Not up to nitrome's standard. It's a game with way to few mechanics to be interesting designed to gouge you with adds. Even after paying to remove adds the mechanic is optimized around watching adds to play the game. 5 coins for a life, or 3 for an add. You can play infinite mode for more lives, but then when you die it doesn't have a retry button, you can watch an add though, or hit the X go back and then try again.

Good game. Great game when you use endless to get the lives instead of adds.

Why, Nitrome?. Usually I'm with you on all your releases (and I 100% every single one of your games), but man, this one? This one's got problems. Which problems in particular? First of all, this game isn't easy. And I'm sure you know that. It is incredibly frustrating. Add that with the lack of unlimited lives and the barrage of ads. Also, the use of coins to buy lives. Or the alternative to just watch an ad- which I'm sure you know users will do... bad mix, guys. Sure, you threw in Endless mode- but come on... please don't do this with every game. I don't want to lose another developer to this nonsense. I do want to add though: the menu music, it sounds familiar, is that Tipper I hear? Reminds me of a song I've heard in True Detective. Cool.

Kinda Disappointing :(. I love Nitrome and they are probably my favorite mobile app developer, but this game has bad controls, a lot of ads, and a disappointing mission mode. You die 4 times, and then you have to wait, and if you don't want to wait, then you have to give up 5 coins for 1 try. I'm giving it 3 stars because the unlimited lives mode is partially fun. I don't really recommend this game, but if you want some of Nitrome's best, get Endless Doves, Platform Panic, or even Cooped Up.

Nitrome has 2 categories of games. Nitrome seems to make two types of games. Super good, detailed, fun games like Ice Breaker. And quickly made, ad-overloaded, frustrating ones like this. I get the point, but you don't have any control in the air so it's a guessing game of which angle of the pogo stick will get you where you want to go. Turns out it's not fun.

Limited lives?. You just figure out how to play and then suddenly you are out of lives. I didn't make it past the third jump before running out of lives.

Very cool. This game is very innovated... Can't agree with the bad reviews. I'd recommend it.

Get Used to the Controls First. Please. Anyone complaining about the controls... I felt exactly the same way. I played the game for another 30 minutes and the lightbulb eventually came on. I still don't quite see the point in the level system, as the endless mode seems to be where it's at, as it follows a similar scheme as 'Vault', but the levels defiantly are way more varied in hazards and such. I do agree, the ads are much more present in such a game as 'Vault'. Overall it's not their best of coarse, but I really implore you give it a chance!

GOOD JOB. this game is so cool! I play it all day! It's hard though. But that makes it more fun! If it was easy, then it would be boring.

So much for 'Great Developers'... Reading some reviews, the developers seem to have been good with other games... But this is the first one I've ever tried from the developers. I won't be trying other games from these guys, because this one was horrible. The adjusting controls for direction were impossible to have a learning curve to, as it seemed to change every other time. Also, the campaign mode requires lives? Is this candy crush now? I found it a bit stupid you'd have to do an endless mode in order to get more lives as well, it's a bit of a good idea but it was hard enough to get passed three jumps already. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.

Could Be Better. This game is amazing, but I really don't like the fact that there are lives. And you cant even gain them back through waiting, neither. You need to pay 5 coins (which you can only get in game, or by paying) or watching an ad. Also, the fact that there is an ad every 2 tries is B.S. The only thing this game has going for it is the music. Bad game, Nitrome. You could do better than this. Maybe you can remove this in an update.

GoPogoGo!. I came into this expecting a crappy, free Nitrome game, but I really like the blend of difficulty and gameplay... It really is a plesant experience, I definitely recommend to at least try it out!

GOOD GAME BUT NO UNLIMITED LIVES. Fun and challenging but you don't have an unlimited amount of lives. You either watch a 30 second ad or you pay a certain amount of coins. This get frustrating after a while. Please fix

Hey, this is awesome.. I was really bad at this game at first but for some reason it made me laugh everytime I died. It took a while to get good at it but it's not that hard to. Hope everybody gives it a chance like I did

Great game but a bit hard at first. So I read some reviews saying how hard this game is. It is not that bad when you get the hang of it I unlocked all the characters and got all coins in all the levels. But I would love to see new levels and like power ups you will find in infinite mode.

