Keep loosing blue-tooth signal. Love the concept! Just waiting for a few more "updates" for the app to improve/stabilize the blue tooth connectivity and it will be an awesome product!

POS. Doesn't connect to Bluetooth!

Don't buy software crashes!. I bought this bulb from target thinks it would be a fun novelty however the bulb doesn't change color and the app crashes. Don't buy it!!!!

Blue tooth won't connect.. Worked great (once the blue tooth connected) for the first couple weeks. Now the blue tooth connects, but the app won't connect. Expensive regular light bulb. 😤

Music solution. To play your music just connect through your Bluetooth setting like you're connecting to a regular speaker and change colors through app.

Glad this was on sale at Kroger.... What an absolute piece of garbage. It connected maybe twice for a few minutes out of my 50 attempts. It also randomly turned on in the middle of the night playing this ridiculous noise. #fail

Fun novelty. Got this bulb as a Christmas present. The first one I had, the green didn't work. After I got a new one, I couldn't get the music to work. After I connected the Bluetooth through my iPhone settings, I was able to get sound to play. The speaker seems to be as good as I expected. (Decent) The controls seem to need some more work. No music song search, or play lists. Would like to see some color save options. The app it self seems to crash now and then or just freeze. I also seem to get two connect options when connecting to the light. One in English, and one in Chinese.

Cannot connect. I was able to connect the music via phone Bluetooth in my phone settings. But I cannot control the light on the app. When trying to connect all the names are written in Chinese or something. Waste of 20.00. Will return. Cannot change the colors.

!!!!!DOES NOT WORK!!!!!. Picked up 3 of these. Have had them for months now and I have never been able to get one to work for more than a few minutes - and then only after untold attempts trying to connect. Very frustrating and apparently NO effort by the developer to fix. In fact, I'm not sure there is any intent to correct this or that the developer cares as it seems there was not much effort given to make/translate this app to the English speaking market - the language on the connect screen is barely discernible as English. "Buyer beware" should be on the packing for the bulb- but since the bulb packaging is done so much better, then, like me, most won't know until it is too late. I now have 3 useless (expensive) bulbs; yes "useless" because the bulbs themselves will beep loudly periodically as if they are awaiting Bluetooth pairing!!!

My impressions. Product is fun and app is simple. App could improve if color change speeds, fading, and simple patterns between two to 4 colors was available. It would also be nice to see the color changes in real time as I'm moving the cursor. Physical change suggestion would be a speaker with better response and the addition of a 3pole mini jack for external devices. Other than that great product for the price.

Not worth it. The box and the app both say it works on multiple devices including iPhone, iPad, and computer. However, there is no app available for iPad and so you can't control it with IPad. The iPhone app sort of works. The light turns off and on and it plays some of the songs I have, but only about 1 in 10. Says "can't play song" with the rest. So even as a Bluetooth speaker it is not worth it.

Issues. I just bought the light bulb and its having troubles connecting to the Bluetooth and when it does connect it only controls the light and suggestions on how to fix it?

App is Useless. I was really excited about this and even raved to my friends about it and convinced them to buy the bulbs. I can't get the Bluetooth to connect, or when I do, to stay connected. I mean without the Bluetooth functionality, it's just a light that you switch on and off and those don't cost $20 a pop. Save your money until they get the connectivity sorted.

Drops WiFi Signal. Everything works great. Light changes to any color, and it plays music through the bulb which is really cool. It also will change color and flashbacks a strobe light if you have it on auto with music on. But when I'm just sitting without music and I have the light on I here a loud click a couple of times a minute. If it lost signal once or twice a night I could understand but this is ridiculous when I'm trying to watch TV or read. I'm putting it my kids room as he will enjoy it. The clicking is just so annoying.

Works on Android. Found one of these bulbs at the Gfs house. The iOS version is a dud. Only music will play but you don't need the app for that. The Android apps work perfectly though. My iPhone 7 got no where while my Insignia tablet worked flawlessly with the app.

Functional but.... I just bought this bulb, my Bluetooth booted up fine and the light worked, two things are disappointing about this product... 1. The music just flat out doesn't work... And 2, this bulb has the worlds most annoying sound when you turn it on, and even worse, there is no way to turn it off that I could find

Constantly crashes. This app constantly crashes when trying to connect to the bulb to change the color. The Bluetooth music works wonderfully though.

Quits working after a few uses. Something is wrong with the Bluetooth portion of the music. I notice it wants to connect as headset rather than spectrabulb as when you first use it. But another brand and save your money.

Overall a good product for the price. Speaker is decent, nothing fabulous. Fully functional. The app is good for turning the bulb on and off, or changing the color. If you want to use the speaker - manage the Bluetooth connection in your phone settings and then use your music player/Pandora/podcasts etc.

Play the music from your actual player. I realized that to play the music don't use the app itself. Use your actual player on your iPhone. Use the app just for the lights. Easy.

