Unusable. Keeping original below, but after tears of use I have to update. The software is no longer usable with Osmo mobile with iPhone 12 from what I can tell. I’ve submitted a support request, but this has gone from useless to worthless. Don’t buy DJI. Original: I'm revising this review because I learned where the photos/videos are located. Select 'Connect with device' (Yes, for some reason this accesses the camera roll when not connected) > 'Camera' > library icon (camera roll). This loads the camera and the camera roll is in the standard location when using the gimbal. I'm using this app with the osmo mobile. For controlling a few specialized shots, it is great. If you can get the same shot some other way, DO IT! I cannot suggest using it to for primary capturing of video and images. If you are running low on space you will have to remove other data from your phone to be able to export and access your content in other apps, which gets very challenging for long shots. My biggest complaint is that my battery last less than half as long as the native iPhone camera app with no apparent benefit for general recording. Like I said, it has some neat things you can do with beautification, motion time lapse, long exposure, and of course is necessary for calibration of the gimbal. I will use it for that, but never again as the main video capture application. It is just too inefficient and a small liability for the videos and pictures recorded with it.

Not worth the hassle. Was given this as a gift thankfully. If I bought it I would return it. Very cumbersome to get the phone to stabilize. The manual was 2 pages long and never mentioned how to calibrate the “balancing” of it all. The up is down and right is left is very annoying for a beginner user. I would also expect the same quality as I am using my iPhone X but everything is worse than the camera on the flip phone I had years ago. Why don’t the pics go to my album. That makes no sense. I don’t like to share my location and yet it must have it enabled to work.. why is that necessary if I am using it for personal use. I do not want my pics on an app that I have to then go download each and every image (most are so terrible they are garbage). I will stick with my regular camera (Nikon) and my iPhone. I wish it would just allow me to use it as a stabilizer and use my phone settings for quality and all other settings. Do not recommend this at all.

A company that allowed success to out grow customer care.. Once again DJI commands market share at the expense of customer care. Non-responsive tech support, incompetent support, U.S. support has zero authority to answer customer questions related to bug status, work-a-rounds, etc. DJI continues to make great announcements of features and functions they have not fully developed or tested. They discontinue products/models quicker than their batteries run out. Security is so pathetic they have been banned by all U.S. military and most agencies. DJI needs to decide whether they want to be a product company or a spy agency. Seriously!! Prediction- when successful companies act like DJI they open the door for the competition to take their place. Suggestion- If you are sincerely ask for a review, then READ THEM and LISTEN!

Configure Your Osmo, and Drop This App. Downloaded this app as it was necessary to configure my new DJI Osmo mobile 2. After doing my first film shoot, I went to export the videos and photos. Immediately I noticed a plethora of issues. 1. No Geotagging: Seriously, why? It's not hard, I already granted the app access to my location, is it really that hard to add location data to video? 2. Poor Video Management: Why not just store it directly to the iPhone? If it's an IOS restriction I understand, but exporting videos is cumbersome and annoying. Plus it takes up additional space. 3. No Access to 4k60fps: My iPhone Xs Max records at 4k60fps. Why doesn't this app? 4. EXPORTED SLOW MOTION IS BROKEN!!!: This is probably my biggest pet peeve yet about this app. For God knows what reason, exporting a slow motion video to your photo library causes a doubling of the frames. Meaning if you had a slow motion video that lasted 15 seconds, that same video now lasts 30 seconds. Other than throwing your video in another app, there's no way to speed these videos up. 5. The Movie Creation Experience: DJI has included a video editing application built into this app. It's complete trash. The preview doesn't display slowmo, the exported video doesn't even play at the same speed. I don't understand how they messed this up. It will take a serious overhaul for me to continue to use this app. Until then, I'll stick with the stock photo app and Filmic Pro.

The PROS and CONS. I just recently got my DJI osmo mobile 2 and absolutely love it!! I can’t believe I have been trying to take video without. Having used the app along with it I have some things I like and don’t like about it. PROS: - the panorama picture features are awesome!!! - motion time lapse is great! - adjustable zoom speed - adjustable joystick sensitivity CONS: - photo management, should be an option to store directly to native iPhone folder instead of app which then makes a copy to your phone taking up 2x space. - AE/AF Lock is reset after you stop recording, so if I want to continue making small mini clips I have to constantly try and set the exact same exposure and focus as all the other clips in order to blend into one large film. This is very frustrating when you have bright whites and you want all your whites to look the same in every mini clip. Improvement: fix the AE/AF lock so it stays until the user changes it.

