Probably my favorite app?. I genuinely don’t even know if I had this regular of a sleep schedule when I was a kid. I have ADHD and would regularly spend until four in the morning researching whatever that week’s new interest was on my phone instead of sleeping. The novelty of getting new buildings, the frustration of a house collapsing, and the desire to keep consistent so I have the funds to configure new areas of my town are all strong enough to keep me from blowing it off, which is a pretty huge feat. Also, when I did hit a patch of not using it for awhile, I discovered the Circles function, and having friends build projects with me gave me the added element of public accountability. The only fundamental way this app could be better would be if you were somehow able to download it onto other devices and your desktop so that you can’t hop from your phone to somewhere else, but also, like, an app can’t actually be a full adult for you, so 🤷🏼‍♀️. (That said, developers, if you could give the option to edit the sleep goals for Circles groups every couple of weeks in case of slight schedule changes in the group, I would love you forever.) Anyway, it’s an incredible app, and my mental and physical health are measurably better for it.

Great motivator. I enjoy this app almost as much as I enjoy the Forest app. Really amazing how much not wanting to see a building destroyed can motivate me to go to bed and wake up on time. The only real downside is that I’ve built pretty much all of the buildings, and I don’t really have that novelty factor anymore to look forward to…another minor thing: if any new designs for buildings are currently in development, I would request some buildings to have entrances that face southeast. Pretty much all the buildings right now have entrances that faces southwest, which make the towns that I design a bit limited in their orientation. Perhaps you could allow us to turn the buildings, like we can turn the other items (benches, tables, etc.) And finally, like the Forest app, it would be great to be able to have a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual view so that I can have a better sense of my progress; right now only the weekly view is available. Thank you for an amazing app and all your work!

Enabling Success. Like the featured reviewer, I, too, have struggled with sleep regularity for my whole life owing to ADD. This has always been a problem for me. It’s caused tension in relationships and meant that I’ve gone around on very little sleep a lot in my professional life. I have been using Forest for a couple years to measure my work and to combat distraction and I downloaded Sleeptown to see if it would have the same benefits. A month later, my sleep regularity is at +90% in Sleep Cycle (where it has never been in the 7 years I've been using that app) and I'm sleeping better, snoring less, and have worked my sleep debt down to almost nothing. I particularly enjoy the phone shaking challenge in the morning. And I can tell this app is going to change my life. **A couple recommendations**: the art is good, but I would enjoy different styles a lot more (like futuristic or steam punk or medieval village… especially a medieval village), and I wish it were 3D (or at least that I could rotate the town on its fixed isographic PoV). And it would be really fun if I could import my trees from Forest and be able to place them in my towns.

I don’t scroll through social media for 3hrs anymore before bedtime!!. I’m a pre-med student so sometimes I run on 4hrs of sleep. I have their forest app for productivity and I got this to change my sleep habits. Your actions are your consequences and I really love the idea of this app. If you’re into cute stuff like this while also getting your sleep in, you’ll love it. This app has an alarm function to ensure you wake up and build your town. It gives you 10 mins after wake up time, or else your building will crumble. Also, you have to make sure you stay in the app in order for your building build while you sleep. Super neat app, will definitely impact my sleeping schedule as I can spend hours scrolling through TikTok or Instagram 😅

Tone of the copy can be improved. I wish the app was much more encouraging. It seems the tone of the copy is out of place at times. It is discouraging to see the message that you failed. I had a long day, tried my best to be on time, was a few minutes late and now I have to see that discouraging message. Perhaps if it said something like, "you didn’t make it on time today, try again tomorrow", I would feel more encouraged to continue using the app to improve my sleeping habits. Please improve the tone of the copy, it would make a world of a difference in terms of user experience.

Surprisingly addictive (the good kind). Alright so it’s not a game, nor will it require time away from anything. I was first brought onto SleepTown by way of Forest which has changed the way I use my iPhone for the better! SleepTown has not only surpassed my expectations but believe or not I am going to bed on time and not spending time on my iPhone (how simple that may sound I know there are millions of us who can’t due to the phone addiction) then waking up to a surprisingly building that provides me with a weird satisfaction that I slept and obtained a building for my town. Look, this is probably not for anyone who could give a rip about spending countless hours on their phones while in bed or could care less about sleep (if this is you... life catches up), but if you are in the class of “I care about the quality of sleep and want to break away from giving my attention to a device that is a time sucking, data hog, irrelevant piece of metal and plastic”... then I would suggest SleepTown.

this is SO GOOD. as a college student, my sleep schedule is WRECKED. I knew something had to change. I haven’t had this consistent of a sleep schedule since I was in middle school. I’m consistently tired when I should go to bed (and I had been taking melatonin before and now I’m on my fourth night in a row of not having to do that. it’s magic) and then I’m used to waking up when it has me waking up. seriously. it’s the best few bucks I’ve ever spent.

Amazing. This is an amazing app. I have had much better habits after using it. I had some days when I just got very tired and needed to sleep around 8 or 9 pm, which is more than 2 hours before my set goal for going to bed. Then the app would tell me that I can only start to build 2 hours before. Sometimes the body’s need is not that strict- I had hoped for some flexibility in terms of how early I could start building- to go sleep earlier is no harm- but went over board surely hurts.

Helps. It actually does help me put my phone down at night. One feature I would like, however, is the ability to make an exception for emergency apps. I have diabetes and and app on my phone that alerts me when my blood sugar is low or high. I’d like to be able to check that one particular app without consequences in case I need to wake up in the middle of the night for a blood sugar emergency. (Don’t worry, I still check it if I have to). Otherwise I’m really enjoying it and appreciate it for helping my sleep schedule!

Love this app! A few suggestions:. I really like the concept and the graphics! It makes going to bed and waking on time easier and more entertaining. It could be better if there was more flexibility for sleeping and waking. Resetting times should not have to reset streaks. People may need to change schedules for various reasons, and it’s inconvenient for them to start over with their building streaks. Also, it would be an improvement to have multiple alarms for those who are deep sleepers. Finally, it would be nice to have a certain buffer time for sleep and wake times so that if I am off by a minute or two, the building won’t completely fail.

Good app but.... Forcing the user to go back into the app to keep progress is an amazing feature, but here is where SleepTown looses a star for me, the two hour waking up period before the alarm goes off and 15 minutes after wake up is to much, for me at least. I wish that there would be more customization with the time allowed before and after the set sleeping period. This app is totally worth the money though. I would love to see continuous updates, I also think they should add a feature where you can set a sleep goal and it adjust your schedule according to your starting sleep time and slowly adjust to reach your goal over a series of nights or whatever set time the user wants. Which goes back to my key complaint, customization. All in all I love this app, and I can’t wait to see how it gets better.

Just doesn’t work. I’ve been trying to use this app for a week. First, the alarm never went off for the first five days. I emailed the developer but got no response. Then it finally did go off - on the day that was supposed to be “off”. So on Saturday I was woken up at 5:45am, finally figured how to turn it off (after waking everyone else up) and went back to sleep. When I did get up, it told me the building had failed. I’ll live with the disappointment, but in terms of tracking habits through visuals, the app clearly doesn’t work. Since it requires me to be on my phone just before bedtime and right as I get up, creates any level of frustration in between (including nearly making me late for work), and doesn’t actually track any sleep habits whatsoever or with any degree of accuracy, I’m not sure this was worth spending the extra money on. It’s too bad, because I really like Forest, which has helped me be more productive at work. But this app seems like it could use some serious re-conceptualizing before it could actually be useful.

Amazing app, and a few features I wish for.. I love this app, honestly. The buildings are cute, but the best part is that it locks me from my phone when I need to sleep. The shaking it to wake up setting actually helps me feel a little more alive in the mornings, too. This really helps me go to sleep or at least chill out until I can. My only complaint is that if I don’t meet my scheduled bedtime, I can’t use the “don’t leave this app” function. I wish that it would let me go into sleep mode, even if I don’t get a building out of it. It’s 12:30am because I didn’t get home until late and I missed my bedtime. It would be cool if it also had a “morning mode” that would automatically lock it for another 10-30 minutes after waking up to encourage me to Rise and Shine, but I suppose I could just use their Forest App if I had the self control. Anyway, great app and I recommend it to everyone I know. I love apps that lock me from my phone.

