I am very thankful to have this option 24/7 with UPMC providers who always take care of me and prescribe me what I need to feel better — whether it is a prescription medication or simply home remedies that will knock out what I have going on, quickly.

The best care we’ve received and the virtual experience so easy and helpful for our toddler. We had Samantha Ohl she was an absolute dynamite physician! Our two year old needed care for a history of health issues in her eye. Sami was so knowledgeable and extremely kind and sweet to our toddler. Our little girl was smiling at Sami on the virtual screen. We received the care we needed in the comfort of our home and we’re grateful for UPMC virtual child care and Sami. Thank you!!

Five star review of service. I appreciate this online care service very much. I was out in AZ when I needed to consult with a physician and found this very quick, easy and a great solution instead of trying to locate an Urgent Care facility.

Worked like a charm. After you download the app and fill in the information (the birthdate was the only funky part; I had to change the year first before the month or date could be altered) quit the app and open it up again. A few more steps and bang, I had my first video appointment at a fraction of the cost of urgicare! Soooo much faster, too!

Visit today. Kristy Carlisle was excellent and understanding. I appreciate her so much and my care. She listened to me when I talked. In the past my experience with anywhere care had not been good at all. Today was great and I will be back.

Very good app. Initial setup sucked and going thru the process of symptoms took a bit however it was only about 5 min after and I was talking with a PA total time about 15min from symptom questioner to talking with dr. Worth it to me especially since it only cost me $10 and didn’t have to sit in a waiting room for hours

USE THIS FOR COVID-19!! This is the best way!. This app may have saved my life and others, by allowing a doc to video chat with me and assess my situation, which meant I didn’t have to go and possibly expose other patients. I’m in an emergency situation and would have gone to the ER, except I had the smarts to call first. Upon hearing my story, the nurse referred me to this app. I downloaded it quickly, it was easy to use, and it ran me 60 bucks. I highly recommend this for anyone trying to screen or test for COVID-19.

Easy access to a provider!. I used the virtual urgent care for the first time this evening. It was quick, easy, and very efficient. The provider was knowledgeable and helped me with a treatment plan from the comfort of my home - no waiting in a crowded waiting room full of other sick patients. I will definitely use this service again. Thank you!

Insurance. My doctor was amazing! Everything was amazing except i was unable to put a secondary insurance therefore i had to pay money instead of my second insurance picking it up. I have Upmc and Aetna. It would not let me add Aetna into the insurance area. If i wouldn’t have had the 59 dollars I wouldn’t have been seen. This is not acceptable. Everything else about my experience was great. Again- my provider was extremely professional and gave me quality care.

Very convenient. Due to my work schedule I didn't have time to visit my pcp. This anywhere care is very convenient and helpful. This way I don't have to spend extra to go to urgent care and subject myself to the cold weather. I can get treatment from home.

Not quite there yet.. The app did not work with Firefox or Chrome browsers that were run under OSX Catalina. Failure occurred with Chrome and Firefox in the form of an error message that said a plug-in was required. I expect that this app will improve and resolve the plugin problem. My expectation is based on my experience with the MyUPMC app, which can be accessed with Safari, Chrome, or Firefox on my Catalina iMac and has proven invaluable for me.

Excellent compassionate care. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate the care and professionalism of the provider Tera that handled my case. She listened and seemed sincere and her soothing tone and great advice made me feel I was under excellent qualified care . She clearly expressed her concerns and created a plan . Excellent service. Today I am out of town on vacation and have been experiencing UTI symptoms. I was able to connect with a physician quickly and was called in a prescription to the nearest pharmacy from my hotel room. I am super thankful for this, now I can thoroughly enjoy the rest of my vacation!

Convenient, fast, and helpful. I had about a 5 minute wait. It was nice to stay in the comfort of my home. Convenient and helpful. Eased my worry. Technology is wonderful- could see and hear without any issues! Would recommend in the future

Very Grateful. Glad to have this service since I’m disabled. Nice not to have to get showered, dressed, to the car, drive in traffic, find a place to park, hobble to the Drs office, then after the visit go home, then back out when meds are ready at the pharmacy, pick them up, then finally go home, check my blood sugar & blood pressure, then make myself something to eat then take the meds, drink fluids & rest. It’s a bit much when you’re healthy let alone fighting an illness on top of all your other incurable illnesses.

User interface problems. So right now this Write a Review box requires me to use the virtual keyboard on my iPad rather than the Bluetooth keyboard. Also when setting up the virtual appointment the text entry box with the switch signifying that I read and understood the privacy agreement was obscured by the green continue button. Also, my appointment would have been delayed by 30 minutes if I even tried to quickly scan the legal document that is the privacy agreement. I’m dropping the 3 stars for the green continue button obscuring the switch for privacy agreement- if I hadn’t managed to switch it to yes I wouldn’t have been able to use my iPad for the visit. The lack of Bluetooth keyboard support here may not be your fault.