Not for mobile!. I’m sure some people will think this app is fine. As in ”windows 95 was fine” while you scratched your head in frustrated confusion, or worse. Sure, it’s ”fine”. But: The usability is extremely error prone! It is an app that was very very obviously designed on a big screen for people with perfect vision. The problem with that is no one has either. It is NOT a mobile friendly app. No, so sorry Charlie. And if you don't have perfect vision - you’re like most people: forget about it. This app is for recording video and I have missed many in-recaptruable videos from poor interface, user feedback, atrocious visual design, and disappointing usability on iPhone 9.

App crashes constantly. I will try to limit my frustrations to just the mobile app... I have a Phantom 3 standard. The app on my iPhone 7 Plus crashes within seconds of launching it, every-time I try to use it. (I update the app and firmware whenever available) I am forced to use my iPad to view the camera which doesn’t fit on the remote bracket. Please fix this! Aside from that, there is always some minor issue when I try to fly. It’s a rare day when I power on, connect, and fly. DJI you have so much potential to be amazing, but the constant hiccups when trying to fly leaving me feeling sour and not wanting to use your product.

Unable to use my expensive drone due to this horrible app. So at first I was able to use my drone, although it was a huge and unnecessary hassle to bypass everything they require you to do, but after roughly 4 flights, it requires me to take a quiz although I already understand what I need to know about drones and have the necessary skillset. Every time I open this app and connect to my drone, it goes straight to asking me to take the quiz, and I click continue then it just says “error not found” then I can’t click out of it after it says that and I have to exit the app, repeating the same cycle. I try disconnecting from my drone and connecting to a regular WiFi and other solutions that should be effective, yet none of them work and I’m just stuck not being able to use my drone because of this stupid design.

DJI stop limiting your aircraft capability on firmware. I download and install the latest software and improvement ware made for example with p3se every time I try to fly far away the app from the Rc speaker says: you rich the maximum distance at 1692 feet now I was able to go almost 6000 feet but before I use to be able to go high as much as 2300 feet now at 400 says you reach the maximum altitude and this is not right- dji should change the writing in the firmware and should let the aircraft be free high and distance without limitation and they can remind you reach the maximum altitude or distance but do not limited let the pilot have the responsibility to choose and let the pilot assume full responsibility

Awful app. Not only does this app crash constantly but now they went and added a watermark to the videos you make in the app. I didn't think it could get worse but it did. I have a hard time thinking that other gimbal companies can have apps as bad or worse than dji. I could deal with the crashing to not write a review but the watermark crossed the line on being acceptable in dealing with this crap. Edit: after writing this I went back in to see if I create my own video in it if it would water mark that as well and sure enough it does. Talk about complete crap.

Great App. Love my new toy (DJI OSMO Mobile 2), people trip out when they see it in action. I like the app, so far I haven’t had any issues. The only thing I would recommend is that the developer would make it available for the Apple Watch to be used as a shutter remote. Giving it 4 stars because if FilmMic Pro can make it available for Apple Watch, there shouldn’t be no reason why DJI can make one too. DON’T YOU THINK IT’S TIME FOR FIRMWARE UPDATE??!! add adjustment speed for the JOYSTICK just like the zoom feature.

If you upgraded to iOS 11 this guide will help. The app worked perfectly fine on iOS 10 then I upgraded to 11. When I tried opening the app to ensure everything ready to go the app wouldn’t open. All you have to do is delete the app, redone load it & take the quiz. Some of the questions aren’t straight forward so make sure to do your own research. Once completed the quiz you could sign in & that’s it now the app works on iOS 11. But honestly DJI should update the app (ensure no bugs or crashes) because customers come first. Since we did spend $500+ on expensive camera equipment.