Changed my nights for the better. I love this app. I’ll admit I sometimes cheat in the mornings. I hit “wake up,” secure my building, then hop back into bed. But it’s impossible to cheat at night. I used to have problems falling asleep because I’d spend an hour or two on my phone lost in some bunny trail. Now my phone is off-limits after 10 because I honestly don’t want to be on my phone that late and loosing my building is enough of a reason to stay off. And you can customize! I just found out about this and this is awesome! The app is also huge. It would take a year to get every building and every achievement so even though I’ve been using it for two months it hasn’t gotten old yet. One recommendation: This might be a stretch but basically can you guys make this into Sim City? Like if you don’t hit the wake up button on time you hear a meteor crash into your building with appropriate screaming? Or if you just built a fair-ground you hear encouraging cheering? It’d be fun :D

On a True Sleep Schedule. Sleepy Town actually makes me want to go to sleep at a decent hour to wake up at a decent hour instead of messing with my sleep schedule every day! Whenever it’s on, and I’m having a bit of insomnia, i don’t think about picking up my phone anymore because I don’t want to destroy the building I’m working on! It gets me to take action against my phone usage at night for sure! Would highly recommend!

Not lively enough. It needs more motivation and determination, as well as consequences. Yes you will not end up with a built building; however, it is not like the app “forest” created by the same developers. “Forest” allows for productivity and its major use due to the consequence from disturbing the growing plant. If you do not complete the process, the plant will die and destroy the forest’s beauty. This dead plant is turned to ash and costs a lot of coins to get rid of. This gives a strong motivator in not breaking the process of the plant growth. What would make this sleep app affective is if it was more lively. For example, towns people going in the buildings. Transportation driving around. Building roads. Build a park for the townspeople to roam and play in. Build a beach or desert. There are multiple things that could be added to make this app a lot more fun and entertaining. It doesn't have to be something that requires a lot of time, but also have a bit more involvement. These are just some suggestions to help make this app grow.

I’m finally having good days!. I noticed that my entire day can be ruined just simply by not sleeping well. I figured that the app costs as much as a soda, so what can it hurt right? This app has already changed my life! I’m in a Doctorate program which means I’m responsible for a lot. It also means that I viewed my time at night as my only free time (8pm to sometimes 1 or 2am) and I’d be back up by 6:30 - my sleep schedule, however, was not very responsible. My phone was the culprit. Once I got this app, I got the best sleep of my life. This app IS self-care!!🤗

This app could be 100x better l. I can't even use it because of the hard and fast bed time. Every other sleep app lets you change your bedtime goal day-to-day if you want. My goal is not to be in bed at PRECISELY 10 pm every single night, it's to get in bed by the bedtime I choose for that day, and go for 8 hours with playing with my phone. I purchased this app because I loved Forest and was super excited to use another one of your apps, and the app is great in every other way. But it's unusable until there is the choice of some flexibility. As soon as that happens I will be happy to update this review, start using the app, and hopefully give a tip if it works well. Pleeeeeeeeease institute this

Wish there was more flexibility. I’m really bad at staying on my phone when I’m in bed so an app like this is really helpful in helping build a habit. However, there are a few things that really make it hard for me to like this app. I really enjoy the “game” aspect of it and how it’s a challenge because it really incentivizes me, but it’s just not realistic to check-in when I go to bed every single time. For example, tonight I missed going to bed by 1 minute and that automatically constitutes as a failure. The problem with this is that now I don’t have an incentive to not be on my phone. I could just move my sleep time to 11pm, but that defeats the purpose of it. While ideally my sleep time is 10:30pm, it’s just not realistic for me to go to bed at exactly that time and sometimes it’s just a matter of forgetting to check in (even with the notification). I would like there to be an option for a “smaller” incentive if you miss your bedtime goal but still don’t want to use your phone at night. i.e. maybe it should count towards half a building or something similar. Unfortunately, this app just isn’t working completely for me at this time but I will keep on using it with the hope it will help.

I want to like this app. So there are definitely things about this app that I like! It’s very cute and a fun way to incentivize not being on your phone before bed. I have the sister app, Forest, for concentration and staying off my phone during the day and that one is perfect in my mind! But this one still needs some changes to be perfect in my mind. I’ve seen a few other reviews suggest having a sleep time window and a wake up window so you don’t automatically fail if you’re off by 15 or 30 minutes, which I agree would be really nice. The strictness of destroying your building if you leave after you decide to go to sleep is effective and I think that should stay, but there definitely needs to be a 30 minute cushion between sleep time and wake up time. My only other complaint is the days off feature. I’ve selected Saturday and Sunday as my days off since that’s when I get to stay up later and sleep in later, but I still get notifications on those days to go to bed in 30 minutes and missing those days still breaks my streak. I hope that some improvements can be made cause I really want to like this app!! It’s just hard to build a sleep habit when it won’t give you weekends or any leeway.

Amazing!!!!. I love how you designed the game and all the houses in the town and it’s very creative and this game has completely been an absolute blast. I got this game a few days ago and I have always enjoyed playing this and I discovered all different types of houses and I think that is very creative of people. I’m thinking that MAYBE you could do a day one which means you can’t use your phone in the day and you will get house furniture and create a mansion.

Too time restrictive. I understand the goal is to help the average person establish the common habit of consistent sleep, but I work a varied schedule and apply a polyphasic sleep style. I like to get up a be active after my initial sleep and then return to sleep for a bit before my day, then nap at my scheduled times and intervals. I have not had much success with applying this app practically and functionally for my lifestyle. I would appreciate a more adaptive approach and I how you can sleep. Please consider some adjustments to help make your app for inclusive and helpful. Thanks for the effort and the good you have and are doing for the people overall. Unfortunately this one isn’t for me, but I am trying. If I change my mind or habits I will update this appropriately. Take care

Very motivational. This app helps me keep off my phone at night. I do recommend setting your wake up time as 10-15 minutes later than when your alarm actually goes off if you like to snooze it like me; the buildings collapse after an unforgivingly exact ten minutes. However, it’s the one app I’ve found that helps me track my sleep schedule and stay on target! Plus it’s super cute and for a one time purchase of only a few bucks is definitely worth trying out.

Clever app, definitely works. I downloaded this app because I’d been having trouble falling asleep at a reasonable time, and it totally works! I’m actually excited to go to sleep on time now, and every morning I wake up eager to see what new building I got. I do wish the app were a little more explicit with instructions, since I didn’t even know I could build my own city until the fifth day of using it 🙈 I hope the app will be updated with new types of buildings!!!! The more variety the better in my opinion. Seriously though, this app is an excellent way to build healthy sleeping habits, and well worth the money

More fun & effective than it seems. I thought I’d download this and immediately stop caring about my little town (aka sleep goals) as I usually do with these types of “games,” but the first time I destroyed a building by oversleeping I had a real sad! The only thing I’d like to see changed is to be able to adjust the sleep goals without resetting progress because I’d like to slowly move my sleep time earlier in the night, but the game is fine because I CAN still beat the sleep deadline and keep progress. It’s just harder when nobody is telling me to, lol! Great game, and I’m glad I learned about it through forest!

Where did the support go?. I love this app! I love building my town and this app has really helped me. I would gladly pay a subscription for it or purchase tickets to get a better chance at getting a better building! But my town has been out of sync for over a week and no one is responding to me from customer support in-app. I had gotten a response before when I asked a question when I first started this app, but this loss of customer service is concerning. I spent months building my town just how I want it, and if it’s gone I suppose it’s gone, but I do hope that is not the case because this app has helped me so much and I do not want to lose interest in it!