A miracle for out of town urgicare. This is the second time I’ve used this service while traveling. Each time it was excellent, immediate, and really helpful! I would recommend this service to anyone!

Unbelievably awesome and convenient. I filled out a few questions and was connected with an ER physician (Dr. Null) within minutes. She listened to me symptoms and was able to get me an antibiotic the next morning. From sign up to finish was maybe 5 minutes. This is a great option for working parents or anyone else who cant easily make it to an office or urgent care. I will most definitely use again!!!

Anywhere Care. Middle of the night and I’m not feeling well. Urgent cares are not yet open… and then a 3-4 hour wait with COVID patients. Doctor’s office not open yet… quick, professional, reliable and CARING… I so much appreciate the medical help I receive on AnywhereCare!!

Wonderful experience. I always hesitate to take my children out when they’re sick and I dread it even more since Covid. I was hoping to make an appointment via and express care ahead of time and found this video visit. I was so pleased to be able to schedule this rather than make a trip out on a dreary day with a sick child. The provider was caring, concise, and professional, and put us at ease. We will definitely be using this service for our less-urgent medical needs in the future. Children are so often sick, and it’s nice to have the reassurance of a professional, and to know what criteria to look for that may warrant more urgent, in-person care. This experience was excellent and professional care, thank you.

Great experience. Had a sinus infection for almost 2 weeks, it had gotten much worse and I used anywhere care. Jenna was super helpful, efficient and timely, she sent me a prescription right over to the pharmacy when I told her what the problem was. App is easy to use and everything is super convenient!!

In all my years with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and then UPMC for Life I have never had anyone sit down and go over a comprehensive discussion of all my various “ailments. “I will recommend this to others. Appreciated service. This is such a wonderful service to have and use. The doctor was supportive and genuine when I spoke with her. I would definitely recommend someone to try using the virtual service if leaving the house is an issue.

Lifesaver!. I am across country and visiting my fiancé at the moment and am unable to visit my normal health care provider. Ended up getting a UTI and with a few minutes speaking to a provider through this app I was prescribed antibiotics that I will receive in the morning. I would have had to go wait in the Emergency room for hours over a UTI. Very professional medical team and I am so grateful.

So convenient!. I love this app. I’ve used it several times now for various minor ailments, avoided trips to more expensive and germ-filled Urgent Care centers, and had great doctors every time who are compassionate and responsive. Wait time has never been more than five minutes. This app is my favorite thing about having UPMC insurance. It’s great!!

Amazing just simply amazing. Jalina the Er nurse went above and beyond to help me put my mind at ease about my 3 year olds results that I was freaking out about. I read them online and went into panic mode and went through 6 people before I got her! She took her time didn’t rush me and even though she couldn’t help me with my answers she made sure I got a doctor to help me finally! That’s where I got dr Kelly M and she was so amazing and took her time and let me talk about my daughter as long as I needed for her to understand what was happening. She didn’t rush me and she even let me vent to her without rushing me, at 4am!! I can’t thank them enough honestly and I’m a real mom not some fake review to get more people to pay for a service. If you use this app make sure you pick Kelly medure as the provider!!

Great experience!. I had a dental issue on Thanksgiving Day and other than going to the ER my options were limited. I was worried because it was dental related and not a normal medical procedure but I figured what the heck it can’t hurt to try and I’m glad I did. I did my virtual visit from my IPad, it took some time to connect with a person so just be patient. The Physician Assistant was extremely nice, listened to everything I had going on was and addressed my problem so I could celebrate Turkey-day instead of sitting in an ER or not addressing the problem and it getting worse.

This app is amazing. This app is an absolute godsend. Less than two hours from the time I first noticed UTI symptoms to having a filled prescription in hand (at 11:30pm)! Nurse practitioner was friendly and knowledgeable, and while she was quick, I also feel like she took adequate time to explain options and medications. I don’t want to think about what shape I’d be in if I’d had to wait for urgent care or my doctor’s office to open the next morning.

What a Godsend!!!!!. I have a miserable head cold/sinus infection so of course my doctor’s office is closed this week. Instead of having to drag myself to the urgent care center all I had to do was fill out my info and talk to the Doctor over my iPhone camera. It was so fast and easy. SO much easier than going to an appointment. And I don’t have to spread my germs around. My prescription is already ready! I love this app!

Fantastic virtual visit. I was very impressed with the ease and timely ness off our visit. The doctor was able to view my daughter’s information and discuss what treatment was best for her. This was definitely a better option then taking her anywhere and having the possibility of her catching something additional. I will recommend this to everyone I speak to in need of a visit. Also the doctor was great to talk to - made us feel at ease going forward.

