The greatest Apple have ever seen. This supposed to talk to all my friends it’s busy I can talk to though I can talk to a family of all the early for a way I can still talk to the while on my phone the phone app is like really really really hope for the word five-star so I give it if I was starving is it really helpful what are you read it how you did it you get voicemails if so what is it call you kind a like to text and FaceTime app but the phone app is a five rated*you should really get it if you were lucky to have some of it has contactor all the photos that you picked you could let her put it keep it in your phone deleted if you don’t want to talk to the person he were to you could keep it and delete it which is really cool that he has your ultras who or where where do you want to talk to somebody they say that answer of course but this app is definitely the garage or I could ever say of apps of whole apps I could ever talk about before I live because I could be like 200 feet away and I could still talk to my friends and family and six so cool I recommend this app 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DEVELOPERS READ THIS SPECIFICALLY THE MIDDLE PARAGRAPH!!!. Most of the bad reviews I read were like I get tons of spam calls yadah yadah yadah. BUT HOW IS THAT THE APPS FAULT!!!! It’s not like the app calls you its people. If it annoys you that much then just turn of phone notifications and if you miss a call wait never mind because you will probably find a way to blame that on the app to 🙄. But developers in your next update you should consider putting the answer button and the end call button on different sides of the little thing up top that shows up when you get notifications like it might just be a skill issue but I always accidentally click the wrong button and I’ll end up answering a spam call or hanging up on my mom. But besides that this app if flawless it’s the best way to communicate if you don’t have it you HAVE TO get it!

Please add search option on Recents tab. It will make easier for user if you add search option on recents tap. Otherwise, we have to go to contacts to search our contact. Mostly, we go to recents tap because we have all our important contacts on the top but if we don’t find any contact on recents tab (within 15-25 contacts) we need to go to contacts tab. But if you add search option on recents tab, it will be better for us and time consuming. Hope you will understand. Thanks! Sheikh Mubashwir

The best app but it has bugs. When someone calls me on FaceTime it has a button that you swipe to answer but no decline button and it’s like so annoying and I know I can just ignore it but it takes 30 seconds to decline the call and when I’m in a group chat FaceTime when me and my friends join sometimes it takes are cameras off and muted us and it hangs up on itself sometimes and please add a new button so that you can call in like a group chat like calling with 2 people

One persistent bug. Good basic phone app that can even handle *#;, wait and pause codes. Except it will not recognize a contact with a pause or wait in the number. You can search for part of the number in the phone app, and it will find it, but if you make or receive a call it will not find/display the stored contact that has an extension number after the ; or ,

Missing Features. I’d love to see in Contacts in the Phone app the ability to pin contacts at the top of the list. I would pin the people I call most often so as to not have to scroll and scroll. The way I have done this is by putting an “A” before the person’s name so alphabetically it appears on top. Also when contacts are sorted by last name it would be nice if there was a comma inserted after the last name. I have done this manually with all my contacts by adding a comma at the end of the last name.

What Apple built Roving wiretap into the iOS!?. Apple has a “feature” in the iOS that allows someone to remotely turn on “roving wiretap” or “roving bug” its controlled by people with access to Homeland Security Centers for national safety but since you don’t about it some crooked people in DuPage County are using it to help crooked lawyers and government people steal money and help their friends. With mine there was this guy “Pink” and he was the lawyer for this fraud freaksshow contractor who glues siding on peoples houses and shoots nails into the the electrical thing like fuse box. After that I found them sending me text messages about stuff that was said around my phone. I forst thought it was the Alexa (another sham scam product) but then I unplugged them all. More of the same was happening and this time it was from a conversation in my car. That was it - I knew it 100% “you should be a comedian”. Apple DOES NOT LIKE YOU TALKING ABOUT THIS. Now the county guy is telling people I have to say Im crazy because he got straight up cold bested using this illegally without proper warrants. How it works is the phone dials a number in the background and leaves the mic on. Nothing appears in recents and you cell provider won’t put the minutes and number on your bill. Ask Apple to see if they deny it. They can’t but low level people don’t know and never told. Yes Apple lets people turn on remote monitoring on your phone covertly now you know.

😡So many Robo Calls!!!😤. I get so many calls a day mostly Spoof Numbers I blocked the numbers. But again another number pops up. w/ a different number. And I get spam messages w/ emails/numbers Or trying to sell me something. I also get spam voicemails w/ weird sound or trying to sell something. I turn on silence unknown Call to not hear Spam Risk Telemarketer and mostly Spoof numbers. Can’t really do anything about spam text message you can blocked them but it doesn’t work! They just make a new account. So I don’t really enjoy this app I know it’s my number. But I had someone number getting all these calls but it was a weird number. But I got a new number and all I get is Spam Junk. Really not happy about this Phone App Because they’re nothing you can do about SCAMMERS! But it’s great to chat with people you know in you’re content list! But I really do hate this app because of SCAMMERS!!!!!😤😡😫😩😡😤

New screening tools are ineffective because they screen out too much. With the iOS 26 update I was excited to learn of the new screening tools. I get spam calls about five or six times a day. While the tool did seem to filter out my spam calls, it also filtered out every call from somebody I did not know. After a couple of weeks I had about 10 voicemail messages from people that I was expecting phone calls from. I’m not sure why they just didn’t scream out the ones that were suspected spam instead of everything Be careful if you turn this feature on

Fraudulent minor child accounts linked to my account and my sister. My sister is Pam Olson and I am 11 months older than her and she is icu on life support and she may not make it ,for the last seven years or so I believe Apple and Google and Facebook authorized two fraudulent minor child accounts that gave her and my control of our devices she has iPhone and I have iPhone and James Fulton has gotten the authorization to do whatever he wants to destroy us and he is a criminal with a boat load of money and he has taken everything from us and my sister is fighting for her life I know he has a meta business account because it’s not mine and I know that he has kept me from paying Apple what I owe them but I seen that he is in good standing with them murder of my sister and me by a

Unnecessary. I hate that, every time I place a phone call while using a Bluetooth device, I have to close a pop-up window asking me to choose which method I want to utilize for the call: Bluetooth device, Speaker, Handheld or something else. If I want to use speaker, I will decide that by myself. I do not need a prompt to suggest that my preselected choice might not be the best one. I am a truck driver and DOT regulations dictate that I must use a Bluetooth device. Please eliminate this unnecessary and distracting option.

