False information. I was trying to track one of my family members flights to see when they would get there and it was going good at first till it showed me that THE PLANE WENT BACKWARDS. I was confused because there was no information or email that told me that the flight was going back. So I decided to go download a BETTER app that told me the their flight was on track and not back at where it started. Based on the other reviews I have seen Im sure the company did this for money because everyone I try to open the app it showed me an add. 1/5 stars This app will never be on my phone. Thank you.

Not accurate. I live directly in the flight path of Philly International. Planes are almost always flying directly over my house. When sitting out back in the summer, we always wondered where the planes were going or coming from. I saw this app and had to have it. I like it a lot, but it’s often wrong. Sometimes planes fly directly over head, and when I pull up the app, there is no plane near my house. This happens a lot. Why doesn’t the app show planes flying over my neighborhood? Can this be fixed?

Good app but….. This app is wonderful and has so much easy features and accurate but after a while I starts to freeze and can’t types and other stuff I don’t know if it’s a bug or just my phone but it’s kinda anoying but overall it’s a worth it app and simple directions how to use it great job making this app it perfectly made but I don’t know about the bug so yea.

Loved it until it was “subscription only”.. I’m not an aviation geek whatsoever ever but it doesn’t take an aviation geek to know that there are more than 4 planes flying over your state at once. I also adore how it nudges you to buy the overpriced subscription every time you load the app & click 3 planes. Also, Devs. 😑 I’ve seen your response to other people’s reviews; don’t tell me that the free version is similar whatsoever to the subscription version. After 3 years of having this app installed on my iPhone, I’m out. ✌️

Pretty Cool. I’ve always enjoyed watching planes and flying them myself whether it be day or night. I always wonder where they’re going, what plane I am seeing, its altitude, speed, destination, etc. With this app, you can view all those things. You can track the plane to see its flight path to see if you will see it fly passed you or not. On the other hand, I live VERY close to railroad tracks and freight trains pass every 10 minutes or so. I wonder the same details about them and I’d love to have an app the same as Planes Live but for trains.

Deceptive Marketing. I love plane trackers. I was fooled by an advertisement for this app that Depicted the view of the plane as the most realistic I’ve seen. It showed zooming in on planes and it looked almost as good as a version of flight simulator showing the planes in real time. I downloaded the app and signed up for the trial. It’s said after 3 day trial I would be charged, And that if I wanted to cancel I could just do so in the settings area. I found the plane tracker once I had access to be no better than any other free version that I already have. There is no place within the settings menu to discontinue the trail before being charged. I’ll probably have to block the charge via my credit card company. What a hassle and what a scam.

FREAKIN COOL. I’ve been an airplane nerd since I was little. I’ve been using the Flight Tracker app for the longest time (still do because of it’s amazing accuracy), but this one is unique because you can literally see any flight from anywhere on the planet at any time and so far it seems to be accurate. I can’t wait to play around with it more!

Used to be great, not anymore.. When I first got this app, I was amazed by its capabilities. It was completely free, and you had everything. Now, you get this dulled out app that’s just flight numbers and where they see flying. It doesn’t even tell you the type of plane! Now I could buy the paid version if the app for $6.99, but I’d still have to pay for the subscription to get all the features this app used to have. Please, I beg you, at least bring back some of the features that used to be in this app. I’m fine if there’s a premium version, but taking away features from people who already had them? That’s just wrong on so many levels.

Annoying ads. The app itself seems good and I’m able to access free features. However, the amount and length of ads is excessive. If I want to save a flight, I have to watch a 30-second add. If I want to save another flight, I have to watch another add, except there’s no times and no “x” that shows on the screen to finally get rid of the ad when the time is up. To top it all off, the app is constantly asking me to purchase the membership which is extremely expensive, especially when other apps do the same thing for free and don’t have so many ads and so much pestering.

Very fun. I enjoy sitting in my yard seeing planes flying over and just wonder what those folk are going to be doing where there going. Checking out different airports and seeing how busy they are. The stats that are updates are accurate judging off seeing planes fly over at relatively the same altitude. Speed of aircraft pretty darn accurate. Enjoyable app, great for the price.

Complicated. I do not find it user friendly. I am good with computers, but it seems complicated and not user friendly. However, it is very accurate once you find your flight and good with notifications. It just needs to be more simplified. Once I found the flight I wanted I would only like to track that plane not every flight in the air. Maybe you can do that, but like I said it seems to be too complicated for me.

Annoying ads. I think this summarized how I feel about this app. I hate annoying ads and I also think apps should be free because they rip you off. The developers charge you for the app AND charge you for in app purchases then take your and stop updating the app or bail out leaving you to hang, losing any money you paid and can’t use. This happen to me and many others with the Fuzel Collage app. Then won’t respond to any of our emails. Most of them are foreigners and don’t care. Fuzel is a company in another country. It also happens in my own country. The United States.

MAHALOSANDMAN. Fun to keep track of family traveling all over, plus, I enjoy sitting in our backyard and identifying various flights going over our city. Sometimes when I one of our granddaughter is with us, we will go out, look up imagine the number of passengers on a flight and crest a mystery about why they are in route to a particular destination. It is amazing what a whopper a 12 year old can make up.

Don’t get suckered into this app. Yes, it may be cool, but you are super limited to what you can do, and in order to get the full features, you have to pay 40 dollars a year. Little do y’all know is that FlightRadar24 is better quality, is more well known, and is cheaper. For free, you get all features you get with planes live plus all the features for “Premium”. For 10 dollars a year, you get all these other cool features like what planes are on the ground and all this other cool stuff. And their Gold Platinum is even cheaper than planes live at 35 dollars. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP, GET FLIGHTRADAR24 INSTEAD!! INFACT, FLIGHTRADAR24 DOESNT HAVE ADDS!!!

