Great, but weird glitch. Glitch happens when I'm playing as the police officer and I got the slowdown pills and the ready fire at about the same time. I can't move, she's stuck in the firing position, and bombs aren't falling, but power ups keep falling and the background animation is still going. power ups and dropped items don't disappear, and it's been at least five minutes and nothing has moved and I'm forced to restart the session. Thank you for this fun game!

Somewhat fun, very flawed. Success in this game is basically up to the RNG. It's usually very easy, and then sometimes you get completely trapped with no escape available. Basically, restart over and over until you get friendly levels generated late in your run. This game is good stylistically, but the gameplay is mediocre.

Crashes. Game crashes every time I load up to the start screen had the game going once then consistently crashed for maybe 5 times till o was fed up and deleted the app. Please patch crashing

A little too simple. There is a balance between games like this being not too simple so that it is entertaining. I thought if I want to play a 'boring' style game, it shouldn't have so much fire and brightness in my eyes too. I don't know, maybe I'm just weird like that.

Solid. Haven't found many games of this type recently that I want to stick with. But this one is fun - hectic and frustrating, of course, but fun. I'll keep it.

Great game but... So, I recently got the game. And it's super addictive. But it's WAY to hard. The ball things that split in 4 smaller ones when it hits the ground is way to hard to dodge especially when they keep coming with missiles falling. They end up covering Half the map and the dude isn't fast enough to get outta the way. The freeze time power ups need timers on them as well because they'll just kill me. And the special powers should destroy everything on the screen if gotten to the 3rd bar filled as with Radley I instantly died. Other than these the game is good with the exception of it freezing once.

Great App!. This app is really great and fun. However, there is a few bugs: 1. When you fill up the energy bar more than once but not quite twice and use your power up, it resets the bar back to zero instead of staying filled up because of the second time filling it(might not be a glitch) 2. Also, it once gave me a invalid rotation error when I went to the home screen and back again. 3. Also the Game Center won't work. Other than that, it could tell you that to use power up lv. 2 you have to fill up the bar twice, but it's still a great and really fun app!

Two accessibility suggestions. I love the game for many for many of the same reasons others have shared. I didn't mind spending a little to get a boost (just noting this to say I felt invested enough to spend something). Suggestions: 1) High contast background - I don't have low vision but an option to make the background a flat neutral color or fade it will go a long way for everyone. Those glowing shots are a nightmare to track. 2) Double tap Glissant slide - Swiping down to slide feels really awkward. It would be much easier to perform with a simple double tap on the left or right. (Also, I'm having a hard time understanding Glissant. Is he supposed to be a "hard mode" character? I get the vibe that it's for players who want to focus on skill alone. However the slide is only good in very very niche situations given how important precise movement is. If that's what you were shooting for, yay? I'm still trying to get his video D:)

Great Game!!!. Honestly I don't see anything wrong about this game, it's hard it's fun it's consistent it's everything I want in a game it's just plain great if your reading this because your thinking about getting it, than congradulations you found the best free game on the AppStore! You should really get this game.

Good time killer. The game is really well build. With its quirky music and game mechanics, it’s a good time killer. But the lack of items, characters, stages and story really hurt the game for me. Would have loved if there were more tapes to continue the “story”. More items would also be good and more stages. Overall, it’s a really good game that’s going to keep you entertained for some time, but after that you’ll find it boring and repetitive.

A BLAST!. This game is a lot of fun. It's unique in the way it plays out. Lots of power ups easily attainable if you have a little patience. I hope they come up with more areas..the alley and football field are all I know of.

Not restoring no ads purchase. I verified that I made the purchase a few years ago and upon reinstalling it and restoring purchases, I’m still presented with ads and ad related options. The game is a ton of fun and worth the cost to remove ads but currently the fraudulent no ads purchase is very problematic.

Ultimate briefcase. It’s a really fun game!

2 suggestions. 1. Make the briefcase selectable by pressing left and right simultaneously. Fishing around for the button breaks flow. 2. Make it possible to skip the briefcase animation by tapping the screen. This animation is way to slow and sacrifices gameplay for cinematic aesthetics. But if you can skip it that shouldn't matter. Without these two easy control fixes the titular gameplay mechanic is more trouble to use than it's worth. Great music and pacing, and the videotape-incentive to learn the backstory is a fantastic idea and implemented well. I wonder if there are any areas after waterworks. Having that as the last stage is a bit anticlimactic if indeed that's the end.

