Good for repetition practice. Easy to use and love the indexes and examples as well as sound and the illustrations in the flash cards from the list, as it helps a lot if you are a visual learner like myself. Overall I would recommend if you enjoy all of the above and are looking for repetition in your studies.

Almost useless. Needs option to hide English!

Too buggy for a paid app. My main issue is that the flash card checker/tests register all correct answers as incorrect, making that feature useless. Besides that, anytime you navigate away from the app in the middle of studying a flash card deck, you have to start over from the very beginning when you go back. As it currently stands, not worth the money I paid for it.

Horrible user interface. This is a charged app which I’m expecting something nice to use. Instead real UI looks horrible and laggy. I have no idea how I can use it. It’s like a beginner high school project instead of a published app. Please not waste your money. Plenty of other free app out there for you

Needs fixes. App is okay but constantly freezes and has to be restarted. Some of the tutorial images are missing or intentionally left blank. Cant add new words or turn off kanji readings above words. Would like to be able to turn off hints when checking also, makes testing pointless when they give you the answer above the question -.-

すごい!! Excellent app to help with your Nihongo studies. I am really impressed with this app, if you are using an Iphone/Ipad and studying Japanese this is really a help. If you are using the Genki book series, this is a MUST HAVE app. Unless you are a savant at studying Japanese...and I know I'm not...you know that one of the big hurdles of becoming proficient at Japanese is mastery of verb (and adjective) conjugation. I wish I had this app a year ago when I started with Genki, but even with a year into Genki I'm already thrilled with the app. Looks great on both iPhone (I'm using the 6) and iPad. Hats off to the UX design group, it's an easy to use app. Essentially following the verb/adjective conjugation order as presented in the Genki 1 and 2 texts, you have these main ways to use the app: 1) "Menu" option gives you two main ways to use flashcards. It also lets you create you own set of flashcards. This is huge IMHO. I've used several other flashcard programs, and unless you manually edit the deck you're often stuck with the total collection of flashcards to study with. This app allows you to choose verbs/adjectives from each chapter. Choose one, choose many, choose all...it's up to you. Once you have selected your deck,you can either A) review it, or B) study it through a standard Question, you provide the answer. Each review card is well designed, has audio/example/rule description, and Kanji with furigana conjugated word. 2) Use an alphabetical LIST of the verbs/adjectives to study 3) Review the RULES of the conjugations Other items of note: Audio pronuciation, example sentences and translation, and you enter in your answers in Japanese! This last feature is great, they show you the easy way to add in a Japanese keyboard into your iphone/ipad (dead simple to do). You really should be using less and less Romajii, and this app helps you do this too. As you can tell, I'm very impressed with this app. I'd also recommend the Genki Vocab and Kanji apps too. I could have saved myself lots of $$'s when I started with Genki had I know about these three apps by The Japan Times. I'm not associated with these apps, just a delighted student of Nihongo. Well done!

Supplement Study. This is basically a flash card app for conjugations with difficult repeatability. I bought Genki 1 workbook and textbook and it’s been great for basics. The app, however, should be free for what it offers and feels like it was made 10+ years ago then forgot about. I already spent $ on both hard copies of the text, it should at least be free to download. If you have the $6 to spare, it’s not unusable, but It won’t really teach you much. It’s a flash card app that coincides with the vocabulary in the book. My recommendation: if you don’t have Anki or either the text or workbook, save the $6 for something else.

Frustrating. The English and Japanese infinitives are both shown on the front, making it impossible to check if you really know the word. There is no way to mark a card as learned or mark where in a deck you are when you take a break. Every time you open the app it takes you to the beginning. And the sound doesn’t work (although it does on my phone on other Genki apps).

Confusing User Interface - Not all that useful.. Whoever wrote this didn't really seem interested in making it useful. There is no way to select cards for your review based on your current progress in Genki. Instead, one picks sets that cuts across material in more than one chapter. Also, when it comes time to check your answer, it gives you the verb ending, which is half the answer. My feeling about this app is that currently it is not of any use at all and when it might be usable I won't need it anymore.

Limited. Seem like an old app. Useful with Genki textbook, because verbs are introduced in the same order. But it seems there is no way to work with multiple forms of one verb at a time — it’s only one tense at a time. I want to hear “taberu, tabimasu, tabete, tabemashita, tabeta” but this app doesn’t do that. Also, there’s no audio for the example sentences. I’m looking for a better conjugation drill app, this one isn’t working for me.

Missing verbs in Genki 3rd edition. At least couple verbs taught in the Genki 3rd edition are missing in this app, including はいる、のる。

Was ok until….. Put back the landscape mode for iPad

Annoying. I don’t understand why it’s different from the Vocab app, this one u have to spell each word out

Not bad, recommended if you use Genki Textbook. Good extension to learn on the go if you have/use a Genki Textbook from school. App sometimes crashes, but other than that, I actually understand some convenient grammar usage from this!

Mediocre. 1. Wish the sentences had audio 2. Every time you close the app, you start from the beginning 3. Wish there was a better way to organize the very s & the adjectives - chapter, conjugation type, tense, etc

Horrifically overpriced. I got this and another genki app and completely regret it. I just found the interface really stubborn to navigate. There used to be a really good flashcard app and i thought this would be like that. For what they give you this is hardly worth the cost, especially if you already have the textbooks. I thought this would just be an easier way to study the genki vocab but its not. Very much regret this purchase.

Good. I like it, but the Present (long) section in ‘Rule’ is hidden and I can’t seem to tap it. Please fix this.
