Simply Amazing!. I love this game because it gives the option of multiplayer. Countless nights I have played this with friends. The game is beautiful, with smooth graphics and extreme detail. Sound and music is incredible. The overall game is extremely fun, and very easy to look at.

Great Game, Great App. Really fun game, and a smooth running app! Have been playing for 3 hours straight, and no performance issues, and we haven't stopped playing! I would recommend it.

Fun but online doesn’t work. It’s a fun game and the solo playing is great, but I am unable to connect with my friends on iCloud. I looked in my settings and it does not show this app as using iCloud maybe that’s why I keep getting a server timed out message.

Can’t gift. Amazing game, want to buy it for a friend but haven’t been able to for 3-4 days... I’m going to assume it’s because of the sale. Edit: Took a week or two but sorted everything out. Rating updated

Faithful adaptation. It’s Tsuro! Very pretty and faithful to the boardgame. Minus one star because the animations, while gorgeous, take a long time and I’d like to be able to turn them off. Also, the lack of text for the icons meant that I was really confused for a while when trying to set up a game vs the AI.

Incredible. This is one of my favorite (simple) games ever. Glad to have found a digital version.

Oculus brought me here. Found this fun game in the Metaverse and wanted more time to play. Will be getting the board game version as well. Fun on all platforms. Solo, or w friends in person or online. I’m a big fan of Lanterns too. Nice esthetic. Never the same game twice.

Okay could be better. I second the Facebook issues. I am not on Facebook. You can play with your Game Center friends. But Since Game Center is dead. There is no way to add friends. I tried playing nearby friends it doesn’t seem to be working. Kinda wish I didn’t buy it. Except for the fact the solo version makes it interesting. Update..... Got a response from developer they say they are working on multiplayer to make it better. It was a quick response too! So I changed my rating fro 3 stars to 4.

Used to be good. The game is beautiful, but the load time is kind of a drag after a few times. The game could be challenging and fun, until the AI/computer opponent disappeared. I don’t play against friends and I don’t want to wait for someone to take their turn and I refuse to connect to Facebook. I don’t know why they removed the computer opponent but it ruined the game. The AR is neat, but I’m not going to drain my battery for it.

Strategic, but relaxing. The game couldn’t be simpler, or more relaxing. It’s not deeply strategic, but you do have to remember your tiles and know what you have so you know what you should play. Really enjoying this relaxing game.

I love it!. I love this game! It is very fun and the stones and board are beautiful. I would just recommend it is made possible to chose your picture from existing photos and not have to take a selfie. Also, there is this problem where it says my most loops is 18 but my total loops is 3. I overall rate it 5 stars, although please fix these problems.

Struggle with interface and lack of single player. Great idea and neat to use AR for a board but if you don’t want to use the AR the interface is bad. You can’t see the whole board, all of your cards or zoom out/in to see everything. Also very frustrating is the lack of single player or the ability to use computers to fill the places of non-human players. A 1v1 game can be slow and unexciting.

Great game. Stumbled on this, not into board games much (usually not intuitive, easy to learn in those sparse moments I have to play), but this one was easy to learn and after you get the hang of what's going on, becomes more complex (you think it'll be easy...not so fast! 😎) makes you think steps ahead, that's why I like it...now I have my 11 yr old son interested! Strategy strategy strategy!! This one I'll keep!

Facebook shenanigans. My Tsuro app was once connected to my Facebook account. When I closed my Facebook account for good (gasp!), I was unable to play Tsuro - I would try to load the app and the Facebook login screen would appear. I’d choose, “not now” and I would be booted from the app, denied access to Tsuro. I was mad. I searched the reviews for answers- nothing. I emailed support... Finally, I stumbled upon the fix. After various attempts to bypass my old ties to FB, I went nuclear. I deleted the app. Deleting the app and the associated data, then reinstalling was the only solution that I could find to fix this issue. When prompted to connect and play with friends on my Facebook account, I chose ‘hell no’ or whatever it is that means no. Now I can play Tsuro again, sans Facebook. That pleases me. If you’re having the same issue, this review’s for you. Four stars because Facebook shenanigans

Nice game, but addictive.. If brainy-but-simple games is your thing, this game is king. But be warned: it’s addictive! Regarding the app, it’s generally nice, but has a ways to go in terms of aesthetic refinement: the game center button and current player button are big, ugly, and always shown, destroying the otherwise pleasing design. Despite the hoopla around AR, in this case AR is downright gimmicky, and even makes it harder to play.

