Easy. I use this app all the time as a scanner for important docs and even some that aren’t so important because it’s so easy to use. It’s better than just taking a picture because I’m able to name the file so I can just search for it later. Originally I was I little frustrated that it wasn’t so easy to move the file into specific folders for later reference, but I’ve found that you don’t need to add long as you come up with a good naming convention and just search. The docs are all stored on the cloud too so you can easily get to them from your PC. Update: Been using this for about five years now and it’s still an indispensable tool. Had a couple of times where my naming convention broke down, but it was easy to fix.

The best. This is the best scanning app out there. It will auto scan each page for you but you can still edit each corner of the page manually. And because the brilliant when you pick a corner to edit it zooms into that corner in a little bubble outside of where your son is so that you can actually see what it is you’re doing. You can edit each page by caller you can erase certain portions of it you can draw on the pages you can email a link of the PDF to someone you can email an actual PDF to someone. You can export the PDF as JPEG files. There’s nothing that this app can’t do. You can re-order the pages if you scanned them in the wrong order. You can come back to the same file later and add pages and edited at any time. If there’s a better app out there then I have not seen it because I don’t think it exists. I am a teacher and this has saved me countless hours.

no-nonsense, and handy (:. I never write reviews but as I was closing this app after using it for the millionth time, I figured it’s the least I could do for a free app that’s saved me a lot of time and effort! I’m a broke 20-something lol so I used to have to go out of my way to the local library anytime I wanted to scan something. (annoying) 🙄 This app is free, so if you need a quick scan/pdf converter, it’s a great app for that! (: Just take a picture, crop the borders, and you can choose a way to send the pdf to yourself. I think you can pay for some extra services too. They’re not pushy about it which is nice, but I believe there is extra stuff if you need it!

Adobe rocks!. This app really saved me big time! I’m impressed with how easy it is to use.. I was in a hurry so I didn’t even look to see if it has a tutorial! I am the process of trying to get my son enrolled in school where there is serious competition.. so little things like an unreadable, blurry or cut off document can mean you lose your spot.. this happened to me and if I hadn’t found this appt Adobe so that I could quickly scan and upload the content...it was a legal sized document, so trying to take a picture was almost impossible! I have an iPhone 6, it took about 3 minutes to download and open , and another two for me to figure it out and get both pages flawless and emailed out to the school! 5 minutes!!!! M so thankful as we would have lost our place of I’d had to go out and find somewhere to help. So thank adobe!!!

Best Scanning App I’ve ever used!. I’m so glad I found this app! Great for scanning my documents and other work! Before I was using CamScanner, but I was annoyed at how CamScanner would always put a watermark unless you pay and the ads were troublesome as well. So I stopped using that and tried out PhotoScan by google i believe. Got sick of that one too because customization is so limited. However I’m very pleased with AdobeScan because it’s not only so easy to use, but the scans are of great quality, plus no watermark for free, and it’s easy to upload my scans to other places like Drive or whatever. Scans look as if I had done them with an actual scanner and not my phone! Recommend !

actual scanning is great but bugs remain. I couldn’t get any scans to save when I first installed this despite closing the app, reauthing—all sorts of stuff. Now, weeks later, it works fine. Maybe it needed a phone restart? Who knows. The other major bug is that it appears to not have a notion of folder hierarchy in Google Drive beyond one level. Hard to say if this is Adobe’s fault or Apple’s, because Drive integration appears to only be available via the iOS “share” menu. It’d be nice to have new docs sent to a preferred cloud provider automatically rather than just Adobe’s—the share workflow is clunky—but perhaps this is best filed under “don’t hate the player, hate the game”. Otherwise this app does a nice job of border detection, OCRing and sane defaults for leveling colors etc. No watermarks in the free edition! And the upsells seem to be for other adobe apps, not for features. In this respect it compares favorably to CamScanner (though the capture process is perhaps a bit slower).

Adobe Scan review. Too soon to tell. The program keeps shutting down while scanning. I don’t yet know if the OCR function works, nor have I had time to figure out how to turn off auto scan. I’ll have a better idea once I’ve had a chance to use this app for more than 10 min or have just scanned only 5 pages. I would have waited to comment except an annoying pop-up showed up on the screen asking me to review the app right in the middle of when I was trying to save a pdf, so if my document wasn’t saved, I’ll feel even more annoyed than I was with this app only 10 mins ago. If I may make a suggestion it would be to please wait a little while longer to ask for a review and figure out a way to do it during a moment when there isn’t any scanning saving activity going on. Most people don’t want to stop and review an app when they’re in the middle of using it, especially apps that replace often used office machinery and tasky work like activities. Thx.

Shocked and Awed!!!! Excellent tool!. Incredibly handy, effective, and helpful. Take a moment how to learn how to use this app/software, and you won’t be disappointed. I’m not even super techy and it wasn’t hard to operate. I really could go on and on, but give it a try and you’ll definitely see yourself, especially if you’re a regular desktop to PC scanner. Ahhhhhmazing! If you don’t have access to a desktop scanner, or can’t get yours up and running, or on the go and can’t get to one and need to scan something, this is hands down one handy app. For personal or business use, it’s going to deliver. With this app on the go, you could literally work from the tailgate of your truck if you had to. It’s actually so cool and easy, it makes you want to scan stuff that you’d normally not, or put off. If you can hold your tablet or phone steady for pictures, then you can scan with this. Not to mention all the extra tools and features. As always, through the decades of use, Adobe continues to deliver and stay up on top of the technology game.

Simple and Does the Job for Free. I have used several PDF file conversion tools. I have used the native one in Apple notes. I have also used the native one in Microsoft OneDrive cloud services, because they also allow you to scan multiple pages without stopping, amongst others, including Microsoft Lens and others. I do not know why I have passed on downloading this one before, but I did. So I didn’t think I need to download this, but I was bored and I did. And I’m very happy. My grandmother is 88, and she just had to go to a nursing home, and I am having to scan all of her documents, insurance cards and you name it. And thank goodness I downloaded this application because it gets it right on the first time. It’s free, and ad free, and I’m very grateful that I downloaded it and thankful to the programmers at Adobe for making it free, and simple enough to handle (what would otherwise be kind of considered as “big jobs”) what most people would ever need. Verdict — simple, free, user friendly, and requires no jumping through hoops, etc. works for me! Thank you Adobe.

Perfect alternative to a big machine!. After spending money on an “all-in-one” printer/scanner; ran into issues with setting up the account for wireless scanning to the cloud. I discovered this app when desperately searching for an alternative with a deadline quickly approaching (surely there was “an app for that”). I discovered this app while playing around in Adobe’s Creative Cloud. What a HUGE lifesaver it was! It is literally as simple as “point & click!” Multi-page documents can be captured by snapping pictures of each page and then saving the document when you’re all finished. To be clear, you are not taking “photos” of the documents. Photos tend to be unclear when printed and/or resized. This app takes digital scans of the documents. I absolutely love having it (plus it’s native on my phone, so I can capture important documents when I’m away from home).

Love this app!. Being a business person on the go, I’m not always near a copier or printer to be able to scan documents. This app has been life saving. I also try to upload everything into cloud based storage systems and drives for clients so the ability to take a picture, have it converted into a .pdf for less storage space is a Godsend. I now use it daily and love how I cannot only upload to where I want it to go but I can also email and text the docs immediately. Quality is as good as the camera on your phone. It will pick up colors although the letting the app choose the parameters of what you want on the document can be frustrating if there are lines that separate sections. But that is very minor and can be fixed by just moving the phone closer or farther away. I even have other colleagues using this app now because of the convenience.

Edge-finding and focussing (spelling intentional) capability less than perfect. I chose to ignore Adobe’s prompting that I upgrade to AdobeScan from the scanning feature included with the Adobe PDF app for a while, because when I’d tried it, it had “grabbed” the document it was supposed to scan as if on some sort of fast-forward setting and estimated the location of the document’s edges incorrectly. It also didn’t take enough time to get a properly-focussed (spelling intentional) image. I’d realized that I needed to figure out how to perform the scan manually, in order to get it precise enough, or find another scanning app. During a later attempt, I was relieved when I was prompted to disable the psychotic-seeming autoscan setting — imagine a coworker coming to your desk and frantically dishevelling a neat pile of paper documents sitting on it while you watch — which I’d never chosen to activate to begin with. With that setting shut off, however, the app still doesn’t “find” the document’s edges as precisely as I’d like. It gives you the option of adjusting its placement of them yourself; however, I preferred the scanning feature of the Adobe PDF app to this separate, supposedly-superior Adobe Scan app.

Incredibly fast, easy, and intuitive. I’ll be honest. I like supporting small businesses. I have paid for every other scanner app on the App Store that I know of. I didn’t think I asked for much. I just wanted something that could create multi page document scans quickly and easy from loose sheets of business-size paper while I am working. It didn’t even have to be fast. They all seemed to have minor seeming quirks that ended up slowing down workflow tremendously. The thing about adobe scan is that it simply does everything right, the first time, out of the box, it doesn’t require me to scout around on the web looking for tutorials. If you could imagine everything you know about the Photoshop user interface, just throw it away. This is the opposite: The most intuitive app I’ve run across in years. I don’t really know what the catch is. I don’t know why I’m not paying upfront for it. I think maybe I might be an Adobe customer already. I don’t know. All I know is, I would pay a lot for this app every year and will not hesitate to do so if they start hitting me up for money. It’s that good.

GREAT APP!. I normally don’t write reviews for apps for this app is so good that I had to! This is definitely one of the best apps for school! I homeschool so I lose a lot of my work or I had something in that I end up needing but with this app I have al of my work right in my phone. At first I thought it would be the same as taking a photo in your camera app then putting it into an album but it’s totally different. You just take a picture and the app finds the border of the paper that your taking a picture of. So now you have just the paper and nothing in the background. You can also put photos in to albums. I also love that it keeps the photos in the app and doesn't add the pictures to your camera roll. I have not complaints about this app and I definitely recommend it!

Best Scanning App on the App Store!. I’ve used a few different document scanning apps, and this one is by far the best. The Auto-color works to perfection. No matter how bad the lighting and shadows, it automatically cleans up the scan and makes the background a pure white. The clean up feature allows me to easily remove unwanted marks on the paper and further clean up my document. One of my favorite features in this app is the page size tool, which allows me to set all the pages to a specific size, such as US letter (8.5” x 11”). No more scans with slightly varying page sizes, shadows, and bad lighting. This app is so far beyond the competition, it’s not even funny.

