This is a killer app. I am beginning to love Productive. It is a customizable app that makes it easier for you to build and stick to habits. I started trying this out for a week and didn’t use it very much, because the app is really valuable if you dedicate time to customizing it and using it. When my free week expired, it auto-bought the year membership, so I thought, fine, let me give it a second try. Boy am I glad I did. I use Productive between 1-3 times a day, which makes sense: the app has 3 built in reminders to do tasks (morning, afternoon, and evening). It has been a tool I’ve used to put into action the morning and evening routines I want to do on a daily basis. It has also helped me figure out what habits I am building effectively and which ones I am not, because I see how many days in a row I’ve done something and it’s a signal to me that my system is broken if I lapse more than a day in a row. It also helped me to realize that being specific and actionable is super important because there is nothing to “do” on an item that is general and vague. All in all, I’ve started to recommend this app to my clients and think if someone is a self-starter, they will appreciate this and might even love it! The one thing I hope Productive improves is adding more images to assign to habits. They have a large list, but to boost it further would be great. Bottom line: worth the $20!

Limitations and constant subscription badgering make this too annoying. I liked the idea and aesthetic of this app. Unfortunately the paywall and its limitations makes it not worth downloading. The help section states that you can add notes onto completed tasks from previous days but you actually can’t. It would make sense that if you clicked on a task then clicked the notes section, you could edit notes but instead it says “swipe left on a task to add notes.” You can’t swipe anything on completed tasks from previous days. I accidentally deleted a completed task from yesterday and had no way of reinstating it. You can only have a limited number of tasks without paying. The to do list function is pretty similar to Wunderlist but with stats on how often you stick to your habits, which I don’t really care about enough to pay for. Every other click on the app leads to a pop up to in app purchases which is really annoying. I’d rather sit through a 30 second ad twice a day than pay for this or continue to use it and deal with the constant pop ups. Maybe I’d pay a onetime nominal fee to use this but not a monthly charge.

Quite a good app. I especially appreciate this app, since the calendar it has tracks when you do things and when you don’t do things. This gives you a satisfying cross-off of the days of the week you do the things you planned, making you feel compelled to keep up the task instead of putting it off another day. That being said, all of the features (in the free version at least) besides reminders can be done using a regular calendar, which would give you an even more satisfying cross-off since it is being done physically. However, I would still recommend this app, for people who are still struggling with procrastination, since it isn’t the laziness but rather the will, and personally the will has kept me going with this app. The only downside is that I think the not free version is quite a bit expensive, especially for a mere habit tracking app, and especially considering that all of the features it has and offers in the paid version could be done with other apps that are free (like apps that come with an iPhone). Nevertheless, this is still an amazing app and it has helped me with habit tracking.

Awesome app, latest update disappointing. This app really helps lower my stress level. I have a lot of administrative tasks to do at work plus a complicated schedule for doing my physical therapy exercises. I was always worried about forgetting something or trying to keep the different days schedule straight in my head. It took a while (and a little planning) to set up, but once set up there’s little to do. Now I relax and just check things off. This app is so customizable, you can separate the work and home tasks (afternoon and evening), have different tasks on different days and put the tasks in any order you want. I would give it 5/5 stars but the new update is not working properly. The slider to mark done and skip hangs frequently, so the task still appears undone. And I preferred the old listing because you could see more tasks at once, since I use this on my iPhone, I have a small screen and I have to scroll more now.

Great app!. I'm 16 and I got this app to keep track of chores and other daily habits I often forget. It's exactly what I needed. I'm not trying to schedule my day down to the minute or even the hour. And I needed an app flexible enough that as long as I complete my habit that day, it doesn't break my streak, but still keeping certain habits to certain times of day. I like that you can schedule an individual habit for multiple times a day instead of having to create the same habit 3 times, each time scheduling a different time. I also enjoy how customizable it is, how you can choose the icon, color and order of the habits. My favorite thing about the app is the general scheduling. There are 3 times to schedule a habit to; morning, afternoon and evening. And you can choose between which times each of these apply. Even if I miss a habit during its schedules time, it isn't counted as missed until the day is over, which keeps my motivation for the streaks up. It's the perfect level of simplicity for me. My only complaint is that I have to pay a subscription for more habits! I don't really care about whatever else comes with premium. I love this app and it's exactly what I need but I can't pay a subscription. If it was a one-time fee for premium forever then I could do that. Even if it was $20 as long as it was just once. Otherwise, this app is just about perfect for me.

Very Helpful and Encouraging. I don't often take time to write reviews, but I am sincerely enjoying this help! It has been so helpful and easy to use. I love how easy to customize this, and if you miss or skip a goal for whatever reason its not degrading. Rather it encourages you to keep going, and do what you can to succeed with whatever size goal/task/daily chore/project/new habit you recorded. I have tried other apps similar before and have been very disappointed, and then ended up losing interest and feeling more defeated by not getting something done. If you are a personality where you need to record your tasks or enjoy the satisfaction of crossing something else off from your day this is for you! I will admit that in the free version I only had the ability to record 2 goals/habits, which was not close to what I was hoping for. The company offered a timed promotion that Im not sure if it was only over the holiday or just as a new user I got a chance to upgrade too. However, I decided to give it a shot as it was only $12 for the full year which was easily affordable and I am really loving the fact I did. I highly recommend!

Confession of an Appaholic. When I see a new and interesting app I can’t help myself- I download and try it. Every few weeks I find myself trying a new “productivity” app, whether it be a to-do or habit tracking or what have you. But this is the app I always find myself coming back to ever since I first downloaded it about six years ago. No other app has been as easy to set up, enjoyable to use, or useful. And every time I come back to it there are more features! Useful features, too, not ones that make things more difficult or overwhelming: they integrate smoothly into what is already there. The only reason I ever stop using this app is because I am so bad at sticking to a routine. But when I put forward the effort, this is the only app I have found that actively encourages me. Just the idea of using it is enough to help me recommit :) And I have never regretted buying the full version, which is not the case with so many other apps. Give it a try and you’ll understand why the ratings are so consistently good.

I recommend!. So I normally NEVER write reviews for anything, but I figured I’d make an exception. I have trouble staying focused, procrastinating, and keeping up with important habits. I have tried several methods of to-do lists but nothing has kept me motivated. I downloaded the app because it looked aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. It only took me a few minutes to figure it out because it is SUPER easy to use. Productive keeps your tasks and habits super easily organized without overwhelming you. You can set times, durations, and goals on all your tasks. It is easily customizable and honestly makes me excited to get my tasks done for the day! If you are looking for an easy app to organize your life and boost productivity I highly recommend Productive! Btw, I use the free version and it works perfectly fine! Honestly, the makers of Productive, thank y’all so much!

Shameful there’s no free option at all. So sad. This app used to be free but now you can’t use it at all without shoving out $30. I don’t understand why it’s so expensive as the only changes I’ve noticed is geo tagging habits? I understand it’s only $2.50 a month but my mind still can’t justify why, seems just desperate. Wish they introduced any free option, maybe with ads. But not having that option at all, even with limited functionality, is very disappointing. It just seems like, it’s all about money and that’s it. Also saw a note that if you paid before ($3.99 for unlimited use) you can restore that purchase. That’s great for some people but my Apple ID is different. Sounds like I’m out of luck. UPDATE//free option is available—when prompted to try free before subscribing just click the x to be taken to the app. Wish this was clearer, there should be something that says “try free option”. Either way, happy it’s free. The aesthetic and modern vibe of the app is great but that shady little trick about subscribing is disappointing

I liked balanced better. I appreciate the ability to schedule todos or habits on specific days of the week but balanced had the ability to actually set the frequency of a habit for seasonal and yearly tasks. Productive doesn't seem to do that. I thought it did once actually but it looks like it doesn't now either way. For me, i use this mainly to keep track of household chores. I like not setting a specific day but rather a frequency. I know i need to clean bedsheets once a week... other things once a month. Other things once a season and others like spring cleaning, once a year. So this doesn't work for me anymore and balanced is gone. Fortunately i can just download it still from the backup so I'm just going to continue using that instead. Also i like that theres functionality for the apple watch but i find that its a lot more useful to have a complication for these kinds if apps. Just a simple complication that tells me whats at the top of the list for today. Something like that. So yeah bring back seasonal and yearly frequencies and make a complication. :)

The free version doesn’t let you do anything at all pretty much. Wow first off I was super happy that I found an app that would fit me perfectly and keep in mind I am aware about the whole free aspects of apps and I’m Not new to the free treatment but Holy cow you cannot even do anything why would we only have at least three habits the whole point of the app and we can only have three I can download another app that would let me do way more than just three I get you guys might not have the best reasons to push users to get a premium but oh my gosh that is not making me I want to get a premium it makes me want to immediately delete the app I’m a student and I’m on a budget I even needed this app of checking my subscriptions for other things and wow how ironic the reminding app Also wants a subscription to!? Look all I’m asking is I hope you guys find a way to give users more habits than just three at least six I mean come on now it’s a reminding app and I’m not even touching on how expensive The premium is for just a DAME REMINDING APP! That’s all this app is I don’t even know why it’s offering a subscription to begin with but just let us have more reminders that’s all I ask

“Mark a habit as incomplete”. I think there should be a feature where you can mark that a habit was not completed. There is a feature where you can skip a habit in special occasions, and there is a feature where you can mark that a habit was completed. I understand that if you don’t do either of these then the app recognizes it as an incomplete habit but sometimes when I go back to previous days and see that a habit is not completed, I can’t remember if I just forgot to mark it as complete or if I actually didn’t do it. That’s why I really think there should be a feature to mark that a habit was not completed instead of just having that be recognized by the app if you don’t mark it at all. I don’t want to just skip a habit and have it say that my streak continues. I benefit from the punishment of losing a streak. That’s why I want there to be an additional feature to mark that a habit was not completed. Maybe it could be a long press on the habit or some other type of gesture. Thank you for your time and for considering this feature. Other than this feature, I would actually give five stars—but this is a huge issue for me that is make or break for me.

Great User Interface and Habit/Goal Setup Option But lacks good Stats. The user interface is probably one of the better ones I’ve tried and intuitive user engagement. Good Options in habit/goal domains with icons and colors, but no tags so i can filter or sort categories how i want them. However I think for the price compared to some it lacks a lot on various informative calendar views/stats. All it gives you is if you got all your goals done in a day and what those streaks are. I think for habits it is better to see overall how you are doing on a daily, weekly, monthly basis for either each habit/goal and entire summary fo all. Also, there should be option to better visually see the Habit For SKIP, or FAIL. I think good app for some that don’t need to see useful calendar stats in a few intuitive views. If you Update your calendar/stat view options similar to Habit Bull or Way of Life I will come back as those other apps lack in fun user interface.

Cool app, could use some more features. I literally just downloaded this app, and will probably revise my number of stars once I get better acquainted with it, but I wanted to share this thought before I forget... I think it would be cool if you added the feature to tap certain goals each time you do them. Like for example: posture. I need to check/correct my posture more than 3 times per day, but that’s the most frequent option the app allows. I’d like to be able to tap my posture goal each time I check/correct my posture, and for the app to keep a count of how many times I did that throughout the morning/afternoon/evening/day/week. And that tap count option would be something you could toggle on/off for any task. Then I can see how engaged I am with that task, since good posture ultimately and ideally needs to be done 100% of the time that I’m awake. This feature could help me track how my engagement with this task improves/declines day to day and week to week.

love it !!. i downloaded this app as a way to encourage myself to get my life in track. i wanted to study more, wake up earlier, remember to take my meds, drink water etc etc. these are all very basic things, but i genuinely do struggle with them, given my crippling ADHD and other mental health issues. i didn’t expect it to help, but it completely turned my world right side up, much to my surprise. obviously, no, this app will not fix your whole life and solve all your problems for you, but it will encourage you to remember what you need to do. plus, swiping right to mark the task as done, kind of gives you a little “i did it!” type of feeling, leaving you a little more satisfied with your day. anyways, if you are willing to put in the work— yes, this app works perfectly well and worth at least a try.

Nice app but lacking some important features.. I’m a premium user of this app, and overall it’s nice looking and moderately functional. My biggest complaint is that it’s almost useless for data tracking. I meditate pretty much every day, but I consider doing it at least five days a week a success. So I went ahead and set the goal for five days a week. I meditated five days in a row, and suddenly I’ve lost the option to track it anymore for that week. Say I meditate every day for a week, I can’t track that under the five days setting. Meaning if I want to go back in time to see what days I usually miss, notice any patterns in the data—I’m out of luck. If I set it to the every day setting, and I miss a day, I lose my streak in the habit. Either I set it to five days, and I can’t keep accurate data records, or I set it to a week and I lose the motivation of maintaining a streak. It’s a really big flaw in the app and it would be nice to have it fixed. At least an option to allow a user to go over the set number of days would be nice, even if it wasn’t the default setting.

If I could give it zero stars…I would.. I downloaded this app and tried the premium version on a trial basis (probably around 6 months ago). I immediately cancelled so that the charge would not renew. Since cancelling months ago, I have continually received a $6.99 charge/monthly for this app. It is not listed under my active or inactive subscriptions under my Apple ID. I went into the app itself and selected “subscription management”. A message immediately came up with an email address to reach out to in order to cancel my app. I received an automated response telling me I need to cancel it through my subscriptions on my Apple ID (the problem being it is not listed under my subscriptions). I have since emailed support 5+ more times and gotten no response. I’m on the phone with Apple support right now trying to get this figured out. This has been beyond ridiculous. The $6.99 charge isn’t the point…it’s the ignorance of the customer support team on the app side. This is the first review I’ve ever left for an app but I felt I needed to share this with the world because this is just terrible business acumen.

