Coding your car simplified. It’s pretty amazing nowadays that you can control most aspects of your car through an app on your phone. I was initially going to use e-sys, but this is much simpler. The most used and common features are not in German, except in expert mode. I was hesitant in spending $30 for an app, but it’s worth it if you want to customize your car and have it your way.

Quick & Painless. I was very hesitant in doing any type of coding on vehicle since I’m not a Certified BMW mechanic, however after watching several videos I was finally able to gain the confidence that was needed. Today I spent a total of 15 min coding options that should’ve came standard on my car. If your thinking about doing some coding on your vehicle I would strongly recommend this app...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well worth the money. The ability to change just a few things makes this worth the investment. When compared to other companies who charge $35+ for each item programmed this is a bargain. I’ve asked two questions and customer service replied within a day.

Fantastic. No, really! It’s fantastic!. This app, combined with the bluetooth/wifi plug, is very easy to use and automagically creates a backup for you. Note: I sat my iPhone down during the coding process and it went to sleep. I lost connection to the adapter and instantly saw 10 new errors in the notifications. After reconnecting, the app found those errors and corrected them with the latest backup. I only needed basic mode for my mods, but expert mode is available. Worth every penny.

Worked once and not any more. I bought a new Supra two weeks ago and then traded it in for a 3.0 Premium. I was able to use the OBDLink CX on the first car but now on the second car it doesn’t work it only flashes green and red… not Bluetooth. There does t seem to be any reset options. How do I get this to work??

Excellent Application to Configure Your BMW. I love both the BMW applications by this developers. It is so easy to use with my Veepeak OBD Check via Bluetooth. I just programmed my remote and car button for the lift gate to CLOSE also. Why this wasn’t set like this at the factory is beyond my knowledge, but it’s super convenient. There are literally a a hundred settings which can be modified depending on the model and features. Simple things like having the remote open all 4 doors, etc. Great App and updated frequently. Thank you.

Decent app. Disappointing customer support. The app itself is decent when it stays connected to the car and doesn’t drop out while making changes before coding. A German-English translation of German terms found in the expert mode would be useful. My experience contacting support was disappointing, as if the customer support representative wanted to make the least possible effort to assist.

A solid app which does the job, with excellent customer service.. I looked at BimmerCode to take care of an issue in my BMW. Even before I bought it, Stephan replied promptly to a number of questions I had about it. Still, I had some trepidation about the whole idea of coding. Not only is the support excellent, but the app is surprisingly easy to use. I applied the fix I needed, but also ended up tweaking a couple of settings that were minor annoyances in both my car and my wife's Mini. Definitely worth the price!

ENet Cable Problems. Generally the app has been working well. It’s been about 1 year since I’ve used the app to make some changes. I bought a new adapter to lightning connection as that is the fastest in the past. I do have the newest Veepeak Bluetooth controller but can’t enter expert mode to check for some coding changes. Maybe has to do with Apple’s latest updates?

Absolutely great.. As one who knows about coding and how complicated it can be, I can tell you that the developers did amazing work and simplify the process to a point a kid can do it. I also follow their beta versions so I can see what’s coming and it just getting better and better. Highly recommended if you want to tweak your car with awesome features.

Awesome app - great developer support. I was introduced to this app via the bmw forums to change settings in my X3MC. The app is well written, has a good user interface, and the developers are quick to respond to bug reports and actually provide fixes! Bravo - well done!

Amazing For Coding i3 REx. Coding the i3 REx has allowed me to go on 600+ mile road trips, climb mountain passes at 70 MPH, and go longer distances between fuel stops by increasing the fuel tank capacity from 1.9 Gallons to 2.4 Gallons. Coding the i3 has greatly increased the usability of the car, and allowed it to be much more usable in challenging situations. So far, I have: -Increased electronically limited fuel tank capacity to 2.4 Gallons -Added the Range Extender Menu for the Hold State Of Charge mode -Set the default drive mode to ECO PRO I would highly recommend this app to people with any supported BMW’s since there are so many different modules that can be configured!

Great, but hidden fee. I took two stars away because there is a $40 fee to make the app useful that is not advertised until you actually try to use the app. Otherwise it is great. It makes basic coding super simple and even more advanced coding is easier than with the computer programs. Definitely worth the $70 that I spent for the app and dongle, I just wish they were honest about the cost

Does all I hoped. Very pleased. Main reason I purchased this app is to enable rolling up my Mini’s windows from the remote key fob. But I found many other settings to tweak. Including 5 swipes from the wipers when using the washer and disabling the warnings when I use the backup camera. I have a 2021 F56 Cooper S and it works perfectly.

Easy and Reliable. The ability to edit the original settings to allow me to customize my BMW X1 is truly amazing. Worth the price at double the cost. Backups built in just in case something goes wrong is valuable and well thought out.