Buggy notifications. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don’t. That was the sole purpose for me getting this up and signing up for paid plan. I want to make sure that I don’t miss updates when a plan lands or is delayed. And this app can’t be trusted unfortunately. And yes, I’m talking about inconsistency of notifications delivered for a saved flight. Needless to say, I have to cancel my subscription. As others mentioned, contacting support is impossible as you simply get auto reply along the lines of “we don’t answer to these emails” This is ridiculous! When you’re trying to share flight tracking info with someone, instead of a link to the flight tracking details page it’s a link to their website. Super helpful!?!? Also, a lot of times you simply unable to save a flight because the app can’t locate a scheduled flight for a route for a future date, even a couple of days out sometimes. But I bought a ticket, so the flight is happening! Some good ideas, implementation-not so much.

Not worth the time. I cannot properly evaluate this apps functionality in free mode, because every 3rd touch of the screen pops up very annoying loud game ads. More than one; at least two every time. Yes, I know I can select free trial of full features to get rid of them. But I do not want to go through that hassle, including not forgetting to unsubscribe in 3 days if I don't want it. The developer's high pressure business model is flawed and reflects a lack of understanding of his customer. He would get more subscriptions if he allowed the person to evaluate the app in peace without signing up for the free trial. Then after a few days, begin the harassment, if you must. But as it is, it is too disturbing to take the time to evaluate. I write this knowing he is reading these. Too bad. It looked like it might have been a good about to have. But it is not worth the hassle.

Cool App, but by subscription? No thanks!. Have had this app and enjoyed it for quite some time. I liked showing people how you can choose any plane and get so much detail on it. It was mind boggling for anyone who saw how many planes are in the air at any time and how you can track each one in real time. Then I today I launched it so I could identify a plane flying overhead and discovered it was now a subscription only app! Yes, this app does an amazing feat though it really collects available info from control towers. But to charge a subscription for it? I think that only the die hard aviation geeks would fork over $5 a week. I subscribe to a suite of apps that are second to none because they offer apps that provide world class tools for editing photos, videos, music, text, web design and a whole lot more. Adobe offers subscription for individual apps or a whole collection of them. They charge for sophisticated and professional tools. You’re not Adobe! When you start producing apps that pilot use as well as a host of apps for other aviation uses, then you will have a right to charge a subscription based on value. Until then, I’m out.

Much better with inexpensive subscription!. The “free” version is fully functional but very annoying ads make it quite obnoxious to use. I’m very frugal and hate to pay, but Planes Live is worth the measly $7 annual fee. All commercial aircraft use ADS-B and are available to track. General Aviation (private planes) must use it if they wish to participate with air traffic control. We use the app every time one of us is in the air.

Track Planes for Free? Sure!. For a free app it does the job. Would I spend $ to track planes? Probably not, but when I want to i.d. what kind of aircraft is flying over head it just the thing. When I need to find out when my wife’s flight is getting in to Logan and I can actually see it over Providence it’s a good thing. When I can see cargo flights represented as Santa’s sleigh in Alaska to show the kids on Christmas Eve... now that’s cool!

Heath Wise. Amazing simply Amazing…you know when you’re a little kid and you hear a jet flyover, you look up, and wonder, where are you bound for… Well all those childhood dreams can now be reality, with Planes LIVE, you can now look up into the sky, and know exactly When, Where, and What, plane is flying above you, all your childhood dreams finally come true…..

Captain. I don’t actually use it, but my wife uses it frequently. We live near an airport and we deal with flights coming right over our home, and this pisses her off. It also enables her to send the FAA her complaint about low flying jets, who they belong to, and the type of aircraft. She is very well versed in how to use the App. So, on behalf of my wife, I love it and thank you.

Good but missing a key feature. The app is impressive but I noticed that it is missing a key feature that every airline tracking app has…it doesn’t tell you what kind of airplane model it is…??? Why is that missing info for an app that is suppose to give you detailed information. It bugs me because I like to know plane models of the airplanes I’m tracking just out of curiosity. If they can add that feature, I’d give 5 stars.

From an ambassador to a warner. I drive for Uber and this free version was very handy to track airport trafficking but the new update doesn’t allow users to see all arrivals and when you tap on all trips it takes you to the paid version to pay for it I can say I lost my interest now in using this app and you will lose viewers who are seeing you commercials and getting you a side payment the developer has changed his mind to be greedy like others after he caught us from the bulls finally this is going to the trash. hope this would help others who are going to download the free Planes Live

What a fun app to have!!!. Where I live we have very heavy air traffic, given the fact that I live just to the south of the Ogden airport, HAFB, and just north of the SLC International airport. I really enjoy watching the statistics of the flights flying all around my place. To me, it’s very interesting to actually see the plane in the air above my place while sitting on the patio, and being able to see the planes telemetry live as the plane flys by. Yes; you would probably need to be a pilot OR nerd (or both) to enjoy this app. If you have any interest in planes, you’ll find this app to be very entertaining and interesting. Well, I’m gonna take off…(no pun intended.) (-; Enjoy the app!!! 👋🏻

Waste of Time and Money. Literally downloaded this app to track ONE flight. When I opened it for the first time, I could click the 3 free day trial option or the $9.99 per year subscription option. I clicked “free trial” and was charged $10. I can’t figure out how to undo it without sending someone an email, which I will definitely be doing, since the app is also terrible. Not intuitive at all. Tried to search by flight number, then by name of airport (midway), but had to just type “Chicago” to bring up the airports. Then when I went to the arrivals page for the proper airport, the specific flight I’m looking for didn’t even show up. I’m so annoyed.

