Too much non-UAS Information. The material relevant to UAS and Part 107 exams is great. Definitely more in depth than most, however, the amount of aeronautical information relating to airplanes and airport operations is infuriating. Especially since the user can’t progress through the course and access areas without completing.

Passed with an 87. I had zero drone experience but was tasked with getting certified. I exclusively used this app. I did each module. I followed it completely through. I never got lower than a 77 on any module. I scored in the 90s on both stage checks. I did EVERY question and got an 87%. I then did a few days of practice tests never scoring lower than 90. I took my test and received an 87.

Great learning tool!. I’d been looking around for a good training/learning tool for Part 107 for a week or so, but kept finding sup-par materials. This app on the other hand is the real deal! Is it expensive? Honestly, no. You’re getting a fantastic resource that has had a TON of thought and love put into it. It’s worth every penny. Even when I had a problem their support answered back within an hour and got me back on my way! I’ve only just started, but already I’ve been learning and more importantly retaining, a ton of valuable information for the Part 107 test.

Great Way To Study!. Everything you need to know (and more) to get a 107 license is in this course. Customer support is fantastic - write them a question, they quickly write back an answer. I went back and forth with Ed numerous times about one particular thing I didn't understand, and he explained it several different ways, patiently and thoroughly. I passed the test with a 98%.

I passed. Went and took the exam today, the only source of information I used to study was this app. I have ZERO aviation background btw. If you’re interested in obtaining your part 107, this is definitely the way to go, fantastic app!

Helpful. I'm a new UAS owner. I've had a Mavic about two weeks. Last Tuesday afternoon I decided I wanted to get part 107 certified. I got this app and started going through the lessons. I did lessons in the morning, worked at my job all day Wednesday but went thru the lessons during breaks and on my lunch break. Had other obligations Wednesday evening. Worked on it some more Thursday morning. Called the nearest training center and they said I could take the test that Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm. Finished all but the last two lessons. Drove 110 miles to nearest test center. Got a 90%. It took about 90 minutes, including signing in, paying and testing, and I was home by 4:30pm. Submitted my IACRA application online on Saturday Morning. It's pending. I was not a pilot and haven't taken any tests in 15 to 20 years. No complaints here, though if I'd finished the last two sections I probably would have gotten a better score. Good app.

Passed with a 98%. I used several apps and websites. I read through the FAA’s PDF, but mostly I used this app. The questions on the app are challenging, but they prepare you for the test. When you miss a question, review, and take time to read the explanations.

Passed with a 98!. Brand new drone pilot. This app was suggested by someone else at my company who was also required to get licensed. I spent about 2 weeks using the app for an hour or two each day. A lot of the questions on the exam were similar to if not identical to the questions in this app. Highly recommended if you want a guided study format and don't want to spend a ton of time combing through the dozens of books the FAA has on their study list.

You will pay too much and get very little in return. I am a smart guy (I studied and passed my HAM radio license in a week and missed ZERO questions). I find the lack of explanations intolerable as they are too vague and don’t really help you improve. The material is not meant for a layperson. I find myself getting very frustrated every time I try to use the app. To be honest I am about ready to give up getting my part 107 because of this experience. I would love to be able to wipe out all progress in a section and start over but there appears to be no way to do that. A lot of the questions are NOT covered by the material you just went through. I can’t believe I wasted so much money on this app.

Review questions not related to section material. Multiple times this app has presented sample questions after a section and these questions are of material not covered in the section. In the early material on weather, for example, one of the review questions is about wind direction changes at a front line, but wind direction wasn’t covered. On another question not only did the specific question not get covered, but the explanation didn’t even include mention of the right answer. I get that there are a ton of sample questions and that’s great. But it’s hard to see how I’m benefitting from review questions when there is no material to review. On one page, different cloud formations are detailed in text, however they don’t match the terminology in the diagram. The text talks about cumulonimbus and cumulus clouds but the diagram has neither, but has Nimbostratus, altostratus and cirrostratus. It’s a very expensive course, and it feels like I’m just reading a handout put together quickly.

