Fail. Unable to login. Can't find the account even though the account info is the same and works with Land Rover Remote.

It keeps showing the last parked location in a different place!!!!. When is Land Rover going to fix this app?! All their apps do not work!!!!!!!!!!

App doesn’t work. I paid over 100K for a car and you can’t provide an app that works. Get it together, if you can’t provide an app that works, then don’t provide one at all.

Poor design. Asks for my VIN then recognizes my car correctly. After that if I go to manage my vehicles it shows "you have 0 vehicles". Round and round you go. Adding the VIN confirming the vehicle only to find "you have 0 vehicles". Not sure what the benefit of this app is because I can either enter the destination in my vehicle or use google maps on my phone. Land Rover. Are you listening? Single sign on for all aspects of the vehicle should be automatic. One registration not several. Make it seem less.

Awful app- Does not work. As another reviewer has said, this app believes my car is 5+ miles away from where it is, despite the fact that the Control app has the vehicle position correct. Pretty sad that LR developers can't manage to pull location info from another one of THEIR OWN APPS. Will delete this one- waste of time.

Thought it didn't work but it was me.. I originally wrote a bad review because I could not log in, but it was my fault. You need to register in the car first then it will recognize the login. Did the Encore lesson and all is good. App works as advertised.

Crude. I tried it one time and that was enough. Why bother if you can’t compete with Google or even Apple Maps. Default is walking. That’s nonsense for a car app. Shows two routes to my destination but I can’t see how to choose one. It’s chooses for me. The time is fairly close but it shows 51 miles to a location I know is 24 miles. I just looked at the last update time! Three years ago! That’s absolutely pathetic. Many of my apps get updated almost weekly and Land Rover can’t be bothered with an update in 3 years. I wanted an off-road vehicle with some nice styling but I will have to go back to Land Cruisers.

Frustrating App. I’ve registered my email account a billion times and every time I try to login on the app, I get different error messages, such as: “Cannot log you in for securing reasons” “Email account not recognized” “Try again in 60mins” Then when I am lucky enough to login on the website, I cannot add my VIN because the lame stuff say my VIN is invalid!?!? This is the most ridiculous app I’ve ever come across, I do not know if they don’t read the reviews here. I’ve spent time googling to see if I can get any information on how to fix this but I have not been able to come across any use guide or instructions on how to do this. Does not work. App no longer sends directions to my car. Many others have the same issue. Please concentrate on improving the apps and less on spending money on frivolous things like outfitting a Land Rover with a full kitchen for a celeb chef. No reason why Land Rover owners should have an app that is inferior to Toyota owners.

Still parked at dealership. Fix the app. The touch screen navigation stinks and needs upgrading. This app would help.

Don’t bother with this. This app is total garbage. It has my location 200 miles away and there is no way to change it. It also defaults to walking so every time it says it cannot get the route because it is too far to walk. Don’t waste your time.

The only one of the apps that works like it should. This app actually works...unlike that stupid remote app that won’t start my vehicle. I can put in an address and have it show up on the dash navigation.

Use this app to send addresses to your Land Rover. I use this app all the time to send addresses to the nav system in our 2018 Range Rover Sporf. It's more convenient and easier to do this on my iPhone X before getting into the car and trying to type on the slow InControl display.

Cant route me hit it finds the location. It shows and finds the address hut will not let you route and start. It just says cant find a route check your settings WT $&:&/!:(:&!,@€|%]%[*! !

Useless app. This app used to allow me to send a route from the app to my vehicle’s navigation system. That is really the only reason to use this app and now can’t even do that. The app was last updated 9 months ago even after repeated complaints. Before that, it was updated 4 years ago. Definitely not a priority for Land Rover. Land Rover needs to do better for such expensive vehicles.

Severely Flawed, Restricts Phone Use, Slow. Enclosed are comments regarding the InControl architecture as well as Navigation and Remote. Note that one cannot use the route planner without the InControl Touch Pro even though one purchased Navigation. All entries must be manually entered on screen and there is no phone integration other than verbal Bluetooth directional status. Having used the InControl App for 3 weeks I am sorely disappointed in Jaguar/Land Rover. The InControl App is so horrendous, I regret my vehicle purchase. For example, For example, there is NO texting integration. This is a serious design flaw that when coupled with a locked phone design flaw is completely unacceptable. InControl requires the phone to be tethered/plugged in to function. Not so with Apple CarPlay. Your device is locked with a tethered image. If one locks their phone (to save screen use) or attempts to go to the phone home screen or other phone function the InControl features stop functioning meaning they do not run in the background. Horrendous design flaw. Further, safety features are disabled when InControl is in use. For example, Park Assist beeping does NOT function when playing audio. Yet another horrendous design flaw. I have not tested for other design flaws but frankly I'm done already. If you have not purchased one of these fine vehicles yet, consider these limitations before you purchase - these certainly would have influenced my purchase decision. Likewise, the Remote functionality is reasonable but flawed by excessive identification time. My vehicle status just took 60 seconds. Consider this, count to 60 with the intent of starting your car, getting into your home, etc. the delay is unacceptable. Furthermore, one may not control temperature after the vehicle is started. Kudos though to successful operation in an underground parking facility. Be sure to read on for the core InControl architecture.