Solid app. Would be great to see, or make easier, the ability for full screen pictures of contacts for an inbound calls. It’s great and I don’t even know how like 1% of my contacts are setup for full screen but the grand majority are not. If the full screen option was easier to select and transferred over to CarPlay, that would be great! More ring tones would be great, also. The lack of options, I think, is why when an iPhone goes off everybody checks to see who it is since most of us stick to default. Two little things that would make a huge difference! ugh... not hating but I hate phone SO MUCH! the beep sound is so annoying..*BEEP BEEEP* like it hurts my eardrums if im on private. I mean I do love phone but just not a lot don’t get me wrong. It’s great. Like someone said it would be much easier to go on voice memos and create your own tone. I LOVED the part where if they didn’t answer it was like: sorry o can’t answer. In their voice. But apparently you got rid of it?? It was better without that robot voice being like talk at the tone. Also please bring that back. I know it’s been there since like the phone was made. But it’s getting worse and worse then to better and now worse. JUST STICK WITH UPDATES AND KEEP THEM!! Thank you for your time

It’s good. It doesn’t really like do the most. It’s not really that special for me and stuff but is quite a good app to use just for calls for friends. It is really not that special is kind of like FaceTime, but you don’t really show your face. Yeah it’s also like WhatsApp, but yeah, It’s good but not that good and 4 and up my sister is five. Yeah she’s not really supposed to be calling her friends on her tablet. It would just make her more spoiled so that’s why I gave it a four star. It’s good though not really that great. This app should like be rated 9+ because the calling is not really for like the kids cause they get accidentally called grown-ups to do like kidnap them so that’s why I gave the four stars not for kids

Love it 😊. Ok so me and my friends have like group chats I love the features that when you call someone you can change it to video chat or send them to voicemail when they call or like mute and also you can add some one to the call and I think it works great for all devices and sometimes on tablet or computer not so much on computer but still amazing app I don’t know why people hating on this free app

BEST APP EVER. i LOVE this app because when my friends are gone i can hear there voice over the phone!!!! it’s like i’m always with them!!!! i hear they’re voice through there things on the phone called speakers and i recently found out that you came time face people!!!! it’s when you can see peoples face on your telephone!!!!! i can’t believe this! awesome job apple!!👍🏻👍🏻🎉🎉👏👏

Won’t go through. I have wifi calling on. It still wants airplane mode off. So I turned off airplane mode still wouldn’t let me call. “We’ll maybe it’s your wifi” Im sorry I don’t think so especially since me my older sibling and stepfather can all play online server games no problem and still have someone watch Netflix while we do all that. So maybe it’s my data well I wasn’t using my data!! But I tried anyway I turned wifi off and wifi calling off and only used my data. Would you like to guess what happened? Nothing the call wouldn’t go through. Maybe it was the other person? Well the fact that there was one other person in the call and it kept telling them I left the call.. seems like it’s not them dont you think? I don’t know what the problem is but it would be nice if it could be looked into. I’m not saying it’s the developers fault I’m just very frustrated right now.

Needs an update. Please fix this bug. I had 3 missed calls in a row from one person yesterday and to remove the missed call notifications I had to click on the actual number. Normally if I have a missed call and I click on the phone app and look at the call log, then the notification will go away. But because this person called me 3 times in a row I had to click on the little info button next to the phone number for the notification of the 3 missed calls go away. That’s absolutely stupid!!! All I should do all I should have to do is look at the call log and see the 3 missed calls and the notifications should go away. There’s no reason why I should have to click on the little info button next to the number for the 3 missed call notification to go away.

Needs more functionality. 1) I keep hitting buttons with my cheek when I am talking or smiling. I’d like a different button setup. 2) I’d like to be able to save multiple outgoing voicemail greetings so that I can use them for different occasions, ie vacation, weekends, etc. I don’t want to lose a good outgoing recording if I need a temporary away message. 3) I have 6K+ contacts in my address book that I’ve collected over the years. I’d like to be able to edit/delete them very easily. 4) I want to be able to screenshot or photograph someone’s contact info and for it to auto-load into my Contacts. My fitness pal and Cronometer so this with nutritional facts. I’d like this option for contacts too. 5) I’d like to save Zoom IDs and Passwords to be easily stored in Contacts after use or for later use without having yo type in every digit. 6) My voicemails arrive in my inbox hours or days or weeks later. Why? 7) I created a BLOCKED Contact named “Ads” and I add any robocalls to this contact and block it. I’ve added so many, I created an Ads 2, Ads3. 7a) I’d like more of a screening feature. A do not call me again button feature or an auto-block feature for these repeat robocalls or scams. 7b) I’d like to be able to block or mute people in one screen, not hunt for them.

I have the iPhone SE 3rd gen. I love this app so much I can talk to my friends whenever I want and the thing is you can stay on the phone forever you want this app is so good for me and I just love the App Store‘s phone and it works really well on my iPhone, which is the iPhone SE third generation I love this app so much it is does so good and I seen other reviews somewhere bad somewhere good and I see most are good so thank you for this app Apple thank you

Issue with Recent Call List Not Showing Numbers. Hello, On my iPhone, the recent call list only shows the contact name but not the specific phone number used for the call. I have several contacts with multiple numbers saved. After making or receiving a call, I cannot tell which number was used. This makes it difficult to track or call back the correct number. Could you please advise if there is a way to display the actual phone number in the recent call list, or suggest a solution? Thank you.

