Photo & Video Metadata Remover App Reviews

Doesn’t work anymore. Used to be the best app for removing metadata but now it simply doesn’t work. Either crashes, or just pretend to “process” but in fact does nothing. Devs, please fix the bugs.

Bad. Removed longitude and latitude. Did NOT remove the EXACT GPS location of my home. Completely useless.

It doesn’t work for videos..... That needs to change

It WAS working great.. Recently stopped working. Select the photo I want to remove data from, it flashes “processing” for a sec and the shows me the most recent item in my camera roll. No new item with metadata removed is created. Please fix.

Five stars! Does exactly what I wanted. Great job by the developers. Simple and does precisely what it says. This app should be at the top on the utilities menu. Everyone needs to strip meta data before sharing photos now. You'd be shocked how much info you're giving people when you post or txt or email your pics. Apple Store editors: please feature this app. I literally had to search photography websites to figure out how to do this. You should be informing people that this free utility app exists so that people can safely share photos taken with iPhone and other smart devices.

Not Intuitive. Steep learning curve. Not new user friendly.

EASY to use and efficient!. This app is exactly what I needed and did it so easily. It removed all details from my images so I could send with people tracing my hidden secrets. It’s super fast and very easy to use!

Wow. Terrible!. Downloaded it and suddenly got flooded with ads and screen spam. Uninstalled it immediately. Total fail. #SAD

Hard to use, no explanation provided. Not sure how to add more photos after adding the first photo by sheer luck. There is no button to add new photos. Not good

Not for Apple iOS. Scroll all the way to the very bottom of the developer’s text description of the app, and you will read their admission that the app can only manipulate existing photos if they are JPEGS. Apple iOS and Mac devices automatically save newly snapped photos in the Apple proprietary HEIC file format, that contains less data per file without noticeable loss of image quality. Frack! Why is this app even ON the Apple store, when it cannot work with Apple images? Why do the developers bury this fact at the bottom of the app info where nobody will see it? Could it be because they are greedy cannibalistic reevers who want your shiny money at any cost?

App was fixed. All the issues stated by most reviews are either from 1-3 years ago, I just wanted to let you all know that the app does work as intended now and I use it all the time

Stopped working. I updated the app and now I can no longer select more photos from my photo library. I have it set to allow access to only the photos I choose, but the option to choose more photos has disappeared. The app is completely unusable now.

Outstanding App. I am just thrilled with the results of this metadata remover app. Most every metadata/EXIF editor I have ever used, always degrades my photo's quality when I edit and save a file. Miraculously, this editor doesn't! It leaves the quality untouched and the same as the original, I was blown away when I found this out. It also is the only editor I've come across that allows me to edit a PNG file's metadata. It seems to create a copy of the PNG files since Apple for some reason won't normally allow this type of editing to occur. So, because of all of these wonderful facts about this program, well, you have absolutely sold me on buying the Pro version of this title. I'm going to purchase it right after I post this actually. Many thanks for allowing all of this happen and thanks for the work and time that was no doubt put into building this wonderful application and God bless. iPad Air 2 (iOS 11.1.2)

Unusable. Over the top obnoxious video ads interrupt everything. Don't bother with this one.

Hard to select photos. Sometimes it is hard to get the photos to show which I have chosen in the Metadata app. If I keep working between the Metadata app and the Metadata Remover app, the photos for removing metadata may eventually show up to have metadata removed.

Left phantom data. Claimed to remove data, but the Places folder was still showing items it had supposedly cleared. (I deleted the originals, so it wasn't that.)

CHARGED $9.99 FOR A $3.99 APP. What kind of crap is this???

Doesn’t Work. I used this app a few times, but there is nothing to click to add new photos. There used to be a pop up when you first open the app that allows you to select photos to add, but it no longer pops up and there is no other way to select new photos for removing meta data. I wish I could give it zero stars. Poor POOR design.

Paid for premium and it stopped working. Paid for premium on this and suddenly the premium features stopped working and it wants me to buy it again. Complete scam.

Metadata doesn’t remove on videos from the iPhone XS. Seems to struggle with 4k content—shame it doesn’t work.

To Remove Private Meta Data, User Have To Share Private Data !! Careful With This App. This app collects private data, not good practice at all , but does not require subscription/payment for removing (almost) all meta data . Whats the point that to remove private data user have to give/share private data !!? dangerous policy by developers . no one beside God can protect private data safely.

Works but not for IG. This does remove metadata, but if you're downloading it hoping you can use it to post stories to Instagram older than 24 hours, it doesn't work for that.

It malfunctions a lot after some time. And I can’t add new pictures to the meta data app to remove the data… so it just takes up space on my phone 🫤

Didn’t remove GPS metadata on iPhone video. I’m not sure what happened, but I tried removing metadata twice with no effect: the GPS metadata remained intact.
