Amazing game!. First off iv never left a review for anything in my life but since the first App Store games till now this has got to be my favorite game ever on the iOS platform. Literally am satisfied with paying for this app as it reminds me of the old days when gaming wasn't about shooting aliens in fort person view.

Simple boring platformer. Game is ok, your simple mechanic of play is all you need for entire game. Be ware of end game glitch which locks and doesnt allow you the credit of beating boss

Fun puzzle platformer. Wish it was longer, thought he was a duck from the icon.

Excellent game. Excellent game very addictive because has a good concept.. but it lags when I star the app, takes much time to show the menu.. so it needs a fix urgent please, Im using and iphone 4s and have this problem.. Thas my only complain, the rest congrats for this game Im a fan now.. I will change my stars when you fix that problem on iphone 4s.. and please make more levels I need moreeeeeeeee xD

Dat Soundtrack. Honestly, this game could get five stars on the soundtrack alone, but you also get a pretty neat and creative game to play along to the tracks! Very detailed and expressive pixel art in this one. Also, a ton of screenshake. Buy it.

I love the game, but sometime it just won't let me walk or go around in the box/brick looking thing and I can't get around I've tried to fix the problem but some of my friends are having the problem too on it so we thought about it but we still couldn't figure it out so...we think it's a glitch and that its a problem so if u can please fix this problem..

Best game on my phone. This game is the reason why I can't put my phone down. The whole entire thing keeps on making me want to play more. It is well worth the money :)

Fun game BUT awful controls and too short.. This is a pretty fun game, BUT the controls are annoying to use. I found myself frequently dying or having to restart because the game interpreted a swipe as a tap or a tap as a swipe. A D-pad option would be nice. There aren't a ton of levels, and the levels are pretty short. I would like to see more added.

I'm the first to review THIS GAME. BUY IT it's worth it. Hello there, I've been a fan of Nitrome since the original icebreakers on PC and they create great games like this game, it has great controls, also artwork but the reason I gave it 4 stars is because the title screen for the game take too long, and it randomly crashes on the iPad version. But since this game came out today I'm giving them some slack and giving Nitrome 1 star back GREAT GAME SHOULD BUY!

I <3 this game. I love this game. It seamlessly incorporates great gameplay, controls, platforming, and puzzles in one amazing package. It is one of the few games in recent memory from the AppStore that I don't regret purchasing.

Good game, a bit too short. I did enjoy this game, had to think a couple of times, but was surprised that it ended so quickly - only 3 levels. On the plus side, I did not experience any 'crashes' Summed up - descent game.

Gunbrick is perfection. Gunbrick is without a doubt the best game on the iTunes App Store. The gameplay is fantastic and puzzling at times and the soundtrack, oh my god the soundtrack is the best soundtrack I have heard in ages. It sounds like the soundtrack to a somewhat obscure game called toejam and earl. I can't express how awesome the soundtrack is. Just buy the game. It 100% deserves editors choice. 10/10

Fun!. Great little game. Unique controls that work well. Gunbrick is extremely polished like all of Nitrome's games. Wish there were more levels, though. It's a bit too easy. One major problem though is the load times when starting the game. It's incredibly slow and sometimes even crashes before you can play.

Unbelievably boring. So boring. Nice graphics mean nothing if a game just isn't fun at all. I even kept playing thinking that there must be something fun around the corner but no it wasn't there. I can't even remember playing a more boring game in my 5 1/2 years of the App Store and several hundreds of dollars worth of games. I can't believe this was featured in the AppStore. It just confirms to me that the editor's picks must be a paid advertisement in the AppStore. The editors couldn't even give the correct name of the publisher in their description of the app at the time of this review. UPDATE: Apparently somebody read my review and updated the correct name of the publisher in the app description. Unfortunately the game is still boring though.

Great platform puzzler. Nice game idea. A little short though with only 3 stages. Took about 3 hours to finish. Maybe more levels in a later update?

Awesome. It is a awesome game but the controls are crap I'm still stuck on the level where it teaches you how to use your shield because after I get past a flame I swipe to go to the next one but it shoots and I go backwards and die whenever I swipe it always shoots it's annoying I am not tapping I'm swiping even if I swipe just like it shows me I shoot please fix other then that it's awesome

Ignore the crash reviews. This is an amazing game, and I have been waiting sometime for it, since the first trailer. The graphics are like an old GBA game, but with retina support, the music fits the goofy feel of the game, and the puzzle mechanics are flawless. This is such a clever game. I haven't had boss fights that challenging in a long time, and I feel this game was worth much more than the asking price.