Definately Needs Improvement. I just got my DJI Osmo Mobile stabilizer and DJI Go app for iPhone. App has nice, quality looking layout and recording options are great and cool. Very convenient and made specifically for DJI Osmo. This app does, however, have major glitches and kicking out of the app while recording. I don’t know why and how this happens. I re-downloaded the app, i re-connected my stabilizer, I turned off all other apps and it still gives me problems. This is a major thing this app needs improvement on: no glitches and no kicking out of the app. Please make an improvement update so that this would not happen. Thank you

DJI APP Mid-flight new popup blocker.. I was using my DJI APP on my Job in Class-D airspace. A pop up from DJI came up on screen saying I was In Class D airspace and would I take responsibility for that, It took up my whole screen in Black and Dark Blue, I could not find how to make it go away so I immediately brought my inspire 1 drone down! landing on pump house roof thinking it safe but not being able to see through DJI camera on DJI App it proceeded to slide slowly off shingles into golf course pond! Damaging drone. Later I found out from other DJI pilots they also had same problem, the solution was a spec in a spec Dark Blue dot yes or no ?It was too dark and blended in to entire screen color with a spec dot to indicate yes or no with out direction. I took a screen shot of the pop up if anyone wants to see it. I did have clearance to fly and emailed my clearance to them prior to flight. I’m very unhappy. Very very. Contact me for questions.

Lost all my videos and photos from today. While taking an epic trip through Kauai, Hawaii I had yet to download my photos and videos from the Go app while using my Osmo Mobile. The app has now crashed and I am unable to view any of my photos or videos. Shame on you DJI for causing me to lose all these memories. I will be returning my Osmo as soon as I return to the mainland. I’m highly upset that I have lost these picture of my new born on the beach. I am an avid DJI user, Mavic and Phantom Pro 4. After this experience I will be looking to offload all products DJI. Make this right DJI. Otherwise I will become an avid proponent of all devices other than DJI. Don’t think I’m bluffing either, I have many followers who will watch my video review.

Good, but could be a bit better. I just got an Osmo Mobile 2 and I’m having a ton of fun with it. The app is useful overall, and has a lot of excellent features. I would like to be able to switch between the two cameras on my iPhone X, rather than use digital zoom. I would also appreciate a way to recover deleted files, or maybe a trash folder that waits a few days before permanently deleting them. Oh, almost forgot, the iPhone X is capable of 4K 60, but the app doesn’t allow for it. Ultimately, I just want to be able to fully utilize the capabilities of my phone. Otherwise, great app.

DJI, what the he11?. What other product can you purchase that works less the more it’s updated and longer you own it. I’ve had numerous DJI quads and hexa’s from the F450 with Naza V1 and software 1.0. The older ones you had to build and could upgrade. Firmware updates have taken away channels, used to have 32. Made the video range way shorter and way more error messages and warnings which guess what- take your eye off the copter! Signal interference all the time, video feed not working and annoying warnings multiple times about airspace (I’m a pilot, don’t need multiple screen hogging warnings about the same thing, I got it). So if it were a car it would be like your range would go down, windshield fog up a lot and get less radio stations after taking it in for service........

Worst editing app!!!!!!. The app itself was designed nicely, you would think that a company that charges $500+ for drones and have sold thousands would invest in looking into the reviews. The editing app is HORRIBLE, get ready for some major frustration. It crashes in the middle of you working on it, hit the wrong button and all your work gone, there’s no save feature. Also, when you go to upload it, takes 5+ minutes just to upload a video of 1min. The app editing portion is a joke. Seriously guys, the ceo or someone really needs to take a look at these reviews, listen to your customers. All it takes is someone or another company to read these reviews, fix these issues and hit you where you are weak. The frustration is beyond me.

Tracking feature is amazing, but no 24fps selfie or back camera?. Every time you open the app to connect the OSMO Mobile 2 it won’t recognize the Bluetooth connection even when you already paired and connected your phone with the OSMO via your phone’s settings. You have to exit DJI Go and disconnect from Bluetooth and connect again in order for DJI Go to recognize Bluetooth connection. Tracking feature is awesome but I need 24fps as do many others. All of my projects require 24fps. Please DJI, fix the Bluetooth stuff and add 24fps options. Your app is almost perfect.

Horrible!. I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into here except a really expensive paperweight! By the time I purchased my p3se a few extra batteries and various other accessories, I’ve got over a $1000 in this thing and I am less than pleased! The first couple of flights were great and then the video feed started going haywire. Now, it won’t stay connected to the camera and if it is connected it’s super pixelated and there’s a 5-25 second lapse at times. It’s so bad that it isn’t even safe to fly. I’ve checked all of the forums, done all the updates and recommended fixes I could find, and it’s still brown and murky! And by that, I mean a stinky pile of poo!!