Grrrreeeeedy. I’m so unhappy with this app. You used to allow at least some minimal use of this app for free and then offered a subscription with more features. The minimal features were fine for me. And I was fine with watching a few ads. But that was just not good enough for you. Soon as I opened the latest updated app there is no free option. We are FORCED to subscribe (or take the free trial for a while which will jump to paid [especially if we forget to cancel]). Shame on you for getting greedy. I’m sure that will really limit your users. Freebie with apps will probs get u more money that subscribers. :(‘

Just couldn’t get it to work.. I just did not have a good experience with this app trying to track my hubbys flights. I typed in his flights as in date, time, airline, flight number. It would alert me every time that regularly scheduled flight took off and landed. But his flight would not show up, or if it was there the track feature...which worked on the other flights....did not work. I spent three frustrating days trying to figure this app out and never got it to work correctly..this app doesn't work. Sorry developer...

Beware. I wanted to see what this was app was like. It showed free. Then going into after install it showed I could have a three day trial. Ok. No problem. Then after clicking ok it brought me to a screen the price options for 3 levels of subscription. I clicked x because it didn’t pertain to me. However it then showed on the next screen that I had the premium (highest) level purchased to be charged after the three days of trial. I freaked and got in the Apple chat and was walking through subscription cancellation. I then deleted the app. I will confirm in three days to make sure I am not going to get call. I for sure clicked x. It was a big x but obviously a ruse as clicking it signed you up for the highest amount. Not right. I don’t know why people do business this way. I have no desire to trust them with my money in any way. So beware.

Was good but now not. I’ve had this app for a quiet a few years, and I’ve had this subscription, and I’ve been very happy with this app because of the way you could track the flights I could go to the map and I could follow the flight of my family members as they went through their trip also would tell me when they were boarding and window everything when the plane when it left, it was laid if it was early now I don’t tell me any of that I can’t even go to the map and find that particular flight I had I had it on the flight and the flight left an hour later and it’s still not showing up on the map is showing the line of the track it’s going, but the flight wasn’t there I didn’t see no updates when they were boarding or nothing so I canceled my subscription was good before they updated it. It looks better. Of the options that I liked about this app. Sad.

Incomplete coverage.. I made the mistake of paying for a one year subscription based on the three day trial. Although individual flight information is very comprehensive, this app only tracks about half of the commercial traffic overhead (I’m under the approach corridor to DFW) The $40 annual fee is now a sunk cost for me, but I’ll be using FlightAware for complete track data. But less than complete flight data. Hopefully this app corrects its deficiencies before renewal time. Otherwise I’ll be cancelling and deleting.

Not worth the money!. I originally bought this app because I live on the landing pattern for Detroit Metro (DTW). The first year I had the app, it was great! I could sit on my deck and watch (and track) flights coming in and out of DTW. Within the last 3-4 months however the app has gone downhill quickly. Planes will fly over the house and not show up on the tracker, wrong flight numbers, incorrect maps, etc. I have sent numerous emails to customer service regarding my issues and basically I was brushed off. I really can’t justify paying $4.99 a month for an app that doesn’t work properly. UPDATE: Just received an email wanting me to reach out to the support team for help. Are you serious?!?!? The “support team” has been well aware of these issues for at least 3 months now since I have emailed them on 3 separate occasions. And only now they want to take me seriously (or try to save face) after I left a bad review of their crappy app. Sorry, too late. You have had ample time to correct the issue and basically ignored me. I’ve canceled my subscription and removed the app from my devices. Absolutely horrendous customer service.

To the developers:. As someone who never flies, I can tell you that this app is awesome. However one problem I had with it is that some pictures show an a330 when the plane is really a 787. This happens a lot, not just to the 787. Also, md11s are not Boeing aircraft. They are McDonnell Douglas aircraft. Other than that, I thought everything was fine. :)

Enjoy the app - but. Always appreciate the operation of the app. However, in the last few weeks there are many planes directly over my location That do not appear in the app. I understand that military and VFR will not appear but these are high altitude and/or local take offs routes/ landings of commercial flights that don’t show. Just wondering the problem as otherwise I enjoy the app. Thanks

Greedy developers. I paid for this app 10$ some years ago. Worked good but got sloppy over the last year or so. Now I know why. My purchase is not working anymore. Os14? I checked and found the new App. But now it is way overpriced. Who is using this App?-people that like to identify what is just happening above them. A fun thing. Nobody would pay for that reason more than the one time 10$. For exact flight information for travel planning, you have tons of free and better apps. Then all so called free trials should never go automatically to a subscription. That’s in my opinion fraudulent. You accept a free thing. Never do you approve of to a payment plan. To call it a „free“ trial is misleading and should be illegal. Sad, I liked this App. To change it during a pandemic where people don’t have the usual financial abilities is also not to smart. Greed is never ending positive.

Ok but very hard to search flights for a different day. My husband travels a lot. My kids enjoy watching his plane fly across the sky on this app. However, you cannot search for specific flights in specific dates. For example, I was trying to search and save his flight for a Sunday on Saturday morning, but the only flight it would show me was the same flight for Saturday. There is no way to change the date. Very frustrating.

I’m a Newbie. Hi, 👋🏼- I just started the airport transportation of clients and I’ve tried a couple of Apps - But this App , Planes Alive is the best!! Easier to follow and really up to date! I think it’s reporting is excellent. My client’s text came in about 90 Seconds after Planes Alive messaged me that the plane had just landed. Reporting any delays is current and all updates are greatly appreciated! Thank You ✈️

Crashes Every 3 Mins.. When you start the app, it asks you to upgrade. If you click no, it goes away and planes start to appear. 1 minute later, some crap comes up trying to sell you something. This happens every minute for three minutes. At 3:00, you get the minute ad, but this time when you click "NO", the program crashes. Obviously, they HATE taking "NO" for an answer. The planes don't get a chance to populate the screen before "SURPRISE!!!" It's ad time again! Sad, because it has a lot more info than Flight Aware... when it loads.

