Alternative Browsers Unsupported. I don’t know if this can be fixed but I hope it can an I hope you are able to provide an update. This app is perfect, as long as you are using Safari. When all you have to do is use a different browser, it breaks its utility in my opinion. As I primarily use Chrome at the moment, this app doesn’t work at all.

Amazing App But please.... Thank you for this incredible app. It is very effective at allowing you to block the websites that you don’t wish to visit for a certain period of time HOWEVER it would be incredible if you could increase the time limit! I will gladly pay for this app again if I could block certain websites up to days or even weeks!! Thank you and hope you update soon

Doesn’t work. This doesn’t work for me at all. I’m still able to access all the sites I’ve “blocked” when I use Safari.

Works great-- would love a timer. App does what it says and works great. I'd like to see a feature where the list of blocked sites can't be unblocked for a set amount of time.

Can’t access videos from other apps while blocker is on. Is there a way to fix this? I enable the app in my settings but I’m unable to browse videos from another site I did not block.

A little bit more. I wish you could add a even stronger feature disallowing users from unlocking the web for a certain amount of time. Usually, I block distracting websites and then a coupe of hours later I disable the application. I think it would be more helpful for users who have hard time concentrating.

Needs more features. It’s basically just a content blocker with a timer for 3$. Does the job but it would nice to have other features for different use cases. For instance blocking websites from 9-5 while I’m at work

SELF CONTROL!! Thank tou for this app. Great way to start the new year 2019 blocking the websites that is time consuming. Easy to ser it up and best thing is the timer is EXTENDED not just hours!! months!! ALMOST UNLIMITED!! Wow!! I really appreciate this app.

Unable to get it to work. I was really hoping this would work but for some reason my phone is not allowing me to enable this as a content blocker. I would gladly change my review if someone could help me out here.

Clean, simple and work like a charm!. Thanks to this, I can block all the distracting sites and save lots of time.

Could use an update.. It really needs a PIN code to allow changes to be made.

Only blocks safari. Only seems to block websites on safari. Doesn’t work on chrome and doesn’t seem to block apps either. I would’ve thought I could’ve been missing something but plenty of others complained about this and the developer is giving no response…🤷🏻‍♂️

Unable to use with Chrome. I’ve used this for years in my MBP and finally decided to download for my iPhone. Sadly it only works for Safari and I use chrome. Is there a work around I’m missing or a feature add on that can be built?

no block scheduling timer. One of the screenshots on the Block Websites app listing suggests there would be a scheduled timer function (eg block websites from 9-5). This feature is absent and limits the utility of the app.

Five Star Blocker App. No fuss. Does exactly what I want and need it to do.

The upper limit is 1 day. You can't block a website permanently or set a white list for a period of time everyday

Great App with one complaint.. I believe that this app is worth the money and that I am seeing improvements in my daily routine. But I have one great issue: the app can too easily be disabled by selecting “turn off content blockers” on safari. Additionally, you can just as easily disable the app by going to “Safari” in settings and deselecting “use content blocker on all websites.” I adore this blocker app, but it sadly isn’t completely on “Self Control”’s level, which was the idea and the goal.

Doesn’t block apps. Only blocks sites on Safari browser. Useless.

Doesn’t seem to work. The first couple of times it worked perfectly but now it doesn’t at all. Blocked sites open as normal

Needs a scheduling function. This is a good app that works very well. There’s one function which if added would make this a five-star app: it needs to be able to run on an automatic schedule. I want it to click on at 8:30 a.m., and run until 5:30 p.m. M-F, without me having to go in and activate the timer every morning. If it could do that, this would be a perfect app.

Simple app that does what I need it to do.. List the sites you want to block, or an asterisk to block them all, say “block,” and set the timer. Boom, I can’t be distracted by Facebook or Reddit or other gremlins. I had a question and emailed the developer, who responded the next day and was helpful. The only other blocking apps I found were much more elaborate, do other things, and charge annual fees. This does what I need for a few bucks.