Navigation is great. Interface and connectivity horrible. That app itself works well But it’s not intuitive , like all LR unfortunately . I wish there was just a simple send to car command. Or add a waypoint to current route. Pls pls try harder

Can’t log in. It keeps telling me “didn’t find an account associated with that email address.”

No longer works. The only reason I have this app is to push a navigation location to my Range Rover so that when I get into the vehicle it is pre-loaded and I can just start driving. The functionality to connect to my vehicle stopped working months ago and there have been no app updates. Useless and frustrating app.

Terrible app expected from Land Rover. I wish there was something good I could say about this app. It’s just down right terrible. Nothing works properly. Routes are wrong.

Does not work. App does not work as described. First, it seems to think my car is parked 5 miles away when it's actually feet away in my garage. The Land Rover Remote app can see where it's parked. Second, it does not sync with my car when I get in and hand off navigation to the touch screen. I suppose that could be because it thinks my car is 5 miles away? Either way, the app simply does not work and I'm deleting it.

Helpful. I receive addresses on my smart phone via email, calendar or other apps. Loading the addresses straight from my phone to the Land Rover is easy, less typing and saves me time. Thats helpful.

Can’t believe how bad the app experience is. Can’t even login to the app nor it recognizes my VIN .There are so many seamless customer experience apps in the market and JLR can’t learn from it ? I thought Tata’s had top notch digital services unit .what happened to that ? Looking forward to use the app atleast once .

This app no longer works!. This app was great when it worked but now it doesn’t even let me sign in. States that it can’t find vehicle even though the remote app does and functions just fine.

Worst app ever. The key to using the product is registering. However, I can’t simply get past the registration part. Completely useless. No response from support either so don’t waste your time or think you can use this with your new Land Rover.

Doesn’t work..... When was the last time you updated and worked on this app. It doesn’t work with my iPhone 11 running iOS 13. You must do better. This is ridiculous. The app won’t even open now.

Just start over. One of the selling features to my new Discovery was the updated tech over my last few rigs. Unfortunately they have not delivered a consistent, easy to use, intuitive application. There are other auto manufactures with much lower price points that have this figured out. Much less what is expected with a lux vehicle like this. Very disappointed, does LR care ?

Very slow to get a location, no easy to use. Land Rover Route planner Apps is a waste of time and energy. Sad paying that much for a car and I can use a decent GUI for navigation, music or calls/messages. The basics what I am asking for... why not provide customers who pays $xxx simple Apple CarPlay connectivity which is proven, tested and easy to use. Land Rover need to stop selling cars with nice large screens with no proper features . SHAME!

Navigation. RR navigation system/ infotainment is SIMPLY TERRIBLE!!! $$ 100k+ SUV should NOT have these issues. Navigation has taken me through some of Chicago’s WORST areas & Indiana... Infotainment is brutally slow & should be updated for free, extremely sad technology!!! I wish I never purchased this SUV..... better technology in vehicles for a FRACTION OF WHAT A RR COST !!!

Land Rover apps are poor quality. I love my 2 Landover vehicles. However the apps for route guidance and remote start are terrible in terms of reliability !!!

Terrible and disturbing app. I cannot understand how a company like Land Rover could come up with such a terrible app. Every time I start my car or tries to connect to my phone, it requests permission to connect, and I mean every single time I start up my car. If I already gave permission from my phone to be accessed, I don’t understand why it requests permission every single time. Also the apps are very limited and not useful at all. It is better if you allow a third party professional app to operate with your vehicle instead of wasting your time and money for something completely useful. I love my Range Rover, but this is annoying me every day and wished I never downloaded it. You can do a lot better guys. If you read the reviews you will realize you got to do something about it.

Terribly Unresponsive. I’m trying to remotely lock my vehicle, however the app won’t let me because it says the vehicle has been asleep for over a week. Strange because I drove 5 hours from NC to VA yesterday, and drove today in VA as well. Of course the vehicle still thinks it’s in NC, or at least the app does.

Epic failure (again). It helps if you can log on ...

Why won’t this app work?. Keeps telling me my car location setting aren’t correct. Then it won’t recognize my VIN. Why do we need 3 different apps!? Ugh!

iPhone X support would help. App works reasonably well, but the lack of iPhone X support is more stark in a map app. It also would be great to remember login information better. App seems to forget often, and I have to sign in again. The error says “something happened on their end.”