Worked well with BMW i3. Recoding my i3 with this app gave my car the ability to go on much longer trips than the original coding. I can now drive the car hundreds of miles between cities using the Rex, and then commute around the area using the batteries only. This recoding alone is worth hundreds of dollars and more to me. I can now run up and down mountain passes at 70 miles an hour. That would have been impossible with the original coding. It would have been a very disappointing car for me if BimmerCode had not unlocked these features. I used the kiwi 3 adaptor with the app and had no trouble.

Love this app. Not only is it nice that the demo version allows you to explore the capabilities you have at your fingertips once you connect to your car, but once you’ve made the $40 purchase you can make all sorts of changes to your vehicle. My iPad would not identify my Bluetooth OBD unit, but BimmerCode still found it and connected flawlessly. This is a well thought out app and I recommend it is part of the toolkit of every BMW car owner.

Amazing app and support. This team is incredibly helpful with support and help on issues I ran into after using the app. Responded to every email and walked me through getting everything right even added features to make sure I was able to fix my problem. Highly recommend

Good, but does not use iCloud for Backups. I recommend not making too many changes at once, as often your car may not like the changes you do. Doing a few at a time then driving around for a few days gives you a chance to ensure the programming changes are received well by the car. If not, you’ll have to reset the module according to the backup you have (saved on your phone - not iCloud). My one request for this app would be that they would make backups save to iCloud Drive so that they are not lost when you switch devices.

I was nervous, until it worked!. I had done a lot of research between Beamerlink and Bimmercode vs Carly. I decided to go with this one because it was a one time purchase. Also the veep peak adapter was also less expensive. As soon as I plugged it in and hit the connect button it worked right away did everything I wanted it to do and I couldn’t be more thrilled. All in both apps and the adapter about $95. It has already paid for itself in the first 30 minutes of use. I couldn’t give a stronger recommendation. I have a 2014 BMW X3 and a 2016 BMW X1.

Simply amazing. This app is worth every penny. Seriously if you have a newer BMW and you don’t have this app snd an Obd cx then WHAT PLANET are you living on??? There are so many things you can do with this app it’s crazy from changing interior lights ADDING DRIVING MODES cough:; sport +:: cough on cars that BMW gets to decide for us that it would be too much fun to let them use sports + so we’re gonna turn off … not in my house!!! I do what I want with MY vehicle won’t be hindered by what bmw thinks is proper for my 3 series. Plus adding sports + mode made the 330i a keeper among all the other parts I’ve added … get this app stop living under a rock and enjoy. Better know German though because it won’t change to English in expert mode is my only real negative criticism of the app … not enough to mske this app lose a star though. Stop reading my stupid post and download the app you are gonna love it

Excellent work.. I have done some coding in my BMW F30 and it was easy to use. I turned on Video in motion, shorten Seatbelt wanting time from 100 seconds to 5 seconds, Rolling up windows and sunroof with key fob. Turned OFF disclaimer. There are lots of other stuff that that you can turn on and off but I would recommend to do anything outside basic mode. I wish developer will add Battery registration because I know I will have to change battery soon and I either have to buy Carly or learn e-sys.

Some issues but great customer support.. I have a 2018 G30. Downloaded Bimmercode and had access to almost everything but the app couldn’t read my headunit. I put a support ticket in and they responded pretty quickly with a Beta version to try via TestFlight. Worked like a charm and I suspect the bug will be fixed with the next version release. Great app but was really impressed with their support.

A great person created a great app. This app and this person need way more than 5 stars. The app does everything it says and even more. The response of Stephen is remarkable. It is the first time I came across such an excellent customer service. Words are not enough for an accurate description for the app, the developer and the customer support. I highly recommend this app.

Great App!. I love this app and also bought BimmerLink by the same writers. These apps have saved me hundreds of dollars in dealer costs. Just replacing the battery and coding it myself saved ver $250 dollars! Dealer wanted $468. Battery was $178 and the cost of the apps. Total time less than half an hour. Plus this app allows you to customize so many of your cars features. Also fast friendly support when I had a question!

Solved my Mini issues. I bought my Mini and the windows would roll down with the key.. what about when it starts pouring rain out of nowhere? Problem solved. Also has many more options. I recommend this if you own a Mini! Not to mention that I’ve spend upwards $500. On Canbus and less and I bought this app and don’t even need the canbus. Thank you thank you thank you for this wonderful app!!

Killer app.....better Cust Srvc/support. We all have downloaded apps before but I had never had such a great engagement with a developer of an app than I’ve had with Bimmercode and Stephen. Emails are answered fairly quickly and with the answer you hope. The app is amazing and has done most of the things I have been looking for. It automates many of the processe for coding my G20 that I have been looking for. It also updates a regular with new shortcuts every few months. Love the app love the support more.

Great. FYI for any e61owners.... ...my 2010 e61's headlight washers now go off when I push the rear hatch open button--having tried to turn them off. No joke. Sprays right in my eye if I'm standing at the driver door reaching down to hit the button. Did I get hacked? Great troll on BMW's part. I've confirmed it's not this app's fault. Fwiw turning the headlight washers back on fixes the tailgate switch issue. Just. Weird.

