Fail. Doesn’t consider user experience. Brand new app and it doesn’t use keychain for sign in. Add to that cope/paste also not allowed for entering membership number. Why are you making things difficult when apple provides to code to make it simple??? Can’t get past sign in as the security won’t send to my very correct on file cell number.

Worst money app ever. Apart from the regular tech down times, its biggest flaw is that it does not appear to accurate reflect the amount owing in real time. EVERY SINGLE MONTH, the amount owing online ( even accounting for pending debits) differs from what ends up on the statement the very next day! How in the world can you accurately manage spending and avoid going over your limit when what you see online isn’t a true reflection of your spending? This is a serious flaw! Happens every month. If I was assured of getting another credit card from another provider, I would have dumped this expensive card ages ago.

Constant issues. So… constantly saying they can’t show previous transactions anywhere from past 20 minutes to 48 hours. Trying to remember the last time I could actually see my whole history and with the amount of time this app seems to be undergoing maintenance maybe the workers are at the pub instead of the office? And bank transfer details constantly dropping out so I have to refill all the details again

Bell Customer representative did an excellent job. I contacted qantas mastercard to activate my pin bec last friday one cust rep helped me to activate the card but the pin she did not. I went to shop today and i was not able to use it bec my pin is not set up yet. Today I spoke with one cust rep and she said I need to call on Monday so frequent flyer staff can help me. Imagine credit call customer cannot use their card bec a rep cannot help to activate the pin. But I tried to call again and Bell qantas mastercard rep helped and assisted me very well. She helped me to log in to qantas website by resetting my frequent flyer questions. She is very knowledgeable even advice that answers should nver be with spaces which i did not know. Then we went again to wantas money apps and thats where we set up my pin. Bravo… thanks Bell your the best. Keep it up..

Unable to update details. I tried many times to update my email address, but to no avail. The App said that I had to ring up to do this. When I tried to ring up the automated message said to change details online. My Qantas frequent flyer account is updated with the correct details but this does not transfer to the Qantas money. I previously had the Qantas Premium card and was not even able to activate it online. Qantas money is very poor and I do not know who is running their online webpage or App.

Anatoli. For a couple of month I have been using the app. I have a few concerns about this app first one the transactions some time not appear immediately and second one over the weekend the entire app freezes with no information till next business day. The rest is good and not much to be unhappy about. As promised I have my points loaded and still enjoying my wine plenty things to learn

Not bad to start, more needed. I use this app solely with my Qantas Cash card for the offers as my credit cards are not linkable. A great mix of offers come through and the fact they're all short term means they're always fresh and always likely to be something useful for you just around the corner. Main drawback is that it offers no notifications at all. I only know about the offers from checking the app randomly (Though, to be fair, I did receive a marketing email about one once. One.). I'd like to receive notifications about new offers from time to time.

The new Qantas money app is hopeless. Using the previous app was easy and a delight. The new one is a nightmare and does not allow you to perform the actions you could do previously. Under these circumstances the card is now unmanageable and effectively useless. I need to make three currency changes over a few days for my next trip and am certainly not going to phone each time I need to do it. That is ridiculous. There is no added value with the new app just a complete devaluation of what was previously a great product. Please sort it out Qantas.

Worst app ever.. Always crashes, and when I do get in it has no transactions, or I can’t access statements. The app has never worked properly for the past two years. Occasionally I get a message asking if I’m enjoying the app, I click no to give feedback and the app crashes. Ironic? On a side note- why can’t you email a statement to me? Every month I have to battle with the App or website (that’s a while other disaster) to try to download. If it weren’t for the Qantas Points I would close this account.

All your credit transactions in one app. Love this app! It not only contains all my credit card transactions but also any other bank accounts that you wish to include. Like how I can assign categories to each transaction to help manage my finances and budget. The best part of course is it’s integrated with my Qantas Frequent Flyer account providing up to date information about my points and credit status.

Terrible glitches that actually have an impact. Very frustrating as there is a bug that means my remaining balance is glitching and showing my pending balance instead. So I’ve actually paid off the last statement in full but the remaining balance doesn’t not Indicate this and it actually keeps increasing (which is not possible). It’s frustrating as I didn’t know how much I’d actually paid so kept putting more money in before realising I’d actually paid it off and it was a glitch. Quite unethical as its stressing me out saying it’s money owing when it’s actually not due at all.

