Best VX. Best video app for skateboarding quality delivered is the best! Frame rates are great 24 and 60 at 4K. One and Only thing I would add is on/off button for the video light to be able to film at night or in dark areas. Maybe audio in controller but , I can live without any of those two things video app is perfect

Zoom. I love how u can adjust the aspect ratio, white balance, and the exposure and make it look almost exactly like a vx. One problem that I found is that u cant zoom when filming long lens.

A couple of bugs but not bad. I love filming and the deathlens but the app is a little broken. There's a couple bugs two to be exact and well they're pretty major. There's one that won't stop recording I press the button off getting a line and it doesn't stop recording it just keeps making new clips until I reinstall the app! The other one is pretty bad it doesn't let me save clips onto my phone until I turn off and on my phone. It's bad I wouldn't recommend it until it's fixed sadly. I love filming the baker, deathwish, and the Shake junt team they're pretty much the same people but yeah please fix this don't disappoint more people! I like the app but it's just broken right now!

Ok. I have the iPhone six and when u use my death lens I can have save to photos on and it won't save them all the time and I don't have the 4K it advertised and it didn't let me excess my videos through the app I have to go to on other app to look at it please fix.

Death lens. This is the best app for anyone using the death lens or any fish eye for s mobile device. Highly recommend it even if you don't have the fisheye attachment. The footy be crispy

I ❤️ DEATHLENS !!. Tbh, app glitches out sometimes, and it's hard to lock the lighting so that it looks good when you're in a room, or anywhere inside. But other than that I literally use my deathlens all the time & actually prefer it over even a go pro or a Sony handycam

^^^. What's better than a skater owned fisheye company? That's some true skating right down to the roots. Beautiful product, any other cheap fisheye looks like ****. The main reason I got the app was for the shaking of the fisheye trying to autofocus in the normal camera app, but this has the setting to turn that off so it doesn't do that. 10/10 DEATHLENS FOR LIFE WOULDNT BUY ANY OTHER BRAND OF FISHEYE!!!

Rip-off. Bought the lens. Sick. Paid for the app. Rad. App updates and now I have to pay again to record over 10 seconds? Will the next update limit my clips to 3 seconds unless I shell out more cash? Gross oversight on your part. Makes me never want to buy any of the hard products again and I planned on buying the new heavy duty case. Money grabs left and right. Your heart isn't in skateboarding.

Very dope. More people need to know about this app. Solves the issue of not being able to turn off auto stabilization for fish lenses. Also the 4:3 ratio is a game changer. So dope! Love the vx vibe

Lost my clips. Very disappointed in it saying it was filming only to see it had glitched or bugged out It didnt save my clips!!!!!! Having a 00:00 clip black screen was soo Disappointing Lost precious clips.... Such a bummer!!!!!!!! Fix that!!!!

Great app. but would love to see like an interlaced 60 frame option in classic mode and give it a warm hue for that vx look

Video. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t it says recording when truly it doesn’t missed a lot of clips and tricks because of this bug /glitch.

You actually need the physical lens. The description did not make it clear that the physical lens was required I though the app itself added the effect of a fish eye...disappointed this was the first app I ever bought now I now why I won't buy anymore

This app is amazing. I used to film with Fisheye on my phone and when I went to edit the clips on my computer the outline of the lens would always be shaking and made me mad. Now that I found this app it makes the outlines stay still and makes the quality soooo much better. I can't even tell it was filmed on an iPhone anymore

FIX THIS APP. I love filming with the death lens but this app makes me so mad. After I finally land a trick I hit the stop recording button and it automatically starts a new clip and keeps doing that. To make this stop I have to close the app. After I do so I come back in to watch the trick that I just tried like 100 times and discover that it's not that even though it said it was filming. This app is messed up. Other than that one HUGE problem, the app is good. But as long as this bug is here it is not usable. Please fix this soon and I'll give it five stars. Thank you

Very limited. Doesn't do much beside maybe add some filters for different types of lighting and different aspect ratios. Crashes anytime I try to upload into it, and not a very strong video editor

better since update. before i struggled to use the app with the previous layout. it made using it with the death lens handle difficult. the new layout has more room for the buttons and works a lot nicer! keep up the good work

