I like it, but.... I love this idea. I completed the first card deck and it was awesome and helpful, and I had stars to but one more, but you have to pay for everything else!! There’s absolutely NO way to make more coins except to pay! I really love this app, but it’s useless to me unless there’s some way to make coins in the app. Like, 5 or 10 every time you complete a daily exercise or different card pack? ☹️

Very Expensive. The gist of this app is that you use these little Star Points to "unlock" sets of prompts, ideas, etc. They start you off with 30, and have you unlock a 10 point set - "What kind of writer are you?". This set in itself is pretty useless, as it only asks you to write answers to a set of questions on a piece of paper (there's nothing more to it, you don't do anything with those answers). You then have 20 points remaining. With these points, you can buy more exciting, more expansive sets (such as Character Workshop). However, all the worthwhile sets cost anywhere from 30-50 Star Points. They set it up so you don't have enough left to get anything good. You can buy a set of 30 for a whopping $2 (In total, this would give you 50 Star Points on the first round). To give some perspective, there are: - 2 50 Point sets - 2 30 Point sets - 3 20 Point sets - 1 15 Point set So basically, to get enough Points to buy everything, you could spend up to $90. HOWEVER, their other app - Werdsmith - is the best writing app I've ever downloaded. It's entirely free (no in-app purchases) and has an amazing dynamic. It's EXTREMELY organized and I would definitely recommend it to any writer.

Good but Could be Better. This app has a lot of great potential and is one I’d love to explore. However, the app makes it impossible to do so. Say I’m an author, that’s my job. But my books aren’t selling like crazy so I turn to this app thinking it’s cheap and helpful with getting the ideas flowing. Then, upon opening it, I find that I get two card sets and the rest I have to spend money I DON’T have on an app I thought was free. I understand the developer must make money himself, but more card sets should be available from the beginning. Say for example, the main feature of this app, The Daily Habit. It’s on the AppStore page and mentioned in the description. If nothing else, shouldn’t this be free? Like I said, this is a beautiful app and it’s one that I wish I had the funds to use correctly. The coins should be able to be earned. Say, for example, every time you complete a Daily Habit you get 5 coins. This would make the process slow, but not impossible and the un-patient people will go straight for the option to purchase coins. I truly wish I could’ve enjoyed this app more, but the system displayed is impossible for my budget. Fix this issue and you’ll have a loyal follower.

Slightly disappointed. As as soon as I got the app I pressed everything I saw therefore resulting in me losing 'points' then I tried to delete the app and download it again which only made everything worse, I lost the cards I already had and the points too meaning that K have to buy some points which by the way are pricey, but overall the app looked very useful and I ended wishing I hadn't just began pressing stuff

Very useful app for writers!. This is a great way to make sparks fly in your brain, real inspiration and ideas for brainstorming. I don't mind supporting developers; there's a huge amount of time and energy to create these things, and if you don't support the creators they will have no incentive (or economy) to make or update things in the future. This app can really be applied for more than just writing. I'm also using it to focus and create ideas for my photo art projects. Very attractive app, too.

😑. I thought the app looked pretty cool, but then I realized that you had limited "chips" and you spent those chips on writers decks, but the only way to get more is by buying them. I don't see what the point of this is. It's not very helpful

dont waste your time. you have a limited amount of "stars" you use to pay for writer decks. and have to use ten right away. the only way to get more once theyre gone is to BUY them. deleted as soon as i noticed.

Okay. I like the idea of the app and all, and I like how it shows you all the decks you can purchase, but it made me purchase the Discovery deck before it would let me look at the other choices, and then I only had enough credits for one deck, and I wasn’t even really interested in that deck anyway

Good, but unreasonable. I’ve had this app for a while but really haven’t used it until now.First off, the prompts on it are really good which is why it did get 2 stars.But the fact that there is no way to get credits without buying them makes no sense unless they’re just trying to get all of your money. There should be a way to get credits without buying them.

VERY disappointed.. From the pictures, this looks like the app I need to boost my writing inspiration over that annoying block. But it seems you have to pay. For EVERYTHING. Don't give the illusion that the app is free if you're going to make me pay later! Disappointing!

I'm Disappointed.... I like the concept of this app, but the fact that you have to spend money on it without other choices is disappointing. If anything I would suggest being able to watch an advertisement for 5 or so star coins, or even a daily bonus system would work. The 30 (-10) star coins they give you at the start isn't enough to buy the pack they described the whole app about. Ironic much?

Really?. Show me a Writer that has expendable cash for this pricey application, and I’ll be in the presence of a writer that doesn’t need this application to begin with.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!. I am an aspiring writer, and in writing my first book, I was kind of clueless. I tried many apps to help me with outlines and ideas, even to help with writers block, but NOTHING compared to this. This is the best writing app I have ever used and it has helped me come up with tons of new ideas for my story and I MUST incorporate them into it ASAP. THAT’S HOW GOOD THIS IS. GET THIS APP RIGHT NOW.

We Need More. The decks I have used so far have helped me a lot, however I don't like paying for star coins. There's no way to get free coins. You need a daily star coins system.

It's both useful and useless. so far the decks i've used has helped me through a lot of writers block. but the fact i have to pay for the star coins is disappointing. i think you should add a daily log in feature where the user gets star coins everyday. it'll be helpful.

Can't do ANYTHING without spending lots of money!. This app is supposed to be free, but right when you download it, you can't do anything without buying things! The prompts are ok, I guess, but I'll never actually see most of them because I don't want to spend all of my hard-earned money on a little app!