High Image Quality and Easy to Use. Apple Notes’ scanning function is nearly as good but Adobe seemed to produce slightly clearer documents when zoomed in (may be completely negligible and may increase file size) and seemed to more consistently automatically capture page borders such that I found it rare to need to adjust. One drawback for me is that all documents are automatically uploaded to Adobe’s cloud. I didn’t test any other features being that I have simply been wanted to scan black and white documents as efficiently as possible with sufficiently high quality. I have also used JotNot, which has enhancing functions that seem to work well but there is some scan limit with the free version of the app and the high quality of Apple Notes’ and Adobe Scan seems to make those more advanced functions unnecessary for my purposes.

Ughh what a pain. I have used Adobe Acrobat to scan and send documents with no issues until I had to download and install Adobe Scan. You have to set up an account to use the app; once you begin using the app it will take the picture before you have time to situate or align the document the way you are satisfied. It also stores your documents in a different ‘Local’ than Adobe Acrobat even though you opened Adobe Acrobat to make the scan. If you try to open a document created with Adobe Scan in Adobe Acrobat it gives you an error then shows it is in the cloud. Maybe it me learning a new app but don’t make me download something new when the other was working for me.

Great for anyone who wants to get paper to digital with as all Adobe tools.. The software is free, more intricate than it may seem, easy to use, and is backed by the comittment of Adobe, Inc. Product continues to improve, and combined with Acrobat or other Adobe iPad Pro apps, just about as good for someone who preserves, categorizes, presents, and shares documents after easy editing and repesoitory in the Creative or Document clouds. In the end, its user choice, with some good alternatives, but this has long term potential and integration is important for ease of use and quality control. I always return to Adobe Scan after trying everything else new. The developers I believe, will maintain their pride in applying knowledge from so many areas within Adobe, that it will become a “Professional” Standard in not too long. Enjoy watching techology change at an accelerating pace. We are envisioning capabilities as though they will come to fuition in a year, but what we can only imagine now, is already very likely a reaity in the making all around us. Thanks Adobe. DDoherty

Privacy problems.. I tried to submit a privacy question. After I had already successfully logged into my Adobe account , I had to correctly solve a captcha,Provide my email address and name again, probably verify my address, submit my question and then solve a second captcha correctly. Asked: I am wondering about your privacy policy as a relates to documents scanned with Adobe Scan - your iOS mobile pdf scanning app. I’ve been looking through your policies to try and find a clear statement that you’re not going to look at or share of my scanned documents unless required by law. And that that applies whether I’m in the US or UK at the time. can you make such a statement? Can you please make it easier to find if you’ve made such a statement? And refer me too it/them? I have opted out of the machine learning part but that doesn’t address my question really. Also it’s pretty low to make it so hard to submit questions like this! I’m already logged in and I have to give you all my information all over again and validate my email address? Do you think that’s respectful? I’m trying to decide between using your product and camscanner or neither. and when you reply please include this question in your reply. OK? And can you answer the same questions for Adobe acrobat reader PDF maker iOS app?I hope they respond and I’ll update this if they do!

The free part does more or less what it says. Do you think that you will be able to import a pdf (scanned) and turn it in to a pdf with searchable text? No. (Or if so it’s not at all clear how to import anything except a photo from your photo library). Do you think that you will be able to extract a text file from your scan? No. But if you can you are pretty clever. What you can do is take pictures of your document, import them in to Adobe Scan, reorder the pages and save the combined pages as an Adobe pdf with searchable text. You can export the pdf file as a pdf and e-mail it. It does that pretty well and deserves a good rating for that. What about the subscription? It is very expensive and Adobe doesn’t really say what you will get. You have to pay to find out or perhaps you will need to do a lot of web based research. One of their blog posts talks about the beauty of the free service and its unlimited usability. Frankly some of us don’t have the time or need to use it with no restriction. We would rather have more functionality with volume limits. I would be willing to pay some amount ($2 mo) for no more than 50 pages per month. But that is my use case.

Adobe Scan is a Winner!. This is one of my favorite apps I use to save any document or receipt I want to have on hand and available to refer to in the future. I have tried several different scanning apps and Adobe Scan is by far the best scanning app available. My documents, receipts, photos, etc. come out perfect every time! Adobe really goes above and beyond when it comes to making their apps user friendly while also providing as many options as possible for the customer’s convenience. This is why this app is my “go to” when I need to scan in snd preserve a document, receipt, etc. I am never disappointed with the final product. Thank you for taking the time to think of the customer and going that extra mile when developing the apps you have available on the market so far. I will continue to look for Adobe products first for all of my project needs!

Make sure you use the filters. AdobeScan is my go-to app if I need multiple images into a pdf, which is often the case for my school submissions. I think the default scan filter can be a bit finicky depending on how dark you write, but you can go into the filters and change it back to the original color and then it’s perfect. Pros: -Can scan directly through the app, or upload photos you already took/images you already have. -Very concise cropping of images, not just sliding of sides horizontally or vertically but also changing corners of where you crop for accuracy -Auto crop feature is pretty good for doing it automatically/quickly even if it isn’t perfect -Multiple scan settings. I think it has one for open books among others. I haven’t checked that out in full detail though. Cons: -Default scanner is picky about how dark you write -I haven’t found a default setting to use the original color every time, so I’ve had to change filters manually every time. It’s a bit annoying, but not a dealbreaker for me. -I have shaky hands and it requires a still photo, which can sometimes be an issue depending on how bad my tremor is that day. I would appreciate something like the “live photo” setting on Apple that shows the best image over a small timeframe. Overall AdobeScan is the most universal scanner across file types while also being not too basic or complicated. Despite the cons, it’s the best scanner I’ve found hence the 5/5 rating. Hope this review is helpful

A very useful app !. Up front, I’m giving this app four stars only because the scan process is not as streamlined as I would like it to be (the scan can be a little frustrating when it does not get the entire page). OTHER THAN THAT. This is a useful technology that is highly efficient in creating PDF documents that used to take one scan per page on a slow printer. So I’m very happy that I found this app and I do highly recommend it. I used this app with a 12 page medical document today, I am really happy that I didn’t have to scan twelve pages; one by one on a traditional scanner. It cut my documentation time down by about twenty minutes !. I got this done in 10 minutes with the app!. Adobe could improve on the apps process of “hover” technology in which sometimes the app takes a photo too soon and results in a cut off doc photo. After a few delete / re shoot - I got it done.

Bloated with bugs and self-promotion. The app gets buggier and buggier with every update. I'm staring to wonder if Adobe software engineers put anymore work into this or they just update it constantly. There are barely any newer features than the version 6 months ago, but the app is crowded with ads and promotions. First it resets my setting of "sending usage data", I had this toggled off, and it's automatically switched on again after the update. The settings menu is plastered with ads to subscribe to Adobe services. I can no longer tap the top of the screen to jump back to the top. Scrolling between pages while editing a pdf is buggy, laggy and broken like never before. I can no longer select images from specific albums when choosing the photos option. That's all within 5 minutes of use after updating the app. I don't see any reason to give this app more than a 1 star, every feature or functionality is worse than any version has been in the past.

It’s half an App, Pay $10/month for features. Document detection is excellent. OCR is kept on Adobe’s private cloud. You cannot move your PDF, even to your iPhone. You CAN move a photo representation in jpg format to your phone, but then you won’t have the OCR text. I scanned in several business documents. Then I wanted to get the OCR text on one of them. Nope. Can’t do it with Adobe Scan. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader for that. Even then, you can’t download a copy of the PDF to share with someone. You can only get a link to Adobe Cloud. Adobe Scan does a good job of scanning, but provides no capability for getting your OCR text. You must download another 250MB App and if you want a copy of the PDF, you must pay $10/month. And if you need more storage, no prob, you can buy that too.

Camera roll upload auto crop. I’ve seen numerous complaints online that have not been fixed. They ask for an option to stop the autocrop for all pages. You see this as a problem with scanning and you rightly fixed it by allowing to turn off auto crop when you’re scanning a document with the camera. THE PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IS WHEN YOU ARE MAKING A PDF WITH PICTURES ALREADY ON YOUR CAMERA ROLL…. My case specifically: My current online classes do not allow me to save the lecture slides as a PDF. I solve this problem by saving each individual slide as a photo on my camera roll on my iPad. Then after I’ve selected all my photos it gives me a review of each of the slides individually and they’re all cropped out of wack. And for each individual slide, some being more than 200 pages long, I have to click the crop button and then click on crop and then click save so it saves that one slide. There is no way I’m doing that for 200 slides. PLEASE FIX THIS. I have seen complaints on your website that date back to 2019. This is pathetic in my eyes concerning your customer support department…

A few bugs but overall a game changer.. I’ve been using the app for years and a while ago it deleted all the cloud files I had. It was a huge loss but luckily even if the scans were gone the images were still auto saved to another folder in my images app. It’s annoying to have to recrop each photo and adjust the light settings all over again but it’s not as big of a loss as I initially thought. It’s a fantastic scanner and as for allowing an easy transition from traditional art to digital it’s allowed me to bridge the gap between two worlds that were before entirely separate. Now instead of taking hours to trace on top of photos for illustrator files I can make a couple task sketches and scan the best, then clean up in PS and use the image trace function to create vector shapes. It has small bugs in terms of storage but it might also have to do with me switching Adobe plans or the email I had connected to the account. It’s overall fantastic and has completely changed how I approach my workflow in a very positive way with just a few minor hiccups. I highly recommend it under the condition that you immediately save every new scan and original image external to acrobat as a precaution. Otherwise it’s amazing to no longer need a bulky scanner.

Very user friendly and convenient: for documents and old photos. The adobos scan app is easy for me to use. I do documents for medical bill claims, and then email them to myself straight from my phone so I can have them on my laptop. Way easier than using the scanner on our printer. Also, I used this app to scan old photos to make into a calendar. Pretty good quality - just had to remove filter to get the likeness of the photos from the 80’s and 90’s. The app selects what it thinks is the proper crop, then you can adjust it to whatever size you want. Once I saved as a PDF, I could then save to my phone as a JPEG- which I used for making a calender using the Shutterfly app on my phone. Everything all available in my phone!