Silence unknown callers. So one of the things that is used a lot is turning off and on Silence Unknown callers. It was always a pain to go open the settings and find it but now you have made it even more obscure by burying the Phone app in the apps section instead of having a prominent place in the settings. Instead of making it a control that can be easily accessed we now have to go through a bunch of steps to find it. Major pain! And major step backwards! Please provide Silence unknown callers as a control that can be placed on the control pull down.

Missing feature. The app does as you’d expect… make calls, receive calls, store/browse contacts, create favorites, and listen/view voicemails. One feature they need to fix is copy and pasting an address into a contact. Currently if you copy an address, it will paste number, street, city, state, and zip into one line rather than categorizing it in the appropriate field. The missing feature I would like to see is ability to setup more than one voicemail. It’s would be nice to switch between my traditional/daily voicemail and one for when I go on vacation. This is mostly for my work phone. I have to keep creating new voicemails when I go on vacation and when I come back.

Last Update. This past update is horrible! First of all this update is worse for seniors like my Mom who had trouble getting to know how to use her phone in the first place! And second I have numbers who are not in my contacts for a reason and they are hidden for a reason! Yet I get notifications for those numbers and this last update lets me know they called! Why? They are hidden for a reason!!! I do not want to know they call me!!!! I do not want those unknown numbers to show that they have called me!!! Why do you feel the need to do these sort of things in your updates!

iOS 26 problem. I am not exactly sure if this review would go under the Phone app or somewhere else but I’m putting it here hoping that someone from Apple will read it. I am a screen reader user and since downloading iOS 26 I am unable to use my customized voiceover gesture to go to my home screen. It continually takes me to the app Library, which means I have to tap each individual app or the folder in the app Library there is no way to get to my customized pages that I have created for myself. I don’t mind that the Apple Library is there, but we still need to be able to get to the individual pages that perhaps we have created I have created five pages because I want certain apps organized together on each page of my phone and to only use the App Library as I choose either there is an error within voiceover that will not allow me to use my customized gesture, which is an overall iPhone problem right now, or it is a problem that can be alleviated by allowing us to access our individually created pages at the bottom of the Apple library. Please fix immediately!

Phone. I'm falling in love with this app and iOS 17 in general. Please don't ever get rid of the new ringtones and text tones because they're so awesome and fun and cool and neat and amazing and super and phenomenal. these new ringtones and text tones are Lifesavers. I also love the live voicemail feature, although I haven't checked it out yet. I also love how you can pick up a phone call while a voicemail is being left. I also love how you can set and delete multiple timers at once in the Clock app. Please don't ever get rid of this feature either because it's so handy and useful. thank you so much for these amazing features. The Settings app isn’t in the App Store, and I want to make a five star rating for that app. it would be so neat and awesome and amazing and fun and cool to have more enhanced and premium voices for VoiceOver. is it possible to add the Settings app into the App Store so that I can give it a five star rating? also, in the VoiceOver settings, it would be so neat and fun and amazing and cool and awesome if I could change the pitch and speed of all the Siri English, British, Indian, Irish, South African, Scottish, and Australian voices. Thank you for making the new ringtones loop longer so that I have more time to answer calls. I’ve noticed that my phone doesn’t make the authentication sound that it used to make when I unlock my phone and Siri doesn’t make a noise when I activate her to let me know she’s listening. Is it possible to add that back in?

Really, really glitchy!. Everytime I load a contact the screen has a stroke! I tap on a contact to load up the information and the contact information will disappear and then start jerking downward, then it disappears again. It will do this about 3-4 times before I can actually tap on a phone number, or email on that contacts info screen. Also whenever I tap on a street address on a specific contact, it wants to load the contacts name in Apple Maps instead of the street address.

Update won’t allow unknown callers to be silenced. I like this app. But since the recent update, unknown callers that use to be silenced and sent to voicemail are ringing. I went to settings. I saw it said under Screen Unknown Callers was set to Ask Reason for calling so I changed it to Never. Under Call Filtering it was toggled to off for Unknown Callers. So I toggled it to on. That didn’t work so I changed Screen Unknown Callers to Silence. The Spam button is also toggled on. This was very easy to turn on and off before the update and it worked perfectly. Now I’m getting calls ringing that show up as potential spam. I tried looking on apple’s site but it wasn’t any help. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong, or please fix the glitch. Thank you.

Level Up Already…. First- Please show the Dual SIM community some love. Can you please add more functionality to having two lines on my iPhone? I don’t want to go back to having two phone, thank you. Second, the voicemails have been glitching for years. Functionality to start & pause a voicemail is frustrating. Additionally, the toggle to move the voicemail recording forward/backwards is a nightmare. If it doesn’t get changed by the end of Q2 in 2026, I’m forwarding numbers and then eventually going the droid route. You guys were built on the iPhone. Stop neglecting the core products that got Apple to the top - FIX THEM

Anyways y the heck do ppl write “to many robo calls” like Broski, that’s not my problem, or the phone app problem. Just block it it’s not that hard. And what would u do with out the app? Huh? I’m just here cuz I’m bored. I’m not here to write a bad review, I actually gave it five stars sense I think the app deserves it. No hate here on boomers or late gen X’ers but like ur the only thing here keeping this app alive. I know absolutely no human in my grade or lower that uses that app just to call someone. I personally use it to prank call. Like call McDonald’s and ask for the Burger King menu, that one’s a good one. Actually now that I think abt it, prank calls and grandmas or grandpas are keeping this app alive. Anyways ima go now and write a review for FaceTime. making unwanted outcalls. Please update iOS so as to not automatically call phone numbers from notifications. Accidentally clicked one today and my phone dialed out to a potential hacker or spammer. I don’t know the number. Update iOS so that when someone clicks on a missed phone call notification, it gives you options instead of calling out to a potentially harmful number. Zero stars if possible. Five starts when updated. Also they just tried to call me again. No voicemail or anything so I’m sure this is not a good number to be calling. FIX THIS NOW APPLE!

iOS 26 updated is counterintuitive. Why is it that when I go to the contacts tab and search for a contact the fist thing I see is the call logs for that contact?? How does that make any sense? I’m looking for the contact not the call logs. If I wanted the call logs first id seach under the calls tab! Also, when I want to call a contact as FaceTime audio, why do I have to long press under the call button to get the option? Took me a while to find where I could do this. Many of the updates for iOS 26 really did not improve functionality but rather hide certain things that didn’t need hiding.