So close.. This game is awesome. This app is not. The animations are beautiful, but they are slow and you have to wait through a lot before you play. You have to transition to the main screen to swap between games. You can’t create games between game center friends only through Facebook. Worst of all... looks like it was updated for iPhone X but it looks worse, can’t see all the controls, and can’t send the Facebook notification, can’t see the go button. It looked better before the update. Update: the most recent update fixes the iPhone X issues. The developers haven’t addressed the other issues mentioned. Update 2: so not all iPhone X issues were fixed. Can’t tap the go button when the Facebook send move view comes up.

An amazing and beautiful game!!!. I downloaded this game a few months ago, and I really love it!!! The graphics and gameplay are very enjoyable!!! Download this game, and you won't be disappointed!

There’s a path to improvements. The game design and flow are beautiful. The “cloud experience” with playing online feels glitchy, requiring many reconnections. It would be nice to have a vertical down view of the game board option, rather than just diagonally above, because the tiles in the upper rear area can be hard to see, particularly on a smaller screen and because the contrast between tile background and paths is not great. Overall, however, a great game.

Keeps crashing. It's a cool idea, I've only gotten through the tutorial though. I'm about half way through an offline game, but every time I make a move, it crashes, and then starts me at the same pre move point every single time I try to play it. Please fix this so I can play this game, it looks pretty cool but I'm going to delete it if I can't play. Definitely a 5 star game if you could play it though.

Beautiful Elegance. Excellent implementation of a simple yet amusing game. As others have noted, Tsuro isn’t a terribly “deep” game, but this app captures the graphic elegance and turn-based play style with appropriate animations and prompts to make the experience enjoyable. Computer opponents as well as online play are offered. The only suggestion being there should be a better way to review the ending board and perhaps allow some what-if tracing of paths.

Wonderful!. Wonderful, relaxing, clever, and simple. Brilliant, and I'm so glad it's an app! Suggestions: Make multiplayer available over a network or Bluetooth. I love to play with 8 players; if I didn't have to drag them all to the difficulty boxes every game I would appreciate that :D

Great game but record screen works 20% of the time. I play almost exclusively so I can build up to long ending paths that I record. Unfortunately the record screen feature is SUPER buggy. Half the time the little ? Icon won’t come back at all and almost the entire other half the time, clicking save won’t actually save the video to your phone (a workaround this is to email the (huge) file to yourself before clicking save). Another workaround I’ve found is to record when you first start the game bc the first record of a play session is usually the one that breaks. Once you “warm the game up” to recording it does better (but this is annoying to have to do). 5/5 if the devs fix this bug.

Latest update lost my games. After updating, the game-center games I was playing no longer appear, even after I "linked" to game center. I am baffled why I should have do anything to continue using game center. This is just one more in a long line of incoveniences the developers seem to enjoy putting into the app. Others include a startup animation that repeats at least once a day on ios12, a board that can't be viewed from above, and lots of unnecessary gestures and long animations.

Good game. Software needs work. This is an interesting game, strategic but with an element of chance. The software implementation is poor however. If you're playing an online game with another person, and exit to another program, the iOS version takes you thru an excessively long startup program and then dumps you into a startup default game. Two suggestions for software improvement: 1. Reduce the excessive startup time, about 45+ seconds of wasted time. 2. When you are playing an online game and leave the app and return to the game, you should return to the game that you're playing, not to a new game.

Update REQUIRES Facebook login :(. I love this board game, and the iOS version has been even more fun. Until now. It refuses to let me play the game without logging into Facebook. If I click ‘not now’, the game crashes. Fix ASAP or lose your customer base!!!! You’ve COMPLETELY ruined what was a perfectly fun game. I want to play the game, not connect our family iPad to my personal Facebook account!

