This app has been so helpful. This app helped me to realize majority of my pre-pregnancy skincare was unsuitable during pregnancy! I have been able to find pregnancy safe swaps with ease through the app and I am so happy this app exists!

Disappointing if I’m honest. I didn’t read the reviews prior to buying the app and am pretty disappointed that I purchased it. If there had been a way to test drive it I never would have, though it’s only $4 and perhaps will improve in the future. Here are my major gripes in a hope it will be helpful for the design team and other users: - You must have the physical product in hand to scan, there is no way to upload a list or use a camera role photo. Therefore this isn’t helpful for checking the safety of products prior to ordering them online. - It seems as though they aren’t leveraging the power of AI to have a more robust ability to check thousands of ingredients. I used to work in the cosmetics industry and it appears the app is limited in its ability due to a small ingredient database. - You cannot search by a product name or brand to get a sense of safety for the product as a whole (again I feel like we have this technology now) which is frustrating as a user as we are rarely looking at singular ingredients and ideally would know the safety level of a product in its totality.

Review. Obsessed with this app and wish I had it for my first pregnancy (currently pregnant with number two)!! As a physician I knew the obvious things to avoid but really wanted to optimize clean ingredients while carrying and an online search for what ingredients to avoid only left me feeling more confused and overwhelmed. This app makes all things skincare during pregnancy so simple and puts your mind at ease plus love the explanations it provides to make educated choices. 100% worth the purchase and would recommend for all my pregnant mamas!

The best tool you can have during pregnancy. I read so much about hateful ingredients during pregnancy and was always so freaked out when I go in store to buy something. My friend told me about LIttle Bean and it changed my life. I can walk in and out of the store with products I know won’t cause any harm for me. Girls it’s a game changer and time saver that we all need.

Great start. This app had saved me so much time. I can quickly look up harmful ingredients instead of researching each one individually. It would be even better if it also was able to scan product barcodes and allowed you too type in food names as well. That way I can also check if what I'm ingesting is safe.

The best app for pregnancy and breastfeeding mamas!!. If you want to check all of your ingredients (for free) and see if they are safe this is for you. I have used this for years and find it so helpful. Just scan the ingredients and let the info pop up!

Brilliant App!. I love this app so much for helping moms-to-be know exactly what’s going on their skin and if it’s beneficial or not for her and her baby! There are so much products out there without warning labels, it’s reassuring to know this app is here to help.

Honestly a wast of money. I wish this scanned barcodes (which I thought it did until I purchased and opened it) so I could be confident that it was picking up the ingredients list accurately. The only good thing is that is has a list of high risk, medium risk, and low risk ingredients that you can search through but it doesn’t seem to be a very long list so I’m still left guessing on some things. Don’t waste your money!

Awesome— so needed!. This works REALLY well. It’s amazing that nothing else like this really exists. Well done! I have two pieces of feedback to make this app better: please have your app flag any ingredients that are not found in your database, so consumers are aware of any ingredients that are not being verified. This would definitely be better than just displaying “no harmful ingredients found.“ Also, small thing, if you could make the display name of your app shorter so that it fits under the app on the home screen, that would be awesome. I’m assuming it would be better to just display “Little Bean” as the name of the app once downloaded— instead of all the rest of the wording that just gets cut off and looks messy.

Great App not just for pregnant Women!. As the husband to my pregnant wife, I use the app when I’m buying products for the family, I have found it greatly useful and surprisingly informative. Easy to use!. It can be so overwhelming finding the right answers quickly and easily and this app really is such a time saver!

It’s ok for catching some things but look at all ingredients. It’s helpful sometimes but I just tried scanning a list of 7 known labeled names for retinoids (from a pregnancy book) and it only flagged 5 of them. It said nothing about the other two since they aren’t in the limited data base. The app should really include a list of the ingredients it did not look at so you can do a secondary search on those ingredients. I was excited to find this app because I thought it would look at all ingredients but it is only looking for the things in the explicit list, which isn’t all-inclusive.

Thanks to my wife. My wife made me download this app, so that when I’m at the grocery store, I can scan any bathroom product with this for ingredients that might be bad to use while she’s pregnant. No more blocking the toiletries isle trying to google hand soup ingredients and no more getting sent back to the store to return items with harmful ingredients I missed.

Option to type in or upload would be nice. It would be so helpful if the app had the option to upload a picture of, or insert via copy/ paste the ingredients of products. I downloaded the app so I could check on products BEFORE I buy them (online), meaning I can’t scan them! Such a bummer!! Would have been great…

Does what it’s meant to. *edit* It failed to pick up on a medium risk ingredient (octinoxate) because it was listed under a different name (ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate). Easy to use; the scanner functions really well. It’s quite fun going through your bathroom cabinet and checking all the ingredient labels with this app! I had manually checked most of the products I use early on in my pregnancy and it was a relief when this scanner confirmed that everything I’ve been using is safe. The only thing this app needs is a function that allows you to copy paste a list of ingredients for products that you are interesting in purchasing.