Extremely Reliable. Without this handy app, the purpose of the iPhone would be difficult to see. It’s called the iPHONE for a reason. This app helps iPhone users stay in touch with friends and family, and is useful for business purposes. It has most of the features that a user would need, like Remind Me, Message, the new Live Voicemail, and most importantly, an Accept and Decline button. But, this might as well be the best part: it works. Over the years, this app has helped many people stay in contact with each other. It’s a very, very reliable app. Well done, Apple.

I am upset. It doesn’t let me call anyone it doesn’t work at all and for other people it works really well. I mean if you can get it to work then make it. I’m just super offended because I use your texting app all the time and that works fine but I have to do a video chat if I want to talk to someone. And it’s really annoying because I really don’t like it and like I talked to my BFF Catarina all the time, but I can’t just call her because it doesn’t work so this app I’m just really disappointed because it makes me upset because I love texting so much so it makes me sad because I feel like I could really love this app well that’s all.

iPhone getting worse. Bought the iPhone 13…worse iPhone in years. Constant bugs, requires way too much screen touching to get anything done. To delete an app you have to tap three different times! Face ID is stupid about half the time so you’ll have to punch in your passcode. Face ID and double tapping the side button to make a purchase is twice as stupid. Flashlight and camera buttons are in a bad location and constantly turning on. The internal App Library is worthless and groups apps together that don’t make sense. The internal search almost never gives the desired results. If you don’t have a Bluetooth device connected there is no red decline or “hang up” on the screen so your phone is pretty much taken hostage during an incoming call that you don’t want to answer. I still have many other complaints to add, but I’ll stop because you probably get the point so here’s the thing. I seriously don’t understand how Apple could take what was once a good product and just spiral down the rabbit hole to the point that users are left with a product that seems straight out of wonderland.

Pros and cons. This is app automatically comes on iPhone so you make and receive phone calls. With the recent iOS 17 update the caller ID has had lots of bugs. When I add a contact poster it makes the contact names with emojis grayscale. Also if you add a contact photo with no contact poster it will show a the contact photo next to the contact name but also show a weird transparent/blurred version of the contact photo. I really wish these things would get fixed. There’s been several updates since the original iOS 17 but the bugs still haven’t been fixed.

Good but needs this. It needs to have a feature to not just mute yourself but lower ur volume that they can hear like I will turn down myself instead of muting myself. That’s a big thing that me and my bf have is that he’s trying to sleep otp and I be up load and it just needs to have a feature where u can turn down urself instead of all the way muting urself also FaceTime and phone be bugging saying it’s not the right number or needs to check the contact when it is his number but the main thing is a voice volume on urself

Last update changed something…. Change it back!!!. Last update changed something in my ‘Phone’ app. I used to have ‘voicemail’ on the bottom, so I could tap that, and hear/ read my voicemails (translation). Now, it seems I have gained a ‘Favorites’ button, and lost the voicemail button. I don’t care about ‘Favorites’! If I want to make a quick call, I ask Siri! I want to be able to get my voicemail easier, so I can scan through and see what gets answered and what gets deleted, vs having to listen to the message… I am not smart enough to make that change on my own, I only noticed it after this last update, so, please, FIX IT!

Missing voicemail. This has happened several times where the voicemail icon shows a few new voicemails, but in all reality there’s several new voicemails. The icon on my home screen doesn’t reflect the actual number of voicemails I really have. I’ve missed several voicemails due to this. I’ve been told by our IT department that there is a missing link between the voicemail app that shows a green phone on my home screen and the actual voicemail that is embedded in my phone. I was told that dialing *86 is the only way to call my voicemail to make certain I’ve received all the voicemails. The app on the home screen is too untrustworthy since it shows 6 new voicemails, but actually there’s 38 within my phone. Huge difference and a huge deal when these are missed. Hope someone can fix this…

I hate it. Hi i’m not trying to be one of those mean Karen ladies I always request your manager but I am sorry to say but this app is not doing good it says it’s an iPad and Apple iPhone app for Apple iPad and I have an Apple iPad so I download it on my Apple iPad and then it said calls are unavailable so I went to my messages it says FaceTime FaceTime email and info and it should say call FaceTime email and info not to FaceTime because that’s what it looks like before I got the phone app on my iPad so then it said to add phone numbers and I have a bunch of people some numbers on my iPad so I tried doing that instead call unavailable every single time I try to call somebody and it just said call unavailable every single time and when I tried with my friend that has an email on my loaded onto my Messages I tried her and it said call unavailable please try again in the next few seconds and so I did and it says all calls unavailable and I’m like what the heck dude I just tried to call my friend and it still wouldn’t work I got the app five weeks ago and I’ve been trying for the past five weeks once again I’m not trying to be a mean Karen lady but this app so it’s not going well for me

App pushed to wrong channel. A couple of months ago, I was updating apps on my iPhone. The channel iOS 18. All of a sudden, it asked me for my Apple password. Later in the day, I was fixing to update the apps on both of my iPads. I unlocked them and noticed the Phone app on both of their home screens. I tried to remove them as that was an iPadOS 26 feature… not ready for 18… it was locked to the iPad. I opened them to both finding that they both opened to a blank white screen. Fast forward the week when RC came out. Normally I wait. I upgraded to RC in hopes that it fixed what was broken… it did not. A week later I upgraded to 26. I since then upgraded to 26.0.1, 26.1, and 26.2 RC with no change. This leaves me to believe that once I update to the official 26.2, it will still remain broken. The Phone App is still broken. I looked at iPad Storage and the app itself is only a few KB. Please fix what you broke… in the mean time, I cannot use the app in its present state.