Forced onto app, does not do what I want. For some time, I have used my Qantas FF card to store multiple currencies for use overseas. The website was easy to use and I could transfer money to my husband’s card if necessary. I have tried multiple times over the last few times to transfer some UK pounds to him as he is in the UK (and have been forced to try and do this through the app) but all I get is a message that Qantas Cash is not available and to try again later. This is extremely frustrating and unhelpful. I doubt I will continue using the card due to the problems with the app.

No transaction notifications!!. Every day I log into this app to see the message that the app is experiencing technical difficulties. Usually this just means some repayments I make to my account take a while to appear so not a big deal but getting annoying The biggest issue for me is the lack of transaction notifications when your qantas money card is used. This is a critical security feature that most banking apps have had for many years and has enabled me to quickly lock other bank cards when used fraudulently in the past.

Awesome app. Had problems at first opening the app but the app support team were amazing & spent lots of time trying to figure out the problem & it turned out I only needed to turn my phone on & off. The customer service was first rate & the app is easy to use, well designed & everything I need :)

App is okay. The credit card had a great joining bonus, but when are you going to support Apple Pay? Not sure how I feel about Qantas having my password to access my banking data, maybe I’ll check it again after open banking is here. But then again, you still don’t have Apple Pay. Don’t have a method to setup a direct debit to pay my credit card. A little disappointing as I came from Amex, and I can just press a button and pay with my bank account, all from the app. Instead Qantas money shows me a paper form to print out from the app...

Absolute rubbish. Hah, what a joke. This app serves a purpose, but it’s not to help you track your spending.. (though it does give you a pretty graph) it’s not to give you anymore information than what you already have in your banking apps. It’s not to help you “make smarter decisions every time”The purpose this app serves is to sell you over priced jocks from the Qantas store and high interest rate credit cards. The are at least 10 apps on the store that do a better job. All my own opinion ofcourse.

Keeps crashing. Keep losing access to the card offers where they totally disappear. Reinstall the app and it works for a few days and then lose everything again. Account balances are constantly not available and there is forever more updates or maintenance happening which closes down access to everything. When it works the app is good, but constant glitches. Please fix this so that the app is actually worth using

Horrible. Absolutely disgusted by what you have done with this app. I have used this card/account for numerous years for travel, including a 6 month backpacking trip in Europe. I raved about the Qantas card and app to all my friends because it was so easy to use and so easy to transfer between currencies. I even recommended it to my grandparents which would be a terrible decision now as I cannot even use this as a tech savvy 23 year old. You have taken away all the easy/convenient accessories of this app. The fact that I have to make a bank transfer or bpay into my own account when transferring into a different currency is ridiculous, and paying for that transfer to be instant is even more ridiculous. I loved this app because I could instantaneously transfer any amount into a different currency based on which country I was in at the time, however you have taken that ability away. I am travelling next month and will be cancelling my qantas account and opting for a new travel card with a different company.

Transfer from one currency to another. The new app seems to have lost the ability to transfer from one currency loaded on the card, to another currency. For instance I’m trying to load NZD and want to use the AUD I have already loaded, but it’s only allowing me to transfer new funds in. Plus unless you want Qantas to know your complete financial history, DO NOT connect your other accounts. Qantas purchased a data analytics and AI company a few years back and it’s not clear how this info is used or if it is sold. Read the Ts and CS carefully and stay up to date when ever they change the ts and cs.

Terrible. Ridiculous amount of security questions that can’t be answered. All I want to do is view my statement. I’ve been locked out of my account twice . Get rid of all these stupid gateways. I know my first address, my MILs maiden name and my first pet. Apparently I’m wrong! Who could forget the eight alphanumeric password past that…. Just let me view my statement!!!

What’s the point - I don’t understand. I really don’t see why I need an app to do half the things that the website does and takes up space on my phone when I can simply go straight in on my web browser and get much more functionality in detail. There has to be a benefit to an app. Simply put - a Safari shortcut is much better. At least bring the website functionality into the app please.