Awesome tool. Do not waste your time on more expensive ground schools. I used this app exclusively to educate myself for the test, and smoked it!!! For the cost of this program, you are practically stealing it!!!

Excellent Training. First off this is a cost effective and very informative training app. I was impressed at the ease of use and only went through it and a practice test one time before getting a 90% on my first try at the FAA Exam. I also want to include that I really respect that the developer of this app doesn’t put up with whiny reviews and when I read their response to a negative review that obviously showed the incompetence of the user and not the fault of the app or developer, they told the guy to knock it off. It’s refreshing to see someone with a little salt in their response. I immediately paid full price and downloaded the app because I want to support people that stand up for what’s right. I have also recommended this to several friends who will he getting it to study for their future business endeavors. Thanks guys!

Excellent. Excellent app beyond expectation. Well worth the money paid. I am or I feel assured I will pass the FAA UAS/UAV Pilot exam

Internal update won’t download. I bought this app a few months ago to casually study for the part 107 exam, but the app won’t download the internal update without crashing and prompting me again. I am accessing this on an iPhone 8 plus so I don’t think this should be happening. Please fix this! Other than that it is great app.

Great Part 107 Prep course. I recently took and passed the FAA Part 107 Exam using this course as my study material. I was able to review all of the pertinent material in the course and then took several practice exams to get ready. After a few exams I used the cool feature that showed me my weak areas and went back to review and made up an exams of all the questions on those categories. By a couple days before my exam I could routinely score 93-97 on the practice exams. When I took my test I got an 88. There were probably 10ish questions that were nothing like the practice tests, but the material was in their course. Same for the questions I missed, I was able to go back and find the answers to everyone of them in the study guide. I like that this was cheaper than an online or in person instructor led course, and with it on my iPhone and iPad I could review it anytime I wanted. Highly recommend this app if you’re planning on taking the UAG/107 exam.

Frustrating to use on iPhone. I can tell that these folks put a lot of time and energy into the app, but it’s cumbersome and frustrating to use on a cell phone screen. It’s a shame, really, cause it seems well designed otherwise. It’s great that they supply all of the supplemental figures with each question, but I found myself constantly scrolling up and down, and having to repeatedly open and close the supplemental diagrams to reread the questions and apply my knowledge toward choosing the right answer. This could easily be solved if the developer simply supplied the corresponding figure number from the “Airmen Knowledge Testing Supplement” than is easily purchased or downloadable as a stand alone PDF from many sources. Maybe this works more fluidly on an IPad, but I don’t own one.

False 7 Day Free Trial. They say they give you a 7 day free trial but they locked all the other sections than the first one I completed. Why? My guess is there is not even 7 days worth of content and if they did not lock the others you could complete them all in the free trial period and realize how easy it is to study with the free FAA Study Guide. 100 dollars is a steep price for an app that won’t even keep a basic promise of a free trial

Great way to prepare for the remote pilot exam. Being new to drone flying I was looking for a complete course, something that went beyond practicing answering questions. This is the only app that fit the bill, and while it is expensive as far as apps go, it is half the price of some of the other we. courses that are out there. I spent around 20 hours on the course and practicing questions, and ended up with a 95 on the exam, so I'd say it was a good deal!

WELL.....worth the price!!. Started studying using course by asa. Really good but reading the charts in the included testing supplement was driving me crazy (no fault of prepware). So, after much searching I found this and decided to risk the $$. Just a complete joy using this app !!!! I bought the app on 1/27/18 and passed my test with a90% on 2/21/18. Interesting thing is after using this app for a few days it became much easier to use the prepware course. Well thought out on study and working on any weak areas. I set up my study for the course to guide me through. Then I actually went back and read a couple of sections again. Again-money well spent! Thanks :) My son in law is thinking about using a drone in his job (inspection). If he decides to go there, this is the app I’m going to purchase for him. I hope you people keep it up to date. And are working on a study app for us when time to retake after 2 years. :)

I passed the drone exam with Ground School App.. I have to admit, it took 2 month to go through the material and take notes by hand to cement the information. I repeated several practice tests until I got 80% and above from memory. I also outsourced info I had trouble understanding but just to solidify and clarify. After grading a test and creating a new test from incorrect answers, that helped memorizing. My input: The ability to keep old questions as well as generate new questions. A concise breakdown of METAR reports with acronym definitions marked out. More METAR questions. More in depth understanding of Terrain Heights and what is included, such as towers, to understand the highest elevation in an area. Good Job in creating an app that has Math, Physics, Meteorology, Geography, and Aeronautical Regulations.