Please add a way to use camera roll pictures. There are so many products that I’m using now that if I don’t have the box, I don’t have the ingredients list. However, I can screenshot them off of the website the products come from.

Def worth the $4, esp if you’re a new mom. Love this app so far! I’m a little bummed to find almost everything I own has “parfum” / “fragrance” in it. They should be required by law to list what that actually is on all products since some of it is harmful and some of it isn’t.

Not convenient / informative enough. Disappointed. It doesn’t seem to have all known things to avoid and the descriptions are pretty light / don’t include sources or additional information. I thought it’d be convenient to be able to scan items, but in reality a lot of items don’t have the ingredients on the bottle. There is a website (not related to this app) that allows you to search a database of products for safety / risks… I’ve found that much more useful and includes trusted certifications / research.

G. I really love the fact that it’s accurate. At first I googled all the ingredients with one of my moisturizers and it was okay , so I downloaded this app to make sure the other products I used were okay and I also scanned my moisturizer and it was very accurate. Saved me a lot of time. I’m just curious it’s a one time payment? It doesn’t specify if it’s going to be a continuous charge or it’s just a one time payment of 4.99$

Great App!. I had originally written a review saying the app did not work & the developers reached out and after discussing… I realized I was using the app completely wrong lol. I didn’t realize you’re supposed to scan the ingredients.. the whole time I was trying to scan the barcode so it didn’t recognize any harmful products. But since then, the app has been 10/10

This app is so cool.. I’m currently at 5 weeks and looking through all of my routines to make sure I’m not exposing myself or the baby to anything harmful. This app scans the text on products incredibly well and identifies risky ingredients as low, medium, or high. It’s been a huge blessing because it offers me peace of mind during some pretty nerve-racking times.

Confusing…... I tried scanning the ingredient list and it only read fragrance…then I tired to type in a few of the ingredients and neither of them showed up in the data base. Even though one of them is actually highlighted in their photos previewing the app, Butylene Glycol. I have never been more frustrated to find an app that just tells me what is safe and what is not when it comes to skin care for baby and me. I’m upset hahaha

Good, but... I wish the app allowed us to see up to 5-10 of the past searches we’ve made. I was going thru a list of skincare that I needed to look up, and I was losing track of what I had just searched. Also, I do think a scan barcode function would be super helpful to have in a future version of the app!

Worth the 5 bux!. I just found out that I was pregnant so I ultimately had to change up my skincare straight away with ingredients that is not harmful for my baby & this app takes away the guesses & the tedious googling of “is (brand) safe for pregnancy?”. With this app makes it so much easier & faster by scanning the ingredients. Mind you some of the vegan products out there actually has one ingredient that’s not safe so I was surprised & lucky I scanned it. Overall, so glad I stumbled to this app & wished I found this app when I had my 1st child 🤍

Bugs. The app is good but there are many bugs. When I upload de image, the app don’t take all ingredients than when I take a picture. There is a bus with the Dimethicone ingredient, when the ingredient found is Methicone the app take everything before it to form the word Dimethicone.

Don’t waste your money. The list is very limited and it’s missing a lot of harmful ingredients like octinoxate. The scanner is taking forever and most of the time doesn’t flag the bad ingredients. You better do your own research it’s safer and cheaper. What a rip off.

No Barcode Scanner. Contrary to what you expect, this app doesn’t contain a barcode scanner. You just take photos of ingredient lists. Absolutely not worth $5.

Doesn’t work well. This app scans the words on an ingredient list. This would be great for items I have with a list on it, but what about those that don’t. But it doesn’t even do a great job with the list, missed multiple ingredients on the label that are a risk.

Hele handige app tijdens de zwangerschap. Super handig tijdens de zwangerschap. Toen ik erachter kwam dat ik zwanger was wist ik dat ik bepaalde skin care producten niet kon gebruiken. Toen ik begon te googlen was er een hele lange lijst met ingredienten die ik wellicht beter niet kon gebruiken. Met deze app is het heel makkelijk om de ingredienten lijst van je product te scannen en het toont je welke ingredienten het bevat die je wellicht wilt ontwijken.

Fails to read ingredients. It is very clearly written on the back of my makeup that it has an ingredient that is medium risk, yet the scanner did not catch it! Do not trust it to scan!!!

Can’t copy paste ingredient list. This app only scans for limited ingredients. And, if you buy everything online, like me, you can’t copy/paste a list of ingredients into the app before making an online purchase. Waste of $$$$.

Doesn’t work. Nothing happens when I hit the scan button. Garbage app

Not working. Super bummed. The scanner doesn’t work at all. I held it up to the wall and it scanned and said “no harmful ingredients found”. I saw the negative reviews and hoped they were fixed but I guess not. As I just downloaded it I can’t “update it” to fix the problem like they said.