Dev... (Facepalm). Love you Nitrome but I wrote about this at length in my Vault review and now know for sure you don't care about or read reviews... STOP ADVERTISING FOR YOUR OWN GAMES WITHIN YOUR OWN GAMES ESPECIALLY WITH ADS REMOVED. When I play Beneath the Lighthouse, I get ads for... Beneath the Lighthouse!? You have FULL control over this and it's not only absurd but it comes off as (wish I could italicize) DESPERATE. Ads for games I have paid for just simply makes me regret ever giving you guys money, just a big FU to your supporters. This game itself, gushes style, love the soundtrack. I'm okay at best with the monetization... Aka if you want to make playing the level mode nearly impossible then fine, it's an endless runner. The games controls were.... Clearly not tested by a soul before the game was released or if they were, then are simply another FU to Nitrome fans as the learning curve is practically non-existent (just nearly impossible to start) I could go on but just take your 3 stars and consider yourselves lucky to get 3 cuz ILU.

Great game, a few bugs. Not sure why everyone is having a difficult time. It's not a hard game. It's not a difficult concept to master, so maybe if it's difficult for some players..well, that's probably a personal problem. The game is easy and fun. I play it all the time. It's actually the only game I've ever deleted because I beat it and then reinstalled later because it was so fun. Definitely recommend it. Its only real issues are the bugs with the achievements now (no more achievements? Not sure why) and the ads. They happen a bit too often for my liking, but it's not a deal breaker. All in all, good game.

Make a game that plays well.. The only game you made that I enjoyed was silly Sausage. It was challenging but fun. All you other games are skill related but learning curves are extremely difficult. The physics of the games are designed so you endlessly keep losing, resulting in an ad being displayed over and over again...real shady.

Fun. Guys. I love everything you make. I'm confused why people are saying the mechanics are broken or whatever. The game has a different pace. You have to be patient. It's not auto runner speed and they have to understand that. This game rocks. Rock on Nitrome.

Nitrome turns up the challenge. To state the obvious, It's free, so complaining about ads is completely ignorant if you think programming this stuff is cheap. And what a game they've programmed. It's classic Nitrome, continuing the same pace they've started since platform panic, with multiple play modes and more unlockable skins than ever. The gameplay itself can be frustrating on the campaign mode. But play enough of the endless mode (~15 min for me) and you'll have the lives to get you thru, that is if the pogo skills you've sharpened aren't enough. So go pogo! (Sorry, couldn't help it)

NITROME APP MAKERS LOOK AT THIS. This game is really fun and I like its random characters. I am writing this review because I want to say something to the people at nitrome: please make less endless games and more games with actual levels like gunbrick! The endless games like roller polar, endless doves, go pogo, rust bucket, and vault are ok but I quickly get bored of them and delete them. A game with actual levels and maybe some kind of story would be way more fun and interesting.

This game relies on ads. Whenever you fail, you waste a pogo stick, and in order to get more you have to watch an ad or collect them from other levels, no daily ones either. On top of that, every time you fail, it makes you look at an ad even if you have ad blocker.

Great game with a small problem.. Nitrome, you guys have quickly become my favorite developers! GoPogo, RollerPolar, Rust Bucket! Great games all of them! I love every bit of gameplay about GoPogo! The music is great, the platformer aspect is fantastic, the art is phenomenal! It's an incredibly fun game with the perfect amount of challenge! The ads don't bother me. What does bother me is that even though I have beaten all 40 levels, the achievement for beating level 40 is still locked... Please fix this and I'll give 5 stars.

Like, really?. The challenge in this game is great, but the developers killed my motivation to learn the game. The most lives you can have is 3 - then you watch an ad. Switching modes? Watch this ad. There's even a still shot ad thrown in for fun. That problem goes next to the lack of enough coins in a level to buy more lives at 25 coins per life. Like, really? I'm not gonna bend over & take your ads just to play your lame free game. Delete!