Unable to,reread section. Once you get to the final quiz, you aren’t able to go back and reread the weather section. You have to pass the quiz before you can reread it

Scored a 97 on the FAA 107 test!!!. Great learning tool that has everything you need to be successful. I spent roughly 2 days with it to polish what I learned during the previous month using the FAA study guide and various other videos on Youtube. This app goes even deeper and explains the fundamentals of weather, drone operations and safety. If you want to ace the 107, then this is your app!

Awesome learning App. I passed my FAA Part 107 on the first attempt with an 87. I learned so much info from this course. A person lead prep is very expensive. This app is just as effective as a person lead course and more affordable. I absolutely recommend their products.

Fantastic app. I used this app to study for the FAA Part 107 and couldn’t be happier. The material is exactly what is covered on the exam and the practice exams are similar to what you’ll get on the real thing. I came in with basically zero flight knowledge and I passed the exam with 90%. Can’t praise it enough

Effective & Relatively Inexpensive. I just passed the FAA Part 107 Exam today with a 92 primarily using this app for my training. It works if you follow the course. In fact, the last practice test I took in the app before taking the actual exam was scored with a 92 as well! At first I found the app’s teaching style frustrating because they give you progress test questions after teaching a couple of items in each section followed by a longer section review quiz. Those progress questions sometimes would ask about things they didn’t teach yet! As I went along I found that getting one of those wrong and then reading the explanations was an effective method of forcing you to remember important items. There’s a lot of information to ingest, and it takes at least 10 hours to get through the core of the learning materials. The app highlights your weak areas as you go, and I used that information to search for YouTube videos and articles covering those areas to help improve my understanding. The app also updates regularly so you’ll never feel like you’re getting out of date information in regards to what’s on the test.

I passed!. Passed the exam with a 95%. The questions in this app are nearly identical to the test.

Awesome Test Prep Guide. There are some $5 apps that are ok, but they have the same exact questions and answers. This was my main study guide that actually teaches you the concepts you need to pass the test....And it's constantly updated. I mainly used this to study and understand the airspace and weather charts. Took many quizzes on this app. Total study time was 1 week, took the test and passed. Most of the questions you see floating around the web were not on my test. Out of the 500+ questions I've seen online and even that 3DR sample test, mine only had 6 identical questions. Apparently the FAA is like Google and sees what questions are out there, and has justly modified the questions in order to make sure pilots understand that material. Long story Long... Lol, trying to memorize answers online only, will almost guarantee NOT passing. This app will teach you and you will pass the test of you go through the entire course

Good Prep and Responsive Developers. I prepped and passed the exam by using only this app for 15 days. Although I had a lot more chart-referenced questions on my exam than presented in the app’s practice exams, the app content prepared me well with no surprises on the real exam. My practice exam avg score was 90% and I scored an 87% on the AKT. I identified a corrupt question in the app and the developers responded the very next morning. An app update was issued about 24 hours later which resolved the issue. Excellent responsiveness!

Worked for Me. I use this app as my primary training tool for the FAA remote pilot exam. I chose this because I could study using my phone while commuting by train. I put in 15 hours and also used some free training resources on YouTube. I took the test this morning and got 88%. The test was actually much more difficult than I expected but with 2 hrs there was plenty of time to search out information in the handbook provided. I finished in 90 minutes. This is an expensive app but I'd well worth it and much less than expensive than other training courses.