Such potential. I drive for Lyft and decided to base my decisions on whether to go and wait at the airport on the Arrivals section for this app. It would say that three flights were coming into TUS by the end of the hour, on time, but no flights would come. However using the map, I was able to click on all the planes in the state, and could see that none were on there way to Tucson, except a cargo plane, and the ability to do that was awesome! That gave me the info I needed to leave and stop wasting my time waiting on something that wasn’t coming.

“Functionality limitations” a warning. This free app should encourage me to buy the full version. It does not. But the constant answer always posted on negative reviews by the developer is functionality limitations are compensated by the app being free. In other words - you can take it , or leave it. That is not a very inviting response to buy the full version. I would like to see how the app might work if I bought it. I guess this free app is a preview of how I might also dislike the full version, so why buy it ? The constant pop ups that put me into questionable websites really don’t reflect well on the developers. I suppose the full version is loaded with many things I don’t want on my phone.

Doesn’t work very well. Used this app 2 years ago. Great. Could follow family members flights. Reload and bought. Huge disappointment. Unresposive. Many trials to get to correct screen. No longer has red plane to follow. Suspect software not kept up with new ios versions. Now wont accept Bad review.

It works if you have nothing else. Well I really hate it when app developers screw over their long time users. I have as fine with the free version only showing 3 departure and landing times for airports with scheduled service. And I was ok with the fact that it didn’t typically show GA. But now that there is no option to use the free versions and you have to pay, bye bye app. You have been deleted. I would have been ok with an ad at the beginning when opening but now this. And if there was a one time fee of like $10, I would buy it. But this crap of monthly subscription, I’ll just stick with seeing traffic on ForeFlight. I hate to see developers screw over existing users. Maybe even give us a discount for a year, just something. **edit after update** It seems the x button is now back to enter the free mode.

After using this app for years I am uninstalling it. Faultless, simple, accurate would be my description for this app not too many months ago. Today the app was inoperable. I needed to track a flight ATL-ORD-CPH. The attempt to input devoured 10 minutes. The app could not find the flight or anything else. Delight became disappointment. These folks can do a great deal better than what I got today. I hate putting this into the public. But how do you contact an app maker directly? I went to the airline site through Google and had my answer when I touched enter. Then I was asked to pay $6.88 to rid myself of ads. Not their greatest moment in sales. Get back to your former faultlessness, simplicity and accuracy folks. It hurts to experience the failure of a great product.

So cool!. I think this app is awesome. I didn’t realize how curious I am to know where planes are, all the time. We live in the landing path of a small commercial airport and the app tracks these planes with incredible accuracy. So cool to know where these planes are coming from, as well as the altitude and speed. I purchased the premium app and I love the weather radar as well. I’ve totally geeked out!

Not Free. Still not free. App is free only for 3 days, then you have to subscribe. Flight Tracker is a better app for the casual user. Update: nowhere does it say there’s an option to use a limited version. Only that after 3 days you’ll get charged monthly. Period. And, there’s no option to turn off “push notifications”, like offers of flights etc. So no. Unless you’re willing to put up with charges and ads in your inbox, forget it! Do not download, despite what developer says. They’re lying.

Update not good. I am 20 miles north of DFW and check on overhead flights often. The new upgrade is bad and many times the flight shown overhead is already on the ground at DFW when I click on it. I liked the older version much better. The new deal of broken lines fore and aft of flight with plane shown miles way from actual location is a downgrade from earlier version.

Time. The times on these apps are all screwed up. For some reason everything is showing five hours ahead. If the plane is landing at 6:00 PM the app is showing it is landing at 11:00 PM. The same goes for arriving flights, if a flight is landing at 3 PM the app is showing it will land at 8 PM. So if there is a plane in the air it will show the plane on the map but it will not give the speed’s or altitude because it thinks the plane still at the airport. This makes this app completely useless!!! This has been going on for the last two months. This used to be a fun app but not anymore.

Not user friendly. Unless you follow one trip at a time, and enter those trips in order of their happening it is terribly confusing to decipher. Also seems difficult to keep track of travel date in the instance of future trips, especially when the international dateline is involved. Pretty pictures on their advisements, yes, but not a lot else. Sorry... as someone who is on the road more often than not, and the Travel Manager for a large multinational corporation, not the app for me.

No real record- glitchy - no info on pro version. I want to like this app so bad, it has so much potential. I followed two separate flights on the PRO version (paid) and more than 5 hours into the 10 hour flight all it shows is that the flights turn around and go back?? You can’t track the flight in real time. No other info was available- altitude, speed, all stuff that had the option to be available just had blank dotted lines. Complete waste of money. I wish I could share a screenshot of the NON-INFORMATION and lack of tracking. Deleting.

My experience. It’s a neat app but I just had a plane fly over my house and it wasn’t anywhere on the radar. I only downloaded the app to see where the planes going over my house were coming from and going to. I’d have given it 5 stars if the app had an accurate live map. P.S. I was only using the free version since all I wanted was to know where the planes flying over me came from.

Amazing. This app is so amazing and accurate. I absolutely love planes and being able to hear a plane above you and check you phone and see the exact flight is so amazing to me. You get to see every detail about the plane. It is so worth the money if you love aviation. Amazing App. Only think I could suggest changing is showing different size planes on the maps for commercial and private planes! But besides that it is so amazing and I love it.

