Sad.... I’d love to give this game 5-stars... but WHERE is the other stuff? The online stuff. The outfits that there are achievements for buying. It’s like the game was released while it the bonus content was still under construction, and then the game was abandoned. Sounds like it’s been this way for years. My OCD achievement hunter self hates me right now because I can’t get all the achievements... due to the unavailable skins.

Pretty good. We got spoiled whit the first two GOF but this game ain't bad. Graphics are pretty good. Controls could used some improvements. I would gladly keep supporting this game if they keep expanding it and adding features and content. Since Fish Labs took a big dump on GOF3 and ruined it. Here I would like to see larger ships, maybe some crew members that add perks, create your own squad and be able to upgrade them, maybe raid or steal enemy ships would be cool. You know be a pirate. Some auto canons or turrets would be helpful in larger battles. This game has a lot of possibilities and I would gladly pay for the add-ons and expansions as long as quality and entertainment are there. 👍👍👍👍👍

Fun little space ship game!. This is a great little game. For a mobile game, it looks and plays great. If you want a fun little space ship shooting game, this is it! I also love that the game is not “free”. This game has a classic structure to it. No waiting for timers or having to pay extra to progress. You just buy it and enjoy the game!

Nice Game. I love this game it’s very exceptional. The best thing I like about it is how quickly you can upgrade. Unlike some apps to where they make you pay to go further on in upgrading.

Awesome. This is one of the best games I’ve played in a long long time. Well worth five dollars don’t even hesitate. Plus it’s not a pay to play game. Buy it once and you own it. Fun Replacement for GOF. GOF was ruined by FishLabs but luckily we now have Subdivision! I haven’t played long but I’m already glad I made the purchase! Recommend you pick it up, especially if your are/were a GOF fan!

Resolution Change. I just updated the game to version 1.21. I play this game on an iPhone 7. I can’t play the game due to the resolution change meaning the game’s screen is cut off due to the increase in screen size (I’m guessing for newer phones). Will this game remain compatible with older phones or can I go ahead and delete the game now?

Finally - not IAP dependent!!. This is a terrific game, not least for the fact that you don’t need to keep spending to do well. In fact, you can’t keep spending! You can play and win the whole game without spending an additional cent. Great graphics and elegant game play. I can live without the cheesy dialog but you can’t have it all. Great job folks - kudos!

Pretty Awesome. Good so far. Fly around shoot stuff. Upgrade you ship with stuff you earn in the game instead of most pay to win games out there currently. Got some story as well.

Sweet!. A premium quality game. It has many features loved by the fans of this genre yet keeping it nice and simple. If you liked GOF1 and 2 but don’t like the freemium nature of GOF3 then this is what you’re looking for! One complaint though. The tilt controls could definitely use some improvement, I can’t seem to be able to pitch down at all!

Pretty good so far. Well, that and though it feels in weapon selection, customization very linear seen in many 3rd rate game. Though the game has some redeeming factors. Though the aim identifier idk how to turn off.

Not so great iPad controls. This game is great but like a lot of games the controls are useless on an iPad - touch controls are uncomfortably too low and tilt has no adjustment for deadzone. Floating stick option would be great and possibly tilt for throttle. Whatever you do give the player more fine tuning options like Grid Autosport for example.

Great game but cannot build a new ship or buy one. This game is not quite as extensive as GOF2 but it definitely fills the space shooter niche, even if the world is extremely linear. Both mining and exploring are pretty basic and the levels can get nearly impossible quickly and then get super easy. I've been playing the game for about 6 hours and even enjoy the free melee section to bring and get XP However.... For the longest time I couldn't seem to buy or build a new ship. I finally found the right arrow on the ships page Wish the controls weren't so laggy and did not oversteer so much. A lot like GOF2 in that respect.

Worthy successor to GOF2.. While not as polished as GOF2, it has a decent enough story. No voice acting, but it’s okay, because you’re thrust into the game fairly quickly. I’ve not yet beat the game but I’ve played enough that I decided to write a review. The best way I can describe the game is a combination of both GOF2 and GOF3. Pros: Easy to use UI. Very similar to GOF3: Manticore. You’ll be flying in no time. The “momentum” you build from accelerating makes for some awesome shoot-while-turning maneuvers. The upgrades are nice and quick: no waiting or speeding up or using different types of currency. 100% not pay to win. All upgrades are available through in-game currency and there is no in-app purchases. All prices on ships and equipment are easily achievable. Mining is waaaay easier than GOF2. The ships look nice. While the graphics aren’t as eye popping or gorgeous as GOF3, they still did an excellent job as far as graphics go. You explore to collect blueprints for bigger and better ships. Basically plays a LOT like a mix of both GOFs. Very minimal storage space on your phone or tablet. Cons: Again, the graphics aren’t as beautiful as GOF3. The weapons, while powerful, don’t “look” as cool as some other space games out there. Don’t get me wrong, they’re perfect for the game, they just aren’t as cinematic as I’d like. Honestly there isn’t much else to the cons. If you loved both GOF games, download this game right now. Five out of five.