It’s ok, not great. Half of the questions that are asked in this app by the time you get to them are not covered in the previous material you just go over. Also, when you miss a questions the explanations are not well written and most of the time are very hard to digest. A lot of acronyms are used without any explanation as to what they are unless you already have a working knowledge of weather. For $50, the explanations should have been written in far better laymen’s terms to be understandable. Also, in the very beginning before even purchasing this application I sent a question to the developer of the app and specifically mentioned “ground school” and Ed sent me an email back saying he didn’t know what application I was referring to. I replied that they only have one application that they have developed that has the words ground school in it and asked if he was going to answer my question. I never received a reply. Shame on me for going ahead and purchasing the app especially after being brushed off by their “support”. Look for another app unless you already have a working knowledge of weather and flight terminology.

Good deal, easy to follow along. I passed 93%. The app is easy to follow along and by quizzing you frequently you learn from your mistakes. After 3 weeks I completed all sections and completed the tests. The app gave me 94% avg. exam score. I passed the official test at 93%.

I passed. If you are new to flying or experienced like I was I suggest using this app. All the questions I was faced with during the computer test for the UAS licence were related in ways to the simulated exam provided in this application. My final score was 82 and all you need is 70. This is definitely worth the money if you want questions highly related to the questions on the test. If you have aeronautical knowledge already just practice on the simulated exam until you are getting nothing but 80% or more nonstop and you should have all the knowledge you need for a passing grade. I will warn you that the real test does have common sense questions that aren't listed in this app's simulated exams so make sure you have that, this app, and the will to practice every night and you will get a UAS licence fast.

Was good. I paid $30 for this app in may of 2017, great app, good knowledge, however, when I relaunched to brush up before my exam everything was locked out and I couldn’t do anything, there was a bug that even after updating wouldn’t let me past selecting working at my own pace or guided learning. I am frustrated because my test is a week away!!

Update.. Whole everything has crashed. In my previous review I was basically called a liar because the app worked for others. And in my review I even admitted it was just not for me the way it was structured. Then told I was offered a return...where? I applied through the Apple app...and was told no refunds when I applied for one did not receive an email or an auto refund. Now with the new update the app (while in my incredibly short amount of free time) now doesn’t work or recognizing my account. Sorry. Even after all that happened prior. I really wanted to give this app a fair shake. Got through weather because you can’t skip around. And now everything appears to be gone. I’m extremely happy for the pilots that used this program and was able gain knowledge. For half the cost of taking the test I expected more.

Best app out there for the 107 exam. Being a little nervous about failing the 108 exam I bought this app and another online course that was $149. This app is a third of the price and far more comprehensive and much easier to use. The lessons are easy to digest and structured for raw beginners. I scored a 94 on the exam, and while I was hoping for higher I'm not great at taking exams. Highly recommended!

Probably good for many, just not for me. I want to pursue an FAA Part 107 cert for small UAS, and this seemed like it would be a good study tool. For me personally, however, things went off the rails before I even started. First a disclaimer: learning is a personal process, not one-size-fits-all. From what little I saw (only 6 pages!), the content seemed like it was presented fairly well. The developer, Ed, seemed courteous and responded very quickly. So all that is good: this rating is based mainly on how the app didn’t fit my learning style. I downloaded the app and content, and although it was a bad time and place to start studying, I was at least excited to take a quick peek at the material. I started flipping through the first few pages just to browse (I would begin in earnest at a better time). The content I did see was concise, curated and decently presented (I majored in geography years ago, and that included dedicated courses on meteorology), but I was a bit frustrated that some of the units bounced between metric and English (in one paragraph altitude was in thousands of feet, the next in kilometers). I aimlessly swiped to the sixth page, which happened to contain the first review question. With my iPad flat on the table, my dangling pinky inadvertently tapped one of the answers. I was not starting the course yet, and didn’t mean to tap anything, but there it was: a glaring red wrong answer. 0% correct. I looked for a way to undo, restart, reset review answers—anything!—and could not find a way. I contacted the developer, and they said that every tapped review answer is permanent, stored on their server, and that there was no way for me to restart the course. They also said that, unless my touchscreen was defective, it was not possible to register an inadvertent tap, as the app only registers “deliberate taps”. This seemed disingenuous or condescending, because I’ve had dangling fingers inadvertently tap things in many apps on multiple devices for years). So back to my point about everyone having different learning needs? I already knew the right answer to that question from college. But there it was, bright red and permanently wrong on my “record”, a single accidental tap with no way to change it—and all I did was preview the first six pages without even having sat down to start the course for real. This would probably not bother most people. They would just move on. Not me. Permanently wrong on an answer I knew. I fixate on things like this, and it distracts me from learning. The developer said I cannot reset the questions or restart because then I could share the course with other people (not sure how, as it is linked to my Apple ID, unless they were borrowing my own iPad), but that I could still review the entire course any time. I asked the difference between “taking” the course and “reviewing” the course, and their answer was that all content is there except that the review questions are already answered (so technically I *could* give someone my iPad and they could walk through the entire course, reading the correct review answers instead of tapping them—not that I would do this, anyway). So I am requesting a refund. I will work through the free FAA study guides instead. This app may be perfect for you, but I accidentally got off on the wrong foot, and the app and developer simply were not accommodating to my personal learning needs.