No more half finished notebooks and scraps of paper!. I journal a lot, and make plans and lists for what I want to do with my life. Unfortunately I do this with any spare notebook or piece of paper and so then I have a hard time throwing things away because they feel like important documentation of major turning points in my life. I like rediscovering them to see how far I’ve come, but they left my place cluttered. I’ve never had such an easy practical way of securely archiving all these various scraps. The pics with my phone are shockingly clear and the apt makes it easy to control the edges and make multi-page documents so it’s easy for me to make collections of writings and pictures. Reading my hand-written scrawl in odd form is actually easy and enjoyable. Thank you for making it easy to de clutter while still hanging on to every memory!

Document size. Works great with a two exceptions: 1. When cropping/setting corners, I can set the crop corner perfectly but as soon as I release my finger the corner shifts and I have to redo it. It takes several attempts to get it where I want it. iPhone 8. It’s almost like I need a stylus to use this app. 2. There’s no option for setting the finished document size. So I can “scan” multiple pages of an 8.5”x11” document and crop nearly perfectly, but each page will end up different sizes entirely (often times much smaller than Letter size). This is frustrating when printing. The best print from PDF setting is Actual Size (Fit to Page is garbage), but if anyone prints actual size the document will print much smaller than original size and each page will be a different size. Basically, the result is an unprofessional PDF.

An Indispensable App!. This is one of my most used apps after email and social media. I never have to worry about saving / sharing documents, no matter where I got them from. Now bank documents, important letters, recipes - you name it - are just a few clicks away from being digitally preserved and easily stored or shared. For a free app, this is very feature-rich, well polished, and easy to use. I can easily scan documents using my camera, or simply import pictures that I’ve already saved or received from others. The app can automatically straighten and crop the finished pages, and I can fine tune to get the cleanest image possible. Documents are saved in my Adobe cloud account, and I can easily attach copies to email or text messages, or save to my own permanent storage. There is no archiving app out there that can beat this scanner, and the price (free) is just right.

Reliable & Simple for Students. During the pandemic, Adobe Scanner has been my lifeline for online learning! I’ve used it to send in test answers (the small file makes it easier to submit than images), submit pages and pages of lab reports in one file, and submit it in a way that’s easy for my teachers to access. There are basic editing functions that are easy to understand once you’ve captured your documents like rotating, cropping (in a more abstract way if needed rather than just a square), and coloring. It’s always reliable, I think I’ve only had one issue where something didn’t submit through Canvas, but that was my fault for not double checking and also probably was a Canvas or user error. In addition to school, I use Adobe Scanner to store recipes on my phone in a way that doesn’t take up my storage as much as images! I highly recommend this app for any students online learning toolkit, period.

I’m Impressed!. I had to scan and send a copy of my lease to a company within two days of downloading this app and surprisingly, it worked perfectly! Quick, intuitive, and straightforward. Most importantly, the final version of the scanned document looked legit, as if scanned with a large, high-end machine. Very, very impressed, as I was concerned the final PDF would look wonky or have skewed alignment. Not the case at all. My only feedback for improvement would be for Adobe to combine this app with the main Adobe app as well as with the Fill & Sign App. Storage on my phone isn’t an issue but having one app that does three major tasks would be the most ideal scenario. Either way, this app works well for what it advertises. I hope the quality is maintained. For now and after using it with excellent results, 5-stars.

Love it! It’s simple, easy to use, it’s free!. I absolutely love this app! It’s a hidden gem you only get to find every so often. It’s one of those things you hope not too many people discover ,so you can continue the benefits of it’s simplicity and ease of usage. There are no “ads” nothing to “purchase “ with a few clicks you can scan, clean up and email documents to a variety of places ie email, text etc. Nothing comes between you and “getting your documents sent with precision” People will think “you have a personal assistant!” I have all my clients, coworkers use it! It’s a game changer for sure! Don’t take my word, Download it and see for yourself!!!

Excellent for scanning and sending documents on a tight schedule. From having used this app for a little while now, I have found it helpful and convenient for scanning and sending documents on the go. The app is very easy to use, and allows you to send files through most apps that one would need to access pdf files through (ex: gmail, google drive, yahoo mail, Evernote, and so forth). I really appreciate how it allows me to save the pdf files within the app, so that I can access them at anytime. Thus far, I have had no problems emailing the pdf files through my gmail app, and saving them to google drive. The app scans very well, allowing the documents to come out clear, bright, and easy to read. I have also found that it works well with faxing apps, allowing me to be able to fax documents on the go with ease. Highly recommend for those who are working, college students, and anyone who does not have time to scan and send documents via a printer. You will not be disappointed!

Adobe Scan. The Adobe Scan app is pretty basic in terms of features. I downloaded and installed it as an easy way to manage all of the business cards I come across in my travels. I rate the app two stars because if you have a number of business cards you want to store, when you open the app and select business cards, then proceed with capturing the numerous biz cards you might have, the app stores them all in one continuous stream automatically or all in one document (pdf), rather than store each biz card as its own document (pdf). To do it any other way, you have to snap each card and manually convert it to a document or pdf. Each snap of the camera should assume -especially with biz cards, that it’s two sides or pages maximum and do the conversion at the end of the second side or page rather than the default be a continuous document.

Should’ve Tried Adobe First. This app functions with the quality & ease I’ve come to expect from Adobe. If it starts automatically snapping runaway shots click on the icon just to left of the photo icon circle to stop it. Everything is simple & straight-forward. As far as I can tell, the app is free whereas others charge fees for the same functionality. The card feature is a breeze for biz cards & others to eliminate clutter in my virtual & physical wallets. The book format is a useful feature for long pages as well as books. Adobe also offers a premium app which probably enables edits & even more features ~ I haven’t tried that one. The standard Adobe Scan w/ features provides a way to separately save & organize scans in PDF or JPG with document quality & compression, instead of mixing them all together as photos. Glad I finally downloaded this Adobe app, should’ve done it sooner instead of wasting time trying others!

Simple and brilliant. I had just about given up trying to find a “free” scanner that would actually work and was actually free. I had tried so many others that would fail in one way or another. One was so fussy about recording an image that it was almost impossible to make a scan. It kept telling me to move closer even though the page already filled the screen; then it told me to hold still, and refused to take the picture. Another managed to make an image but then refused to let me do anything with it until I “upgraded to pro.” Finally, I discovered the Adobe scanner. What a difference! Producing a clear image was fast and easy. I made a series of scans of the first page, and found that I could leaf through them quickly, deleting all but the best. Then sending off the resulting scan by email was a snap. This app kills the competition; it isn’t even close.

Adobe knows how to do it right. Adobe Scan is by far the best mobile scanning app I’ve ever tried. Downloading and having this app on your phone essentially negates the need for you to own a traditional scanner in my opinion. The first time I tried the Adobe Scan app, I was genuinely astonished with how well the papers I scanned turned out. I’ve tried so many other “scanner” apps listed in the App Store, but every one has either been completely, or came with a catch that outweighed the apps value in my opinion, so when I found Adobe Scan, I was stoked! I definitely recommend at least trying Adobe Scan out. Now, of course if you need a higher than normal scanner for higher resolution, sharper scans, then of course an app isn’t going to be of help, but for a normal, everyday person—Adobe Scan is perfect, and believe it or not, but it’s actually pretty surprisingly handy to have a scanner in your pocket at all times too!

Invaluable Tool. I am not one to write reviews, and this is only the second or third I’ve ever written for an app. I would give PDF Scan 10 stars, if I could give that to it. I am currently in my hometown in Hawai’i, taking care of my ailing father. There have been innumerable documents that I’ve had to send back-and-forth: to my workplace, to his physician, to our local Department of Human Services office, the financial services department of our local hospital…and I had no access to a scanner or fax. Instead, I downloaded this app and scanned all the documents in with my phone. It’s all so easy. The fact that the app is FREE (I hope it continues to be!) is even more appreciated and amazing. Don’t hesitate to download and use this app. It has been my go-to for all my documents in this trying time.

Another Indispensable PDF App. I love working in PDF. A huge part of my workflow is done in PDF format. For a long time, I stubbornly refused to buy a scanning app because I believed the quality wouldn’t match the quality of PDF from a desktop scanner - contempt prior to investigation. This app scans box top serial numbers, product keys, email, etc., from your camera into PDF. They’ve built in some very smart processing that converts your photos into high quality, readable PDF. I was wrong about the lack of quality vs desktop scanners. While it’s true that not 100% of my Adobe Scan files are “desktop scanner” quality, I have a very high standard for readable documentation and I’m impressed with the quality of the PDF generated by Adobe Scan and the app’s versatility. There’s very cool function that allows Adobe Scan to find potential PDF from your photo collection, (eg receipts, serial numbers, etc.). Nice! I know the serious privacy people won’t like that. I respect that. I like that time saving feature tho. I’m very satisfied with Adobe Scan. If you’re a power PDF user - you know who you are - you’ll be happy with this app.

The Best!. Hands-down, the best scanner app there is. Even better than having a flatbed scanner! I say this, because I have used both. This app comes with several robust editing options. For example, after you snap the a picture of what you want scan, the first thing it will do is ask you to clarify the border. That alone with how good the app is, and that feature it would deserve five stars. But adobe does more. It also has several editing features for a PDF. Much the same as a free photo editing app has. For years, I have used top notch free, and a paid-for photo editing program. And this Adobe scanner app is on par with any of them. Adobe products are outstanding.

Really great app. This app is making my life much easier. When I need to scan at school with a ‘real’ scanner, I usually have to walk down the hall, and if something is bound or stapled I have to lay down each page, and it gets confused on the size, etc, so when I walk back down to my desk I see it screwed up, the density is all wrong, etc. With this app, I can take pictures of each document at my desk quickly and crop to the size I like (which doesn’t have to be 8.5 x 11... although I wonder if there is a way to force the aspect/ratio if needed; I’ll have to look into that!). It is super easy, and then I can either email it to myself or go to the document cloud online. You can rename the files in the app too, something you can’t do easily on a giant scanner! I love it.

Amazing AND Free?!?!. I hate writing reviews, but when I get an app that is free and does exactly what I was expecting (with no ads btw), I feel compelled to write a good review since they aren’t making any money off from me. It was simple, easy to use, and had more features than I was expecting. It allows seamlessly easy photo taking of any document/business card/etc., and allows you to crop it how you would like it, or has an auto feature that works wonders. I messed up on some paperwork I needed to fill out, so I tried for an hour to find a scanner that would allow me to upload the image into a pdf file, and allow me to ‘clean’ up the document so I could refill out properly. It did exactly that with no stinking ads constantly popping up, and without any pop-ups that ask you to do a free trial or to sign up for $X money. I’m very impressed by the simplicity this app gives me, and hope this review helps others looking for the same thing I was about an hour ago, lol.

