Horrible customer service- losing money to glitches. We have lost bookings due to this apps inability to perform as it should. Requests constantly “time out” when trying to send texts and calls, clients texts won’t send to us and then we look unresponsive. Then when I logged out to try and reinstall the app, now we can’t log back in! Same error message “request timed out.” This is a business app, without even a phone line to call for assistance. If you care about the reputation of your business and being responsive to your clients, just shell out the money for a traditional business phone. Currently, we really wish we had. So disappointed.

My old account. Hi there I had shut off my account but it said I could come back and see what people called and to reactivate my account but now it won’t let me is there away to use the same account and phone number or is it to late?

App won’t open on iPhone. I’ve been using this app for 2 years and besides small glitches it’s been working fine but a couple of days ago it just stopped opening on my iPhone. Tried to uninstall & reinstall and still won’t work. I use this for business so this is extremely frustrating. I’ve emailed customer support twice with no reply on what is the status of the app. Came on here hoping to get answers to when this will be fixed

What’s wrong with the application slow functions. Not cool.. What’s wrong with the application it is always acting up either not receiving messages or loading up messages very late and having slow functions. Not cool.

This app has horrible technical/customer support. Immediately had issues porting in my business line. Texts haven’t been working since we started. Emailed over 15 times and still no resolution and no response for the past 3 days. Very frustrated and it has hurt my business financially due to the text issue! Horrible app!!! Having trouble trying to port out and switching so now my number is hostage!

Bad, Bad Support!. I’m paid for the whole year!!! Something happened and they want me to get another number! All the contacts I made, had no way of getting back to me!!!! Support said they are working on it, and never heard back from them!!!! 2023- still no resolution!!! Took my money and never resolved the problem. If you are in business, DO NOT pay for the year! Better yet, DO NOT GET THIS APP!

List Business line with 411. James was able to assist me with listing my business number under 411. This step made my new business line official. This service is great and affordable for small business owners like me! Excellent customer service 🎉

Error after Error. Disappointed is an understatement. Been trying to use it all morning. Downloaded the app, paid the $7.99 for the month, when I went further into the app it froze. Restarted the app a couple of times, every time I tried to use it Errors would pop up, closed it, restarted and the same issue all around their features, from setting the office time, automatic replies, and even calls. Haven’t been able to make not even 1 call. I’ve submitted (2) reports already so lets see if they fix whatever it is before the day is done. Otherwise, I’ll have to cancel and find another option.

Do Not Use Them. I started using SwitchUp for a business I started 3 years ago and it’s been one problem after another. They keep making you up your service to get the same benefits you got when you signed up and if you do not upgrade you lose everything but a call in. I have not been able to get access to my account in over 4 days, not receiving my calls, texts, or vm’s which has cost me a large amount of money. Getting a hold of customer support is nonexistent, I’ve emailed and send message for day and multiple times with zero reply. I am contacting Better Business Bureau, Apple, and my business lawyer. If I can prevent one person from this horrible company this review was worth it.

Was working - Now it is not. I use this for a business line. It was working great till this past week. It has been impossible to conduct business when it lags and gives error messages. I have restarted my phone multiple times. Made sure the app and my phone are up to date. Still no improvement. Please fix the app ASAP so I can conduct business!

Terrible - business ruined. This is the second time this has happened. I can’t believe I relied on this service a second time. When I have tech issues there is no number to call. I’ve sent my support request over an hour ago and nobody has responded. My business relies on this second line. Literally leaving right now to go buy a second phone to never have to use this app again (or any second line app). Not realizable for serious business needs.

So far so good. So far so good, i just downloaded so i will let you know how it really is once i start using it. It was very easy to download and it doesnt cost that much so far its affordable and very convient way to have a 2nd phone number.

Terrible app. Constant issues that app won’t load. I’ve used it a few times and it seem to be working OK. Now I get an error message every time I load the app to make a call or send a text message. This is unacceptable for an app especially when you charge a monthly fee. Be careful using this app. My clients are now reaching out trying to contact me saying my phone doesn’t work. App works when it wants to. This app goes in and out of working constantly I use it for my business line. Big mistake is sometimes I can’t make fault phone calls and sometimes I can’t receive phone calls then it’ll tell me to pay force subscription I’ve paid double multiple times just to re-download the app then I bought my number from them for 9.99 and they will not respond to me in order to assist me with porting my number that I own out to another carrier it’s ridiculous don’t even bother signing up a headache

Cannot port out the number, no body help.. Terrible Experience – Cannot Port Out My Number! I've had many frustrating experiences with SwitchUp. I tried to port out my number, but it's impossible! The process is unclear, and when I reached out for help, no one responded. I've been stuck without any support or guidance. It's incredibly disappointing that something as basic as porting a number is such a hassle. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone looking for reliable service.

