Liked their products hate their software. The biggest problem with DJI is that their software game makes it incredibly difficult to use their products. You have pretty much have bought a fancy brick, unless you sign in, and agree to their terms and update, their software and firmware, pair the devices again, and the calibrate, every time you try to use your device and now oh no! your battery is dying already, never mind the fact that you missed the magical shot you had just gotten an opportunity to take 15 minutes ago when you grabbed your gear! Also of not is the fact that the majority of these tasks require a signal, so if you’ve got a dedicated device as a monitor or camera (like an old iPhone) that doesn’t have cellular connection, or you’re out in the woods, on location, or just somewhere without a WiFi connection capability, you’re equipment is dead weight. I’m not really exaggerating, their software is such a hassle to use that it goes beyond frustrating and hinders your ability to actually use their devices. Whether it be the Osmo series, the drones, the ronins, you end up with the same experience, you’re spending more time trying to set it up every time you want to use it than you will actually using it.

Not reliable. The DJI go 4 app is hit and miss if I’m not having a problem updating my flight record then I’m having problems with my transmission.I attempted to fly my dji spark 4/3/19 with my iPad & my iPhone 6s+ and both kept saying bad transmission signal to weak turn off nearby Bluetooth; the Bluetooth on my phone, iPod, my wife’s iPhone, my surround sound bar inside etc. with no luck I just gave use and it’s crazy because I jus was flying long distance 4/1/19 from my helipad in my front yard. I was so frustrated I didn’t not attempt to launch my dji Mavic air into the sky. I didn’t contact dji today I hate having to speak with the most times I cannot understand them and it seems most knows nothing about the products they look up the information online while you are on hold forever. I’m going to attempt to call them tomorrow if the problem persists I’m really dreading it because I’ve had to return the remote before only for them to not be able to replace the broken charger port, thank god I placed insurance on the drone when I purchased it the insurance company wrote a check for the price of a new remote. I know my insurance is up but it worth attempting to get it checked it’s in perfect visual condition I’ve had her over 2 years with no accidents.

Valuable videography footage opportunity lost. I was out camping and cracking cold ones on a Saturday with my boys (because that's what Saturdays are for) and I thought it would be a great idea to bust out my Mavic and get some aerial video shots for the trip video I was making but sure enough upon opening the app I not only had to log in but I also needed to update the app this would not normally be a problem but I was out in the middle of nowhere with 0 cell service with a perfectly good drone, grounded because the app isn't update efficient/can't keep me logged in. It's 2017, this shouldn't be an issue, I paid good money for this drone I'd like to use it thank you. UPDATE it is now FEB 2018 and I’m still experiencing the same issues only this time it was for a paying client, there is nothing I dislike more than looking unprofessional I wish I could leave half a star as an app review. It TRULY is a shame DJI doesn’t have software to match there fantastic hardware.

If your app is crashing. I went on a several trips with my Mavic Pro Platinum over the last month and each time has had a firmware update or the app would crash every 10 seconds. These updates were more than inopportune since 95% of the time I’m off the grid and working. My last day with it was yesterday when the app crashed every few seconds while on a remote location shoot. I went home and ended up deleting the app and reinstalling it last night. Turned out there was conflicting firmware updates and so it spent 10 minutes realigning the firmware (with Mavic, controller, and app on). Once it was finished, I haven’t had the app crash yet.

It works. So far it has been flawless on my iPhone 6S+ with the Mavic Air. I have not done any long distance flights yet, but will this weekend. I will update my review if there are any changes, but my testing so far has been successful. No crashes or blackouts as some report. The people giving one star reviews because they have to now have an account or can’t change their email in app need to get over themselves. Those are not reasons for one star and are not giving true impressions of the flight capabilities of the app. The people with blackouts, crashes, and flyaways... maybe, but there could be other reasons for those to occur. My experience has been positive so far and I am happy with the update. Great work DJI. ***NOTE*** This review is not a paid endorsement for DJI products. I have not received any payments from DJI or any other company in exchange for this review.

Great App!. I’ve had a spark for a couple months now, and have had no issues with it or the app. I have the fly-more combo, and using the controller alongside some of the intelligent flight modes you get with the app is awesome. Using the app makes updating the drone, controller, and batteries really easy and puts it all in one place. The built-in editor makes piecing small content to post easy and mobile, and it makes viewing shots you’ve taken very accessible. Overall I think what DJI is accomplishing is amazing and I hope to continue to see great innovations from them in the years to come.

App Won’t Work on my iPhone 6S. I got a Mavic Pro Platinum a couple of weeks ago. I tried to connect it to my personal iPhone 6S. The app constantly said it was “Disconnected” with the drone. I then tried my wife’s iPhone 6 and my work phone (iPhone 6S+) and they both worked just fine. I was able to update the firmware and fly the drone with both of those phones. I called support the next day and was told to “use the other phones that work”. When I explained that I didn’t want to have to use my wife’s phone or my work phone all the time, all I got from the tech was, “just wait until the new app update comes out.” Well, it’s been 4 weeks now since an update, and I have not been able to fly my drone with my personal phone. I talked to my work and they don’t want me using it to fly the drone and my wife isn’t around all the time. I’m giving this app 1 star for the crappy support, poor ability to work with all phones, and its ability to make so many others, just like me, as mad as I am. I am very disappointed in you DJI. If only you could create software as good as your hardware.

I Actually Love This App. The DJI Spark is my first drone. I recently got it and I am in love with it. I also purchased the remote. I had issues with connectivity to my Spark without the remote, but with future app updates It got better. Either way the remote really brings out the ability to fully appreciate what you’ve got in your hands. Recently this app is pretty darn flawless for me. I can break out my Spark, power the remote, open the app, and I’m in the air. That still just blows my mind every time I fly. I love the improvements they make with each app update, I love the Sport mode, I marvel at the technology, and I just admire the ease of use compared to what I initially thought it would be. I’ve got a flying friggin camera on me all the time. How cool is that?

When it works it’s great!. For the first few months I’ve been using this app it was working great. About two month ago DJI did an update and now it crashes when I am try to edit videos. You would have thought that they would have fixed this problem be now. Most programmers I know work from home. Most of them work by contract. So, the shut down really isn’t a good reason for the slow response to this problem if you ask me. With more people at home, this would have been a good chance for dji to really promote their products, but they didn’t. And we have technical issues. Which is why it’s only getting three stars, not more.

App needs more stability. The app itself crashes a lot and doesn’t communicate with the remote even though it’s a cable between the remote and the iPhone. When it refuses to communicate the remote will have an annoying alarm that will continue until you shut it off and reinstall the app. App will crash mid flight. The button you have to press when you’re flying near a restricted area is very small and almost the same color as the background. Very difficult to see and even more difficult to activate. I do appreciate the warning it gives though. When it does work everything else is fine. Flying a Mavic Air.

Not very intuitive. Getting this app and the connection to controller working was not very intuitive. After watching tutorial videos and then several unsuccessful attempts to connect the controller to the Mavic it finally worked. The controller would pair but then the app would say disconnected. Then the app would connect and the Mavic controller wasn’t connected. Finally it worked after some combination of attempted techniques. Raised to 3 stars now that I can actually use the Mavic. Using on iPhone 6sPlus. Looking forward to upgrading to an iPad Mini because there is so much info on the screen. Will know more once I get a chance to fly more. Reading through the info it looks like there is no built in feature to mirror to another device or third party goggles. I would have to buy an another app and there are none with any good reviews or do apple screen mirroring through a hot spot. Seems like a simple feature that should be included. Please add this! INITIAL REVIEW: Tried several times to make an account through the app and it didn’t work. Went on website and created account. Took several hours to get app to accept password. Now it says ‘sign-in failed. Check your network connection’ after trying several different networks. Totally useless. Frustrated.

The idea is good, just not quite all there yet.. I have the mavic air 2, which this app isn’t compatible with, but I use it to download videos from my smart controller with the go share feature. It’s nice to be able to download the videos directly to my iPhone, but it’s a hassle to have to just sit on my phone, with the file downloading, and tapping my phone every so often to keep it awake so the download doesn’t fail. It will also fail if I put the app in the background. So I just sit here for 10 to 15 minutes watching my phone while a 2+ GB file downloads over the 2.4 ghz WiFi network from the smart controller. Could have been done better. Don’t get me wrong, the drone is amazing and takes great footage, the software experience is definitely lacking though. Hope to see improvements

Combined multiple bad programs. This software is extremely difficult to use. The programs within the programs within the programs has you going all over the place just to figure out how to find your videos and photos. None of it makes any user friendly sense. Way to frustrating in complexity. It is the only app option though so you’re stuck with it! The video editing is nice for beginners, so I gave it one star. DJI needs to spend the money and start over or even better, they could ask someone to use it in front of them, map out all the issues (frustrations), and re-organize the software program to make things simple. Leave the software intact, I don’t care, but for crying out loud, make it easier to get to different places within it. You have made videos to explain videos that explain how to do something. So silly! Just start over and create a menu.

Works well in flight, auto editing is useful. Never had any problem in understanding the app and its functions. It’s really clear even when you have to deal with stressful situations in flight. The store needs more variety, there is no accessories I can find, only flagship products. Really don't care about the social media part of it. Most complaints I see here and in forums are about HARDWARE limitations or misuse. Despite being a movie industry professional for 20 years, I really like the auto editing features even though half the automatic scene choices I have to fine tune. I wish there are longer clips to choose from in this function, an ample selection of filters and more styles/music to select. Most of my flights are not supposed to be masterpieces of cinematography, I just want to escape from the ground a little while and toy around and this autonomous features make these flights more likely to be documented. Another suggestion: The interface does well its job, but lets face it - its really boring! How about something like “skins” to choose from? Something more aggressive like from a jet plane, or minimalistic and uncluttered for better viewing experiences or even “fantasy” like an alien ship? You can sell these, people will pay for it because not everyone takes itself too seriously. Anyway, keep the good work, guys. Looking forward for the next generation of DJI products.

Go4 app works nice.. Although this app lacks the ability to set way points on the map, it works pretty good good. I just read a review from someone, and could barely make sense of it since it didn’t seem that he knew how to use punctuation to break up his thoughts about his issues with the program. I mean, all you have to do is say things like the word comma, and the word period. I have flown my spark without any issues at least a dozen times. What I am puzzled about is that it’s terrible that Go4 doesn’t rotate the screen on my iPad when I have it in the controller...although a third party app figured out how to do it...also what is bad is there should be a slight smoothing out of the gimbal in sport mode...also the yaw rate in sport mode should be adjustable.