Hardly relaxing. Sitting right next to my wife, we both have IOS 11, iPad Pros, both logged in to FB, and we can’t play against each other!! We’ll both get (maybe) 1 move in, and then it freezes. We both clear our board to try again, and it still has our last move from the previous game! Freezes again. Lame and frustrating...

Really fun. Only problem I have is the message when 2 or more stones end up at the empty square after all 35 tiles have been played. It says "Oh dear... all the stones are gone. Do you want a rematch."

Simple, strategic, and fun.. This game is easy to learn, simple and fast to play, and actually has several types of challenges to increase your interest level. Also, for those social butterflies, there is the ability to other real people. However, you have to connect to Facebook to interact with other living beings. This is truly an excellent game! My only suggestion to the developer(s) is make the game playable directly through Apple’s built in Messenger App, too. I am not a fan of Facebook and its’ data collection policies/practices. So, I do not give anything access to my Facebook account. But, I would still love to play this game with my wife and friends directly.

Great, but.... I agree with others. I really hate being told there's someone waiting for me to play when my current opponent has not taken a turn. It is a "drag" to have to drag all the other opponents onto the board. The startup screen does seem long (I know what the box looks like...very pretty...can we get to playing now?). Sometimes I forget what rule-set I chose, it'd be nice if it said (or there was a symbol. On the whole, though, I enjoy the game very much. If that were fixed, I'd rate this a solid 5-stars. The effects are satisfying, and I can play myself to try to beat my loops record or distance for quite some time. It'd be great if those records could be stored somehow.

As a book is to a movie….. As a book is to a movie, this digital version is to its board game counterpart; a pale comparison. Placement of game elements and notifications around the board, deeply diminish the experience. Placing the stone can be frustrating, and there is no way to undo the start piece. Long loading time for a relatively lackluster experience. The sounds are ok. The constant push toward social media is a bit much. Remove the extra stuff. It was the simplicity of the original board game which made it so good.

Suddenly quits. Very fun to play! one bug, when eliminating an AI opponent and you can choose (drag) a card from the eliminated player the game suddenly quits. Over and over again this has happened to me.

Easier than the board game. While the board game is fun, it has some limitations. The digital app keeps you from making errors by letting you know that your move is illegal. You don’t lose any of the pieces.

Cannot play solo. Tsuro offers an online function that allows you to compare your score with other players, but when you attempt to start a 1-player match, the app auto-closes. At present , the app only allows multi player matches.

Tilted perspective is a little weird.. I really like this game and have been thinking of buying the Tsuro of the Seas actual board game for a while so this might tip me over the edge. Haven’t played it too much with friends yet but the tilted perspective when viewing the game board sometimes makes playing on the “far side of the board” require more thought. Overall a fun game though.

Great quick game. Such a good implementation of a charming simple game that I had to buy the actual board game. Games take just a few minutes, and the app is quite lovely and somehow soothing.

Really fun single player experience; multiplayer seems largely broken. Highly enjoyable, very elegant strategy/puzzle/board game; really like the way the AI is presented. As of now, attempting to start multiplayer matches results 19 out of 20 times in one of a few different "connection failed" error messages (with a strong wi-fi signal, successful Game Center login, and no other intervening factors).

Solid game, frustratingly slow.. I get that the soothing animations are part of the experience, but when I want to jump into the game to knock out a quick turn, I don't want to wait for the box to open, it the board to set up dramatically. Or the buttons to slide into view. Just drop me onto the dang game! Tried turning on "economy visuals" and turbo mode or whatever. Still wasting 20 seconds on a 10 second turn.

Beautiful and Fun Game!. The main game mechanics are lots of fun and is very pleasing to the eye. Only serious problem is that I've had some crashes during multiplayer and the games get out of sync with really weird results. Can be quite annoying. Minor annoyances include the significant load time (and intro animations,) slow transition animations, and needing to go back to the "game start screen" every time you want to switch between games that are in progress. Please streamline it so that I'm not spending so much time waiting!