High performance, great user experience. This is the best scanning software I’ve used thus far. Previously, I used Jot Not Pro and Evernote. First of all, image quality is superb. Second, the auto-cropping works perfectly even in low lighting and non-contrasting backgrounds, which is what you encounter in real-world use. Third, the user experience is excellent. I can easily add and rearrange pages; I can easily share a copy by all the usual means. Fourth, 99% of the time, I want my scans to be in PDF format, and this being an Adobe app, this happens seamlessly—no more using “print to PDF” here! Tip: upon app set-up, when asked to choose editing mode, select the second option, which allows you to edit after you’ve scanned all a document’s pages. Don’t enable/accept the first option, which allows you to edit/crop each page as you scan. The app works so well, you don’t need to adjust the document cropping as you go along.

Apps like this make up for the fact tech is leading to the downfall of humanity. There are two types of technology in the world. That which makes you wonder how much longer humans have before we ruin our society and world beyond repair, and it’s counterpart which makes you wonder how life went on without it. This program falls in the latter category. It is an amazing app that is super easy to use and produces professional quality scans. A little tip to save you some time: trust the auto crop on the first go around and edit as needed once you review your documents. During that review stage you have the original picture to work with so if you need to un-crop you can. This program literally makes expensive scanners and copiers obsolete for the home. Thank you Adobe, I can tell your engineers have put their heart and soul into this and continue to refine it.

Office on the Run, in the Car, in Court or Anywhere!. I work outside my physical office many days of the week and find this has been an awesome tool that I can use anywhere to document transactions, take pictures of signed documents, checks that I write, letters that I receive, or simply anything at all that I want to document for later records or proof of events. I can photograph flat objects like documents, any kind of paper, even 3-D items I want to remember. I can photograph people and/or places and just click the button and I have a PDF record of the transaction, the person(s), the place where something happened or even a scenic shot.i can access the PDF documents from the cloud wherever I am, and using Adobe Professional Version add text, images, diagrams, notes or even other images and then easily distribute by email to friends, family or colleagues. Makes the job of documenting business or pleasure a breeze! I highly recommend it for anyone who works in the field, out of the office, or from a home office.

Adobe equals AWESOME. All things adobe apps are “top shelf” compared to every other PDF/DOC editor, Hands down!! It’s inexpensive, easy to use, and surprisingly useful in ways I didn’t think were included...let alone So affordable! Even the free versions go a long way, most people don’t even need to pay the small fee if it’s just the basics want. I just hope they find adobe first before downloading various other apps with a wide range in random subscription costs before it’s too late. I’ll probably never switch now after all that time paying for poopy apps, it’s not a fun experience Thank you! You’ve made one person very happy. That’s always a ting plus

Use of Adobe. I have only been able to use Adobe for a few days but I have found it to be extremely useful and I love how fast it helps me with information about a photo when I only have to ask Adobe to give me the information about that photo. I can tell when I get more familiar with using Adobe it will benefit me more and more. Thank you! Kristy Keller I really don’t know how to use the Adobe to my advantage. I’m afraid of loosing valuable information. Like making sure I am able to get organized and remember where i put it. I need to Adobe scan my passport, drivers license, social security, Birth certificate, Notary, voters registration, concealed weapons permit, organ donation, power of attorney and keep them in an organized way. That’s because I’m not good with being a secretary. I know this is going to make my life so much easer when I get it. My health records and dated how awesome. Thanks Kristy Keller

Super Awesome!. The Adobe Scan app was one of the best mobile app scanners that also included its own cloud storage, without having to also fill your photos with pics as well. NOW IT IS DEFINITELY THE BEST MOBILE APP SCANNER!!! And when you use the trio, which includes Adobe PDF Reader and Adobe Fill and Sign, YOU ARE READY TO LITERALLY EXECUTE ANY FUNCTION OF BUSINESS AS IF YOU WERE ACTUALLY SITTING IN YOUR OFFICE AT HOME OR WORK.(when you can be sitting on a beach or even at a ballgame!) I love the new features Adobe Scan has added to truly your scanned document, and all while still remaining a free app. Of course, you can upgrade Adobe PDF reader and it has some key perks to the upgrade, BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TOO! The Adobe apps are great. Subsequently, the Adobe line-up has played a key role regarding my entrepreneurial “wins” and work/life balance.

Adobe scan. I like how it seems as though the scanner has been improved as before it would continue to take scans even when you didn’t want it to. It know has the continue button instead of randomly doing it automatically. Thank you very much.

Edmund So. You can always trust Adobe products The Adobe Cloud Documents application is exceptionally easy to use from the mobile phone plus you can access scanned documents anywhere because it is cloud base

Excellent Scanning App for Smartphones. Great app, easy to use, excellent quality scans made just by pointing your smartphone camera lens at the page. Love the options of being able to delete individual pages from a scan and retake them. Also being able to reorder pages into the correct order/sequence is very handy.

Recommend it to all. This is the only scanning app I use due to it’s simple user interface and ability to access those files on the go. Anytime someone laments their scanning experiences or requirements I suggest this app, going so far as to give an on the spot demo of how fast and easy it is to use. Sadly budget doesn’t allow for better access but I cannot fault the access they give for free. I hope to be in a better position to fully support this app in the future but for now, I’ll just keep spreading the word.

An awesome product. Scanning is a pain, I’ve worked in IT for 30+ years and getting scanners to work is without a doubt the worst part. Scanner have two interfaces in windows and doesn’t come with an app that’s good, and never have. With this application it couldn’t be easier. You point it at the document, it captures the image, works out where the edges are and straightens the image. All of this is done quicker than you can turn over the next page. Then you just click ‘Continue’ and the next page is added. It is so simple and I will recommend it to anyone that ever scans. Throw your scanner out and use this application. I have not looked at what else the app can do. But scanning and adding it to a pdf and sending or storing couldn’t be easier. Five gold stars ⭐️ Arvid

PDF document scanner. It’s the first time I have used this app and so far I have found it useful and helpful ...I learnt to scan documents and create them as PDF ‘S.. I will need to find the scanned documents in adobe cloud.. I’m about to note each of my documents (names)labels so I can see the document I need when I need it, rather than searching through or around for the info.. great app so far thumbs up...👍🏼👍🏼

Adobe Scan Application. I have spent a great deal of time searching for a convenient scan application and finally found Adobe Scan it works wonderfully well and helps me keep things in order and safe. Being on a defence pension I find it out of my scope to purchase a full version; however I will make do with what I have. I am extremely happy about it.

Excellent!!. It’s really cool. Some times it doesn’t recognise whole paper if the paper is white and background is also white or light colour. So put the paper on a bit dark background and the rest is like magic! I also connected it to my Dropbox so easy to save documents. Also very easy to transfer those to OneNote or email to people. Definitely recommended...

Indispensable productivity app. I had my reservations when I downloaded this app, but those reservations have since been dispelled. We are a paperless environment at work relying on PDFs making up each file. This app makes capturing all written notes to be uploaded really simple. I'd recommend it!

Wish I knew about this app earlier. Adobe Scan is amazing, already I can see how similar it is to scanning drawings in a sketchbook. However it saves an incredible amount of time as rather than scanning each individual page, only a picture on your phone, is necessary, then imported into this app automatically optimises the scan and leaves you with a crisp very admirable outcome able to be transferred into a digital program such as photoshop minus unwanted imperfections!

Once again a Adobe Crush it. Adobe scan is hands down the best mobile PDF tool on the market. I love the seamless integration of other media and scan documents into single PDF file, coupled with the freedom to share via file link uploaded to creative cloud or attach complete file to email. One tip if you are my generation deselect auto capture it can get away from you ;) but if you are generation “but dad if you just” auto capture is right up your ally, my resident IT expert 13 blew my hair back laying out 10 pages scanning and compiling in less than a minute. Sure you can download and assemble a plethora of apps to do the same thing in 50 steps that this app does in 2 or 3 and lets face it always is so much sweeter and cleaner from the source. My Adobe subscription is one of the most sound investments I have made a few bucks a month and I am covered laptop, tablet or mobile. The ease with which I can create, edit, draft, collaborate and share with quality consistency and stability across multiple Adobe software and app platforms is exceptional value for money. Cheers DM

The app is amazing. But it’s impossible since the last two updates to attach files to emails unless you go through an re-save to phone, it use to come up saying recently scanned and be up to date but now it’s not.

Quick and easy for handwritten forms. This app has solved a very long time problem for me. I am finally able to quickly and easily fill out and directly upload multi-page handwritten PDF forms to employers and websites without any convoluted 3rd party apps. Loving it!!

Great App. Another excellent Adobe app. I just got out of hospital after 2 major surgeries over 4 weeks and after arriving home I received documents including Medicare forms and bills that at first overwhelmed me. Being in pain with 4 sections of stitches I can’t travel yet, that’s when I tried Adobe Scan. So easy to use, copy, and send emails with signed documents. Thank you Adobe..

Fantastic but wish you could save to files by default. This is so user friendly, great adjustment ability too, I love it. I wish I could set a preference for all scans to save to an allocated iCloud Drive files location (or Dropbox location) by default though. I love the new save to device that allows me to select a iCloud Drive location for each scan, would be handy if I could set this permanently or set a permanent one and have an automatic popup that says “save to usual location / new location” for any I may want to save elsewhere.

Easy to use- great quality. It’s as if I put my docs on a scanner they are such good quality! Very easy to use. Open the app, point your camera at the doc you want scanned and it finds the edges itself. Really intuitive! Also easy to save and share. Has option to delete the snaps you didn’t like and save the remaining parts as a bundled PDF document. Even better? If you want to email it you can do it from the app- it opens a new email with the PDF already attached. It was recommended to me and I would recommend it to everyone!

Adobe scan app. After some repositioning of the iPad to get all the page in frame, so as not to get faded black lines and delete the snaps that shown too much angular misalignment l finally settled on some that will do. Unless one has an overhead tripod to steady the camera point and with an exact A4 frame capture, then free handing has to be the room to improve choice for an amateur such as myself etc &c.