Mavic 2 pro. Update still crickets as usual DJI is going to be the last company to update Do you realize ios13 came out almost a month ago beta has been out for months. Still nothing. There is absolutely no excuse not to have this software up and running on ios13 and now iOS 13.1. This is nothing new for DJI I bought a Ronin S for a Nikon d810 that they said it would work on that was over a year ago still no dice on that one. There is so much development time for iOS. I love their products to bad their software development team is no where close to their hardware devolpers. Come on guys need to update my phone I tried this on the last beta and it was not useable for daily flights for work. I reloaded iOS so I could safely fly my Mavic.

Newbie drone world. My first time ever buying a drone (spark) definitely in my infancy when it comes to the drone world. I’m excited about this product but I have some complaints which after reading I’m not the only one with the same problem. 1) The app and it’s signal is pretty weak - I have 8 Plus and the remote controller and I’m in an open field and the signal is still weak. This is even when I have everything updated to the latest 2) the photos and videos are super choppy, again in a middle of an open field. There’s a huge delay when I take a photo it freezes and then it takes the picture about 10 seconds later 3) I never knew that this thing came with so many and I mean so many restrictions on flying. I under safety is imperative but, no flying when you’re over 5 to 10 miles away from an airport ? Really ? The spark is really cute and it’ll probably be my first and last drone that id get from DJI itself.

Problem with my Spark. I recently bought a Spark! Its the best drone in this price range! Definitely, I am in love with it! But, since my second flight (when I turned off Beginner Mode), the DJI Go 4 app (or, maybe the drone itself) cannot save the max flight altitude. Because of that fact, I cannot flight the way I want. I set it up to 500 meters, but when I close the settings menu and open it again, it shows that the max flight altitude was set it up to 50 meters; when I start the flight, the aircraft goes to 120 meters of altitude (disrespecting the 50 meters limit) but cannot go higher than that. I already tried to re-install the DJI Go app, but it didn’t solved my problem! What should I do? Thank you for your time, Lucas Carlini

Great App to use, BUT with a few flaws.... I recently purchased a DJI spark about a month ago. First let me say as my first drone this UAV is soooo much fun to fly. Amazing the technology that’s in the DJI drone family. Probably why the app seems to work 98% of the time. The other 2 % is having connectivity issues. I’ll try every trick in the book. My last attempt was to delete the app and reinstall it which worked. I think because you have such variety of drones that can be used on the same app is bound to have a few bugs. Not to mention the wide variety of variables to cause connectivity issues. In conclusion, I use the app almost every day multiple times and have had only a few problems. I would’ve given it a 5 star review but it’s just not quite there yet. Thank you DJI for the amazing drones you’ve given us and a great app to use them!

Could not do without!. You can’t learn to fly a helicopter or airplane overnight, let alone a UAV or drone, but having an app like this, and a little patience, will keep you in the air safely, giving you the confidence that your investment will not be lost in a crash. Once you gain more experience, you may be able to lower or disable some of the safety features, that make some of you writing these reviews, preemptively frustrated. I wouldn’t trust any other app over this one, when I put over $5,000 of my hard earned money in the air! Way to go DJI!

Weak Transmission Signal Issue. I had purchased the DJI Spark back in December of 2017 without the remote and the app did its job. I never really had issues of the app crashing like other people have stated. I’ve recently purchased the RC controller for the spark along with an OTG cable. I turn the Spark on, then the controller and wait for the connection, then connect the OTG cable to my phone and then the controller. Now you should be able to fly the Spark without WiFi if using the OTG cable. With everything connected properly, the DJI GO4 app says that the drone is connected but says that there is a weak transmission signal. I’ve done some research and have heard that it has started to do that with the new update. If that issue can be fixed then I’d consider leaving 5 stars for the review.

No ISSUES NO PROBLEMS. In 2014 I started with the DJI Flame Wheel 550, no issues. Now granted this is pre-DJI GO and GO 4. I moved to the P4 after watching the Phantom series move along and decided in 2015 to move up to the Phantom 4. From then on I’ve never experienced an issue that has not been solved by an update or issue not taken care of by warranty. 6 years later still flying with the same set up down to the original blades and aside from a controller battery fail, no issues that I can speak to revolving around the DJI GO 4 App. Knock on wood and continued safe flying and SW that is working, this app works. I’ll follow up with any seen issues and as I move into the DJI FPV.

Great drone handicapped by software. You have to have your iPhone and drone connected and powered on to download the firmware update. Why? I am on vacation and on a slow WiFi. It kills both my phone and drone batteries for no reason. Why can’t I just download and then connect the drone to install? The first time I launched the app with a new Mavic it gave me the message for a special offer for a support package that I could purchase within 48 hours of registration. Did not have my credit card with me, so I skipped assuming I would find a link to the offer later - Nowhere to be found again. Many such frustrating details, plus a very bad get started user manual, make the whole experience frustrating. Too bad for an otherwise great product.

Was once broken - Now seems fine. I recently purchased a Spark. Super awesome drone, especially since it’s so small. It is precise and hovers. A large upgrade from the $80 Walmart drone I had before. The app was nice, I had experience with it and the Inspire 2. But it kept crashing over and over. Just as people mention in the reviews. But after a recent update, it has worked flawlessly. It even seems to drain less battery on my phone than usual. I would give it five stars, but because this crashing problem lasted about a month, it’s somewhat crushing to that fifth star. The Spark costs a few hundred dollars. Our Inspire two after all cameras and batteries is about 6K. Not to mention that we use two Inspires for most shoots. Bad for having problems. Good for fixing it quickly. I love the fun options on the drone. It makes taking simple and fun shots so easy. And their is also so much available maneuvering, so that one can do their own thing if they want. It goes fast, and is very quiet.

Restricted. Ok. I waited a few days to post. I am in a 5mi airport radius and you may not exhibit the extremely annoying bs that dji forces upon us. I don’t condone flying illegally, so make sure you know the rules. My biggest gripe is these are rules are forced while indoors too. 1: I need to approve every takeoff. I get that, but first we get a warning. Then we get a partially working check box/ok button. Then we can fly. That is if you don’t practice a landing. If you do that, you need to approve it again even if it’s only 30 seconds later. 2: Sometimes my enhanced warning zone becomes a warning zone. No longer is a warning/check box/ok button sufficient. Now we need to verify by a credit card or text message. Enter my number and I cannot press the verify button since it’s below the screen. I can scroll to see it, but it goes right back down. 3: GPS indoors is not always a good signal. Took off in atti mode only to have #2 apply while mid flight once it picked up GPS signals. Locked me out and it started landing on its own. Of course in an area that would likely have been a catastrophic crash. I had to dive for it and grab it out of the air! Please bring back the gps on/off or an indoor mode with height restrictions. Super annoying to spend a grand on something we can’t even use in our own home. Seriously considering returning it for one from another company. Way too many hoops.

Push fw update notifications pls!. I give 4 stars, however I came back from my last shoot wanting to give 0.5 stars (literarly). I do understand that the DJI systems are getting more complex and therefore it is necessary to keep everything update. But people have better things to do than to constantly update sw. I was on a shoot, remote location (fully legal, no restrictions, just mountains with some 2G spots. The app crashed all the time, image transmission issues sometimes preventing me to do the imagery I was actually out there for. It seems fine after the updates. So ... DJI, please, could you push notifications about these app and firmware updates that are required on the phone, drone and controller to fly reliably and safely? Updating on location is sometimes impossible and as the drones get smaller, the times of “prepare at home before flight” are over.

Dji go 4 crashes all day long. First. For such of expensive product Mavic pro or pro 2, this application should work flawless, no hiccups one so ever, I purchased the drone with the best desire to have on the air right away, i downloaded the app and as soon as I started the new account process on the app, the app crashed, I though it was a faulty download, so I deleted it, reset my mobile and started downloading it again, I did this 4 times with no successful registration due to the annoying crashes of the add. Then I look for information on the dji forum and I found comments about this crashing app from months ago, like what the heck? For a unit that cost over $1000, this company can’t deliver an app that work and enhance the drone experience. So now I’m so disappointed, can’t fly the unit above 16-18 feet high, as it shows limitations that need to be completed or set using the app. If I use another app to fly the unit , it will void my warranty. What it the deal with this ??? With some many people working remotely, can’t dji put a team of app developers together and have this working properly.....!!!!!. I can’t even review the app itself because i can’t even do the registration.

Do not update!!!. The app layout is great and actually I enjoyed the use of it until all these forced updates came out... I have a phantom 4 and all was great until the new firmware came out. Then came all the app updates that took away the ability to rollback the firmware to the previous version. I am very disappointed with dji at this point. Their customer service is terrible and their only excuse to fix the problem is to send your drone in to be looked at. There’s nothing to look at other then your bad updates. Everything was fine until all of this. IF YOU HAVEN’T UPDATED ANYTHING DONT!!! I promise you will be very unhappy with your decision like I am. $1300 just sits in its case because it flys like crap now and the app always glitches and shows bad signal when I’m 3 ft away from the drone! Fix your firmware dji

Too much problems. This is the third one I’ve had so far and since I live in hawaii of course I want to film coastal and waterfall scenes but the the thing loves to land in water it seems. The first time I figured it could have been a weak transmission so I chucked it up as a loss, the second hit sport mode while when it wasn’t even switched on and crashed but I was able to fish it out the stream and it still works flys but it’s buggy and flips out and not stable and this third time it wouldn’t return and auto landed in the ocean when trying to fly it home. It was stuck in the same place for about 5 minutes before running out of battery and landing in the bay about 30 yards from shore but hopefully they will comp me a new one since it’s another equipment failure and I have more accessories than the cost of the spark.

Horrible Customer Service. I received the Mavic Pro w/the Goggles & Combo pack w/3 batteries on a Friday. On Monday I reported that 1 of the 3 batteries wouldn't accept a charge. I spent 45 minutes in an online chat (be sure to copy any chat w/them as they don't provide an option to email it or otherwise preserve it) stating at the outset of the chat it was a gift. DJI wanted a photo/video/sn etc. I jumped through every hoop they asked of me and at the end of the chat, refused to replace the battery w/o a proof of purchase. Never mind that it was a gift. I'd already joined their express service club by paying the $99/yr fee. Not good enuf for DJI. 6 weeks later and still no battery. If you have an option buy a drone from ANYONE but DJI. It's no wonder they've earned 2 out of five stars.