Not Happy. The app is good but I only wanted to try it out for the 3 days free and then you’ve automatically charged me when I didn’t want to continue with it. There does not appear to be an option to unsubscribe. Please rectify this ASAP as I do not want to continue. Thanks

Update is a downgrade. We used to love flight tracker. Our family does a lot of travel and it’s been useful in keeping track of our own flights and keeping up with where our family is in their journey. Due to Covid, it’s been a while since we travelled, so we were excited to finally be back flying and using the app. Sadly, somewhere in the last 12 months, one or two of the upgrades has been a downgrade. In the past we could see how long we had until the flight took off, and this seems to have disappeared. While you can still see how long until the flight is over, the information used to scroll with time since take off, time to destination, time until next flight etc. It seems a real shame to lose these. My son is overseas now and I’m hoping he made it to check in on his next flight. No longer can I see how long he has until take off unless I go and work out the time conversions ourselves. Also, the map no longer centres over the flight, you need to scroll the map to find the flight. The Sydney to LAX flight shows me a map of Africa until I move it around myself. This used to centre automatically. Such a useful app, but bring back the old features please.

Not many planes and no coverage.. When first start the app search and click on the X (now is at the Top Left of the screen) to close the trial window and to avoid trial activation. I’ve just tested it in Perth WA and could only see 3 Planes and FR24 showed 17 (planes on ground not active) meaning that they don’t have much coverage here in WA. Free app FR24 gives you more options.

Didn’t like it. There are better paid apps for tracking flights. This doesn’t allow you to track any flights without paying it.

Lyn. Great app. Used it a few times. Only problem I have is when I was following my sons flight path from LAX to SYD it picked up all the flight paths and I struggled to find which one was his. Would be great if it was in a thicker line or something that stands out from other flight paths.

Unusable. This app is completely unusable. Other reviewers were polite when they said the ads are “intrusive”. The reality is that the ads make this app unusable! This app has ads at the bottom of your screen, in the middle strip of your screen and full screen pop ups that’s stay for a good 5 seconds before you can even dismiss the pop ups. Seriously? The developers should not have bothered to make the “free” version of this app. You did not have to waste my time trialling this app!! You have lost a potential subscriber!

Pretty good. I like even though you can track flights with cheap flights app it's still good

Add overload. Just too many totally intrusive adds. Tap something for more information and you go to a full page add for some game. It's a shame because the app itself isn't too bad.

Garbage. This app is rubbish. Worked once now I no longer get a map, just a grid with tiny little towers on it. If I select a particular flight it does show up but there's no map so I can't see where it is. I have tried every button but I don't know where the former map covered with tiny planes has gone. Review. This app is one of the best I’ve come across. Great accurate information, I love how it tells you how high in the air, speed, flight path. Too much to mention.

Does not update with notifications. I “Followed” a flight and it failed to notify me at all. Even though I confirmed that the flight had landed. This is while using the premium features. This app is not as advertised and very confusing to navigate.

I wanted to watch the progress of one flight?. But it showed me the flight path and the zillion planes in the air. It didn't isolate the one flight and show me what stage it was at. Thanks for your response but there were so many planes I couldn’t find the flight. I typed in the flight number but it didn’t isolate that flight and get rid of the others. It only showed the flight path? I was using a iPhone, so a tiny screen.

Can’t even see half the planes. I seen a plane in the sky it was a pretty big one and was going to Darwin airport then looked at the app and the plane was not there and it has happened a couple off times if it was not for that it would get a 5 star

Flight did not arrive despite what App claims. BA12 from Singapore to London on 22 April 2024 was 3.5hrs late leaving but was forced to return to Singapore due to instrument mal function. Your App claims it arrived in Heathrow at 9:40. Clearly the information provided by this App is useless and I will not be purchasing it after free trial.

Does not shows all flights. This app is made for eating money only. It doesn’t shows some flight, doesn’t shows path even I could not track my flight from china to Nepal. Thank you for eating our money nicely. If you take any suggestion, pls add more flights details, show them path and let us track our flight.

Tricked me into buying it. Opened free app. It asked me if It could have my location all the time, I said no, asked me if it could send me notifications I said no, asked to scan my fingerprint, I did.... all of a sudden it comes up with ‘you have now unlocked pro!’ WHAT THE HECK?!?!? At least it’s only $2.99. Unfortunately even with the paid version it doesn’t show the smaller planes, and by smaller I mean Cessnas. Maybe there is a setting for it???

Great App but Too Many Ads. I love this app, and really find the number of planes in the skies just fascinating. I can understand a free version having ads, like other free apps do, but this app has a huge lot of ads which intrude at key moments. I would buy the full version, but I feel it's currently priced at about twice what I would pay for it. Great app though.

Meh. Tried the (pitifully short) 3day “trial” so I could get hate info....gate info still didn’t appear, and even though I canceled it the day before trial ended, somehow it didn’t go through. Maybe my internet connection was dodgy- As it often is overseas- so triple check.. they got $6 bucks out of me for one piece of info I never got. Unimpressed.

Very deceiving. It’s FREE only for 3 days. You must make a subscription choice as soon as you have finished the installation. I hate it when app developers do not disclose this in the description of their app. Uninstalled straight away and won’t bother with this app or the greedy developer.

Why adds in the paid version?. I paid for the full version and after a while adds start appearing. Random planes with non existent flight numbers and clearly on destinations different from the route showing start appearing as well. I was happy with the app but now will be looking for one that is accurate and advertisement free for the full paid version.