FRUSTRATING & UNRELIABLE. NOT a user friendly app. I have 3 bulbs. Using my own Bluetooth settings, I can usually easily connect for music. HOWEVER, changing the lamp color?! Forget it. More than half the time this app can't find at least one of my bulbs (even after I disconnect it from my Bluetooth settings), and I *always* see WAY more options to connect to items titled in Chinese than I do my own bulbs. (With great regret, I don't understand Chinese yet.) I renamed my third bulb, and I can honestly say I've NEVER seen it listed as such. I didn't use special characters or anything fancy, but I've since learned that the blank titled option is the 3rd bulb, though I RARELY see it. Doesn't matter if I'm 5 feet from it or 5 inches. It's rarely available. I'm not one to ever write reviews, especially even bad ones, but I'm hoping these glitches get fixed. I love the bulbs themselves, **when they work as expected through the app**. My iOS is always up to date, I try to make everything as simple as possible, and I'm a very clever problem solver. This app just simply isn't user friendly at this time. (Nov 2016)

SpectraSound LED Bulb & Speaker. Highly disappointed with this product. I can control the light portion of it but I cannot get the music to play. It has some sort of message to play it with ITunes. I hope they update this quick or it's back to Target I go to return this broken product.

music will not play. we've tried from multiple devices and continually get the message "unable to play music" with no further explanation for the reason why. there, of course, is no website, support or any resource for troubleshooting so this was basically a complete waste of money.

Tbh.... Tbh I have no idea what I’m doing, and it’s very slow. So it won’t even let me change the color. I say don’t get the product

Drops Bluetooth connection!. Far too difficult to get successful Bluetooth Connection. However, once established it will invariably drop connection sometime through the night. I wake up to music from the alarm on my iPhone. Music plays through speaker just fine. But, before it's my time to get up, the Bluetooth connection will have been lost, therefore all I hear is the lame little low volume from my iPhone's speakers! With a fix for this issue I would quickly give the product a 5 star rating!

What the heck. I can't play any of my music in my iTunes. The app says that my music is unable to play. Can you fix it?

Love this bulb!. I got one of these light bulbs about a year or so ago, and lemme tell you it’s great! I use it all the time and it still works flawlessly. I love the changing colors features and the option to turn the light off while it still being able to be active like play music and stuff. It’s very useful for me, making videos in different colors, which will stay even after I disconnect. Love this light. My only request at least would be to modernize the app a bit. It works just fine but modernizing it’s style would be nice. :)

Music function doesn't work. I got the bulb specifically to play music with the bulb, but the music function doesn't work. I can control the light as far as on/off, colors and brightness, but when I try to play music it just plays through my phone. My phone did that already without the app. Also, the app just lists all music alphabetically, no search function. I'd like to give them a chance to fix the app, but if it doesn't happen this week I'll probably just return the product.

Fail.. On the rare occasion that the app works, it works well enough. Otherwise all you have is a very expensive white LED bulb.

Not what I thought, but still nifty.. It's nice to be able to turn on my light from bed, or outside my room. I also enjoy that the colors can be adjusted. However, I was most excited about the speaker. I love listening to podcasts, and the speaker would be so nice...however, I can't connect connect the podcasts to the speaker.

Music Nil. Bummer! I bought this bulb to cheer up guests as they were welcomed into my house. No music and no cheer to be had. Please fix and help keep spirits high.

Never buy 😡. I was happy for getting a magic light.Also it took 4 hours so it can find the Bluetooth connection😡

Will not connect and app crashes. Basically I have a $20 lightbulb that doesn't do anything

Can’t get it to work. I’ve connected Bluetooth on my device. It shows connected. But with I open the app it keeps saying “hint: connect Bluetooth.” No available support

Disappointment. Drops Bluetooth connection. Have followed instructions carefully and tried several times. Have concluded it just DOES NOT WORK. If you're really tempted to get this I suggest you pick one up at the beginning of your shopping trip, put it in the cart or basket, and push it around the store. When it's time to check out, take it out of the basket and set it down. You will have had the same experience as if you had purchased the darn thing AND saved the money. If you're shopping online I guess you're SOL.

Can't play music?!. I just recently got the bulb and connected it and everything but when I tried to play music it either would have a pop up saying "unable to play music" or it would play through my phone.. I am going to return this if they don't fix this VERY soon... I'm frustrated!!

Hated it....at 1st. After reading the reviews posted here, and seeing that I myself could not connect music to it,I was ready to throw in the trash. Then I figured out that you need to have your phone (or other devices) Bluetooth connected to the bulb AND the app connected through Bluetooth for the audio to work through the bulb. Hope this helps.

Eh. It works for a lil while but now my light can only be white or green

Do not buy!!!!!!!. I purchased this bulb from Target and after several attempts to get it to work I was only able to play music through it. The app always crashes. This piece of junk is going in the trash.

Half works. Worked well for a few weeks but now plays music successfully but claims "Bluetooth not connected" when attempting to change light color or brightness.

Doesn't work >,<. I tried for 3 hours to get the connection to work all I says is not connected I need an update that makes this product work !!!!

Okayish?. Can’t get it to play music. The bulb worked fine. Must be in same room to get Bluetooth to connect.

12/2/15. Everything works fine but the music. It just plays on the phone still. Don't know if it's the app or what? Please fix asap