Horrifying customer service & UNRELIABLE App. Just purchased my Mavic Air. Tried completing the setup process on the app with my drone and the remote but the app continuously crashes. I cleared my cache, deleted and reinstalled the app as suggested and yet no changes, it still crashes... The app works fine when it’s not connected to the remote or drone but the moment you try to sync everything up all hell breaks loose. Customer service is a complete joke. The rep I spoke to said he didn’t understand English well (made sure to double check that I called the right number; which I did) and when I asked to speak with his supervisor he finally spoke clear English and said she’d tell me the exact same thing he did, which was that I needed to wait for the newest update release of the app and that no one had a solution. Then he said “We can’t help you” and hung up. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER dude! Paid almost $1,300 for a drone I can’t even fly. Talk about an expensive paperweight. DJI, you need to respond ASAP! This is unacceptable-

Doesn’t always work correctly. The app was amazing for the first few flights then it stopped loading. I lost some really cool stuff when I had to delete the app w reinstall. It again worked for a while, then it quit loading video into the app. I cleared the cashe and that worked. But only some of the videos loaded. So, again no video editing. Even some of the photos don’t show up on the app. When it worked properly it would shoot to the SD card, and send to the app and my phone. But no more. I have to download from the as card. Becoming very frustrating.

Don’t ever buy a DJI Drone. I was excited to start using my drone when it dropped out of the sky, this was my third flight and I was using it safely. Thinking I may have missed a update I refreshed and updated my drone and used it again. Having 5 flights and getting more confident in my own ability I took it out on a fishing trip. All I can say is right after taking one (the last picture) the drone shortly dropped! Going 60 feet down never to be seen again. I would urge everyone that they may want a drone to look at all other companies, and only buy a DJI if you Want to be disappointed! Waste of my money. Don’t waste yours. To DJI please feel free to email me if you think this is inaccurate I would love to show you the last picture and give you my drones gps record. Again I was flying not doing any crazy just a straight line to a drop out of the sky

Joe Brooks-Kahn. This app is good, it’s easy to navigate and see other creators’ work which is very cool. It’s nice to have the sort of social media aspect to the app as well as the hardware aspect. The video transmission can be unreliable at times but that seems to only be based on the WiFi link to the drone through the remote. However, this app is terrible to fly you’re drone with! If you have a Mavic of Spark BUY A CONTROLLER! It will help make sure you don’t loose your drone and greatly increase it’s range. The app is also very persistent with its pop up warnings which can get annoying. It seems that I’m always in an “Airport with Unpaved Runways Zone,” (I also fly planes a plane at the local airport and know this isn’t true). My only other criticism is that these frequent warnings take up a lot of the viewing area of the screen. But otherwise, it’s a good app.

When in flight iPad mini 4 live footage cuts off all the time. I been flying for 2 years or more also have 70 plus hours flying and I started off with phantom 3 standard, crashed it human error, but never had a problem with that drone or app. I bought the phantom 4 and use an iPad mini 4, well my live feed keeps cutting out after the first upgrade. Never done it the first 2 weeks I owned the p4 using the same iPad mini 4. Now it cuts off or glitch’s all through the flight. I’ve changed cords etc... u name it, I’ve done it and still the same problem. They worry about the mavics and the other little drones they make instead of the ones that made them who they are today(phantoms) they sure need to start taking care of the phantoms and their problems. Spend more time on the phantoms so they to won’t have an issue or issues. Other than the live feed glitches it has been a pleasure flying!!

Two years of successful flights. It seems as though pilots are either all-in or all-out on this app. I’ve found it to work quite well! I’ve been flying my DJI Mavic Pro 1 for over two years, and we’ve safely landed each time so far. There have been some situations in terms of communication interference with the remote and the drone, or with the drone’s camera flipping in weird directions (even though it was still fully in control). Those issues were circumstantial and not app related. When I first started flying, there were a few occasions where I lost connection to the app. That was scary as visual would drop out, but that has not been an issue in quite sometime. “Return to Home” on the remote is a savior at that point, and it’s important to maintain safe flying practices, like visual line of sight, to bring the drone home safely.

Great app but a few flaws. This app is unbelievable. The technology is amazing! Unfortunately, it was super disappointing at first. Right off the bat it says to scan the box but it doesn’t work. Everything I read while trying to solve the problem said it doesn’t work for anyone. I was so excited to get a drone but then was put through hell trying to set everything up because it didn’t scan. The other complaint keeping me from giving it five stars is that the pop up messages/warnings keep popping up over and over again distracting me from flying. This seems like a safety hazard. For example, a message pops up on the screen and tells me I am flying in a particular zone. I hit “X” to make it go away but then it pops up again seconds later, then again and again and again. I was five miles from a heliport but I did call them so stop nagging me. Everything else works awesome!

Terrible software. As good as the DJI hardware is, that is how bad this software is. The company seems more interested in satisfying their lawyers and appeasing their regulators than they in satisfying their customers. I frequently use 50-75% of the first battery just responding to the various warnings, updates, recalibrations, and other CYA messages. Today, I got something that asked me to agree to take full responsibility for my flight. It appeared as a window that blocked my view of where I was flying and the button that dismissed it wouldn't go away even if a scrolled through the entire agreement. The kicker was that it still allowed me to take off (without signing the agreement and without being able to see where I was going!). That's how bad this has gotten. At this point, I wouldn't recommend anybody buying a DJI done until the software to fly it is usable.

Love the drone, hate the app. The spark is amazing. Best drone ever. App for spark? The textbook definition of buggy. This app is really cool I love the editing options and skypixel, but the bugs make it unbearable. Examples? Can’t watch random videos on Skypixel. When I download the vid I made with my phone it runs at basically 5 frames a second. Then when I exit the app to see if it’s my phone’s issue, it restarts the app and doesn’t save my 2 hours worth of work. I saved and exited the vid I just made, then reopened it to see if it saved. And of course it didn’t. I made the same vid over and over again 5 times. And each time, when I reopened the app after trying different things to get the vid to not run so terribly, it erased all my work. I’ve had my spark for 3 years and the app hasn’t done the vid bugs until now. The skypixel thing has always been a minor annoyance, but loosing 2 hours work not once, but 5 times??. Please fix DJI. Update: Just purchased a new iPhone XS thinking my old 6s was the problem. Turns out that nope, it is the app.

App feels like a beta. I just spent sooooo much money on this drone and I want to get good footage while traveling in Asia. But the app is terrible. I don’t feel comfortable flying it getting the shots I want!!!!!! First I can’t seem to change my settings without the drone on. Which waste my battery, as I have to play around in the menu for 4 minutes before or while flying. And the setting seem to randomly change and aren’t the same when I come back to the app. But the worst is the app constantly is crashing!!!!! Recently I haven’t been able to keep it open for more than 20 seconds. And sometimes it won’t flip over on the phone so I’m stuck flying home with no battery, upside down, under exposed, WITH NO USABLE FOOTAGE!!!!! DJI, People are paying good money for your products this includes the app needed to fly it, so get on it. I hope to update it before I leave for my trip. Ughhhhh

I fly my Mavic without the app now. Ever since DJI imposed restrictions, I can’t fly with the apps I like and there are too many restrictions. Only fly while online? What the hell is this? I fly in National Forests where it’s allowed but has no internet connection! What about everyone with an iPad? And don’t even think about making us choose where we’re going to fly, I might drive 100 miles into the mountains and not know where I’ll fly until I make the decision! I spent $1000 plus more in accessories, as did everyone else, to fly a drone, not a brick. If you’d like to begin removing our ability to fly freely, please give us a large portion of our money back, because for the lack of features that I now have, I never would’ve bought the Mavic Pro. Also to clarify, for anyone not frustrated or understanding this, even when I’m not legally in an NFZ, it won’t let me take off, sometimes the gps thinks I’m 30 miles from where I actually am, still offline. DJI is a total disaster, sadly, so are drone laws. Currently drones are in a rough spot, and if they pause and come back they’ll lose their market share. But at the very least they need to make you sigh something with your finger to say you accept liabilities or whatever as a bypass if the app thinks you’re trying to fly in an area you’re not supposed to be in. Also they should allow ATCs to force land or fly the drone back

Plea for better simulator!. Hi, I’m hoping by writing this review I can get through the app developer. I have been waiting for for first person view perspectives while using the “simulator” on the app its 2019. I have spent 100+ hours flying. Please add a First Person View on simulator so the user can get use to the control. There are times where I take a break from flying and often forget the fine controls of the drone. By adding FPV on the simulator your not only giving a chance the user to learn how to fly safely, but responsibly. There should be course where the app trains you on how to be a responsible drone pilot just like in real life. DJI a huge company, be part of the solution on how to train new drone pilots. I’m hoping that this review can bring to light on what’s wrong with new drone pilots and that can cause avid users like me to loose the ability to fly because so idiot decides to be irresponsible. Thank You

Reliable After Over a Year but one hugeee issue...... I bought a DJI spark in august of 2019 and ever since I’ve never really had any bug issues with the app. Maybe crashed once or twice ever but other than that, with my iPhone XR, it has worked quite well. But no fly zones, don’t get me started. You see rants about them everywhere and I can understand why. Hate to bash DJI but in what right mind should a drone be able to take off with GPS connected, be seemingly no where near an NFZ on any map, then be flying out over a lake around 100 yards away from takeoff and suddenly claim I’m flying in an NFZ. I Almsot lost my drone that day, completely lost GPS and live camera feed, barely made it back using just line of sight. I just don’t get it man. It’s one thing if No Fly Zones are announced prior to take off but you really think practically disabling my drone out of nowhere is going to prevent the catastrophic event of my aircraft hitting a plane 100 feet off the ground? Lol you gotta to be crazy if this is the only alternative DJI and the FAA can think of. THERE MUST BE A MIDDLE GROUND. Some NFZ are so ridiculous, I lived nearly 35 miles away from Newark airport when this event took place, shouldn’t there be a hight limit or some sort of compromise where we can fly freely in reasonable areas? Please DJI if you see this, do something about it, it’s a serious issue faced by a majority of DJI product users and I hate to practically see my money go to waste. Thanks, Jerry

Drone went crazy after update. I was having connectivity issues between my phone and the controller. I went to the updates and saw that Mavic needed to be updated, so I updated the app. When I reopened the app, my camera connected and everything looked great. I lifted off and everything was going fine... got up to about 75 feet, was shooting some video, then all of a sudden, the drone started spinning around uncontrollably. I tried to correct it which I had very little control over, but I did not want it to fall into a neighbors house. I was able to control it just a little but then it came crashing down. Needless to say, the drone crashed and was completely destroyed as it ended up in the pool after hitting the edge of the spa. The drone was working perfectly fine up to that point but it wasn’t until I updated the app that this issue happened. I’m curious as to what Mavic is going to say about this...? More than likely, user error.