8-BIT GOALS. Oh man, the 8-bit in this is absolutely gorgeous. I'm trying to get into that sort of art style / animation myself, so this is REALLY inspiring for me! No other IOS game pulls off this sort of style. Of course, the game is simple and I've only survived 1:00 in the timespan of having it for 10 or 20 minutes, so I still have a lot to learn about concerning the mechanics of this! I do admit that getting coins is sort of hard, so its difficult to get new characters if you don't put a lot of time and skill into this game. Unless you pay. That's always an option. 👍 Good job guys, I'm looking forward to more retro goodness in the future!

Super swell game. this is a cute little game you got here and it could be better if you could increase the drop rate of coins and energy balls and if you could add stuffed animals to the mix and a boss would be really great

ultimate briefcase - review. when I downloaded this game, I expected it to be a game that I would get disinterested in after a short period time. however, this is not the case. Nitrome is at it again with Ultimate Briefcase. this is a fun game about a businessman trying to escape a bomb shower, using his, in this situation, useless briefcase for cover. this game is the best of both worlds. it can be a game I can pick up and play for a little bit, and then put back down. however, with the playability of Ultimate Briefcase, it can also be a game that I can play for very long periods of time. I would recommend this game to anybody looking for a good game to just have some fun with. the only reason that this isn't a 5 star game is because of a slight glitch on the very top of the screen, just being a little line. it's not interfering with the gaming, though. if that is fixed, this game will be 5 stars for sure. ~ Nathan

Good game but problem. I had a lot of fun grinding out and getting everything for this game but now that I'm done with it I want to delete it. When I try to delete it my phone freezes and crashes.

Great Game Overall. •easy to unlock all items/characters for free (it takes time for everything, but nothing crazy excluding the last heart which is difficult but not essential) •great pixel graphics •no lag, if you don't like ads just turn off your wifi •very addicting, music never gets old •downside: once you have all characters at max level, all items and the stages it gets boring. You will get up to 6 minutes surviving and then get bored and set it aside until the next update. •suggestions: add more characters and maybe add stages where you can jump onto platforms and stuff?

Solid Arcade Game!. Another solid entry by Nitrome! Could use a few tweaks, but otherwise it's quite an enjoyable little time waster. :) Pros: -Simple, solid controls -Cute art design -Fun gameplay Cons: -Money is quite hard to earn. This almost forces players to pay real cash for the virtual coins. This leaves a pretty bad taste of the game in the player's mouth. Would recommend having an option to double coin earnings at the end of a round by watching an ad. Also, replace the coin buying option with a $5 remove ads option. These options would still benefit the company and would keep people playing longer. -Game difficulty jumps too quickly. I've been playing games since I was six and even I can only get about two minutes into a level before there's just too many bombs falling to be able to avoid. I noticed that there seems to be other levels you can unlock by playing longer. I imagine most players will never see those levels do to the difficulty spike being this intense.

What the heck. Bruh I just noticed that the slow down power up is actually a pill or drug, that makes everything seem slower. This is not a complaint. I’m just saying that I love the effect and the power up please don’t change it.

Will be 5 stars. Fantastic little game, as is usual for Nitrome. But, I'm a bit disappointed. I payed for the 5k coins in support (and wanted to get all characters and power-ups), but that didn't automatically remove the ads. Then I noticed the seperate IAP to remove ads for $4....?! It's not the money but the principle that I have an issue with. If I'm spending more than the IAP that removes the ads, that should remove the ads automatically. Come on guys and gals, I love and support all your games, but this is a low blow. I hope the game is updated to remove ads for those of us that already bought an IAP.

Skadoosh!. Is been years that I have my Apple account and I never had rate any game or app...is so freaking addictive that I have to play almost all day 😂! The only thing that I would do, is increasing randomness that health fall from sky, still great game. Keep adding stages, characters and miscellaneous!!!!👌🏽👍

Great Game Better Advertisement Strategy. This game is fun, clever, and well polished. On top of that the advertisements are done in such a way as to be optional, as is the option to buy coins. These are the basic to create any non frustrating game. I just wanted to give my praise on their choice of where to include ads.