Would Recommend!!. scans perfectly for school projects, doctor paperwork. Everything! but I think to some extent it’s dependent on the quality of the camera… which is external from Adobes control. Anyways I would 100% recommend, my dad and mum both use it and so does my brother at University. It’s just a really helpful tool - so thanks to whoever made it 😊

Impressive. A brilliant App, thank you so much 🙂 I am fully impressed by the ingenuity that aligns with this product. I admire the brilliance and the features of Adobe Scan. A true option for someone wanting to capture true images of documents. Including reference material, instruction manuals and many other types of written and typed text documents . With the added bonus of OCR (optical character recognition. Looking forward... THANK YOU 😇

Nice app, but.... This app is great and all, love the idea of auto capture where it finds the borders but the main reason i downloaded it was for the OCR. I read on the app description that you have pdf to text but was kinda disappointed when i couldn’t just copy the text from the document. I have noticed you can search for specific words but i spent ten minutes looking for a way to copy the entire text but didn’t seem to find an option for that. Again, its a great app but i would really like to see the extra feature mentioned added, you guys already have the OCR why not just finish it with a nice copy paste feature? Thanks😊

What a great app. This ‘Scan’ app by Adobe is one of my devices most useful. I have only recently discovered it and like most Adobe applications/products, it is clever, convenient and user/friendly particularly for scanning documents on the run. It’s brilliant! The apps intelligent sensing of the outline of the document that is being scanned is particularly impressive!

Thank you. I am a University student and I don’t have a scanner. I need scanner frequently. I scan my documents from uni or from my friends scanner. But some times i really don’t have this options. But since i download this app my scanning problems resolved. This app is so easy to use and scan documents perfectly and saved documents as pdf. The best thing about this app is that i can send my documents to others emails. This way i can also excess the documents from my emails when i need to print the documents. This app is amazing. Thank you for developing this app.

Better than photo. To email a PDF you need to check that it is not just a link as even though you think you are exporting a copy, it is really just a link and cannot be assessed by the recipient (unless you emailing it to yourself). So you need to export as PDF

Starting to get problems. This app was great until about a week ago. I like it because I can clean up smudges etc before uploading to cloud, but recently this feature hasn’t been great. The file looks fine when I finish cleaning but then I go to save it and there are white patches as if the eraser has either cleared a larger area than it was showing as I did it or like the eraser has been dragged across randomly. It means that portions of text are getting obscured and it’s no annoying because I have to revert back to original to start again- which means any other changes (I.e cropping etc) are also lost. It has wasted so much time re-doing it. Please look into fixing this ASAP as the clean-up is my main reason for choosing this app!

Seems good but.... Have used it a couple of times and had to capture image on one receipt manually. The automatic scan function seems to have a problem capturing long receipts. Also I have two email addresses operating from my phone and it chooses one by default. I would like the option of which email address the scanned image is sent from. Apart from that very convenient and great way of dealing with receipts and not having to store paper documents.

Nothing like this..you have to download and try even if you use other packages,. I have tried various scanning software including Microsoft office lens and this gives you all the features and flexibility for what you want to do, and much better than any paid softwares. I believe there has been a lot of work and ingenuity in creating this package for people like me. I also use the acrobat reader on my iPad to sign docs and save them on google drive when I see my clients. All For Free!

Very frustrating. This app infuriates me more often than not. When it works well, it's great... but it rarely works well. I constantly have issues uploading documents, the app constantly makes copies of each scan that I do manage to upload (which forces me to have to manually delete the double, triple or quadruple copies) or it completely locks my scans and says that they've been modified outside of the app and can therefore no longer be accessed which requires me to have to redo my handwritten paperwork to try again. I pay for this service out of my own pocket. It's neccessary for my line of work. It makes me wonder why I bother spending a cent when I can't even access the documents that I NEED access to whenever required. Any requests for help that I put in are either ignored or I'm basically told to fix it myself. I'm ready to find another app and just start keeping hard copies of all the files I uploaded using this app. It's an absolute crock. I started using this app purely because I was frustrated with CamScanner but their issues were nowhere near as bad as this one. I think I'm about to go back. If you're reading this review and wondering whether or not to get the app, learn from me and DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Adobe Scan App. Fantastic for people like me who have only work tools- a phone and a laptop. It’s easy to transfer scanned documents from phone to laptop. Great for documents handed out in meetings - it’s so convenient to be able to say no thanks to the hard copy documents and quickly take copies instead.

Love it. Very easy to use and manage, only not be able to use my signature from scan to documents as I using free subscription. Rest the quality and creating scan documents is super simple.

So good, I’ve made the effort to write this review. I can’t normally be bothered to write reviews for apps. But in the last few weeks I’ve had many documents to fill out and send back to various parties by email. My printer doesn’t have a scanner and some organisations (I won’t name the bank) will not accept photos of my documents. So I have started using this app. It quickly finds the edge of each page and takes a clean image without including the background surface. When all pages are scanned, it’s easy to save and email a pdf. Jolly good.

Amazing. I tried cam scanner and it took so long to recognize the document and also keep the label of the app in your pdf so I wasn’t able to use them anymore, but with this app I found superb fast focus on the document and take the scan in record time with high quality! Congrats

Good but feature request. I just wish I could pull back on the super harsh default contrast settings. I end up going back to the original image because it is easier to read than the processed options, but what I really want is something in between. I just need a slider to specify how much I want the image adjustment applied.

Great function on mobile. This is a great service provided by apple and adobe. It has provided much better experience of scanning than the actual Samsung scanner we have at home. The service is smooth transitioned from iPhone photos to a PDF format. I have all I wanted done within five seconds! Highly recommended!

Best app on my phone.. The adobe scan app is brilliant!! It has become possibly the most valuable tool on my phone, for school, work and personal life! To have the ability to produce a PDF anywhere and anytime, to then be able to email it to yourself and others is invaluable!! It has saved me on so many occasions. A proper must have.

Amazing! Life changing. No more worrying about getting to a printer just to scan a document, snap a quick photo and you have access to it from your phone and can easily share it with text, email or any other way just like you would a photo! It’s so simple and easy to use! Will come in handy for students and teachers as you can just snap a photo of templates or text books, it turns it into a PDF of all the photos you snapped so you can categorise it and have it all at your finger tips in not time! Life changing app!

App stop working 🚨. Hi Team I don’t know how to contact you i didn’t find any help ! Can you please find out how to fix app it’s not opening, shutting down unexpectedly would you please resolve this issue asap I have heaps saved Docs in there Looking forward …thanks Kind Regards,

SO handy. I love this app - without a photocopier, this was my only way to scan documents and print them. I can save docs as PDFs and turn them into forms, great for creating student worksheets, keeping work samples and you’re able to rotate, add or delete pages, and change between colour and b&w... Love it!

Actually Fantastic. This app is amazing. I have tried many scanner/PDF apps and they were all terrible. This app wouldn’t even have to be that good to be better than the rest, but it is phenomenally better. I wish I could rate it more than 5 stars

Adobe on the Move. As I am constantly on the road the ability to pdf documents and then upload them to the Cloud is invaluable. Just need to find a away to delete the documents on mass when uploaded would move it to 5 star for me.

Superior performance and scanning technology. One of the highest quality scanners available for researchers and students. Convenient to scan multiple pages to one document as well as post scanning edit functions. On the downside arranging documents into folders can be fiddly. So far it is best to open in a web browser rather than the app to perform this chore. I assume the paid version can solve this issue. It is also easy to lose documents. There is no back up, so be careful. Somehow I accidentally deleted contents of my document but an empty file still exists. Still no idea how this happened. There is no ability to retrieve earlier versions (unlike other software).

Love this app. Very good app for scanning documents. I use it to scan all my school documents and passports and you can even take a photo of a paper and then scan the photo later. It’s very easy to use, you can crop your photos to refine them. 10/10 would recommend.

Unable to Scan - Keeps saying an Error has occurred - what happened?. I have used Adobe Scan on my Ipad for many, many years, and have always found it an extremely useful app, and have even helped others to download and access it. I have not had any issues before, however, when I have tried to use it over the past couple of days to scan a couple of documents it starts okay - saying it is looking for the document, then freezes, goes black, and says an unexpected error has occured. Is this due to your update 3 weeks ago? Due to the holiday period I probably last used it just before that. Is there some way I can correct the error? Are others experiencing similar issues? Is there a fix coming? I hope it is possible to resolve this - as I said this is a very useful app I use frequently. Please help 28/1 Thank you for your response - I will give a try. .... 28/1 Yay!! That seems to have worked👍🏻👏🏻 Thankyou for your help. 😊

So so good. So surprised at the quality and ease of this app! I thought it would allow you to scan in documents but need payment to be able to send them but it’s a seamless completely free and easy app. Haven’t reviewed an app in my 7 years with apple but this one, surprised by the quality and couldn’t recommend it more!

Best scanning app on iOS. Highly recommended. Extremely handy for scanning pages, especially as we don’t have a scanner at home. Integration with iOS seems good as it’s easy to find scans and attach them via iOS Mail app. We’ve used it tons of times to scan and email documents, as well as converting other formats such as photos. Have tried other apps - one competing app required an expensive subscription before it would convert photos to PDF, another did convert for free but the file was 5x the size of the Adobe one and couldn’t find it when trying to attach to email. Hard to believe this app is free!

Adobe Scan. This is a must have app for all smart phone and tablet users. Hassle free and no need to search for a printer with this app when you need to scan and save important documents. Perfect at meetings, when signing contracts and any time you need a record of a document. Easy to use, and to share any documents at any time.

Fantastic Application. Adobe are probably the best produces of picture editing software. I have used PS Express, Adobe Sketch, PS Fix and now I have just started using Adobe Scan. This latest program makes it so easy to scan any document with a smart phone, and with only two steps your can convert the file to PDF and save or send the file, as required. The best thing about Adobe’s Software is it’s excellent layout and ease of use. 5 stars for sure.

Interface misleading. I originally gave this a 1 star rating believing adobe was doing their usual ‘everything for a subscription’ creating a photo to PDF app that did not export PDFs but instead forced one to use their online services or purchase a subscription I was wrong it is able to save pdf via sharing. So 3 stars for somewhat misleading interface and also scans were wonky. If one were really paying $16/mnth I would want it to crop documents in a manner that corrects mild perspective distortion automatically.

Great App. I have been using this app for over a year now. It is so easy to scan single, multiple pages into one document. Save to files and attach to emails. This app is wonderful and I rave about it to anyone that needs to do scanning. Thanks so much!