Just Downloaded The App. Okay. So, I just downloaded the app because it looked legit and it's exactly what I needed since I love to write but, I get blocked here and there. But, just on reading the reviews, my hopes on this app is all gone and I feel like I should delete it.. I'll try it and re-do a review if anything good happens.. 👌🏼

Useful. It's pretty cool, and the decks I have help with basic ideas, but I wish that there was at least a way to earn the currency. I got two decks and then I couldn't buy anything else. All in all, it's useful, but disappointing.

It's helpful, but costs money. I really like the ideas of this app. Someone of the questions or whatever are a little boring, but it's ok. It helps me when I have writers block, but I'm stuck because it costs money. I don't have money to just spend on apps. I know the people need to make a profit, but still. I wish it was cheaper or something. I'd like to get the rest of card decks or whatever you call them.

I want to like it.... (Updated) ... but I learned long ago not to purchase IAP credits to unlock features in an app. You can't restore them. So if you buy a lot of credits, then need to switch phones, you are out the packs that you bought with those credits. Please correct me if I'm wrong: things may have changed. Offer a full unlock, or even packs of cards that can be restored, and I will certainly take another look at what this app has to offer. It seems interesting, but I'm not going to get burned again. — It’s interesting that the dev still updates the app, yet totally ignores all of the complaints about the monetization scheme. IAP currency is horrible for anything that is supposed to last. Offering no way to earn “coins” without buying them makes no sense, unless the goal is to force your customers to re-buy everything later on if they upgrade/replace their phone, or have to reinstall the app for any reason. If they were to sell the additional card sets for actual money so they could be restored, or offer groups of card packs for sale – like $10-15 for “full access” – I would buy them. No question. I will not support this form of IAP. Ever.

nice idea. I don't want to have to pay real money to get more stars. try adding a feature that allows the user to earn stars by completing offers/watching videos. I'm sure if you advertise apps to download to get stars, your sponsors will pay you as much as you charge for star packs.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Extremely disappointed. I didn't download a free app just to pay money for using it. You begin with 55 "star coins" and are forced to use 10 right off the bat. This initial kit that you buy is about getting to know yourself, and is not why I downloaded the app. In order to get a good stack of questions to help you right, you have to pay 50 stars (keep in mind they strategically only let you have 45) and I am all-in-all disappointed that I have to pay for overpriced access to my free app, there are other apps which do this much better, DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Lovely prompts but need more. The one free deck of 'cards' they give is lovely, but you have to pay money for any more. There is no way to get coins for free in the app and you must pay for them.

Instant Paywall. You're blocked by an instant paywall as soon as you start using this app to unlock the features it was made for and you downloaded it for in the first place. Scummy business practices, stay away.

Pay to Write Deleted immediately. You need to purchase credits to unlock decks of cards that you can write with. So you have to pay to continue writing. The worst business model in existence is when some developer asks you to pay to actually write instead of asking for money upfront for the product.

Few tips about 💵. So I love the idea and topics, but it's really expensive. Maybe have a way to earn points and not always have to buy them. Like a mini writing assignment. Then people will still buy somethings, but won't delete the app.😕

I want to love it. But its not something i want to pay for when im just starting, i would have donated once i got the hang of it but now i have a practically useless app because i cant unlock more

Good prompts, but.... I absolutely love the prompts I've been given, but there are a few problems in my opinion: -you are given coins to buy pack of makes you spend 10 out of 55 of them in a tutorial, which I thought was no use -each pack costs 15-40 coins, meaning you can only buy about two -you can get more coins by paying real money, which was just plain stupid Overall it could be improved but I love the prompts and I've been having fun writing with them. My favorite pack is the 'character: everyday' pack. I recommend this app but I wish they made it easier to get packs and coins.

Completely useless. This app is useless. You can see everything this app provides without having to buy a whole bunch of "stars" that are overpriced. Don't waste your time downloading this.

Pay to use. ...but not NEARLY as much as one reviewer said. It will not cost you "$90" or some other astronomical number as someone said, if you add up all the star points you'd need to unlock everything, it's somewhere in the neighborhood of <$10. NOT $90. That being said, the prompts are useful, but nothing you couldn't look up for free on a good writing advice website. Developer's other app, Werdsmith, is much more useful.

Great tool but costs a lot. This app is a great tool for anyone experiencing writers block. But it is a ton of money to unlock all the decks. Does anyone know how to get the stars for free?

Love this app!. Why all the negative reviews? I love the ideas it provides. Yes, you have to buy coins to purchase more ideas but I didn’t mind and it was worth it. I purchased all of it and love this app. It really is not expensive for what you get. Rather cheap, in my opinion.

Good premise, bad delivery.. I would much rather sit through ads than be forced to buy "star coins" to unlock the feature for which I downloaded this app to begin with. They give you 30 coins. Then force you to buy their basic "What kind of writer are you?" package for 10. Well, now that you've slogged through that waste of time, the "beating writers block" bundle (the one this entire app description implies this whole app is about) is 30 coins in and of itself. If you're in my situation, where you are just stuck while writing, don't expect this seemingly free app to help without a price.

Handy, but can't restore purchases.. I like this app, and find it useful in combating writer's block, but I have more than one iDevice. I would like to be able to have the purchases on both, but there is no option to restore purchases packs on iOS.

Doesn't give you 30 credits. So you can't demo any decks without paying

Disappointing. This is effectively a list of questions that you can't even record an answer on in-app. The first questions in one of the character development decks involve the character's name and gender: hardly a useful exercise. It would be another thing if the app would allow you to record your character-building results digitally, but this is insulting and useless.

Awesome. This app helps a lot with writers block which is always a problems for me so thx! Also I can't wait for more updates with new packs :P