😕. Compared to forest , this app seems a lot more complicated and I’ve been using it for a week but I still am baffled about how it works. It’s not so encouraging as well cos you don’t get to buy buildings like you can for forest so it’s kinda not motivating to look forward to. I don’t know what the coins are for too if you can’t buy buildings and only expect unexpected ones to pop up. It’s very expensive to demolish a building too unlike forest . I’m not a big fan of this app , but since I love its brother Forest, I keep using it and am giving a chance anyway. Maybe after using it for a month , my view may change but who knows, of course .🤫

Frustrating/fussy and negative. On one hand I love the building aspect of this app-I've been using it about a month. On the other there are some fundamental design flaws that run for to good sleep hygiene; some of which would happen in any sleep promoting app and others which they could improve. It's never pleasant to wake up to "you have failed" if you oversleep. The alarm does not adjust with any change you make to your target wake up time. The alarm itself is wonky, and doesn't always go off. The controls are fussy and there are far too many rules to do the simple task the app is supposed to do. You have to remember to push "sleep" every night before you go to sleep. I don't see a way around this but it's one more thing to think of when you're in bed. Finally, some creative mind will have to come up with an app that doesn't compel you to be on your phone. Screens are a big part of the reason many of us have bad sleep habits! Plus, it would be nice not to have to be on your phone when you wake up, too. As it stands you have to unlock your phone, go into the app, and activate it (and then collect your coins, so you're immediately playing a game right when you wake up). In short, too much fuss for a simple goal without a lot of incentive.

Like, but need more flexible options. I just got this app and am really excited to try it our!! I was disappointed however by the rigidity of some of the options. I would prefer if the sleeping duration could be set by the user, even if it falls outside of the 4-10 hour recommendation SleepTown gives. I have a hypersomnolence sleep disorder and would love to be able to track the amount of sleep I need in app, especially as it’s really celebratory for me when I’m able to achieve the rest my body needs! Being able to set more than two days off would also be a nice option. Overall, the app looks really cute and I am looking forward to seeing how I might be able to make it work for me :)

Fundamental flaw. I like the concept and it’s very motivating. I’ve actually managed to get to bed on time which seems like a miracle! But it doesn’t really help on the other end because the alarm doesn’t go off consistently. I followed the instructions but it only worked the first night and then hasn’t since. I lost a building and my streak because of this which kind of makes you want to abandon the whole thing. So I guess if I want to continue using this app I’ll have to use another app for the actual alarm. Disappointing. I hope they can fix this bug because then I would definitely give it five stars.

Beware of privacy policy. To get the tickets you need to build special buildings, you have to create an account. They catch you off guard by asking you to do this the first morning you wake up, right as you wake up. Their privacy policy basically allows them to collect everything about you. They collect your birthday as a part of the sign-up, and by signing up you agree that they can share data with and collect from third-parties information like the cookies on your device, your sleeping data, your photo, and more. And these are “[a]mong the types of data” they collect. It appears that the primary purpose of this app is to gather information about you that they can sell to others. Who isn't getting enough sleep and is vulnerable to impulse buys? Now they know.

I love this app. I use this app almost every day and it has been instrumental in helping me get more sleep. My biggest problem is usually telling myself “okay 5 more minutes” and then scrolling through different apps on my phone for the next 2 hours. But since this app gives you a tangible reward for not doing that, I’m finding that it’s so much easier to fall asleep. 5/5 stars, highly recommend for people like me who need motivation to stay off their phones.

Must... Gamify... Every aspect of life. Yes, I don’t care enough about my health to maintain motivation to keep a consistent sleep schedule. “It is good for me” is somehow not enough of a reason to move an abstract intention into action. But for some reason my brain has no problem mustering up a feeling of urgency to create my prosperous virtual town. So, I must hack my brain, so that the lame things it cares about (virtual towns) can actully contribute to my well being. Enter, sleeptown. A nice complement to forest. I only just downloaded it yesterday but I did sleep last night and stayed off my phone, and now I gotta keep the streak going. I’m entering the review to get a free new building. But everything I am saying here is true and certified accurate. Happy sleeping

Adorable and Functional. I enjoy waking up to a new little building that comes with my town! It’s been a fun new habit to integrate into my sleeping/waking routines. I adore sending little screenshots to friends and getting excited over buildings I got. Great app for its cuteness (similar to its sister app, Forest!) and smooth functionality. I’m hoping I can have more little Japan-themed buildings as they are quite close to what I saw when traveling in Japan. So lovely! Thank you for making such a handy and cute app! 💕🌸

So helpful. I’m a medical student and staying on a specific sleep schedule was difficult for me but with SleepTown I’ve been able to stay on track the whole semester so far. Love waking up to the new buildings every day and the only thing I wish was different were the ability to change the orientation of the buildings similar to how we can change the orientation of most of the decorations. Overall this is a great app in my opinion and was well worth the few dollar cost that I spent on it!

Would only change a couple things. I just finished my first building and the app is very fun and useful, however there’s a couple things that I wish users could have a bit more control over. 1. I wish changing your sleep times didn’t affect your streak. I understand the point is the consistent sleep schedule, however I’m sure different users have different goals. For example, my current goal is to just not use my phone once I go to bed and I’m not currently that concerned with sleeping the same times every day at this point. 2. I love the idea of the circles, but I wish it involved people completing their individual sleep goals each night and didn’t require everyone to be on the same sleep schedule.

Missing bedtime. I overall like this app, but my main issue is that once you miss the sleeping time you totally lose out on using any of the apps features. I use this app to keep me off my phone at night and it would be nice to be able to turn on the sleep mode even if you missed your set bedtime. I wake up multiple times during the night and having the app dissuades me from using my phone when I wake up, but if I miss the bedtime I end up not being able to take adventure of that feature. My suggestion would be to allow users to still use sleep mode even if the bed time has been missed. Maybe they don’t earn points from it, but we can still take advantage of the apps features ( which is the most important part of me

:). I like this app! It makes me want to go to bed and wake up "on time" so I don't destroy my building. It would be nice if we could rotate the direction of the buildings in our towns, and have even just a little more freedom in placement inside the square footage of land (so we don't have a lamppost that sits right in the middle of its square--it would be nice if we could place it closer to the edge of the square, like if we wanted to have lamps line the side of the road, for example). Just some thoughts. ;) I like this app, it's a great idea to make going to bed and waking up early fun.

Could use some work.... The alarm has seemed to not be going off for me recently, and all of my buildings this week are gone. The app also seems to be lacking in flexibility in the times. Maybe you can only "go to sleep" 1 hour before the designated time, but when you wake up, there is like 5 minutes of flexibility. But at night there isn't any. You HAVE to be off your phone by that time. I once was watching a movie with my friends and was 5 late of my goal.

Pretty cool. I like the app so far but I don’t like that you can still fail construction on the days you have marked as a day off? Or maybe I just don’t understand that feature yet. All the individual details of the app are kind of hard to figure out but I’ve only been using it for a few weeks and it has accomplished the main goal — getting me on a better sleep schedule and improving my amount of sleep per night.

Once upon a time there was a girl who had trouble sleeping. When I was a senior in college, there was a period of time that I was lost in life. Didn’t know where I’m going after graduation, didn’t know what’s coming for me later in life. I had trouble sleeping, every day and every night. At around three in the morning where my panic peaks, I would pick up my phone and go online shopping (it is that bad, trust me) till about five when I started to see light shine through my window...... Sleep town helped me get my life back. Two years later right now, I have moved to a new city, started a new life, and am proud of the tiny town of 225 buildings in my pocket 😊

Thanks for the help!. As a huge fan of Forest, I had to check this out. I’m constantly wanting time away from my phone, but nighttime is rough, always thinking of one more thing to Google, or one more check of the ‘gram. This app is so motivating in the morning, just the little act of seeing my building and town grow more and more makes me want to keep using it and keep being productive and not self-sabotage with that snooze button. Thanks for this one!