Does not work with iPhone 7 although they sell they lens for it. UPDATE: App doesn't work with iPhone 7 The app NEEDS to be able to record 4:3 at 60fps. 30fps is awful for sports and looks even worse when slowed down for a ramped slow mo or any slow mo. If the point is to mimic a Vx1000 then 4:3 should be the priority. 2. The app should be able to begin and end record via the volume buttons on the phone so that problem number #3 isn't such an issue... 3. The app shouldn't reset the locked exposure and focus anytime the screen is touched. This happens often because the record button is very small and easy to miss when you're trying to hit it quickly to begin filming. Doing so means you have to refocus and reset the exposure to what you desire again. Once it's locked it should remain so until manually turned off in the settings. These are three very big issues with the app as it sits now. The app is good as it is, but feels very unrefined without these improvements which shouldn't be very difficult to make as they are all possible via the default camera on the iPhone. Thank you for you product and I hope more improvements are on the way.

App not working. hello i just bought this app 20 minutes ago and it is not working i think it’s because my microphone isn’t working but is there a way i could record without an microphone

I can dig it.. Not bad at all for 2.99. Only thing I would change is being able to use the volume buttons instead of that stupid record button on screen. I miss it a lot and have to redo the line. Other than that. Decent app.

Keep the updates coming.. Awesome app to go along with the desthlens or any fisheye people are using to film skateboarding. No complaints other than the size of the record button, it makes it hard filming a line when I have to look for that little button I know you guys said They don't let apps manipulate the phone but I've used a few apps that use the volume buttons for the shutter. Other than that it's a great app. The video is crisp, and you can remove steady can to stop the frame from shaking like crazy. This update lets you enable it for shooting without the lens so you can stop saying its "broken". Also the editing is super easy, It would be cool to have a way to log in and store clips in something like a cloud service. Since the clips don't automatically save to camera roll I lost footage that was only in the app in an old phone that broke, but that's my fault for not exporting in the first place. Anyway thanks for keeping it updated can't wait to see what else you guys add.

iPhone 11 deathlens wide angle. This lens works great and I was impressed. Making my footage of finger boarding Lookin nice. I'm having fun editing a etc.

Almost buttery. Just needs the zoom to have that smooth vx panning zoom, so you can use the outward zoom feature without it looking gnar. Filmic pro has this feature and would make a world of difference in this one. Think about it!

Needs patching. It needs patching the record button hardly wants to work the auto focus will just adjust in the middle of a clip or the auto brightness will go from day time to night time in a second and ruin the clip and there should be a better way of going through and deleting clips and for it to save your settings when you close out and only change them when you go in settings aside from that its a great app that has a lot of potential

Not worth it. I just received the lens yesterday and pretty disappointed. They never told me I had to buy a 2$ app. May try for a refund.

They don’t tell you the app costs money. Would’ve been nice to know I had to buy a crappy $2 app BEFORE I bought the camera. They don’t tell you that anywhere on the site. It’s only 2 bucks but it makes me feel cheated. major thumbs down ! 👎👎👎

Perfect for fisheye lens. I had problems with the app at first until I updated the software on my phone. It's a good app for the deathlens fisheye for sure. The white balance, exposure, aspect ratio settings, etc., make it well worth it for me.

Its ite. It works about half of the time, and the other half it just doesn't. When I want to get a clip it records even when I press stop, and the recording comes out to half a second. Snapchat is more reliable but it has a restriction on the amount of time u can record

Has potential. I read all the reviews below and I still downloaded it because I love the lens. (I'm using an iPhone 5 so maybe that's why it's glitchy.) Right away it won't let me turn the steady cam on. I do like that it gives you options for video size and the videos look great for it being just an iPhone 5. Only bug issues I've seen in recording part. It's gives an option for instapic which is super sick. I do wish you could play while editing. Being able to slow or speed up would be a good addition to the effects. Besides those easy bugs it's pretty rad!

Too many bugs but it comes out good. It's really good for filming skateboarding lines and clips and looks like a dvx but sometimes it doesn't film and when u do a trick like trey flip a 6 stair, it doesn't flim and takes you a long time to land it again

The full impact case is sick, but.... The full impact case you guys came up with is sick, but it really muffles the mic and you can really hear when your just handling the phone, maybe enable the software to where it uses the bottom mic or which ever mic its not using now, this is all on the iphone 6s as well, but other then that its awesome. Just hoping you guys can fix that issue.