Great two player. So nice to have a two player game on my phone. It’s the perfect mix of easy and interesting.

Beautiful, but online play rarely works. I love Tsuro and this version of it, but most of the time when I try to start an online game, it gives me an "Online Error - try again later" message with no clue as to what actually went wrong. I hope this gets fixed soon. And it randomly tells me it's my turn in an online game, when I don't even have any active games.

Similar to Carcassonne. Games that have an unpredictability of how the game board is created and have strategy in placement. Making you think ahead are always fun games. The replay ability is awesome and fast quick games are always nice! Great game. Wish you could shift or rotate the entire game board when placing the tiles at the very far edge on board. I do like how you can see the layout of the track before placing the tile though. Also it would be nice to continue to play a computer instead of your ghost. But it’s still an amazing game. Thanks!

Great fun. I downloaded this game to play with my 4 year old grandson. He loves it! Especially when he gets to take his picture multiple times and loves it when he can run me into the wall and watch my stone blow up! We are still total rookies, but this game is great for teaching little ones directionality and how to make a path

Fun game, crashes often. I live playing the game. The app crashes quite a lot, which gets frustrating. The switch between games is unnecessarily complicated. There is no need to always go back to the new board. Just let me switch between games.

Great Game for The Non-Gamer. I'm not much of a gamer - just doesn't hold much interest for me - so I may not be the best judge. But this is a terrific way to pass a few minutes. It isn't super-complicated to learn, you can play as aggressively against your opponents as you want, or just ignore them and play the course, like golf. A great combination of strategy and luck. Nice to look at, too.

Keeps crashing. I love this game but it crashes a lot when sending your move. I wish the developer would correct this problem. All my finds are having the same issue. I also wish there were a way to just select the person you want to play with next rather than clearing the board each time and then selecting the person.

I can actually play it now. I own the physical board game, and the hardest part about it is finding someone else to play with. This plays just like the physical game and even keeps track of little things like path length and loops. Not to mention the music (which is relaxing) and the visuals (they use the word “snazzy” in the menu). I highly suggest it.

Tsuro. It is highly addictive & I also have the board game. In the board game you start with 3 tiles and as you use one you pick another tile up. Why does the app version take away all your cards and give you 3 new cards? Love the game, great to have 3 different game styles.

Mandatory Facebook Requirement causing Crashes. While I love Tsuro and have greatly enjoyed this digital port, this latest update introduces a mandatory requirement to link to Facebook, and if you refuse to login and link to Facebook, the app crashes instantly. It’s inappropriate to automatically assume users wish to link the game to Facebook without first asking, and then force auto load Facebook in an embedded browser with the (assumed) intention of requesting permission to link the game to an (again, assumed) Facebook account. #privacyinvasion #baddesign #securityviolation

Freezes too much. Such a great game, but multiplayer with friends online freezes and glitches.

Great game, very clunky implementation. I really enjoy playing this game but the multiplayer connectivity is really buggy. It seems that the designers have focussed so much on appearance that they forgot to build good functionality. I don’t know why I can’t easily add an opponent as a friend. If a friend starts a game but doesn’t place a stone then the game locks and can’t connect properly. There is no way to delete games that are not progressing. The constant “connecting to the cloud” is really painful. I want to like this game more, and would play it far more if the usability issues were addressed. Other games and apps seem to have far fewer network issues. Fingers crossed a major overhaul is in the pipeline.

great game, buggy iPad app. Since the summer 2017 update the app loads fine but crashes after setting up a game. When the app is restarted the game is playable. But there is now always a crash between game set up and actual game play. Please fix. (Yes, I’ve tried reinstallation but it doesn’t help).

A few things need to be fixed. Since updates the original natural coloured tiles don’t load. I am not a fan of those new colours; I liked the muted look more as they matched the board. Secondly it would be nice to save photos and nicknames the other players and also to the virtual opponents when playing solo. That way when you’re playing solo it could give more of a feel instead of random nicknames and no avatars. Thanks!

Classic masterpiece. Simple to learn, challenging to master, Tsuro embodies all the strengths of a traditional Japanese strategy game. Years of enjoyment ahead.