A bit too strict. It’s a nice app but it’s so strict, if you miss by a couple minutes, even if you still get to bed in roughly the same time, the building will be destroyed. Another thing I don’t like is that once you missed my sleeping time that’s it, you failed the night and there’s nothing else you can do. But really, even if I missed my sleeping time by hours, it still helps to just click “build” and put down the phone when I do decide to sleep. I want to use this app for helping me get away from my phone, and i still want to use this feature even if I did miss my sleeping time. But right now “missing you sleeping time” is just the end of the story. I don’t even want to open this app after not being able to build a single house for three days. There’re tracking apps more forgiving rewarding and helpful than this one. ————————— What I think might help is to add a period in which you want to go to bed, then a deadline by which you have to get off your phone. Say you want to sleep at 10pm, it may help to give you a period between 9:30 to 10:30 in which you can hit sleep and start building the house, but still allow you to have some flexibility, say I can still reply to a text at 10:05. But then by 10:30 is the hard deadline after which the house will be destroyed if you look at your phone again.

“Gamifying” healthy habits. I found the UI confusing at first. Wake time and alarm clock time was confusing. How to actually use a Ticket 🎟 was confusing too. I destroyed my first 3 houses on accident as a result. After I figured it out I realized I was using it wrong at first. Am now really enjoying SleepTown. It’s a good way to reinforce healthy habits. It sure is a slow build though to get coins but as other reviewers have said better to do that than letting people buy quick progress. Wouldn’t mind seeing something like Forests elixirs though.

Helps me go to bed on time.. It took a couple days for me to figure out how it all really worked, but I love this app. It’s fun to see the buildings go up and once I have a streak going I don’t want to break it. More nights hitting scheduled sleep/wake times increases your streak which makes your town earn more revenue overnight! I do wish there was more than one “get ready for bed alarm” (as in, I could set reminders for 60, 30, 20, AND 10 minutes before my scheduled time, so I can wrap up what I’m doing and go to bed without rushing). I also wish the ambient sound had a timer - it only plays for a few minutes and that’s never quite enough for me to drift off.

Good app but I wish it were more flexible. So far this app has been pretty motivating in incentivizing going to bed on time, but I wish the buffer were a little longer than 10 minutes, maybe closer to a half hour. I know with gamification apps it’s a tough balance to strike between being too easy so the incentives are meaningless and too strict so that users just quit in frustration, but I feel like there really needs to be some kind of sliding scale of lesser rewards the later you go to bed, or something like that. A problem I’ve come across is that my brain is a petulant jerk at times, and if I accidentally try to go to bed at 10:20 instead of 10 and open the app to be confronted with the unfriendly “you failed” message, then I feel inclined to stay up until 4 AM out of spite. So in that respect the gamification aspect kind of backfires.

Great but.... I really like it and it helps me just I do not like how you can’t turn off your phone. My charger isn’t the best and some people don’t have outlets near their bed. My charger sometimes will just stop charging and die because it was on all night. Then I lose my progress. So please make it so that you can turn your phone off. One other thing, when I have the alarm on it doesn’t seem to go off. So please fix that. One last thing, I do not like how you have to have an account for it can’t we just use the app. Every feature says please sign in and what if I don’t want to make an account for everything.

Getting used to.. Getting used to the app. Really helps me stay off my phone until my alarm goes off which was a big problem of mine before. As soon as I opened my eyes I would want to check social media or mail even if I was planning on going back to sleep. Now I know my building would be destroyed and I didn’t not just put 6 hrs of hard work for that to happen. I would have given this 5 starts but i think the phone is very sensitive, this morning I woke up to a destroyed building but I don’t recall using my phone at all. I’ll have to keep using the app and maybe place the phone a bit farther away so I don’t accidentally move it (I’m thinking that was the case here). Anyways I’m going to go back to sleep for 7 hrs to build another building since the one from last night got destroyed.

So far so good. I’ve only used this for two sleep cycles so far. So far so good! It’s really motivated me to get to sleep and wake up on time because I love building the town. The graphics are really detailed and it’s great eye candy. If the graphics were boring then this app wouldn’t work. I do not agree with the reviewer who said it was “too strict.” There is a 2-hour buffer allowed before bedtime and another before wake-up time. That’s plenty of room. The app has to be a little strict, otherwise it wouldn’t work. So he is wrong. I’m not sure what the long term will be, but I love apps that work right away. You don’t even need an account to try it out. You can set one up later to sync. Thank you for making a visually-appealing app in a crowed marketplace of ugly, flat, fluorescent, pastel, gross-looking, unintuitive apps.

Not a good app for students!. I am a student and I was super excited for this app. But the problem is, I go to school 5 days a week, and have Saturday and Sunday off. I set those days as my “days” off, but when I slept in on Saturday morning, I woke up to a destroyed building. I get up very early for school, and it’s be insane if I got up that early on the weekends just to form a “healthy sleep habit”. Also, there are days of school that we have off for holidays, in service days, snow days, etc. Since most of those days are weekdays, I’m not sure what to do when I want to get up later because we don’t have school. I don’t want my building to be destroyed, but I don’t want to be up at 5:30 in the morning on my day off. I hope you read this review and take it into consideration.

Pretty alarm. Pretty alarm sound, nice tracking, soothing design. Would be good if this data and that of the forest app could be combined or viewed somewhere alongside each other.

It really helps me to leave my phone away. The App is so attractive because of its helping self-discipline mode!

Really useful. SleepTown does offer me a chance to change my sleeping habits. Put down your phone and truly think about what you need to do.

Great concept (first impressions). just downloaded today! i have trouble sleeping because i have eczema which keeps me up itching and restless so i watch videos and play dragon city to tire out my eyes. this is a great way to stop me from doing so because i love the idea of getting a new building every day! also very motivating to get rewarded for sleeping on time hehe ^^ i’m excited to see how my town looks in a month. i discovered this app through an in app notification through forest saying i’ll get a forest house for downloading but i read reviews and i couldn’t wait to start my town!!! can i still get a forest house for being a forest user?

Too inflexible. I wanted to like this app as I have suffered insomnia for so long. Unfortunately, if you don’t wake up easily and even a little late, the app destroys the building and there is no way to erase it. In trying to build good, new habits, it is very hard to get motivated if you just have a block of destroyed building. The game should off a little more motivation and flexibility at the start as there are lots of people that need time to build habits.

Perfect. This app really can help form a good sleep habit. I've used it for a week and had a good quality sleep every night

Very Good but I think there should be modifications. I really like very app much however, a lot of the time I don’t hear the alarm for when to wake you and I feel it only gives like a minute to get up and use the app. Also, I think it should have a similar function to forest in not having a deep sleep mode since when I remember I need to check something on my phone I can’t until the next morning. I also think that it should have more than one schedule for sleep time during the week, since some people like myself get up early but like to sleep in on the weekend. Also with the circle, not everyone has the same sleep schedule so I think it should be modified to people have the choice to have the same sleep schedule or different and get awards together when they complete them, so you have multiple circles to cheer your friends on with making goo sleeping habits. Other than that I think it’s very good, but just needs modifications or new features available.

Alright but the circle sharing needs improvement. App is really great on its own, but if you join a sleep circle with friends you can’t change the sleep schedule Eg. my friends and i would like to make our sleep goal 12am-6am for now and slowly change it to 12am-5am as we adjust, but this isn’t an option. Please fix this so the group circle sleep times aren’t permanent!

Fantastic way to make sure my kids aren’t using their devices at night. My kids compete with me and each other to build the best town - all without noticing that I’m using it to enforce the no-devices-after-dinnertime rule :)

SleepTown works but strict. SleepTown is so useful but when I fail on my task sometimes it convinces me to stay up longer on my phone and it will only let you get ten hours of sleep or less overall love it and is worth the money

Does not allow for sleeping late - makes the app useless to me PLEASE FIX THIS. If I accidentally go to bed even 10 minutes past my set bed time then I’m not even allowed to press sleep on the app. It’s ridiculous, I really like sleep towns alarm but the fact that it doesn’t allow for going to bed too late just means that if I DO miss my bedtime, I immediately lose all motivation to actually go to sleep. The only solution is to set the bedtime on the app for later than you actually go to bed, but then you also lose motivation to go to bed at the right time. I don’t understand why there isn’t some kind of points system to rate how close to your bedtime goals you are. I just feel like it’s such a stupid “feature” of the app, because it feels like I’m being punished or judged for something that a lot of the time is out of my control, I wish there was a way to at least turn this off.