Pretty good app. Still got a bit of tweaking left.. Been using the app whenever I have a lens I haven't scratched. Features are great. Especially the auto focus control. Turning that off and getting rid of the vignette shake (only for the fisheye, wide angle isn't affected. I've used both) is awesome. But when I look through the footy, if I wanna swipe back to the previous clip it displays a blank screen and I have to re-enter the library of footy to see it. No biggie. Also sometimes the recording symbol is stuck looping as if I'm hitting record over n over again. Also the light exposure gets SUPER blown out even with exposure locked. Maybe I don't know what I'm doing but using my regular camera (iPhone 6S) app gets rid of that problem for the most part. Would recommend this all for sure though.

Shout out to Reynolds. I love this app. I just wish you could play your clip before cutting it. And zooming in while filming would make the app so much better. I think i saw that the first update will let you record with the volume button, so I can't wait for that. But I back bakerboysdist 100 percent!

Videos won't let me play after recording. As I tried to record my video it worked. Then after the video was recorded I pressed play and it will not let me play the video also the steady cam will not come on. Please update this app I know it was only two dollars but it's worth it and I bought the camera for 40. Shout out to the Baker boys but please fix the app it is awesome but won't let me play my video after recording

Please bring back the lenses with a vig. I miss having that vx feel. With the new lenses there's no vignette & i feel like that takes away from the feeling.

Amazing!. This app is honestly better than the default camera app. this app even lets you record 120 fps with hd quality!! Definitely worth the money especially using the deathlens

Record button (iPhone). It would be sick if you guys could make it to were we would be able to use the volume button to start recording and end recording.

Very Good. I love the death lens app, but I wish you could record by pressing the volume button, and that you can delete multiple clips at once

Death lens. App is extremely helpful if you have an iPhone. However, the app crashes a lot. And when saving the videos to your phone it saves them all with slomo... this takes up a lot more memory...

Best Filming App!. This app makes filming with the Death Lens easier. Love the ability to turn off steady cam. The double tap feature to mark clips makes it easier to go back and erase the non-makes. If you film skating with your iPhone you need this app!

Should be free. There is no reason at all for this app to be two dollars, if somebody told me they had the choice of buying this app or two dollars worth of crack, I would tell them to buy the crack at least then they might feel a small glimmer of happiness witch is more then this piece of trash app could ever offer.

Crash Report. Started using the app today. It doesn’t save the videos to my photos on my phone. This app was crashing in the middle of filming. I would not recommend this app until they fix this problem.

Needs some bugs fixed. App is nice to use other than when trying to view footy. When looking through each clip sometimes a black screen will appear instead of the clip causing the app to close out majority of the time if you try to click anything option on the right side (like save clip etc). Please fix this.

Recording. Just updated it, hopefully it fixes the problem I've had when I would hit to end record and it would record again and film nothing, other than that this app is pretty coooool

Great App. I love this app, looks super crisp and almost matches the footage from my vx1000, the only problem is I film with the auto focus off and the exposure locked, and sometimes when I try to press the record button I accidentally press the screen and it sets it all back to auto again, other than that great app

Film!!!. Great for filming clips compared to the normal camera app.

To slow. The app is too slow, and there needs to be the ability to save large numbers of clips to camera roll. Also takes to long for the recording to start. This is on a brand new iPhone 6

Great but could still do with a few things. Still needs: *pinch to zoom function *option to turn side volume buttons into record button. Other than that the vx1000 has been captured brilliantly with this app. It's easy to use and is so spot on that it brings back some great nostalgic memories.

Wide angle camera. So far I’ve found the app to be very useful and I like it a lot, I have only one issue. I can’t use my 0.5 wide angle camera on my iPhone 12, it only allows me to use the regular one.

2 essential functions broken. I have a brand new iPhone 6 and using this app the exposure never stays locked, the focus never stays locked, it always attempts to readjust itself after a couple of tries, no reply from deathlens, I'm sure I'm not alone here.