Great way to optimize your car’s settings. For less than $80 total, app plus wireless dongle, BimmerCode has been worth every penny. All the coding you’re likely to do without some serious study and preparation is still modified to a few button clicks. Even when I reviewed various coding cheat sheets on blogs, there is very little more I’d want to do. Maybe a bit of nav route stuff. If you want a bit of customization without the risk of messing up your car, this is the way to go.

Too pricy. At first it was $30 for the full version then it went to $40 and now its $50 what did they add to it it make it worth that much for that price it should include the part that gets plugged into the car. I can’t honestly say it worth spending that amount of money for an app the you are going to use maybe once and then never use it again. If it was $30-$35 I would get it then.

Coding made easy. App gives access to many common features and customizations that dealers could alter but don’t. Easy to use. Support answers questions within 24 hrs even on weekends. The only missing feature is capability to customize default driving mode.

Thanks so much for this app. Coded my car with a laptop a few years ago and such a hassle, now laptop program doesn’t work anymore, so had to find an alternative, app is awesome, thanks so much for this app, really easy to use and worth the price, coded the stuff I wanted in less than 10 minutes

Most Useful and Money-Saving Apps I Owm. If you drive a BMW or Mini, you need this App, and should pay for the full version immediately. This app has saved me thousands of dollars in repairs, fees and time in order to get my car customized or fixed. The first time you replace your battery, this app just paid for itself and the adapter needed for the app to change your car.

Worth every dollar!!!. I have done so much cool stuff to my 14 x5 35xi with this app in a day and a half . I deactivated the auto up down motion the steering wheel does when the car is turned on or off. Change the ambient light colors around and so many cool other things I could go on and on . This app is absolutely positively worth every single dollar.

I love this app. Buy with confidence! I used in multiple bmws no issue so far. You need to know what are you doing, why you are changing the codes. No issue or error! Best app in the market. Time gone when bmw owners used to connect laptop with windows xp. Buy this app and you need wifi based OBD II connector to connect with you iphone. Make sure disable your carrier service if you receive calls on your phone during processing it will give you error.

BMW i3 upgrades. With this tool, coupled with the VGate Bluetooth OBDII connector, allowed me to fully customize my car. I was able to add 30 miles of range, add a warm up sequence for the remote which was eliminated when the bmw app 2G support stopped, eliminate annoying warning alarms and customize heated seat temperatures. The car now acts the way I like it to!

Works as advertised. This app and the VGate dongle work well and as advertised. This app is not as comprehensive as other apps like ICarly for BMW but the cost is significantly less as well. There is no access to engine ECU with this app only interior headunit, dash, lights etc. Follow the instructions and the app is intuitive, fast and easy to use. I recommend only changing one or two things per coding session to keep track of changes. Well worth the cost!

Worth every penny!!!. I have had an iPhone ever since the 3GS and this is the first review I have ever felt a need to write. This app is awesome... I used to have a Pontiac G8 which are made in Australia and I remember looking with a buddy on how to remove the video in motion limit... A company out of Australia wanted 400 bucks for the unit to disable it and then you had to send the thing back... For my BMW I paid 20 bucks for the OBD sensor and 27 bucks for this app and I have already coded about 8 things for my car.... Heck I would have paid 27 bucks just to get rid of the annoying nag screen you get when you start the car before you can change the radio station.... Worth every penny!! Thanks for the great app!!! PS the Carly device and app are a rip off!!

Great but strong. This is the best customization app I’ve ever used before on any car. I’ve coded in expert mode using some great features I’ve changed my start up animation to Alpania and says m5 on dash. A lot of features I already had but I have compass on cluster and I drive now with many more options. I just wish this was more known to many people so I could share with others.

Phenomenal App!!. Hard to believe that BMW Disabled all the relevant and cool features that the car have , before selling to the consumers. But thanks to the genius techs from Bimercode , I am now able to enable and enjoy all the features available in my 328i xdrive, which is a tons!The app with the recommended ODB, work flawless ! Incredible! the possibilities are endless , we can customize exactly the way how we want them to drive, there are so many features that you don’t realize that your car has when you buy, and now we have Bimercode that open up all those features, is outstanding!! Not connecting. 2014 BMW X1 (not 2015). I have Iphone with 11.3.1. I just reloaded bummer. I just restarted my phone. I have Bluetooth on. I have airplane mode on. No connections to Bluetooth including my tile app. No Wi-Fi on. Obd2 device is nee and works on other apps but I even deleted all other obd2 apps before reloading the bimmer app etc. put key fob on and pressed start button on bmw twice. Start up car diagnostic shows so car is ready. Put obd2 veepeak blue 4.0 in and blue light comes on obd2 device is on. Note that carplay is in USB setting and no Wi-Fi connection or Bluetooth connection to phone but veepeak shows up under 'other' category in Bluetooth screen on phone. When connecting bimmercode says press start button 3x but I press twice without break on. I've also tried to get connection by starting car before connecting the obdm. Can’t find my previous purchase.. I purchased the premium BimmerCode subscription a few years ago when I got my car, I even bought the OBD adapter they recommended. I attempted to use it again after some time to change a few things and now it’s saying I don’t have it purchased. I reached out to the support team at BimmerCode and they “have no record of purchase” and won’t help me out on figuring this out… how is that possible when my car has been tuned using it for the past 4 YEARS.