Reece. Great App, not only for getting to sleep on time, but you get to wake up to a brand new building each morning! What a way to start your day, right? I have 111 buildings so I have had this app for about 5 months, admittedly missing a night every so often, but I still enjoy it.

Pretty but inflexible. It’s very pretty but it doesn’t allow for any slight mistake. It’s annoying when you miss your sleep time by a few minutes and you have to wait until the next day to try again. I’d still like to be stopped from using my phone even if I miss the deadline.

Hopefully this will work.... I’ve been having a lot of trouble with keeping up a healthy and consistent sleeping schedule. Having used Forest and benefitted from that, I’m hoping this will give me the incentive to sleep better and spend more time away from my phone. (Mainly doing this to get an in-game reward, but hopefully it helps me with sleep too)

Sleep Hygiene!!. I have always struggled with sleep hygiene and has jeopardised my studies... but just to have that little bit more motivation to stay off my phone has really helped me out!!

Build your own town. This app helps me to put down my phone and sleep. It’s full of fun little houses and buildings. You can DIY your own town and construct world wonders in the meantime. Now, I’m expecting another world wonder and I’ll sleep on time to achieve that! Good works sheep town people!!

Fantastic. This app is amazing. You ever wanted to be guilted into sleeping?? Well boy do I have news for you if you miss your bedtime you’ve failed and don’t get a little building. More motivational than anything I’ve ever tried. I’m trying so hard to build my little town up. Endnote: don’t want to sleep? Don’t get this because it sure is amazing at getting me to sleep on time

Nice surprise every morning. Good one to keep you a bit surprised every morning when you wake up

Good for getting you to put your phone away. I don’t feel that this app helps you sleep as it doesn’t do anything. However it’s really good in that it makes you not use your phone during specified hours. If you use the phone during the sleep time, your construction will fail. Yo can only make custom towns on small grids which is annoying. I would like to use the large grids for that.

The sleep time alert needs to be louder.. I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but I haven’t once heard the alert to remind me to go to bed. I have checked notifications are turned on, and they are. Which means I need to set an independent alarm for a thing that should be telling me to go to bed… seems redundant? I also rarely hear the wake up alarm - I get woken up by my phones alarm. Perhaps they need a few more options for both alarms? So we can set the times the tone and how loud they remind us?

Great, but... This is a fantastic app for me during the week when I need to get up and go to school, and it motivates me to get the right amount of sleep which is brilliant, but I don’t think it has synced to the days I need off, because over this weekend I’ve failed both days even though I had selected to have them off. Otherwise I love this app- can this be fixed?

Very useful, but.... Love this app. I know building a virtual city seems like a silly incentive to sleep on-time; but you really grow invested in seeing your town grow! My only gripe is, I purchased a song from the iTunes store to use as my custom alarm sound. However, when my 7:00 alarm rings and my phone is locked, the default tone plays; my custom one only sounds when I unlock my phone, which makes it pretty useless. Is a fix possible? Otherwise, great app!

Really helped me keep my goals!!!. SleepTown does exactly what says it would and it’s so satisfying waking up in the morning to see a building has been built

Good app, needs a little more flexibility. The inability to change your sleep schedule after you’ve set it isn’t great, and it could stand to be a little more forgiving if you hit the “sleep” button 5 minutes late, but otherwise this is really good and cute.

Amazing idea and design. I love it so much! It’s such an amazing idea to look after our sleeping patterns with friends. It’s easy to use and the designs are fun! But it would be better if we could message or react with friends too!

Want more updates!. Looking forward to seeing more updates!

Great Incentive. Great incentive to keep on track for your sleep goals. I’ve reduced a star for the extreme coin cost to edit/creat a town or to demolish old/ruined buildings....like why does it cost 200 coins to remove remains of buildings which were never created in the first place?? Its ott.

Great app for regulating sleeping. With SleepTown, every night before sleeping I don’t need to struggle to put down my phone any more, also there’s interesting Town design which prompt users to cultivate a good sleeping habit in order to get the full collection of buildings. Well done, sleepingTown.

Good app. I have used it to motivate the kids to put down their devices early in the evenings. It works a treat as they try to complete with each other for the best town. Only issue we are having is that we are not able to move the buildings around.

Really motivating!. Finally, I can get rewarded for putting my phone down and actually sleeping! The UI is beautiful in this app and you get a true feeling you are working on something larger when you decide not to stay that extra twenty minutes on your phone at night (or in my case couple of hours). I'm very excited to build up my city and to see what future updates and customizations there is to come. PS. This DOES work with SleepCycle. Just setup SleepCycle, then go to SleepTown and press sleep, then lock your phone while staying in the SleepTown app :)

Cute and useful. After 2 weeks, I’m finding the app does help me avoid my phone at certain hours. Would be great if flexible hours could be set. Would also like to rotate buildings.

Keep off yr phone. No longer burn hours on social media. Put away the phone and get some sleep!

VERY WELL DESIGNED. The simple yet imposing design is perfect for anyone who needs to get strict about sleeping times. I’m a long time user of Forest (their other app) and the way this one manages its coin system is super cool and well adapted to the needs this app aims to fulfil.

Great potential with glaring problems. There needs to be an option for flexible sleep time. We should focus on the amount of hours slept, not always when. It's also ridiculous not to be able to use your phone if you get up in the middle of the night. At least make that an option, like how in Forest you can opt to use your phone during growing. The unexpected sometimes happens.

Neeeeed new feature!!!!!!. Hope people in the same circle can set the different sleep & wake up time and still can earn the energy for the construction!!!!!!!

Love it, helps me sleep!. Love using the app, it’s worth the money paying for it. I don’t remember the last time I sleep at a consistent time. Now I can, and I set a bedtime and know that I need to get off my phone to construct a building and when I wake up it’s cool to see which building you get. It’s a very good motivator to get to bed on time and wake up. Help me retain a good sleep schedule. Love both this app and the Forest app😃

It works. This app has be going to bed on time and NOT checking my socials during the night, enabling a better sleep routine! Definitely recommend!!!

Good to get me off my phone. This app is great at keeping me from scrolling through social media at night :) getting a better nights sleep from this!

Worth to have. Nice with those who can’t control playing phone before bed time!! Just like me🤩

Great forcing tool!. The homepage of the App is absolutely delicate and beautiful. Clear and easy to use. The notion of constructing a town while you are sleeping is so fancy and powerful. I will definitely consist with it!

Cute and helpful. I don’t always get to sleep on time but I’m more conscious about my sleeping patterns. I’m definitely in a more regular sleeping pattern than I was after a few months with the app. Worth trying if your bedtime is l over the place.

Very cute app. Well designed, but sometimes the main page crashes and says the building has been destroyed before the sleep button has been pressed. Otherwise, the app runs quite smoothly

BRILLIANT !!. 10/10 would recommend this app!!! such a good and creative way to motivate you to stick to a sleep schedule of your choice :) 100% should download ✅✅✅

Helpful, but not really. I can definitely see how this app can help me get more regular sleep, but as others have said, it is a bit inflexible, and I say this because every day of the week for me is very different, some days start later, and some earlier.