Finally. The things with these space games on mobile is they are always really crappy, or it’s online but needs super powerful connections and drains battery fast. It’s pretty fun and just what I was looking for. The story is just a bit short and I hope they add more in the next update.

Decent game. It’s a decent space shooter but I feel like it could have been more. The space shooter genre on mobile has sadly not had any new additions lately but this game is a nice game for a quick pick up game. If you want to grind Galaxy on fire 2 is still the game to play.

I LOVE this game.... I'm about 2/3 of the way through this game and it's been great from the beginning. The controls are nice and fluid, the most recent update allowed me to choose my own time in the free hunt, and it gets progressively harder as you go. The controls are pretty fluid and the settings allow you to fine-tune them the way you like. Adding the ability to replay levels was a great idea. When I'm done with the game I can go back and keep fighting just because it's fun. You have to make allowances for the story though. Through the game you have to buy weapons and ships and craft special ships. You and the other characters are out in the middle of space with no connection to the rest of the universe except an arms dealer and a starfighter repair shop? Still, it adds a challenge to the game which is nice. So, please, support the game so it keeps getting better.

Good but not great. Not nearly as good as Galaxy on Fire 2. Fun, but limited in content and gets difficult pretty suddenly. Graphics are good. The fact that you're supposed to speed up to avoid being hit and can't out-maneuver ships (largely because there's a lot, all firing at you at once, and turning feels sluggish, at least in early ships) feels like a copout.

Great start. This is a great game. I would happily pay for an expansion that got more levels, ships and upgrades. Free roaming like in gof2 would be great. Also could use some variety to ship characteristics. All the ships behave the same, you’re just upgrading for stronger shields and weapons. But very well done.

Very nice.. Good job Dev. Yes a lot like GOF but I find it more relaxing so far. The ship flies a bit on the stiff side. It doesn’t bank and soar like I think it should. Other than that it’s a great. Lots of things to do. Gameplay is thought out and organized. Graphics are very nice. A lot of fun and superior in a lot of ways to GOF. Recommend highly. One thing is I have Gear Crates but can’t open them. What am I missing?

Worth it!! $. *****Still 5 stars but... Please fix tilt controls, needs some refining. Have lost boss battles due to tilt controls doing the opposite turn at critical moments. Great game but... The tilt steering definitely needs some attention! iPhone X iOS 12.1.3.....please fix the tilt steering, very frustrating in an otherwise FANTASTIC GAME. THANK YOU!****** Excellent thank you developers! My only issue worth mentioning is sometimes touch controls go haywire when tilting and seem to invert the axis on their own. Or sometimes when turning left or right touch controls will go the opposite way. Doesnt happen often and no regrets great game especially no IAP's!!!! Wish it had multiplayer. Played the game all the way through the main missions. Grinding in free hunt let’s you level up and by new things if the current mission is too difficult which is nice. Being able to use my steelseries controller is a great plus. The only thing I wish it had was multiplayer: team death match, co-op, etc

Great game but could use more. I love this game, the controls are excellent, the story is awesome, and the gameplay is great, but I think this game could use more. By use more I mean more everything, more ships, more weapons, more levels. I think there should be more to unlock. This is a great game and I hope you will enjoy it too.

Amazing Graphics. This game by far has the best graphics of any game I've ever played. That combined with an amazing storyline makes it an amazing game well worth $5. I cannot, however, rate it 5 stars, because the storyline is short. I get that they're still working on new locations, but it only took me about 3 days to finish the game.

Grrrreat. Excellent! Loving it. Perhaps a roll/evade mechanic ala GoF would be helpful. Steering controls mapped to whole left side instead of joystick would be nice. Looking forward to hopefully some more mission variety in future updates.