Great card, woeful app. This app is beyond terrible. For months now it has been issue after issue. Not seeing balances, not seeing transactions, can’t activate new cards or view statements, constant outages to ‘fix’ things. Honestly they are lucky there doesn’t seem to be regulations on credit provider apps otherwise they would be in constant breach. I’ve logged complaints with no responses. The card its self is great but the user experience in the app is simply non-existent.

‘Experiencing Some Issues’. When is the Qantas Money app NOT experiencing issues? Rarely, in my experience - app works fine when it works, but half the time I open it I get a note about technical issues and ‘unavailable’ where current balance and available credit should be. Get your act together, Qantas, this app is so rubbish I’m planning to get rid of my credit card and get a new one with a different bank just so I no longer have to deal with it this nonsense.

Worst banking app I’ve used. UPDATE: I received a developer response from Qantas Money following my review. This is great as it says to me that they are taking customer sentiment and feedback seriously. Since I posted this original review, the app has been performing much better, but there is still some obvious user flow issues where some things break or can’t be accessed. It’s still the worst banking app I’ve used, but I’ve only used about 6 so there could be worse out there. Thanks for the response and look forward to more updates. Upgrades to 2 stars as performance has improved and balance always visible. I’m not really sure how the average ratings for this app are largely positive. This app is quite frankly terrible. The app experiences “technical issues” around 3-4 times a week, where several basic functions don’t work (like your balance, transactions, or statements). When this happens, you basically can’t use the app. The offers section also only works about 10% of the time, though i don’t use that much. What’s more, often the balance is incorrect, and a couple of times the app has even said my card has been cancelled, before correcting itself several hours later. It also asks me to log in to access different parts of the app, even though I’m already logged in. Honestly if I knew how poor this app was compared to the other ones I use, I may not have got this credit card… I’ll know for next time.

Good Product, could improve.. Overall I like the product and use it whenever I travel. It’s convenient to pay in local currency and with no fees and to be able to top up your card when the ForEx is favourable is also handy. Bonus QFF points is also a good thing, though using it in Australia offers little to no value due to poor points to spend ratio. The new app and website (long overdue) seems pretty good, so happy to continue to support the product. Apple Pay would be better, would save having to carry the card outside my travel wallet and could use from my Apple Watch as I do with all my other cards. Being issued by Heritage Bank however I’m not holding my breath - they are one of the few remaining holdouts of Apple Pay. So not full marks, but overall pretty good.

Awesome app! Few things could make it better.... This is a fantastic app, I can finally have my bank accounts linked into one place and have a holistic view of it. I used to have to manually punch in data every month on another app, but not anymore! User interface is nice and clean as well. A function that would make this app even better, would be the ability to show users the calculated Net amount of each month; Income (money in) and Expense (money out). Then be able to show a graph (or any type of visualisations) of the Net amount of each month so users can easily visually monitor their monthly spendings better.

Can’t delete cancelled credit cards!!!!. I have used this app for many years now, both old and new version with little problems so far. My biggest issue is that you can’t delete any old Qantas Premier Platinum Credit Cards that have been cancelled and replaced with a new one. The old card still displays on the app. I have contacted Qantas Money a couple of times who have been no help at all.

Good app to manage multiple bank accounts.. After the recent update it is a lot better! My only problem is that it won’t connect to my super fund but it isn’t too much of a problem for me. Thank you to the developers for fixing the duplicate accounts issue.

Great in theory. I recently got a new Qantas card and thought the way they allow you to link bank accounts in would be a good system to manage using a credit card against my budgeted spending limits to ensure I didn’t go too overboard at any one time while being able to earn points. Unfortunately, the app is extremely buggy and the “Sorry, Qantas Money isn’t available right now” error message is quickly becoming the bane of my existence ... Connected accounts seem to randomly duplicate themselves and I apparently have thousands more dollars than in reality (impressive to show others but not actually practical) and even simple functions throw the above error. I’d love to give it a try again when all the bugs are ironed out.

Transactions are being duplicated. I had a duplicate transaction on my credit card which prompted me to call the business where the transaction took place. They confirmed there was no double payment so I called Qantas Money. Qantas Money staff confirmed there only a single payment was made, but there is a known issue in the app where some transactions are duplicated for only some customers. If a duplicate transaction is found, contact Qantas Money first. I was disappointed the app didn’t alert customers to this known issue in the app.