Need local play/ better online play. I will change my score when we are offered a better and seamless play online/local play. The game is amazing, but playing through Facebook is just ridiculous.

It is really nice but I want to see two more fixtures. One: I’ll love an orthographic top view; this angle looks good but for the playability is awful. Two: At the end should have the possibility to take an screen shot. If you change Thai I’ll give the game five stars.

Great games. Great simple strategy game. Simple to learn but interesting mastery. AI is okay and there is good online play.

Simple. Elegant. Relaxing. Fun.. Don’t let the simplicity fool you, this game is quick, fun but does get strategic and fun as the board gets filled with tiles. Seeing the stones slide down the path is satisfying. The suspense and intensity building towards the end is fun to experience with friends or alone.

Buggy. Would be my favourite game if I was able to play. It always crashes before I place a player on the board. Seems to crash trying to connect to Facebook or Game Center.

Great Game - Except for loading times. I really enjoy this game. The only negative thing... the load time into the title screen is awful long. I wish they’d change that...

Almost perfect. This is a great version of the classic game. What would make it perfect is 2 things: 1) option of a 2D top-down view ... there’s a lot of wasted screen real estate due to the 3D view. 2) option of in app purchase of the newer versions

Fun game, but unusable right now. Battery drains like crazy, even without using the AR features. In 1 game, I lost 35% battery.

Best game of it’s kind. A few improvements... Refusing the ability to play a piece that takes you off board really ruins some multiplayer strategy. The warning is great but not being permitted often forces the rightful winner to lose. Opponent seeking is often buggy. These two points aside, instant classic and favourite game for all who discover it. Have to play at least once daily

Tsuro. Love this game but it needs an update to fix notifications. They don’t work, so it’s hard to know when it’s your turn. Please fix! Thanks!

No AI opponent. Cannot find ai opponents to play against, wish board was little bigger, games ok said there are three ai opponents? Wish I could get money back

Great, except for the AR. Amazing! Its been my favorite board game. The only thing I don’t like is that when I tried to turn on AR, it couldn’t detect anything... Other then that its so much fun!

Highly recommend. I play this a lot. It doesn't take long to get through a game and it is unique. Very challenging and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Very clever game. It’s a puzzle, it’s a challenge, it’s at times frustrating, but an excellent game to to play to make flight seem short. Well dine!!

Fun board game that offers a lot of play variety. I’m quite enjoying this game. So many possibilities.

Relaxing. There was a point where the game seemed to argue with me and not allow me o place the tile that I wanted. So I deleted and reinstalled the game.

Fun game but too much waiting on transitions. The game play is fun but there is way too much time wasted on waiting for the game to launch (because of the developer intro), then waiting for the “box” to open and the pieces to circle the board. It’s pretty at first but gets annoying very quickly. I ended up deleting the game.

Wouldn’t buy this again.. I bought this mobile game after enjoying the board game and was disappointed. The concept of the game is great but there’s to much extra stuff layered on over the game(Ads for other games and in game animations mostly). Playing against AI is difficult to work as well.

Fun - now for iPhone X!. When I had the 8 Plus this game was fun and gorgeous. With the iPhone X the aspect ratio changed and the apps been updated and it’s as beautiful as it’s ever been.

Tabletop Mode?. I have no idea why tabletop mode doesn’t simply allow one to set the device on top of a table. Mine flickers and scans helplessly and says no table can be found. Is this necessary? I could do that myself. It’s a fine game, but a fail as a multiplayer game for travel.

Tsuro. I love this game! I love that you can play 2 player, play with com’s and you don’t have to play with your friends.

Great game.. I am going to start out by saying this game is a fun game. I played the real game at a friends house and loved it so I bought it on the App Store. I really like it and recommend it.

Fun game, but.... The multiplayer mode is wonky. I’ve tried starting 5 games with a friend. Only 1 actually worked. If the multiplayer mode worked consistently, I’d give the game 5/5 stars though. It’s super fun.