Awesome Game!!!. One of my favorite space combat games. I like it because it supports the Nimbus MFi wireless controller so well, I can actually play this game with ease. Most space combat games using a controller are hard for me to play, but this game works superb with a controller! As far as the game goes, it has console quality graphics and gameplay. One of the best iOS games IMO! You are able to grind to get ore and money to purchase ships, weapons, upgrades, etc. There are many ships and weapons to buy. The game could be deeper, but it is geared towards fast, fun gameplay! Looks like a lot of content and replay-ability! Excellent game! BIG KUDOS to the devs!!!

eh. Everyone’s comparing it to GoF. So I will too, since gof is so so awesome and basically the same concept. By comparison, this one’s a little slow at the beginning, not too many options, limited ships and ship upgrade types, a little clunky. Flight dynamic is pretty good, better than gof2. This one is waaaay limited on the free story end by comparison. But it’s not pay to play, which I hate and never ever do.

Great game. I loved playing this game. The problem is now that I’m done I can’t find other games at this level without all the in app purchases which I hate.

Really Great. Don’t write reviews too much but this game is really great. Shooting action is the same as Game of Fire so I was pretty familiar with it. Game is much shorter with a decent storyline, amazing graphics, and lots of fun to play... only wish it was longer! Sorry to finish it and can’t wait for the next installment. Definitely worth the small price upfront - no ads and nothing else to purchase in the game. 5 stars. Class act!

Rare gem of a game.. This is a surprisingly great game. There are few apps let alone games that I spend time writing a review for but this one is definitely worth it. One of the only games I'll keep on my phone even after beating it.

Great Game!. Even though I understand that there was supposed to be additional content, I’m enjoying the game immensely. I spend most of my time mining and chilling out and progress the story for a change of pace. Would love to see the game updated with the promised content, but it really is great as it is, especially with no iaps!

Excellent. But wish it was longer. Like that it doesn't make you pay in order to be able to progress like other games. Would, though, happily pay for more levels like this.

Worth the money, a successor to GOF2. To clarify: lacks the RPG depth of GOF2 but has amazing controls, awesome graphics, and well thought out environments. If you played the old GOF for its dogfighting and good controls, look no further. Additonally, this does not require an internet connection to play, which is a godsend to those who play games while traveling. The developer has been great about fixing bugs too - had an issue with screen scaling (8+,IOS12) and a fix has been released fairly quickly.

Great game, could use a few upgrades. I absolutely love how the ships handle, and the affects of the game look wonderful. My only suggestion would be this: add a feature so that we can control the speed of the ship. Slow it down, speed it up, and then you guys can implement that with the boost system that's already in place. But all in all, this game is wonderful.

Great alternative to Galaxy on Fire (GoF). This game does not (yet) have the depth as GOF2, but is a much better game than GOF3. The acceleration is better now, as it is not 'all or nothing'. It would be nice to be able to slow or stop, especially when a blueprint is inside a box-like area. The radar addition is helpful, too. I still like GOF2 better (much more depth), but this game does deserve 5 stars for what has been created so far.

I finished. The last boss was hard but I got a new ship and did it I liked the other bosses I got angry but did it I like space and shooters so I thought that this game is the perfect game for me I can’t wait for Daar colony and outpost hano 16 I think there will be more ships in the future hope you like this game

Great Rpg space game. Great gameplay , and it's not pay to win. You build and upgrade according to the time spend doing side work and mining. It's just way to short. Add more missions , and mining storyline modes too! I enjoy mining for resources.

Amazing Game, Low on Content. I love this game, it has amazing controls, a good ship variety, good bosses, and cheesy dialogue. I will admit it can get pretty frustrating when you almost kill a boss but accidentally crash. The biggest issue is that; I just completed the game and I only spent about 7 hours on it. That may seem good but on my favorite mobile game (War Robots)I’ve spent dozens of hours on it and it’s free. Basically, if it had multiplayer it would give more play time, and if you have to choose one game ( for younger kids) you probably shouldn’t pick this game.

Entertaining but.... Great game. Don’t need to pay as you play. Just would really like an update as I’ve finished available levels but there’s two teaser levels that I would love to complete. Please update people!!

Great game; not worth $5.00. I must say I very much enjoyed this game. For one, it has stunning visual graphics and an easy-to-learn control system. The story is also at least mildly interesting. That being said, I have one major problem that ruined the game for me. There is a complete lack of content. I finished the story in less than two hours. After that, there is virtually nothing to do. Yes there is free-play and you can replay levels, but this gets old very fast. It is not worth paying $5.00 for a game I get a couple hours out of and uninstall.