Missing core feature?. I’ve tried to use the app to manage my Qantas Travel Money card. However I cannot seem to find out where on the app I go to load money onto the card. Instructions say you can do this via app or website. The website has buttons to be able to do that - which is what I’ve done - but this feature seems to be missing from the app. I would be happy to be proven wrong!

Has all the functionality, but buggy. At least 50% of the time when I open up the app it will fail to load one or more of: my Qantas points balance, my Qantas status credits or the available balance on my credit card. The last one happens least often, but is the *one* feature you need to work. With an annual fee that is 3-6x other cards, you think they’d have the budget for a reliable app. Hopefully it improves over time

Not user friendly. I always seem to have to log in with the same credentials over and over again The App cannot store my frequent Bpay accounts and I have to enter the entire info each time and can lead to incorrect information being loaded Only portrait view is available which is a pain when using an iPad

It needs Apple Pay!. For such an expensive annual fee, I am very surprised that this credit card doesn’t have Apple Pay. 🙁 Apple Pay (and it’s Google counterpart) is such a necessity in this day and age. I was going to close my other credit card account when I opened this one, but since the other one has Apple Pay, I am now running on both accounts.

Baffled by 5 star reviews. How on earth can this app receive 5 stars. It’s probably the worst banking/finance app I’ve used. Generally to get the bare bones of functions to work I need to completely uninstall and reinstall once every two weeks. There are no way to save BPay details in the app so you need to enter them new every time if you need to bpay something. The Qantas integration is broken and displays old and outdated personal details when you check your details. The app instructs you to go to the Wantas website to update but details there are updated and correct. Hopefully with NAB taking over the credit side of things it will improve. But the woeful app is almost enough to make me move to another credit card provider.

Overseas and can’t get through to report hacked card. Honestly I tried phoning umteen times and call drops every time. Even trying to read the number on the back of the card is nearly impossible! This is the 4th time my card has been hacked. Don’t happen with my wise card which I use more often. There security measures seen to work but they don’t bother to phone you once you alert them by responding to their email re dodgy activity

Can’t change default currency. You now can’t change your default currency through the app. Have to make a call. Also requires SMS tokens to log in. That’s no good to me while overseas using an in-country sim! I’ve always used my Qantas card while travelling because I can transfer small amounts of cash to it in local currency and not freak out too much if it’s stolen. With this new app I’ll take a hard pass and just get a companion card for my credit card - the slightly higher fees more than make up for not having to call the Filipino call centre at international rates while performing mind-warping feats of mental arithmetic to work out if it’s business hours or not..

Inconsistent. Several transactions are not appearing since the last update and the master account cannot see some of the transactions of the supplementary card even though they appear on the app if logged in using the supp card info. Inconsistency like that makes managing money extremely difficult. When it’s working it’s okay, if a little slow, but technical glitches like this adversely affect the usability of any app.

Disappointing change. The obsolete Travel Money app worked like a charm when you needed to change the default currency on your travel money card. With this new app it has become frustrating and impractical. You can no longer log into the app, or even the relevant Qantas website, to change the default currency. Instead, a phone call is required where you will be asked for your 16 digit card number, email address, full name, date of birth, first two letters of your mother’s maiden name and mobile phone number just to change the currency on your travel money card from AUD to Euro. The reason I was given for this change for for “added security”. I found it all over the top. When travelling overseas and needing to access multiple currencies having to make a phone call to change the default currency is unreasonable and impractical. Alternatives exist where you can change currency via apps and websites. After our next trip my business will be going elsewhere.

Increasing Limits. It’s very disappointing that the Qantas Money doesn’t give you the opportunity to instantly apply for a limit increase, either online or over the phone like some of the other more avant- grade card providers do!

Qantas Premier Credit Card - great as long as you don’t try to use overseas. I gave up on this credit card as the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever endured. I know - that’s saying something. Every time I tried to use it overseas it would be blocked as a suspicious transaction. After blocking, Qantas Credit Card then SMS you telling you to ring their international number. When you call it, you discover it’s a wrong number. So you google a national phone number and phone them. This costs - remember you are likely to be ringing from your mobile and having to pay exhorbitant global roaming phone and data charges. I was phoning from Guatemala and Belize. When you do get through to a call centre you find its staffed by competent Citibank staff. They generally sympathise and restore the card. Then the very next time I’d go to use it, it would be blocked again. And so the stupidity rolls on. There’s a serious problem with this Card’s risk management leadership and nobody is being held to account for it. I eventually had to complain through the relevant government authority before I could get an apology of sorts from these incompetents. It’s amusing and ironic that Qantas operates a Card that works as long as you don’t use it while travelling.