A joke. We use this app for our business, but have been having issues where we can’t even use it AT ALL. Trying to contact someone to help is IMPOSSIBLE. And when they finally decide to reach back out all they have to say is they are aware of their problems. Excuse me? We are a business we cannot afford to have that lame excuse while we are possibly losing business. And if you are aware of your problem how about you reimburse your customer or even contact them to answer their questions. Terrible company terrible idea. I would have anyone who uses this as a means of important communication to reconsider as it might not even work and to pay for something that doesn’t work is a cheat of your money.

No Customer Support & Longtime Subscription Not Working. I had been utilizing the SwitchUp app for years and all of a sudden it stopped working. I kept getting messages that “my subscription failed to send to backend” and another message that stated my “subscription couldn’t be found”. When I tried contacting customer support, I received a single message many weeks after having reported the issue. I contacted Apple Support, who of course, advised me to contact SwitchUp app support. The app support is terrible and non-existent. I lost years of contacts/messages/calls. They had no problem deducting the monthly app fee and never missed a beat ensuring receipt of their money but yet the customer service was no where to be found.

Great For Small Businesses. So I tried Google Voice but that wasn’t that great since you technically can’t use the Google number for business without paying. I opted for Grasshopper for an 800 number, but found it to be too expensive considering the size of my business. I came across this service and it just fit. It’s perfect for what I need and I’m very happy with it.

Does not live up to the hype.. The subscription plan I have is supposed to allow me to audio record phone conversations. No such button is in the app. Neither is there an option to get voice support, a human on the other side of the phone to try and diagnose the problem. I won’t be staying with this so called service very long. They have a Lotta bugs to work out.

Never receive notifications. So inconvenient with notifications never appearing. I’ve followed the suggestions for troubleshooting, still nothing. I have to check myself every few minutes when expecting a message. When I’m not I could miss messages for hours if I don’t open the app. Free apps like WhatsApp and google voice have never given me these issues. There is no reply when reaching out for assistance. Awful service. Don’t get it if you haven’t already. This app and the people running it are awful. Instead of assistance, I’m asked to wait for a new update.

App crashed a week ago. Switchup crashed a week ago. I reached out to Support over a week ago every day for the past week to let them know that I have no access to the second phone number which is the primary number for my tax preparation business. It is the end of March at the peak of my business. I have prepaid for this app and yet I have absolutely no contact from SwitchUp to this point. Absolutely worst customer service. I have emailed them. I have left messages over and over and yet I have not got one response.

Great except texting issues.. I have had no issues with the service out side of not receiving some text messages. I’m not sure how many this potential customer happened to get reach out to me via social media when she didn’t get a response. I Waiting to see what SwitchUp has a say to fix it.

Cautiously optimistic. I’m adjusting my rating with a cautious 4 stars if not for just the customer support earnest to rectify for a new app still working through it’s kinks. Hopefully it will get its faults sorted out. I been very satisfied with it’s sister app RoboKiller and hope it will one day render the same efficient and straightforward service.

Customer service 👎. Their customer service is awful. There’s only one way to get ahold of them and that’s by reporting a problem through the app which they hardly ever respond to. They were so good for the first couple years I had them but for the last year it’s been nothing but problems. Currently, my incoming calls are showing a missed call notification but my phone never rings. I am missing a ton of business calls and losing customers. Extremely disappointed in this app. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is the one!!!!. This f#*+in app is great and works without any glitches or freezing up. I’ve recommended it to multiple people that I do business with and to my friends just because I like it so much. No cappin. And I never do reviews so that says a lot in itself. Get it tho. It’s exactly what you need. At least for me it was.

Unstable and often useless. I tried to love this app for my business, since I wanted something with both templates and auto responses. It often doesn’t get messages for a long time and is now unable to verify my subscription even after being charged twice. I haven’t been able to get my messages for days which is terrible for business. I’ll use the tried and true from now on, awful experience and way too expensive.

Horrible-I’ve used it for 2 years. I’m coming up on my renewal for my 3rd year and the service has gotten crappier and crappier so I am just getting an actual phone with actual service. Phone calls often don’t come through, vms come through hours or days later. Texts don’t come through until late and often don’t send, or other times you’ll get each text 18 times. Seriously horrible service.