Fantastic app! Please don’t use if you don’t like the price. This app is working great for me. I needed an app to remind me of my daily supplements intake, at different times of a day, and some other various habits like what time to go to bed, doing some stretches in the middle of a working days. This app did just that but in a really convenient way, much better than just the free reminder app. I especially love the Siri shortcut to signal completion of the task. Please stop complaining if you’re not happy about the pricing structure. The free reminder is there on your phone to do a decent job if you’re not willing to pay. I understand not everyone is willing to pay a certain prices for certain things but you simply don’t buy something if it’s out of your budget or you wait for a sale, not giving it bad review based on their prices you’re not willing to pay

I didn’t use it. So it’s a free service, but.... blah blah blah. No it’s NOT a free service, there is a subscription price, and if cancellation takes effect, you get downgraded to the free service after paying for the subscription! Is it free or not! Make it clear, make it plain, smoke and mirrors is for the Friday night comedy show, not my personal life. I downloaded just to find that there is a 7 day “free” trial, after which the subscription price takes effect, but you can cancel, oh but wait, cancellation takes effect 24 hours after the last use of the upgraded..... and you lost me. If I want to read ramblings I can just click on some random privacy policy in anything at all. A waste of m time, and I want to be compensated for wasting my time that I should have been using to do chores and be productive, like the name of your highly elusive 1 star app. So I deleted the app, but now I’m combing through my account settings to see if you somehow hooked into my Apple Pay for some strange subscription that I don’t even want any part of! I have a note pad! It costs $.25! Give me my time back!

Do NOT trust this app for long term goals. If you want an app that you can trust with your personal growth, this is not the app. I used this app to track some very personal and meaningful growth, with over 820 days (that's over 2 years!) of perfect days. I succeeded in meeting my goals Every. Single. Day. for more than two years. What happened? Apalon made an update and wiped my data. I'm now back at zero. I'm devastated. My stomach is in my throat. Do not make the mistake I did in trusting them with your goals. Do not trust them to track your progress. Use Google calendar, or a physical journal, or anything else. Do not trust them long term. It might work today, or day 800, but eventually you will wake up and find your progress gone and with it your sense of accomplishment! Note: I did reach out to support. They replied after a day, saying "We're working on it." From there I didn't hear from them. I have emailed them two more times, without a word back, which was over a week ago. I'm beyond heartbroken. Again, do not trust this app for any of your long term goals, you will regret it. Eventually they will destroy your data.

Scheduling Habit. Organizational aids and visual tools are imperative to progress for my day. **I have already bought the Premium option. But, if there was anything that make the all-amazing app the ALL-IN-ONE for me it would be to be able to drag and drop tasks onto a daily schedule (dare I say like Time Finder app). It allows you to set up a full schedule, see at a glance where you are on a time line with your tasks- copy and repeat days to minimize fuss.... AND linking that to one’s calendar, including that content with all of your appointments?? That would be the biggest stress reliever for me EVER! Moving times that the task was completed, even just for that day, and being able to look back at the pattern of when certain tasks were better able to be executed than other times of the day. It would serve as a visual aid in my time management, instead of sort of feeling like I’m living aimlessly from one random chime to the next. Please consider. :)

Glitches, crashes, poor sync across devices. I’ve been using this app for about a year and half now and I’ve had many problems. Nothing just works how its supposed to. My completed tasks aren’t being synced across my devices, so if I click completed on my Apple Watch or iPhone, my iPad won’t reflect it, and vice versa. Sometimes it will sync one completion here or there but its very unreliable. I can mark every task completed on my iPad and hours later my iPhone has only realized I’ve completed one or two tasks. My devices haven’t even synced some completions from a month ago. This defeats the purpose of having it on separate devices if they won’t sync properly... as well as the whole idea of tracking habits. On to the next problem: the sometimes working Apple Watch app. Probably 50% of the time the Apple Watch app is non-responsive or just crashes when you open it. I’ve had days where I can’t open the app on the Apple Watch. Yes... everything is updated and my settings are set to sync across devices... things just don’t work. I can’t believe I’ve paid for two years of service that works this poorly. EDIT: Now even a year later it still is not syncing anything between my devices. In fact, I don’t even see an iCloud option in the settings anymore. I think they gave up on the syncing.

The First Steps are Simple With the App. Hey all, After thinking for a little bit of time of when I would start my habits and good motivation to do it, it was not until this app that I really started doing much. I see this app as a rehabilitations skill builder in habits in a way that moves my inspiration to want to do habits a lot simpler. I find myself adding goals every day and it’s consistently interesting to see how much I want to accomplish vs how much I would accomplish. It’s peaceful to know I use this as a guide and I realized it also clears my mind to write it all down. Didn’t realized how much in a day there is to do, but how much you can do within a given time (I.e thirty minutes blocks can get so much done. Anyway I won’t over express myself here. But I think all should give this a try, I found an objective benefit to using it and I do have a subjective view on it since I used it. But if you want to move forward with organization with your habits and decrease Brian focus on your habits and build more accountability for yourself, I recommend this app! Thanks all, All the best!

Unable to cancel trial. The app itself is fine maybe? I didnt get that into it really, an when I tried (on day 5 of my 7 day trial) to cancel, there was nowhere to cancel my subscription in apple store, it didnt show that I had a subscription through there. So I went to the app itself and when I looked at my account info it looks like I have no subscription. Didnt give me an option to cancel trial and actually was offering me a one week free trial. I had no indication that I had an active trial or subscription so I had no way to cancel that trial. And then this morning I get a notice from my bank that I was charged for a years subscription 😕 I might actually have signed up at some point and the 29ish bucks for a year seems like a good deal but I wasnt ready to sign up and I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to cancel the trial, yet was charged anyhow. It feels kind of sketchy to me that they were offering me a free trial when I already had one and no way of cancelling the one I already had. So now I get to call my bank and have them reverse the charge. Fun.

Well designed with spotty execution. I’ve been using this app (with premium features) for years because I haven’t found another app that is as good as this one for tracking habits. That being said I’ve looked long and hard for an alternative. My issues with the app are 1) in that it has below average integration across devices. I have an iPad and it doesn’t load all of the habits from the phone into the tablet. It will load some but not all. It also takes forever (if it will do it at all) to sync with me marking a habit on one device. Example. I marked a habit complete around midday on the phone and the iPad app never registered it so it still showed up as incomplete in the iPad. And 2) if you’re relying on it for an accurate “perfect streak” count look elsewhere or track with a red X on a calendar. You can have a million perfect days in a row and the app arbitrarily decides to not track some days in the streak. Which is weird because the counter for “days complete” is accurate but the streak counter is completely random. Again. Best I’ve found and does a lot of things right. But I’ve also been looking for an alternative for a while.

Scam!. I got the app and decided after a couple of days that it wasn’t a good fit for me, so when I went to unsubscribe from it, there was no option to unsubscribe as there usually is with apps. After messing with it for awhile, I assumed there was no option to unsubscribe because I wasn’t going to be billed anything - I ended up getting billed $23 all of a sudden, a month later, for an app I don’t even use! I’m a broke college student - I can’t afford to lose that money. The option to unsubscribe NEEDS to be more available and user-friendly. Edit: I’m fully aware that manually unsubscribing from the app is necessary, as is with most apps, but there is literally no option to opt out under those settings - the button in red font at the bottom of the page that should be there is nonexistent, but it’s present in the other apps I have. As I said above, I already tried to unsubscribe but eventually assumed that I wasn’t going to be charged since every other app I had, and the format of the page in the tutorial, included a very obvious “unsubscribe” button. I’d just like to know what my options are for getting my money refunded.

Could be better.. The Productive app seems to be a great app, allowing you to keep up with habits and reminds you of events or tasks you need to complete. Yet, the amount of ads it has promoting itself is distasteful and will bug out to where you can not add another task. The main screen also has another bug. The text that comes down when you’re adding a new habit will merge with the line of text that comes up stating that you don’t have any tasks at the moment, but later in the day. I’m disappointed that such a highly ranked productivity app does not simply have a tab in the settings area asking if you want to upgrade or not. As an example, the P. Schedule has this system to where you can upgrade for better quality, but you aren’t bombarded with ads asking you for a yearly membership. And for an app that hasn’t been updated in 11 months, I think I’d give my money to them. Until this type of problem is fixed or becomes less of an annoyance, I will not be using this app any longer.

Almost the best, but behind on the times. This app genuinely might be the best at handling habits right now, but it is seriously missing a feature that modern apps really need to be functional for the modern productivity-minded individual: syncing across devices! If you’ve got a great set of habits built for yourself on the iPad, but then leave the house and think you’ll be able to track those habits on your iPhone or Apple Watch, you’ll be sadly mistaken. And that’s a huge drawback when you are someone that relies on a wide variety of devices in various locations to get your daily things done. After researching other options, I will be switching until this necessary feature is implemented and no longer hindering workflow or habit tracking. other suggestions include: -being able to mark additional times you completed a habit beyond the goal number -ability to split screen with other apps

Great app w/room for improvement. I’ve had this app for years and have used it on and off, it helps me get on track and I recommend it. I really like the app for keeping track of all the daily things I want to get done, and especially things I’d like to do only once a week or month, like calling my grandmother and taking the time to plan my month out at the beginning of each month. I can check them off and then won’t be reminded again until the next week or month. It’s easy enough to use. I just have one rather large problem with it. It can be really discouraging the way it only gives you credit for “perfect days.” I just started the habit of drinking 8 glasses of water each day, I’ve achieved 5 glasses, 7 glasses etc, but in my stats, it’s like I drank no water at all. It’s really dissatisfying. A big motivation for me is feeling accomplished when I can see what I’ve done. This app would be perfect if it notified me “you’ve completed 50% of your morning habits today! Keep it up!” Or if I could see I’ve almost reached my 8 full glasses of water almost every day this week. With how I use the app, it’s almost impossible to achieve a perfect day, but it’d be nice to see that I keep up with over 70% of my daily habits each week. Or I do 100% of my nighttime habits. That’s something I would change, along with how sensitive the buttons are, I’m always accidentally swiping habits left or right when I’m just scrolling through them. It’s annoying.

It is what I’ve been looking for!. Love this app! Has really helped me to stay on track and get things done! Love the Apple Watch app to easily touch the “complication” on the watch face that brings me to my list of activities for the morning/afternoon/ evening. Super helpful! Plus I love that you have the option to a start a timer right there for a selected activity (like reading for 30 mins). I used to tell myself I’ll sit and read for a large chunk of time, but wouldn’t get to it, so now I have it scheduled to read every morning and evening for 30 mins. The functionality and options within the app are well thought out and effective with minimization of tedious scheduling. The app is super encouraging as well! Just very well thought out. I’m glad I sprung for the membership deal when I signed up! Five stars. ————- One suggestion or request I would make to the developers is the ability to add a Task (versus a habit) so that it is added easily to my “to do’s” (One thing I would like to understand is how things are sorted within the time of day. Sometimes I have to play with the details of the habit to make it appear in the order I want it to, so I’d like to know if there’s a trick to this - but usually it is intuitive!) Thank you so much for creating this app!

My Main App. I have paranoid schizophrenia, and having a stable routine along with medication and therapy is essential to my recovery. This is hands down the best app for creating and maintaining a daily self care routine. Being schizophrenic it is hard to stick with a routine. I am always forgetting what I need to be doing. Not anymore with this app. I use this app to remind me of the things I need to do each day. For projects I use Things 3, for one time reminders I use the standard reminders app, and for appointments I use the basic calendar. I keep these four apps in a folder called Daily. If I see a number over the folder, I know that something needs to be done. What I like most about this app is nothing has a time that is set in stone. There are three periods: morning, afternoon, and evening. This gives me needed flexibility, in case I am having a bad day. Also these periods keep me from becoming overwhelmed by looking at a whole days worth of tasks. (Although you can look at the full day if you need to). There is also a satisfying sound when you swipe a task complete. This app has worked wonders in my day to day life living with schizophrenia. If you don’t have a serious mental illness this app will still be extremely handy. If you do have a serious mental illness it is a necessity.

Update: Still Using the App Daily!. UPDATE:: Still using the app daily to track my habits, I know I’m going to do things like walk my dog, drink water, brush teeth, but it is easy to check it off my “did today” list and the little push to keep up with things like tidying my bedroom or dishes is pretty motivating!! So 2-weeks later I’m still on a roll! Yay! First day of downloading:: “I just downloaded this app and got it started today, but so far it’s easy enough. The layout of using the app is kind of confusing, I thought I could add things for specific dates, but that’s okay that I can’t. I’ve started adding simple things like drinking water, walking the dog, etc... it does already feel good when I can mark things “done”. I just know personally I get bored easily with apps I have to use daily but since this doesn’t require writing things down or jotting anything in the app I might actually have a reason to want to keep using it!! 🙂”

Love ❤️ it!!!!!! But . . .. I totally loooooove this app!!!! I would highly recommend it!!!!!! However, my family is in a bit of a pickle as far as money goes and unfortunately I am unable to pay so I can’t have many habits. This is the reason I have given only four stars. However it was an excellent idea to give metals for streaks I love ❤️ that!!! I understand that the price of thirty five dollars a year is very little to ask, and perhaps one day I will be able to give it until then is there ANY possible way for me to have more habits without paying? I understand if there is not but it is still highly recommended for those who are willing to pay!!! I will continue with the small amount I have however but it does often keep me on my feet and up off the couch while still caring for myself and giving my body what it needs like no other app has!!!!😍😍😍🥰😍🥰😍😍😍😍

Great Tool. This app has helped me, far more than any other on the App Store, to take control of my life. It has been especially useful in creating a healthy lifestyle, and to conquer depressive habits I had never been able to. The accountability the app brings is one that is lacking in pressure. If you end up not being able to complete a habit, you don’t get negative feedback. Most habit forming apps on the App Store have negative feedback when you are unable to meet your goals, which can become quickly frustrating and cause more self-criticism. Other apps on the market will send an obnoxious amount of reminders, that eventually become easy to ignore. Rather the app uses as many, or as little, reminders as you want. You can choose which days of the week and what time of day the habits need completed by. With the Premium feature, you are able to create as many habits as you want and gain access to more fun settings. For me, the amount I paid for the yearly subscription was worth it for the changes I have seen in my life. The only problems I have found is in the weekly section. You don’t get the option of choosing the day of the week for habits in the weekly tab. I have a plant I water every two weeks, always on Saturday’s, but there is currently no way to specify this option. Because I can find no other problems, and because of the personal help this app has provided, I am giving it 5 stars.

