Entertaining, inspirational, intelligent and challenging!. I won’t say this app is perfect or even comprehensible for everyone, however if you do read the manual the developer included in the app, and use it to experiment and learn what this app is truly capable of doing to both short/simple sounds and long/complex recordings or ambient mixes, you will be endlessly entertained, thoroughly surprised, and possibly (like me) inspired by multiple idea types. This is a very in-depth sound editor, which introduces users to sequences run by algorithms that control or filter audio output. Got me learning about circuit-bending and binary code, but as someone who admires patterns and textures in general regardless, I have fun whether goal oriented or not every time I open this app. I would only love to see AUv3 be supported in the future, but the app runs well through AUM as IAA so the main difference would just be convenience. I can’t think of another app that I’m so quick to pause my music for in order to use. {5 Stars, suggested: AUv3, easier sample import, custom theme color panel, clearer button labels} By the way these are simply ideas, not complaints. Get this app.

Mangled and spangled. This is a fun app! Most of the reviews/talk about this app go on about the ambient/atmospheric/soundscapes it can create. And rightly so. But I have also found this app good for making old beats into new beats. This app has more than one trick up its sleeve.

Absolutely. Amazing depth and range on this one. The UI is maybe a bit intimidating at first, but just blindly goofing about produces wild and/or usable sounds, plus the help files are comprehensive so you won't have to remain lost if you happen to lose yourself.

Brilliant app. Amazingly unique app with a lot of depth. Like all of the apps from this dev, this one is well thought out and flawlessly implemented. The spatial mixer is genius for creating evolving multi-dimensional soundscapes. A must have for anyone making dark ambient, glitch, noise, or experimental music.

Great app. It's audiobus compatible . It's a great app for making interesting sonic landscapes . You can import a audio sample and then manipulated it into something amazing . Very deep but needs a new default sound loaded. This synthesis app is very deep, but needs an introduction somehow as to its capabilities and how to approach it. Upon pressing play when first loading the app, the sound loaded is not very pleasant, and I was searching hard for a way to turn it off. Would love to see a help function that provides a legend to each control. I buy practically every synth app in Itunes, but at present, despite its capabilities, I would recommend this after learning synth fundamentals. Still, has great promise if it only had even a video link that provides a brief introduction.

Extremely cool and powerful once you UNDERSTAND it. It’s esoteric in design and you will need to understand how it works. At first it’s like “does this just make wind sounds?” No, load up the various demos and learn how to use it. I am using this to generate wild background sounds for my electronic music project. It’s like it was tailor made to do that, and in a way it’s genius. If you’re not going to learn it, don’t get it.

Mesmerizing. This app is gorgeous and sounds amazing. Alien and machine like soundscapes and multi layered textures are the starting off point and it just gets deeper from there. In my top five along with Audulus, ipolysix, ims20 and animoog. Must have for audio designers.

Unique and Brilliant. Next level sound design wizardry. If you want some sound inspiration, you seriously need to try this app. It's not about dialing in the perfect ADSR in as little as possible. It does, however, reward your experimentation by producing unique and varied results that are well worth the price. If this were a VST, tons of people would fork over a lot of cash to get it.

Still incredible sound tapestry machine!. Still nothing on the App Store that compares with the sound tapestries and FX you can make with SoundScaper! And it always has been a stable design too.

Absolutely amazing and much needed advance for iOS sound texturing. For a long while now Borderlands Granular has been one of my favorite sonic texture tools but due to certain limitations a real advance in that realm has been overdue. It has, however, been worth the wait for this one. I am well familiar with the series of apps from iMusicalbum and can attest to the richness and quality of sound compared to others like them. A highly configurable interface and a bit challenging but this is very refreshing after 1000+ music apps; most are variations on a few different ideas with very few taking advantage of the touch screen interface or putting any real imagination into their work. Hats off to this one for stepping it up!

Incredible. Essential experimental music app.

Great Find!. After a bit of a learning curve I am very impressed and addicted to this app. I love seeing what I can come up with by denting a can or making animal sounds and then processing it. The sounds that this app can create can add incredible texture to songs in your DAW

One of my favorite audio apps. Very much like some of the auto-generating Reaktor synths, it's a controlled chaos device, of sorts. The downsampling is capable of a warm grainy quality. (If it's what you're seeking) you can achieve some BOC-like ambience (and beyond) with a minimum of twiddling and layering, once the structure becomes apparent. Without resorting to hyperbole, I think it's a well-designed audio manipulation app, and a pleasure to use. Thank you for this cool thing.

Impossible to use. what is so hard about adding simple add and delete functions to individual sounds?

Two Button Synth. This synth really only needs two buttons. Yes, it actually has loads of them. But if you want to create amazing soundscapes all you need is to hit play, and then random as many or few times as you like. And then let it go...

Brilliant. If you want to create sounds you've never heard before, this is it.

Genius. Best app in a long time. Absolutely unique, lots of fun, endless possibilities.