Runs seamlessly.. I can only imagine how much programming goes into this app. It’s gotta be a mammoth amount. And also to make it user friendly, clean, and run so smoothly all while running live feed from a drone however many meters, yards, feet away is absolutely incredible. I have never had any problems with it. I use it with spark just the phone, and with the RC. I just wanna shout out to DJI that I am so grateful for there AWESOME products and this amazing app to go with it. You guys have made so much more possible. Thank you DJI. P.S. to the one star reviewers, please revaluate your reviews..you’re giving this a app, a bad wrap.

As good or better than Litchi. Was really disappointed with the Go 4 app when it came out, but I guess the program writers at DJI finally came out of their comma and produced an app that works well with my P4P V2. Litchi has been my go to app up until this update came out. I think it is now better than Litchi. It has not crashed once on my iphone 8 plus or iPad. Most all of the features work well and it is a joy to use now. There are some things I have frustrations with, but until I test it further I will refrain from pointing out as it may just be me. Good job DJI, keep supporting your customers.

DO NOT UPDATE! DJI is forcing.... UPDATED REVIEW: Now DJI is making users agree to a new agreement before the app can be used. The problem? THERES NO PLACE TO CLICK ON “I agree”! This is absolutely ridiculous with the constant updates with major flaws that prevent users from flying their overly expensive drones. Thanks DJI for taking the fun out of flying!!! 🖕 ...it’s customers to suddenly register their drones in order to use the app! Yesterday, no registration was needed but today it is. Their customer service admits to the policy change. I bought my drone two months ago so can no longer return it. If would have known that DJI would force me to surrender my privacy, there is NO WAY that I would have shelled over $1000 for their toy. Absolutely furious over this sudden and forced policy change.

Dji Go4. The app is ok as functionality goes. But there is no explicit warning (I should say directive) that if using a phone device, to put the phone in Airplane Mode. At a crucial moment between and under trees, I received a call, and the next moment was disconnected from the drone and did not have any more control. It proceeded to do what it is supposed to do and return home, with trees and branches over it and started colliding with the cover above it. It continued to crash into branches and twigs until one blade snapped and then it was game over. Fortunately for me it was just the blades damaged and not the entire drone. dji make this a serious warning like txting and driving! Phone calls disconnect the app from the drone and you lose all ability to control it. A very helpless feeling!

Best Drones. I’m still in my first year of flying Drones and yes like many other people I started with the less expensive drones on the market. After purchasing 5 other companies Drones I purchased y 1st DJI mavic 2 zoom. I feel in love 😍 1st flight. The are may extra features on DJI verse the others I purchased my favorite extra feature or the sensors all around the Drone that prevents crashing into objects. My wife decided to by me a spark to also go with my collection. I also feel in love 🥰 with it also. The reason why I love ❤️ both is they both have there on unique features. I love the spark being Abe to fly in close quarters, the Mavic 2 long flight availability. As a matter of fact I’m looking forward to the new mavic mini that’s will be hitting the market any day ( done ask Santa for one under the tree 🌲).

Definitely happy. I’ve had my drone for a few months now and have had zero issues with the app. My only problem is with the simulation mode. I’d like to be able to practice without having to turn on the actual drone. I mean, what’s the point? Other drone apps have very different controls, so that makes them irrelevant for me. But they have great courses and game play. I’d like to see DJI give us different flight modes and obstacles so that we can practice navigating around virtual things, instead of subjecting my new drone to real damage. After all, one battery lasts for a whopping 15 minutes, when in reality you need multiple hours to get comfortable. Anyway, I’m otherwise super happy with the app, haven’t had any crashes or glitches of any kind yet. I flew it out of range once(didn’t have controller yet), but that was my own problem. Connectivity hasn’t been an issue, despite flying in a densely populated city with plenty of interference.

Had been working fine for close too 120 flights. Then all of a sudden with out having done any updates or hanging anything the app just constantly crashes mid flight like many times. This is not an isolated problem to my device because my friend has a mavic and his started and is still doing the same now also!! Fix the app DJI THIS IS A JOKE!

So far so good!. I’ve owned my Mavic Air for over a month now and the app works really well! Everything works just as it should and I haven’t had any connectivity issues or crashing. I have some dislikes though that make working remotely hard to do without extra work. Firstly I have been unable to export RAW files from my drone through the app. I’m not sure if this is something that is being planned for release or not but the new iPhones are quite capable of handling RAW/DNG files. My second issue is that there is no notification system when an update is required. The only way to know if a firmware is available is if I connect my drone. It would be great to be notified straight away when any new firmware updates become available so that I can update it well in advance before flying.

Seriously fix your app!. I’ve been patiently waiting for their developers to fix the app that is constantly crashing for 3 years. How hard is it to invest some dev time to get this more stable as it’s the only interface between a user and their Carly investment? Constantly crashes when editing videos and often crashes even when simply loading the app. Even a force restart doesn’t work.

Incredible software. The software DJI has provided with the Mavic Pro is simply outstanding. On my iPhone I’ve never had it crash on me, and the abilities it has are beyond what I’d expect of a hobby drone. DJI has done an amazing job with this app, to allow flights and filming to be done effortlessly.

Mavic pro 2. Such an amazing little professional toy. Precision sensors, Hasselblat 4K camera. Have had not one ounce of trouble with firmware or software. Runs like a charm. With additional lens filters I get some amazing snaps! Even put a DJI decal on the rear window of my VW. Thanks DJI. Any words from DJI about next generation drones we can expect? Inspire 3? Phantom 5? Mavic Pro 3? - Drone Planet.

App crash. It's been crashing all the time since yesterday I updated to latest app.. I have to fly blind as I cannot see the live view from the app, I need to restart the app every few seconds while my mavic is still in the middle of air! DJI please fix!! I don't need fancy editor, I don't need file transfer! I just need a basic live view working properly!! It was working perfect before!! You've added too many unnecessary features!!

Bad software for expensive drone. I’ve had my DJI spark little over a year. Every time when I start to use the drone it needs an upgrade. Then I have to switch from my iPad(wifi only) to iPhone to upgrade the thing as upgrade through OTG is not possible. I’m not sure why that USB in controller does nothing except charging. Useless device. Do not recommend to anyone. Waiting to get rid of this.

Awesome Hardware. Updates So So. So hard to write anything negative about the Mavic and the DJI team as this is a great oiece of gear. But so often the Firmware updates take some major gloss of the experience. They take ages, always show up when you dont want them and often come with bugs. Please DJI dont force the updates on us, make sure they are working before launch and is there anything that can be done to speed them up. I had 4 gos yesterday, 40 mins on each only to be told update failed. When this element is sorted we will have the best product ever.

Still Crashes After Latest Update. Had great success with this app for about 2 months with no issues until a day ago when it started constantly crashing. Started crashing while in flight then while stitching a pano. Latest update has not resolved the issue. Unfortunately unless a re-install solves the problem, Sparkie will be permanently grounded until DJI fix the issue. Not writing this review to complain, no one can get everything right all the time. It’s just a realistic update of what’s happened at my end. Update: Re-installed the software and it stopped crashing constantly. But still crashing when stitching panos which I was thinking was going to be fixed. Upart from having no access to panos was going ok until it was grounded again due to requiring another update! Download the update no issues, try and start the update after downloading and it never gets over 0% before crashing every time!!! Can’t fly because I need to update, can’t update because it keeps crashing. In my opinion it’s an absolute joke given it’s $1000 brick until DJI fix this never ending issue. I feel sorry for anyone who is trying to use their drones for business. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a class action on the way.

Good but be careful of updates. Just updated to a Mavic Pro Platinum from a Phantom 3. Old drone was working but every time the app or the firmware was updated drone would become more unstable until eventually I could fly it but couldn’t get an image on my screen anymore. Seems to be a common problem with DJI updates, which makes me wonder if they do it on purpose to get everyone to buy a new drone. My advice is that if you install this app and update your drones firmware and everything is working fine then NEVER do another update. Turn off automatic updates on your device and hopefully your drone will continue working for years to come.

You guys need test your apps releases.. The number of updates is becoming ridiculous. DJI needs to spend more time beta testing their software before release. I think people would prefer to have stable working software rather than new features four times a month - particularly as these features tend to come at the cost of a usable package. Yes, the software is good but unfortunately it’s not really getting better because of the mounting number of new problems being introduced. It would be better to hang back and do major releases. Yes, of course we would like bugs fixed. But slow the release cycle and make good well tested software.

Same problem for me crash after update. Same problem for me with my Mavic pro who was absolutly great until. I made the. Latest update....... Suddenly it seems completely out of control..... amazing ,never before.I contacted immediately DJI who the day after sent me a way to reset and relink my drone mavic! It. Took me 1h and half to do so......then. It flight again very well ! Thanks DJI for thee great suupport, but not the good update for sure! I just hope that the next update will not make my great Mavic crazy!! Charles ( Sydney)

Just over a year to the day - STOPS working. Have had a flawless experience with the Magic Pro for just over a year to the day. Went for a flight today, no hiccups. Went to restart the app, won’t even start. Can’t open the app at all to view last images and footage taken. Can’t open app to take a new flight. Didn’t update or a thing in between, just was working one minute then instant brick. We are on holidays in a lovely area to take family holiday footage and photos. After reading all of the reviews with the same issues, it appears DJI are not interested in trying to fix the app. Not impressed. Any other AUSTRALIAN company that would behave this way would be issuing full refunds under consumer law. Best be getting all of these broken birds flying soon DJI or the media will destroy your brand!

DJI UAV APPS. Top apps from a top team, regular updates and problems quickly solved. Application to record flight data upload images and video and control your uav.

Fixed!! Clear video cache. update to 11.2 iOS & latest firmware updates (I ended up using desktop DJI Assistant 2 because app crashing too much to update) ALSO you need to MANUALLY clear video cache to fix the app crashing!! I think the Spark is awesome & packed with so many features.

Worst App. Possibly one of the worst supported apps there is. When is you buy such an expensive machine, you need the company to be working twice as hard getting their app correct and ensure it’s compatible with most phones. I have an iPhone X with the most updated software and spent the first 3 days just looking at why my app kept crashing. There shouldn’t be a need for me to do this if I have invested this much money into your product. I have to now quickly log on to the app and I have ten seconds to take off (because the app doesn’t crash when the drone actually flies) and as soon as the flight is done, it crashes. Fix this guys!

Good app...when it works. Great, feature rich app, the perfect companion to any drone hobbyist. Unfortunately though, after the latest update the app continually crashes, even when I’m not connected to the drone and reading manuals. The crashing is particularly annoying mid-flight as it diminishes the value proposition since modes like gesture are enabled via the app, when it crashes the chosen mode (I.e. guesture) stops as well, video recording etc is the same. Need to get this fixed DJI!

