WFL Chicago Runner. Brilliant digital experience and worked seamlessly from a technical perspective (not a given with >250,000 runners starting at the same time)

This was fun!. This was my first time WFL run and I enjoyed it; running from the US. The app did just enough to be engaging and entertaining without overkill. I will do this one again!

ultimate run!. super cool app! Love the concept and most of all the mission of this app. Super fun to do with friends, family, or even by yourself. Happy to say i wouldn’t of pushed myself without this app!

Worked great. Downloaded it today and took a training run. Super easy to use and worked great. Can’t wait for the race in May!

Excellent. Great app fun to run with but it would be nice to have in on Apple Watch so I don’t have to bring my phone.

Excellent App. The app was so well structured and easy to navigate. I did lose gps but that was because I went too far into the woods.

WFL 2023. Wonderful app run experience! There were moments of silence where I thought my phone had died. Maybe continual music or more check-ins can be added? Thank you! I love this race!

Motivating!. Love the “live” encouragement. Only thing to improve would be to have the catcher car give more “warnings” as they approach. This was done last year (2020) but I didn’t hear the catcher car until it was on me this year. Still all for an extremely important cause!

2023 First-time Runner. Great experience with the run and the App. Next time hopefully friends will join me rather than sleep-in!

Great interface!. I use this app to train almost every day. I haven’t noticed any bugs.

Thanks for the push!. It’s my first 4 mile run in over a year. With multiple knee surgeries and injuries this was a great way to get motivated and support a great cause!

So many interruptions. I tried to listen to a book to keep my focus. This is my first run, & I didn’t realize we get constant notifications—albeit motivating comments & stories. Other than that, it was a great day to run and for a great cause!

0.5 I’m diff with Garmin(((. Not sure if it’s app’s fault, but I’ve got 500 meters difference with running watches. A bit disappointing. In plus, there where too many interruptions from playlist by motivation speeches.

Fun race app works well. I can’t believe they got Catherine O’Hare to be in the catcher car! It could have only been better if she spoke in her Moera voice the whole time. Great cause and super cool format. I’m very happy to have been a part of it.

Great running app. This is the best running app I’ve used. I love the motivation throughout. Gives you the atmosphere of a real run!

Did not let me start. Downloaded the app and was logged in ready to go. Went to hit start after countdown. Would not let me start. Tried logging out and back in. No one at race was able to help me. Re installed app. Still no luck. Had already paid and gotten race number, emails confirmations, etc. Very dissatisfied.

The most fun!. The run started at 4am my time, on a Sunday morning. Not going to lie I was mostly cursing myself while getting ready. But the narrator and the ‘catcher car’ (she was so funny!) absolutely kept me motivated. I even found myself sprinting UPHILL at the end to just get a little farther. I’m an average runner at best but that was probably the most fun I’ve had at a race. Will definitely sign up again next year!

Was a great. I did 8 1/2 miles and I’m fasting so I’m not able to drink or eat anything until eight in the evening so still 11 hours

First time. I really liked the app and the stories-hated the catcher car😂😂well not really-just hated getting caught

We went plogging too. My wife and I jogged with garbage bags and picked up trash along the way. It slowed us down but was worth the added value.

Great motivation. Great run app, only got distance call outs at the half mile, so easy to get into a groove but still know where you are in the race

Wings for Life World Run 2023. Superfun! First time Runner/Walker - in the App. It was rainy, muddy and cold - didn’t make it very far but stoked to be part of this. See you again next year.

Garbage. I have never had an app create so much frustration. Deserves zero stars. It sounded like a cool concept so I downloaded it. If you don’t complete sign in from start to finish it automatically starts you all over. Also, there is no event locations for hosted events so I have no clue if I can run one near me, which is what I would prefer. Either way, save yourself 15 minutes of frustration and pass on this terrible app. Instead run a local 5k where the proceeds go to charity.

10 Years. So glad to have the opportunity to run this race for the 19th year. No excuses, we run for those who can’t. We give to make sure that doctors can somehow help those people who have spinal cord injuries. Great run with a friend in our neighborhood. The app run is wonderful. You get a sense that your actually at a race. We still get excited a run as fast as we can before the catcher car gets us. Look forward till next year !!

Stopped working after 6km. It stopped giving notifications after 6km I took the phone out after 10k at 57mins and it says the car catches me and end the run without any info! with my pace I should be able to finish 16-17k. Not joining the virtual run next year

Syncing capabilities. Would love to have this app syncing with the garmin app. Its tough to carry a phone out for a run especially if you are a sci like me

Not recognizing registration. Upgraded phone now app won’t recognize my registration. Is the app specific to one device only?!

Good app. I love this app it shows you your route and how much you’ve ran and/or walked. I really enjoyed this marathon. And it shows you how much you have left for the marathon and I think that it is really well put and the comments are nice!

Less loud noises/pressure to calm nervous system. Only thing I’d say is for commentary/car not to say Run run run because for me who is a walking quad, my nervous system can’t take stress so the pressure causes spasticity or tone/tightness and my legs weren’t working well. Also the noises when the car comes on can be less abrupt so it doesn’t scare anyone. It was a lot of fun and can’t wait for next year! Thanks again!

Happy to be part of this. Even though my distance covered was zero, I’m happy to be part of this. I have high-level quadriplegia and rely on care stuff to get me up in the morning. By the time it came to my turn to be helped, the race was over already. Nevertheless, I am happy to be part of this and contribute to the ongoing research that needs to continue to find a cure for spinal cord related injuries and diseases. A big shout out thanks to the Organizers!

Distance accuracy?. I've only used it once for training but noticed it logged different distances than my normal app (Nike+ running) while running simultaneously. Has anyone else experienced this? It could be just my gps for that one run but hoping to get some more user feedback.

Unnecessary changes. This app use to be really functional. I was able to do training runs easily. With the last upgrade this app is practically useless. The training run does work unless the phone is open and the app is running. This makes no sense especially since they force you to have GPS on always in order to use the app. Revert back to the old version because this new version is a piece of junk.