It’s okay, some flaws. This app IS helpful, as I have started many challenges, and keeping up with them! However, what is really annoying about this app is that if you don’t mark at the end of the day that you have completed the challenge for that day—it automatically starts you over again and says that you failed the challenge. It feels terrible—especially when you are actually doing the challenge and have been for a full week! Please change this. It’s incredible frustrating to keep having to pledge over and over again, especially when I know I haven’t broken the pledge! Perhaps make a notification when you open the app that says “I noticed that you didn’t check in last night, how is the challenge going?” And then gives you the option to say “still going strong” or “I slipped, let’s start over”. I’ve been on the intermittent fasting challenge for almost a week now and in my app it says 0 because I forgot to swipe the challenge last night. It’s just very frustrating. Please fix this. Not everyone is going to have this app chained to their hip, we have lives.

Working so far. I’ve only had this a day, but it’s doing exactly what I want it to — which is to help me stay on task with a fairly regimented routine. I’m a mother of two children not yet in school, and my older son is enjoying having a schedule to follow. So far, so good. UPDATE: After one week, I’m still really liking this app. The interface is appealing and easy to use once you figure out where all the features are. The notification flags are great for keeping me on task. My days have gone much more smoothly and my kids are getting really great at knowing what to expect during the day for the past week. We have far fewer struggles and see much better behavior from them. I’m Type B when it comes to schedules — even though I thrive with one, I have a hard time staying on task by myself. I’ve done yoga every morning for a week! I’ve even had enough time to go to the gym. By myself. With two kids at home with their dad. Seriously! So glad I found this app.

Latest update has terrible UX. Edit: Updating back to 5 stars because the UX has been improved, I’m sure many people enjoy the fancy UI but there is now an option to have a no frills. I have had some issues with habit data not saving properly for the current day, though, when checking habits off sometimes Old review: I agree with some other reviews I’ve seen: this was an update for the sake of updating. It has “fixed” things that were not broken to begin with. The UI used to be minimal and easy to use day to day, but now forces its paradigm of time-of-day habits. Sure, I have some habits for the evening, but a lot of anyone’s habits aren’t strictly for one time of day. It is more difficult now to just get this app to show me what I want—a simple list of my habits for the day. All day habits are now all the way to the left, the app has unneeded animations for what it is (essentially just a simple to do list style app), and the bottom bar UI now centers on adding a new habit, which is one of the actions I’ve used the least. This is making me regret subscribing to this. Maybe I can find a different app that is just simple and elegant, and doesn’t get in my way.

Helpful for Reminding/Bad for Data Tracking. I’ve been using this to set goals to increase meal prepping, eating cooked meals from home and working out. I love the actual checklist part, but the way the app tracks data doesn’t make sense. If you complete all of your daily goals you get a filled in bubble for the day. If you have a goal set for 3x/week, the days that you do that goal will be filled in but the days that you don’t remain hollow. I think at the end of the week if all of your weekly goals are met that all of the bubbles for that week should become filled in to show you had a perfect week. Additionally, I don’t understand how the streaks work (yes I read it in the app). Sometimes if you skip a habit or don’t do it, it will break your streak (which makes sense), but then I’ve also had it happen where if I have perfect days in a row somehow my streak has been broken. I really wish the data collection piece made more sense so I could get a more accurate picture of my hard work.

Great UI but buggy (updated: might be iOS issue). It’s pretty intuitive at first, but when you get deeper into customization, you run into oddities and bugs. For example, it seems to be pretty aggressive about resetting streaks when you make edits to habits (understandable, but the rules around this could be more clear). You edit a habit name, and it reorders it. Sometimes things don’t get saved. Sometimes they get reordered at seemingly unpredictable times. And worse, I’ve only just fully set up a bunch of habits, and all of a sudden my Today shows up blank, rendering the app useless because I can’t actually see or complete the habits I spent so much time setting up. It worked well when it was working, but I am less than a month into using Productive and now it’s broken. Update: Rebooting my iOS device seemed to fix the issue so I just raised my original rating to 4. I also had noticed another app having issues (Alarmy wasn’t showing an alarm going off), so I’m tentatively chalking at least the major issue above to an iOS problem and not a Productive one. Will report back if other issues persist or not.

developers please read!. after testing extensively over several hours other habit tracking apps I found this one to be the most fully featured in terms of statistics and things like an in app timer. The widgets are clean and good enough, there is a more section, and the ability to pause habits. However there are some major shortcomings of this app that has been available for so long that I think would make it much better. 1. overflow timer - would be very appreciated. It’s very difficult to edit entries to show the time that was spent versus the time that was scheduled in the habit. also, it doesn’t show the edited time in the statistics after the fact. I would love to be able to set the timer to start for example minutes read and if my time exceeds what was scheduled it would automatically update and show in statistics. 2. bad habits -there is no proprietary bad habit set up in the app as of now. It’s easy enough to mark don’t smoke as completed if you don’t smoke for that day. But what if it is some thing like cut back smoking and you want to mark every time you have a cigarette so that that data is available in statistics and so that if you are trying to cut down from 10 cigarettes a day you can see when you only had nine and passed your habit but also when you only had three and did even better-even so when you failed the habit and had 11 but when you also failed the habit and had 20. thanks guys!

The Limit. Wow whoever created this app deserves a high five. This app is exactly what I needed my entire life. I always can get distracted so this was perfect. Any app can get a five star rating from a satisfied costumer but, there’s always one flaw. This app is amazing but my one complaint is the limit. You are only allowed a certain amount of habits and that makes sense but it’s too low for me. I only had like 5 things on my list but then it said I reached the limit? It makes sense to me that if you want unlimited habits you have to pay for premium but if you guys are going to set a limit on habits don’t make it 5. If you could change it to like maybe 10 that would be amazing 😉. I get it if you don’t have premium on this app you won’t make 💰 but can you just boost up the habit limit that would be phenomenal! I love this app so much and I’m not talking bad about the creator. Thank you so much to who ever made this app! Thank you! - very satisfied customer (except for the limit part)

Great app but.. Always a catch. The app is really good and I like the concept. Except i can barely use it. I can’t put more than two habits in and there’s a constant ad/reminder for their subscription which is frustrating. Then on top of that there is no option for a one time fee altogether. I understand people have to make income off the app but it shouldn’t be listed as free since in order to use it to be productive you have to pay money. It’s really disappointing but hopefully I find a better app with a similar concept. Update: I only ended up downloading this app because this is the first app advertised and I liked the color scheme. The reply they gave was generic and seem to place the blame on the consumer versus taking responsibility like they do with positive reviews. The app along with the price is simply just a waste of time. There is other apps with the same concept that does more which are free or offer a reasonable one time purchase which will save money. Please look elsewhere because this will increase and encourage other apps with basic use to add subscriptions.

Pretty Great BUT could be SUPER. This is my first time ever writing a review for anything... so... that’s says something. This app is good but to blow every other app out the water there should be where you can set a location and then a timer to when to do a task when you arrive at the location. For example 30 minutes after I get home a remind would go off to tell me I need to do something. Also it would be really cool if there was where you can set a timer and in the timer it has breaks, for example you work for 30 minutes relax for 30 and then work for 30 that would be really great instead of making multiple timers or resetting it. Another idea would be if you can put reminders after one another, for example once you do one task another task would pop up for you to do next and would make it even better if it starts blank minutes after you get to a location.

Disappointing, not intuitive enough, 7-day trail offer beware!. Wanted to use the FREE 7 day trial to play around in this APP to see if it was the right fit. I ran into limited functions within the first five minutes. To use what felt like basic functions I was prompted to upgrade. I thought I was upgrading what I would be billed after the FREE to trial. That if I didn’t like what I experienced in the first 7 days, I could cancel. That’s what a FREE trial is. I wasn’t happy with the limited functions so I unlocked more. (What I needed to do was so basic. Set a reminder twice a day for one thing I needed to remember to do daily.) I was showing my teenager the functions and he laughed and said he couldn’t believe I paid for it. I was showing him because if he liked what he saw in the TRIAL on my phone, I was going to get it for him too. I decided in the same day I downloaded it, it wasn’t for me. It was too complicated, not intuitive enough. I went to cancel the trial and I was already billed for a full year! I stopped my subscription but it won’t end until JULY 3, 2020! My FREE trial started July 3, 2019. AND ON THE SAME DAY I’M BILLED FOR A FULL YEAR. No refund. It really makes me mad. It’s not right. Beware of the “free trial.”

It’s fine. But annoying.. The entire app is set up to be some silly competition with yourself. I just need something to keep track of the things I want to try and hit in a day — I’m not trying to guilt trip myself because my “streak is broken.” There doesn’t seem to be a way to turn this off, which is absurd. So it’s a great interface and user-friendly that way, but if you’re not interested in feeling bad about yourself every day when it brow-beats you for not completing your “habits,” I’d look elsewhere. ETA: I was feeling pretty cranky when I tapped this review out, but as my year subscription comes to an end, I still won’t be renewing. I appreciate the response that some things can be turned off, but respectfully — most of them can’t be. And the edits that are offered often don’t work. Trying to update days that you’d like existing habits to appear on your list is hit or miss (usually miss — it doesn’t stick. I end up having to delete habits entirely and enter them anew to make any changes at all). The orientation of the app is toward creating new daily habits and competing with yourself. If that’s your thing, do it up. But if the developers want this to be for a wider audience, then group all of those notifications into a “challenge” interface, and give the rest of us an option to turn it off. I’d love this to be a task-tracker without the game aspect, but it isn’t.

Free version is unusable. This app bills itself as a free app with optional in-app purchases, but that’s a complete misrepresentation. The app is almost unusable without a subscription. It’s a complete money grab. Literally every time you navigate away from it or change screens, it directs you to pay for a subscription. The subscription page that pops up every five seconds is set up in a misleading way that indicates a “free trial” (that auto-subscribes you for a full year’s price) is the only option to continue using the app for free. You can X out of the subscription page in the top left corner without agreeing to the trial, but people who aren’t tech literate won’t realize that. I downloaded the app because my mother wanted to use it but couldn’t get it to work. As soon as I saw the subscription page, I asked my mother if she’d known she could skip it without starting a trial, and she told me no, she’d hit the obvious yellow button that said “free trial” instead. I helped her cancel her subscription and delete the app. There are much more functional free productivity apps out there that run on ads without tricking people into thinking they need a recurring subscription to use them.

I LOVE IT. This app is great! Unlike other apps all you have to do is set some goals and check them out once you do it! I thought it would take time out of my day but it makes it so easy to use on a daily basis, and it has challenges you can even do everyday of the week! And the app keeps me motivated to keep pushing those bad habits away. You can also choose if you want to try a pro version of the app which is where you have to pay but get more features on the app. But they also let you use it free which is awesome because some other apps like this only let you use it if you pay money, but this lets you both I would really recommend this app for helping you lose, gain, or just keep the same weight. There are some features that you can’t use unless you do premium but like I have already said it still works great😊 - Merry Christmas and a Happy New year 🥳 🎄

Awesome!. I love this app for tracking habits. The premium version is well worth the price, especially if you consider the cost per month of the annual option. I’ve been trying to start a bullet journal, but have struggled with motivating myself to go through and physically set up the format myself to track each habit, with this app it does all the work for me and has a nice design. I wish there was a little bit more flexibility with scheduling monthly habits, like if you could pick an exact day of the month when something needs to be done, or the number of times per month you’d want to do something, similar to the layout when setting weekly goals. Another feature I’d like to see is the ability to “overachieve” on a goal. Like if I set my gym goal as a minimum of 3 times a week, it would be nice to be able to mark it done if I go a fourth time in order to track progress and help reevaluate goals later on. I’d especially like it if this was a feature able to be turned on or off depending on each habit. Overall this is a great and easy to use app that helps me stay motivated and productive.

Really good but could be better. I’ve been using this app over the Summer and even paid to unlock more habits and let me say it is very useful. The look of the app is perfect, the amount of icons are great, and it helps me get things done throughout the day. But the reason I give it a 3/5 is because I think there’s still plenty of room for improvement. One thing that I think would improve the app experience A LOT is the addition of a fourth option to repeat both a habit or one time task, WHENEVER. This would actually be amazing, to have the choice to not have to do a habit daily, weekly, or monthly, but just whenever you want. I’d like to be able to log some habits whenever I’d like to, without them affecting my streak, and still be able to track how often I do said habit. And I’d like to be able to do some tasks whenever I choose. Either way the app is still pretty good👍

Works well, but.... I like how this app is set up and what you can do with it. It is really good for keeping track of the things that I need to do. However, it is clear to me that this app really isn’t free. In the free version, you can set 5 habits, which doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what I need to keep track of on a daily basis. maybe of all i wanted to do was remind myself to go to the gym every day, it would be usable, but then you could just use one of the free apps that comes on the iphone. I understand that the developers want to make money, but the subscription pricing model is a big turn-off for be and i assume based on other reviews many other people. The price is really not that expensive, but personally i would rather have ads than have to pay $30 a year for an app that really does not do anything particularly interesting or unique. It’s nice to have, but for me, it’s not worth having to pay a per year price indefinitely when i could do exactly the same things, mind you less conveniently, with a free service like google calendar. So maybe if this app had a one time payment or ads i would use it, but currently, i am not prepared to spend 30 dollars a year so that i can be reminded to go to the gym.

Great improvements but still 1 feature missing. Noticed great improvements in the app in this last download since i last used it last year. But I’m still missing a major feature which is to have the app sync its data across to my iPad. I use it on my iPhone but would love to see my habits in my iPad as i tend to use it more during the day than my phone.

Excellent. Tried it out for a bit then got the yearly subscription. This app is perfect for me. Thank you so much. The app is worth the price ($28 AUD for a year). And there’s nothing wrong with the free version in my opinion. Although id suggest to give the option to free users when they download the app to choose between “unlimited for free for a limited time” or “limited features for free for an unlimited time” as no one seems to agree which is best.

Really good app but…. This is a really good app and I’m only here because it said want a warm fuzzy feeling from making someone’s day so I press sure and it took me here to rate the app this is a great app with no ads and great features but do you know what would make my day “productivity” GIVING ME A FREE SUBSCRIPTION FOR CHRISTMAS lol but yeah I highly recommend this app.