Automatic Remewals. Be Careful. It automatically renews your weekly Subscription. Only wanted it for a week and now paying for a second one I didn’t realize I’d signed up for. Watch outcast, otherwise ok. Couldn’t at all see cancellation option in settings. I hit the cross when I started the app, as I didn’t want to enter into the auto renewal contract, but nowhere I could see to cancel auto subscription. I was hoping to track flights that had recently been (past) it didn’t show any. It appeared to have more flights on screen than a couple others, but the contract is tricky , may have to cancel in iTunes

Search for QR913. Looked at following this flight for personal reasons, says not found, I know that this exists as we saw off a passenger tonight from BNE catch this flight. Guess what looked on Flight Radar and there it was!! What’s going on ?You used to be so accurate

Doesn’t Work!. I took a screen shot, I wish I could upload it. Flight status on this app states a flight is on time, an hour later & the flight still hasn’t departed. So it was definitely not on time! In fact, the flight I wanted to track departed the time it should have arrived at it’s destination! Don’t waste your time on this app!

Just get Flight Radar. This is a half baked app made to just rake in some $$. Yes you can unsubscribe in the 3 day period but they do t make it easy. Your given the impression that you can unsubscribe in the settings which you would expect and will go through the app settings to find.... nope not there, you have to go through I tunes and unsubscribe that way. Wonder how many people give up and just delete the app thinking they won’t be charged. 3 day free trial but you will be charged I you don’t cancel subscription by the end of the 2nd day. Again design to catch out the unwary. Nice work guys, keep it up. You didn’t catch me out but I bet you got plenty of others. Do yourself a favor folks and just get ‘Flight Radar’. Far superior to this rubbish and it’s free other than a few little in app upgrades if you feel the need with no sneaky business.

Review. I love this app it shows when you land and it just has all of the stuff you need to know.

Credit card approval. Why do I need to enter my credit card details if it’s free and if I like the app I will upgrade but I won’t, I can deal with adds to start with but not giving my details till I trial it so I will stick with FR24 for now till you revise this issue.

Plane spotting. So interesting identifying the planes and where they might be going, the virtually disappeared during CoVID! So now it s interesting to watch it build up again

Fun little app, but far too intrusive with their premium service offer.. I think this is a fun app and is likely excellent for Air Aficionados, but for people with casual interest who have no need or interest for the premium version, it’s not worth it. Every third plane you select, their “Please Upgrade” pops up. I opted for the trial, hoping that maybe after discontinuing it the ad would pop up less, but that’s not the case. I understand they want to sell the premium version but the devs really need to find a happy medium, like even making the ad pop up once a day. Until that changes, I will be uninstalling.

Great App But.... This app is fun! I can always hear planes flying overhead and I can see where they are come from when I look on the app but this app crashes to frequently. It crashes a good 1 minute every time I open the app. Then I have to reopen the app multiple times before I can get my fill of it. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks!

Too many ads. This use to be a really good app. But lately they have been pushing you hard to purchase their pro version for $20/month. So they force you to watch ads for over a minute, that sometimes freezes, so you have to restart the app. Enjoyed it for over 5 years but deleted it today.

Now this greedy developer is demanding $7.49/wk or $52.99/yr. At the weekly rate, they actually think their app is more valuable than an Adobe product? This is just another predatory app that takes advantage of people who don’t pay attention to charges! Apple needs to end this unscrupulous practice! Stay away! There are better, less expensive alternatives.

Developers responded quickly with information. I mistakenly rated this app low as I thought you could only subscribe and not use free version and since I only used occasionally did not want to. There was no opt out button. Developer responded today on the ability to click on X (hidden in Alaska) so I reinstalled the app and this now allows me to use the app again. Thanks for clarifying

No longer works. This app was not bad, a few too many ads. But it stopped working for me around April 10 2024, and now just shows a blank map of the world. No more planes visible, no more flights available to search. It was fun while it lasted, but even with update, it is just kaput. I would def get the Flight-radar one instead. More accurate and reliable.

Not update flights.. Beautiful design, but if one flight it’s delayed it will never appear as “delayed” in the app. All the flights are “on time” which is not accurate. To see the general flights of the day is okay, but if you want to see real time information I don’t recommend it. I’m trying the “PRO” plan.

Has potential but 8 of 10 times aircraft are not displayed. I was excited to use this app as I have used ship finder with no issues. I live under the LAX approach and with the reduced traffic due to COVID I thought this would be fun to use for plane spotting. Unfortunately 8/10 times I bring up the app the plane directly over me does not show up. When they do the info is great. Definitely not with $5/month until accuracy improves.

Planes Live. This app cannot come close to Flight Radar 24. I thought I pressed the 3 day trial button, but accidentally pressed the year subscription, a HUGE MISTAKE, this app is awful and I’m stuck paying for a year. Oh well, I’m sure Planes Live is greedy and will not refund my subscription fee.. I’m going to delete this app and CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION because you can’t get half the information that FLIGHT RADAR 24 gives you. Free. Dear Sir/Madam, I downloaded your Company’s “planes live” , “weather live” and “snap&translate” apps today. However, it seems caused some slowly running problems for my iPad so that I have deleted them from my iPad. After that, I found that my purchase history of these three apps is showing the status of “Pending”. My question is that to avoid any billing payment, should I only need to delete the apps from my device so that no any bills will be incurred? Please let me know If my understanding is incorrect. Also if there is any action should be done for it, please reply your comment as soon as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you very much.

Dropping service. I used to love this app but over the past two months it is no longer in real time. I work next to Louisville airport and the sky will be full of incoming traffic but nothing on your app matches real time. If it ever becomes legit again, I will sign up

Great app. I have totally enjoyed this app. Sitting out back on our patio we watch plane’s go by and we find out where there going and where there from.

Nationwide showing all flights. One of the reasons I subscribed because I wanted to see the map of all flights in the air like your ad shows but I haven't found it. I LOVE showing all the local airports and the status of all flights

A good app to have. It does cost money but you can press x to get out and you get to see planes round the world and it showes it like a gps would that makes it easy for you to go to places and you can go to airport and you can see planes around you.