Update on app required. App is very basic compared to other apps, it should show amount owing on once payment is made and deducted/owing amount on the side for all payments. It’s hard to keep track on what was the amount owing when last payment was made. Please update :) other then that it’s a good app

Laggy and intentionally deceptive. The Current Balance does not take into account funds which have been charged but not cleared which is misleading for understanding the amount one is in debt. Additionally the credit available and credit balance should total to equal the available credit limit of the card but it does not. This is also misleading as you need to manually add any uncleared charges to the credit balance. Please update the way Credit balance is calculated to include all transactions that have been processed regardless of whether they have cleared or not. This will go a long way to giving people clear information about their card usage and total debt. Thanks

Funds transfer hasn’t worked for days. I’ve been trying to transfer AUD between two Qantas Money cards for a few days now. All I get is “we are having technical difficulties please try again later”. All details are entered correctly, I’ve tried using different computers to attempt, have tried the website and the app, and have cleared my cache (ie all the things!) but still won’t work. Frustrating and renders one card useless. No support available when I called the card support line either. Please sort out!

Was good now rubbish. The old travel money app was quick to log in and easy to use now just frustratingly slow and clunky. What a ridiculous idea having to link my other bank accounts to this. My other banks have perfectly good apps if I want to look at my balances. What the hell has it got to do with you Qantas what my other bank account balances are. I just want this app for my travel money. Honestly now after this “upgrade” I think I’m going to ditch using this card. It’s not worth the frustration for a few measly QFF points

Pretty good, but could be great. I find this app easy to use and navigate. One frustration I have is that I can’t update my contact details (address) through the app. I have tried repeatedly over the past year to update my address (I moved house twice in that time) but always receive an error message saying “Something went wrong. Sorry, we’re experiencing some technical difficulties. Please try again or come back later.”

New Qantas Money Card. I found out by chance that the “old” app was no longer current!! Have installed the “new” app but i now can’t get anything to work ! Not sure what I’ve done, but it no longer shows me my old balance from the other travel card and I can’t seem to move forward and link anything !! Yesterday I spent over 2 hours trying to solve issue hanging onto help line which did not solve anything for me I’m not happy that a card which was easy to use, easy to load up with money has now become a frustrating card that I can’t seem to work out I’m not very savvy with technology but this was not a good idea Qantas !!😞

Very disappointing. As a user of the old app for many years, I am unable to comprehend the forced change to a product that does not have the functionality of the previous version. It is clunky and difficult to navigate. I can’t change the default currency as I move from country to country or transfer to my husband’s account. The fact that a phone call is now required is insane and too difficult. Verification codes every time I log into my computer is lover the top. Once I return from this trip, I won’t be using Qantas cash again. Bring back the old app or sort this one out with an update soon or you’ve lost me.

Easy app, but some basic features don’t work. The app is quite neat and easy to use, however ever since it’s changed from cash to money I cannot do a instant load from my debit card. I tried to contact the service and they tried to check and resolve, the only suggestion was to delete and reinstall the app, which didn’t help at all. For now I have to use computer login to perform the load, it’s annoying… other than that it works okay.

Lots of bugs, wrong data, no search. For years a major bug which shows funds available in a partner card account incorrectly is not fixed. Spending category auto assignment fails sporadically or doesn’t assign a category at all. A search feature is missing, which makes it almost impossible to find a historic spending again. Statements can‘t be provided to partner card account holders. Bpay transfers can‘t be scheduled in advance. Lots of room for improvements!

Works infrequently. I’ve had this app and card for years but can’t always use it because they seem to think shopping from stores like David Jones is dodgy and looks fraudulent. When I’ve phoned Heritage Bank to get these checked they refer the call to Qantas FF who say they can’t do anything about it, it’s up to Heritage Bank. The card also doesn’t work for international online payments as it’s not a 3D version so I’ve missed out on many thousands of points.