Web not friendly but service was excellent.. Web site is NOT user friendly. It took three hours before my husband realized the “duplication of some services” that I kept getting might be because he had to use his MyUPMC password. After he finally was able to get connected to the first doctor, he received a “Doctor has left chat. Then it asked him how to rate his experience- ZERO! After we got the issue resolved, the process went smoothly and we had very good customer care.

Where has this been all my life?!. I’m a couple hours from home. I was nervous about getting in the car, going to the nearest ER, sitting for hours, and maybe getting a massive bill if I didn’t find the right provider in my network. I got connected with a Dr very quickly (couple minutes!), she was very helpful, and I saved all that anxiety about where to go and what the bill would look like.

Initial setup is uncoordinated and clunky. Considering how technology can make life easier, I found the setup of this app disconnected and error prone. After providing my UPMC insurance information to this UPMC Anywhere Care app, I was troubled that I had to manually enter every last character of my insured dependent children’s information into this app. This app DID take the time to connect with my insurance to notify me that I had made an error, but didn’t provide the opportunity to simply import my dependent children’s insurance information correctly and in one step. I have not yet had the need to use the app for its primary purpose, so I cannot comment on it’s performance otherwise.

Surpassed Expectations!. Today I spoke with Kelly, who was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I did not have a long wait and Kelly efficiently assessed my condition. She then briefly discussed her treatment plan and sent them to my pharmacy via escript. The only downside was that this form of visit would not permit prescribing codeine cough syrup for my hacking cough. Kudos to Kelly though!

Not bad app, not the best “doctors”. There are certain doctors on the app who won’t even let you speak. You’re told to use this app instead of wasting a trip to urgent care and it’s cheaper for your insurance. Brittany bohem on here is just rude and crude any time I’ve gotten her. She told me tonight they don’t treat my condition when just a few weeks ago they did. Instead she’s left me with a visit for nothing, even more frustrated, and going to urgent care in person. All I need is an antibiotic. She is truly unprofessional. They need to have more than one doctor on call over night so we have a choice. She is AWFUL AND ALWAYS ON. They have no option for on app comments or concerns so I suppose it goes here. If you download do not use Brittany B!!

Women’s health isn’t as important I guess?. I got rejected 3 times upon trying to be seen for my menorrhagia. I missed work and I was originally going to go to the urgent care near my house but my pain wasn’t subsiding enough for me to feel comfortable enough driving to it. I tried this instead. I waited an hour and was rejected 3 different times with menorrhagia as my reason for being seen. I then had to force myself to go to urgent care where I sat buckled over in pain until I was called. Recommended ibuprofen and given a doctors note. $80 for that. Which is why I tried the app. I figured I’d save a few bucks as I’ve dealt with this since I got a menstrual period and knew all I would get was OTC pain meds and “hope you feel better soon.” I’m used to that by now, but I’m really disappointed that not one doctor took me. Makes it seem like upmc doesn’t care about women’s health. It’s a shame.

Great way to deal with small issues.. This is living in the 21st century! I have little kids, which means I’m always busy and get more than my fair share of colds and sinus infections. Instead of an hour round trip to the nearest urgent care, I got a courteous provider who listened to my symptoms and prescribed me a path out of my sinus infection in under five minutes. No waiting in line, no gross waiting room, no hauling my kids around, no problem.

Virtual visit. I believe this is the best form of appointment when you are alone and unable to drive to an actual in person appointment. I needed medication and advice. The provider was very professional, helpful and kind. I would highly recommend for future patients.

Greatest Invention Ever 😆. Honestly, this truly might be the greatest app to ever be created. It was seriously so easy that it was almost too good to be true. I was able to be seen my a doctor, have my symptoms evaluated, and pick up prescriptions all in less than an hour. And all of this took place right on my phone. Not to mention—on a SUNDAY afternoon! No trip to the ER that would take up my entire day. No dragging my kids with me to see a doctor. Quick and easy and I’m already on my way to feeling better. Thank you UPMC!

Very impressed!. Setting up the app is very easy. I just had to input a few personal details (address, phone number, insurance), and I was ready to go. When requesting an appointment with the doctor, all you have to do is type why you’re requesting an appointment, your pharmacy, and if there are any medical issues they should know. I also opted to add pictures of the problem. I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes before the doctor reviewed my complaint and got back to me. We talked for a minute or two, and that was it. Very simple and to the point. Altogether, the process didn’t take more than 10 minutes (including account set-up), and my prescription was sent to the pharmacy I chose. I’m very pleased and will be using it again!

First time user. I just had pink eye which I got from my little one. I decided to try out the online doctor because it is cheaper than urgent care and I would not have to leave the house. It was quick and easy. No wait time and the doctor was able to answer my questions. I definitely would try it again!