The best. The best of the best! When you scan the doc you gets the lightest KB size with higher resolution on your file, easily can attach to your email, with the majority of others your files become very large file (20MB) on very sample documents and you won’t able to attach to your send email. Go go for Adobe! Thanks

Mostly great. Have been using this for a while now but something seems to have changed. Now when exporting to Dropbox it’s also adding a text file (against my will) which says “ Created and shared using Adobe Scan. Get the app…” How do I turn this off?

Feedback for improvements that will boost your Ratings. Thanks for doing such a good job with all my docs! The only couple of things that are a bit of an irritation is not getting the shot square with the image, and the scanner camera tends snap a photo when I am either not holding my phone quite where it needs above the image, or I’ve turned it slightly and now the border is slanted Also, the camera doesn’t appear to have any controls and gives the user no warning or notice on when the photo is going to being taken. The instant it reads that it’s aligned with the doc, it snaps a photo. Many times, you will see an image “Cockeyed” or leaking left-right on a downward slope. To correct this common error, One can crop it, but you are unable to swivel it. This leads To a seesaw of wasted time and energy when it still doesn’t look quite right - even after a dozen attempts. The feature is available in Pages so why not on this camera? This feature is critical and much needed to save time, eliminate inaccuracies in the positioning of the image on the page, and avoid having to manually align borders and images by changing the slopes of the border lines and the angles at each corner. The other thing that would make it better is the ability to “nudge” the swivel of any image in tiny increments to get the page position parallel with image if it happens to veer off kilter. . It’s a lovely little concept that is often used-in the music industry to get the rhythm and melody perfectly aligned and on time with each other during recording. Only in this app we work with an image instead of a track. Thanks everyone for making an such an outstanding suite of apps otherwise! A very good start 🤩. Keep up the good work!

Great and User Friendly Interface. It’s straightforward and easy app. Just click and make a PDF file in secs.

Excellent. Meilleure application de numérisation que j'ai utilisée et elle est gratuite!

easy to use. super efficient

Lost files. I have pictures I’ve taken in my adobe scan. I don’t often use this app but I was taken aback because my files are now gone. I don’t have any back ups because after I scan I print it out immediately and just leave it in my app thinking it will stay there. Can someone help me with my concern , please? Thank you!

Great software. As a small business owner and financial planner, Adobe is such a convenience and time saver! Highly recommend paying for it. It is so worth it. Doug

Très bien. Pratique

good app. extremely useful app. adobe!

Andrii. Amazing functionality for free-absolutely recommend. PDF scan, merge, crop and lots of other functions

Works!. Works as expected and convenient.

Satisfaite. Super application

Absolutely their own product. Cumbersome to work with outside of the adobe world. Scanning then trying to save or email is a bit of work. Certainly not intuitive or simple unless I guess you have worked for years in adobe products.

Lightweight App. If you want to scan your family bills and receipts, I am sure that this app will give you everything you need. But if you are scanning your personal journals, books, or files with multiple pages, you will be frustrated by the crashing, the freezing, and the hours of work lost by a single attempt to crop a single page. I have submitted dozens and dozens of error reports. But no one seems to care. I tried to run this app off of an iPhone 8 plus.

Adobe Scan is… try it yourself. Works. Easy. Optional free account with online storage and sharing scans.

Grant. Works great easy to use and great quality

Vers of May20 borked. 8-10 seconds to scan. SLOWWWW. Old version worked snappily and efficiently, finding the white paper against a black Matt surface (good tip for all phone scanners) and I could burn through big stacks of tasks in a short time. New version: which MORON made this update? We went from under 5 seconds a scan to 8-10 seconds a scan! Application takes its sweet time figuring out “ohhh we have some paper here lemme see... uhh... I’ll just piss around putting some blue circles on the corners. Jiggle them around slowly for a while, and then finally, after a few more seconds....8,9,10 SNAP!” Unbelievable. 100% free scan apps are better than this hot garbage. And before you ask devs, this is on an iPhone 6, and don’t give me that “older phone” bullshiff, plenty other devs make scanner apps that work faster and better than yours on even my older iPhone C and 5s! Then again a company as big as Adobe, who could never get flash player right, is it all that surprising they can totally mess up a perfectly well functioning application by fiddling with it? Reminds me of Microsoft. They can never leave things alone.

Création PDF. Super facile d’utilisation !

Excellent scan and produce!!. I was looking for a quick scanner that I could use with the phone and this product is amazing! Makes things so simple and does an excellent job I’ll give it five stars all the way!

Randomly shuts down and loses scans. It’s happened so many times to me by now…I’ll be in the middle of editing the scans and the app just shuts down and when I reopen it, it’ll lose any progress I’ve made with editing. It’s extremely frustrating, please fix this nonsense

AdobeScan is great. Works very reliably. Scans are very clear and legible. Easy saving and sending simplifies paper part of work life

Amazing. This Adobe app should be on everyone's iPhone or iPad. Say goodbye to that finicky flat bed platen scanner.

Confused App. I have used this app so many times, it is a great app, no complaints there, but it sucks that for some reason, it cannot seem to remember my login, and I have to sign in every single time using it, which is a big pain. If there was someway that they could fix this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Amazing product from adobe. It’s easy to use and free. Love yet another product from adobe

Adobe Scan. Adobe is the best scanning app I have ever used safe and convenient.

Valuable program to have.. Important convenient app to have.

Nice app. One of the best scan app so far

Adobe Scan is amazing. I enjoy using this app because it allows me to scan various document types, save them all in one place, and send them later to anyone as images or pdf files, which is very helpful. And is free!!!

So simple to use.. This is an excellent application for keeping records such as receipts for taxes! I don’t like it… I love it!

Adobe Scan. I like using this app when I need it

Amazing app. This app works very well (easy to scan multiple pages into a single PDF doc by simply using your camera....and the pictures come out very clear....and the auto-recognition of page perimeter makes it extremely quick and mindless to use)

Love it!. I am a Realtor and this is a great app! I can get documents signed on the fly!!

Experiencing. Best app ever

As advertised. Exactly as advertised. Very nice

Scan. WoW super application !!

PDF Scanner. Great on the go PDF scanner.

First time use. Wow first time use so easy and perfect copy. Actually better than the original lol

HANDY. Very useful, underrated

Best Scanner. Unmatched features & Quality.

Annoyingly STUPID. What a complete waste of time and effort. You MUST save to cloud. You MUST share all apps activity with Adobe. You can not just scan and send the scanned document. You MUST upload to their cloud. You then can only assign others to view, edit. What a completely stupid app. Just use your included iPhone note pad, click camera, click scan document and done. You can then send via text, email or save. Too easy. This Adobe process is a complete waste of time and effort.

Beef dip and Yacht club. John and staff doing an excellent job. Thancks for bringing back the beef dip. Dave and Nadine

They claim it’s a bug. The annoying auto text that fills for advertising makes the app highly useable except for the odd time. Anyone that wishes to use this daily has to delete the text. They claim it’s a bug but your most basic code could change this in 5 minutes…. It’s intentional… another adobe product gone to crap. The “bug” has lingered for months through multiple updates. Most companies have moved away from adobe and I see why

Good Stuff. Easy to make PDFs.

Not free. You can’t scan for free. It automatically uploads each scan to the cloud, but then tells you that you reached your cloud upload limit and that you should upgrade. The problem is that every feature requires a connection to the upload file but since you can’t upload for free, this app this unusable unless you pay 14$/month for its premium features. Will be downloading another app.

Why do I need an account?. Oh look, yet another app that forces you to give away your personal info for seemingly no good reason.

Pretty useful. Good for the home works

Fantastic Software. Works as advertised, scans come out clear

Lost half my documents out if nowhere. They say they have your data on the cloud but thats clearly not the case. Half of my most recent documents have vanished. Im devastated and never trusting this app again. Will never recommend to anyone

Très bon. Programme excellent, seulement quatre étoiles car je n’ai pas eu la chance d’essayer tous les fonctions.(laisse mois nouvelles si possible photo en différentes formations de sauvegarde ex.:gif.

Expensive. Expensive

Too Notch!. This is the easiest way to turn paper into electrons. Nobody sets documents up better for professional editing, archiving, and sharing than Adobe! This app has glitched out on me once or twice; but it restarted without any problems both times. Nothing beats this app for use out in the field. Combined with another app, solo cator, this Adobe app will allow you to document evidence, take photos, add/upload photos, and gather immediately presentable information with great detail. PDF format are an easy way to send documents via email & with the proper settings you can get most files down to under 10Mb

The best work from home scanner!. Been working from home since mid-March and this app has been a lifesaver. It’s unbelievable how many scanning options it has for zero dollars. I’ve used the regular document scan and forms scan and both work so great. The forms scan is so cool. My 86 yo boss thinks I’m a wizard that i can scan fillable forms with my phone and then be able to have someone else fill them out! Working at a university in research, we still receive a lot of paper invoices and being able to scan them in such high quality with this app is amazing. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

Another solid Adobe product. As a former IT and DP guy, I've had loads of experience, from the early 90's till now, with Adobe products. These days, happily enjoying early retirement, I'm only a basic user but from my deep well of experience and more current use of this product (and other Adobe handheld device oriented apps), I can say that this is 100% a top notch product. Everything works seemlessly, from doc capture to editing to reediting to sending, the process is almost stupid simple! And she doesn't skimp on features. Even for a basic user I can access much of whatever I need to. As a premium user, I have no doubt that this app would easily crush any competitors offerings and, more importantly, deliver the most professional quality your demanding.

Incredible quality scans, free to use, faster than using my printer/scanner. See above. No but honestly, this is one of those apps that I use only a few times a year but when I use it I always think, “that was SO easy.” Many adobe products are cost money to use even for the occasional user or require expensive upgrades in order to get full functionality. This app it’s not the case. Quickly snaps multi page document into PDF then let’s you clean them up, reorganize and edit your scans using intuitive tools to make it look as good or better than what you get from a traditional scanner machine. I never leave reviews for apps, ever. This app deserves it.