Update your iOS!. At first, I was a little disheartened by the constant app crashes. This was resolved immediately after updating my iPhone OS. The dev team have done a phenomenal job with this app, the low rating is unjustified. Remember to keep all of your gear updated, DJI isn’t responsible for your iPhone running an ancient OS!

This app is great buttt!!!!!. This app has worked great for me but the only issue I have come across is the app crashing I think dji will fix this and dji if you see this please try to make this app stop crashing when I fly my DJI Spark. Thanks 😁😁

Shut up people. Awesome app & unbelievable drone. Never ever have I had a problem with this technology. I have to say good bye hubsan my friends , fantastic for beginners but the mavic platinum is an experience I will never forget . Keep up the good work DJI. 👍

Working fine. Has worked perfectly for me with no problems

In flight information. To have the ability to overlay singular or several of the in flight information references when creating the film would make it a lot easier to explain the film's depth. Explaining what is actually being achieved can take a lot of time.

Software. Really smart system, very happy with it. I don’t think I’ll ever use all it’s features! I would however like to be able to update the software over cellular instead of only wifi. This could be an apple thing.

What a joke. DJI BRINGS the life of a party together,, brings the technology to us to fly our drones and capture some amazing photos and videos all around t( world .. Yet the seem to fail majorly in the app development area. The one bit that makes the drone function and for users to use to fly. Yet they can’t seem to maintain the same excitement for the drone as the app that actually makes the the thing work. FIRE YOUR APP DEVELOPERS AND HIRE NEW ONES THAT CAN ACTUALLY MAKE THE APP WORK AS INTENDED AND END THIS dropping out, crashing BS

So much potential just need to fix crashes.. I haven’t had too much trouble during flight in app but editing it just crashes constantly. Great editing software just needs to be more stable. I would give 5 stars if no crashes. 3 for now.

Latest update is a disaster!. After 8 months of near perfect flying with a P4P and iPad the latest update and iOS11 is a complete disaster. Basically flying blind with sporadic to little video feed, greened out screen and multiple app crashes during the flight. As an important part of my photography business I am not sure if I have complete confidence in this equipment any more. Please DJI fix this app ASAP and restore some confidence in your products.

Great app but audio SETTINGS option needed. DJI if you’re listening, in the editor mode can you please add an audio settings where you can turn the MUSIC OFF as a default choice. Having to go in every time and turn the music off is a PAIN.

Overall, ok, kinda.. Mostly fine when flying. Some freezes here and there in the air with spark but mostly good. An unbelievable amount of app crashes and problems with the editor. When it actually works, lots of fun and great videos... But mostly just crashes or stalls and needs resetting. Lots of work to be done on what is a good feature.

Overheating issues. So up until the last update Everything has been pretty Smooth. So after the latest update and running a m200 and a iPad Pro 10.5 I’m Having overhearing issues every 8-10 min like clockwork. The only way to fix it it it is to put the iPad Pro in the fridge until it cools down enough to become functional again. But alas after 8-10 min use it overheats and shuts down. Please dji what the hell is going on. Not a happy pilot!!!!!!!!!

App problems on the Osmo and Mavic. Both my DJI Osmo and my DJI Mavic cause my no end of stress, especially when on location with clients and I open the app to learn that it needs updating which can not be done unless connected to the internet. Also I am having problems with the app crashing out when I launch the Mavic causing me to have to land and reset the device only to have it happen again. I have had to cancel both my planed shoots and use an alternative device. Love both the drone and the Osmo hate the app on both devices please fix these issues ASAP!!! Thanks

App crashed during video editing. Gimbal works a treat as hardware but the app couldn’t complement the usefulness as the software. I didn’t automatically save all my videos and photos to iPhone which meant that when app crashed (during editing), I could recover data despite refreshing the app. Waiting for new update. Please use original iPhone photo app rather than this app.

Amazing app. I’ve been flying a phantom 4 pro for 8 months using this app running on an iPad Pro and it has been flawless. I’ve done all the upgrades as necessary and never had any issues. I have had problems with the gimbal on the drone but that was not the software.

Dji 4 apps crashes and stall on Iphone X. I’ve using this apps with my Iphone 6s plus and never it stalled and crashed whenever I would fly my dji mavic pro. Then I upgraded to Iphone X and just today I didn’t get the chance to fly my dji mavic pro here in my hometown in the Philippines due to its continuously stalling, I even restart my Iphone X several times but still no success. You can’t use the IPhone X to monitor the video when flying. I hope this upgrade will fixed the stalling problem that I’m having.

Improving. The app is improving thankfully, it’s had a few issues with updates that caused a few issues. Let’s hope testing and improvements continue to make this even better and more reliable

Good app but stacks up storage space over time. The user experience is well delivered and works seamlessly with your DJI drone. However the app by default saves the videos and photos you take on both your SD card(original res) and your device.

Not impressed. I’ve had my Mavic Pro for 6 months just about and I’ve had no issues. The app and drone have worked as expected. Recently however I can’t seem to have the app open for more than a minute without it crashing. I was flying over water on the Sunday just gone and the app crashed. Not what you want to happen when your $2300 drone is flying above the ocean. I’ve tried updating the firmware today and the app can’t even handle that. It downloads 20% and crashes. It’s extremely disappointing that I’ve brought the drone 3,000km from home on holidays and it’s useless. I just tried to speak to someone on DJI’s online support and that’s also unavailable. Needless to say I’m not impressed. You’d hope that when you’re spending thousands on something that the manufactures can sort out the issues with minimal delay. Now to sit back and wait with my useless brick to see if it will be fixed.

Give the dev team a break!. The latest iOS 11.1 seems to cause some connection issues. Give DJI a chance to fix before giving them 1 star. I’d still give it 5 star for the amazing app it is. Looking forward to a fix soon. Keep up the good work guys.

App continually crashes. Running the app on my ipad mini 2 and the video feed no longer refreshes the page fully - only about 1/3 page then it tries to refresh. A message popped up saying CPU usage was at maximum. Rebooted the ipad and same problem. App was unusable. Then I tried on my iphone 6S. It worked fine for one flight then started crashing every 60 seconds. Video feed was fine but it constantly crashed, I’d restart then it would go another 60 seconds before crashing again. I rebooted the iphone and had the same result. So annoying and frustrating! Previous versions worked fine, now my Phantom 4 Pro is unusable! It’s only 6 months old, so I am going to return it for a refund! Come on DJI, get your software working!

Amazing app when it works.. I’m struggling to keep it running , it is constantly crashing on iPhone 6S plus, with latest IOS. The app was updated recently for iPhone X and since then it is constantly crashing after about 30 seconds being open and all the information uploaded to the drone is lost. Cannot fly the drone as once it’s in the air I lose the app, The only way I get it to work is by reinstalling the app and logging on back again to DJI, Please fix this problem as it’s affecting the my ability to use the SPARK. Other than that, the app has tons of practical user and customisable features, and plenty of safety features to bring the drone back if all fails once the home point is setup period to take off. Use the remote and tat way you have a redundancy in case the app crashes. That way you can bring the drone back safely .

App constantly crashing. I’ve had a mavic pro for about 5 months now and at the start the app worked perfectly but for a few months now the app crashes while the drones in the air. It’s a bit scary when you’ve got an expensive drone just hovering and you can’t see what’s going on. This also has affected recording videos as for me eager it crashes I lose my recording which is really annoying. Hopeful this gets fixed as soon as possible.

Too many buggy features. For the most part this app works with my Mavic Air as a good view finder but most of its other features like the editing features are so buggy and feel very poorly done. Using it just as a controller seems stable but for anything more it is just not a good experience.

Still crashes and delay time.. I had no issue previously in the past but now every time I open the app it crashes half way when I’m in the air. I’ve updated the firmware and reopen the app and it does the same things thing again. Also video feed coming through my mini iPad so very delay and sometimes it doesn’t respond. You expect that an expensive mavic pro will have a reliable and sufficient program to smoothly fly your drone but it’s not. Very disappointing and hopefully they can sort out the issue or I’ll just refund my drone.

iPhone X with 4.1.18 dji go app. Hey guys I love your products. But when I try and view my video the app crashes. Also the app will crash mid flight. I’m sure it’s a simple update my analytics are on so I hope you get the crash report data. Kind regards :)

Would be a great app if it worked!. App cuts out every time it is opened - usually within a minute. This is often mid flight, or even trying to report the problem. Please update the app. This is expensive and redundant equipment otherwise. I have the latest version of the app available on the Apple App Store, with iPhone 6 (iOS 11.2), and all firmware for the controller and drone updated. I have also deleted and reinstalled the app.

Spent over 50k on Dji products. Great product when it works but 80 percent of the time it never works consistently. Being the ronin 2 or dj inspire 2 or even the m600 we just have problems on every film shoot. The best experience we had was with the phantom 3 which worked every time but as for their professional level products they are completely unreliable. We have put our DJI products for sale and can’t even get 50 percent of what we paid for it.

Hope for better iPhone X optimisation. But otherwise it’s been working great without any crashes or issues. If I review this app for what it is (compared to another version of what it used to be as others have), I have to give it 5 stars. I honestly feel like I’m living in the future with both the mavic and this app coupled together. Not too long ago I was flying FPV rc planes, with shaky and low res footage. Now I’m recording and viewing HD, silky smooth footage with all the control at my fingertips

Great App. This app is perfect...except when it crashes. It always crashed with iPhone X. They FINALLY added compatibility with iPhone X. The X was released on 3rd November 2017 it took over 3 months to add compatibility. If the app hadn’t crashed so many times when I was using my drone on holidays overseas then I would give this app a 4-5 star rating....however do to constant crashing when I was recording, it really ruined the experience and the footage. Footage recorded on the Mavic was fine however when the app crashed you wouldn’t be able to see what the drone was seeing. Hopefully this update fixes issues for iPhone X. No other issues with this app.

App crashing. Just and update on the crashing: Fixed if you do the following... IOS = 11.2.1 DJI4 = 4.1.18 Firmware = 1.4.1.0 No gripe with the app but I had to dig around in forums to find a resolution. Perhaps customer service could highlight issues and resolutions so people can be aware. Hey guys, have latest software for iPhone 6S, Mavic and firmware and the app is crashing after 30 seconds. Especially when reviewing a flight let video - 30 seconds in, no matter what video length or when taken. Also in flight video is dropped. Please fix. No new additional features required!!! Just get us back in the air

Pics along flight path. hi there, this app is good for me as I don’t know any others and find it easy to use, one thing I can not work out is when I go into my flight data and flight path I see the picture icons along my route but nothing I do will open them when I touch on them on flight path, they are in my pic folder and open in the bottom right vid icon on the app, no one on any forum has any idea either, this app would be 10/10 if I could get this to work somehow, any help would be much appreciated, love your work 😁

Does not work for 2021 iPad Pro 12.9”. App will not work with a new iPad Pro.