Disappointing. I cannot convey how excited I was to try this app - the interface looked sleek and elegant and reviews were mostly good, with only a couple of people complaining about pop-ups and limited features in the free version. "How bad could it possibly be?" I asked myself and gave it a go anyway. At first glance it seemed amazing. It had everything I had been looking for in a habit tracker and, although advertisements did occasionally pop up, I didn't pay too much attention to it. That was until I got one notification in particular, however; "Upgrade to unlock unlimited habits." I understand the aim of making such an app with in-app purchases is to make a profit, but this is unbelievable. Limiting a habit tracking app to only five habits? Ridiculous. And, as much as I love the small snippet I've gotten, I refuse to pay nearly thirty dollars for an annual subscription. If you don't intend on coughing up for the subscription, I recommend that you give this extremely-restricted free version of an amazing app a pass.

Have no skepticism. Costly for its simplicity, worth it for its brilliance. The UI is flawless, the tools are intuitive and the support (as far as I can tell through the in app support and developer’s response to reviews), is magnificent. In my 10 years on the app store I’ve written less than five reviews, these guys deserve it. The subscription model still irks me slightly; if only there was an outright price option available as well as a trial mode. However; if the devs are able to continually support the application, add more features and make use of their monthly source of income, they will continue to upheave my support financially and critically.

Pretty good. This app is pretty good, it has helped me become more on top of my day, especially during quarantine. However I do have some issues, every time I access it a ad comes up for their premium program, this also happens when I am on the app for a certain amount of time, I know it is marketing but honestly it has made me not want to get the premium, it also doesn’t give you much guidance on what reminders you can set yourself other than the icons. Overall the positives do outway the negitves, would recommend.

Game changer ‘HABIT’ App. I rate it a 10/10. This app. has been a massive positive ‘game’ changer in my daily life. Within a day of trialling the app. I subscribed to it for the year. Already I see it being with me for years to come. Thank you App. Developers for not pricing the app. out of reach for those on a very limited income. I need a lot of reminders throughout my day and having them in my calendar was clogging up an already full calendar. I searched for a suitable app. for ages but I couldn’t find anything. Then this app. was recommended to me. WOW, it is the perfect app. in every way. 1. Easy to download & set up, even for a non techie person like myself. 2. I love that I can create my own habits, I use this a lot. 3. SO EASY TO USE, yes I am being honest. 4. You can see all your progress and goals achieved. 5. Many many many more features that are incredibly useful. At least trial the app., however, I am sure you will end up subscribing to the app. because you will find out how great it is.

Automatic subscription ruined my experience. At first, this app seemed great. An easy way to keep track of my daily chores. I was a bit put off by not being able to purchase the app outright and being forced to choose a subscription. However the last straw came when the 1-week trial ended and I woke up to a charge for a 1-YEAR subscription that happened automatically. This is not a good way to build customer relations and now I am stuck with a 1-year membership to an app I was trialing. I am hoping I can get my money back and cancel this membership but it doesn’t seem possible

Very useful!. I had been using bullet journals and to-do lists, but the one thing that simple checklists don't accommodate for is a daily, or weekly habit - it would seem silly to rewrite the same thing every day, and ticking it off every day would not be very satisfying if it just came back again the next day. Productive allows for day-to-day, as well as weekly habits, and is easy to understand and use. Very good!

I think this will work for me. I downloaded this app today, and I’m finding it easy to use, and flexible too. I’m not happy with the subscription, I’d rather buy it outright, but that said, I’m assuming that the subscription includes access to ongoing updates and improvements. Eventually I expect that most apps will be by subscription, because constant updates and monitoring costs the developer money, they need to be paid for their services, and it’s good to have an app that continues to improve. We users can’t expect to get updates for free forever. At first glance, and after selecting my habit ritual, I think this app will work for me. I’ve uploaded the app to my ipad, and I’ll be having a look to see if I can sync with my iPhone and iMac.

Refund help. I’ve reached out to support over emails a couple of times but haven’t received any further support other than one initial email. I really enjoyed the app while I was using it, but ended up cancelling my subscription last year. In late June, I was charged for a subscription renewal, even though I cancelled the subscription last year. I would really appreciate assistance in receiving my refund this week, as I first reached out for support on 26/06. Thank you :)

Too few habits. I had previously used this app early in it’s life and it was a huge help while I was struggling to have a balanced and healthy lifestyle. With some ups and downs I thought I would return to this app to regain some balance. Unfortunately I have returned only to find that I am limited to having only 3 habits with the free version. I get the idea of the premium service but having nearly everything stripped away from what I once used daily has left a bitter feeling. Will try my luck with the good ol’ pen and paper planning.

Guess who’s more productive now?. My life is a mess, depression hits me like a train but this app actually helps my existence to be much more organised and less stressed. Sometimes I would get carried away and forget this app exists, but that’s okay because I comeback to it and get stuff on the right track again. I wish it had a task list with non-repeatable things as well.

Terrible interface design. Canceled after 7 days. This app just didn’t work for me on my iPhone 6s, with the current iOS. It is pretty crazy how hard it was to just mark off when you have completed a goal or habit. The interface would mostly do everything except what I was trying to do. I’ve never experienced anything this badly designed on an iPhone app before. I’ve used a lot of different habit apps and none of them ever made it difficult to mark off a completed item. Sliding the item on your list to the right is supposed to bring up the numbers to select how many times you have completed the item. Trying to get this to work in reality was incredibly frustrating. It keeps going to the calendar, it was too easy to accidentally Skip the item and I was always having to undo...it would go to a different page...everything except let me mark it as completed!!!! There’s no option for challenges like Taking a break from alcohol to configure it to automatically mark the day as successful. This meant that every time I forgot or gave up trying to use the frustrating interface- I got a failure message and had to start again. Cancelled after trying to use for 7 days. I’m a developer with 17 years experience in interaction design. Can’t believe this passed any user testing. Appalling design.

iCloud sync broken, fixed, now broken again. The best habit app for my needs: It has a clean, beautiful interface and is functional and uncluttered with useful statistics. I‘ve used this on iPhone for a while and wished it would use iCloud to sync across devices. This update happened a little while ago and has made it so much easier to get the productivity benefits of this app! I was thrilled this week to see that the app now fills the entire iPad screen - it looks much better! I have an iPad Pro 12.9”, so there’s quite a bit of empty space that I think could be utilised to display more information on the one screen without having to go through menus, but it’s a great start. The next thing I’d like to see is the ability to add notes to days where I miss a habit, instead of only those days where I skip or complete one. I’m far more likely to want to add a note regarding a habit I missed. Update: new interface looks fresh and exciting! Love the new design work! Also a nice touch to give users options with the interface, as I suppose not everyone is always going to appreciate change. Options are good! Update 2: iCloud sync not working again; won’t sync between iPhone and iPad

Great app - spoilt by annoying change in recent update. UPDATE REVIEW AUGUST 2017 Recent change to this app where starting day of the week is set by region 'according to local custom' spoils this app for me. Not sure where developers got their idea that week starts on Sunday for Australia, as it is a secular country ... calendars generally have week starting on Monday and regardless, my preference is to set week starting on Monday. Surely it is an individual preference ...please re-enable purchaser's ability to set this function according to personal preference. Original review 1 year ago: So far find this app fits its purpose really well - downloaded a couple of others when looking for what this app does and when I used this one deleted the others. It is a really well designed app that has all the functionality I would want to achieve its purpose. Can't fault it - wish all apps worked so well. Worth paying the premium to get extended functionality

It’s great!. I’ve been using this app for a few days (free trial) and it feels like it was made for me. I’m a very visual person but bullet journals; post it notes or calendars stopped working a long time ago ago. Recently, due to depression , I felt the need to be more organized and productive and unfortunately Ive not been able to stay focused on the most simple things .. other apps can have all these reminder options or visual aids and etc however what I like about this one particularly is the fact we can: - allocate a certain amount of time for each habit - still tick it off as complete even without setting the timer (sometimes i forget to start a timer and by the time I’m done with a task I can just tick it off) - having a timer on while you’re doing specific things allows you to understand the amount of time you spend on that activity and makes you focus more on it than if you just had a reminder And after a few days you start planing what tasks to do first based on the time you need for them so you’ll get into routines without forcing yourself into stuff as it happens with planners. - the fact you can have sounds on and off while the timer is on is cute. I don’t feel the need to get sounds for meditation so far as there’s some sounds in the app already. Unfortunately I’m on the free trial and can’t afford it yet but I can’t wait to see the graphs and all my activity laid out like that. Also be able to have multiple habits laid out. Thank you!

Minor “not tell” In Description. I down loaded this because I’m Autistic with ADHD. Carefully read all the info, downloaded it, started adding info and after 3 entries all I kept getting was the “BUY FULL VERSION” pop up screen. The fact that NOWHERE on your why down load blurb does it say “unless you by the full version your limited to 3 entries TOTAL” meant I spent 20 minutes getting very frustrated, anxious and angry which instantly put me off buying a subscription. If you want to tap the lucrative Adult Autistics & ADHD market you really need to make what you can and can’t do in the free version very very clear because our brains don’t play fill in the blanks to figure out why it’s not working very well.

Solid app (with caveat). This is a great tracking app with clean interface and encouraging layout/wording. The reminders and settings are good and provide sufficient customisation with it being bogged down with too many details. (A tip for those looking to build good habits using this app: when you start using the app, don’t create all the habits at at once. It will play with your mind and make you feel as if you’ve already mastered all of them. There’s a psychology term for this but I forget what it’s called. Create new habits as you actually start to do them.) My caveat is that I get premium features without paying for a subscription; I bought the app way back when it was a one-time purchase and the developer is awesome enough not to make me pay again.

Great tool if you’re willing to be consistent. Started using it about a year ago and it’s a very solid tool for tracking and reminding. Only thing I’d say is you can’t set a reminder for say every second Monday, it has to be do within two weeks but hopefully they add that soon.

Really love this app. Have been using for a few weeks now at it has really got me thinking about my daily and weekly habits. The app is easy to use and the notifications keep me on track. One possible enhancement if possible please and that is to be able to add notes to the habit before I swipe them done. Like a weekly habit may require me remembering a little list of things to do with that habit, it would be good to document these. But otherwise good app

Amazing app. its very good, i dont know why but for some reason it really motivates me to get things done. just seeing the “12 day streak” under a task makes me not want to break that streak or seeing my productivity percentage makes me want to get higher the next day. only thing that i dislike is the restricted amount of tasks you can add without payment, i get it tho u gotta make ur money

No iCloud backup or sync, extremely buggy app, limited support. I’m extremely disappointed in this app. It has so much potential, but it’s been buggy and crashing from the very beginning. Support team hasn’t been helpful. MOST disappointing is that there’s no mention in the faq that iCloud backup is currently disabled (since they’re having problems with it), and therefore, you can’t save your data! I tried deleting and reinstalling the app hoping it would fix the crashes, and I lost months of data and dozens of customised habits I had setup. If you lose or have to change your phone, or if you delete the app, beware that your data isn’t saved in the cloud and you’ll be starting fresh! 😬😬 SUPER disappointing for such an expensive subscription. If iCloud back up (and syncing between devices) gets fixed I might consider changing my rating, but it’s still pretty buggy and laggy even without... Edit: so glad I just found other alternative apps at similar or better prices. “Daily planner” and “done” seem A LOT more user friendly. I’d been holding out waiting for the problems with this app to be fixed... but I’m now glad to be cancelling my subscription and be rid of this app :)

No such thing as free lunch.... Which is why for $3 a month eq you can get yourself some easy to read, well designed and useful tool like this to change your life! Like most people I am busy, time poor and tend to forget the little things that can make a big difference. It’s got a great widget and syncs across all my devices no drama, there’s no account or sign up so ZERO spam! It just works

CUTE APP!!!. I haven’t had it for too long but I love it so far the layout and everything from IPad to IPhone is really really smooth… I think the app could use a few more features especially for $50 something bucks a year but I don’t know what I would add so I can’t really complain,, I’ll be upgrading this Tuesday night to the updated version so hopefully all goes well… I’ll probably write another review about how the extended version is and if it’s worth it.. I think it should be good…. Love it <3

It's ok, polished but lacking detail. The UI is nice. The overall structure is nice. But almost every feature stops at 80% usefulness and just doesn't quite get over the line. If you have a habit that consists of several steps that don't need to be tracked on their own; you're out of luck. There is a description field, but you can't even put a new line in it, let alone bullet points. Ideally you would be able to add sub items with check boxes. If you have something that you only need to do monthly, you can only choose a specific day of the month. Ideally, you would be able to choose "monthly by the 14th" or "by the end of the month". There are quite a few more of these small limitations that add up to this app just not quite being truly useful.

Be sure to cancel if only exploring. So, I came across this app to see if it would be of any benefit for setting reminders for my routine. So, I did sign up to the PREMIUM trial as you had to in order to see the actual meat-and-potatoes. Fairs fair - I didn’t cancel in time, forgot and only noticed when the iTunes charge came up this morning. What I did see was that they charged for a WHOLE YEAR!! Not a month and not a week. That feature alone dragged it to one star, for what I would call just scummy. As far as the features; personally I didn’t get anything out of them and found them basic and essentially useless so your mileage may vary and it might be exactly what you’re looking for in which case that’s awesome.

Great habit tracker. Everything I need to start, work through and cement in new habits. I bought the yearly subscription and I can honestly say in the past I’ve spent more on paper diaries and stationary in a year and those don’t give you reminders! A little bit of feedback for the developers: I’ve seen in another habit tracker app that the level of difficulty to complete each task can be adjusted and with the adjustment it gives you more or less repetitions to create that new neural pathway. Eg. a very difficult habit takes more days of completing the habit for it to stick than a simple task does.

‘Productive’ honest review. Just to be clear, I think your app is very neat and at this point, an essential to all people who want to become something more, although I do think it would be better to lower the price to make it more affordable for whome have limited resource, also, marketing tip, instead of saying “60 per year” try saying 5 a month as they costumers will think more about the price rather than the time, if this response helped, please give me free premium access as I will be canceling my free trial soon 😉

Nice app interface. Very nice and tidy, intuitive to use. However one problem I have with the app comparing to the competitors is the tasks aren’t seamless, you can easily procrastinate and waste time in between tasks, the app fabulous does a better job at making sure you do everything in one go. I would still prefer productive for its affordable price and neat interface, but it lacks some elements to make it 5 out of 5, really hoping to see a change here, REALLY! Thanks for putting effort to develop this app, you guys are amazing : )

Just a few touches. I love the idea of the app and I immediately downloaded it. The app runs well, nothing wrong with it, just a few touches I would like to recommend. When I get the notification instead of it saying “you have a habit to complete” or whatever, maybe say “walk the dog” or “cook dinner” you know? And when I set a new habit, I would like to choose the time that I would like to be notified of the habit. For example, I can only walk my dog at 5-5:30pm, but I get notified of it at 3 or 6pm and eventually forget or say “oh I’ll do it tomorrow”. The app would be perfect for me if these were arranged. Thanks!