They ruined this app for no reason. I have no idea why they would change the recents part of the app to split between phone calls and voicemails when there is a literal voicemail tab to the bottom right. If I wanted to look at recent voicemails I’d go to my voicemails. Now to looks ya recent calls I have to hit recents then all calls to see all of them when I could just hit recents before. Not only that but they got rid of the letter “I” icon for more info on the phone number or to make it into a new contact. Just wasting time in my day while try to make calls for business and there is no point to this

Nice does what it is meant for but... The app itself is perfectly fine but I a found an issue this one person who I don’t know has called me over 100 time and this is not a exaggeration. I wish you could add a setting where people can’t call you unless you add their number. So even if they know your number they cannot call you this would almost completely stop robo calls from scammers.

Amber Alerts/Missing Person Connected To Twitter. There needs to be a better system of reporting during an Amber/Missing Person Alert, the description flashes on the screen with a link to Twitter/X, people don’t always have an account so we can’t always view important information. A majority of people left Twitter because the person who bought it has been known to post and promote misinformation from vaccines to political parties, to bashing people in the LGBTQIA community including one of his own children that is Transgender. Please find another way to display and access important information during an emergency.

Feature Worth Adding. As many mentioned this app does what it’s intended to do. But something I have been struggling with using this app and always wish would come one day is the ability to dial right from “Keypad” digits and be suggested contacts that either have those digits pattern in their number or contacts that have their name (or saved name) that follows the alphabetic key pattern. For example: when I dial ‘666’ on keypad I should be able to see suggestions with contacts that have ‘…666…’ in their number or contacts saved as ‘MOM’ for example. Thanks

Visual Voicemail Problem with Phone App. Siri indicated there’s a problem with the visual voicemail app after the iOS 16.0 update on my iPhone 8 Plus. Since visual voicemail is tied to the phone app and there seems to be no way to fix the problem, this appears to be the only place to report this error after attempting all the Apple support suggestions, including resetting the network. I rate this app 3 stars until voice transcription is reinitiated. I know it has something to do with the iOS 16 update as older messages before the update still display the voicemail transcription.

Badge but no missed calls, no unread voicemails. There is a badge on the app on the home screen, but I have completely emptied my call log and voicemail. It won’t go away, I’ve restarted my phone, I don’t want to uninstall and reinstall the app without being told to for fear of losing the capability to use it properly, and the support page for have anything about it. What can I do? Low stars for attention and hopes of a developer response, it’s a good app, and works well, easily worth 5 stars, I just need answers because I need the badges, but they drive me insane when they’re there for long periods of time, and it makes it harder to tell when I’ve missed a call

The Contact List Catastrophe. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because you still cannot delete contact cards without having to manually go into each individual contact. I see a select feature as being smoother. I personally have had 3 new iPhones in the past few years and I noticed that very time I transfer over, every contact duplicates 🤷🏻‍♂️ this buildup of contacts takes up space and is hard to get rid of!

Literally the best thing ever. I FaceTime people all the time and end up falling asleep on FaceTime with people but the biggest thing that rlly rlly pisses me off is when ur on a ft with someone and someone else tries to call you it will show the screen where it shows who’s tryna call you and it says decline or decline and accept and no matter what you pick or if you ignore the call it will decline the original call you’ve been in to where you have to call the person back, it really bothers me and it’s a bug that needs to be fixed soon! Phone not working. After reboot can not make calls, choose different phone with same SIM card it works,put back SIM card to iPhone, make a call, phone seems hanging, cannot dial out, 4g data service working fine.

Its a good app. I must agree this app is so useful that without it your phone is just an ipod basically. But since this app is here on appstore we should appreciate the makers of this app to let us all bless us with its features.

Sick of unwanted calls. Previously I never used to get international calls. You had the capability to silence calls from unknown numbers. Now with this filtering setting you can silence it and have it go to unwanted calls list. I shouldn’t even be seeing them in this list if it is deemed spam. I would never a get call from an international number thatI isn’t in my contacts. So please do us a favour and block them and don’t bother me with unwanted lists or icon badges. As for local numbers, if I am expecting a call from an unknown number then I simply change the filter and allow the calls to come through from unlisted numbers. Then simply switch the filter back on. It’s very rare if at all that I would get unexpected calls from unlisted numbers. Majority businesses and government agencies that I have dealings with email or sms or use in app email. Please find a better solution and let us be.

Swipe to delete contact. Deleting a contact takes ages. Next update should include swipe to delete contact.

T9 dialling and favourites make no sense. T9 dialling really should already be here, and why can we not assign a whole contact as a favourite, rather than the current state of individual items within a contact.

Contacts list. My contacts list suddenly disappeared in this app. And find no way of getting it back. On iPhone 7. Can’t afford newer ones.

Can’t give access to microphone. It was working pretty fine when I bought the phone and now for some reason , when I make calls , the person on the other end can’t hear me and I can’t give the app access to my microphone. Limited “favourite” WhatsApp #s in Assistive Access. I’m setting up Assistive Access for my 84yo mother. Most of the calls she wishes to make are to Italy, where most people don’t have iPhones and use WhatsApp. In setting up her favourite phone #s in Assistive Access, I note that WhatsApp numbers can’t be selected, even though it’s offered as an option in the drop down menus. There’s no problems adding more favourites if it’s via a cellular call, or FaceTime. Can you please allow favourites to include any call modality including WhatsApp voice/video. It’s super important for elderly people calling overseas. Many thanks.

