Hidden Fees. The app takes the photos that you put in and then holds you on a paywall. The app does not let you remove your photos whatsoever and forces you to either pay for a weekly subscription or delete the app. Absolutely ridiculous. Put the fee first before people upload photos of themselves or their friends.

App quality. Really inaccurate data. Submitted same photo’s multiple times and different number each time and decently far off from each other. Does work from a very surface level analysis, like face shape and eyebrows, but don’t expect too much in terms of depth. Dont recommend for the subscription model

Terrible App Experience. I recently downloaded umax with high hopes, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment. Where do I even begin? First off, the interface is clunky and outdated, making navigation a headache. It feels like I’ve been transported back to the early 2000s. But wait, it gets worse. The app constantly crashes, leaving me frustrated and unable to complete even the simplest tasks. And don’t even get me started on the customer support – nonexistent would be an understatement. I tried reaching out for help with a technical issue, but it was like shouting into the void. To top it all off, the promised features barely work, if at all. I might as well have flushed my time and data down the drain by downloading this app. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of Umax. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Takes forever to scan even after paying for the subscription. I redeemed my free scans after sharing referrals and the scan failed. So I paid for the subscription took another selfie and waited 30 mins for the scan to stop at 91% forever. Closed the app and restarted and the scan started with 1% taking forever to go up. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS STUPID APP ITS FAKE.

refund. I like the app, i’ve used it and it’s helped. I have not used this app for more than a month and it charged me unwillingly, i forgot my subscription was still going, regardless i would like my refund for it please.

Charged me a subscription when it was cancelled already. Like everyone else has said, this app is a cheap cash grab. The tips are so basic you can find better advice on an instagram reel or tiktok. My big problem was cancelling my membership and still being charged the fee after I’ve cancelled!

$4 for every 20 second review?. The app is decent overall, but if you want to do more than ONE scan, then reach back into your wallet. I just go scammed? Someone reach out.. So I purchased for my face to be scanned and it told me to wait 2 minutes for my analysis. Crazy price. 4 bucks a week and they only let you take a picture every week. 4 dollars for each picture… if you could take multiple photos one after another, I’d say this app would be worth it. But 4 dollars a photo is absolutely outrageous.

Doesn’t work. Download is free but you have to pay 3.99 a week or invite 3 friends for the app to actually work. I invited friends and it didn’t work, basically forcing me to pay, whcih I refuse because such an app can’t be very accurate anyway, I just downloaded for fun. If sharing doesn’t work unless they download the app, that should’ve been clear from the start. The app is a scam and I’ll be deleting it.

The Original and Best Face Scan. This app offers the most technically advanced face scan with high accuracy and great recommendations. They constantly add new features. Dont fall for look alikes this is the real deal.

Inaccurate. I was given high scores overall. 84 potential. The analysis is what I had a problem with. I have extremely narrow eyes (like Asians) and was analyzed as “round eyes”. I checked the pictures I uploaded and my eyes did not appear round at all. I have tested my face shape multiple times and have matched up as “diamond” or “triangle/heart”. This app analyzed me as “square”. Again, upon looking at the picture, it just doesn’t seem accurate. I am also diagnosed with rosacea on my skin, am quite pale and have bruises under my eyes and yet received a score of “81” under “skin”. To my knowledge and experience looking at other results, 81 is very high. Again, this doesn’t seem accurate at all…

?Is it an actual application. From my point of view, I will not pay money for something that does not show me content. The application gives you two options: pay or publish three of your friends. I chose to publish three of your friends, and then it did not allow me to try it. The application aims to sell products. Other than that, you save time and data, and it is possible to use your face through artificial intelligence.

Great for some people. this app is useful and great, the only thing that you need to keep in mind is that this ISNT a real person. don’t get sad if you get a lower score, and this app can help you, but isn’t always perfect. (i literally got a 92 on skin and it still told me to “GET RID OF ACNE 😭”) Overall, i think the tips are helpful, but the way they rate your face in a numerical system only hurts people instead of helping. ;)

Glitches. Overall a pretty good app but whenever U try to see my rating the screen turns all black and the application crashes. It does not let me see my daily progress either. Please fix.

didn’t work. I would’ve gave the app a higher rating but I couldn’t see my analysis, it told me to invite three friends so I did, and hit redeem once I was done but it wouldn’t move forward. I was excited to try this app but couldn’t even see how they rated me.

Things could be added. While I think the app is cool I wish it was more detailed. When you go to “your analysis” it tells you what your eye shape is and other stuff like that, but it doesn’t give you any details on why that is, or what it means. I think if it went more in detail and possiblyeven cropped the photo and zoomed in to show you that’d be a very neat thing to see.

Advertising for app and app quality. Advertisement for this app just seems to straight up insult people, call them ugly, and then recommend their own app. But for the app itself it’s completely inaccurate and lazy work. easy to bug out and crash. and when the app actually works it just pops up random numbers i submitted the same picture 3 times and almost every time a different number trying to get me to buy products they don’t sell. Here’s what i think this app is about: I think the products they try to tell you to buy wants to get your clicks on the link because they make money over the fact you bought the product from the link you clicked. A little like drop shipping. Wait no EXACTLY like drop shipping. So please please please don’t buy into the model of this app because i guarantee you could find actual helpful advice from a real professional or a reputable source.