New update. Terrible experience

DJI drone app. Great app, use it on the iPhone and never had any issues with crashing or anything, works flawlessly

Editor doesn’t work since last update !. Editor doesn’t work since last update ! I don’t have access to my video, need my video ! When I clic on editor, the app freeze and reboot, again and again I can’t playback my video from my phone

Waypoints not for magic pro. Why have waypoints work where you don’t have to have the drone in flight for some products but not all? Looks bad on the company especially when apps like Litchi offer it for most.

Good app no problems. The app is great zero issues runs smooth the only issue I have is that DJI keeps discontinuing their good drones and replacing it with worst drones please stop if you’re seeing this dji please Bring back the Mavic two pro and the Mavic air 👍🙁

Error with new update. One updating my DJI Mavic 2 pro to the latest update with improvements to low battery usage, I can no longer access the camera view from the app! It does not connect

App is bot working. App is not working it stop sudenly I dropt my drone, after that I tried lost off time but app is not opening (I cant start even I deleted and download again same thinkg it is not working ).

Won’t open!. Since iOS 14 I can’t fly my drone. Over 2 months since the last update, not sure how you expect people to use your products if you don’t update them.

Can’t create an account!. Your app will not allow me to create an account!! So much for using it this weekend!! So disappointed.

Cannot register. What is going on? Try many times and cannot register. Please fixe!

Fine for what it does, but the app itself is buggy. Have to restart it half the time as the volume doesn’t work, won’t orientale even when I have the lock turned off. Those are my main complaints.

App crashes. Please update the app soon, this is unacceptable!

DJI SPARK. Très satisfait de mon drone !!

App crashing cant use my drone. Cannot use my drone anymore due to the app always crashing as soon as i open it. Tried reinstalling it still nothing! pathetic !!!

Doesn’t work with IOS14.2. Need a update !!! Please!

Poor start. App won’t allow me to create an account.

Please update. Lets goooooo UPDATE 🤬

What happen DJI!?. The drone need to be at on to do EVERYTHING in the app. And all the setting are too complicated, for a exemple for the two different type of light it’s a two different place !

Improve simulator. Your app is great and your Spark is also great, but please allow the simulator to run without the drone connected. Once, I got confused with the two and watched in horror when the drone lifted off in front of me when I still had 0 experience. Luckily, I managed to land it safely with my skills to just figure things out.

Deceptively easy yet very robust. I would recommend caution before flying a drone with this app. The app updates and when it does it's important you do all your preflight checks and calibrations in a safe area. Often times settings will change or move around so make sure everything is 100% before taking your drone for a flight. Read the manual and practice practice practice and this app will become a valuable tool. If you just take your drone out and assume it'll work every time you want to fly it, your chances of crashing will increase dramatically. There really is a LOT of options and trial and error is a quick way of crashing.

Mini 2. Not compatible with DGI mini 2

What a waste of time. This app won’t let me setup an account and only seems to be the only app for my Mavic Pro. Come on guys.

👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. It’s trash. I can’t even make a password

App crashing on launch. Drone is grounded. The app consistently crashes on launch with iOS 14. Please fix ASAP!!

Great app. Love taking aerial shots of my property.. I’m going to assume that most of the negative reviews are coming from amateur flies who are causing user error, which is suprising given that that DJI makes their equipment and software basically fool proof. As with any RC vehicle, you should always check to make sure all your calibrations are correct, and to ensure that the climate conditions allow flight anyway. Don’t just send your drone straight up to its maximum height range in the middle of a hurricane, obviously you’ll lose the drone and only have yourself to blame, not the app. Additionally, their drones do not require this app at all to fly. Unless you want GPS or to take photos or video, you can definitely fly your hardware without the app. All in all, I like the app because it’s working just fine for me. Never had an issue, and I also make sure everything is correct before heading for the skies, something that a lot of people here should do more often.

Doesn’t work. Tried to use it today and it does not work. It says it’s incompatible with my Mavic mini. DJI GO won’t work either keeps sending to DJI GO 4.0

Junk text now. Not connect iPhone in new OS fix it now or lawsuit coming

Not compatible with iOS 14.2. Keeps crashing while trying to open the app!!!!!

Simply Amazing , Very Easy To Use.. I don’t understand all the negative or bad reviews of this app, as a long time user I have never experienced any problems from registering to setting up my multiple drones over the years , The app itself has always worked flawlessly and never experienced any crashes while flying so if you are having trouble make sure that both your app is updated and the firmware on drone itself is kept up to date for fly free worries :)

Need repaired and after 3 request no answer from DJI for many try. Frank raw

Cant even register. Cant register

Having issue. Am having issue connect to remote to go share my video it’s don’t work it fail every time it says error no connection.. Also never been able to use the Bluetooth share option with iPhone why is that .. please fix these …

Truly amazing. I have never had a problem and have alway been abl3 to bring my drone. Home. Thank you for the great service

Everything is locked. Cannot fly anywhere, not my backyard not at the park. I paid 950 dollars and got my full drone licence but I still can't fly anywhere, the app has geolocked everything.

Crashes when opening. I get the splash screen then it crashes. Used to work up until now. Run it on an iPad with everything up to date. Guess i’m going to a competitor’s app unless this gets fixed soon.

Useless. Update your app and work with apple to make this useable. The drone keeps dropping signal and the view is 10 seconds behind if you get one at all. It worked just fine with the same phone two years ago. Now your app is incompatible with iOS to the point it’s dangerous to even try flying.

Garbage. After app update went for a flight, about 13 min into flight The controller started freaking out made the drone drop from 218 feet to 4 feet then forced the landing. $500 in parts later and I’m looking for a new app! Not impressed at all thanks DJI!! 🤬

Cant fly my drone anymore. Won’t open

Need alternatives.. Have had the app crash numerous times while flying the Mavric 2 Pro. I am now unable to open the app and it crashes at every attempt.

App not compatible with ios14. Since ios14 the application crashes at startup. My 2000$ is now useless. Please fix it !

Crashing on open iOS 14.2. Totally non functional at the moment

Constant updates and software crashes. Cannot connect remote controller because drone does not beep no matter how long I press the sync button. The DJI line has been a complete waste of money for my enterprise. Searching for new commercial solution from any company other than this hobby farm!

Done is grounded. App failed. Won’t be fixed. Got a $1000 paper weight

App Crushing. App keep crushing while try to open.

Keeps crashing when opening. Open the app Start up screen for few sec then it closes Tried it w phone plugged in to remote Without phone plugged to remote Multiple re boots on the phone

App keeps crashing. Kepps crashing on mavic air. Terrible

Portrait display mode for tablets required PLEASE!. I would have given it a 4 to 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that the app doesn’t have a portrait display mode, only landscape mode. The reason is that I would like to attach my iPad to the remote controller. The only way to do this is to rotate the iPad vertically and slide it into the remote controller’s extendable arms, which fits perfectly that way (although the rc cable that comes with the drone linking it to the iPad is too short by about 2 cms). Unfortunately, the display screen is now sideways. To rotate the entire contraption in order to view the iPad screen horizontally means that using the controller would be very awkward and the antennas would not be oriented properly anyway, therefore this method is impractical. Only solution for using a tablet attached to the controller is for DJI to update the app to offer a portrait mode selection.

Doesn’t work on ios 14,2. Please fix! Cant fly my drone!

What’s worse the app or customer service??. The app rarely works! This particular instance it’s been three straight weeks of no app access which means no flying access! What does DJI do??? Asks you to restart your phone Asks you what phone you’re using Asks you what software update you have on your phone What they actually do is nothing at all for the inconvenience and the time and the trouble and the money you spent to buy their product that you can’t even use! Absolute garbage!

A great drone to start. I was lucky to win a DJI Mavic Air in the summer of 2019. I had no prior experience flying a drone/UAS. As of today I have totaled 200 flights and 28 hours of flight time with that original DJI Mavic Air. I studied and past the FAA Unmanned Aircraft Pilot license and learned a great deal about aviation in the process. DJI makes a great drone and the application is easy to use once you acclimate yourself to the features. When the time comes to replace my DJI Mavic Air I will most certainly purchase a DJI product.

Works like a charm!. I recently bought my new Mavic Air drone from DJI and have been using the app for a while to either connect to the remote, or just fly the drone for fun with the app. Everything works great, and the app is perfect in my image. This app may have had issues before, but if you are having an issue, CONTACT DJI SUPPORT. Writing a bad review will only ruin experience for others, as they will try to pick a different company. (Almost happened to me). This application does everything it needs to and even more! I see improvements in the future and better ratings from those who know how to use it. For using the app, try reading every manual on the drone you have so that you aren’t making a mistake and blaming DJI. And as I said before, contact DJI support. Thank you DJI for the awesome drone, and the application.

Lots of features, long learning curve.. I’m still getting acquainted with the app (and my new Spark). Not ready to fly yet - I live in a restricted zone near a military base, and most of the County is in a restricted zone of some kind which will require unlocks of the app anywhere I fly. I haven’t found the base point of contact yet. The phone number in the FAA records and the AirMap app is not in Service. The Go 4 app is no help. I haven’t even tried the points of contact listed for other zones. If I ever do get approval to fly, I don’t see how to enter it in the Go 4 app to unlock it. And the app apparently must be connected to the RC and the Spark to do anything. That is a waste of time and battery power - you should be able to enter unlocks when preparing to fly just by opening the Go 4 app. Please consider allowing offline unlocks in a future Go 4 update!

Please fix the time issue while in flight. So I have a Mavic Pro 2 and have flown DJI drones for over 5 years. I enjoy the drone and the capabilities that I have at my disposal with the Mavic. However, since the update while flying the time displayed for remaining battery has a huge white spot over it. I cannot tell what the time is remaining. Although this isn’t a huge issue, it is one I’d like to see fixed. Thankfully I can follow the time line and realize when I need to return home. Please DJI fix the white spot that is over the time or tell me how I can fix it. Thanks.

Somebody needs to take this monopoly down. DJI gets progressively more powerful while simultaneously crappy. This is typical of companies who get to the point that they don’t have to care about the consumer. I urge all of you to try and shop elsewhere. Lots of people are getting out of drones completely because they are all big forced to deal with this company. Anyway the app. It’s full of bugs. Just use it. You will find some. Opening the geozone map is a joke. It usually takes me theee tries. The app is all over the place. No flow. It’s junk. Please start supporting other drone companies people. We are just getting fenced in by this terrible company

You think it would be better.... Spending 1000$ on the Mavic, of course I thought I would really enjoy flying my drone. From the start there has been issues with connecting the drone initially, over time the app has gotten significantly worse. Every update just brings more crashes and problems to the app, I have a brand new 7+ and I have to use my friends iPad just to fly because it will not let me record video. This is ridiculous DJI for spending so much money on a product and getting a bad service a long with it. You should design an app for each drone.