It's a great game and I want to play more but…. The first 2 levels that I've been able to play were very delightful and fun. But once I get to the 3rd level my game Crashes, I've tried everything that I could think of to be able to continue playing but nothing has worked. Can you please fix it or tell me what I'm doing wrong because I would really like to keep playing. Thanks 😄

Way too short for the price.. Great mechanic, but way to short. The first 12 levels are basically taken from the online version. The new mechanics are nice but there are only 2 of them.

Great concept ruined by TERRIBLE control scheme. I spent a day stuck in a spot where I needed to fire a billet and then quickly roll twice. I couldn't get the game to register tap-swipe-swipe fast enough no matter how hard I tried, so I deleted the game. What a waste of $3.

Fantastic. All of Nitrome's games are stellar. This one really stands out. It's a clever mix of puzzle/problem solving, action and quick decision making. I seldom make reviews but this definitely is worth every penny. Really hope more level packs are released as DLC (free or pay). This game rules and you will love it.

Great concept. This is a great game. It requires some thought, but not too much. The concept, the premise and the aesthetics are really tied together, and the mechanics are good. Super recommended.

This has potential. Let's beat Angry Birds with this one guys. It's totally unique. Just add a ton more levels and a score system for each level and we'll steam roll over Angry Birds in our gun bricks!

Crashes. This game is awesome but it crashes after beating the third boss. Hopefully this issue is fixed in the next update.

A wonderful and creative puzzler. Gunbrick is a puzzler at heart, as you clonk the titular brick around lively and detailed scenes. One end shoots while the opposite end is a shield, and in there lies the core gameplay loop of trying to make the brick face the direction you want to activate switches, gain lift-off and more. Each stage introduces a new challenge or mechanic, each as inventive as the last. It's heartening to see Nitrome doing wonderful, creative things in the 2D space. Highly recommended.

App does not start at all.. Nitrome, I love you and your games, but the one game I had to buy to start ended up not even running at all. This game does not run at all on my iPad Air. I have to one star this, and it hurts... I love you guys, please fix the app so I can change this review to a 5. >_<

So fun. The only thing that makes me sad is that I beat the game and I want more levels haha. Fun experience! Can't wait to hear updates about the game!

Nitrome has done it again!. Nitrome never fails to make the best games and this is no exception! The gameplay is amazing and the attention to detail and the soundtrack completes this stunning game. Each level is unique and interesting, new objects are introduced throughout to add some difficulty to each level. This game is a must-have for anyone with a mobile device!

Take some time. The game can be a bit frustrating in the beginning. But Once you figure out the controls, you will realize it's a well designed action/puzzle game. A good balance of challenging and frustratingly difficult.

Super fun, but.... Really enjoying this game so far. The only problem I've encountered is the crashes. I have an iPhone 4s, so it's not the most up to date by any means. Needless to say, that shouldn't result in inconsistent game crashes. Perhaps a future update could eliminate these?

Truly unique. A fantastic remake of an old online flash game, gun brick is a killer iOS puzzle platformer. Gun brick makes you think, something that can't be said for most games on the App Store. It's diverse environments, and constant barrage of new mechanics makes it one of the best titles I have ever played. While the gameplay is challenging, the controls are easy, intuitive, and quick to grasp, which is essential in a game where one false move sets you back to the beginning of a multi-stage puzzle. Some people may complain about difficulty, but really the challenge makes you step away for a while and think about how to solve the task at hand. My only complaint, if any, is the length. With 3 quick worlds, I burned through the game in under a few days with heavy play. More levels are on the way though thankfully. Oh and it's gorgeous too, so you should stop reading reviews and just spend the money, you'll like it.

Where are more levels.....?. This game is as addicting as anything, but in a great way, not the clash of clans spend your life savings kind of way. However, we need more levels or gunbrick2 give us something.....

CRASHES. The app is extremely slow loading. I can only play till level 3 and it crashes as soon as I finish the level. If I try and go back in the app just crashes every time. PLEASE FIX. I'm running it on iOS 8.2 and I'm on a original iPad mini.