Great app....but.... This app is excellent, but only if you subscribe. Until I agreed to a trial, it would not stop hounding me to buy a subscription or block certain pages with multiple ads. I think they be better served to offer a 7-day subscription for those of us who don’t travel often.

Expansive and limited. Use your web browser instead. $3 a week for limited information (that is free open source information by the way). Mostly only shows IFR flights, not all ADS-B flights. Frequently I will have a plane fly over head and open up the app to see what it was, only to find no planes showing anywhere near me. Recommend just bookmarking a web page with ADS-B info if you want any sort of information about aircraft activity.

Not good. Something has changed! It is not easy at all to track a flight. You try to get more information it goes to the Premium pay app. You can’t put in the flight # and airport and see the the flight. Will delete app! Also they won’t let you say anything bad about this app because no matter what made up nickname you use them say it is already taken. BS.

Back at it again. So now they won’t let you save flights without purchasing the premium version or starting a trial. I understand that people need to make money, but what happened to showing a video to save the flight? Not worth the time to download. On my iPad this app is more interested is selling, forcing an upgrade, or hacking me that actually letting me track a single plane. Every 20 seconds another pop up window wants me to do something, buy something, upgrade, or win something. I can not even find a single flight to track. A total waste of time!!! Not worth the download time!!! It even seems to be forcing me to select multiple stars in this review. I vote for zero stars!!!

I purchased this app before they switched to premium subscription. people like me helped your business grow and develop your app only for you to now make me resubscribe! No longer a free version?. I’ve had this app for years. Enjoyed using it occasionally when I wanted to see what plane was flying overhead. Now there is no way to get out of the opening screen without buying a subscription or a free trial, which of course is not free. Don’t mind ads, but I have no need for a subscription to this kind of an app. If I flew a lot, maybe. Will have to delete now. Too bad. I always enjoy looking up.

NOT FREE!. I’ve been using the free version of this app for over a year. I don’t need the premium features and don’t mind the ads. I enjoyed sitting outside and identifying planes flying over my house. That’s it and it worked pretty well. Now all of a sudden I launch it and I’m presented with two choices: pay for an annual subscription or pay per month. And, may I add, for an outrageous price. Please stop advertising “free”. It used to be free. It no longer is. I am uninstalling it. Good luck with your new business model.

Used to love it.. The developers are pushing the paid subscription so hard. Every third tap the pay wall pops up. Sure you can exit it — if you can find the hidden gray X at the top of the screen. Ironically (or unironically) it’s the same color as the background. Good luck finding it and instead feeling pressured to fork out $5 a week. Im ditching this old favorite app to use Google. Easier and doesn’t get pushy with pay walls. Yuck.

Planes Live. It use to be an awesome app for tracking & seeing other flights all around but now way too much pressure to make purchases and too many ads. Seriously thinking of deleting soon if no changes are made.

No longer accurate. Like many of the other reviews the app now stinks. No longer are any of the flight paths accurate. Before you could track any flight above you, no the planes are non-existent or even remotely close to what the app use to be. Why did you guys change this? Obviously everyone is posting the exact same thing.

One request. I love this app. Just one request. On the my flights screen, can we see the status of every flight at once. Even if the distance slider was one side or the other instead of right in the middle. I need to click on each flight I follow to see if it’s in the air or not and how far into the flight it is. I like it, it’s worthy to have.. What’s cool about Planes Live is that if you see a plane in the sky, you can tell exactly what it is,where it’s headed, and where it came from. I guess you have to like planes but I would think anyone looking at this app does. Oh, and it also will tell you what each airport is expecting to arrive and depart. You’ll enjoy it

Not good compared to others. This app would be pretty good if competitors like flightradar24 didn’t exist, which offer more features, functionality, and less ads/pop ups for free. The app kept crashing every ~5 minutes and the navigation was laggy, however this could be because I’m using an iPhone 6. Definitely not a bad app but not a leading app.

Great App!. I personally love this app, not to find incoming flights for my family but just because i’m in LOVE with airplanes. This app is really accurate, and very easy to use. I don’t want to ask for too much but, it would be GREAT if you guys could find a way to add like ATC at a selected airport or airspace.

Lag. The app has great info on places and flights. When trying to check flight paths for planes in the air. Good luck. The map refresh is very slow and the flight path may disappear. The price point was fine but it was just doubled which IMO is not justifiable for an app that doesn’t function cleanly. The original app I downloaded years back was way better and actually functioned. They are over complicating it.

Real time. Planes flies over my home I can instantly see type. Altitude, speed, departure and arriving city. It’s really amazing to have so much accurate information at our fingertips.

Filter for incoming flights at LAX doesn’t work. I used to be able to use the filter to only show the incoming flights to LAX. Now, if I select ‘arrivals’ filter for LAX it clears the whole map view of any flights; departures and arrivals. If I select the filter for ‘departures’ for LAX, it seems to be fine. But if I add a filter for ‘arrivals’ at LAX to the ‘departures’ filter for LAX, the map gets cleared again. I drive Uber, and I was using this app to see if any fights were arriving at LAX. Now, since the ‘arrivals’ filter for LAX clears the whole map of any flights, it’s totally useless for me. My subscription cost is a waste of money. The same thing happens on my iPad Pro 12.9” gen 2 and on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Both have the most current version of iOS.

