The Best!. The best drawing app In the App Store—and doesn’t track your personal information, to boot!

A decent five - updated. I'll keep this short. I love the pictures. I like the 'realistic' approach of having to pat attention to staying in the lines, but an option to restrict you to be within would be nice. At least there is no subscription to deal with and that is a big plus! Different coloring 'brushes' for different effects would also be nice. I wish you could hide the side bar... sometimes hand changes the setting... But all considered there is a lot to like here. Millie - PLEASE!!!!!!! Make us more packs please, please, please!

My favorite adult coloring book app!. I have tried several coloring book apps that are reportedly helpful for reducing anxiety and stress. It's frustrating when you're compelled to download certain apps only to learn that you must pay for a monthly or yearly subscription before you can even try the app out. That's just plain wrong. Fortunately, this app does not require you to buy before trying. You are given a starter pack with about 6 coloring pages that will keep you busy for hours. Other packs of coloring pages are available, which can be purchased for a reasonable, one-time price. I am more apt to do this versus sign up for a subscription. What I love about this particular app is that the actual act of coloring is incredibly realistic. Using the colored pencil is is so lifelike, it's quite satisfying, lol. You can shade, blend, and even create your own color pallets with unique colors, which is an excellent feature. The only downside to such flexibility is that it is hard to backtrack to a previous color used if it hasn't been saved in the color palette. There should be an option to use an eye dropper to select and replicate an already used shade. Other features that would enhance this app might be a larger variety of tools with which to color, as well as different mediums. Ultimately, I love this app and still rate 5 stars! Looking forward to future updates.

Love it. Didn't think I'dlike a coloring app with my Apple Pencil so I didn't initially like it because it seemed a little difficult to stay in the lines but once I delved into all the options, sizes, blowing things up making them smaller etc..... I was stuck totally in love

Crashes on Share to Photos. Great app. Very enjoyable and relaxing. But the biggest problem with it is it will crash when you attempt to save or “share” your image to your photos. I’ve checked my Privacy settings and it’s not even listed as having requested permission to access my Photos.

Okay. There are two things I would change about this. 1) Have a feature which turns off palm/finger mode so it won’t leave accidental marks/drawings when you move the page. 2) When you change the size of the utensil, also have the “utensil dot” on the slider scale change size so we know what size it actually is. Edit: I lied. Three things. I would also change the fact that when your device goes to sleep, it closes the app and you have to reopen it and reopen your drawing and get your pencil and color back to what it was...

More please!. Better than all the rest, by far...please please expand or make more like this

Drawing app. It’s nice, but it’s kinda dumb you have to pay for some stuff.

Better than pencils and paper!. This drawing app is better than colored pencils and coloring books. The colors are unlimited. The tools can vary in thickness as well as one can choose to paint or to color. The app allows for zooming in for accurateness. The eraser is flawless in use. Finally the drawings are beautiful. The only thing that would make it better would be to have more depictions available to color.

Amazing. I absolutely love this app!! Like it gives the actual feel of coloring and not tap color. Definitely relaxing and stress relieving.

Options. I love this app especially now that I have my Apple Pencil. I can get into tighter space is much better. However I wish there was a better way of picking different shades. I have a hard time finding the exact shade I want the way it is set up now. Other than that I absolutely love the coloring book.

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE APP!. I have been a fan of Millie Marotta for years, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw an app for my iPad. One thing I do wish for is more color pages to add a little more variety. Love what you’re doing! Keep up the good work.

Fantastic Pictures!. This app is simply wonderful. It works brilliantly with the Apple Pencil (I’m using an iPad Pro 10.5”, first gen pencil). There are no subscriptions to fool with, just simple purchases. The developers were kind enough, however, to grant everyone 6 free pictures to color as we wish. They’re gorgeous images. As to the folks who complain that everything in life should be free, that’s absurd. Would you work for free? Do you walk into Barnes and Noble and expect free books? No. The developers put a lot of time and effort into this app and thus deserve to be paid accordingly. Download it. Try out the pictures. You stand to lose nothing. To the Devs: Thank you for such a soothing, stress-relieving app. I’m grateful.

Could be better. This has the potential to be a good app. However, it is lacking in certain features that could make coloring easier. There is no fill feature and the brush and pencil plus all the tiny spaces makes the coloring tedious rather than pleasurable. I do like the ability to color as light or heavy as desired. Creating a new color is easy as well. With added features or abilities I would give this a higher rating. Instead I am deleting it. Too much trouble to produce a picture. If I wanted to creat a work of art, I’d create my own using oils acrylics on canvas.

Ok but. Wish there was more than 6 pictures with no options to either purchase more or even earn more. Must be another abandoned coloring app!