My favorite app game in years. I really like this game. I play a lot of app games and this was the first one in a long time where when I hit the last mission I was sad! Launch the expansion already! =)

Great game, needs more updates. So this is a great game overall, and one of the better downloads I’ve made from the store in the past year. Gameplay is fluid, fun, and challenging. Unlike the “freemium” games out there, this one you just pay for, and you can earn enough resources in the game to get what you need to advance. The graphics are good, and the story is engaging enough. There are a couple things to improve. First, it needs more content. You have about a half dozen direct fire weapons, and two missile weapons. That’s it. What you have is nice, but it’s not that varied. Same with the ships. Second, it’s a short game. There aren’t that many areas so the story ends pretty quickly. So about the time you can unlock a really powerful ship and weapons, the story is over. You can get some replay value by playing free play and mining, or replaying earlier missions, but that’s not all that interesting for long. Overall, great game. Just looking forward to new content!

Awesome game. Beautiful visuals, physics that are realistic without making maneuvering impossible, and generous rewards that make ranking up fairly accessible. Who could ask for more from a spaceship game?

Great so far. Alright, I’m already finding myself trying to use the same controls as GOF2’s ui in this game lol the similarities are astounding. What it needs though is definitely a free roam play style with the ability to go about missions at leisure. Trading as well as ways to fly to and dock at actual places in game such as your “home station” and other stations would be a great add on. I’m sure that more ships are already in the works because in my opinion there should be more diversity among them, such as being able to play the tank in a huge gunship/ warship. Fighters are fun and I prefer them but I’m sure other people would like to see those in game. One last thing, and this is a big one. While I found evading enemy ships in game with the boost slightly easy I would still like an evade movement mechanic of some sort added such as swiping the screen left to dodge left or right for the same. Other than that the ships movements and controls are wonderful. I hope all of this is taken into consideration and I can’t wait to see how far this game will go.

Frustrating to play on Apple TV. I like the game, but there are several things you can ONLY do on the iPad app, mostly relating to upgrades and changing preferences while using a MFI game controller. I emailed the developer but have had no response, hence the low rating. Playing on Apple TV, you cannot: 1) Upgrade anything but cargo space due to a bad implementation of what you are able to select before getting to the “Upgrade” button 2) Change controller setting, specifically decreasing the sensitivity of the joystick, which is necessary for playing with a controller. You can navigate to the slider but I have not found buttons that change the sensitivity.

Freelancer, eat your heart out. Freelancer was, for a VERY long time, my #1 space combat/open world game with an amazing storyline. I’m not far into this game and I’m in love. My favorite part? Putting in my AirPods and turning up the volume, the music in this game is every bit as impressive and enjoyable as the game play. 5/5.

Semi open space flight. When I first purchased this expectations are limited but after a few hours of time invested I have become one of my most favorite space Sims that I have definite recommendation told my friends I just have to come up with more updates more ships more zones better weapons

Great came but.... Plays great on my iPad Pro. However it is short on content I was hoping there would be more worlds we could download or have updated. I was able to finish the game in a few short hours.

Best of breed!. This is where GOF3 should be. This is as fast as you want it to be. Quick action and you can get some bucks just mining. UI is easy and graphics are great to get in to. Great job guys.

Just OK. Mechanically and visually this game isn’t too bad. The space combat is pretty good, although the virtual thumbstick seems to always be too slow or too fast. The graphics are quite nice, and it performs quite well on my iPad Air 2. Each mission is bite sized and only takes a few minutes to get through (which is actually a problem when mining). My biggest gripe with this game is it’s very shallow. The writing isn’t the best, the storyline is on rails and switches between a bit dull and confusing given limited dialogue, and the range of ships and weapons is incredibly limited. You buy a new ship every couple of levels, buy and upgrade the weapons that go with that level, and carry on exactly the same as the last gear set. There are no variations in strategy for weapon or ships types, and the bonus ships you have to discover and craft are obsolete by the time you get all the parts. I’m torn whether to like or dislike the separation of mining and combat. You either do one type of mission or the other, presumably to simplify the controls and UI (cargo space and shield health share the same bar, which is confusing to start with). Mining is frustrating because the missions are so short, so to get any meaningful amount of cash you are forever jumping in and out of the mining zone. To the reviewer comparing this to GoF3, they’re basically the same game with quite dull, bite sized missions that get repetitive very fast. Better to go play GoF2 again which was brilliant, even with the cheesy characters.

Decent. (Got for free) Looking for a quick no thought space dog fight thing? This is good. Simple, not mean on getting resources, ok combat, story that kind of works. If you like this, I highly suggest trying Galaxy on Fire 2. (Not 3) It’s free. If u have already, this may be a disappointment in comparison however.

Gold Standard. I've played this game from start to finish now, and loved every part of it. The rate of difficulty climb is spot on. The grind for cash and materials is not tedious. All good things. Highly recommend this fantastic game. Good job dev's.

