Unstable, crashes, has promise. I purchased this app to bulk edit/add GPS information that images imported from a DSLR. This seemed to be one of the few apps that can do bulk editing and addition of GPS data. It took me a little while to figure out how the app allows me to add GPS data - you have to create a scheme before adding the data and not during adding the data. There is no documentation, but hey ho, it's not rocket science. Problematic is the continuous crashing of the app. When I tried to add GPS data to 50+ photos, it crashed several times during the process. I left wondering where I have to re-start the process. The app crashes also regularly when browsing photo metadata. Overall it seems very unstable. Also, about batch editing: I have to confirm for each image whether or not the app is allowed to modify the photo. I am not sure whether this is an iOS restriction or a design flaw. There is promise in this app, but it seems to be currently in a beta state. iPad, 4th generation Up-to-date iOS 10.x (July 2017)

Allen’s. This is an awesome and very intuitive app. I’ve worked with meta-data and all kinds of mediums and this is the most thorough I’ve ever seen

Crashing Issue. App crashes when changing multiple photos and videos.

The creation date won't change.. It doesn't do what it's advertised to do. Plus, it rotates photos when you clear the metadata.

Good, not great yet. Overall a little better than other metadata apps. Still not what I need. I want to be able rename files. Also frustrating to batch change metadata and have all the new versions along side all originals. I don't want the originals and copies on my phone (and the trashcan vanished) Using this app disables other editing options in the photos. Bought it this afternoon and deleted it tonight. I'll try again later. There is potential. I'm hopeful.

Mistake to purchase. App crashes constantly, and can’t handle more than 10 images at a time. Unusable.

Metadata Pro. Works very well on photos as well as videos.

Does not work.. Waste of money. Couldn’t correct the dates and locations.

Fix or give me my money back!!. App describes in-app purchases will cost $1.99. Once app is downloaded, the price changes to $3.99! Then the app doesn’t even work! I have tried several ways and cleared all girls and still...the date and other information is still viewable. Fix this or I want a refund!!

dysfunctional UI. Purchased pro version only to later find out that one must quit/restart the program EVERY time you want to select a new group of photos...if you back out of the photo select menu, then there is no option to return and select new/different photos...frustrating & time consuming (!)

Disappointing. Purchased this for the sole purpose of correcting dates on my photos on my iPhone so I wouldn’t have to bother with doing it on my Mac. Unfortunately despite 4 attempts to change the date, the photo still hasn’t updated to reflect the change so I’m pretty sure this app is a dud. I only gave it two stars simply because it was interesting to be able to see all the metadata attached to a photo - but definitely not worth $2.99

GPS Data and others still stuck on photo. I was very surprised to find out that the app suddenly stopped working and that all of the meta-data was indeed intact no matter how many times I deleted it with this app. Very disappointed.

IOS 12 support. I do not know if it’s IOS 12 causing the problem, but after updating my software to the most recent IOS I am unable to change the location for my photos and videos.

Freakin' Awesome. After spending a day trying to figure out if iPhone / iPad videos have geotagging and how to view it, struggling and resisting the enigmatic ExifTool by Phil, reading about geotagging in the film stream versus one geotag in the file, arghhh, I bought this app out of shear frustration, not even knowing if it would destroy my originals or what. And it is absolutely perfect. I took a video of a chair. Opened the app, found the gps data and removed it. The app makes a copy of my video without the geotagging, stores it as a new file and creates an album where I can find all of my gps-free photos and videos. It works perfectly. I still don't understand if iOS cameras embed gps in the streaming data, but I do know that data is not easy to find if it exists. The knowable geotagging is wiped by this app - without touching your original. Peace of mind for now.

It worked. It works but not pretty and kinda confusing.

Needs Instructions!. Not at all intuitive and requires a lot of experimentation to get results. Not a single word of documentation is included with the app or on the developer website.

No Metadata added. Was mislead to believe app adds metadata to photos. It doesnt. Would get a refund if I can figure out how to do it.