Bad game. I'm sorry but this has to be a better topic, this was a waste of money and now I want money back so I'm leaving it down to the rest of the customers to see what better games are out there

ATTENTION: It doesn't work on the iPad Mini 2. Just FYI for everyone. The game doesn't work on the iPad Mini 2. You can't finish the first level. I tested it on an iPad 2, iPad Air, and my iPhone 5 and it works perfectly on them. I'll message the developer so hopefully they can fix this issue. The graphics are great in a very nice pixel art style. Great music and sound effects.

Good game, bad controls. This is a great, fun game, with a very unique plot and premiss. The only complaint is that the controls are crap. All though I have beaten the game already, it was very difficult with these controls. If I may suggest, don't make it a swipe to move, tap to shoot. Often you will try to swipe to move, but it will shoot causing you to fall off of the platform. But instead have a move right button and a move left button both on the lower left side of the screen, and then have a shoot button on the lower right side of the screen. I hope that you take my suggestion in to consideration. Thanks for a great game. And keep up the good work.

Boring, redundant, waste of money. Like the title says, this game is awful. It's boring and is not fun at all. Do not mistake this for a "so hard I hate it" like flappy bird type of game. This is a "so boring, I feel nauseous" type of game. I am quite angry that Apple featured this on editors choice for $2.99. I don't think I would play it even if they pay ME the money. Highly disappointed in Apple for directing this terrible game to its users.

Love your games, but crashing.. I love your website and the games you make. It's a great place to go when you're bored. I bought this game because i love the Gunbrick icon game on your site, and it was pretty good until level three. I don't know if it's my ipad or the game, but whenever i load level three, the game crashes. It might be a bug. But besides that, good game so far!

Fun mobile first game. This is the first platform game I've played that's clearly been designed for mobile phones. Maybe it's the sound of the cube moving which is the door switching sound for DooM... it's got me all nostalgic

I can't even play it. I have anted to play this game forever but I don't have money cause I'm poor😄 but for Christmas one of my presents was a iTunes card and so I got this app but when I open it all it gets to is the start menu then it's freezes and I have an iPad Air 2 aswell so it's not old technology.

Not worth it. It looks like the game is worth it but I could buy way more games that are so much better

"Big Glitch level 4". I gave the game 2 stars because there's a issue in level 4. Seems 1-3 is perfect but on level 4 when you drop into that hole with "construction" pylons there's no way of getting out. You can't ask for help like in other games and my only conclusion its a glitch or design flaw. iTunes doesn't give refunds so I cat even give the game back. Please fix this issue or help buttons if there's nothing wrong with the game.

Honestly The Best Game I've Ever Played on iOS. -Amazing Level Design -Challenging moments that make you think. -Interesting movement mechanic that is fresh and innovative -great design -actually made me feel the nostalgia of playing Sonic on the old SEGA mastersystem So many games have "pixel art" but this one actually had soul.. Just Black Screen & Background Music. Useless. Looks good based on the sample video but it won't play on my iPhone 5, just black screen and music! Just a waste of money. I'll rate it again (hopefully more favorable) if they will fix the problem and can be played on my phone.

Doesn't load. iPhone 4S iOS 7.1.2 11D257 Intro screen, loading screen, app crashes. This occurred every attempt to load the app. Hard reset, powered down iPhone. App continues to crash.

No problems. Game plays smooth on my iPhone 6+. Zero crashes. The game is fun, clever and unique. My only gripe would be the length of the game. There are 3 parts with around 14 levels each. Not a lot of replayability, but there is a decent amount of content. Worth the price of admission.

Puzzlin action. It's mostly a puzzle game but feels a lot like a side scroller. Super fun design and infinite attention to detail make this a joy to play. Great work! Now that I've finished I'm bumping my rating to 5 stars. This is a great game. More levels please!

Crashes on IPod 4th Gen. I have an iPod 4 and whenever I try to turn it on it first crashes at the loading screen then when I start the app again it makes it to the end of the cutscene but it never gets past that. It loads fine on my brothers iPod 5 but not for me. Nitrome, please actually fix this and not just change it an say IPod 4th gen not supported or say that it only works for IOS 7+ or something like that because if you do I would have just wasted my money on a game I can't play.

Great. It is a great GBA-style game with amazing puzzle mechanics but the first boss is hard as crap poop balls of fire. I get the two shots on the panels and then he starts rapid fire spamming it and I can figure out how to beat it... Other than this the game is great! NITROME congrats guys ;)