Simple to use and convenient!. I woke up with a swollen cheek this morning from an abscessed tooth. I was dreading taking my two toddlers to an urgent care center. I downloaded the UPMC AnywhereCare app, signed up, and saw a provider within 20 minutes. The RPN I spoke with was very kind and patient, especially when my kids were poking their faces in the screen and asking a billion questions. Lol She sent my prescription to my pharmacy immediately after the visit ended.

Great Option. Answered a few questions and was connected to Dr Yealy. She listened to my issues and was able to provide recommendations and prescriptions immediately. So much better than having to get in my car and drive to urgent care center for treatment. Would highly recommend this App. Very user friendly and Doctor was very nice and helpful.

Terrific!. A coworker used this service and mentioned it to me - so glad she did! Everything was seamless. I was connected with a doctor within a few minutes of setting up my account, and he was able to help with my concern. Would highly recommend and definitely use again!

Best option for minor issues. I have UPMC insurance which really pushes you to go to urgent care which for me has mixed results... usually I have seen people that are not sure how diagnose or have misdiagnosed. Also, I always feel like when I leave I probably contracted something worse then what I had when I went in. This allows me to sit on my couch and quickly see someone that has always seemed more knowledgeable then the urgent care people I have interacted with. The only thing I would also mention is that usually I have an idea what’s wrong with me when I call which may assist with things. Overall it’s the best option for minor issues.

Wonderful. As a UPMC employee, I cannot say enough how wonderful the service is! Fast easy should’ve done it a couple days ago so I could’ve felt better faster. Highly recommend.

First time using the app. I waiting a few minutes and virtually spoke with a doctor in my area. She was very kind and informative, and got the prescription sent to the pharmacy of my choice. If I would’ve have used the app, I’d be waiting half a day in ER, the urgent care near me is a short drive away but don’t have reliable transportation to get me there, and the clinic I got to would’ve given me an appointment months from now. To make a long story short this is very convenient and I did this in the comfort of my bedroom, thank you so much!

useless. not accessible to the blind/visually impaired. the developer response is not satisfactory. The developer claims they have added a accessibility tool for screenreaders to this app, I am using the IOS app on my Iphone SE. Where is the tool? When I try and preregister for an appointment, the first info they ask for is to verify my birthdate in a edit field. This cannot be done, the app kicks the cursor focus out of the edit field and it cannot be used or proceed through the process.

Love love this app. I did set everything up on my laptop first because there are questions that you have to answer. You also have to download a file and allow the camera and microphone access. Set up took me about 30 minutes only because I forgot my password and had to call in for tech support and have it reset. Once I logged in and the tech support walked me through it, it was very easy. You do have to put a type of payment in before you see the doctor. I also downloaded the app on my iPhone and it took less than 2 minutes to see the doctor. She called in the scripts right away and they were ready for pick up in a half an hour at the pharmacy. I love this app!!!

ER vs Virtual Urgent Care. My provider Kathy Christie was awesome! I am a diabetic and have an infection causing concern. I am also a retired healthcare provider and knew that I needed a referral to a specialist. Typically I would have gone to the ER. Useless. I’ve used this app twice. Once for a sinus infection, about eight months later for an ear infection. Both times I was directed to see a doctor in person. Once it was the weekend, the other time it was due to a snowstorm. I don’t understand the point of advertising this service or treatment only to be told seeing an online physician is inadequate. I’d recommend live health online.

Worst app for urgent care!!!. had to set up so many unnecessary info, which is extremely difficult if you’re in pain and needed to see a doctor asap!! Why do I have to setup my payment before I can find a doctor???? Why do I have to enter my address email phone etc. ??? this is for URGENT care isn’t it? And why can’t it connect my account info with myupmc app? BAD UI !!! VERY BAD! WORST medical service App ever.

App works better with WiFi turned off. Could not connect to the physician so I called the Help Desk and they told me to turn off my WiFi. Once I turned off the WiFi, I connected with no problem. It would have been helpful if the app had suggested shutting off the WiFi.

Always helpful!. Around March-May every real I have really bad allergies that affect my ability to wear my contacts and everyone I speak to is always very helpful and informative!

Camera/microphone. Prior to your visit make sure that both camera/microphone are turned on in your settings otherwise you will get kicked out and need to start all over again. Otherwise great app.

Danger - Not all medications presented to patients. This app is dangerous. It does not allow me to add my prescribed medication. It stated Not Found and it has been in the market for years. They pick and choose what they think is important. If you see a UPMC Provider and you could not find your medication or dose of your medication then you must remember to tell the Doctor you see in the video. I have screen shots to prove. This is a Teladoc known issue discovered at two other health systems in Pennsylvania.