Just needs ability to zoom while filming. So rad, turns your phone into a VX, so sick. Just needs the ability to zoom in and out while filming, then this app will be perfect!

nice!. i remember downloading this awhile back and feeling it was a bit lackluster, but it seems really cleaned up now! the only thing i feel is needed is an output video setting, for some reason it’s saving clips as hevc instead of the h.233 or whatever the more compatible setting is i have set in my camera settings. stoked on the pro 10mm lens!

More options!!!. Hello! Please add 60fps capabilities to the 4:3 classical look!! We love how the 4:3 looks on Instagram, but having 60fps would make things much better for the general viewer that likes HD 60fps. Please please! Me and friends love the classical 4:3 and we know original vx is brought down to 30fps for online reasons, but 4:3 ratio with 60fps would look really nice for Instagram. Thank you!!

Lens is worth it, app isn't.. I have a 5c and the only things that work for me are white balance and the focus/exposure locks... Which I can use the normal phone camera app for. Waste of my money. Also very annoying not being able to use the volume buttons to start/stop recording, as the record button is too small and finicky. Missed out on half the clips I was filming due to the positioning of it. The lens itself is definitely worth it. If you have a 5c, don't buy the app.

Death Lens made my life easier!. Amazing! I love this app! I've gone through the progression from shooting on a VX to HVX to saying screw it, and just using my phone. Death Lens has made that so much easier! I love the hand to mark clips, the "steady shot" off setting to stop shaky vig and vintage VX look!

Needs update for iPhone 7. With my iPhone 5s I could change to 1080p at different fps rates but with my iPhone 7 I can only film at 480p at 30fps. Please fix this I need my clips yo!

Needs .5 zoom. It’s not a usable app anymore without the .5 zoom option

Works well... most of the time. This app works really well most of the time. But recently I ran into a problem where my clips weren’t saving. Spending 2 hours landing a trick just to not be able to find the footage is very frustrating. Other than that small issue everything else works fine. All the features work well and changing your settings is very simple and straightforward.

Keeps force closing. Every time I try to record a clip the app force closes when I hit the record button to stop recording.

Annoying auto focus issue. It's really easy to put the auto focus on when trying to hit record - this really needs to be fixed 🙏

NEEDS UPDATE!!!. App will NOT let me film longer than 10 seconds. This is not a storage space issue on my phone. Several other issues needs to be addressed. Should be a way to delete multiple clips at once, if you use the app to long the sound doesn't match the footage..

Don't buy this. I paid for this app a while ago to film with my Deathlens but with the new update you have to pay $2 to record anything over 10 seconds.

Restore purchases is not working. They say to restore purchases for current users and that's not working.

Terrible. Dude this thing has sucked since I got it. Constantly auto focuses and messes up clips. And now it's trying to make me pay again to record over ten seconds. I've restored purchases over ten times. Straight garbage I want my 3 bucks back

Nice app but not terribly useful for avg user... I do own the Death Lens Fisheye but I'm not a skater or anything.. just an avid photographer. I can't say enough good things about their lenses, they are top notch. However I think for what this app is, they should've given us a code or something to get this app for free. (Especially after spending $40 on a single lens). There's not a whole lot of added value to getting this app if you aren't doing a lot of action photography with the Fisheye...but even then most functions are available in free apps out there and even through your built in camera app. Judging by their last update, it's not likely they support the app regularly either.

AUDIO ISSUE!!. This app is amazing for getting those butter angles. Only thing is... The audio keeps cutting off while filming!! This needs to be fixed as soon as possible!!

Could be better!. I love everything about it. Reminds me a lot of VX.. -Good quality -Low price -Works great with death lens fisheye/wide angle! -Awesome 4:3 ratio, and 1080/4k etc. -Great exposure, but its not set on the center, but on the sides... You have to mess with it. Overall great app but some things could be updated ;) ---I wish you could zoom in while recording, and use the volume buttons. Also the record button is a bit small.

this app is buggy. waste of 2.99 just because they slapped Reynolds name all over it. contacting iTunes to refund my money. | here's the issue, when you try recording and then after try to export it, it freezes up your iPhone 6 | way better apps out there, why did I buy this crap