App does not work. At first it appears to be working, I have tried to send several pictures and the original metadata ways gets sent no matter what I change on it. Do not trust this app

Doesn't work. App doesn't do advertised batch edits. App doesn't even edit or modify single images. Takes you through process but in reality nothing was modified.

App doesn't work, I want a refund. The date of my photos don't change in my photos app so what's the point? I want a refund.

Doesn’t work!. App crashes when you select "remove all metadata". Last version was better. More reliable. Now you go to edit any of the metadata and it says “one or more if the changes could not be edited”. Defeats the purpose. Per the developer response, where I was told to update the app to the latest version, and if problems persist to contact them at their support@platinum... Well, I do have the latest version, and the problem persists. This app isn’t as good as it once was, it was good once, as it ever was.

Doesn't work. I purchased the app to remove metadata for Instagram stories. The free version works but when I remove with the pro version it doesn't go through, and does not clear data. Why?!?

Does what I need it to do. This app is one of those things most folks will never need, but when you do, it is great.

Works. You need to open the app then select the photo in order to edit. It edit is you use the extension in Photos.

Right idea, not far enough. So far only tried with video files. Will display much metadata, but doesn't let me select the metadata I want to change. I can change a video create date but not the modify date. I'd like to tap on the field to change, but have to select the field from a list. Difficult to find those fields that apply to videos. This app is sooooo close, just those two things - change modify date and in-line editing - to modify video metadata would make this app rock.

Help. Everytime I try to change the creation date it doesn’t let me

Bought app to update photo date - fail. It doesn’t do it successfully. I will be reporting to Apple and asking for my money back.

From Bad to Worse. The app had its share of issues on iOS 10, but at least it still worked. Upgrading to iOS 11 effectively destroyed any remaining functionality. I bought it so I could remove GPS data in bulk. On iOS 10, “bulk” meant “about 7 or less”. More that 7 would crash. On iOS 11, after three attempts I was finally able remove GPS info from ONE picture. Attempting to strike while the iron was hot, I tried it again on another picture... and it crashed. Booooooo

Doesn’t work.. I’ve changed every date I can and the photo is still in the wrong order. I want my money back.

Scam!. Guys please don’t spend your money on this app. It’s a scam! It will not update your date/time on a picture! To be sure it didn’t work, I watched a YouTube video showing how to use it. They’re scamming for 3 dollars. Losers.

Doesn’t Work. In tried to change a creation date and a TIFF date to make the photos sort properly in IPAD Photos and it did not work. There is no embedded HELP a only a link to YOUTUBE with outdated videos. Really disappointed!

The most comprehensive iOS metadata editor I have found. Just got this and I am still playing around with it but I haven't seen any other apps that allow you to specifically choose and edit any of the the EXIF data fields that you want. In addition, it allows you to add fields of EXIF data that the original device does not populate.

Its wonderful. The app does exactly what it promises all i wanted was an app that can mass delete dates on photos so i can arrange my photos on my iPhone in the order that i would like them instead of them being arranged by date and this app did exactly what i needed it to do.

Unstable program when selecting multiple photos. I imported old photos back onto iCloud, now on my phone, and the original time stamps were lost. Found this program to edit the metadata so that the photos could be mass moved to an older date to keep my photos in chronological order. Works for single photo selection. If selecting multiple photos, the program spins its wheels or will process the first few and then error and force close.

Adding/changing GPS location not an option. The screenshots aren’t representative of what I’m seeing. I purchased this to add locations to my imported photos, but the button simply doesn’t show up as an option. App is worthless to me.

Informative/Must Have. This is an excellent app if you need to know the actual file size, and metadata information. A feature of great use to me is when viewing a pic I can send it to the camera app I use for trimming or alterations from the “Photos” app. There are many other features that are quite useful, and needed, all in all an Excellent Useful Tool that makes life easier. Most developers today run you through a convoluted exercise in hipsterdom, this developer does not, and Thank You for getting it. 😎😜😎

Date doesn’t change. I’ve edited the original, digitized, and time stamps and none of the edits stick. I’ve tried several photos and this is the case each time. Very disappointed.