Motivating and cute. This app has a lovely interface and it is motivating to see what building you will get, very simple and I am enjoying trying it out

Great way to stop using your phone at night. Ive always struggled with putting down my phone at night. Ive tried the ios bedtime, creating shortcuts to disable internet etc. what finally ending working is using this app to make me want to build little buildings while i dont use my phone. One problem is that i use it to help wind down prior to bed time (eg stop using phone an hour + prior to sleeping) and the hard 10 hour maximum sleep period can be insufficient at times. Would be great if there was no limit on sleep time! Thanks developer.

should have gotten it earlier. Frankly, when I saw the price on the app, I thought REALLY? But after night over night procrastination and resulting in poor energy and health, I decided to give it a go. And it removed ALL my excuses! My issue was easily distracted by phone (games and news) so everytime, it feels like 1 or 3 more minute then it became 2 AM in the morning. This app definitely helped to set the hard deadline in a fun way (of accomplishing new buildings and wonders with friends and families). Since the OFF Screen time, Habitica, and Screen time limit did not work for me, I'm really glad this does.

🥰. SleepTown has stopped me from being on my phone at ridiculous hours of the night! Definitely recommend.

very cool. It is so interesting. I love seeing that many small houses are being built day by day, and, it really helps me sleep and get up early. Nice ~

just downloaded!. but definitely loving this app so far

good. 刚好i不好

it works. sure cute app. very helpful if you’re prone to staying up too late.

very good. good

good. Please make an alarm option similar to the default apple one with only vibrating at first

非常可爱的软件. 满足拖延症且收集癖并且爱玩手机的人

Great way to make a game of good habits. This app has really helped me to get better sleeping habits. Since starting university, my sleep schedule fell apart, so I decided to get back on track and SleepTown has really helped. Now I sleep better than I did before university and I do better in my classes!!

Thank you!. Thanks!

Doesn’t make sense. It’s annoying that leaving the app causes the building to stop I use a separate app to analyze my sleep but I can’t use it without the building stopping

Nonsense. It makes no sense to me that your building get destroyed if you “sleep in” when In reality I’m trying to use my phone less and this feature isn’t really helping. Other than that it’s really great. Please implement something to be able to change this. Thanks!

Good!. such an interesting app

Amazing. This game is an incredible way to motivate me to go to bed, really like it

Needs changes. I think it’s a really cute idea, but not flexible at all. Some days I sleep in more than others, but SleepTown doesn’t allow you to change your schedule day to day, only weekly (or else you lose a bonus). I think it’s unrealistic to maintain the same sleep schedule all week without being able to change the dates less than 24 hours before

It’s a very cute app. I highly recommend this app. It encouraged me to go to sleep on time.

love it!. makes me stay off my phone at night and i’m able to focus on sleeping. i guess something as simple as the little reward of a tiny house is all i need haha, very excited to try and collect all buildings! however, forest is still my favourite app by this company, i stay on task way more and get more work done with it, defiantly recommend!

Buggy and frustrating. I’ve gotten inconsistent in my use of this app, because of how often it messes up. With Forest, you need to actively quit the app and do something else, for it to fail you. Sleeptown? Who knows! It will boot you out for turning the screen of your phone on to check the time in the middle of the night, or when a notification comes in, or apparently just because it feels like it. Waste of time.

异地情侣查岗必备. 如题,不告诉对方能关严格模式的话,基本就是异地情侣掌握对方晚上动向的好办法

An Idea. Love the interface and idea behind the app. Although, what motivates me to use Forest is that ability to plant real trees with my coins. SleepTown doesn’t motivate me enough; if you could, say, buy bricks to build houses in developing countries with your coins, I’d be much more motivated to use it. Just an idea!

Actually works!. Great way to promote sleeping on time on schedule. Sleep is so important so I’m grateful.

nice. great app

Circle feature pretty useless. I thought the Circle feature might be neat for my house mates. Unfortunately though everyone in the circle must have the same sleep and wake time which is useless for us because I get off work at the same time one of my housemates wakes up. Would love to see Circles in which people can have different bedtimes and still contribute. I messaged customer support through the app to request this and they haven't seen the message after a week. The app is great outside of that, but just don't expect too much ongoing support by the looks of things. Will adjust review if this changes.

Avis. Magique l’appli sa aide trop pour se motiver à dormir

Great idea. Love the idea! Me and my wife will be using this app!

downloaded and deleted. I will never use an app that I have to sign into before using. you don’t need my personal information to let me play a game I paid for. I regret wasting my money on a game I deleted less than an hour after I purchased it. privacy matters to me.

好用. 对没有自律的人来说真的是太有用了

Great for sleep. This has helped me SO MUCH thank youuu

Great app, also recommend their other apps. It’s useful for putting yourself on a sleeping schedule. 💤 I also use their app “forest” which helps you stay focused during the day and their WaterDo app which helps you remember to do tasks in a fun way. 🌲💧‼️ Why I mention: By using yhe forest app you can plant actual trees once you earn enough coins 🪙🌲, and by using the WaterDo app they let you donate water to the water project after you do enough daily reflections. 💧📝 It’s nice seeing companies care about giving to the community and environment in a fun way that keeps everyone engaged and motivated to achieve better in their own lives. 🎖️‼️ Great concept and 10/10 would recommend all three. 🌎💕

love this!. an adorably designed and useful app

Géniale. J’ai trouvé un appli pour me motiver a me couché

Good. useful for me

Useful app. This app can improve my sleep quality.

Useful app to build good sleeping habits. I love this one and Forest a lot. They are good to improve efficiency and get high-quality rest.

Sleeping fun. Build while you sleep. Helps you to leave your phone alone. Wake up to a new creation.

M’as l’air parfait. Application très flexible avec d’assez beaux graphismes et couleurs. Ça d’implicité et son aide est son point fort

Great app but wish it integrated w Forest. I love this app, but an issue I have is when I wake up and confirm the construction of my building, I am flooded by e-mail, social media etc notifications and then am spending time on my device I wouldn’t have normally spent had I not used the app to check on my sleep town. It would be great if, once a building was confirmed upon wake up, the app could transition into Forest, forcing me off my phone to start my day :)

Effective and Worth it. Great app, very organized and motivational to follow a set sleep schedule. I’m a forest user and this acts just like it. Best investment I made alongside Forest.

for the fountain. Nice

Great concept. I highly suggest this app to anyone who struggles to put their phone down at night. It’s a great app for teaching good sleep habits and I’ve benefited greatly from this app. I now have a regular sleeping habit and look forward to waking up well rested daily.

Excellent!!. Stop me from watching my phone when I lay down in bed!

Good app. Great for managing and getting enough sleep

Forces you to use your information.... Even though you pay for the app... they withhold basic features (getting/using tickets, choosing buildings, etc.)... as an incentive to make you sign up for an account! Sleep habits is personal information. Add the basic features to the premium version of the app—without forcing users to give their personal information! I contacted them—they didn't even reply. NOTE: I will change this review if all features are added to the app (without needing to sign up for an account).

Une nouvelle motivation pour prendre soin de soi. Cette application me sauve.

nice app. good

Please support widget!!!!!. Please support widget, it’s gonna be sooo helpful! Love this app without recording my voices.

really good. its so worth it

Like this idea. Neat idea am giving it a try this week

It’s god. It’s good

Lots Of Potential. This is a really neat idea, I enjoy the overall appeal of having a town grow while I sleep. However it has limited features right now but it is still young and I’m sure updates are quickly approaching. It needs a few more options (different times for different days, tracking sleep even when you miss your goal, etc) if it really wants to compete with some of the more sophisticated sleep tracker apps on the market. Also I would like to see more uses for coins, rewards are a powerful motivator and there need to be more to obtain. Also for the customizable towns, roads shouldn't come with the land, I think they should be purchased and moveable. Overall a great idea with a lot of potential, I look forward to future updates.

Ver nice. Yup

Very good. It is really a good way to be self-disciplined.

I hope friends in circle can have different schedule. I’d like to build the town with my friends, but the circle feature requires same schedule for everyone. It does not work for us because we have different conditions. I hope the circle allows participants to have personal schedule and they can contribute by meet their goals.

Good intentions.... This app sounds so great, but it is really rigid. I didn’t like it much. My building collapsed because I woke up late on the day I chose in the app as my off day. 🤷🏽‍♀️ one collapsed because I clicked the sleep button at 10:31. :( sometimes your schedule means you have to stay up for something and it doesn’t account for any flexibility at all. Maybe it should reward you with one day of freedom if you build so many buildings correctly.