Love it but one suggestion. I really love the app it’s awesome and perfect for when I travel or just when I’m bored. The only thing is I really wish that more than only one pack was free. Though I love taking my time on these, I want more FREE options. The prices aren’t crazy high, but it’s still isn’t preferable.

Fun for all. The next best thing to paper and pencil. You can create your own unlimited colors. Recommend having a stylus, although a finger works.

1 thing annoys me. This app is the bomb diggidy and it’s fun and relaxing. Bout when I press the curved arrow on the left isn’t it supposed to undo what I just did instead of erasing some random other thing I drew weeks ago?

Most recent iPad version firmware upgrade ruined it. The pen marker used to lay a really nice dark solid color but after the upgrade to the lates iPad the color laid is super light and hardly an color so you have go over the same place again and again and it still doesn’t put color down. It completely ruined this wonderful app😭

Great but needs a color-picker. Love your app but it DESPERATELY need a color-picker / eye-dropper tool so we can tap on an existing color again without having to save it in our palette in the first place.

Great fun. I like the old school coloring rather than just touching a space to fill it in. You can do so much more creatively this way. I bought all the additional pages but I wish there were more. I’d buy them. I really would.

Wanted to give more stars but.... Was super happy to find a non subscription coloring book that you could actually color using the Apple Pencil to find out that apparently you can no longer purchase more pages in the app. If they change this I will change my rating. I just want a coloring book that I can load, actually color with my pencil and then by more pages if I want to.

Good at first. But actually terrible. These are my main issues. Each one individually makes this app unusable, let alone all 4 Issue 1 The repeat texture the brush uses is really annoying/maddening when trying to feather and blend. It's painfully obvious. Also the draw rate is terrible. I have to move really far to get it do draw another dollop of awful texture. Issue 2 Fix the undo button. Seriously. When you draw a line, then a second, then a third, and undo the third line, it will add a second path on top of the other two lines making them darker and shows off that aforementioned repeat texture really well. Issue 3 When you start drawing, it should start drawing, not 3 seconds later. This makes detail work impossible. Issue 4 Allow me to zoom in more. Sometimes I want to fill the page with what I'm working on to use different muscle groups to get better lines and fades, cannot do that when I'm stuck hovering out 10m Conclusion. The app has potential, however lacks a solid framework and feels thrown together. There are many other issues that I didn't go over but these are the glaring problems. I don't even think this is usable for casual coloring. 2 stars because I like the stencils.

Nothing is Free. You get 6 images to color. Just 6. Want more options? No, you can’t! Another one of those coloring apps that you find out after you install it that you can’t color without sending them money. Deleting.

Love this so much.. Most of the coloring apps are nothing more than touching a field and filling it with color. This app is like real painting or coloring. I use a stylus and can blend and smear colors. There’s an almost unlimited shades of colors. Love love love

Love it but.... I love the feel of actually coloring, but something I think would be nice to have as an optional feature (depending on user) is having a line barrier so that users do not have to worry about coloring outside the lines. Otherwise I love this app! The colors, the feel and the simplicity of it all!

Please add sound to the tools!. I would practically fall asleep lol! I subscribed to Lake and this free app rivals Lake in my honest opinion. It’s very relaxing and the art is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your amazing art with us!

Tedious and Monotonous. Let me get this straight: too hard. I can’t get the tools to the style I like. Pictures are too complicated, just too much to color. I know this is supposed to be for adults. But the pictures might overwhelm them as well. It’s the opposite of relaxation.

In App Purchase Warning. Apparently in app purchases wil no longer download, but they are still shown as available to purchase. The developer site is no longer online either.

Yes Yes Yes. In my personal opinion this app has the best free brushes. And the coloring pages are so complex and gorgeous! The colored pencil actually feels like a real colored pencil unlike pigment. And the free pack is really good. I’ll probably be buying another pack or so when I get done with a few of the free ones. I love how there isn’t a subscription and you can Recolor the pages as you please. With the complexity of the pages you’re limitless on the designs you can make. I love the way the Apple pencil(gen 1) works flawlessly. You have access to a color wheel and can save colors in a pallet like format for use. I’m a rainbow lover and use the pallet as such when doing certain projects. One thing I’d love to see is more packs. I’d probably end up buying whatever packs get made available just to support this application and how nicely it’s put together.

Apple Pencil’s dream!. Finally a coloring book that lets you actually color! You are in control of coloring, not the app. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

More realistic style coloring. I have been looking for just for the right adult coloring app, for a long time now, and this one has been the closest. There isn’t a whole bunch of coloring tool options, but some of us just want it simple. The majority of them force you to stay in the lines; this one is more realistic as if it was paper and you were coloring with colored pencils. I know all these coloring apps pretty much force you to either pay for a subscription, to continue coloring or make you pay for additional packs; however, I wonder if you would be willing to add additional free images to the 6 you already have here?