I tried to see how I could gain more muscles and it told me to buy a subscription, I tried to see how I look as a 10/10 it was telling me to buy a subscription this app is just a giant paywall. Don’t download unless your looking to blow your money for something you could ask a professional for more detailed advice..

Paywalled to use it at all. Sure the app itself is free, but if you actually want to use it you have to pay for a subscription. Deceptive, sneaky, and I’m not paying for something before I know how well it works. Tbh I wouldn’t even have left a review if they were straightforward about there being a paywall but they wait until after you submit all your photos for analysis to tell you it’s actually a subscription service. Wins the most deletable app on the App Store of 2024.

couldn’t even use it. after i took the photos, it asked me to either invite 3 friends, or send money on Umax Pro. it honestly got my mad because i just wanted to use it, not act as a sponsor for them. and i definitely dont want to spend money.

Inaccurate AI. The first time I tried this, the AI said that my obvious positive candle was neutral, and that with no UEE it was pray eyes it also stated that I had a round head shape when I do not. Another problem that I have with this is that if you take bad pictures, you are not able to update these pictures for a week. Do not recommend. It’s not like the ads on TikTok.

Very unique & helpful app!. Umax helped me identify ways to improve my appearance which is incredibly helpful as I start to date more. I’ll definitely be taking the advice & recommending this to my friends!

App not performing. I wanted to experiment this app but it is not working at all. I downloaded the app, paid for the week, took my pics for a scan and it’s just stuck “processing image” it does not do anything. I’m being kind of hasty at the moment because I’m obviously an upset, paying customer. I sent an email to the developers for assistance, and I’ll reconsider my review if I receive a word back

Hello, About subscription issue.. I haven’t use this app for many weeks and I got three time charges without my permission, just automatically charges. Which isn’t really fair because I didn’t use for many weeks and pocketing yourself with my money. I want get my money back which lost for around 15 dollar. I will change this rate to 4-5 if I got my money back.

weird. Alright, so the app itself works fine but it is just super weird because you have to invite 3 friends or PAY MONEY just for an app to tell you how attractive you are and it’s probably not even that accurate like I’m not gonna pay money for something like this. I didn’t even get to the scanning part because of this. being attractive isn’t based on “facial harmony” or whatever, it’s based on how the opposite or same sex finds you appealing to look at and you don’t have to look like chico lachowski for that.

Seriously, why?. It’s just completely out unnecessary for it to be mandatory for you to share the app to 3 friends before you can get the results. The devs are a bunch of smart, little raccoons, I’ll give them that. So, here’s to you devs. You managed to fool thousands of insecure people, like myself, into downloading your app through instagram reels.

Biggest waste of 3.99. I bought the subscription for a week and it’s completely trash, I can only do one scan every week (1 scan is 3.99) and you don’t even unlock all of the features of the app. terrible app do not buy the subscription.

Too expensive for services offered.. 16$ a month charge was wild but thought I’d try it out. The app does give you tips on what you should be doing to improve yourself daily but to pay that much it should come with a much detailed routine instead of a few tips a day. I thought the face scans would be a daily thing but you can only do them once a week unless you want to pay an extra charge. They offer another face scan to see your 10/10 self but costs 6.99$ to do. Good for some but you can easily find this information in more detail for free on the internet.

Very okay. The app charges you 4 dollars a week for only one scan of your face per week and if you want to have an extra one you gotta pay another 4 dollars. It gives you solid advice on improving you self but nothing more than a few searches on the internet where I could find more useful info, the rating system I would assume is not that accurate, simply because its rating by AI but then again I don’t know, it’s a very decent app and I wouldn’t pay for it

Scammed me. I bought a supercharged facial scan. I closed the app before starting the scan, and when I came back, it prompted me to wait 7 days or buy another scan. I’m not paying again for something that I bought.

Wow. Honestly, this is the best “looksmaxxing” app. For full features it is 3.99 a week, but without you stull have access to very imperative information.

Scam. In order to use the app you must pay five dollars a week but what they don’t say is that with that five dollars you only can use the app once a week if you want to use it more than once a week you need to pay an additional five dollars per scan so basically every scan is five dollars

Overpriced and not worth it. I knew something was up when the app asked me to rate it before I used it. As soon as I took the photos I was almost forced to pay $13 a month. I think they should limit the amount of uses of the features in the app then charge for more uses.

Super Inaccurate. To start off, i don’t think the apps idea is terrible. I think they have the right idea of helping people look their best, but the whole reason people pay for this app is for the rating, which just spits out random descriptions of your face. I tried the same picture 3 times, and every time i got something different. If your looking for tips to glow up, honestly just identify them yourself because 4 dollars a week is not worth it.

Not accurate. It’s not accurate, it is kinda helpful in some aspect told me my face shape and my eye shape but said I have bushy eyebrows when I just had got them done a week ago.

Score Varies Significantly. Do not base your self-esteem on a score.. The score you get can vary quite a bit depending on the quality and lighting of the photos you choose. Because of this, don’t feel down if your score is low. I think the developer should inform newcomers to the app not to base their self-esteem on a single score due to the potential risk it poses to people's mental health. Currently, there are no warnings in the app about this.