Cute useful app!. I’ve used Sleeptown for a few days and it has already improved my sleep. It is simple and easy to use. You build cute little buildings every night by sleeping. It will give you motivation to sleep the whole night through and leave your cell phone untouched.

Helpful Sleeping App. Got this app recently and it worked just like you would expect. However, after daylight savings time you cannot successfully build anything, even if you follow your schedule correctly. The app is effectively broken until this is fixed. EDIT: Devs got back to me and the issue seems to be resolved. So now it's a solid gamified sleeping app once more.

Way too rigid. Like others have said, this app could be great. It's simply too rigid about when it needs you to "punch in". I try to go to sleep at 12am. If get to my phone at 12:01am, I failed for the night. That screws me up because now I won't be able to use the apps alarm to wake me up. This is bad because I really like the apps alarm as it forces me to the "shake the phone" to shut it off. With the apps alarms disabled, now I am more tempted to snooze in the morning . You see where I'm going with this? This app is TOO RIGID. Developers need to put in a 5 minute "grace period".

not perfect but unexpectedly helpful. im a person who struggles with sleeping in so i wish there was a way that allows me to oversleep without destroying my house. the guidelines are a little confusing too. But regardless I have found myself going to bed earlier much more consistently with this app. I like how it measures time in bed instead of actual time asleep because I can’t control how much I sleep but I can moniter bedtimes and that helps.

Amazing app - Needs updates. This app has single-handedly fixed my sleeping. My town brings me so much happiness and I’ve been going strong for my ver a month. What is really a shame is how this app is no longer getting updates or attention by the developers. There’s no new tiles, events, buildings or anything, which is what the app should get its life from.

Push error.... I really love this app! However, after the update, it suddenly cancels construction whenever there is push alarm from another app. My parents are over broad and because of the time difference I get messages during my sleep time. My phone is also in night mode so I only have push messages (without sound so I can see the messages when I get up), and any push messages during the construction will automatically cancel the construction. Of course there is push message that notices me to go back to the app, but it is meaningless because I can’t see it while I’m sleeping. Last week I went to bed at designated time everyday, but I got only one successfully built because of that issue... I really hope this issues is resolved soon...

Awesome. SleepTown has definitely helped me stay on track with a sleep schedule. I decided I needed to wake up earlier and I would always use my phone late into the night, but that all changed with this app. The gamification really works and I enjoy seeing all the different buildings I’ve made. I do think that adding a 5 minute buffer time would be nice, but either way, i’ve always gone to bed on time. Thank you!

Defeats the purpose.. Purchased this app because the UI looked nice and wanted an app that would get me out of bed by a certain time very morning. From the concept, this seemed like it would work. First night, alarm never went off in the morning. Even when I hit wake up after the require time, I still was awarded the building instead of being punished. Maybe I misunderstood the app, but three days later of the same thing, something just don’t seem right. Apparently if you want this app to hold you accountable, it won’t. UI was still nice though so here’s your two stars.

Love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰. So far I love it. It’s been a great way to keep me from going on my phone at bedtime and a great tool to use to get up in the morning on time. My only problem is the alarm hasn’t been going off in the morning so maybe I need to check on the settings other then that it’s great.

Cute App for Getting to Bed. I have used Forest for years and just discovered SleepTown. It’s a simple and cute way to help me get off my phone so I can get some sleep. Definitely recommend if your goal is to put your phone away at the end of the day.

Miracle. My sleep schedule was a big mess and I was about to start a new job, so I needed help getting back on track. This app is the perfect solution, so simple and easy to follow, and it’s gotten me back on a regular schedule. Most importantly, it really helps with phone use before bed. Would love to see more updates. Thank you!

Worth it!. This app has helped me improve my sleeping habits so much, I used to get up and check my phone at night a ton, but now I have motivation not to. This helps me get the sleep I need while still being able to have enough time during the day. Totally worth paying $2.

Super excited to use it, but. Just downloaded this app. Will rate again a month in. I’m a HUGGGGE fan of Forest. It’s my favorite app. This app from the start is a bit more glitchy and slow. Plus, I wanted to be able to put my phone to bed at 7pm (I will be going to bed at 11), and wake up the phone at 10am (I will be getting up at 7am), But it wouldn’t let me set it for that long of a time period. I want to be distraction free in the mornings and nights. Being able I set it for any amount of time would be super helpful. I can’t be the only one wanting this.

Feature requests to make the app easier to use. I’m wondering if live activities would make this app work better by not forcing us to remember to leave the app open before locking our phone? Additionally, live activities could automatically start at the set time AND in the morning when we wake up we could tap on it to instantly launch the app and hit done, right? Additionally, shortcut support could be nice for easy start/stop sleep. Especially because iOS already has a builder on automation trigger for waking up, so it would be easy to set up an automation like: Trigger: When waking up Action: end sleep town sleep session (for example) Please consider this for your app, thank you

Too rigid but I have a suggestion. I have a bad habit of going to bed too late, and of using my phone before bed. This app tries to alleviate that issue and I think that’s great. Forest is also an amazing app. That said, I wish I could adjust my bedtime without completely resetting my streak progress: My ideal bedtime would be 10:45. Before using the app, my bedtime was closer to 2:00 AM. I set 1:30 AM as a bedtime to have something to shoot for. So if I go to bed between 11:30 and 1:30 I can hit the “sleep” button and be good. I slowly worked back to a better bedtime. Now that I’m in the rhythm, there are nights where I want to go to bed at 11:00 PM but I have to wait extra time to hit the “sleep” button. Counter-productive. MY SUGGESTION: Allow bedtime and/or wake up time to be adjusted by 10 minutes every day without penalty, so that people like me can slowly reach a good habit.

Amazing!. I track my sleep in Apple Health, and I can clearly see a before and after change in my sleep pattern. I’ve been using this app for a month now, and it single-handedly fixed my sleep issues; I feel 100% better. I feel a bit silly using it - I’m a grownup and shouldn’t be that excited about my little toy town - but if it works, it works.

Doing its Job. Aside from getting a good nights sleep, I’m using this app to make me get off my phone before I go to bed. The fact that the idea of a digital house is taking me off my phone is incredible. I’ve got two of this companies apps now and both have been super helpful. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next. I wish the alarm was louder cause I’ve slept through it a few times and lost a streak but other than that it’s great.

Surprisingly Motivating. While I don’t have trouble getting enough sleep in general, I find it very difficult to sleep consistently, which causes a wealth of problems. I find it impossible to fall asleep, difficult to wake up, and I rarely feel well-rested. This app has helped me adhere to a schedule, and even a few days in I’m feeling healthier than ever.

A totally awesome app! Keep it up!. It is no overstatement that this is like the best sleeping app I have ever used, and it totally deserves a 5 star, just like the Forest app by the same developer. I didn't get any of the problems stated in other non-5-star comments over the past month, and it indeed helped me to force myself go to bed early and stop being a night owl. This app is a wonderful idea, please keep it up!

I’m actually going to bed on time. This is a fun way to stay on track with going to bed on time. I used to say to myself, “I’ll just check one thing on my phone and then go to sleep.” That one thing would turn into an hour of phone time, causing me to get an hour less sleep. Since using this app, I now go to bed on time and read on my kindle until I get sleepy. I love this app!

Nice. i came here from the forest app and just like forest, i quickly fell in love. the only thing i have to say is that i came for a bonus that forest users were supposed to get but i didn’t get it. however that does not detract from the good it has done for me in fixing my horrid sleep schedule

good could be better. This app is good, I love all the buildings and the approach it takes to motivate you to sleep. However there could be improvements. First of all I think it would be nice to have an option to choose whether you are strict about bedtime but not wake up time or vice versa. For busy people like me I use this app mainly to motivate me to go to sleep on time. Most of the time I wake up at the same time but obviously I still oversleep sometimes — but this is a good thing for me because of how sleep deprived I am, and I wouldn’t like to be penalized for that.