What happened..?. This used to be a great great app, albeit a little pricey yet worth it. I’ve been a user for over two years now. However, starting in mid-July 2024, I kept receiving an “API Error” and the app would not work in any capacity. I have emailed customer service three times since this issue starting happening and have yet to receive a response. I’ve still been charged for July and August and so far have not received a refund nor a response to my issue. I’m assuming the app is officially dead…

Great App but Terrible customer service. I run my business off of this app. I got locked out & haven’t heard a response in 5 days. This has costed me a lot of money and potentially lost me some customers. I have sent 10 emails about this, but I haven’t had one response.

The problem never resolved and dropped. Contacting customer service is like sending messages to Mars. Purchased the app for use as a business number. I had friends that used different cell phone carriers call me. The phone does not allow for calls to come through from AT&T customers. That is great right. A lot of my business comes in from Instagram. I removed app put app back on phone twice. I did everything that customer service suggested could be the problem. Everything they suggested that I didn't do with their app I had already done. So now I have 300 garment labels printed with my business phone number that doesn't accept phone calls from all carriers. You also have to wait for days for them to actually address your email. So now I am stuck and their free one month is a joke because your issues are not worked out in a month however you are billed on time. I went with them because I thought they were vetted by Apple. Go with Google it is free.

After 2 1/2 years….It’s GONE!. Had no issues for that long and now the app crashes and I can not access my business line. I’ve went a message through apple about it not no avail. Semi-upset but how long should I have expected this 2nd line app to work. Thanks for the 2 1/2 years. Sorry my business line was needed for much longer than that.

App doesn’t work at all. This app is a bait and switch- avoid at all costs. First month was okay, as was month 2 and 3, by month 4 this app was glitchy. By month 6 I decided to port my number out which they charged $10 to do and never allowed the other company to port the number. I emailed support and was never supported- they said there was a problem with their system but never returned my money. They charged me again for the year shortly after and then the app stopped working at all, no way to get help or say their was a problem. Avoid this and just get another number. This was a terrible headache.

No support. I have had 3 numbers for almost 2 years. Everything was fine until it wasn’t. Wrote in requesting support because the numbers on my account just stopped working. No one has ever contacted me - so I had to put in a request for Apple to refund the money I paid. The service was decent during the time I was subscribed but can’t get ahold of anyone to provide solutions - only remedy seems to ask for a refund. Now I am looking for a new carrier to port my numbers to (which fyi… costs $10 per line)

Horrible experience. My subscription does not end until Nov 2025. On 5/1 I received a call from a client and went to text the client some information. When I tried to send the message I now get a subscription expired notice and I cannot communicate with my client who is waiting for a response. Now phone number is provided for customer support. Crazy bad for business. I don’t recommend using this app!

Don’t subscribe. I have a subscription which I pay annually. My subscription is valid through August 2025. However I keep getting notifications that my subscription has expired, that SwitchUp is having technical difficulties…I have submitted 7 emails to the customer service department and technical support desk and now 5 weeks later no one has returned my call or responded to my request. I cannot currently send or receive texts or calls on the SwitchUp number. I have no idea how much business I have lost in the past 5 weeks. SwitchUp doesn’t have a posted number to call when their service isn’t working. So SwitchUp if you’re reading this, please contact me.

Very helpful. I was able to fix a miss understanding with the person i was seeing at the time, i used this app after getting blocked and it lets u switch #for a additional $5 if u get blocked again😆i do recommend it

Right on right on.. I’ve dealt with many text me companies’ and by far very far’ Switch Up tops them all with discretionary connections’ and privacy. I love it, especially the low monthly and yearly rates. Thank you Switch Up.

Not reliable. It has not worked as intended, reliably. I’ve lost calls without realizing it. It has been the cause of some major headaches. This is not a professional option for me. It was promising with neat features. I got to pick my own phone number. I could set business hours. But it lost the outgoing phone message. Calls coming in got picked up by a bad electronic voice answering response. The recording took to long to get to me. During business hours it would be a hit or miss for a call to come through. I wanted it to work and gave it a good effort as I had the phone number printed on all my business materials. I’m trying to port out the number, but having difficulty with that as well.

My app refuse to open when clicked. I have been using this app and it's wonderful but now I can open the app yet am receiving messages on my phone why is that and I hope it's can be fixed

Joke. I can’t access any of my info my voicemail calls anything it says that there’s an error and it’s been saying this for me for four months now

Middle of the Road Solution. I enjoy the clean UI, list of available numbers, and ability to set business (do-not-disturb) hours. However, from what I can tell, there is no way in the app or thru Apple Subscriptions to switch between monthly / annually subscriptions. I would likely give this app one more month prior to deleting it, unless I am able to upgrade to an annual subscription. Personally, I dislike the idea of a monthly recurring charge for app subscriptions.