Must Have. The possibilities with this app seem endless. I've tried dozens and dozens of sound makers, synths, sequencers, etc - they all felt like variations on the same set of features. This is the first app I've tried that really made new sounds in new ways. Always surprising, amazing depth.

Sweet. Been waiting to play with this and it's very very cool. The only thing that can make this better is a little internal sampling utility to capture sounds right in instead of importing. Great Software!! Buy it.

Wow..sounds from the heart of space. Been looking for an app that goes beyond basic sample manipulation and filtering for some time. Coming from the old school, this is like having an Publison Infernal Machine 90 and a Cyclosonic panner without the headaches. The sonic palette generated from the address trigger buss is limitless fun. Very inspired. Great stuff Igor!

Submarine Recommended. This is a wonderful piece of software. While there have been many noise makers/sound effects units based on timer chipsets, there's really no comparison to what can be done when such concepts are taken to their digital extremes. This manages to make some deep/complex DSP processing available to virtually anyone. I'm well impressed by both the concept and execution here. Immensely powerful, deep, and most importantly: musical - useful for sound design and composition. The diversity of textures and tones that are possible... very inspiring. Fragmented review - complete.

Holy shat Bit Man this is great!. I somehow missed this offering until I saw a recent sale. This is a crucial app for any ambient or soundscape maker. Whatever that means. Basically it's phenomenal for crafting very unusual and expressive soundscapes. What a marvelously simple to use app. Easy to use, but also very capable of complicated soundscapes and lively scenes from the serene, surreal drones to the spasmodic and glitchy happy accidents. Get it. Especially if you do anything drone or ambient related.

WOW!. I originally bought this app just to support the developer ( his other apps are superb as well) but quickly lost myself in the sonic mayhem! Haven't quite got my head around all this app will do but find myself going back to it, if even for a short time, each day since its purchase! Well done!

A Must Have. Amazing sounds can be had out of this thing with minimal effort. Inspiring and endless entertainment. Great for Fx sounds and intros/outros and even ambiance.

More top-shelf work.. *Edit for first update: Wow. One of the single best content updates I've ever gotten from an app. Still having a blast and will continue to do so. So happy to stumble upon this new release. Altispace is such a quality reverb, I immediately purchased it. After an hour of experiments with my own samples, the app is technically solid (run through multi-chain audiobus channels out to Cubasis and DAW, both with no problems; IAA was smooth as well [iPad Air 1, latency 256 only due to the hog that is TeraSynth]). The app title says it all. If you're in any way interested in creating soundscapes, this is easy to pick up and instantly achieve interesting results (thanks random buttons!). A single bass drum sample and gated synth chord got me a great eerie drone with a train-like chug. Very easy to get lost in but still come out on the other side with usable material. As highly recommended as the developers' other apps.

Mind Blowing!!. The amount of things one can do with this app will twist your brain! Super powerful, super complex at times! However deep one wants to dig and explore is only limited by ones own creativity. I still haven’t master this app, but it is so much fun and twisted! I own FieldScaper as well! This developer has put out some top notch stuff!!

SoundScaper: portable gold. This app is absolutely brilliant. I’ve worked with synthesisers and computer music for decades, and this app in an iPad creates moving audio environments easily, and with great control. For sound explorers, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Great experimental tool. This thing is amazing, so concise yet with so many opportunities to manipulate and experiment with sound. The interface looks intimidating at first but starts to make sense pretty quickly, and has a very intuitive feel once you get your head into it. Love it, definitely worth the money.

Fantastic original improves with updates. This was great to begin with, totally unexpected but awesome update. This creates stuff impossible elsewhere. Love it. Review updated again with latest morphing update, still 5 stars!

Innovative and Useful. The circuit bending functionality is extraordinary for sound design. The interface is well thought out. My hat is off.

You're almost there. This app is extraordinary and very deep, but the lack of a way to export the sounds to another app or DAW makes it close to useless. I eagerly await the chance to use some of these mindbending sounds in Beatmaker 2, for example. Even so, I've spent hours with this and Fieldscaper, they are powerful sound tools.

An expertly crafted music generating tool. I have purchased a handful of pro-level oscillators and music generating applications. Many have a slick interface but the back-ends leave a lot to desire. Others have a busy interface that can be very intimidating for the novice yet provide the powerful capabilities professionals are seeking. Only a few provide a balance and fewer still have an interface that is intuitive yet sophisticated. This is one such programme. It has been a joy to create with: from the fine control schemes to the ability to easily import and export files. Buy with confidence.

This is utter Genius level development.... Wow! Ever feel like you have been reincarnated as a Second World War Communication Systems engineer...or something like that? This is an amazing Sound Lab, that goes the distance, and like all Vasiliev apps, is both accessible and NOT dumbed down. Be careful though.You can get lost at sea with this scary beast...and you may not ever want to return!

Fun but no bluetooth. Lots of fun to play with, but I can’t get this app to play through Bluetooth headphones which all my other music apps do without problems.