Blocking. New update but still no ability to block callers in Recent Calls. Maybe Apple should focus on the devices intended purpose, an actual PHONE for making and receiving calls. Poor quality - Defective.. Constant glitches and technical issues with call logs, voicemail, and aural sounds and indicators. It seems that there are bugs in the software embedded into a number of my apps through my Apple ID account. This has been an ongoing issue for a number of years with my Apple products. Thank you Apple!. Review update December 10, 2025. Thank you Apple for fixing the contact card note section! It’s also great that Apple is fixing scam calls and unknown callers by screening them. I would like to suggest another amazing option Apple can implement. Sometimes we’re busy but we want to accept the call. Develop an option to inform the caller that we are available to take the call, we just need a quick moment to put aside what we’re doing. That message should be customizable by the user! When will Apple fix the notes section of the contact cards!!! This got worse instead of better with iOS 26. If like me you take extensive notes on your contacts the cursor keeps skipping to different parts of the page. Fix this!!!!! A similar problem existed for years on the Notes app and it seems iOS 26 finally fixed it.

Taking too much storage. Yesterday I checked the iPhone storage and this app is taking 2.21 GB of storage. Even after clearing all call logs it still shows same number.

App crashes. They automatically add a contact that you didn’t even answer the call but when you tried to delete that contact with no info or no number the app crashes!

Missing spam reporting and screening. Google is so far advanced than apple when it comes to call screening. The iPhone 15pro can’t even reject a call by tapping the screen. I really miss Call screening on my Pixel. This is a step backwards.

Needs to be added to more devices. I don’t like how I can’t add this to my iPod touch 2019 7th generation. I think you should add it to the iPods just for you can make more phone calls.

Voice MailMissed Calls Icon doesn’t clear. It is frustrating that the number notification does not clear after all vm’s are listened to or even missed calls are deleted. Phone button keeps opening messenger. For some reason today, when I am in the phone app and go to someone’s contact, then I press the phone button to call them the app opens up Facebook messenger. Thank you. …for FINALLY removing 1 tap auto-dialing of a number from the call list. I switched to iPhone last year and this was the only thing that I didn’t like (actually hated) about the phone. I “accidentally” called my 91 YO godmother at 1am last week when scrolling through my call list. I will update my review to 5 stars after I use the new iOS update for a bit.

Controls keep moving around.. Talking on the phone. Incoming call. I tell current caller, and while I am reaching to press the “end call and accept other” button, they hang up. In the time it takes my finger to move 6 cm, the button dances out of the way and is replaced by the “decline call” button. Gee, thanks, Apple! That’s juuust what I wanted to do. Decline a call from the love of my life. Jerks. Have you no romance in your souls? Leave those buttons alone!

Would be nice to block unknown numbers. The Focus feature is pretty amazing, and I can easily block any number from a recent call that actually HAS a number, and I can even make unknown numbers not ring aloud … but for annoying voicemails left by scammers who call from the number “unknown” … there’s no way to block them. There should be.

Feature Request: Preserve Cellular Line Metadata in Synced Call History. The Problem: iCloud syncs call history across devices but fails to preserve the original line's metadata. Example: • iPhone A has Lines 1 & 2. iPhone B has Lines 3 & 4. • When a call is received on Line 1 (iPhone A), the record syncs to iPhone B. • However, iPhone B fails to show "Line 1" and instead incorrectly attributes the call to its local lines (Line 3 or 4), or shows no label at all. The Request: Please ensure the Cellular Line Label (e.g., "Work," "Personal," or the specific number) is synchronized and displayed in the Recents tab across all devices in the ecosystem. Goal: This will allow users with multiple iPhones/eSIMs to accurately identify which specific number was used for a call, reducing mental effort and confusion.

Address Editing. it’s getting on almost a decade from the first release and I still cannot easily copy and paste an address into a contact card without having to hand edit. Perhaps we are waiting for an AI to solve this apparently very difficult computer science puzzle. Suggest using this enigma as a basis for filtering out interview candidates and possibly one of them will brilliantly suggest a solution ?

Out of the blue all outgoing calls failed. Not sure what happened but my carrier services are fine. But I can’t make a single call out not even to 611 all it says is call failed. Before first ring. Tried checking my call settings, restart, soft reset, hard reset, network settings reset, data and texting work just fine, tried iCloud support and checked for all updates. Actually started after the last update. WTH. Carrier nor Apple support can figure it out.

Huge Updates. I just installed the 18.4 update after removing my music and anything else necessary to accommodate your update requiring over 12gb to process!! I restored my music only for you to broadcast another update 18.4.1 which needs over 9gb to process. C’mon!!! Could you perhaps make your updates smaller and more often?

Really, really glitchy!. Everytime I load a contact the screen has a stroke! I tap on a contact to load up the information and the contact information will disappear and then start jerking downward, then it disappears again. It will do this about 3-4 times before I can actually tap on a phone number, or email on that contacts info screen. Also whenever I tap on a street address on a specific contact, it wants to load the contacts name in Apple Maps instead of the street address.

Memoji’s. I absolutely love the feature where you can make Memoji’s for someone’s contact, but I was just wondering if maybe ya’ll could maybe make them where we can see their whole body! And maybe do their nails, too. Just a suggestion, it’s ok if you don’t do it.😋😌

making unwanted outcalls. Please update iOS so as to not automatically call phone numbers from notifications. Accidentally clicked one today and my phone dialed out to a potential hacker or spammer. I don’t know the number. Update iOS so that when someone clicks on a missed phone call notification, it gives you options instead of calling out to a potentially harmful number. Zero stars if possible. Five starts when updated. Also they just tried to call me again. No voicemail or anything so I’m sure this is not a good number to be calling. FIX THIS NOW APPLE!