Used to be great app then they ruined it. For years I relied on Adobe Scan to help me stay paperless. Easy to build multi page PDF and store on my Google Drive. A recent UI and functionality change made the app super annoying to use. Now when you scan something it doesn’t show up right away in your list of scanned docs. You have to force close the app, sometimes 2-3x or wait 1-2 min just to see a simple 1-2 page scanned document. Once you can see it then you can save to Gdrive, mail it, etc. They also made it harder to locate it even if you know it should be there. They change the UI file icon to giant blocks wasting limited smartphone screen space. Tried troubleshooting and changing preferences around to no avail. BAD design now and nearly unusable! Taking pictures is easier than their new app. Used to be the other way around. Will fall on deaf ears no doubt. No longer a fan and will look for replacement. Just like Adobe to create something then ruin interest in their product by overpricing or ruining design. Ever wonder why so many free alternative doc to PDF and editors... Adobe ruined it for themselves. Terrible way to run things.

Best scanner on the market!!. I am a math teacher & have been using scanning apps for years to scan & share things like handwritten solutions. I would not have been able to make it through teaching online during the COVID-19 quarantine without this incredibly intuitive & easy to use app. We tested a few apps, but frankly, this was the only scanner app all of my students could figure out how to use. It holds all of my documents - and I have A LOT of documents. Before COVID-19, I was using a different scanner app. I switched to Adobe Scan exclusively and this will be the ONLY scanner app recommend/require for my students!

I had to get my Resume updated…. I have not applied for a different assignment in 11 years and I was given an assignment I didn’t want and I had to update my last resume from 11 years ago! I had all the documents, but scanning/ uploading, and getting new Forms that were “read only” would have taken forever! I saw this Adobe App pop up and I had it all done in less than 1 hour! Getting a new job is stressful enough, especially when you have 15 year old letters and certificates that you can’t just download. I love anything that can reformat to PDF+ and is technically simple w/out having to buy the App/software! 5/5 Stars!

The G.O.A.T of Scanner Apps. I was introduced to this gem back in 2019 when I was graduating high school. My teacher recommended we use it because we had to scan a bunch of graduation stuff. I’ve been using this app throughout college and it has been great. No limits, no ads, no catches to use the app. Just create an account and start scanning. Super easy and the tools are great. I had to scan my diploma a while back and the diploma had water stains that were easy to take out using the editing tools. I think this is the scanner app I’ll be using forever!

No longer working to move to Adobe Acrobat DC. Over the last year the functionality of the pdf scanner is getting worse. I am using an iPad Pro 12.9, and that actual scanning works, but when I try to move it to Adobe ReaderDC, it cant open the document, no matter how many times I do it. For awhile I could email it to myself, and then transfer it to the reader. Now that isn’t working either. I depend on using this software many times a month and now I have no way of scanning and sending documents. Please fix this! I need the ability to use both software apps together!

Works perfectly!. This app is fantastic. I frequently have to scan documents/pages of notes into PDF format and e-mail them for work, which I usually wait to do at the office since I have access to the scanner there. However when I'm working from home it's trickier since I don't have a scanner here- enter this app to solve all my problems! I am so impressed with the quality of the scans- some apps produce grainy/blurry images that are clearly taken using a phone camera. I honestly can't tell the difference between documents I've scanned at the office vs. at home using this app. Highly, highly recommend!

Adobe Scan. Below you can read what I once thought about this app. It USED to work so well. Since the “improvements” it is less intuitive, glitchy, harder to find already made files, and harder to SEE the pictures you are taking while trying to convert the file to pdf. Still, I am grateful the app exists, but I wish it was the way it used to be. Gone from five stars to two. Previous review: Life changing. I am a private tutor, seeing most students now on line. After we meet I can easily take pictures of the notes, convert them to pdf and send them students. Renaming each file makes them easy to find using the search key. Works like a charm. No glitches. Super easy. A life saver when we were refinancing the mortgage and had to send documents. Highly recommend!!!

Good enough. As a student, I need to submit a lot of written assignments to my school’s portal, and my teachers’ recommended file type is PDF. The primary reason I use this is the fact that it is so tightly integrated with PDF. However, if you use Microsoft Office, and don’t need PDF as much, I would recommend the built-in document scanner in the “Microsoft 365 (Office)” app, since that has higher-quality effects and filters. That said, the effects and filters offered by this app do suffice, and I only use Google Workspace, so I’m giving it 4.5 stars (I gave it a 4 in my rating because I couldn’t figure out how to give a 4.5).

Need some more money or something else to profit off of. The most common way to make a list of all the things people and their businesses and business owners organized in a single file is a simple file format that is easy to read through the entire file system in order to make a quick reading list of the most important common popular categories of businessman names in a particular business and how they have been used and why their business is being sold to the public to make a profit

Amazing. It was a cozy winter morning at the Crawford house. And grandma was visiting to help make cookies and whatnot. Grandma was using her new iPhone and was asking about its features as she boldly took steps into the Apple world. She explained that she wanted to know if it would print to her fax machine. “Fax machines, are a thing of the past grandma.” I said, hoping to irritate her. But grandma being older and much wiser said “Oh? tell me dear grandson.” So I had her draw a picture. Used this app to scan it and then instantly printed the document from the computer behind me. All from my phone. Like magic, I had created her picture from thin air. Grandma no longer needs a fax machine. Thanks fellas!

Great for copying from boards, books and articles into mono B&W images. I create lots of slides sometimes using old (sometimes centuries old) graphics and charts. Adobe Scan lets me present them in a clear, clean and leveling way. Otherwise I would have to copy the graphic and adjust it in Photoshop or other image processing software. Great for copying from boards, books and articles into mono B&W or crisp color images. Loses a STAR for not having a desktop version. If I am wrong on s presentation on my laptop, I have to pull out my iPhone, take image, edit image, and then upload to a cloud service before I can use it.

Highly recommended. I recommend giving this app a shot. I’d been using another mobile PDF scanner app for years called Genius Scan. It did the trick okay, but it wasn’t great at automatically determining the size and proportions of the document I was trying to scan. Plus, to get much of the useful features (exporting to any other app like Google Drive, Evernote, etc) you have to pay to upgrade. I was happy enough with it, but didn’t know what I was missing until I came across Adobe Scan by chance a few weeks ago. It’s been great! The UI/UX is sharp and very usable. It auto scans much more quickly and effectively and is much more of a joy to use.

Adobe Cloud Privacy Problem. I got Adobe Scan. But, it is not a stand alone app. Scans are not stored on a device, e.g. iPhone, but in Adobe Cloud. After cloud storage, individual files maybe downloaded back to a device by the copy/paste function. This can be very time consuming without an in mass option. Further, there is a problem with confidentiality and privacy given a nondisclosure agreement for scanned information. Further, the app assumes cloud access by any mode of connectivity to Adobe Cloud via the Internet, which is not everywhere & always available anytime regardless the cost. This amounts to loss of control of ones information that results in lost empowerment. Thus, the whole purpose of a device, e.g. iPhone is defeated or lost. It maybe that I do not know Adobe has solved these problems. Lastly, the paramount issues the app raises are about information availability, legality, safety, & security. Sincerely, M A

Extremely unreliable. This app doesn’t always work. Even when it does work there are still too many flaws to actually enjoy using the app. Whenever you go to scan something, 3 out of 5 times you’ll get an error message and the app will completely freeze. If it does work, the app does all these annoying things like applying a weird filter or cropping it completely incorrectly. Honestly I was hoping for a more professional experience but this app is just a complete joke sometimes. Adobe really seems to be going downhill lately and just by looking at all the changes they’re making to their other softwares like photoshop and illustrator it’s easy to see why. Adobe, you need to do better.

Kind of worthless despite scanning well. If you want to pay a monthly fee for Adobe products, yet still be unable to directly download the files to your phone, this annoying product is for you. You get to upload everything to the Adobe cloud and then send annoying Adobe cloud links no one wants to click on to download a pdf that is small enough to just send. I guess it’s good if you just want to save receipts, but why would you need that since you can do that on your phone anyways? On the upside, it’s good at scanning and you can always add a million extra steps, download it to Google drive, then download from here, etc. Kind of worthless in the end. :/

Adobe Scan. App has been working pretty well so far. Auto capture/focus is a convenient feature but sometimes captures image so fast you don't have time to get the entire document under the camera before it snaps a picture. I've found that using the "original photo" yields better results if under any light, other options will make parts of page super white so reading would be tough, and greyscale isn't the greatest choice if there's any color on the page. I've mainly scanned small 20 page documents, but I just started working on a couple POH's for my planes. Should be fun to find out how much space these 1,000 page manuals take up. Overall though, great job on app, would recommend 👍🏻.

Adobe Scan very useful!. I needed to be able to rapidly create PDF files and upload them for correspondence and documentation submission to various insurance companies, attorneys offices, business entities, and government agencies. Adobe scan made it very user-friendly and easy to take a picture of a document on my cell phone, save it with an appropriate name, and email it to my self where I could save the PDF file on my desktop. Then it’s easy to use the upload feature offered by various clients websites, and upload the PDF file and submit it. I wish things were always this simple.

Love the app but cannot get help. premium subscriber using for court case. Cannot open past scans. When I try to log in it wants to force me to log into Adobe reader… Which will screw up my login for adobe scanner which it has done in the past when I first signed up for premium several years ago. Trying to figure out how to get help and appears logging in is the only way but I’m afraid of losing my documents I need them how can I get help other than having to login I’ll reset my review stars once I’m able to get through to somebody. Would really like to get some help thanks

Life is so much easier. I have saved photos as PDF’s, but they look like photos, and not all recipients will accept these. I have done the laborious task of scanning documents, saving them to files, etc. but it takes time and requires being at a printer/scanner and a computer or other device. But with this fantastic app, I don’t even have to get off the couch to convert something (usually paper documents)to a nice, professional looking PDF. A sloppy photo of an invoice with light/shadow variations, wrinkles, etc. is quickly cleaned up and the final product is as good as if it originated from a digital source.

This app is great!!. I’ve tried many scanner apps and this is the best so far. The auto detection and capture works great. Makes scanning multiple pages really fast. The pdf that this app creates is very clear. There is no need to go back and edit the brightness. One feature that I really like about this app is how you can edit the pdf file you already created. For example, let’s say you want to go back and add another page to your pdf file. All you have to do is hit modify scan and add another page. You can also edit the order of the pages after it has been created. Great app!!

Awesome. This app is great scan for using while on your phone. You can scan pages that are if importance and make notes and you can have them accessible at your fingertips. All in one you can share items you scanned with others in seconds flat. Great from those who are multi tasjwrs or that are in book clubs you can scan & put notes once you open up in Adobe reader which has a button on scan so all you have to do is hit and it open up the Adobe reader (as long as you have instslled$ a mbvms f then highlight and make note you came open up when book vlunmeets and you done have to carry whole book with you. 5 + ⭐️ from me.