Great app - love the flexibility, icons, suggestions, focus on wellness, and all the colours. This app is fabulous!!!! It allows you the user to customise it around your wants and needs. Loads of flexibility and ability to personalise to suit your days, weeks or month. Awesome selection of icons and colourful choices for fonts etc. easy to pick out and see what you want each of your categories to look like - would be fabulous if it could sinc with your calendar but honestly that is perhaps a good thing as this makes you think harder about things that are not ALL about your work day....for example I put in that I need to stretch and stand up every 30mins that I am working at the computer- this reminds me to do that and much more like drink 8 glasses of water, limit my caffeine, eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eat fruit and go for a walk through the day....as well as putting regular appointments or things like calling family a few times a eeek etc....really great app - can’t recommend enough (& no I haven’t been paid....although I wouldn’t mind, considering how many people I have told about it !!!!) 😉 go on do it....

It’s good but a little to hard on the habits. I’m enjoying using the app to set my day up and build up my systems. The heavy handness of the “paid” version was annoying and now 2 months along whenever I change up / down my habits from a time of day or frequency the stats reset, very very annoying. I enjoy vacation mode for when we go away but then I’d still like to be able to track a few habits that I could still do, might be best to have a few “plans” so there is full vacation and light vacation.

Best app I’ve downloaded. Was not in a good way and had downloaded this app previously but never signed up. I did just today and it’s refreshed my thought pattern and way of thinking. Definitely recommend. If they could make any update, it would be to maybe add a journal so some tasks can be completed within the app.

Great app I’ve used for a long time. This app is fantastic, as it helped me through a very rocky period in my life, by giving me some stability. I have gone on the suggest it to a lot of friends in hopes they have the same experience. I’ve been using this app for over 4 years and even though I may not get everything done or be the most “productive” person going around, it’s still a huge help in maintaining some pretty essential parts of my life.

Great if you have the money for it. I’ve looked far and wide for for scheduling and habit apps to help me keep on top of my everyday activities. I’d say that this was perfect for me because it dissects habits into time periods rather than a specific deadline. That said I can’t see the free version being useful with that 5 habit limit, and $30 a year is a hefty price. I’d encourage the developers to consider a monthly fee instead. It might encourage more users to try it rather than scaring them away with a $30 upfront cost. I know I would’ve tried it sooner if I knew I could cancel after a month if it wasn’t right for me

Great, but.... Great, however, as I am using the free version, I only have a limit of 5 habits. Weird, huh? The main purpose of the app is the keep your life organised. I know that the only way to get money from apps is too have some sort of payment, but if we could have unlimited habits and still have the choice to buy premium, I would give this app five stars. Otherwise, I would recommend this app to anyone of all ages!

Great potential. I downloaded this app to help me form and stick to my good habits. This does exactly that, if you pay. If you use the free version you can have up to 5 habits, which really isn’t enough if you’re wanting to actually benefit yourself. I can’t justify a $50+ annual fee just to make habit tracking convenient. All self help/motivation apps are subrcsiption based nowadays, I’d be happy for a one off payment but personally feel self help apps should be made to help people in need rather than to make a continuing profit.

So effective, beautiful and works very very well !!. I looked at lots of trackers and habit builders, yours is by far the best. The most functional and efficient to use as well as genuinely aesthetically pleasing. Well done and thank you. As I said truely outstanding and the best app by far in the habit tracking area. I use it to time manage a large amount of personal tasks as well as my habit building across my Apple Watch and iPhone. Very stable, robust and clean and highly functional.

Looks lovely but I need more.. I paid for the yearly pass as I believed it looked lovely and would be great to help with my daily habits that I am just not able to remember to do. I made my extensive list, including making my bed, taking my meds and some self care, like going for a walk or some yoga. I put times in for reminders, but, the reminders only go off if I have forgotten to do it for a few days, and then there is the whole remembering to go in to the app to actually tick off that I have done the habits... another habit I need to remember to do. I really want it to work, I really do. But it turns out the easy to use and look at interface just doesn’t cut it. I have found another (free) app that seems to help better but, I really would like productive to work as it works on my watch and looks much better than the other. The ability to adjust the reminder alarms would make this better (so you can sent it for a certain time each day to go off no matter what, and also have it remind you at intervals until you have ticked off you have done it) as well as allowing you to mark as done or snooze the reminder from the notification rather than having to open the app would be great too

Apple Watch complication doesn’t work! What was the point of paying for premium?. I have love this app at interface for years. However, after inputting multiple tasks a number of times over the years it has never really worked for me. Most recently, I wanted to use it and check things off on my Apple Watch only for it to not change at all. I then did it on my iPhone and things changed on both devices but don’t want to have to use my iPhone in the first place. The most disappointing part of this is that I upgraded to what was premium features back then only to find that since a new developer took over they want subscriptions and nothing works! Feels like a money grab as they have minimised any of the old previous premium features and gone onto subscription model. I can’t see how this would have happened under the original developer as he was very generous with his time and things didn’t cost a crazy amount. I would gladly change this for some support.

Good. One-0ff tasks option needed. Good app. The option to include things to be done less regularly than everyday while at the same time allowing the option to schedule things that are to be done multiple times on the same day is extremely useful. Would really appreciate a feature to include one-off tasks in the app. The tones available for reminder are also very limited. UPDATE: I purchased this app in early December 2016. I paid for all of the features. The monthly or annual subscription did not exist at that time. I simply paid a one-off fee. If I update the app, or the ios version, would I still have access to all the features or would I be switched to a subscription payment mode? If the latter is the case, I will cease using this.

Advertising is INTENSE. I only installed 30 mins ago, and I have had pop ups and screens telling me to subscribe approx 15 times already! Plus 2 pop ups telling me to install their alarm clock. Leave me alone & let me try it out first, guys! Looks pretty, although trying to change my walk goal between “i will do it” / “without timer” / “or during” either doesn’t work or is really unclear. I’d like to time as I walk - but I can’t select “or during”? Is that even what that means? Getting the feeling that it’s pretty but doesn’t deliver on functionality. I also clicked on “reasons to subscribe” and just got a promo page about how it’s half price. Still don’t know what I’d be paying for! They’re too busy asking for money to make sure it works and is easy to understand.

Pretty great. Nice interface, very easy to use. I love it! Exactly what I need. I bought this app when it was a one-off purchase. I see now it’s moved to a subscription model (which doesn’t impact me at all) but I am not sure it’s worth that price. I mean, it’s a pretty great app but for that much a year? I wouldn’t be purchasing it. Feature request: For habits with a duration goal, there should be a way to tick off a block of time without having to use the timer. The other day I thought I had hit start on the timer, read for an hour and then discovered that I hadn’t hit start properly. So then I had to run the timer while I did other things to make up for the time that I actually did. I would be better if you could manually input a session.

Amazing App!. Been using it since the beginning of the year. I like that it allows you to choose the frequency of the habit you want to accomplish, daily/weekly/monthly/etc. I also like the calendar streak feature to track your progress. Easy to use and great layout. I finally found a productivity app I can stick to.

Solid habit tracking app, but buggy. This is a good app - I’ve been using it for several months now to track and build upon my habits. I could never track habits in a journal just because a journal is not as accessible as my phone is, making this app very useful for habit tracking. The interface is a bit buggy, though. Many times, when I try to mark a habit as “done” by swiping it, the app glitches and swipes another habit instead. This is a bit annoying as you then have to figure out which habit was incorrectly swiped. This happens nearly every day unfortunately. I would also love more color and icon options for the habit labels. For example, the “MultiTimer” app uses icons by Icons8, which contains *heaps* of free ones. If these are addressed by developers I would consider upgrading my review to 5 stars :)

It looked amazing but... I thought this was going to be great to get my life more organised (especially towards school) it looked like it would be to my much needed rescue. (I even recommended it to my sister straight after adding the first task.) THEN I finished my third habit, went to add another one and it said “unlock premium for this feature” I was aware that there were limited habits but I was expecting at least ten. Also the price was ridiculous especially for a student who can afford to spend $34 for just unlimited habits when I could just go into my notes write what I wanted done and put a tick emoji next to it! Also be able to put reminders on everyday to complete the habit not just every few days when I haven’t done it. I really hope that you take this in to make it a better app.

Love it. This app is amazing! Not only does it help me get motivated but it helps me feel good about myself. I love how if you can’t pay for the annual fees (even though it is very cheap) you can still use the app. The little celebration once I have completed all my tasks is so cute and gets me excited to start a new day. I also love the fact that it has 7 day challenges that are more like fun activities rather than chores. 10/10 would recommend.

Happy and productive. I’ve only been using this for a couple of days but it’s actually working and pulling me out of a post-Christmas funk. As I get use to the new app just one technical thing I would recommend - when swiping left or right I’d prefer to click on the action I’d like to complete rather than it happening automatically as I keep skipping or completing accidentally as it happens automatically when you swipe. This is probably something that won’t be an issue when I get use to it but it’s not obvious how to undo at first either so a bit challenging as a new user. I’d also like to be able to categorise work or personal as well and focus on that. I also like how it told me I was maybe adding too much to my to do list - it knows 👌🏼 Other than that it’s easy to use and very straightforward and as I said so far it’s working.

Apple Watch integration failure. This is a fantastic app. Previously would have been a 5 without a doubt but unfortunately, it’s not integrated at all with my Apple Watch, which I got to minimise my distractions when crossing off my habits. None of my habits transfer across. All it does is provide notifications that I’ve habits to cross off. Which I can’t do without my phone. I’ve tried contacting support who were unable to give me a fix despite multiple attempts. I would love to be able to rate it a 5 again as soon as this is fixed but right now, I’m just disappointed.

love this app - but pls bring back the original monthly scheduler. I had the original balanced and productive apps back in 2014. one thing I missed about the way we could schedule monthly habits is when it didn’t ask you to do it on a specific day. can you guys bring back the old way, where we could just select “once/twice/3x (etc) every month” and select “at the beginning of the month,” “middle of the month,” “end of the month,” and “anytime in the month.” I would then rate this app 5/5 if that feature came back. other than that, it’s a great app. I’ve tried other habit trackers, but always find myself circling back to productive.

Better apps out there. This is a simple app. Great idea but there are better ones out there for half the price

Free version review. I love how the app looks but i cant pay for the subscription. In the free version, you get a maximum of 5 goals before it tells you to pay. You cant even create your own goals and have to use the ones it recommends.

Frustrated. Couldn’t even get on the app! So frustrated to know about this

Not worth it. You have to pay so much and there is better apps that do the same and are better

Most downloaded and deleted. You Can only add 2 habits for free. $31/yr I for this app is too much. No way. I like to track my goals...and one goal is to save my hard earned money.

Annoying. I downloaded this app to keep track of habits all to find out that unless I pay i can only put down about 4 habits, mind you habits that they come up with bc it costs extra to add in your own habits. App would be great if it weren’t for that tho…

9/10. Rly good but you have to pay if you want to add your own other than that 5 stars

Subscription. This new trend of requiring users to pay a recurring subscription fee has to stop.

Unable to restore purchase. Support team unable to help me on this issue. There is no restore purchase option, which they claim to be!

Une arnaque. Incapable d’en sortir et ne pas être chargé. J’ai écris et ils me répondent qu’ils ne peuvent pas arrêter les paiements. C’est vraiment une arnaque.

Forced into payment mode. This app makes you download the premium app, then cancel, then use the premium app for a week. This type of manipulation won’t stand, man.

Great but problem with the fee. It's a great app but I previously paid for the full version before there was a monthly subscription fee and now I can't continue to access those features anymore.

Follow. It doesn’t follow my devices , when I make changes I should be able to see the change in my iPad or phone , like you would in your calendar.

Unreliable. App keeps freezing up. I accidentally deleted the app and it completely wiped my entire routine did not save it I understand there is an account to sign up with however it didn't force me to or make me sign in prior to making my long habit list and I don't feel like doing it a second time.

Can’t cancel subscription. Did the trial, then without telling me and not letting me cancel charged me for full app. Wanted to cancel after 7 day trial but could not.

Great app but worth the $35 / year. If a lifetime membership could be purchased I would use this app is it is my favourite UI of all dat planners. However I am forced to switch to a competitor with a reasonable lifetime plan instead.

Matches my needs very well. I’ve been using Productive for a while now, on and off, whenever I need some extra motivation and habit control. The app is easy to navigate, stats are great, selection of predefined habits to choose from is great. Worth the money (contrary to many other apps I tried over the years).

Disapointed. I really enjoyed this app and considered buying the full version until I realized today that it had switch to monthly payment. I don't know what could justify this, as this is not an app with courses and interactive content, only one where you build yourself a to-do list. Although well done and with a pretty interface, I think I will look elsewhere for a cheaper alternative, as I do not have such money to spend on it. I am truly saddened since I genuinely love and enjoy this app.

Great app. Been using it on and off for some time now. Very simple and straightforward, helps eliminate clutter.

Sneaky. I trusted this seeing as it was recommended by apple. The app made me think I had to start a free trial to try it and then without asking, charged me forty bucks for the app. Now I’m stuck with an app I can’t afford. This app is supposed to help with self care but it only added more stress to my life by being sneaky and charging me money I don’t have. Bad practice.

SUPERBE APPLI. Une application dynamique, simple et très encourageante! Tout y est, que ce soit pour les listes, les projets ou pour prendre de bonnes habitudes! C’est coloré, visuel et elle me suit partout! Félicitations aux créateurs!! 😊👍🏼👍🏼

Pay for this. Simple app with a no free features not worth it. Check out habit bull.

Great App But…. This app really has a great UI. But the yearly subscription rate is too high for basic features like this. No advices from professionals, no meal analysis, no exercise suggestions, only swipe and track but with high price. I nearly paid for it but I found another one that has almost the same interface then I subscribe it with only 11$ per year. What a shame. Because it’s a monthly subscription that’s absolutely not an affordable price for the vast of us.