Seems to be a bug. I like going to my recent calls to clear my old calls but I’ve noticed since the last iOS update my recent calls get cleared on its ow, almost all my new and some older calls have been cleared and it’s getting quite annoying and making me mad that that’s even happening cause it happened once again. Please give meetup options for clearing calls!. While I’m pleased about the ease of accessing my contacts, a lot of spam, telemarketer, and international calls and TEXS find their way to my device. With recent calls, I can easily see that I “miss” most of the unknown callers. I would like to delete all incoming numbers that are not in my contacts, but the only way to clear recent calls is to clear all of them. Come on, Apple! You’re better than that. Le me choose to delete only incoming missed calls and keep outgoing calls. I know I’m not alone in wishing for more innovations. But letting me delete only missed recent calls is hardly an innovation. It should be a basic option.

A new suggestion that will make it more interesting to us with ease. This app is lit 🔥 Just come up with an idea that will make it more interesting if applicable. In the next iPhone update, add a messages icon on the dialing screen so that people can easily send a message directly to a already typed number on the screen. What do you say, Apple?!

It works. The app does its basic job. Makes and receives calls. It could add features such as identifying businesses for incoming/outgoing calls. For example, if you dial your local Walmart and place the call, it would do a web search to tie that number to the business. Then instead of a random number in your call history, you can see it was Walmart.

Accidental calls when the other person hangs up. Somehow the developers did not think through what happens when two people hang up almost simultaneously. If you’re the user who called from the recent calls or favorites screen, you are in danger of accidentally calling someone else because the person you’re on the phone with hung up just before you did. That’s really annoying problem that has never been addressed.

Badges won’t clear. Ever since the last update in which they made the app harder to use, badges won’t clear. I have a red dot on the phone icon no made how many ways I review the recent call list. They hid access to voicemail in a menu icon. I get banner notifications for voicemail messages but when I go to voicemail to listen or delete, the voicemail isn’t there. Sometimes I won’t see it until the next day. The app worked fine until the last update.

Online stalker install on priority mode and only uses sms, doesn’t allow iMessage to my boyfriend. It shows up as restricted call and I can’t call dominos pizza for an order. I can’t recharge my coins for tik tok and because it says I have no internet connection It says it’s for iPhone watch, why is it on my iPhone

Good app but voicemail feature won’t work. So this app is good, pretty basic and standard for your apple phones. My problem falls on voicemail. No matter when I try or how many times, I can’t set up my voicemail. It always says there’s an error and to try again later, and it always says that no matter how long I wait to set it up.

100 call logs limit. I am a Korean user. Why limit 100 call logs? In the US, if it is because of US law, other countries like Korea have to allow it. Because the laws are different between the US and Korea. I use the phone a lot for business and need to keep looking at my previous records, which is very inconvenient. I currently use iPhone X for this reason, Xiaomi 11 Pro. Can't improve it? If we continue to limit this to 100, iPhone users will churn to other phones.

Bug in calls. Hi, there is a problem after updating IOS that if there is more than one number saved in one contact, I can't see the work "recent" on top of the recent used number, i it makes us problem to notice what number was the last used.

Needs urgent update it’s 2026. I still get spam calls and texts from people that I don’t know I don’t understand why I still get calls from a spammer that I have blocked like 5 million times because they keep using different phone numbers and calling apps to call me with a zillion different times I blocked them and then the next day they are calling me back and then I block them and then they start sending me texts spam messages so something on you’re all end needs to start looking into this and put a stop to this

Ending calls. Please change this default setting. Sick of accidentally calling someone when I hang up. The default screen when a phone call ends should not be “recent calls” screen. It should route to that contact number file or to the Home Screen. I always accidentally call someone when I try to press the red end button because the other person hung up at the same time and I ended up pressing on the recent calls list 😡

Worst update yet. In this latest apple epic failure update, they have decided to show you all the contacts you have blocked in your normal contact list. Without any sort of trigger warning or way to reverse it. If I have blocked someone, I never want to speak to them, or see their name, ever again. The only reason they’re still saved is so I can block them. So thanks for the trauma trigger, apple. Nothing like waking up to an abusive ex’s name back at the top of my contact info. Better than coffee.

It’s ok. Good for calling and like offline calling option but when you try to FaceTime through this app, it does FaceTime AUDIO. Not the camera and everything. Don’t blame the app for this feature, blame the FaceTime app for not popping up to handle everything else. Everything else works. Would give 4.9 but 5 is close.

Iphone. It’s what you use to make calls on an iPhone if you don’t have this app what are you doing and can you answer me this how are you making call please tell me anyways it does what it meant to do just please don’t give you phone number out or this app will become a nightmare 100%

Better than Contacts app. Best way to keep a list of contacts in your phone, for those who are iPhone users 📱 the option to make certain contacts favorites, availability to delete voicemails, edit Contacts cards. What more need I say?

Time to retire. This old phone has been a great back up, butThe last couple of times it has been a software update. Something has been left out each time such as access to the microphone for my phone calls app for the last two months I have had to use headphones on my phone calls however, my microphone works for talk to text and everything else access just was not an option after the update. Super inconvenient and annoying.

Bring Back Phone Favorites Shortcut & Widget. I miss the “Phone Favorites” shortcut and widget that was taken away for some reason a few iOS versions ago… I miss having the ability to hard or long press the Phone icon and see my top 4 favorites; it was the fastest way to make a call to my wife… I’d love to see Apple bring that back.