Great game, better with a few tweaks. I agree with what others have said - this is what GOF3 should have been. No freemium crap, just a solid, pretty Looking space flight sim. That said, one thing it could really use is an option to steer via gyroscope instead of the on-screen d-pad, which I personally find annoying. With that added, it would be 5 stars for sure.

Great game!. Space sim with a little bit of everything. Dog fighting, mining and selling, a story quest line. Good graphics and sound as well. Can use a little tweaking here and there. Some more ships (ship types) and weapon types would also add mountains to this great game. Worth the money.

Very nicely done.. Ok, so no controller support... in a space shooter, really? I mean, Lucas Arts had it on Win95-PC, like what? back in 1995 ! But besides THAT, I got only one thing to say: in your faces FISHLABS !! GOF NO LONGER THE KING, long live the King ! Very nicely done graphs, smooth rendering, cool explosions, captivating story line (and side lines). Its been 3 years, so come on a little more effort guys, add controller support for the old-school-of-us out there. Please ?

Great 3D shooter. Glad to have found this gem. Great Apple TV app, but menu navigation with D-pad a little clunky. Works awesome on pad/phone and iCloud save slot works flawlessly. Keep up the great work! 😁

Promising alternative to GOF. Beautiful graphics and I like the fact that I can play offline and there's no constant in app purchases to continue to play. I haven't played the game enough so I'll update my review later but I will say this much, the controls terrible. The ships' maneuvering is difficult and it just becomes frustrating after a while. iPhone X’s Max - not optimized. A fun game but the screen size is not optimized. Hate having this huge screen but half of it is black! The sound is wonky too!! Sigh. Love blowing the stuff up tho!

Nice Replacement for G.O.F. 2. This game is a lot of fun, if you like Galaxy on Fire then this game is right up your alley. Graphics are good, the story isn’t bad at all. The best part is no ads or micro transactions.

Ipad pro controls and screen. Fun game and would be great if it could be created to use the full screen of my iPad Pro and if the controls were better. I don’t seem to have full control of my ship.

5 stars when I see following. No first person view? No strafe/barrel roll or basically no 6oF. We are in 2018 guys.. I’m playing your game, I see you TALENT! why are you giving up so easy with such basic game design. You could’ve been the new spiritual successor of freelancer w/ arcade type (casual) pick up and play crowd controls - if you wanted that crowd. I see the heart and soul placed into this game - but what a LOUD missed opportunity yells back in my face.

Finally. A great game without all the BS usually associated with this type game. Great graphics, controls, and audio. Awesome game!

Super Action. This game is great for all those who are into space dog fight. In free battle it’s like being in a star wars fight. It’s freaking awesome!

Best game ever. I find it hard to find good mobile games but this one is one of the best ones out there in my mind anyway it’s worth it trust me you don’t know me but just trust me

It’s worthy of a shot. This game definitely needs a lot of polishing to make it better. I’m not just talking graphics. The maneuverability of your ship is a little clunky. The most vital part is that I’m having fun.

Great action flyer. The game is good once you start to learn how to use it. Storyline is fine. Definitely worth the cost.

Nice GOF knock off but it could be the BEST!. Needs more ships, turrets on top or bottom of ships. More weapons and side missions like: protect cargo ships or be a taxi ship. Until then this will remain only a knock off.

The best. Hands down the best graphic iPhone game I've played. It has an interesting story mode and is addicting!!!! I can't put it down. I pray for updates soon and more galaxies!!

Strongly recommend it. This game is so awesome. It isn't Pay to win. The game is an open world sci-if kinda thing, and everything so far is pretty achievable just by completing the missions.

Better than GOF2. In my opinion yes, it does have similar aspects of GOF2 but something about it just feels it has this special element in this game that makes it more polished

Almost as good as GOF2. If you were as disappointing in GOF3 as I was, this is a pretty good alternative. It's not quite as good as GOF2, but with enough updates it might be.

Fun space shoot ‘em up.. I’ve had this for one day, and it’s really good so far. It’s awkward in the beginning, but once you get a handle on the ship controls it’s really good.

Poor Implementation of flight control. The controls to pilot the ship are poorly done, which really limits the overall experience. If they can improve the user interface for flight controls this game would be 4 stars.

Nice to see a developer that does not kill you with micro transactions. This is how games should be made, pay once and enjoy a great game.

Saw this, immediately thought of galaxy on fire 2, so I got it.. (Don’t confuse it with galaxy on fire 3... that’s trash) It’s not as open as GoF2, but is still fun nonetheless. If you like GoF2, then give this a try.

Solid game for GOF2 fans. Excellent game, graphics and interesting story. Only finished first mission set but already enjoying. It’s worth the purchase.