Can’t Enable = Can’t Use. The app has to be enabled in your Settings. Well, I found it, but it’s grayed out. I can’t enable the app, so it’s useless. I’d like a fix or my money back.

Waste of Money. This does not disable apps. It’s only useful for Safari.

Needs timer. This app needs a timer like self control, or if it has a timer it needs to be obvious how to access it.

Would work if. Works great except you can easily go into settings and turn it off so whats the point? If it were set so you could not turn it off for a period of time - hours to months, then it would great

Doesn't work. It used to. Now it doesn't. Not sure what happened but I remember why I deleted it now. Maybe not compatible with iOS16? IDK. Would like it if it worked.

Exactly what I wanted!. Thank you, 2018 is another year filled with bad news that I can’t look away from. This app stops me from refreshing it obsessively so I can get back to living my life. My only request is an option to block longer than 24 hours.

Doesn’t seem to work. I enabled the content blocker app in Safari and added the websites and it doesn’t seem to block the sites at all. Where can I find help to troubleshoot?

No need to use this app. It only works on safari but not Firefox /google browser, Yet you can easily block websites in safari. I don’t see the value of this app at all. Please suggest how I can get refund

Great app, could use two things to make it amazing. Works well. Not sure why you can’t set the timer to 24 hours (have to do 23 hours and 45 mins) but it does mirror the feature in the well known macOS SelfControl app. Please add landscape orientation on iPad, iCloud sync, and make a macOS version. That would be incredible! Apps like these help all of us be more productive, keep it up!

Works perfectly. The app works great, and does exactly what it says, with no fuss. I'd love to see the ability to block specific URLs (instead of just hostnames) or block URLs/hostnames by keyword patterns (although I'm not sure if the content blocker API even allows for that). Overall it still works great and I have no complaints!

Will block sites but not apps?. This appears to only block the websites not the apps themselves. So pretty much useless.

Great for breaking social media habits. This is a terrifically useful app for blocking distracting websites, and breaking reflexive habits around same.

Turned my phone into a dumb phone. Oh, it does so much more than just block Facebook and Instagram. I thought I had set the app up to only block specific sites, but as soon as I set the timer, it blocked all access to the internet. Period. I can't even access the App Store. Neither can I find information on how to disable the app. Catastrophic.

It cant work if all you need to do is press one button in safari to cancel the block!. Its really great that you can time the block but i wish it will have options for a week or even a month. Second this it doesn’t work since if i just cancel the safari option the block is off. Whats the point??

One small change.... It’s pretty good. Simple and serves its purpose. One thing I would like is to be able to set the end date for a timer further forward (but not backward) while the timer is ongoing.

Redundant. You’re able to block and unblock website in the settings on your phone. Meanings this app is completely redundant and a waste of money. I downloaded expecting the same functionality as Self control on my Mac meaning I could block websites with a time limit before I can visits them again. Not an app that takes my money for something my phone can already do 😡

Nothing like the OS Xversion. The app has no timer and you can easily unblock all of the content. It works nothing like the OS X version. I want my money back. I paid 3.99 had I known what I know now, I wouldn’t pay .99 for it. Awful app.

Block Websites Without Using Screen Time. Great and simple app that allows you to block individual websites without it tracking everything you do on your phone. Can also set timer to disable blocking all websites. Would be great if they added an option to use the timer for individual websites or groups of websites as well.

Simple and effective.. I like how little this app costs yet how minimalist and effective it is. A lot of other blocker apps are overly complex and bloated which makes them difficult to use. I was using another app to block the internet but it was also blocking all of my apps which use internet and that was frustrating. So I’m glad this can block the internet, remains locked, yet I can still call a Lyft or use maps or something simple at the same time. The only recommendation I’d make is to also have the ability to block certain apps, and also to set schedules. Otherwise great!

No timer. The app has no timer, and the screen shot is fake. Waste of money