Allow lte /5g iPads cellular users to use. Y’all need to get it together and allow us the phone telco app it would be Great if we could utilize the phone application for tablet or iPad without having a piggyback using iPhone… A lot of people would love to be able to make and receive calls from the iPad and some people do you different IDs such as myself but yeah if I’m paying for a monthly line for you and cellular connection this is what I would expect to also be able to receive calls on that cellular device your number please get it together this be so awesome

Such a good app. Good! I love calling my friends. This is really good if your friends live far away, you need to call them a lot. I love this app because there’s very good quality and you could call anyone anywhere. You can also keep a contact a message to them overall but I will give it a four stars because it’s kind of glitchy but overall good app goodbye

iPhone se3 blocking unknown callers. Since the iOS 26 update, my phone no longer keeps the block caller listing . If I get it back, it lasts for a block or two but that’s it. This is no longer easy and functional. Spam callers will continue to call until you block their number which is why this needs to be fixed asap. I am disappointed in Apple for changing it. I got an iPhone cause it was easy to use and now it’s not. Just incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

Minor visual bugs. The app works fine, but has a fair number of minor visual bugs. For example, the “Favorites” header sometimes gets misaligned to the left until I hard close the app. Also, the backspace button in the dialer sometimes becomes misaligned with the “X” that overlays it, again being fixed if I hard close the app. These have persisted for multiple iOS versions, which seems sloppy.

Gets the job done.. The new voicemail transcription feature is a useful addition for those of us that tend to neglect our voice mailboxes and prefer texting. Could be improved if FaceTime audio calls were easier to access in the GUI, or if calls defaulted to FaceTime VOIP automatically when both sides of the call were using iPhones. FaceTime needs cross platform support as well.

It fails. When I call someone they answer but after a few minutes, it keeps saying call failed and it’s a weird thing that it does that because it has never done that before but now it’s doing that for a certain call. Do you think you can fix it?

ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL. I mean what can I say, we all buy the iPhone because it’s a PHONE so this app is one of the most essential parts of the PHONE itself. Side Note: If you have prepaid services or an off brand carrier then you may not be able to use the full applications voicemail feature since some carriers require that you call your actual number to view voicemails.

An ignored family member.. While apple priorities are so much in family sharing and its eco system, one of the most ignored app among the Apple app must be the “Phone” app. While this app holds information like personal information and all contact information, it seem Apple never once looked it back after once redesigned. There are constant glitches in the personal contact data, And its great that we can add related to but the contact doesn’t get updated even if i changed the name, And its wired that how automatically the related doesn’t get updated when one contact is set as relation to another. I can see so many potential in the Phone app, i really wish Apple makes it more useful than it is limited to right now.

Apple is putting people in danger.. Why doesn't iPad have the emergency call feature like a phone? In would have been the same thing. What if someone didnt have a phone and they needed to call the police? What would happen then? They could be in REAL DANGER, and what is Apple doing? Nothing. I have an ipad myself and i am currently trying to find a way to get in contact with police. I suggest you add some of the same features from an iPhone to an IPad, Therefore, Apple is potentially putting their users in Danger.

GREAT. I was reading one of these comments and they were talking about how you have to press three different buttons to delete an app. I just wanna say that humanity is getting so lazy where they can’t press three buttons to delete an entire software off their smart device.

Simply great but missing…. Great app overall. Easy to use, visual voicemail, favorites, contacts and dial pad all there… only edits I would make are: make it easier to see where to paste a number when using the dial pad. And if you could do a call screening like google pixel!

Boring. Honestly kinda a boring app. Too watered down. The contact need a facelift, would be nice if my contacts could be small tiles with pictures of the people, or to at least see the contact photo in the list. Maybe make the actual. Intact card like a sitter profile where people can add a header photo, a quote, etc.. needs more fun! And the phone needs new buttons, the round ones are tired.

iPhone problem. I frequently find I’m unable to disconnect a call. I have looked to other users and found similar but slightly different problems. There is no red button to click nor other icon to hang or disconnect the call. I’ve reached the point where I use the shutdown button to ensure a disconnect. Otherwise it’s possible to have an embarrassing conversation. I have tried apple users and techs previously.

Phone app needs updating. I get numerous spam phone calls a day, like everybody. Send unknown callers to voicemail is a godsend. But deleting those calls from my Recent history is painful because I have to do each one individually. Really Apple? That’s the best you can do? We need a better way to handle spam calls. Keep unknown calls in a Spam folder and let me triage, then delete all of them at once. Or give me checkboxes or multi-select so I can delete many calls with one click.

Something happened. I had put my phone away for the summer and then when I came back to it my phone app had deleted my best friend’s number granted I have parental controls on my phone but I am not fully convinced that the parental controls are the problem this has happened with my text app too and it always seems to be my best friends number I still haven’t gotten her number back on my phone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS! I hate it when this happens because it makes me feel like I’m ignoring her

It’s really glitchy. It was working so well at first and then a few months later it started acting weird every time I try to call someone it would say call failed and when I’m on call with somebody and I mute myself it would unmute by itself. It’s just so glitchy and weird. It’s so weird because I can still FaceTime but I just can’t do audio calls. It just says call failed anytime I try to call anybody or when anyone tries to call me. It works, but then a few hours later, it just stops working and it does the same thing again.

Unable to wake up screen. When I am on a phone call, I am unable to wake up the screen until the other person disconnects the call. This prevents me from being able to hang up the phone, put my phone on speaker, or use the keypad during the phone call if needed. I have tried updating my IOS and restarting my phone, but the problem remains.

Will forcibly download without option to delete. A few days ago, I was given the option to download the iPad 26.2 update. I updated it, and now this phone app was forcibly downloaded and installed. There is not an option to delete it. I am only given the option to hide it in the App Library. I don’t want to hide it. I want to delete this app. I have no use for it on an iPad and all it does is take up space. Please add an option to delete this again.