Only one to edit video data. Superb. When you stitch videos with iMovie, this can help you preserve date and geo info on the resulting video. Love it.

Video editing glitchy. I have tried using this to edit GoPro videos with incorrect date and time, as well as add location. I have found that the app fails to change data on some videos - Sometimes the app reports an error and sometimes it just doesn’t work. Also, the process is slow and time consuming and you can’t shift the time / date on a batch without making them all identical (at least not as far as I have found).

Doesnt work for half the planet. If you are setting the GPS data below the equator by choosing from the map… bad luck, this app will set the latitude to a positive value (ie the northern hemisphere), omitting the negative sign 😓 Also the search text field to find a location to tag has white text on a white background, so you cant even see what you’re typing.

Worth every cent. I needed to remove the gps data off a whole day's worth of photos & videos, and I tried several programs. Few could do videos, and even fewer could so easily batch clean an entire selection of hundreds of mixed videos & pictures. Brilliant app.

Great. I wanted to change the dates on my old photos so they would appear in order on my iPhone. Worked a treat. Can change good at a too. Not a single issue. A refreshing change.

Take the time to learn. This is a very useful and powerful tool to modify the metadata properties of photos but it does take a bit of time too work it out. It would be useful for the developer to have some short tutorials on their website to show you the best ways to use the software. For example you have to create a metadata schema to update multiple photos but once you work that out you can do a lot quickly. There does seem to be a bit of an issue with trying to update too many items at once. I found if you select more than about 50 the app overloads and shuts down but if you do batches you can quickly get through large numbers. Also if you are wanting to set gps location data make sure you select the ref field along with the actual fields particularly if you are setting southern or Western Hemisphere locations otherwise you end up in the wrong hemisphere!

Keeps crashing when trying to change date. I've tried multiple times to adjust the creation date and it keeps crashing

Edits location decently but time badly. Wanted something that would allow me to make similar edits as to what’s possible on the Mac photos app, editing location was ok but editing time using intervals didn’t work (wasn’t reflected in photos app)

Caused issues in my apple photos app. I downloaded this app to correct the date of old photo I scanned. I should have just used my MacBook where it’s easy. Firstly there is no “years” view so I had to scroll back through all 60k+ photos in my library or create an album in the photos app to get to the ones I wanted. It takes a very long time to load, (possibly that’s my library size). There little guidance and unless you want photos to be changed to “today” you have to select them individually and it’s a laborious process. Finally when it did work one photo caused my phone to create an “1980 - 2018” album with photos from yesterday I didn’t edit in the app. I returned the app and will only ever use the MacBook native photos app to edit metadata in the future.

Great for photo, video tagging needs expanding.. This is a great app for meta tagging photos, however the video options are rather limited. Would love to see .mov files be able to have keywords and descriptions added.

Great app, but important thing missing. This is a great app that does what is advertised. But I wish I had the ability of offset photo dates by a certain amount. Right now when you change the date of something, all of the dates and times become exactly the same. It would be great to be able to apply an offset to the date and time instead.

Disappointed. Locations don’t update. Map is blank. One confusing and frustrating app.

Scam. Dont buy this app, its a scam!

Dont buy. Too complicated to use. Need a university course to use. Just wanted to change the name of pic and change the date to sort by date but to many features

Too much compression & no folder sorting. The app creates new jpg images that are of horrendous quality because of over compression. Lossy quality is unacceptable! Metadata Pro App won’t sort iPhone photo directories for easy finding of folders. iPhone photo folders are displayed in a random jumble. Total incompetence when a programmer does not include any sort directories option.

Video metadata. App keeps closing/failing every time I try to change the video date.

Can't delete pix. It is impossible to delete all the pictures that are inside the app. Really frustrating.