No free version. I downloaded this to track some habits and answered some questions and immediately was met with a paywall. It seems there is no way to use this app for free.

Amazing App. Really works well, allows me to schedule tasks further down the road as well. Only thing I wish it had was google calendar integration (like minimalist) where you could see your events pop up on your list if you wanted. Would be nice if I could mark off meetings as they come to get a better view of my day

The clunky interface ruins everything. I love the premise, and there are some really great things in this app. But the UI is horrible, I’m constantly having to undo actions because of misclicks, delete tasks because they’re in the wrong order, etc. Everything is horribly unintuitive. Some simple UI fixes would be 1. widen the swipe regions on the left and right sides of the screen, when navigating between Morning -> evening I’m constantly skipping tasks by mistake 2. Allow a reordering of tasks once created. Even simply swapping task ID’s on the backend would allow you to change positions of tasks.

Scammy it broken system. I was double billed by this company. I went ahead with the free 7 day trial to test it, at which point I was offered a promotional price of 24.99 for the first year. Like most professional apps, you’d think that this would then take the place of the 7 day trial and eliminate it as you’ve just purchased the year. Instead after the 7 days, I was billed the full 49.99.. So I paid twice for the same year. 24.99 and 49.99. Not sure if this is something they do hoping if enough people just don’t notice and rectify it they’ll pocket the money and it’s a handy little trick, or if they just don’t know how to run a business. If someone buys a year, you should not then bill them after a 7 day trial ultimately charging them TWICE for the same year of your service. Make it right.

Ad pops up to buy premium when I start the app. Really annoying closing the ad everytime when I start the app. Please remove this as I’m not interested in premium and I don’t want an ad everytime I open the app. Either price your app accordingly so I can afford it or give me the option to use it for free in peace. PLEASE.

They charge you without consent/signing up for the premium version. I downloaded the app as I wanted to start using a planner for doing my habit tracking. The app never signifies that it is a free trial, and after a couple days downloaded it charges you 59$ for a month (which is an absolutely ridiculous amount) and they never even communicate that you will be charged or that a trial has ended and that you will have to pay. Rip off and a scam, nothing to show that you will get charged. Requested a refund, I feel robbed :/

This is what I’ve been looking for. So far I tried a lot of different habit tracker apps, even notion and excel habit trackers. But they were a little bit complicated for me. Then I found out this app and it is so easy to use. They even have recommended habits. Loved it! Highly recommended!

I like this app but there’s one thing…. I enjoy that you can set a habit for “every two weeks” but there’s no habit to set it for “every month”. It has to be on a specific date in the month, like for example the 5th. There are some things I only want to do once a month but not on a specific date. If I could either specify: -“once a month on any day” and/or: -“the [first/second/third/fourth/last] week of every month” (so for example “any day during the third week of each month) and/or -“the [first, second, third, fourth, last] [insert day of the week] of every month” (so for example “the second Friday of every month) that would make this app even better! I hope you’ll consider for a future update.

Annoying bug. If you set a timer, the app will make a sound when the time is up, regardless of your phone settings. Emailed support with no response.

Amelia. It is so organized

This is really frustrating. The app wouldn’t let me pick a habit it kept on saying pay 49 dollars a year to unlock this habit! But all the habits would say that and I wouldn’t be able to do any habits

Add ability to break bad habits. Other habit tracking apps such as Habitify and Streaks have the ability to add habits that you want to break please add this feature and the apps will be a masterpiece

Productive & Elegant. It's like a stop light. It tells you went to stop, wait, and go. 🚦

!!!! Can’t cancel the app!!!. There is no option to cancel the free trial. You will be charged the full price!!!

Overall good, one thing missing. I like the app and recommend it.

Love this app but. . .. I’m not a fan of the dark mode. They use to have an option to choose between a light or dark version. Also I find it annoying that it tells me my task milestone. I don’t care if I’ve completed 50 tasks. I wish I could suppress those.

Could have been the perfect solution. Absolutely ridiculous that this is a subscription based service. I would have, without question, payed for the premium version if it was a one time fee. Extremely disappointed.

Signin. What’s with the constant sign in?

Refund please???. The app charged me a full year of subscription (30$) that i won’t used and never agreed to pay in the first place!! How can i get a refund for an app?

Dishonest payment practice. My experience is in order to try the app, you have to agree to paying for it after the trail has ended. Upon agreeing, you can then download the app. After that, your credit card gets charged when trial is over and there’s no way to stop it. The process to get a refund is difficult so I decided to try using the product with it premium features. I added a new habit then wanted to add a new one. It kept going in a loop and would not take me back to the main screen to do so. The only way to get back is to delete the new habit so what’s the point of this app? Poorly engineered which is also reflected in the help(less) section. Very disappointed. By the way, my card was charged $35.02

why is a productivity app trying to discourage me?. the app itself is fine, does the job. but i don’t like how if i have an off day and miss some of my habits, the app will immediately send me a pop-up suggesting that i give up on some of my habits. even if a have a whole week of good days, after one off day it’ll forget my successes and focus on the failure. really poor design, in my opinion.

Outstanding. Productive is more then just a friendly reminder. This app encourages you to do more in your day. Setting up goals takes a few seconds and as you finish your goals it’s easy to realize how little time ever task you didn’t want to (and want to) do takes. You’ll spend maybe an hour on small tasks and free up your day in a beautiful way. The best way to think of Productive is a life manager. People usually just do what their told and Productive helps with that, because once you’ve setup everything you don’t really need to think. You just do what it reminds you.

Misinformation. Giving one star because the app description doesn’t state the in-app purchase. This is not a 100% free app! I wouldn’t download it if you’ve stated in the description like other apps do.

Cool. Useful, but limited when premium not purchased.

Amaziiiing!. Wow! This app has changed my life! I feel much better nowadays! Keep up the great work!🥰😇

Latest Update a Total Mess. Latest update has put 1/2 of my habits on pause and will not let me resume them.

Impressive. I honestly really enjoy this app! I’ve been able to keep up my daily habits much more frequently. I’ve tried other habit trackers in the past and it just wasn’t as effective. I this app has various options. The scheduling really helps, as well as he option to boost one particular habit. I’ve made noticeable growth in my yoga practice and haven’t stopped since (: This app has really helped me to put my habits into practice. I throughly enjoy it. I even bought the premium version. And I NEVER buy apps. But I’m glad I made he small investment. My only thing is, I wish maybe it was more informative. I think it’s a wonderful app. But sections on science behind habits would be awesome, or studies concerning habits and providing that to the public, maybe the premium users. I think it’s wonderful, but it’s definitely missing something (: The stats are nice but I barely ever use them.

Pricy & highly limited.... I could really use extra help remembering everything when I have a daily list of a million and one things to do but at the cost per year on top of my living expenses, I just couldn't see this being any better than a reminder on my phone thats not costing me a subscription every month/year. I would have gave a better rating if I had any chance at using it without so many limitations. I'd rather deal with ads for the free version than to be limited as much as the free version sits now. It seems reasonable for the price unless you do more work than what you actually are paid for and let's face it, that's the reality of working class America. Not cost effective or considerate of supporting the lower class efforts in succeeding much like the rest of the tax free high class. Smart people work towards cutting out the unnecessary cost in order to get ahead and while the idea of this app is nice, it's not bringing any competition to it's competitors let alone effectively supporting the very market it's looking to attract.

Does what it advertises. Day 1 review of 7 day free trial. I like the thematic categorizations of habits. For instance, the “Must Have Habits” and “Morning Habits” sections of the create a habit menu contained several of the things I wanted to remind myself about throughout my day, such as drinking water and motivating myself to floss. I was surprised to see other sections for productivity, self care, and finance. It was very convenient to be able to browse through each of these things and find habits that would make my life better if I did them regularly. Each habit having a recommended setup made it that much easier for me to complete the set-up process for the app. I SO enjoyed not having to manually type in names for each habit and dates/times, as I have on other apps.

Lacking simple features. Reply to developer: Thank you for your reply to my review. However, I will not pay for a basic feature that most other apps give you for free. I have already deleted your app and replaced it with one that does pretty much everything your does and more without making me pay. I’m all for supporting developers, I know how much work goes into it, however I just can’t get behind it when it’s making people pay for something so basic that every other app on the market like it lets you do it for free. If this one thing were changed, I’d give a much better rating and even redownload it to give it another try. As it is now, I can recommend. I really wanted to love this app but you can’t choose a specific time to do your habit or task. You can not tell it to remind you at 1:00pm, for example. You can only say remind me morning, noon or night. Useless as a reminder app of it can’t do something as remind me at specific times.

Fix the app please. I’ve only recently started fully using the app since I payed for the subscription long ago. And I’ve got to say it has helped me set a strong foundation for habits that I hadn’t been able establish to before. Let me clarify; the practical aspect (if applied correctly) of the app is wonderful, I am currently developing my habits like never before and I am confident I can do anything with good habits. The problem is in the app itself and all the bugs. The app freezes every time I edit a note. I have lost my streak a couple of times because one of the habits don’t appear even though they are not paused nor stopped, and then re-appear a couple days later with my lost streak :( Also, editing the time of day the habit is performed, or the frequency of the habit, is subject to clearing your whoooooole progress, which is unfair because some habits need tweaking as time goes by. It would be nice if the app got a new look, as well as having a little tab somewhere in the app that can provide valuable resources for users such as articles that inform how to establish and develop habits, maybe some habit book recommendations (*ahem* Charles Duhigg), anything that helps people maintain their habits as it would inspire more people to use your app more frequently. Just my two cents Otherwise, good app for keeping accountability!

The Best Habit App (for me, personally). I I have tried a great many habit-tracking / goal-reaching apps in an effort to inject some accountability into my journey towards being a more productive person. But like New Years resolutions and the friends you made in High School, they all kind of fall away after the honeymoon period of “Wow, look how much work I’m putting into myself, yay me” wears off. This app is, for me, not like that. I’ve fallen off the bandwagon many times—for sure—but I always come back. Maybe it’s the icons and the minimalist-but-with-depth design philosophy, maybe it’s the way features keep being added (maybe it’s the infuriating choice to push a subscription model… Probably not that), but Productive is just eminently charming and friendly. It’s the perfect middle ground between overwhelmingly dense, all-in-one productivity/reminders/scheduling apps like ToDoist or Due and hyper open-ended checklist simulator apps like Clear or Bear. ‘Productivity - Habit Tracker’ makes me happy to start and maintain habits. (Disclaimer: none of this may apply to you; hacking your brain is a science of one—you do you! Find what works!)

Missing too many features. Love the concept of this app and would enjoy using it full time for all my habits but for $35 subscription it’s missing lots of features that are available on other apps. For starters, I should be able to measure water consumption in ounces. Only options are number of times, amount of time, pages, and miles. Why is there no integration with other apps? If it won’t sync number of hours slept, I’m supposed to check one app to update the other? It should be rather easy to create that integration, not trying to track my water intake on multiple apps. Why can’t I assign a time for an activity? Only options are morning, afternoon, evening. I can make alarms but it’s not the same as making it due at a certain time then being able to make an alarm 5, 10, or 15 mins before.

Used to be better before subscription greediness. I paid for the “pro” (or whatever it was called) upgrade of this app back when it first came out, and found it to be incredibly useful. Now, however, my “pro” purchase has been completely invalidated and I’m asked to pay $40/year to use it, despite the fact that I don’t find any of the “new” features that have been added to be useful: all I wanted was an app to remind me of daily tasks (separated into morning, evening and night tasks rather than demanding a specific time like a calendar app), and maybe keep a record of streaks. This app used to do just that, and it did it well. Now, it has a ton of additional features that I don’t want, and charges a subscription fee that is FAR too high for the features that I use. The “free” version (“free” in quotes because it constantly nags you to subscribe) limits you to a hilariously low 3 habits, which is basically useless.

Simple, motivating. This is a very well thought out app. I use it not only to help me with forming new habits, but to keep me focused on what I need to do in my normal everyday routine. I love how you only see what you need to accomplish in morning, afternoon, and evening. That alone helps me not to feel overwhelmed, which is a problem I have with the everyday mundane stuff I usually put off. I love how you can very simply change the order of your habits without inputting the the time they need to be done- I don't like the pressure of racing the clock for mundane stuff. And if you do need reminders, you have the option to create them for each habit. I love the robust options of how often you want to perform the habits- specific days, times per week or month, etc. Excellent! Completely worth paying for the upgrade! Money well spent.

Amazing for ADHD Adults. This is an absolutely miracle worker for someone with Adult ADD/ ADHD if you utilize the alarms and notifications correctly. I not only use it for the most basic of tasks in my daily routine (brush teeth, take meds/vitamins, make your bed) but I also use it to manage a schedule from hour to hour and add or take away things if my day is different from the last. By adding the most basic tasks, checking them as done gives you the drive and since of accomplishment to tackle your harder task in the day. And at the end of the day when you see that you have accomplished all that you set out to it give you the drive to try again tomorrow. I love this app bc it has given me the tools I need to have a functioning day without loosing track like I normally would.

My best recovery tool!. As a recovering drug addict I have always found it hard to crest good habits. Starting bad ones has never been an issue. My sponsor suggested that I make a master schedule for more day which was a great idea other than having it in my notebook which I don’t always have access to. This app has allowed me with great ability to input my entire day. Literally from waking up, work, step work, family time. Everything! And having the reminders along with the positive messages spread through the entirety of this app, is a wonderful moral boost. It also helps me check back regularly and I am able to keep up with each task so I know if I missed something and need to catch up. This app is a literal life saver for me. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to the entire development team that touched this app!!

Everything and more!. This is the best routine app I’ve used. It’s not to pushy, you aren’t given negative points if you miss a habit. You don’t start your streak all the way at zero. For me, I don’t even necessarily intend to go 7/7 each week, and given the option to skip when needed is awesome. My ONE complaint is that changing a habits frequency ruins the streak. For example, I have been trying to get better at Spanish I have a habit set for each morning. That’s all fine and well, but now that I’m really getting into it I would like to change it to twice a day, once at night and still once in the morning. But doing this would make me lose my 30+ day streak ): so I just created a second, identical habit, but I could see this getting messy if I find I want to increase other habit frequencies as well.