Never works. Tried on several phones and this is completely useless as constantly says requires my location. It seems there is no Q&A at Land Rover given the other apps are poor quality.

Can’t even sign in!!!!. Come on Land Rover! This is not what we should expect from a British premium vehicle. My Mercedes “send to car” map system works like a dream. Why can Land Rover not get this simple task right?EVERYTHING should be on the “Remote App”: Maps, vehicle start, windows operation, find my car, maps (send destination to vehicle), Rear Seat controls. This surely this cannot be that complicated? I would have given this app zero stars if it were possible.

Disappointed. I have tried repeatedly to connect as others have stated. I have tried to find more information on the app also to no avail. I have a 2020 Defender with the latest PIVI Pro system. My InControl app and account work very well but this Route app is dead on arrival. I always get the log into vehicle and save location in settings. I am logged in and cannot find a save location option in settings or as I stated ANY guidance to sort this out from Landrover.

Inaccurate streets/wrong directions/dangerous. Using the map is dangerous. For instance, it tells me turn left when exhibiting the street that I live on but turning left would have me driving on the wrong side of the road. Likewise, it tells me to turn on a street that has not existed since before 2011 (I would end up in someone’s living room). Therefore, the map is OLD and outdated even though it said that I have the most recent version in the car and on the app. There is a highway that became a toll road over a year ago, I do not use toll roads and have the options set to avoid the, but the map is always directing me to take toll highways, such as this one. My friends laugh at me because I am driving a 2017 Range Rover but I still have to use Waze on my cell phone or my old Garmin for accurate directions. You would think that RR would not have these issues but this is the worse car map service I have ever used. Please, please, please update this map with at least the version from 2017 so that the map will match the “update date”. Thank you.

Terrible, Outdated, and Awkward. For a $109,600 SUV, I expected so much more. There are so many things wrong with the suite of apps: It is a suite of 3 Apps: Why Is the “Phone Connection”, “Remote Access”, “Navigation Access” apps all separate? There did no logical reason for these to be separated into different apps that don’t talk to each other The app won’t even use the addresses on your phone to speed up data entry. So you you have to type or search The search is slow and inaccurate. I have not been able to find stores when I type in their exact name and ZIP code Why not use a wireless connection? The car has WiFi and Bluetooth. It could easily run the InControl apps via bluetooth. In comparison look past Mercedes, BMW, and Audi’s apps. While many of them have their own issues, the reviews are significantly higher rated. In the case of the BMW and Audi I can confirm that the functionality is extensively better. In today’s day and age, the connectivity and functionality is highly important So after three Range Rovers, this will be my last unless within the next 2 years they pull their head out and TRULY dedicate a team to build an innovative and quality experience rivaling.

Poor instructions... can't login. The description of the app sounds great but it doesn't recognize my inControl account. I'll update my review if I can ever login!

App does not work. The app will not update my SUV’s current location. It is locked with the dealership location where I purchased the SUV. Therefore, it will not allow me enter new destinations. The offers a great concept which I hope will be usable soon, assuming the app is fixed! The Remote app works very well including having the correct location for the vehicle.

Route download stopped working. I am completely frustrated. The route creation and download to my vehicle was a nice feature. About 1 year ago the app simply stopped downloading to my vehicle. The web version continues to work as expected. Here Technologies will only deal with Land Rover not customers. Land Rover has been working with Here Technologies but after 12 months still refuses to accept the fact that their app is broken. I have found other reviews stating exactly the same issue but Land Rover/Here continue to treat this issue as an isolated issue somehow specific to my phone. I couldn’t be more disappointed in the customer support by both Here Technologies and Land Rover. They offer a product that simply doesn’t work but really don’t seem to have an interest in resolving the issue. Update, now after 24 months the app still will not download/communicate with my vehicle. Here.com and Land Rover continue to state they are working on a solution. The app still does not work, Land Rover really doesn’t seem to care.

Ridiculously bad. When you put a search in most times the route given takes you miles out of the way suggesting a four hour route for something that should be one hour

This app can't even find my car. This app can't even find my car. When I hit login, it tells me to turn on the setting that locates me car. It would be helpful if they told me where this was.

Parked Location. When will this app update my vehicles. parked location? I deleted the app and reinstalled it but it still has my last parked location wrong. What’s worse is that I have never been to the address shown. This app is completely useless. Thankfully we have CarPlay and can use Waze LOL

Location. I have just got out of the dealer after big software upgrade. The app still has my RR at a location for the last 3 months. I was hoping this would have been fixed but no so the app is useless.

Shows that my vehicle is at home all the time.. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. No change. Otherwise neat concept and features. Useless though for me.

Shared Destination does NOT work !. Firstly, it doesn't read your contacts so you can to create each contact in the app/in your vehicle. Secondly, when you hit "share destination " it says it's now sharing with the contact you selected but nothing happens! I've tried this several times and each person said they received nothing. Needs major update.....