Passed Part 107—95%. Really enjoyed the app, prepared me well for the exam. I studied my butt off but the app made it so easy for me to retain & fully understand all the information. There were a few what the questions on the test, but if you prepare well odds are you will do well. Thanks for the great app and helping me pass the test with flying colors!

Great training for the drone exam. I passed the remote pilot exam on the first try using this app, having zero prior experience with drone flying or FAA regulations. The app is very easy to use. Basically there is a lesson module and a test prep module to get you ready for the FAA test. The lessons are grouped by topic, and interspersed with the lessons are FAA type questions (some of which were identical to the questions on the exam). By the time I finished the course I saw every question a few times, and was scoring in the high 80s on the practice exams. A few days later I was in the 90s, and I scored a 97 on the actual exam. The entire course and test prep took me around 20 hours, and the course itself was the bulk of that. The cost of this app may seem a little high, but there is a ton of content and it did a great job getting me ready for the exam. I highly recommend this app!

Great help. I’m entirely new to drones, I haven’t used any other study helps before this app. The app has been great for me as an entry level learner! There are a few things I wish they would talk more about (specifically; I wish there was more material to help me understand the weather chapters.) but considering the frequent updates to the app, they are clearly on top of making this app the best part 107 knowledge test prep app and I’m sure more is to come! I feel that I’ll be ready to take the test after having finished this course! Thanks guys! *UPDATE* I passed with a 92%!!! Thank you!

Great App With Some Very Minor Flaws. Updated to 5. Developer is right some of the issues were out of their control. I found this app to be very useful. I found a few typos and issues with colors on charts not being consistent but overall felt this is a good product. The support team is quick to reply and address concerns.

Will help you pass the test.. I went through the lessons, completed the knowledge checks, and took the practice exam 7 times the day before taking the exam. Averaged an 87% on the practice exams and got a 90% on the . It will help cover the basic knowledge requirements, but I recommend spending some time with physical charts and learning how to read them!

Almost great. This app is almost great because it’s thorough, comprehensive and allows you to study and take the test exams. The really bad part is that you’re only allowed to study and take these test questions ONLY once. Once you complete the study and exams you cannot go back and through the materials and take the pop up quizzes and exams anymore. It does have some mini questions but no more full exams. This I gave it three stars for that reason alone. You’d have to buy the App again. I feel one you buy a product you should be able to use it forever like a book.

Used only this app & scored 95% first try. I have no flight background, and this is the only study method I used. I used the app’s built-in lesson timer, completed all initial course requirements, and “graduated” from the initial course. Went through all the questions a few more times until I had mastered them, and had scored a cumulative average of 98% the night before my Part 107 exam, pulled up by straight 100% exams at the end. Sat for the real deal Part 107 and got 57 correct out of 60 (95%) on my first try. Highly recommended. (The material at first is pretty boring (not the app’s or developer’s fault), so keep grinding through and you’ll succeed if you work through the app’s “graduation.”) Test was only $96 at PSI, so including this app, the entire certification process was under $200.

I passed first try !!!!!. Using only this app ,highly recommended