Clean, Simple, Effective with One Design Flaw. Productive is a simple app for building effective habits. It easily lets you create custom, repeating to do lists and track your completion. It was exactly what I was looking for without anything I did not want. My only complaint is that several months ago they added the feature to see what tasks are due tomorrow, but those tasks cannot be completed until tomorrow. While this makes some sense, the app has no problem letting you complete tasks after the day they were due. I like this feature and use it to catch up when I fall behind, but I hate that I can’t get even a day ahead when I know I have a busy stretch coming up. It’s almost as if the app is subtly designed to support you when you fall behind, which is great, but not encourage you to proactively avoid falling behind in the first place, which is unfortunate.

Really? Three free habits only?. I'd give this app 5 stars if only you could have at least a couple more habits for free. Now I have two separate apps for habit tracking: this and Google Calendar. At least Google Calendar's "Goals" is completely unlimited, but the thing is on that app I can't set these goals to remind me to do them on specific days. That's why I like this app. I also like this app because of the cute little icons you can put next to them and that you can assign a color for each of them. But this app would be more useful if I could put at least some more habit trackers here. If Google Calendar had the specific days feature, I'd only use that app. I was really excited about this app, and it could be a little more useful.

Pay for a subscription? $3.99. This a great app but instead of having a option of buying it like they used to have now you have to subscribe currently at $3.99 a month. This subscription trend is something we as consumers need not support. If you think you will just use the 5 reminders for free and not subscribe think again. The ads to subscribe are near ever present! Why not give consumers a way to buy it once for a higher price. It looks like they can raise the rate any old time they choose (fine print) meaning you will have to pay more or get a new app. Highly annoying for me as a consumer. It’s a good app. However the way they are forcing ads on you is annoying. DON’T SUPPORT THIS TREND. Please rate all these subscription type apps with one star and then just don’t buy them. If you support subscription apps soon that is all we will have. As consumers you have a voice. They won’t give you a choice later if they want to raise rates. This type of pricing is not consumer friendly and should not be supported by the marketplace.

SLIMY Company!!!!!. Downloaded the app and barely used it. Opened it up a couple weeks after downloading to find they upgraded us to premium for FREE. (I assume because of the whole coronavirus thing, probably not). NOTE: THIS PROMPT POPPED UP ON MY SCREEN AND I IN NO WAY CLICKED TO UPGRADE. I deleted it a couple days later because I realized I was getting better at keeping myself accountable without the app. I then deposit my paycheck yesterday, mind you shifts are hard to come by because of what’s going on in the world, and wake up this morning to find $30 missing from my bank account. I frantically open the App Store to check subscriptions to see if I’m paying for a different subscription I maybe forgot to cancel, to find this company opted me into a $30/month subscription sometime when I was notified of “FREE” premium. I am going to be emailing to try to get a refund but watch out, we’re in a digital age where if you aren’t vigilant 24/7 with this kind of stuff it can hit you big.

App Makers Have Lost Focus. I used to love, love, love this app. It had a gorgeous, simple design that was the epitome of iOS elegance. And it worked perfectly as a habit tracker. Now the app is completely bloated. Instead of just tracking whatever habits you choose, now it has pop-up animations that encourage you to build on your success by taking on more habits. It also suggests challenges for things like fitness and intermittent fasting, all in the service of getting you to take on more habits. And the last straw for me is it now recommends articles about habits, seemingly to get you to take on more habits. I don’t want any of these things, and I definitely don’t want an app that I use only to track very specific creativity and mental health habits to suggest that my real problem is that I’m not doing enough intermittent fasting! Instead of feeling good about tracking the things I want to accomplish, I feel the app now just reminds me that I’m not doing enough to “be better.” Instead of being self-directed, the app feels now like it has a perfect “me” in mind and will keep pushing me toward that hollow ideal. This app is supposed to help you stay focused and get things done, but now it’s just a distraction to me. I used to use this every day and now I don’t want to open it at all.

Great App, Terrible Updates. I’ve been using this app for years, and paid for premium back when it was a flat fee. I want to make it clear that the app itself has really helped me a lot with my ADHD and overall executive function, and the flat fee (not subscription) has been worth it. However the fact that the app is completely unusable (wont even open!) for like a week or more after each update is unreal. I figured out that this was the case years ago, so have consistently delayed updating for at least a few weeks after each update release on habit (ha). However, I accidentally updated a mere week after release this time....and now the app once again won’t even open for me. While forgivable for a fairly new product team, it’s crazy that this is still the case ~a week after an update years later. Why not roll back a version so we at least have something workable to use in the meantime? Also don’t release updates until they’ve been extensively verified and tested for bugs.

Good but annoying!. So here’s the deal - I tried the app for a week. I actually really liked it based on function and all that, and I would say it was successful in helping me complete the habits I was looking to complete and track. My issue is with the way overly persistent upgrade popups almost every time you click anything in the app, and that they went subscription based. Literally every 15 seconds of use in the app, you’ll see a full screen pop up asking you to upgrade. A)Way too much of our world has become subscription based! Its great for profits but it’s crap for consumers much of the time. I don’t need another leach with auto draft capabilities on my bank account. B)I don’t need syncing which means I don’t need to interact with servers, which is half a developer’s explanation for subscriptions usually. C)I’m happy to buy apps that are expensive even if it’s a one time purchase. I’ve even spent upwards of $50 and $100 on productivity apps in the past. But I got to use the version I bought for as long as I wanted - it wasn’t a recurring subscription. Unless it’s truly an ongoing service like Netflix or Apple Music, or Dropbox, I’m not willing to engage a subscription. So I like the app a lot, but won’t be using it and will look for others. And if I can’t find one, I’ll use paper or a spreadsheet on my phone.

Great app, minor gripe. This is a great app. Great UI, functionality, it’s all there. My only gripe is that the verbiage in this app is focused around GOOD habits, whereas some of my habits are BAD habits that I’m tracking if I actually engaged in that habit or had a craving for it. So if I look at the calendar, it tells me to strive for “perfect days” where all my habits were completed. Or if I look at future days, it’ll say “go for it” under the habit. I don’t want to go for that habit. I just need to track if I did it. Maybe this could be solved by a toggle when creating a habit if it is good or bad? The obvious solution would be to use a bad habit app or tracker or something but I don’t just use this app for bad habits, I use it for working out, taking medicine, stopping smoking, etc. Like I said, this app is great, I just have this small issue with it.

It was my go-to for years! Until.... I’ve had this app since 2016. It really helped me get back on my feet during a difficult time, so to me, it was a game changer. It was one of my most reliable apps, but alas it has one major flaw that made me look elsewhere for a habit tracker 4 years later. Recently I got an iPad and two Apple Watches, and the syncing between devices just wasn’t smooth at all. Sometimes it didn’t happen altogether. The iPad was left out most of the time, and when that happened, it usually ended in habits being duplicated on all the devices. It also took some effort to get it to sync when I switched watches in the morning - on the watch it would say “syncing” and nothing would happen until I messed with it on my iPhone. This process would take me 10+ minutes. Overall, this is a great app if you only use it on one device, but across several devices, some major bugs still need to be fixed.

Good and Bad. I have a love/hate relationship with his app. I’ve used it for years and it has helped me to build some great habits. When the app works, it’s the best tool out there. I’m not a fan of subscription models, but thankfully I got in early enough so that my premium purchase carried over, which is much appreciated. The problem is that this app often fails to work properly. Over the last few years of use, there have been numerous stretches where the notifications and reminders simply stop working after an update. A habit app that doesn’t remind you of your goals is simply useless. I have contacted the developer a few times with the same response: “we are aware and working on a fix.” I appreciate that, but when the same issues reappear constantly, there’s something wrong with the development process. I wish this app were better. I want it to be better. But sadly, it’s mediocre at best.

Small price to pay. If you want a habit and nothing else is working I highly recommend this app. I’ve read so many books on the psychology behind building habits and this app touches upon those same principles. Being able to make a streak is extremely rewarding and instead of doing something to achieve a reward you are competing against yourself. Being able to check something off as completed is very satisfying. The app really is best used in premium but if you’re serious about your goals then you can spare the cash. In my case, paying up the money is actually more motivating because I want to make sure I don’t waste it by ignoring my goals. Overall, great app. Wish you could go into more details as far as times a reminder happens but it’s a good investment in yourself.

Pomodoro Limitations. I wanted to love this app. It was everything I was looking for - a pomodoro with all the added features a girl with ADHD like me can appreciate. I spent a bunch of time creating schedules for work and school time (I both work and attend school from home). It was really cool to block out my whole day AND have the nifty extra challenges on offer. Then I quickly discover that the pomodoro will stop running whenever a notification pops up. Every. Single. Notification. Do you get a lot of notifications? You do?! Wow, me too! Having to pay attention to all of those notifications and then go on to the Productive app to restart my timer? Lol. Kinda defeats the purpose! I wrote the Productive team and got a stock ‘thanks for your feedback’ answer in return, indicating that there is no solution at this time. Really sorry I wasted money on an app that will actually limit my productivity. Womp womp.

Great but would like more functionality. I purchased this app to replace the apple reminders app, which failed completely after one of the iOS updates. While I am generally happy, I wish there was a way to set reminders for tasks that only need to be completed quarterly, such as replacing filters in water and air purifiers. I also have trouble with the one-time tasks. I’d like these tasks to stay active and visible until I complete them, but they are only visible on the day assigned. I forget about them if they don’t reappear everyday. I’ve found a work around—basically, just make the one-time habit a repeated habit that you set to once a month and delete it when you finally get around to it—but it would be nice to have a one-time habit that stays active until you complete it.

Please fix ASAP!. One of my favorite apps but it hasn’t opened in the last two days. Super frustrating considering I PAY for this app. Update: I would normally give 5 stars for this app, changed to 3 stars when it wouldn’t open for a week, and now I’m down to 1. When contacting customer support for assistance and asking for a refund for the days I was unable to use it, I received a snarky reply about how they wish they didn’t have to type out lengthy emails to customers like me. I do not think it’s unreasonable at all to request a refund for a service I pay for that is not working. If my cell service or Netflix was down for a week, I’d also be requesting a refund. I’m requesting a refund from Apple and will be finding a new habit tracking app. The entire purpose of tracking habits is to do it daily, so this app being down for a week (or more, who knows when they’ll actually get it fixed) completely defeats the purpose of its original intent.

The latest update breaks everything!. After the latest update, a lot of things doesn’t work. First, updating a habit will make you lose all the record for this habit. I updated my daily habit to 4 times a week, and then all previous record for this habit are gone, and leads to a broken steak. The last version of this app didn’t remove the previous record. Second, very ridiculous, the date is wrong. Tmr is shown as today. For example, today is 09/18 Wednesday, but the app shows today as 09/19 Thursday. This new version has soooo many bugs and I’m really done with it. I tried hard to keep my stripe, but now, after updating a habit, my steak is broken. I paid full year membership for this app. Can you just fix it and make my steak back?? Last but not the least, CAN YOU HIRE BETTER ENGINEER AND QA? I am a software Engineer, and I can’t even imagine how these obvious bugs were not caught before launch. I understand a small company has bias for action, so you may not have automation tests for GUI, but you guys must have QA right? How could they not catch the bugs? Also, IOS store takes at least two weeks to publish a new version of the app, so if there is anything that is broken on the GUI side, it’s really hard for you to fix in the short amount of time. Thinking about how large the customer impact will be, shouldn’t you be more careful? I’m just really upset about how unresponsible your engineers and QAs are.

I’m telling everyone.... Color/Emoji-code your own customizable, schedule-able, regenerating task list(s)!!! This app has helped me curb executive dysfunction and actually get a ton accomplished in a day... free version doesn’t give you much but paid is with every single penny. I no longer need to write lists OR KEEP REMEMBERING to write them or even remember what needs to go on the list. Just add more and more as I think of it. So so so helpful. Priceless as a freelancer who has to manage my time efficiently. I looked over many many similar apps... lots of pomp and excess and extra... overall this was clean/tidy, while allowing me to control and easy/visibly see what I have coming at me, morning, afternoon and evening! I can’t rave about this enough, please investigate further, see for yourself.

Gets you focused and then gets out of the way. I’ve been using Productive for 9 months and I start and end every day with it. Adding new tasks is fast and it’s easy to set and modify schedules as you go. The concept of “perfect days” has been especially motivating since it pushes me further. It may have been a long day and I might be tired but the app will tell me that if I just get the mail and clean up my kitchen it’ll be perfect, and so I do. I haven’t gotten behind on my chores in months anymore and I’m never at a loss for what needs doing. Besides chores, adding other activities like exercising or reading has helped motivate me to do those more often. This is a simple tracker but the essentials are very well polished, and it doesn’t feel weighted down with too many options. Super nice app overall!

Buy in to build up. “Buy in” to this app! It’s pretty sleek and simplifies my day and makes productivity more likely. If you’re like be, it’s easy to bite off more than yo can chew—this helps keep it manageable so you can go step by step. The daily habits feature keeps you from having to build a new schedule or to do list every morning—and the app has a supportive feel that gives positive input when you complete your tasks. Interface could be a little bit more open-concept, if I had my preference. I’m not a fan of the large hub on top—takes up too much of the screen, but that’s just preference. The more who use and rate, the better they can make it. Buy in to build up!

Good, but some issues. I like this app for what it is. I bought it fully a year ago and emailed some feedback which I think is important and easy to implement which still hasn’t seen its way through. I think that the ability to check something off every day even if you have met the “quota” for the week is important. For example if I have a goal to read 4x a week, I should still be able to at check it off 5-7x a week to reinforce my habit. Put in an option to have completed quotas greyed out at the bottom marking them as “done” but still doable. Also, the stream system needs to be fixed. If I make a habit today, then delete it, I cannot “finish” today. If I go back to yesterday and finish a weekly task and it eliminated it from today’s options, I cannot “finish” today. It ruins the streak. Ruins the whole reason of using the app.