Good.. I like the different colors and coloring pages it works grate if you ha e a Apple Pencil there are a lot of little details it is a real cool app and over all it is awesome.

Could be great. I loved this app when I first got it. It worked really well with my Apple Pencil, and I could create impressive coloring so; however, after only a few days, the app stopped responding to my pencil. I have tried re-installing the app and re-pairing my pencil multiple times, but nothing seems to work. I have tried my pencil in other apps to confirm it isn’t the pencil, too. I love this app when it works with the pencil, which doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Too bad.

It’s About Time - a Great Start. Millie Marrotta’s Coloring Books are fabulous and now she has produced an iPad app that really can make use of the new Apple pencil. This is the 1st coloring app that I’ve found that I like and can use my new Apple pencil. Her drawings are gorgeous and it will be fun to experiment with different colors, and even recolor the same picture. I look forward to her adding more color palettes and more pictures. Maybe the ability to have some textures would be interesting. Anyhow, this app has great potential and is off to a great start.

As good as the printed version but with infinite colors!. I enjoyed Millie Marotta's printed coloring book "Tropical Wonderland", so when I encountered this app of course I downloaded right away. I actually prefer the app because it has high quality pictures just like the printed version, plus I have an infinite range of colors to choose from and the undo/eraser function which are obviously missing in the printed environment ;) Certain images you have to pay for, but you can start with the free images which are just as fun.

Best by far!. After trying countless coloring apps I found this one and was hooked! It’s so realistic and satisfying. I would LOVE to see more packs available though…

Perfect. After downloading several apps & deleting them because of either the cost or because they were tap & fill instead of colouring in, I was thrilled to find this app. I have several of this artist’s colouring books and really like her work. This app is just like colouring in with pencils. You can shade and add personal touches. The add ins are very reasonably priced and aren’t a subscription like many of the other apps. Very happy 😄

Mindful Colouring. I love it! So relaxing to colour especially on the iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. The update with added colours is awesome. I can't wait for the new packs, keep the coming!

A good app. The app is really fun but it always crashes and it makes me so fustrated because I finish a part in the drawing and it suddenly crashes and when I open it back up I have lost everything i did. Please fix this problem.

A masterpiece that's not complete. It's a great app, hands down, but it does lack stylus connectivity. Please add connectivity to most styluses (Pencil by 53 to be specific).

Epic!. This is hands down the best colouring app out there! Tried a few, but you’ve gotta spend big bucks if you want the whole experience. This is just like the real thing, and the extra sets you can buy at minimal cost will keep you going for days. With my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil I’m set for hours of fun. Unreservedly 5 stars!

Love Millie’s books. I would be happier if you could get all her drawings not just a select few. Absolutely love her designs, please add all the books whole.

WHY IS THERE NO FILL OPTION!. it's a great app but the only thing I don't like is that there is no fill option other wise it's to hard do colour in please add this and then I'll rate it 5 stars

Love it. Love it. I love how you can actually draw it yourself instead of fill it in with a tap. The only thing I pad like is more colours otherwise great

No Fill in option. It's a bit to hard to draw since it doesn't have the fill option. It would take a while to do it which would mean you can do gradient colours.

Requires a Pen. I was expecting something much different. I was hoping for a better app. Love to color but found this app is way too difficult to color inside the lines unless you have a pen. The color selection is pretty limited. Such a shame! 😩

Use to be good. I purchased the ocean pack, with new update it disappeared and I cannot get it back. Disappointed.

Better than paper colouring. Love it. Blending and choosing colours are easy as you can get. Zooming in for detail and ease of erasing makes it more fun than paper. One thing I would like is to re-choose a colour from your picture by picking a colour actually already on the picture. That way you wouldn't have to guess or try more than once. Great stress reliever!!

Love being able to use my Apple Pencil like a real pencil. The only thing that is annoying is when you pinch and zoom in or out with your fingers it sometimes makes marks or smudges on the drawing that you have to erase out. Could you please fix this? Otherwise it’s awesome and I love it!

Great start. This is one of the better colouring apps out there. Only a few complaints, that, if fixed, would be 5 stars. Need a save that doesn't exit. Need a lot more colours. Closer zoom.

Lost my purchased colouring books!. This would have been 5 stars but the app won’t let me access my colouring books, which have paid for. I’ll revise my rating once my purchases have been restored.

Fun, but need better pinch-to-zoom detection and palm rejection. This app is fun to colour using the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro. However, it's so frustrating trying to pinch-to-zoom and have a streak of colour just wreck your colouring job! INFURIATING! Plus, there needs to be better palm rejection while using the Pencil; yet again, more random splotches of colour due to your hand resting on the screen from colouring.

Nice but needs some improvements. It is very nice and amusing to color and also has eraser and nice color selection. In addition it works great with iPad pencil . But pictures are limited to birds and animal that comes a bit boring. In addition the free section is very limited no varieties and no added picture. Hope the address that cause not every one has the ability to pay that much.