Crashed again. Between crashing during exporting, crashing when trying to pair with osmo mobile, crashing when trying to change video quality, and not actually wanting to delete footage after deleting it, i have gotten kind of tired. Haven’t used this app in about 2 months, which means it only worked for about 2 weeks. Tried it today and it crashed about 10 seconds in. I’ve deleted it now and am reinstalling it to see it if makes a difference. Wish me luck or send me my money back because it’s not worth the bells and whistles that I paid for.

Not as advertised. Only records in low resolution.. The app is supposed to record 4K, as the new iPhones support that resolution; in fact, iPhones have recorded 4K video for several years. But this app only lets me shoot in 720P. It’s a big waste of a very expensive phone camera. Also, the exposure control bar is directly adjacent to the focus reticle, making it hard to adjust lighting. As an aside, other users are shooting 4K with Filmic Pro instead ($5.95 from the App Store), but that app isn’t completely compatible with the Osmo 2 gimbal (the Osmo control buttons mainly are disabled, except for power and the 4-way motor hat). Same with the built-in Apple Camera. The stabilizer works, but you must tap the phone screen to control it instead of using gimbal buttons. This is disappointing, since DJI in their marketing and videos implies you can take advantage of your phone’s maximum capabilities. Had I known the app and gimbal are crippled by lack of updates for current generation devices, I’d have bought another stabilizer. Not recommended.

Cumbersome workflow, no geotagging. I use this app with my Osmo Mobile. First, I do not understand why I need to have an account. I am totally not interested in any of the online functions. When I am in the outdoors there may not even be any mobile phone signal. Second, why do I have to manually copy photos and videos from the app to get them into my library? I want them only in my library and no where else. I don't want to have to manually copy them. What's more, the photos and videos I copy are dated on the day I copy them and not when I took them. So if I forget to move them at some day they will be put together with others I take later on. Third, the photos and videos do not contain any geodata, photos and videos I take on my iPhone are all fine but those from the DJI app never contain any location data. That's very annoying. I have to add them manually later on. Update: The developers broke power usage. I used to use the app for hours. Now my iPhone SE goes from around 80% to almost 0 in 10 minutes. Apple’s camera app still works efficiently. It’s just DJI’s that’s broken.

Terrible cumbersome app and support. The app is a chore to use. The only interaction with the Mobile 2 is the camera and their store page. The problem is that I’m looking for a firmware update but there’s nothing to indicate if there’s a new one or not. The gimbal already has issues connecting with my phone so I don’t rely on apps to “let me know”. No thanks I’d rather have an option to check for an update or at least show that my firmware is up to date when I check it. Of course to check the firmware version I have to actually be in camera mode where the gimbal is moving while I try to manipulate the mess on the screen. There’s no option to stop the gimbal without turning it off which if it’s off, it’s not connected and the app doesn’t give any options in that case. Also what’s up with a separate app for the models. Why is there a version for one half of your catalog and a different one for the other half? Put it all in one app and allow customers to use the newer app cause we all know you aren’t doing anything with this one anymore. It says there’s updates but it’s largely the same mess it was when I first got it.

Well made except for some parts. I use this with the osmo mobile 2 and for the most part it works well. It does what the phone tells it to do, but the tracking feature is awful. When you have it lock onto something, it tracks it until the object changes like you move from one side to the other. Then the osmo will flip around (supposedly trying to find the object again, instead of going to where it was last seen and went) and the only way to get it to lock back on is to reposition the red box exactly where you first made it target or to cancel it and reposition it. In my opinion, it should be able to map the object as you move around it and learn that objects can move and change.