Definitely needs work. I can't even get the game to open. I click the app, and it freezes at the beginning where it says Nitrome. Doesn't even finish the intro, and I've closed the app out, uninstalled and reinstalled, and still doesn't work.

Just...no.. Do not buy this. You can't even regenerate lives over time. The only way to get more lives is to buy them, or watch a video, which is a lot of work just to play. Also, the game is EXTREMELY frustrating. It is hard to control. I don't even think Nitrome tested this before releasing it, that's how bad it is. Overall, it is just a bad game, do not get it.

Easy once you get the hang of it. Come on , hating cause you can't learn the controls? I had a blast with this game , got every character , beat every level with every coin , I practically have infinite lives. Slight problem with the game running slower when an ad is about to show up but everything else is so good 😄

Needs more levels. Fun and challenging game. Has an awesome aesthetic. Can't believe there's so many complaints about the difficulty. It's supposed to be a challenge! It's how games used to be and are supposed to be. Please add some new levels in the next update!

I tried.... First, I would like to say this. Nitrome makes great games. Like, really fun, high quality, stylish games with kick*ss music. If you've never played one of theirs before, give one of there other games a try. You won't regret it. If you're really on the fence, all their PC games are free to play in browser. I was playing them since elementary school, and they just keep getting better. All that said, I tried to like this one. I really did, but the learning curve for Gopogo is just way too steep. That may not be a problem if you could just hop back on the horse (or pogo stick, as the case may be) like Super Meat Boy, but you can't. In Gopogo, you die. A lot. And when you do, you are sent to a menu where you are asked to by more lives with in game currency, watch an ad (this option can only be used like three times), or quit. Now, this type of life based system can work to give your player an arcade like incentive to get better at the game, but in this case you never get a chance to practice or improve before hitting a paywall. How is anyone supposed to improve at a game if they can't even get past the third level? Do you think you could, I don't know, make survival mode ad free so players could get used to the tricky to master mechanics before taking on story mode or something?

I like it but it needs some work. Nitrome your games are awesome but this game is kinda bad you need to make it less difficult because a have played this game for two days and I can't get past level two! Plz fix this.

Crap Coalesced. Compared to Nitrome's other games, Gopogo certainly stands out. In a bad way. The controls are unpredictable. The ads are unforgivable. And to top all of that off, the 3 death rule on the main game makes the game extremely boring. It's already difficult enough with the heinous controls but add on the aspect of having to gain back lives with ads or playing the banal and trite endless mode, the game becomes a total mess. Every time you die on the endless mode, you have to watch an ad, and then return to the main menu. Do not waste your time playing this game.

Needs tuning. I've played hardly 3 mins and already out of lives, most of which were used just to figure out how to play. There's gotta be a better incentive other than its simply a new game to play. Players like to feel like they've reached some kind of goal per level. Perhaps some kind of "best time" rewards, unlocking a new character or ability. Perhaps there are such feats in this game but I will not know because I don't feel the need to "pay to play" just after learning the fundamentals. Not a great first impression, but there is potential in this game.

Extreme 48. I’ve had this game for years. Been able to get every other coin except the one above the stairs on 48. I can’t figure out how to get it. I’ve jumped off every block and I can never reach it. How??

Not a fan of how lives work here. In a level-based game, I tend to want to retry a level after failing it. In this game, nope! Gotta either watch an ad for three lives, waste hard-earned coins for one life, or play endless mode and MAYBE find some lives. I really would have preferred not having such an ill-conceived system.

Yeah. I used to play this game all the time in high school, it was pretty fun

Too many ads. This game has way too many ads. In the game you get three lives from every ad you watch but that is not enough. After you die you have to watch another ad until you get back to the game. Lower the amount of ads shown and add more live for the ads we watch like 6 not 3 because the levels are hard and made to lose a lot of lives

Needs tweaking. The mechanics of pogo jumping doesn't quite fit with the map or gameplay. You end up getting screwed over with jumps you don't want to do, simply because the range of the angles are too short. When you do end up making a bad jump, you can't save yourself a and you are bound to look at your character die knowing you can't do anything about it, costing you valuable pogos which take forever to acquire a decent amount.