Excellent to a point. Nitrome and Quite Fresh have got a very entertaining time washer here. I play this game all the time whenever free time pops up. I can't get over how beautiful the sprite animation looks, and for free to play game this gives you a lot to work with, anyone who could complain about how it takes too long to obtain items is just spoiled IMO. However, while we're on the subject of complaints, here are a few glitches that our little annoyances in the game. In landscape mode, the button to activate your super meter totally covers the character and you can't see obstacles in his way like fire. Sometimes when you have three hearts and you lose one the next hit kills you sometimes, on the same note sometimes you collect health and the bombs still kill you on one hit. Other than that you have a really great game here and I am going to keep playing regardless of these glitches because I know that you'll fix them eventually... thank you guys for making this game.

Fix needed. This is a great little game, and thoroughly enjoyable. The little story that plays out in cutscenes as pieces are unlocked is simple but delightful. One fixed needed: the latest update said that landscape mode was fixed, but it is not. The button for your ultimate ability blocks the view of your character and the ground, making it hard to avoid obstacles. It really hinders landscape mode, yet this game is much better played in landscape. Looking forward to the fix!

Underated. Great game and excellent graphics. Time killer

Thought it was good until.... I thought it was good until I died, it keeps crashing every time I die. I'm hoping you can fix this.

The game freezes. 2 things: 1) don't buy an extra life to continue, the game cheats if there is an obstacle on the respawning point and it WILL kill you before you have the chance to do anything 2) I don't know if it is just me, but if you leave the game for any reason, when you return to it, it will freeze and crash 2 seconds later (In my case, I was playing the game when my sister called me… after the conversation ended, I returned to the game only to find that I couldn't do anything)

This is why penguins should own phones. I "beat" the game before I even went past the first level. Way to quick of a game to collect everything and there is no closure to the story. Just simply repeating the same levels in an infinite loop until the screen is so full of stuff you can't see. One problem I have is when you get a difficulty down it doesn't actually lower the difficulty so it's essentially renders one characters super skill worthless. Anyone complaining about the items/characters being to hard to get should honestly stop playing games in general. Anyone complaining about loosing two hearts to one bomb should take note that the bigger bombs do two hearts worth of damage and is not a glitch.

Meh!. NOT impressed. Running to avoid bombs dropping from the sky?! Who thought of this...someone from a war-torn country? Ridiculous.

Great game, but there is a problem. I really like this game, the art is awesome, and I like the whole deal of it. After like 10 minute after closing the game, I opened it back up and got a "fatale error" some sort of huge error, it then closed the game and wouldn't let me play, and I lost all my data, try to fix this problem.

I like the game, but.... For some reason, I can't even get the game to start up. After awhile, the game crashes for no reason. I've played the game, but after 3 or so total plays, it crashes and I can't play it again forcing me to delete the game and reinstall it just for the game to crash again after the same amount of tries.

Awesome!. I love this game! It is very fun and addictive. It is probably my new favorite app ever (no joke). The only thing is that when I watch an ad to respond the game tends to freeze 40% of the time. Anyway this is awesome and I'd recommend it to anyone!😄

AMAZING. This is an awesome little game that will keep you playing for hours. It has story behind it and its graphics are just plain adorable. I love this game recommend to all. Oh and there is this one glitch where I open the game and it says: error loading Sprite and it crashes. But other than that it's amazing.

NEEDS FIXING!. this app is terrible. everytime I opem the app is comes up with a message saying "fatal error" and the app closes and it goes back to the home screen. This is VERY irritating. I've tried deleting the app and re-installing it and does not work -.- Im very disapointed because it looks like a fun game.

Not enough content. Great, cute concept - easy to learn, fun to master - but guys. Need more content. That was too easy to do in the space a few bus rides! I was expecting at least ten fun, original level designs, and a way larger roster of characters! Come on!!!

Epic Fun. This game is so fun with a lot to it, once you start getting the parts of the story. There is the occasional fatal error that will appear if you try to open the game but DON'T WORRY! Just close the game, turn off the wi-fi on your device and try to open the game again. It works for me every time. Hope this helps.

Amazing. I honestly really love this game, it's a great way to kill time. For people who are complaining that it's too hard, let me tell you: it's not, you just have either- terrible reflexes or a rage quit attitude. Would not recommend. Game has poor rewarding structure coupled with heavy load of ads. It also features poor gameplay mechanics. While fun when starting, it will quickly start to get frustrating due to the cluster bombs.

Nitrome!. This game is amazingly fun. The graphics are great and the game is almost perfect. On my iphone 6 there seems to be a tiny horizontal line on the very top of the screen. The colors of the blue background and buttons don't match

Fun but too hard!. This game has a lot of potential...but it is way too hard! I have been playing for days and I have only once passed the first level with the RPG letters! The first level should be a little easier and then progressively get harder. Think I might delete this game, haven't decided yet.