A major lifesaver!!. I’m studying for my Respiratory Therapist multiple choice exam right now and I’ve already filled in my workbook as my school required me to, but rather than have to try ignoring my previous answers, this app allows me to scan it, erase them and re-enter them! Not only is it expedient but the app never assumes I’m done adding pages so it leaves a single file open for me continually scan more pages into (until it reaches its text recognition limit of 25 and gives a warning, but even then you can still add more!) Adobe Scan is definitely a winner for handheld scanning!

Must Have!!. I’ve NEVER written a review for any app I’ve ever downloaded except for this one. I swear to goodness this app is a life saver. It cut more than 1/2 of my work load just by scanning my files! All I had to do was steadily point my phone at the document. Then it was automatically cropped, I took the picture and moved on to the next one. I mean it was that simple. Not to mention, the clarity and all the little bells and whistles that was added, like the clean up button!!! I mean what more could I ask for!! ;) ;@ <3 Kudos to the Developers and Everyone on the Team!!!! You guys did a GREAT job!!!

Exceptionally poor update timing, deleted multiple files. I was in the middle of an exam, and I normally use this app to scan my exam to upload to our university’s submission website. However, after scanning my exam, I was notified that an update was required to continue using the app and there was no way around it to access my scan. So I updated and suddenly ALL of my recent scans were gone, including the ones I just took. I had to suddenly rescan my exam with less than 10 minutes left, and lo and behold the update was buggy so it took nearly all of that time to scan the document again and have it save properly. If I could award 0 stars and have a chance at winning a lawsuit against Adobe, I absolutely would. What amateurs do they have working for them?? Completely unacceptable from a major tech company.

Love it!!. So I am going through the home buying process and I need to send multiple documents to my lender. I have a printer that prints but it doesn’t scan because of a missing cord. Anyhow, I usually would rather send everything through a PDF file because I work 8-5 Monday through Friday and it’s bad traffic around 5. With this app, I print what I need, snap a picture and it will correct the brightness, look, rotate it, EVERYTHING - so it looks like I scanned it! It has made my life so much easier, I recommend it anyone and everyone that needs the convenience of just snapping a picture to send documents. It even lets you send the file through your email, save to your cloud, anything.

LuckyAce 1. Love this scan app! Has much needed feature! I now have the capability to send faxes . Now when you send to a fax number your documents are at legible and actual size when using adobe scan. This is truly a miracle tool for anyone who needs to send docs or contracts and only have a fax number and mailing address and takes to long or can crashes sending by email because file size. Learned this all by personal experience. This now can be done without having to go to a service center like Office Depot, UPS store, or any Business office just to send a fax. Wow a true breakthrough! Adobe Thank you!

Can't live without it. I adore this app. I use it almost daily because I have to do a ton of paperwork and it has shaved HOURS off of the amount of time I spend on paperwork (ie, trying to figure out my scanner printer and send things to the right place etc etc). I would have yeeted my printer/scanner out my window if I'd continued to try using it for scanning purposes. It was really nice to be able to, for example, scan and upload my covid vaccine card and my flu vaccine paperwork in less than 5 minutes while I was waiting after my shot. Everyone in school or who has a paperwork heavy job NEEDS this app.

no-nonsense, and handy (:.

When I say THEE BEST, I mean it. I can’t tell you how many other scanners and pdf apps I’ve searched for, downloaded, disliked, and deleted, but, trust me, there have been A LOT of them. This app is not only like-able (can’t say the same for ANY of the others I’ve tried), but its phenomenally easy to understand, user friendly, and all encompassing in what you would want and expect in this app. ALL WITHOUT ADDS!! Seriously, the free to use features on this app is fantastic in-and-of-itself; get that, it’s great. But I, myself would never want to pay for in-app purchases on any other scanner or pdf app other than this one, because I say, any other app is NOT worth your time.

Adobe Scan - initial review. I have moved from Scannable which was integrated with Evernote, on to OneNote and it’s related App, Office Lens, because I like OneNote so much more than Evernote. However, I find Office Lens does not produce the best results from difficulty identifying documents, to out of focus situations, to missing or incorrect capture of business card information in my iPhone Contacts. In an initial test, I found Adobe Scan did a great job of capturing notes from my Moleskine notebook and enabling me to copy them into OneNote. The experience was better than using Office Lens. I do this in situations where I cannot type notes directly into OneNote. For now, I will continue to use Adobe Scan.

Top two scanner apps here's why. I refuse to buy this 200 textbook that the link rare in my school also has. So I was using Evernote scan feature. I did 150 pages in 30 minutes. Despite me having to repeatedly redo pages. I downloaded multiple apps to see which one recognized the page faster. I go so many apps I don't even remember getting this one. This app recognizes and snaps the photo the quickest out of them all. It's also the most accurate from what I've seen. I haven't compared quality of photos yet. But just k ow if you're doing a large amount of pages this will be the quickest.

Wasted my money. I paid $9.99 because I needed to compress a file in order to email it. I spent over an hour trying to wait for the file to compress. It was an urgent matter and couldn't continue waiting for it. I ended up having to split the file and send separately. The following day I needed to convert a file to a PDF. I spent 2 hours before I gave up. Usually I don't need these type of features. I thought it would be worth it if it actually worked. I submitted a request for a refund. I had already deleted the app on my phone and cancelled the subscription. I have proof that I had to send 2 emails with the file split in 1/2. When requesting a refund there isn't an option to submit documentation. My request was denied. Had any of the features worked properly on my iPhone 13 that is up to date. I would've been happy to spend $9.99. It's only $10 but I feel taken.

Best Scan App. In my view this is the most used application from Adobe. I have them all and so use Adobe Scan the most. The scans are improved and 100% better than photos. I scan important documents & then send them to myself via AirDrop. You can scan up to 50 pages. The more pages then sometimes it has crashed for me. It does have a safety feature that you don’t lose your scan but rather when you Re-log in it asks you if you want to save what you were previously scanning. There is a free option of the app. Highly recommend it.

Great tho not perfect. Great app. Ive digized several hard to find books and archival items and the app does a great job cropping the photos and capturing information that is already old and a little degraded. I really only have 2 complaints about this program: 1) it doesn’t remind you WHILE you’re scanning that it can only perform text recognition on scans of 25 pages or less. It waits until you’ve scanned everything and are about to save it as a pdf to remind you. 2) rearranging docs after you’ve done all your scanning can be really difficult because of the small thumbnail images.

Adobe scan is everything is exactly why I love Adobe products!!. I highly recommend DEBBIE scan, you will be very pleased to see how well their technology works in scanning documentation by using your camera that comes out literally better than using my normal scanner on my computer which takes hours skinny one document at a time, wasting at least 30 seconds for each page Just to scan each page and it can take up to 15 minutes to half an hour to include an entire document. This can take you three minutes or less and you’re done and now have a perfect PDF file. Try it and you will never go back to the old-school ways

Excellent App! However.... Great app that allows you to take multiple photos of documents and pages and turn them into pdf documents. The app automatically finds the borders, which you can adjust on the fly and takes the photo. Tons of editing/tuning options. -1 star for not being able to set some additional preferences/defaults. The app always defaults to “Auto Color” which is not very good and doesn’t look natural. I always have to change it to “Original Color”. Even though there is an option to “apply to all pages” it doesn’t seem to work and I have to do it for each page. Other than that, solid app to use for submitting those distance learning assignments and other items.

Software is now broken. Adobe updated this scanning program and removed the main feature that I used to use it for. The program used to automatically adjust a scanned document straightening edges if you scanned at an angle and automatically cropped the document. I wished I never updated this program because it is now useless. Adobe got back to me to fix the issue. I needed to turn on the auto mode and change the option to not adjust the borders after every Scan. I wish that they didn’t change the location of the shutter button because it is awkward when scanning a portrait document. Thanks Adobe.

Love Adobe Scan.. I have used Genius Scan, Scanner Pro, then for a second PDFfiller Scanner(which was horrible. Bad scans, never found the borders, unusable.) Then the heavens parted and a bright light shown down and there it was Adobe Scan. It’s fast, easy, takes great scans, and it has so many features that I haven’t even tried yet. My favorite part about it is how easy it is because it is so intuitive. It finds the borders automatically and takes the scan for you, then it crops it and adjusts the brightness and the color for you before you even open it. You can readjust if you don’t like it, but every time the scan has been perfect. Best scanner I’ve ever used and.....IT’S FREE!!! Ahhhhhhleluiah!

Great App! User Friendly. A derby skin app is unbelievably easy to use even for someone who doesn’t know much about phones or computers. You can easily just scan the document rename it and then share it to your drive an email etc. what’s nice about this outside just taking a photo of the document is if you have more than one and you scan all of them it’s one document flowing nicely not 10 different pictures and especially whenApplying for jobs and stuff they want everything and PDF file not JPEG and this app allows you to save your documents in either form. Great Job Adobe!

Business and life made easy. * facts at bottom* I have suddenly become a rental owner and manager when I picked up the business after my husband was no longer able to continue. I needed help and something to make the business make sense and get organized. I scan it, share, email to my business (or personal) email, save in google drive from there (so it’s saved in two places) I now use it to take pictures of my kids art, my grocery budgeting, of course all of my bills and I’m about to start saving all my years of journaling! Yikes that’s a lot! I take notes at my church and have kept them saved even though I never read them again, because of this app I no longer have to waste that space but I can still have the notes that change my life! * quick - I take a picture of every receipt and email it to my google docs while standing in line. * easy - I am a bit of a ditzy blond without the blonde. I can do this. Anyone can. * operational - it connects to everything I need it to. - email - docs - adobe reader - printing - I’m sure tons more

Necessary Tool for Everyone and their Mother. This is an absolute must have for everybody and their mother! As an accountant I regularly receive JPEG files from my clients. About half of the time I have to be the one converting the JPEG’s into PDF, And it’s not much of an issue as long as I receive it in an email. However, I occasionally receive these JPEG files via text message, now instead of having to forward the text message via e-mail to myself, then I will alter the file and archive. I can now import it straight into Adobe Scan, save it as a PDF, and then share the final version with my staff and archive the document. Also, when I’m on the go and need to save a receipt or other document, I no longer have to wait to scan when I return to the office, it can all be done, anytime, anywhere at my convenience. It doesn’t replace the good old fashioned scanner hardware but it’s definitely the a necessary optional tool.
