, water, earth(forest), light and shadow :) Been playing Star Wars heroes for like 2 years but this game feels like more fun.. cant wait to see what content will be added over the next year or two :) Great Job guys

Aesthetic. Honestly it’s one of the best games I’ve played. The story detailed, the characters are dark and creepy with a brighter one every once in awhile. And it’s darker which is what I’ve been looking for. I’ve always wanted a game like this with collecting characters and the likes. It’s beautiful and I love the characters. Great job!

Still a hidden gem!!. I’ve played this game prior to when gamevil took over the licensing, and I still love the aesthetic and entirety of this game. And it’s apparently idle now!! That’s crazy!! Never had to pay for any in-game bonuses either!

When am I able to play?. Tired of all these mobile games with never ending tutorial modes. Why would I "play" a game that is nothing but click here, read this endless monologue, 20 minutes in and still not able to do anything outside the guide. Game might be fun, I will never know because I didn't get to a point where I could actually play.

Good Game. Great game that is quite challenging and yet very rewarding. I’ve played a ton of games like this in concept but this one takes the cake for balance. They don’t give you too much or too little and that makes for a great experience.

Great game ruined by new update. I loved this game all the way until the new update. Stupid paywalls ruins the fun and enjoyment, the new Purifying Ground is the worst thing added to the game as a free to play player, locking it by a paywalls that only 30 days to even actually be able to use it. All my characters that I even use are all to strong to even use it as a F2P player that I can’t even use it and completely pointless for me.

Only thing I hate. The game is good love the graphic and the dark style but only thing I hate is that you can’t use 5 star origin characters for enhancements so your stuck with copy’s it’s very annoying

Non stop excitement!. This is an amazing rpg! The graphics are quite impressive. I also like that you can have an auto mode that will fight villains and automatically choose abilities as well. I love it! You have to download this game!!

Not a pay to win. There’s frequent seasonal givings, events, gifts from GM, etc. Love this game because its characters are easier to build on than Summoner’s War, which is saying something. The plot ended rather quickly but I don’t mind because of the music, the details of the game, and frequent updates.

one critical flaw. This game has so much potential. It's beautiful and engaging. It's much like Summoners War, but the design choice to use real-time battles in place of turn-based battles has robbed the game of the deep strategy available in SW. Introduce turn-based battles in this game and it is a sure winner that can draw the following SW still has!

Was once a good game….. But now another COM2US money grabbing project. Their first event, over Christmas, was a big disappointment and made it obvious the game had changed hands. This game was a welcome change from the frustration of Summoners War, but now It is already starting to go downhill. What a shame…

So much potential but fails at the small things. Could be one of the best games. Constant updates with lots of content. You can advance without needing to pay. But the game is so buggy. Summon stones will disappear. You can try contacting support but it takes days for them to respond and no resolution is offered. I’ll try again later and hope they’ve figured out the basics.

You shouldn't play this game. I had link my game center account and i just didn't play it for a few month. When i came back, they deleted my account and left me nothing. And this game now is more and more boring, it has a lot of bugs than it was before. I think there are many game that would be better than this game.

Bad games rush new players. The easiest way to tell if a game is going to be bad is to look at their new player event. If it terminates at any time, they're clearly trying to rush you, into something. And they demand you have full mastery of the game from the first second, or else you can't earn the prize. If you opened the game then closed it because you were busy, that timer starts counting down. By the time that new player even knows there was an event, the time has expired. It is a clear statement: "We don't care about your time, and we don't care if you have fun playing this game" -the devs

Best nerdy game I’ve played in a while. Love the heavy focus on stats and ways to upgrade champions. Please give us more opportunities to get light and dark monsters. Hope the best for y’all and your hard work on this game 👍