Great once you figure it out.. I like this app because it does everything I need it to. I fly the DJI Spark and have yet to experience a problem while in flight. I gave four out of five stars because while it does do what I need it to, setup took me a while because the directions it gives weren’t helpful/specific to my drone. I messed around with it until I figured it out on my own and now that everything is connected, I couldn’t be happier.

Can’t create an account in the app. Tap create account, fill in email and the CAPTCHA (and why on earth is there a CAPTCHA in an iOS app?), enter password twice, tap next, end up at the sign in screen with no account created. Makes the app pretty useless. Update: you have to enter (type) a weak password when creating the account - can’t copy/paste from your password manager, so all you hackers out there, DJI is your next target. Bumping my review up to 3 stars because although it’s painful to get set up and forces bad security, maybe flying the drone will be fun.

iPhone shuts down and battery drains quick. I just purchased a Mavic pro I went out to enjoy my first flight, but after about 2 minutes of flight my iPhone SE turns off and when I turn it back on the battery went from 80% to 10%. I went to my car, charge my phone again, after about 2 minutes same thing happened. I downloaded the update, that didn’t help. I am not sure if the app is not compatible with my iPhone SE. Please advise me what to do, I wanna go back flying.

Editor in the app is sketchy. Using the app to fly I had zero problems with but when in video mode my images on my brand new IPhone 7 Plus would lock up and freeze when the drone was only about 60 feet away. I was even using the controller with a direct cable from phone to the controller. So much of my videos turned out worthless. Then the editor section of this app will constantly fight against you when trying to build your video and will keep changing the animation for your video back to what it wants and not what you want. Very frustrating. When hitting complete on the video for saving, the video then turns very pixelated and sketchy.

Not Mature Enough Yet. To be fair, This app does do what it was intended to do— to connect the Mavic drone and manipulates it. However there are too many bugs existing in current version, and the stability is not quite there yet. e.g., it pushes the confirm responsibility window too often(more than once during single flight, whenever signal was poor) and sometimes the window itself got partially displayed when you switch hack&forth between apps. And the connection lost sometimes even when then signal is strong.

Great for the most part. It’s a great app other than a few bugs every now and then here and there. Sometimes it may crash other times I try to save my photos to my device and it won’t unless I go into onboard SD card and download from there. But for the most part very stable and reliable for me. Seems to be getting UI friendly with every update which is fantastic. I fly a minimum of 6-7 times a week so it’s important for the app to work correctly.

Easy to use, plenty of options. So far, no issues with the app. Maybe Im lucky, but Ive never had it crash or need to reload once its in use. Im flying the ever popular Mavic Pro. The editing program lacks some bells and whistles of some other post production software, but it more than suits my amateur needs. Run a decent filter and most issues can be cleaned up with the editor. Bottom line, it works well, and its free.

Spark drone goes into Atti mode. Dji should something about this. Today April 4, 2021. I took my dji spark drone out just to drain out and recharge the batteries for maintenance. While flying about 50ft high suddenly the drone went into ATTI Mode. I could hardly control the drone. I didn’t panic. Luckily the i was not flying too far out and the altitude was low. I guess the drone recovers the gps and i was able to control and bring back home slowly. I can’t believe up until now dji has not done any updates about this. This is just a simple fix. They should have had an update about this..that if the drone goes into ATTI Mode during flight, the drone should just hover until it’s connection recovers. DJI please fix this issue.

Class action lawsuit. There is nothing worse than being forced to update your firmware. Then drive four and a half hours to do a special shoot at a historical setting, perfect with the fall changing colors. Go to fly and your iPad mini shows disconnected. Nothing! I call tech support and they said they have a OS firmware problem. Gee, you don’t say. My drone worked the previous week before their genius update. I tried my iPhone 7 Plus. With that I got a Aircraft disconnected error but couldn’t do a thing. Then I drove four and a half hours back home with nothing for my efforts. He I am two weeks and I can’t use my aircraft. This is a SUPER WTH! Who do I send the class action lawsuit to?

App Keeps Crashing!!. The original DJI Go app worked great, I never had any issues with it and my Phantom 3. I upgraded to the Phantom 4 recently, so then I had to download the DJI Go 4 app. It’s easy to use and has some great features, but it crashes every two minutes. This is extremely frustrating when I am flying high or far and I lose the shot. Even when my drone is disconnected or I am in the sim, it continues to crash. This is also dangerous if my drone is beyond line of sight and I can’t tell where it is and it’s orientation. I’ve noticed that the app usually likes to crash during takeoff or landing, but especially while I am in the simulator. Please fix.

Unsatisfactory app upload.. I loaded my Phantom up and headed to the mountains for some back packing and picture taking. Thinking that I last used my phantom and everything was fine. Charged the batteries and headed out. Got up the my favorite place and pull out the drone to find out I needed a software update and had to have Wi-Fi for the update. It would not let me back out and use the old software. It’s probably my fault as I am not the techiest person. I was so mad I could have broken the dang drone. I waited weeks to visit this place and had no drone footage to show for it. Luckily I love the outdoors enough that I still had a great time despite DJI sucking! They don’t care though. It’s all about money and marketing at this point. RAKKASAN OUT!

iOS 11. Update 11/18 - flew with the iPad mini 2 with no issues. Had a persistent warning about radio interference on 2.4 GHz, but had no reception issues. Deleting and reinstalling the app was key to resolving random crashes. Changed from one star to four. Thanks DJI! Update 11/14 - deleted app, rebooted and reinstalled. Seems to have stopped random crashes but still getting a warning message when on 2.4GHz for interference. Previous review - This app is not compatible with iOS 11. Seems to work with 10.3.3. Upgrader beware, constantly crashed with iOS 11. Obviously no one tested this.

I’ve really had zero problems.. I have used this app for 6 months and 30hrs of flight with my mavic pro, I’ve used it on a 5s, 6s, and a 7 with zero real problems. Every once in awhile when I turn everything on the camera won’t connect, I just unplug the cable and plug it back in and it’s fine. I do agree about the forced firmware / software upgrades (while saying that, It’s been awhile sense the last time).. but I’m sure these are things that they are doing to keep the FAA happy.. I think soon enough a lot of the cheap drones are going to have to have the same restrictions or not sell in the us. Anyway, this has been a great purchase, the menus take some time to get used to, but over all I think it’s laid out well. Oh and the video editor is actually pretty good for a free app! Happy flying!

App Crashing. Update: DJI just fixed the issue that was making the app crash when connected to a network (LTE or WiFi) on iOS 13.2.2 now the app works like it should. Original Review: I literally just got a Mavic Air and I can’t even finish setting it up because the app crashes every time I open it. Using an iPhone XS Max and the latest iOS 13.2.2. Please fix the app, otherwise the only way is to return the aircraft for a refund. Please fix the app and I’ll happy to update this review.

Waypoints. Any reason this app isn’t supporting waypoints for Mavic Air yet? Seems like it would be a pretty legit update at this point as DJI essentially left the Air in the dark in order to push out the release of the Mavic Pro 2. For what people have invested in this drone it’s not far off from the pro series which supports waypoints. I could see if you didn’t want to support it for Spark or entry level drones but I can’t help but feel like Mavic Air pilots got a little shafted in this sense.

App Crashes Every 1-2 minutes. I just got my brand new Spark today and got it all setup properly. I went outside to fly with my phone connected to the remote controller by an otg cable(I am using a stock apple charger with the DJI Googles connector). I got up to about 50 feet and took some photos but the app crashed and I started freaking out because I didn’t know if my drone was going to fall out of the sky. Luckily it didn’t because if the drone loses connection it just hovers in place. This app crashing thing is also a big issue because i tried to post a picture on the Skypixel thing and the app crashed right before I can even post. I would like to see a steady app please. Thanks.

Thank you DJI.. Dear DJI, Thank you for replacing my Phantom 4. A few years ago I flew it far out of sight and claimed to have connectivity issues. The drone was wrecked and I felt that I should have been refused insurance since it wasn’t in my sight and I was flying it far away. DJI I am grateful for your service. I am grateful for you and giving me the opportunity to fly again. Sincerely, Anthony Ivan McHenry Traverse City, Michigan

Perfect App for Phantom 4 Pro. This is the best app to go with for the phantom 4 pro. I hardly see any bugs and the video downlink is very strong and reliable. When my aircraft is far away I trust this app to get the aircraft back. I love the features of my drone like reverse tapfly and active track and, the one I love the most for group pictures, gesture mode. It would also be amazing if this app was made to fit the new iPad Pro screen.

Works fine. Don’t know what everyone’s problem is but I’m sure it’s your hardware or location that’s causing the problem. Everyone should try this it works amazingly. Read the directions for the mavic pro or whatever your flying. It will blow your mind all the things you should know and didn’t have a clue about. Not the apps fault. 99.9% user error. Truth hurts. Ok review edit. Like on April 25 I lost connection and lost compass and then gps also. Then lost connection and it flew away and lost it. Had no problem for over a year and don’t understand what’s the problem

Newest Update. Since the recent update to the app, the following bugs occurred. When flying with obstacle avoidance on, the drone stops suddenly when not near anything, as if there was an obstacle nearby. Some message about attitude comes up. Had happened on 5 separate occasions for no apparent reason. Only handled by turning obstacle avoidance off. There is a bug here!! Also on 2 different hyper lapse missions, once using course lock and another time using waypoints, the mission ended half way thru saying “synthesizing video” . The shots were incomplete. I had plenty of battery and plenty of room on the card. Definitely bugs here. DJI please resolve! Most annoying!

App recently started crashing- not safe to fly. Been using DJI products for some time, what bugs me is that the app updates by itself without any notice. So sometimes you go out to shoot and end up with unecessary bugs that limit the use of your platform. After the latest update, the app shuts off at random times. It used to be ocassional a few months back, but lately it has been crashing way too often now to a point where the aircraft is unusable. At least the updates wouldnt be automatic, so that i could update and deal with the bugs when im NOT using the drone. Very disappointed dji!

App Crashes. I just paid more than enough for one of your drones and the app crashes during flights, while viewing pics & videos, and while downloading pics and videos from the drone. I thoroughly annoyed with this version of the app and demand a better rebuild for the next one. Defeats the purpose of having a drone that could connect to your phone but doesn’t stay connected. I’ve deleted and downloaded more than once. The app crashes on iOS 11 and higher not working on the iPhone 6s of X. I’ve yet to attempt using my iPad mini but expect the same results. I’ll write a better review once you make a better product.