Excellent. An excellent app that simplifies coding. Note that no one should attempt coding without some knowledge. Just be careful. I made some very nice changes just using the built in options. The built in options allow the user to check one option that may require multiple steps in the background. This brings coding to the masses. Expert mode looks good for those who choose to take a deeper dive.

Best BMW coding app. It’s the best app I worked with. Great features. Automatic backups created which let you restore factory settings. More options available through expert mode, but many things there in Getman language. Some kind of manual or guidance would be beneficial. I wish they (same company) created more apps for different car brands. Great Tech Support. Usually will answer during 24 hrs.

Not as useful as it could be. The idea behind this app, and it’s a good one, is that changing options in your BMW should be push-button easy. The alternative until now has been to use a complex, cracked version of BMWs own software to make changes in the cars. Unfortunately, this app fails to deliver on that vision. For at least some of the the things it offers to change in my car series, the only way to undo them is to restore a backup of the ECU. This means that if you want to try combinations of settings you must use point-in-time backups to undo some settings while others are simply turned off in the app. IOW, there are two completely separate, unrelated user interaction styles in the app. That’s a problem for users who become responsible for figuring out which backup matches which state of the ECU. The developer is responsive in email but has indicated he has no plans to fix this in the near term. Until then, you should probably use E-Sys and avoid this app since at least the latter has exactly one user interface, albeit a complicated one. Otherwise you’d better take notes and screenshots of what you did when in the app.

Keeps making me reconnect. So annoying while coding. One researchers while coding and reviewing notes. If you leave the app and come back it resets and forces you to reconnect sometimes. Not all the time mind you. Just some times. This adds 30 minutes to a 4 minute thing. Just crazy. Why? Why would the developer allow this for UX? Such a waste of time it makes one consider just going back to esys.

Not as full featured for G80 as I expected. I am perfectly happy to have purchased this app for nothing other than disabling active sound design, which was very straightforward. However, I’ve found that most if not all of the other functions are already selectable within iDrive on the G80 (I have iDrive 8). In addition, there are no instrument cluster coding functions available (probably because I have iDrive 8), which is slightly disappointing. However, all of that would have been gravy for me, I’m happy just to have been able to get rid of ASD.

Works great. This worked great for me! I did not use expert mode so I can’t comment on that but the basic menus had everything I wanted. It takes time to go through everything. I made some changes that I didn’t like so I had to use my backup file to go back to the original options, which I did with no issues. If you contact support, they respond within 24 hours.

Customer Service is TERRIBLE!. I have been unable to use the app on my new iPhone. I paid for the full version and can use it on an iPad but not my iPhone. After several email messages and tech support sending the same “canned instructions” each time (of which I tried 3 times) support person told me to contact Apple. I contacted Apple and they said there was nothing they could do and they could not refund my money because it had been too long. BimmerCode wants your money but could care less if it doesn’t work :(.

Very well done useful app.. This is a well supported app for safely coding your BMW. It allows you to safely change and adjust features on your car and ensures the current state is backed up prior to update. The developer was extremely responsive to my question and is very engaged in adding options to the existing feature set. I would suggest adding a “basic” mode for the least sophisticated users that hides the underlying structure of which modules you are actually updating, and just lets you check off common functional changes that the end user is likely to want to change. A sample list would be: Video in motion Mirror fold on locking Sport display Brake force flashing Keyfob close rear hatch (x series) Keyfob close windows/roof Etc. Also I found the app doesn’t like to initially communicate with the WiFi obd2 dongle. If I go into the WiFi and renew the lease once or twice, it then consistently connects to the dongles WiFi existing connection (iPhone 7). I’m assuming this may be able to be tweaked by an app update.

Easy to use and packed with features. Great little app for activating or adjusting simple features or for more advanced users there’s the Expert option which more allows in-depth coding (same as INPA)

Too expensive for unknown results.. Paid the recoding works so I’ll keep my money. Should be more up front or a lot cheaper. I’d buy the app for $10 for the 5 minutes I’ll use Just

Essential for any BMW owner. Great app and very easy to use and set-up. Coding made easy. I used on F20 LCI and made some changes from heated seat temps to turning idle stop off. Also a expert mode available for more detail coding, recommend using a cheat sheet to know the different module and what changes that can be made. Not every function can be adjusted or turned on/off. Need to have provision on car first or option as part of the range. Use the recommended BimmerCode WIFI OBD Vgate 2 reader.