Great app could use improvements though.. I love the app! It helps to keep me on my sleep schedule without a problem. But the one thing that irks me is that fact that when you forget to say you got up there is no way to change it. So you just get a destroyed building even though you got up on time. Other than that I love it.

alright. cool concept to create towns, except the towns dont really do anything except stand there. i suggest adding titles and descriptions to each of the buildings to add more value to them, the way the forest app does. just a building doesnt have much motivational value. its also not fair to have buildings that dont produce any revenue, such as the treehouse. any building results from the same discipline to sleep on time, so each building should have a reward in coins. it’s also way too expensive to choose the next building to build, considering how little the revenue is and how it takes so long to make so little. please raise the revenue of each building, even a little bit. i dont know if i would recommend this app, since it doesnt have much of a rewarding/exciting feeling.

I can finally sleep. This app is amazing and has really helped regulate my sleep schedule. One thing that i would want to see is a change in how circles are run. My friend has to wake up at 4:45am for her job but i wake up at 8am. I really dont want to wake up at 4am but i also really want to have a circle with her. Please change it so that we can both work towards our different goals!

Glitchy - can I have my money back please. First of all, it’s glitchy and I’ve tried using it for almost a week. I’ve only even successful 2 nights because it’s inconsistent. It thought I overslept even after I clicked the awake button. I thought it was ok until I looked at it later in the day to find out the building failed (again). Plus, you can’t use a sleep tracking app (I was trying to use one with a smart alarm because this app doesn’t have one) along side this app because it thinks you’re using your phone when I was just shutting off an alarm. Save your money and try another app.

Best. Sleep. App. Ever.. I have tried every single sleep app invented to try and correct my messed up sleep schedule, and nothing has worked until I found this. It is the perfect motivation for me. The consecutive day benefits and wondering what building I’m going to build next keeps me going specifically. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Motivating. Honestly, this app has been a good incentive for me and has helped me to be more consistent with my sleep. Once you have a streak going it makes you want to keep it, but most of all I look forward to discovering what building I got the following day.

House won’t collapse bug. I just recently got a new phone. This morning I woke up late and failed my goal but my house didn’t collapse. I keep trying to press the Give Up button but it isn’t working, and even though I’m on strict mode leaving the app won’t collapse the building either. I eventually thought to force close the app which finally triggered a fail. I’m not sure what the issue was because I’ve never had this problem on any other phones.

I’m starting with 5 stars…. Then it either remains 5 stars because I don’t remember to come back and do it, but, also, it gives me the freedom to change as I learn more about the app and how well it works for me. I am using this app in conjunction with ‘Forest’

Awesome!. I got this app for me and my boyfriend. We live together and are guilty of staying up until 4-5AM, so hopefully this helps with our sleep schedule! I have been using your other app, The Plant Focus app, and I would love to see a widget for sleep town like there is for plant focus!

Wish it was more flexible. This is a great app that I use almost every night, but it is a bit too strict. If you miss the bedtime by even 1 minute, you’ve broken your streak for that night. I wish there was a 30 minute grace period instead of the harshness. Other than that it’s a great app, and if you have trouble getting to sleep on a set schedule I highly recommend it.

Great. Amazing way to develop and maintain a good sleeping schedule. I especially struggle with this during the summer or other breaks (I am a student btw) where I usually stay up until 1 or 2 and wake up at 11-12 with no motivation to get anything done. Would recommend this app to anyone who is struggling with sleeping on time and staying up (funny how these days technology is being developed to prevent you from using technology)

it’s a great functioning app but…. i see why the app recommends that you leave your iphone plugged in while you’re asleep. this is inconvenient for me because i like to have my phone right next to me. i meditate before i sleep and when i wake up. i wear my apple headphones. so, having too many cords restricts my movements and i don’t feel safe keeping the iphone plugged in while i’m asleep. the main issue for me too is that this app uses up so much battery power that i end up having to charge my phone twice in a day. without using this app my battery power by around 5 to 6 pm is down to 68%. but when i use this app, my battery power is down to around 30% by around 10 am. if you improve the output by having the app use less power then i might use this app more. for now i will delete this app from my phone. this app is too power hungry 🤤 😢

Noice. This app is actually encouraging me to fix my sleep schedule in a cute lil sims-like town-building way, I get exited to wake up & see the new building I've earned every day. Only issue is i don't entirely understand the weekend snooze option, as I regularly sleep in on weekends, but it still builds and destroys a new house, which is then on my lil digital (unedit-able) property block. That issue might just me on me reading something wrong though tbh. In conclusion, this is a cute app and I am HERE for it.

Kinda Nice :'). This app will not force you to build a healthy routine. Only you can control whether or not your sleep matters to you. However, this is a nice app to track progress and have a little bit of fun, external purpose. I like building little towns and generating revenue. I don't yet play with friends, but I hope to get some on board because I like goal setting with accountability from others. Ultimately, it must be on you to decide to listen to the little notification that tells you to go to bed in 15 minutes. Get back on it if you break a streak. Try not to lose your cool. And honestly? Get some sleep. :) This app is a good one, and I thank those who put in the work to make it as good as it is.

Good but alarm fails. Alarm did not go off for at least several days, even though a house was being built. The failure messed up my schedule on those days. I already downloaded the latest updates and it still failed. Disappointed. Otherwise on the days it worked it helped me wake up.

Fun app. I don’t really use sleeping apps because I end up disregarding the bedtime and wake up times, having this really helps me a lot considering I have something to keep me accountable. I also enjoy the group circle option, I want to use it with my friend so that we can make sure we both go to sleep and wake up at the right time.

Good but... suggestions to make more fun. I think it’ll be cool if they add motivation like if you sleepy early on Sunday (since Monday is when work week starts) you can bonus points, something where it’s exciting and rewarding, maybe have something that happens based on random chance where you it tells you will get double the points if you go to bed on time THAT night.

Multiple sleep times. I love Forest it works when you need it to and simple and easy to use. The problem with Sleep Town for me, is I work both morning shifts and night shifts. So I have to constantly change my sleep schedule. This app just makes me feel like a failure since I can’t get a streak because I have to change the times around which I’m not allowed to. They need a better way to deal with the sleep times for people with various sleep schedules.

The Importance of Sleep. Our evolutionary ancestors had very regular sleep schedules: they slept when the lights went out and woke up at sunrise. Today, we struggle with sleeping at regular times because of modern technology. This demolishes our immune systems, contributes to psychiatric conditions, and lowers our performance as humans. This makes apps like Sleeptown excellent tools for improving our health.

So helpful!. This app was well worth the price, it helped me create a healthy balance of sleep in no time. It’s not strict if you don’t want it to be, and doesn’t punish you harshly for skipping a day or something like that. It’s super cute and has all different sorts of features on it. I recommend if you would like an accountability app for sleep :)

Excellent and cute app for sleep monitoring. SleepTown is a great app to help me monitor my sleep, and I love that it gives me a reminder based on a time period of my choice. It also has a cute building mechanism, where you get different buildings in your town when you press the wake up button. Love this app for helping me fix my sleep schedule! Definitely recommend it!

achievements. I really like this app, and it keeps me on top of my sleep schedule. My only issue is that some of the achievements are confusing. I don't know what they mean or how to do them. I think I've visited my town multiple times, but I haven't gotten the achievement for it. I don't know how to oversee construction. It would be better if the text for the achievements explained how to do those things.

Like it but can we have different goals in the same circle. I love this app. But when I invite my husband to monitor each other’s sleeping time, we have to set the same goal. This is not very practical and it is restrictive to family members for encouraging each other to form a healthy sleeping habit. Everyone has different sleeping time. A circle should not force the same goal.

Love it!. I love this app. As someone who needs a game for just about everything to stay engaged, this is an awesome app to make sure you actually put your phone down and sleep. I also use the study app Forest, by the same developer and love it equally the same.