Can’t connect to my drone!!!. Edit: DJI has now fixed the connection issue for iPhone 8 Plus to Mavic Pro. Keeping at 3 stars for now due to the long time it took to make this app compatible with iPhone 8. Would be cautious upgrading to a new phone in the future if you have a moderate dependency on drones. ———- DJI, get your act together! I can’t connect to my Mavic Pro through this app. WiFi works but when connecting through the RC it constantly says disconnected. I tried multiple cords and it is definitely not the issue. The RC connects to the drone but the connection from the RC to the phone is not working. This is definitely a software issue. I’ve been wanting to take shots of the tress changing but this app has left me grounded. I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER... Oh yea, one more thing. Why in the world is support closed on the weekends!? That is unacceptable when I pay for DJI care. UPDATE 10/31: still can’t connect to my Mavic pro with the iPhone 8. Works fine with the iPhone 6S with identical OS.

One STAR too many. I’ve been using DJI products for a while. Love the products...I’m a Phantom, Mavic and Osmo + owner. I use my equipment for work. Over the last two weeks, I have never been so disappointed in a product. My GO apps crash when my drone is in the air...ALL the time (Most recently over the Atlantic Ocean)! I’ve spent easily 3K on drones from DJI. My GO app for my Osmo crashes ALL THE TIME...while filming. Do you know how frustrating it is to have roughly 4K worth of products, after being charged and updated, packed and traveled,,,to not work for more than a minute at a time without having to restart app and reconnect devices. I’m beyond frustrated and ready to start exploring other brands of these problems are not fixed very soon. -Concerned Consumer

App crashing. UPDATE: Fix this app Now or I am demanding my money back and returning this flightless $800+ (fly more + insurance + interest) item that you recently just discounted +$150++. Very embarrassing to show friends something you spent good money on and for it to crash every time and become unusable.. Version 4.1.20 on iPhone 6s with latest iOS. App will run normally for a few minutes and crash and go to home screen while in flight, during firmware download, video download etc. I have plenty of memory and updated due to previous app version crashing out of no where. Very frustrating because I cannot fly!!

Expensive jokes. The drone is too of the line their software is a joke. Written by a bunch of money hungry scammers. You can build your own app but I paid you $500 in my case many have paid much more and still get the same features pretty much the drone simulator is useless and the flight school is a bad joke the interface is intrusive the app can’t keep up with what’s going on and expected much more for my money next time I guess since I will have to do it my self I will do it all my self including build the drone and app. They should issue a partial refund for the scam they are trying to pull

Strong wireless interference now with new upgrade. Ever since I upgraded firmware, I get constant wireless interference and then remote disconnects from app though I still have connection to the drone. I thought it was because I was flying in a different state and near cellphone towers, but it he se issue happens now back in California. This never happened up the most recent firmware and app updates. Any way to revert back? This almost caused an accident on a recent flight due to the drone wanting to return home underneath some power lines.

Keeps crashing on iPhone X. Update: it has stopped crashing on my iPhone X and can fly pleasantly again This app crashes literally every 30 seconds, I tried every type of trouble shooting out there and even tried it with my old iPhone 7 Plus and my iPhone X but it keeps crashing. If this keeps happening I’m gonna return both my spark and mavic because that’s just $1,500 worth paperweights sitting on my desk

Poor Image Error *Now Fixed*. Getting a image error when using a OTG cable. Makes no sense, wouldnt OTG be way more stable than any WiFi connection? Yeah... keep telling us ur working on it, fix this issue please. I might have to side load a older version. **No issues after recent update. Weak image transmission error went away. Thank you very much! Seems much more stable now. OTG is always the safest secure way to maintain the visual aspect of flying a drone from the camera.

App not at all straightforward to use. After 45 minutes or so of trying to set up the app I finally got my drone to fly. Using it is incredibly fiddly, especially if you want to use it with the remote. I had to keep jumping back and forth between the app and the settings app to switch between my real Wi-Fi network and the drone’s Wi-Fi network. I was forced to do a firmware update and was frustratingly told that the drone wouldn’t take off without said FW update but when I click the button to update firmware it just pops up with a message that says to go to the “home page” to update. That’s just sloppy; clicking that button should walk me through the process. The onboarding process is so incredibly cumbersome and full of steps where things just failed and I had to retry multiple times for no particular reason. Luckily I think I only needed to go through that process once but man, that was a bad first experience.

DJI SPARK AND APP. This app needs an update. I just purchased this drone yesterday no combo pack so using the app on the phone has been a constant struggle for a hefty price in purchasing the drone which everything should be flawless with what you guys push out for the drones. The app constantly crashes, the controls for the drone on the phone don’t show up half the time, it’s glitchy and laggy. Hopefully there’s a fix for this soon so I can enjoy my drone to it’s full potential! Fix the crashing!!!! Can’t even stay on the app for 5-10 seconds 🤯🤯🤯🤯

App Crash. I have had the Mavic Pro Platinum for two days. I have completed all the firmware updates and reduced all other memory on my IPhone to dedicate the memory for flight logs and reduce app crashes. I turn off Wifi and Bluetooth prior to my flights. I experienced two app crashes today alone in the middle of a flight. This question is direct to DJI, would you recommend users to download another app to use so customers don’t risk having more issues? Or is this problem going to be fixed in the near future. When the app is working it’s marvelous! Any suggestions???

Reinstall every time before I fly. Love the drone. Will fly for 30 minutes and then the app starts crashing after every minute. Reinstall get another flight, same thing happens. Afraid to fly to far away. Don’t want to loose because of app crashing. I have a new phone, all programs turned off rebooting the phone. Don’t know what else to do. Please fix the crashing. Please also update for the IPhone X. Update: Guess I’m not doing a Birthday party shoot today!!!!!!Thanks Dji!!!! Please fix!!!! Also, I’ve taken the stupid quiz 18 times. Please turn that off and put a acknowledgment instead.

Constantly Crashing!. I got this app on my iPhone SE for the DJI Spark. On my first few flights the app worked great but soon after it started crashing during flight and then even when it wasn’t connected to the drone. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it. On the first flight after I reinstalled it, the app worked good again but then it started crashing again even after closing the app and restarting my phone. It crashes whenever I use the app for whatever reason. Please fix.

Bad news. After getting everything ready to go, installed, updated, fooled around with and put together, then wait a few days to get to the campground where there's a nice big vacant field to try this drone out for the first time...nothing but problems as everyone else here has described. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this $1300 toy. VERY DISAPPOINTED FIX YOUR SOFTWARE. ************************************** ...a little while later, thankfully the vendor I purchased this Mavic drone from issued an RMA for full refund. Too bad to return a well made piece of hardware due to some really horrible software. I am now going to set my expectations far lower, and try to find something that I can just fly and watch the video on my phone or iPad. That's all I wanted, and DJI gets zero consideration from me for another chance. Years and years ago, crashing software and cranky hardware were sort of expected. This is 2017 now, where development and testing has ample opportunity to get the job done right. There is no excuse for such a pricy product to be supported with this horrible app.

Crashes more than I can use it!!!!. Okay guys I never write reviews but this is extremely frustrating! Every time I try to use the app it crashes at least 10 times. I can’t even update my firmware because of this. I ran out of 2 batteries on day because it kept on crashing. I think this app would be amazing IF IT DIDN’T CRASH!!! App developers PLEASE FIX THIS!! There are so many people using this and everyone is having issues with it crashing. You would think that you could fix this by now. I will change my rating once it’s fixed but until then beware of buying the DJI drone products because you’ll have a lot of issues flying due to THE APP! Come on guys...

One and Done. First drone I’ve ever owned and I now have almost a 100 flights. I’ve had zero problems and the learning curve for this beginner was super easy and awesome! I only use it for my own fun and do not anticipate needing to upgrade or buy another one for many years to come - unless I need to because of my own recklessness. Now that I mostly know what I’m doing with it and how to use it, I highly recommend the Magic Pro drone to anybody who wants to have fun and see the world that surrounds us!

6 years with minor problems.. Started flying DJI with the F550. Best sUAV company so far. Most problems others have are User Errors. I’ve had great luck with unlocking zones. Albeit a hassle. I’ve flown the DJI F550, Phantom 2 through 4 Pros, Inspires, and Mavic Pro with happy results. This app is a God Send if you only knew how things were from the beginning. Innovations of software and new drones are incredible. Any Support for me has been surprisingly quick and friendly. Good luck out there and Fly Safe.

App is missing features. Have been using this app for many years. Recently added the mavic 2 pro to my collection. DJI has removed the landing precision feature on this aircraft. Which is needed if battery failure in RC or some other mishap while landing in RTH state. Now my mavic lands 18 ft from take off point compared to inches with my mavic platinum. Considering they added an LED light to assist with “safe” landings. Now my mavic 2 can land in the woods and or water instead of its take off point “if” I was to ever need this feature. DJI please put the precise landing feature back into the software of this app.

Mavic zoom. Wow! Fantastic app and drones. Every time I fly and open the app I am prompted to update the firmware if necessary. DJI is constantly updating their software to ensure safe and exciting flights. The past 3 months I experienced 3 updates which have produced stress free flights and should I panic due to loss of range (3+ miles away or obstructed by trees or buildings) the autonomous features take over and safely guide the drone back to its GPS home point. This app works great!

EASY FIXES!!. This app works just fine on the various devices I’ve tried it on. The main thing people in this section are doing is blaming the app for their personal error. This app is quite straining. You can’t expect it to work perfectly on your phone. Try a tablet. Also, if you can, try different connection cords. In my experience, they play a gigantic role in how your drone performs. I’ve had no problems with the app that I couldn’t fix myself, in some way.

Read the privacy disclosure. Ive been wanting to purchase this drone for quite a while. This past week I finally bought one and drove home with the excitement of a child on Christmas Eve. Bought the DJI Pro on a Thursday evening. Spent the night charging the batteries and reading the instruction manual. Lastly, downloaded the DJI Pro app as required. The next morning, woke up and prepared to use the product. BUT, I first read the privacy agreement, which you must agree to prior to using the app. My excitement instantly turned to disappointment tinged with anger. In a nutshell it states that you have no privacy with anything to do the photos or videos you take using this product. Not only that, but you also give up the privacy rights to anyone that you forward any of the images or videos to. NICE! (Sarcasm intended) I was in such shock that I reread the privacy agreement a few times, making sure I understood the totality of the agreement, hoping there was a misunderstanding on my part. There wasn't. I took it back for a full refund on Friday.