Excellent and essential but lacks landscape mode on iPad. After using this app on 2 cars now I wouldn't be without it. Although not officially supported the G42 can be coded using the G20 selection. It's obvious from the reviews just how good this is but slow to support new models. Support for landscape on an iPad would make the app even better so a split screen and keyboard could be used to make coding even more efficient to do and allow the use of a second side by side app line notes or similar to document what you are doing or to refer to instructions

2014 X5 F15, Vgate icar pro, worked perfectly. Worked perfectly for me

Need to use expert mode. The easy mode does not offer many options, so I had to use expert mode to come my f25. For example, I have changed my front and rear globes to led, error free options can be simply coded from the FRM module, however these options cannot be found from easy settings, and it’s very time consuming to find relevant entries to code the led. Can be done but just tedious.

Great app. Powerful utility.. The app is hard to fault for its functionality. It was straightforward to use and worked almost without issue on first attempt. If you're using ENET cable and your phone, make sure you have a good quality cable and ethernet dongle. The only fault I could find was the UX for coding options differed from the options on the official website for my car. Otherwise, definitely worth the premium paid. 4/5

Useless customer support. The app is currently failing to update for me. So I EMAIL their customer support. They tell me to solve the problem by having an internet connection when I try to update. Geniuses.

Superb…. This is an absolute must have. I have a standard 330i, since BimmerCode, I now have activated the following: Switchable/memory for Start/Stop setting, red ambient lighting, no annoying warnings on start up, MSport instrument cluster, comfort plus mode, sports exhaust setting, Tesla style view in assisted driving mode, single short press for boot opening… plus lots more, completely changed the driving experience for the better. Absolute bargain, easy to use and highly recommended 👌👍

So far, so good. After trying to code a few features I my car (X5 M50d) without success, I bought the version and tried again. So far it seems to work. It would have nice to have known this before unsuccessful attempts. Hence the so far so good title.

for any bmw. this app is just unbelievable if you own a BMW it does everything what it says i’ve just use this for 2008 e87 just couldn’t believe it what I could do with this app thanks guys give you 5 stars

Perhaps it’s just me?. Has anyone found that you can actually do anything with this app without having to purchase the full priced version? I could not find a single change for my f56 mini that could be completed without buying the full version.

Great one-time purchase. Really easy coding. Super simple interface that works across unlimited BMWs. Apart from being able to code anything (including removal of needing to click OK on startup messages), I just used it to code my F22 pre-LCI to LCI LED taillight conversion. I was expecting to need to manually code all the values and voltages. Nope, BimmerCode had this conversion already in mind and had an easy “just click active” approach after doing the conversion. It took care of multiple values all at once for me. Just brilliant.

Rip Off doesn’t work. Brought this app $49.99 for X5 2010 and all it does remove “disclaimer” nothing else working. Rubbish!

Great app. Really good app witch backs everything up for you. Problem is slow to add features. There are a billion and one codes in expert mode but why are they not added to basic mode. Lots of potential but very slow updating and giving new features. How about giving some English comments or translating the German on everything. Really need more regular updates.

Not the Best Bmw customisation app. Half the functions do not work , keep getting messages like “failed to write to .. unit”. Most of the trivial things work but not the ones sought after

Great, but can be risky. When it works it’s greatest, although: On my X1, I only deactivated the passages seatbelt warning, because just putting my bag on the seat gave me the warning, but doing this deactivation also deactivated the driver’s too. Then I just wanted to reactive it and only deactivate the passages seatbelt reminder I encountered the fallowing errors: 1.- Front-end collision warning failure 2.- Pedestrian collision warning failure 3.- Traction control warning failure 4.- Front camera failure 5.- SOS calling failure... also it cleared my clock and the speed warning too.. So far it all works well...

Mini coding. I drive warning remove. The acknowledge message every time you start up is ridiculous. Using the demo mode I found what I needed to change, connected to the car. A backup was made with no intervention. I changes a code, performed the update. I have the Vgate adapter which works flawlessly

Limited to older models. Not the best, very limited functionality, specially post 2019 F series chassis and full screen apple CarPlay is limited to only certain idrive versions. Maybe better options out there

Fun but be careful. Like so many BMW owners I was drawn to ‘coding’ features in and out. Done the usual simple changes but warily did some advanced but lots I have stayed away from! Plenty of hints on line to guide you.

Makes a great car even better. The app is a must-buy for any BMW owner frustrated by the default settings. It is reliable and solid. Developer is also very responsive to support requests — had an issue with BLE communication to my adapter and it was resolved within 5 hours (note: turn off ALL other Bluetooth devices / connections before coding). Excellent App - Easy to use, safe & quick. I have a F1530d M sport, 2015. After a recent BMW dealer service, they deactivated many of the functions I had them program when I purchased the car new. When questioned, they said "BMW factory" won't allow the dealer to customise programming any more.... they turned back on my stop/start😡 Purchased Bimmercode App and did all the custom coding myself. Easy, safe and fun. No more arguments with dealers who are no just tick and flick guys nowadays. Love it.