Platforming/Bullet-Hell Goodness!. TL;DR This is a game you really should play if you love chiptune music, retro graphics, and bullet-hell gameplay. Long Review First off, let me start with one major thing: This game has never crashed on me. Not once. This is already the mark of a great game, if you ask me. At first, I didn't think this game would be good, because of its low reviews. However, I soon realized that this game was one of the greatest apps I have ever played! STORY Look, if you're searching for a game with a compelling story, you won't get it here. The plot is simple and to the point, but still engaging enough to immerse you into the game. GAMEPLAY If you are looking for a new bullet-hell to play, look no further! With its tight controls and randomized bomb patterns, it quickly becomes an addictive game. I must say, it takes a little too long to collect coins, though. MUSIC This has some of the greatest music I have ever heard from an app, period. Paid or free. This says a lot, and if you're not in it for the story or gameplay, stay for the music. It's fantastic, even up to the death jingle. *Please come out with the game soundtrack, I will gladly buy it 🙃 GRAPHICS I have desperately been looking for a decent game with pixel graphics, so they can give the kind of retro feel. This turned out to be just that, with smooth animations and little snippets of cutscenes before gameplay. CONCLUSION Fantastic work, devs! You really should get more recognition for this game. And to you, the app downloader-even if none of this intrigues you, just play it once. You can always delete it, but I am almost certain you will want to keep it. Thanks for your time!

Great game but no iCloud sync. Great addictive arcade game! My biggest complaint is the lack of iCloud sync of progress to play on iPad at home then iPhone when commuting.

Cute, fun, has potential. I enjoy this game! The mechanics are easy to figure out and use. The opening scene wasn't explained at all, but beyond that, the game itself is fun to play. One thing I recommend is level/scene change. I get tired of the same scenery/level each time. I also wonder how to progress in the game, if at all possible? I love the music, ease of controls, and simplicity. Things to consider changing would be levels, more ground to run on, and more power-ups. Fun game! Keep it up.

Fix it!!!. This is a ton of fun but it has a major issue with the programming. Every time I enter the app it crashes with the warning that some sprites have been removed.

Fix the cross promo ad glitch/bug. The game is unplayable at the moment because it closes out every time an error message occurs saying "failure" or "unable to show cross promo." Fixable by reinstalling app but progress is lost.

I unlocked everything in one day (took like 6 hours) I think if you do add new characters then you should add that Robber guy, and a robot. Game completely ruined by IAP. Graphics are awesome and gameplay has potential, but IAP destroyed this game. Either pay money or wait 25 seconds to play another round. So many other games have done by a job implement Ling IAP. Would have made sense to show ads after 5 rounds. Don't waste your time to download this.

Awesome game; major bug. I love nitrome. Their games are so fun. This one would be awesome if it didn't exit the game every time I died. It would get a much higher rating. The update made it so I can play it but it still exits after every death. I am playing on an iPhone 5s

Fatal error. There is a notification whenever I play the game saying Fatal Error then it crashes

Boring. Not worth your time

Need to fix resolution. I have an iPhone 6 and the resolution is buggy. The very top of the screen has weird colored lines. When I turn Phone sideways, all of the buttons are off the screen. Fun game, just fix resolution.

Fun. Fun game to play on the toilet, but freezes sometimes.

Short enjoyment and crashed. Really enjoy it for a brief period until crashes. Reinstall it but same experience.

Bad. Extremely laggy and boring, doesn't give you the feeling that anything new is happening and is all to familiar.

Fatal Error Number 1?. The game is broken, got stuck at animated start screen, then eventually showed me a fatal error notification and force quit. I wish it worked though, I will wait for it to be fixed, simple and satisfying for what I did get to try

Fatal Error. This needs to be fixed soon. I open the game once after installing and play it. After I close it and come back I am greeted with a fatal error and am unable to play. Have to uninstall and reinstall just to get it to work one time. -_-

Crashes (iPod5). Start the game then this error screen pops up and when you press [ok] it crashes and sends me to the home screen rlly fun game besides that issue

Best game on the App Store. Love this game love nitrome if you don't have this game you are crazy.

Great game. But, once you download it and go back in the app, it crashes. "Error in nation 1"

Good Game but.... Every time I try to boot up this game now I get a fatal error and it says it's missing an object called like cross platform or something. Please fix this. But great job so far!