Loving the update. I am wondering if it's possible to maybe change up the difficulty on infinity. Maybe more rewards in a harder version. Also, I saw a comment about something like each character having a different spray paint or action depending on the character. Maybe trump could have steam coming out every time he bounces..

Enjoyable. This game is another addicting endless game, their is a campaign but I mostly ignored it as I'm a fan of the entire endless running, hopping, etc games and in the endless mode you can pick up some pogo's that are lives in the campaign. I got a 90's rap "hip" mixed with dystopian vibe from this. I like the cartoony graphics. It does use the overdone pixel indie game style but it works here 3D/CG wouldn't have been a good choice so I'm glad with the pixel graphics. The gameplay is fun but can be a strain on the thumbs so I recommend playing it in short bursts. The ads can be annoying popping up during the end of a round but hey it is free so it is a good pay off, their is the option to remove them but it doesn't outright state the price when removing the ads. All in all a fun game I recommend to all bit of a learning curve but fun none the less,

Great. Idk why everyone's acting up about ads, I get one popup that I can skip almost instantly every 10 min. Anyway I'm a big fan of nitrome and look forward to all their games (Also if nitrome actually reads this, give us a port of steamlands of rubble trouble on iOS PLEASE)

Pop up ads the game!. Legit every 5 seconds there's a new game of war ad or some stupid matching game ad, I guess that can be kinda of a good thing tho since it masks the terrible game. And to ad on top of all that there is a life system like in a Mario game but in this one u have to whatch a 45 second ad to get three lifes. Oh and ps those 3 lifes will last you just under 1:30 minutes, so u can watch more ads. Terrible.

Perfect Game!!. This game is incredible, no bugs, lots of characters, just what I wanted. The only things I would change are the design of the panic not and I would add more challenge levels, some cool challenges would be trying to beat your best time in a time attack challenge or something like that. Something else I thought would be cool would be to have special spray paint designs in the background for each character. I hope this comment helped, overall really good game, one that I would recommend. Can't wait for more games, keep up the good work!

Seen this game before with diff title &less ads. 2 minutes in and there's a bombardment of ads, I've seen more ads in this game than I've been able to play, as soon as you die its ad time, run out of tokens? Watch ads, deleted, don't waste your time, there's very similarly repetitive games like this on iTunes that isn't going to try and trick you to click on an ad.

Token base game. Once you run out of tokens, it becomes a pain to play, you have to keep watching ads to be able to play again. Pain in the a**. Not worth it

Really Cool Game. I like this game. My first thoughts weren't very positive but now I really enjoy this game. It is easy to be successful in especially with the infinite loop system. I have purchased the wizard character before I finished level one!

That's it?. You enter the game with no tutorial and are given just 4 lives. And no, lives don't regenerate on their own, you have to spend coins or play "endless mode" to get more. Don't expect much but an endless side scroller because this design makes the story not just difficult but IMPOSSIBLE to do. You collect one life from endless, it's like "go play story mode!!" You do one try, and it's like "go play endless for more lives" and it's a really terrible design because I don't want to play the campaign one play at a time. It's not like an energy regen game is a great design but jeez it's part of what makes an IAP game playable to those of us who can't put money into every single game. I digress. Let's get into the controls. Not intuitive at all. But not impossible to figure out. They are just very clumsy and give you very little control. This could be improved upon even by the simple detail of being able to pogo in one place up and down without struggle. The random enemies are near impossible to pass without doing this, and doing this is basically impossible. You would have to spend so long trying to master these controls that the game will have lost any interest by then. It really is just, pogo with great difficulty until you fall and die, or apparently until you hit a platform at the wrong angle and get killed. There is ZERO long term playability in my opinion. It's alright for about 10 mins to see what it's about but there's really nothing there to keep a person wanting to play.