Waste of money and terrible product. Did not connect regardless trying all the troubleshooting done as recommended. Useless app and such a waste of money. $AUD50 for the App, $AUD30 for the cable and $AUD65 appals camera adaptor and $AUD50 Ethernet adapter. $AUD195 total. Such waste. Terrible service. Fake marketing. If your reading this please save your money and invest ons a real product. This is just a money pit and doesn’t do the job at all. Didn’t even connect a single time.

Warning Scam. Bought this, changed to a new phone and purchase disappeared. Went back to old phone purchase not there either. Restore purchase doesn’t work on either phone. Contacted developer, no reply. Looked around and apparently this is happening to everyone. Beware of this scam. Apple should remove this app from store until developers refund everyone’s purchase. Very limited for ID 8.5. Should mention on the supported cars page that the head unit is locked for Idrive 8.5

W.O.F.T. Avoid if you have an E-60. You can do the same with the iDrive system with a much easier user interface and none of the tedium of BT pairing etc. Waste of time and money.

Very Convenient Tool. Simple and no fuss app. The key is to get a reliable connection to the OBD port as can’t afford to intermittent causing the code corruption. I use a good quality OBD to Ethernet cable, a Ethernet to Lightning adapter and turn on the air mode in iPhone. No hiccups. Would like to see more opens to DME codes, codes for steering, adaptive suspension, transmission, exhaust flap configurations…

Perfect. Works wonder for my G80 M3. Cost 70$, but honestly if you’re too poor to spend 70$ on an app you shouldn’t own a BMW. App is perfect, works flawlessly and lots of settings to change.

328ixdrive low beam error. I replaced my front headlights with aftermarket lights. Ever since then the error on the dash would come up because the LED lights were not recognized by the foot well module. This app allowed me to get in and switch the settings to LED for both the turning signal and headlights bulb. All the errors are now cleared away 100% working. I am very very happy with this. It was very easy to use the app as well very well done guys !!

Fantastic. I had icarly before which was slow and buggy, and while it had more features, it isn’t worth the 100$+ yearly subscription. This is easy, straightforward and offers all you will ever need.

Seat easy entry exit. So I coded my seat on x5 2018 to move back and forward. But now I want to turn this option of. When I go and see active button and push it, it’s not turning off. It looks like a bug or something. How do I fix it.?

Great tool for Bimmerheads!. Simple and effective, code out the most annoying aspects for iDrive and make the small things behave just the way you choose. Worked perfect on my M240i with an inexpensive Veepeak adapter from Amazon.

Battery registration. Works well for coding little things on mini. Except for battery registration. You have to by the full version of BimmerCode if you change battery(different Ah) then buy the BimmerLink app to register it. Do us a favour and build it into one app and stop with these idiotic free and full versions of two different apps

Auto Start/Stop settings don’t work. I purchased this app specifically to disable the auto start/stop feature, but unfortunately, it doesn’t perform that function at all. While it reports “successful coding,” the feature remains active. Based on community reports, this functionality appears to have stopped working sometime around 2023 due to changes in newer firmware. Despite this, the app continues to be sold without any disclaimers or warnings. It’s disappointing that the developers have not updated the app description or acknowledged the issue, especially since it seems to be a known limitation at this point.

Problematic if you have activated CarPlay via software. If you’ve activated CarPlay via software, you won’t be able to code the head unit including idrive. You can still code other modules such as closing mirrors.

Excellent. Worked flawlessly on my M4 and X3 M40i. Only issue I found was the “body domain controller” on the X3 it said my adapter wasn’t compatible? Or an error along those lines. But otherwise I was still able to code a few neat features on the X3 including no auto start, closing the tailgate with the remote and no active sound. $50 for the app and $20 for the adapter is well worth it for two vehicles.

Great app. I bought the app to use it on my BM X3 2018. And at the beginning I was not able to connect , but after reading the manual all worked fine, I was able to program my car and all the changes I wanted. Great app over all.

Auto Start\Stop. After the BMW update 03/2023.50, bimmercode can not code and disable the auto start stop function anymore! Hoping you guys can find a solution for it soon!

Does not connect to e net cable. Bimmercode just completely stopped connecting to my e net cable on my phone even though the cable works and it connects right away with any other app. Used to work flawlessly but now I can’t even use it because it simply doesn’t work.

Best app for i3 owners just got better. In the last few weeks, it looks like they have updated the coding app to include even more functions. It’s now simpler than ever to unlock additional fuel storage, manually activate range extender, and lots of other cool features in the i3. Great work.