Apple Pencil. This app is okay without an Apple Pencil. Without a pencil it’s hard to get good detail. But, with the Apple Pencil it is amazing! Almost better than colouring on paper! The free version is really great.

This is the way.... This is the way colouring books should all be done. Millie is a very talented artist. There is a healthy amount to colour for free and blocks of themed pages for additional colouring to also support the artist, at a reasonable price. I’d happily pay $1.39 for a book than $6.99 a week in a ridiculously expensive subscription. The colours are fully adjustable. There is an option between pencil and brush. In reality that’s all you need to become immersed. I’ve previously purchased one of her "real life" colouring books and was very pleased there as well.

Impressive. Awesome app, especially with the Apple Pencil. The free version is fantastic, with 5 images to colour, so I'll definitely be getting paid one!

Like watercolour with transparency. Finely detailed drawings to colour. I have a Hex3 pen and it's fun. Can layer colours which I love. I never did colour inside lines perfectly anyway. Wish it had a lock button -- the page moves as I start to colour on my iPad mini.

Awesome!. I installed this app with my new 9.7" iPad Pro and I love it! It is fairly basic in principle (colour selector, pencil, marker? eraser), but these basic tools can be used to create some really pretty pictures. The developers include several free images for you to colour in. So much fun - particularly for someone who isn't terribly artistic.

Love this. I love this app. It is the only app I can use that really lets me use my apple pencil like a coloring tool. The new update is really neat. Only one problem, the button to buy the savannah pictures does not respond to purchase them. The bird ones work. Please fix it, thanks

Superb with Apple Pencil. If you have an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil you will fall in love with this app. The ability to do shading and blend colors is very realistic. It feels very similar to doing a colored pencil painting. The color palette has been reworked so that you can make any hue you want. The pictures themselves are artistically rendered from nature with a whimsical flair. Best coloring app by far.

Enjoyable so far.. I have tried several of the apps, including Pigment, and like this app. I am going to try it for a few more days before I spend money on it. I do not understand why metallic, neon, and glitter colors aren't available.

Pictures not very likeable. Too many reptiles and ugly animal pictures. Snakes reptiles, not pretty deer are unappealing. Rhinos? The ipencil works well but please improve the pictures. There are soo many great animal pictures available. Do not make them look like a nightmare. Hopefully the botanicals pac will be better. I am not going to waste my ipencil battery on a picture that I do not like.

9.7" iPad Pro. Unfortunately this doesn't work on the new 9.7" iPad Pro. Works on my larger iPad Pro.

Amazing paint app. Its a nice paint app. Maybe needs the feature of custom colors and more free templates. And why not add stylus support (like 53 stylus or adonit) not only for apple pencil.

Creativity is awesome. This really lets you color like you are using real pencils, with blending and mixing. All the illustrations are lovely, with lots of details, the color palette is endless. You can color forever here.

Butterfly. WHERE ARE THE COLORS????? I've done one pic, and I am BORED with the palette Millie picked for me! Otherwise I love this app.

Most realistic coloring app yet. Works very nicely with Apple Pencil after selecting fine pen tip width. Very intuitive. Just like real coloring--but you can erase!

Fun and relaxing. Thank you for the great app. It's nice after a stressful day to color such great pictures.

Fluid Interface and Experience. Amazingly accurate with great start up templates. Highly recommend to get those creative juices flowing and relieve any tension.

The best for many reasons. This app is the best for coloring. It has pressure sensitivity with Apple Pencil, you can change the size of the brush/pencil, you can pinch and zoom and you can erase. Most apps don't have the combination of all of the above. I love it. More packs please!

Did like it before update. I was able to use my bamboo pen and now I can not use it on picture. I can pick colors or pen type even open app with my pen. I have a iPad Air 2 and it says it's supposed to work. Like I said it did work before this last update ... I will not be keeping this app if this issue is not fixed.

Gorgeous. Closest to "analog" coloring of all the coloring apps out there. I am always surprised not to accidentally smear the colors-- the effects are so realistic. Highly recced--after a few days with this, I just deleted the other coloring apps I'd been trying.

Don't know yet if it is a good app. App asked me to rate it in order to unlock some colors I wanted to use... :( If I want to unlock more stuff I can click "like" to "share" with my friends.

Best coloring app without a subscription. Real coloring, not touch and fill. Could use more pages but pigment, the rival wants huge amounts of money every month, so far this is the best out there.

Great with Apple Pencil. This app takes full advantage of the Apple Pencil. The addition of a color picker allows you to choose from the full range of possibilities. Zoom in on a section to color more easily. Well implemented. The drawings are lovely and am sure the will continue to add. Has become my favorite for both visual as well as technical reasons.