No support at all. I used this app and it worked. I warn you though, if you ever have issues with this app you will be at the mercy of whom ever decides to get back to you only via email. They have poor customer support.. submit a ticket and hope that they get back to you within maybe 48 hours. I used the app for a short time for my personal business to separate phone calls. Eventually I needed to upgrade from this app to a real phone. So I went to ATT with the port number provided and had the number transferred. It didn’t go so smoothly and even after cancelling the SwitchUp service and deleting the app and alllllllll the hours on the phone with ATT trying to troubleshoot, phone calls are still being sent to the app. I’ve continuously reached out to SwitchUp support and expressed my concerns and am still trying to resolve this issue. But nobody seems to really care. I will never use this cheap crap again.

Does what it’s supposed to. My siblings & I are trying to sell our house so I download SwitchUp so I didn’t have people calling while I’m trying to sleep. The only feature I’d like to see added is the ability to set a different ringtone in the app. That way you could differentiate which line they’re calling on without having to look.

Crash. I’m sick and tired of this app, please you guys should stay away from this particular app. I only enjoyed the first month and the rest was just useless, I paid every month but the app keep crashing everyday by day and no good outcome from the app. Right now the app doesn’t even open talkless of using it.

Great App, Fantastic Support!. Just got off trial and found the app to be intuitive and easy to use. Integrates all call and text information between lines so there’s no confusion where calls are coming from. Had initial setup issue with my carrier and support team was on the spot getting it corrected. Communicative, responsive and very friendly.

Great idea and app. A few glitches here and there, and limited functionality, compared to standard iPhone keyboard (emojis, gif’s, etc.) Plus, I can’t voice text from it. Hopefully those things will develop in the future.

So far so good. Easy and quick to set up only should tell about the cost before the download of app but still have a choice to accept or decline so only downside is loading what you think is a free app I will see how well it works thanks

Average so far. I like the ease of use and navigation but when a call is made to my number, it takes four rings on the caller side for my line to ring for the first time.

A lot of bugs. I downloaded it so I could have a work phone, but it always bugging, I couldn’t open the texts messages and now I can’t even open my account in the app! Terrible experience.

Better not mess up. If you click the wrong option when setting it up and try to go back and change it in the following screen, it won’t allow you to. Even deleting the app and starting over won’t clear it, you are stuck. Had to delete it for good. Oh well.

I made a accident. I was creating a account for texting people while getting to know them during dating online. I had a few drinks because I am off and up. And while I was rushing to create account so that I can text. I accidentally pressed business and now I’m reluctant to text at all invade I’m being cat fished.

Can’t get rid of it. I unsubscribed from this service and deleted this app. My phone still acts as if I have it. I get tons of scam calls on this number, plus they gave this number to multiple company’s trying to solicit business from me. I can’t get rid of this thing! Can’t receive text messages. This app is annoying. I can’t receive text messages but people can see mine. It’s been over a week now. It was working fine and stopped all of a sudden and I have a yearly subscription.

Great customer service. I had an issue with texts. SwitchUp continued to follow up with me personally until it was fixed. Rare customer service for an app.

It’s bad. Do not use this, when you call it comes up as “scam likely” to whom ever you are calling. For some reason the phone numbers are not the same and when you call someone it changes their number. The whole thing is a mess.

Worst service I’ve ever paid for. This product just simply doesn’t work, and worse, when you report an issue, their service reps simply say, “yeah we’re aware it doesn’t work”, without offering a timeframe for resolution or apologizing for their software not working at all. This product has been detrimental to my business.

Buyers Beware!. I have complained that my app is not ringing when I receive calls for sometime now. If you are looking at the phone you can see you have a call after the fact, but you don’t hear any ring sound. My complaints have fallen on deft ears… Buyer Beware!

Bad. I just tried my first call to my work number to test this app out and it failed! Said my work number was out of service which it isn’t cause it’s a corporate number . I cancelled this app already after the first attempt failed .

Repeated text messages. When notifications are on I always get a text a person sent me over and over and over and over again.

Can’t hear voicemail messages. This app is just ok. I don’t like that it doesn’t mirror my iPhone do not disturb settings nor can I hear the voicemail messages that are left. Other than these annoyances I guess it’s ok. 🤷🏽‍♀️