Love the coding options. Have been using the paid version for a while - love the customization options!!!! Now that adaptive Matrix LEDs are legal in the US market, wish you all could add the ability to activate those. In particular a 2025 M4 Cabrio. :)

Don’t work and poor customer service.. I purchased a veepeak adapter because it is listed as supported on their website. BimmerCode is unable to detect the device and their customer service is refusing to offer any type of help resolving the issue. BimmerCode customer service is now saying that “viecar” is the only supported adapter, which contradicts what’s on their website. They keep saying to contact veepeak or purchase a viecar adapter. This is complete b.s.

Great, but hidden fee. I took two stars away because there is a $40 fee to make the app useful that is not advertised until you actually try to use the app. Otherwise it is great. It makes basic coding super simple and even more advanced coding is easier than with the computer programs. Definitely worth the $70 that I spent for the app and dongle, I just wish they were honest about the cost

Be weary. Very unstable on iOS even with use of ENet cable. Completely bricked a module for me. Now running without lights or even wipers. Emailing back and forth with support team (Stephan Gauch) who are responding without answering any questions or suggestions. I’m unsure if they are weaponizing incompetence or truly unable to provide support when thing s go bad. Also, support team is Europe based and takes a day just to get a response without any actionable help.

Amazing coding app. Thank you Bimmercode! This was painless, easy, and programmed all the mods i wanted for my 2015 F32. I cannot believe how much the US restricts the factory options out of the cars. Most care have autofolding mirrors enabled as a stock comfort option, for BMW to restrict that due to regions is beyond me. Very happy customer!!!

Love personal coding. BummerCode is wonderful, allowing personal customization of vehicle functions. We recently bought a 2014 BMW i3 and now that it’s ours, we are adjusting several of the settings to make the car more functional for us. This coding tool is simple to use and it’s quite effective.

ENet Cable Problems. Generally the app has been working well. It’s been about 1 year since I’ve used the app to make some changes. I bought a new adapter to lightning connection as that is the fastest in the past. I do have the newest Veepeak Bluetooth controller but can’t enter expert mode to check for some coding changes. Maybe has to do with Apple’s latest updates?

Mini Cooper S 2013 nice way to add LED lights. Can now adjust options that one would expect to do originally, but would have to go to dealer to fix, for example, had old fashioned tail lights that overheated- changed out to LEDs and can prevent inappropriate warning lights on dash- eject key option is awesome as key sometimes sticks- love it!

Amazing For Coding i3 REx. Coding the i3 REx has allowed me to go on 600+ mile road trips, climb mountain passes at 70 MPH, and go longer distances between fuel stops by increasing the fuel tank capacity from 1.9 Gallons to 2.4 Gallons. Coding the i3 has greatly increased the usability of the car, and allowed it to be much more usable in challenging situations. So far, I have: -Increased electronically limited fuel tank capacity to 2.4 Gallons -Added the Range Extender Menu for the Hold State Of Charge mode -Set the default drive mode to ECO PRO I would highly recommend this app to people with any supported BMW’s since there are so many different modules that can be configured!

Worked Perfectly. This app worked perfectly with the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBDII adapter that’s linked on the BimmerCode site as of 29-July-2019. Coded a handful of things on my F15 X5 without any issue. I did take the precaution of using airplane mode and only switching on Bluetooth. After that I was connected and coding within 5 minutes.

Just what I needed!. The auto start/stop button was removed from the X7. With a Bluetooth adapter and this app I was able to kill off that annoying “feature”. Great job on this app! Couldn’t ask for it to be any easier!

Cool app but doesn’t work for my car. I really like this app and hopefully an update will fix the issues I’m having and I’ll re-rate it then. It just doesn’t work for my 2018 M5. Developer has been responsive and helpful, but I’m still out $30 plus the dongle I bought specifically for it, until issues get fixed. Maybe it’s my fault for buying the app with such a brand new model year car. Idk.

Worked once and not any more. I bought a new Supra two weeks ago and then traded it in for a 3.0 Premium. I was able to use the OBDLink CX on the first car but now on the second car it doesn’t work it only flashes green and red… not Bluetooth. There does t seem to be any reset options. How do I get this to work??

Not working with ISO 26.1. BimmerCode was been working great until I upgraded from ISO 15 to ISO 26.1. After the upgrade I can not connect to any of my BMW’s. I have tried to notify the developer, but never heard anything. I have notice that in the most recent google search regarding this problem. This has become a common problem. I hope someone can fine a resolution to this problem. I really like the program.

Fantastic. No, really! It’s fantastic!. This app, combined with the bluetooth/wifi plug, is very easy to use and automagically creates a backup for you. Note: I sat my iPhone down during the coding process and it went to sleep. I lost connection to the adapter and instantly saw 10 new errors in the notifications. After reconnecting, the app found those errors and corrected them with the latest backup. I only needed basic mode for my mods, but expert mode is available. Worth every penny.