Too many glitches. I've played this game before on a tablet, but this app is so glitchy! It crashes every time I try to open it, and I have yet to be able to finish even the initial demo before it goes down, no matter how many times I try. Very disappointed. It's such a good game too...

Love the game. Hard to like the app!. App is not friendly and now it just crashes since I got the update today. Try to play the game in progress and it just crashes when I select the Facebook player. Please fix. And please have real people test your app before you release it to the store. Thanks.

Addictive but results screen is in the way.. I really like this game except for the stupid results screen that covers the board at the end of each game. How am I suppose to admire my awesome path with that thing in the way?

Wish there were friends. Wish that there were more friends playing. Maybe it will allow you to play against random players online. No luck at that yet. AI isn't that intelligent when you have to make the moves for it!

Really fun game & Great App!. An excellent translation of the board game! Easy to learn but hard to master! Lots of versions to keep players interested. Highly recommended!!!

Challenging. Fun, intriguing, mentally challenging. You need to see where moves will take several plays in advance. Great fun -my new favorite game.

Simple yet fun. I've been playing with my wife and we both seem to enjoy it.

Challenging Fun!. This is a great game! Easy to learn, not so easy to master. You can play with yourself, friends or several computer players at once. My son loves it as much as I do.

Push Notifications- for no reason. Every day I get a notification icon. I launch the app thinking a friend has played or started a new game but nothing is waiting. I don’t like the fact that the developer uses the notification to make me pay attention to the app. Sorry guys but this gives you a 1-Star and application delete.

Just as peaceful and fun as the board version.. After playing the board game, I feel a sense of calm. This game simulates the board game exactly.

Great game with weirdly slow load screen. The initial load screen is entertaining the first few times, but gets boring. Otherwise thus is a great boardgame and nicely implemented as an app.

Loved the app until iPhone X. This was a game I played every day… until I upgraded to iPhone X. Now, I’m unable to invite my friends to play. It just sits there at the Facebook screen, showing who I’m sending my move to, without providing me the option to ACTUALLY SEND the move. 😕 I’m beyond disappointed.

Great game, love it!!!. This is a little like the game Go, and war mixed in, save yourself, but try to trip up the opponents...great game for being stuck in a plane or car trip

AWSOME APP. You should add Some game modes like tournaments and campaing mode where you Battle AI’s and every level gets harder and the tokens should look like humans and walk like humans

Great game!. Tsuro is an amazing game that I really enjoy playing by myself and with others. I especially like all of the replay value and placing tiles to build up to a huge payoff. Really great game

Buggy and slow. I love the game. Splash screen and animations take way too long. Facebook and Game center multiplayer options are very buggy. App is totally broken on iPhone X, not letterboxed but instead cut off at the top, bottom and the notch so its impossible to play.

Pretty solid overall. I like the design, but would really appreciate a way to play it looking directly at the board and not at an angle.

Looks nice but keeps crashing. Just bought this looks nice but keeps crashing when I try to play with just one stone. I also don’t see an exit button. I’ll revise my rating once some of the bugs are fixed.

Here for the "Chain of Command" Reference. Also the game is very fun and nice looking and digestible and prompts aren't annoying, all around an ideal pre-sleep (meaning any time not spent sleeping) game

BIG Improvement!. The latest update makes the first player RANDOM. Finally! This app was already great, but having a random 1st player adds a lot to the enjoyment when playing against AI opponents.

Rules makes no sense. The last player should have to take a last turn because it's not equal. If I lose the player needs to complete their turn of that round or they play less than me.

Cool; when will the “Sea” version come out?. There’s a physical version of this and a “Sea” themed game with dice, sea monsters... would be nice to see that made for iOS!

Very true port of board game. Love this version of the board game! The AI's are fun players & I love that there are multiple winning conditions you can play with.

Harder than it looks!. Super fun :) I didn't think it would be such a good challenge!

Multiplayer issues. Love this game but it often gives an error message when attempting to send your turn. Very frustrating. Fix this and it becomes a 5 star.

Relaxing. Technically the game has been perfect. I never played the board game but I think I may get one. This is the first game that has promised relaxing and actually lived up to it.