Trap of an app. I downloaded the app and deleted within an hour of messing around with the limited free trial functions. To my surprise, a week later I was charged for an entire year of the premium subscription. The developer is clearly taking advantage of fine-print subscription terms and people who value their time (might be this apps exact target audience...coincidence? I don’t think so). If you fall for this “trap of an app” by making both the mistake of initially downloading it and forgetting to unsubscribe from automatic renewals before deleting, you will need to request a refund from Apple Support as developers don’t have control over account payments - how convenient for them. My request for a refund was denied immediately despite going to support the day of the charge. I also submitted an accidental subscription renewal, and have yet to hear back or see my money returned. Until I do, or if I don’t, I won’t be using and/or trialing apps from this developer moving forward.

Changing task loses all history. I like the app except for the fact that changing a task in any way will lose all history for that task AND not allow re-entry of that history. It would be much better to retain the history and simply restart the streak calculation from the date of the change. OR at least allow a user to re-enter the history. The app itself even suggests the user change their goals if not meeting them, which again would wipe out all history for that task. I consider this a ‘bug’ or poorly thought out function flaw. For now, be aware of this flaw and if you want to change a task goal while retaining history then create a new goal with a new name, still a pain because you will continue to see the old task entry on the reminders.... but at least you will be able to look at the calendar and still see what you have accomplished.

Helped me during tough times!. I signed up for Productive during the preparation period for my exams. I was not ready for them at all, and as a final-ditch effort, decided to get my life together and organize everything. This app has helped me study and prepare for the exams! I cut down on procrastinating, and increased my studying times, and all of this was already clockwork to me after 1 week of using the app. After the mid-term exams finished (which I passed with great results!), I set up the app to further help me organize my life, and I haven't felt better since! Every day is no longer a burden, and I get so much work and errands done that I have hours upon hours of free time every week now! Thank you so much!

Doesn’t sync with all devices, pricey. This is a decent little app. Nice layout and user friendly, however my biggest complaint is lack of syncing across devices. I spent a lot of time creating all my habits from my phone and being that I use my iPad heavily, I wanted to be able to also bring them up on my iPad. It’s not a bad app by any means but for the steep price you pay for such a simple habit tracker, I do expect more features and functionality packed in. In my honest opinion, this app is not worth the subscription. Maybe so if it was half the price, maybe.. if it was a one time purchase, then yes I’d consider it worth it. I’ll check in in the future for further updates as well as a review. You’ve got a great start, but please consider adding more or other features to make it feel worth the price. I can track any one of these things easily with other free apps that already have this built in to their suite of other features.

Loved Balanced, not a fan of subscription. I'm REALLY not a fan of the subscription model - I would rather pay for an app with unlimited habits and no ads. Right now, the adverts are incredibly annoying and actually ruins the experience of an otherwise lovely app, especially since I was such a huge fan of Balanced and IIRC even paid for that one to be advert-free for life. However, I actually prefer the way Productive splits the day into parts - one of the biggest issues I had with Balanced was that it made it impossible to organize tasks manually or by specific times of the day. Will work with this for a bit until the adverts start being too intrusive, then will delete unless there's an option to pay a one-time fee for this app. Just not worth the pop ups and ugly adverts to ruin the otherwise perfect minimalist aesthetic this tries so hard to maintain.

Good idea, buggy implementation, annoying “resets”. I downloaded the app earlier in January, and really liked it on my iPhone so I ended up buying the annual subscription to get the extra features. I really like how it keeps track of my habits and reminds me to do stuff, but I find it very inflexible in terms of changing your habits as you go (which I would think is a very valid use case). Say, for example, you start with do something x times a week; after a while, you may want to do that more frequently. The app lets you change that, but then seems to delete all the previous entries (with a non-so-specific prompt because it tells you it will “update the stats”, not that it will “delete the stats”), which is pretty infuriating. I would rather it resets the stats but keeps the entries if it cannot handle different stats for different periods of time (based on goal changes). Outside of the resetting-habits issue, there is another issue which makes it a bit more annoying to use: the app never syncs with my other devices (iPad) through iCloud, even though the setting is supposedly “on”, on both iPad and iPhone, tried to enable/disable a few times to no avail, and email support wasn’t that helpful in telling me to try things they have in the FAQ section which I’ve already tried before contacting them. Especially considering this is a paid app (can’t really think that most people can effectively use the free version), I would expect some higher quality there.

Used to be great. I loved this app. But, that was when it worked. Now, they constantly put out releases that break working features, e.g., only 1/3 of my listed items show up in the latest release. They seem to be more focused on improving the look-n-feel than on improving functionality, e.g., the app doesn’t sync data correctly via the cloud so the data on my iOS devices are usually out of sync. The only reason I’m giving them 3 stars is because this used to be an awesome product despite its shortcomings but the bugs they keep introducing are too frustrating. I’m now looking for an app that would sync across devices and that doesn’t destroy my data every time I make a change to a todo item, e.g., change from doing it 2 days/wk to 3 days/wk.

Has a lot of room for improvement. The app is good at what it says it does, but there are huge gaps to its functionalities. With a set of 3 daily habits, if you forget to mark one of them as Done (or Skipped), you can forget about timed reminders you have set up for any task the next day. Only if you complete a day do you get reminded the next day - that means the initial stages of building a habit are made harder by this app. That’s a bad approach. Saw last night’s notification this morning and used it to mark the task done for last night? Nope, you marked it done for tonight. EDIT: The point below is wrong, there is indeed a way to create a task that repeats every Sunday. The option for that is under “Daily” and not “Weekly”, which is why it was a little difficult to find. ~~If you wish to have a weekly task that needs to be done on a certain day, forget about it - no way to set up that sort of task on this app.~~

Really good!. This app is supppper helpful! There’s really only one thing I would change: when I’m doing one of my timed habits I like to know when it ends by putting on the white noise, but I also like to have my regular music on. However, the app (as far as I know) doesn’t have anyway to adjust the volume for the white noise and not for my music (in other apps I have seen them do that) which my brings me to my addition/ change for the app. I’d like to either be able to adjust the volume of the white noise (and, like I said, not the music) or to be able to put in your own music for it (I might have just not figured this out yet). But, overall, I would really recommend this app- it really helped me be more on top of things.

Used to be good app. Update(19-feb) : It’s been three weeks since the sorting habits is broken . After spending a long valuable time sorting the habits , it’s really unacceptable to see them go back to random order again . How long will it take it fix issues which were once working fine ? Original review : I am a paid member of the app for a few Months now and been a regular user . The app used to be simple and very useful , where you can create new habits and sort it with ease, I used as my reference to get an idea of how my day must be sequenced. . A recent update completely broke the sorting functionality and completely jumbled up all the habits that I had kept sorted until now . I contacted support and reported this . I got a response on how to fix it again . I spent 30 mins to sort all the habits manually once again as it was broken by the update. But once I went to another screen in the app and back , the sorting went away again and it’s all jumbled up again . This is Extremely careless of them especially for something people pay lots of money for. Another clear indicator of their carelessness is when you go read their version history - none of them describe what the actual changes in the new version is . They copy paste the same genetic description for every version . Updated: Tried twice more to reorder my habits , and it again went back to jumbled state . I have spent 1 hr so far just to sort the habits but giving up

Buggy, buggy, and oh yeah, BUGGY!!!. I downloaded this app and paid for a year subscription based on all the neat feature and thousands of positive reviews. After hours of setup and fine tuning of my habits I began to use it and thought it was pretty good. But then I tried to use the timer function for a habit. I had set the timer for a habit to 40 minutes and turned it on, and about m hour later I went in to check how much time was left since it felt like it had been too long. Turns out the timer doesn’t work it you leave the app or lock your phone. It just stops and then picks back up when you open the app again. I submitted feedback and was told they would consider adding the feature at some point. Why even bother in the first place guys? Then as I used the app more and more, I found my habits were starting to show up randomly as “Overdue,” even though ALL previous days habits were marked “Done,” or “Skipped.” So I reset the stats and started over. Then it happened again, and then again this morning. You can’t be productive, with Productive, because you will spend all your time trying to figure out why the app is behaving erratically. Year subscription? Guess I’ll chalk it up to a learning experience, delete the app and go back to Reminders, which is getting an overhaul in iOS 13 anyway. Enjoy the $30 guys, you won’t get another dime from me ever.

Best habit tracking app EVER‼️. This app was really good till the last update, now it’s INCREDIBLE. I’m in love with the new redesign. It’s so simple, yet so awesome looking. The all day, morning, afternoon, and night graphics are so mesmerizingly beautiful to me. I wanted a new redesign for awhile now too, so this is perfect. Redesigns aren’t always a good thing with apps, but this is without a doubt one of, if not the best redesign I’ve ever seen. So much so I had to write a review when I dislike doing them. Had to give you developers the props you so deserve. Love the redesign of the colors of the icons also, it’s a nice touch. I believe they’re different hues of the same color, it looks a billion times better than the original ones to me. They look really nice. It’s important an app you’re using many times a day to better yourself makes you want to keep going back (which obviously helps you in the case of this app). And this update certainly does that. Thanks for putting in the effort with this redesign guys, it definitely shows. Incredible job with it! One thing, If you guys could add more colors for the icons that would be a very nice addition. Also please keep up this awesome work, big fan ✊🏾.

Productive is Perfection. I am a list maker. I love checking things off. Problem is- I lose the list or the tech I’ve tried doesn’t remind me. This app is front and center with reminding me to get stuff done. It’s flexible with when and how I want to accomplish tasks. I love the “streak” part of the tracking. It helps me feel like I’m making progress even if I’m not perfect. Each task has its own “streak” as well as the whole day can be a streak if you do ALL of your tasks. I’ve finally accomplished things like- regular flossing, saying daily affirmations , and improving the quality of food I consume with this app. If you’re even thinking you may want help getting “self-care” or basic “oh I need to remember to water my plants 4 days a week,” just download it and start keeping plants alive!!!

Swindled into Paying $20 that is Apparently Non-Refundable. I downloaded the free trial of this app and while it’s got a nice principle function, there were some features the app was lacking, in my opinion. For that reason I didn’t want to purchase the app’s premium subscription. However, the developers did not make cancelling after the “free” trial easy to do. You have to cancel your subscription through a link that’s not easily found in the app, that takes you to the Apple support site and you have to cancel through that platform instead of within the app itself. If you do not cancel before the 7 day trial is up, you are automatically charged the premium subscription fee and that purchase cannot be canceled (ie no refund). Usually apps will refund the automatic charge if you cancel within a day or so of when the free trial ends. This was not the case, and I feel like I was swindled into paying $20 that is apparently non-refundable, which is extremely unsettling. Beware of this.

Updated review- meh. Updated: apparently I downloaded this app previously and liked it. I’m not sure what they changed since then, but it’s just way too much now. It’s hard to find things, it’s clunky and not what I wanted. I saw an ad for it and that’s why I downloaded it again, but it looked nothing like the ad so that was pretty frustrating. I’m still looking for a productivity app that will remind me of things I need to get done. This one wasn’t it. Old review: Love this app. It's exactly what I was looking for. I've tried other and they're too annoying for me. This one, I unlock my phone and there's a notification. Oh that's right, I needed to work out this afternoon. Not at a specific time, I just knew I needed to get a workout in. The app is great for reminders like that. It's not pushy, with specific times or deadlines, it's just there as a reminder. Been using it for a few days, and this is one I'll keep.

Helping my life. As someone who with ADD, a tool like this is super important. Building routines and habits gives me some effectiveness, and this app helps me do that. I would like to see these enhancements: 1. An “at a glance view” of the entire month where you can see all the habits you have scheduled. My therapist likes to see a summary of what I’m doing and when and I feel a quick zoom out of the entire month would help here. 2. The export feature is not working. I get some Json structure but it’s all blank. Would be fun to integrate the data on my own personal apps or other apps 3. Custom name tags assigned to the colors (like Trello has). An important use case for that would be assigning the different role categories to the habits you create. Roles of your life, for example “Husband, Father, Manager, Personal”. As explained in “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, categorizing your tasks this way helps make sure you keep appropriate balance in the different offices of your life. Sure you can keep track of that mentally by different colors. But naming those those colors gives nice explicit reinforcement. 4. More icons for the habits. (Current ones a great though)

Fantastic, but also lean and not flexible. I loved this app… still do I suppose. But it’s meant for a single device. You aren’t going to be swapping between your iPhone and iPad on this expecting to carry your habits around. I suppose it isn’t that big of a problem—just pick a device and use only it—but having the flexibility to use my iPad would have been great. This is a feature that appears to have been wanted for a long time now and the developers have given lovely replies, but no action. Over the long time I’ve owned this app (I’m a yearly subscriber), I never really took full advantage of it. It is lovely to look at and very simple, but perhaps too lean and no way to sync your data to the cloud or another device. I think I’ll start looking elsewhere for the price, but it is a great competitor.

Good design, terribly buggy.. This app could be phenomenal if it were more reliable. It's been months and they haven't fixed some of the most annoying bugs that come with it. Bug 1: on iPhone, launching the app results in it freezing on the home screen; to fix it, you have to force-quit and relaunch. This happens to me at *least* 50% of the time. And yes, I’m running the latest version. Bug 2: for some reason, the reminders duplicate themselves. If you have a habit with a daily reminder set to it, it will remind you *twice* at the assigned time. This is a relatively small bug, but super annoying after a while. Bug 3: on Apple Watch, the "due anytime" chiclet just doesn't work at all. Tapping on it doesn't take you to the "anytime" habits. As a software developer, I understand bug backlogs and have been patient about them fixing these issues, but it has been months and I'm now looking to transition to other habit tracking apps.

TERRIBLE REDESIGN - don’t install the new version if you haven’t!!!. I have used the premium version of the app for years & loved it. I always gave it 5 stars and it was a crucial part of my day. Prior to today, my only complaint was that the updates would randomly delete habits or reset to some I had years ago, but since had deleted. Frustrating, but a rare and manageable problem. Today I’m literally in tears because I’m so frustrated and hate the new update. Wasted space and inefficient - I want to be able to see my anytime habits on the same page with the time of day - I DON’T WANT OR NEED A PICTURE OF THE SUN’S POSITION IN THE SKY TAKING UP HALF THE SCREEN!!!!! I don’t want to swipe left and right a thousand times (while accidentally marking tasks as completed or skipped because it’s the same motion)!!! I’m hoping there’s a way to restore the previous version - It has become such an integral part of my routine, but I can’t and won’t use it with the new layout. I find it much more cumbersome & difficult to use. PLEASE ROLLBACK OR PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO REVERT TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION!!!!!!