Saved me a couple hundred $$ worth of coding !!. Just coded my 2018 M3 without any issue and so user friendly and simple to use thank you for an awesome app that made me enjoy my car that much more with changing some things for a more personal experience

So many unlocked features. The ability to fine tune much of the settings in my 328ix and X5 is beyond worth it. Easy to use and highly recommended !

Decent app. Disappointing customer support. The app itself is decent when it stays connected to the car and doesn’t drop out while making changes before coding. A German-English translation of German terms found in the expert mode would be useful. My experience contacting support was disappointing, as if the customer support representative wanted to make the least possible effort to assist.

So Helpful. I own a 2018 BMW 340i and this took has been amazing for tuning anything and everything. It even codes out the dreaded SOS malfunction error that has plagued these vehicles. I can’t say enough about this app. If you’re a BMW enthusiast, buy the tool with this app and enjoy.

A must-have for any BMW owner. Simply the easiest way to fine tune options on your car, some you may not even know it came with. Be careful, read instructions, and double check with forums before making changes and it’s exclusively a positive experience.

Fixed LED light codes. I replaced halogens with LED lights on 2011 X3. Got constant warning indicators for right and left high beams. With this app a section already exists for swapping to LED. Activated both low and high beam to recognize LED and sent codes. Problem fixed. Very happy.

Great app, but…. This is a great app! It’s easy to use and worth every penny. However, it would be much better if it backed up your backups to iCloud or another cloud service. You can back things up on your PC in iTunes, but in today’s world you shouldn’t need to do that.

BimmerCode. This is a must have for your F10 Bimmer. Can’t believe I drove my 2014, car this 7 yrs long with these annoying settings that are so easy to change with this app. I asked my stealer about some of these settings for years. all I got was duh.

Worth every dollar!!!. I have done so much cool stuff to my 14 x5 35xi with this app in a day and a half . I deactivated the auto up down motion the steering wheel does when the car is turned on or off. Change the ambient light colors around and so many cool other things I could go on and on . This app is absolutely positively worth every single dollar.

Careful, exact adapter needed. I can't speak for the app itself but I can say do not expect to use it without one of the exact adapters they list on their site, which are all very expensive ($75+) if you live outside the US. Just getting one that says it's compatible with one of those or a standard it uses is not enough.

Good App. Tested this out for the sales manager on a demo car to change a few settings and it’s great. Just wish it would also work on the 1st Generation and 2nd Generation MINI’s as well. Maybe an update in the future would allow for them to be added to the list.

TPMS. I only wanted to update the flat tire monitor to show standing values. The head unit on my car has CarPlay enabled and this wouldn’t give any head unit features and said my head unit isn’t stock. I did end up turning off the stop start in eco mode, that worked. If your car is not stock, don’t buy it, stuff won’t work unless you want to undo all the stuff you have already done. Who the heck has a bone stock F36…

Ok but.... Ok for neat mods as far as lighting etc. (some mods worked and some didn’t) but definitely has limitations. Purchased the full app when I needed to replace and register my new battery. Was able to recode the battery amp hours but then I have to purchase the BIMMER LINK APP for another $30+ dollars to register the battery and complete the job. Feels like essentially double charging (pun intended) to complete a simple battery replacement.

Easy and Reliable. The ability to edit the original settings to allow me to customize my BMW X1 is truly amazing. Worth the price at double the cost. Backups built in just in case something goes wrong is valuable and well thought out.

Auto Stop/Start Function Cannot be Disabled as Advertised. I bought this app and OBDLinc CV specifically because they stated it could disable the Auto Stop/Start function on a 2022 BMW X5. Well, it doesn’t. I reached out to the developers and told them it was not working. They just stated that BMW has updated their software and it prevents them from disabling that function now. That’s fine, I understand they can’t control what BMW does. But don’t advertise that you can disable that function when you know you can’t.

Absolutely Awesome. Worth every penny. If you like coding you BMW or want to learn how to. This is the best app for making changes to your card computer without paying tons of money to have other do it for you. You will not be disappointed.

BMW i3 upgrades. With this tool, coupled with the VGate Bluetooth OBDII connector, allowed me to fully customize my car. I was able to add 30 miles of range, add a warm up sequence for the remote which was eliminated when the bmw app 2G support stopped, eliminate annoying warning alarms and customize heated seat temperatures. The car now acts the way I like it to!

Love it! It’s my pairing with bimmergeeks. This app is awesome! What a deal. I own it so I don’t don’t know if they went to a subscription service or not. But it does some things that bimmergeeks doesn’t and vice versa. Well worth it

BMW F 10 LED conversion. Tried everything I can understand about this app does not work I have Gmail account on this iOS phone app doesn’t see the Gmail account so it will not contact support Not having a lot of fun!

Paying twice. I purchased this app almost 1yr now, Used it once I coded my car and it works fine the first time, Now its asking me to purchase the full version again, Anyone else had this issue? I’m assuming is i bought the full version that would be it for purchasing.