Subscription required. I don’t mind the subscription as much as I mind that you have to sign up for the subscription and then cancel it even if you just want to try the application one time. I’m not going to get a subscription to every app I just want to try, only to forget to cancel it and be charged. If they’re going to give you a three day trial they should let you have the three day trial without strings attached

Horrible - showed flight went back while it did not. My 6 year old is flying with airline assistance and I downloaded this app so I could track his flight every step of the way. After an hour it showed the plane did a u turn and was back at Dulles. I started freaking out and called the airline and it was still in route. It did not turn back and there are no issues. Horrible and I accurate app!

Not Free. Still not free. App is free only for 3 days, then you have to subscribe. Flight Tracker is a better app for the casual user. Update: nowhere does it say there’s an option to use a limited version. Only that after 3 days you’ll get charged monthly. Period. And, there’s no option to turn off “push notifications”, like offers of flights etc. So no. Unless you’re willing to put up with charges and ads in your inbox, forget it! Do not download, despite what developer says. They’re lying.

Map tracker doesn't always work.. If you care about the map tracking feature, it doesn't often work. Many times it has shown a flight going in the opposite direction in should be, yet the fligt data is correct when not using the map.

Delayed and Inaccurate Updates. I downloaded the APP yesterday to track a flight that was delayed several times. The information was in accurate and information posted after the fact. The flight was already in progress while this app showed it has been in the same spot long after it was on its way.

Pretty Cool Idea - Worth the $?. The app is well done but way overpriced for all of the improvements that need to be made. It needs to show departures faster. Your filters do not work well. Many times your location reports are delayed by tens of miles. Your pricing model is bizarre.

Well designed app!. I use this app to keep me current on family travels - makes coordinating transportation so much more efficient. Very easy to use - intuitive. Good stuff!

Do a research on Customer Experience. With in 1 min after downloading it, i got the popup showing purchase option atleast 10 times. As a user its awful since barely started experiencing the app and it doesn't allow me to. Long story short, I said good bye with in 5 mins after installing. Humble note to developers - please put yourself in to customer shoes first and you can come up with wonderful user experience on this app.

Good app easy to use.. Did a quick check on the flight and it literally shows everything. Nice. Just needed it for the day and now canceling thanks.

Not accurate. Planes fly over and it’s not displayed...This happened for a week and a half. Just now everything that flew over maybe eight planes the last half hour, all showed up on the screen and where they were going like Paris and London from Dallas, Chicago to Boston etc. looks great!

Needs Work. When I select filter only 9E it doesn’t show me nothing despite the fact that there are FLTs with EDV call signs in the air. They only show when filtered as Delta but at that point one has to manually pick each aircraft on the map to see the call sign and see if they are 9E or their parent company DL aircrafts. The app Plane Finder is much better.

App is great, support is terrible.. Love the app! However, support is terrible. Sent a support request through the app and the email got bounced back to me saying that the email address was no longer in use and to send a support request through the app (???). I sent an email to the address in the App Store, got a reply that basically said to look in the FAQ on the website and if the question was already answered there, you wouldn’t get a reply. I checked the FAQ. Question wasn’t answered. Replied to that email. It’s been 2 weeks and still no response. Enjoy the app, just don’t expect any help if you contact support.

Question About Listing Flights Next Day. When I’ve used trackers in the past I could enter the date of flight I wished to track. That feature seems missing from this tracker. This tracker seems to list flights on only the day you’re in when you use it. That’s too bad. I have a super early flight tomorrow. I want to enter it now to track. But I can’t.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this app!. I clicked on an ad that brought me to the App Store downloaded the app to check it out. I deleted the app minutes after my first time opening the app. Now, I being charged $4.99 a month for for an app that I would have deleted even if it was free! There are to many ways to pay the developer and absolutely no easy way to get out of this trap. This is the worse app I have ever downloaded from the App Store. Do yourself a favor and avoid this app!

Did I just throw away $40?. Purchased one year subscription and created an account. Now app opens then immediately closes (crashes)...every attempt to open and use. Then, uninstalled and reinstalled...same result...not off to a good start... So, my question is; why does the app crash on both my iphone and ipad after I log in using my account info? I have to uninstall the app and then reinstall and be sure not to log in on either device to use

Didnt/wont download. After purchasing, the app didnt/will not download. I can only access by going into the app store and opening from there. Not visibly present on my home screen / app page. Annoying, and almost as annoying as the constant upgrade requests, every time I have tried to open it since purchasing Ironic - just like airlines where you buy a seat and its not there and then you have to pay for every little accommodation

Was great, but totally ripped me off!. I switched to a new iPhone to which to my dismay was requested to pay a monthly fee for the premium version of this app AFTER I PAID FOR A PREMIUM PERMANENT VERSION on my other phone! I am getting sick and tired of these app creators greed and asking for monthly fees and screwing over people who already bought a premium NOT MONTHLY subscription! I wonder if I can sue the creators of this app for taking my money and taking away my access!?

By subscription only. I read the post by one reviewer that it was by subscription only. The app developer responded to that post by saying you can choose to not accept the subscription and keep using the general functionality for free. I tried to install it and it only gave me two subscription choices. Every time I tried to click the trail it did nothing. Therefore 1 star and not going to use this app….. can’t even get past the subscription offerings to just use the trail.

J Charles. I have had this app for going on 2 years and for the last 2 months it has been terrible. It’s showing flights that are nowhere near where they show on the radar screen. I have asked for help on 3 separate occasions and have NOT received it.

Trying to unsubscribe. Five stars because the app seems good, but I'm trying to cancel subscription that will auto-start after the 3 day free trial. Nothing is working, my iPhone does not present the same steps the app's instruction say to do to cancel the subscription.

Troy. This is a really great app. I am using the upgraded version and there are no adds. It's impressive the information this provides. I live about 30 miles from SeaTac airport and can watch the planes line up. I can see aircraft type, speed, altitudes, origin, destination, tracking and more.