Bad storage management. The only problem I have with this app is it lacks in storage management. Instead of videos and pictures being stored in the typical iPhone data point where you would expect to find your pictures and movies, This app stores of them in the app’s folder directory. This creates a few problems. If for example your iPhone only has 64 GB capacity and you record a 4K video which is 40 GB in size, you will not be able to export the entire video. Before you can drag videos from your phone to your PC or MacBook, The content must be exported from the app to the iPhone library. The export process does not simply cut and paste the content but rather copies it. So with the capacity of 64 GB and a video file 40 GB it creates a problem. Contact you recorded is now stuck in the app folder with no avenue for exporting to your computer. I had to download iMazing to circumvent that’s a problem. Additionally, when you delete these large video files space is not freed on your device for whatever reason. I have tried using this app to delete the files and I also tried using third-party programs. Do you only way that I have been able to reclaim storage capacity from this app is to uninstall the program and then reinstall it after the painful process of exploring media. DJI Can fix this if they simply use the iPhone’s default media library, rather than hoarding the media in me app directory. Because of this extreme inconvenience I can only give the app two stars.

Not keeping up with IOS Changes. Ok, been a frustrating few months. First, I started getting CPU Fully Loaded error messages. I thought it was the GO update. Then we here about Apple throttling down older devices so the batteries would last longer. I started using an iPad Pro and the problem went away. The latest update from Apple, IOS 11.2.1 seems to have created yet another issue. Now Go will connect to the controller and aircraft, I get full telemetry, but can’t update the aircraft or make any changes. I found an old iPhone 5 that is running IOS 10.3 with GO app version 3.1.6 and everything works fine again. Wow.

Do not buy DJI.. So I bought the dji phantom 3 Professional about a year ago planning to do some real estate photography and normal hobby flying. I am a licensed pilot and have always been very careful with this drone to make sure I did not damage it in any way since my investment was nearly $1300 at the time.. so it has always flown flawlessly until the last dji app update forced me to agree to share all my info and flight data which is fine but now have no video feed. Been troubleshooting for days and re-installing firmware and trying different usb cords but nothing worked.. This whole time I have been so scared to crash the drone but now I realize I should have been scared of Dji’s software.

Great Gimbal, TERRIBLE App!. My family just spent a week in San Diego having a blast and getting some amazing videos captured on the Osmo Mobile 2 and my iPhone 8 Plus. On the first day, I noticed that the video files stayed inside the DJI app. So I manually moved them over to my local device media library. Very time-consuming. I decided, ok no big deal. I’ll just deal with offloading the videos when I get back from the trip. Well, here’s where the DJI GO APP failed miserably for me. We’re back home ready to view all the amazing videos we took, I click on the app and it wouldn’t open. I do it a second and third time. I finally restart my phone. It still won’t open. So I decide to uninstall and reinstall the app and sign back into my account where (I should have access to my video library.) NOPE! No videos. All gone. All of my videos stuck in the app were held hostage because I couldn’t open the app. When I reinstalled the app, it apparently deleted all my video files as well! They make you sign up for a DJI account but don’t give cloud backup! So I lost everything. MY RECOMMENDATION: Use the Osmo gimbal WITHOUT the DJI GO app. Use your native camera/video app or use Filmic pro or ProMovie.

Bricked my Phantom 3 Advanced. Dji makes it too difficult to update firmware on these drones and controllers. I went to fly my drone the other day and it said a firmware upgrade needed to be installed on my drone and controller. I had to use this app to update the firmware on my controller. After I clicked update it downloaded the firmware without any issues. Then it began to install it. It was stuck at 0% for about 8 mins and then suddenly said firmware update was complete. After I updated my drone using a sd card and went to turn on my controller and drone to start flying, my controller would not turn on. No lights, no sounds, nothing. I tried plugging into charger, and still no lights. Now I can’t fly because this firmware bricked my controller. It said it was successfully installed, but now my drone does not communicate with the remote. I am unable to get the “camera view” button to show to try to install the firmware again. All it has is a button that says “how to connect”. The firmware update process has too many bugs and it ruins your drone. My drone and controller were perfectly fine until this last update. Now it’s a expensive paper weight.

OSMO, King of Crashes, beware before buying the device. Developers please invest in making this very cool app actually work! It literally crashes 100% of the time in less than 21 seconds, more like in the 8 second range. The only thing it does correctly is calibration and that is easy, provided the app will stay open long enough to start the process. I cannot give this review on the app on my great working iPhone 7 as it will crash. I have deleted the app and reinstalled twice, no successful resolution. I bought one for my adult son as well and same experiences for him as well. The Apple video and photo will work great, but the few times the app did work, it was amazing smooth. So team........a few 100,000 or more are counting on you. Thanks for making a cool product, now make it a joy and something we can use. BT California.

Most complicated device for electronics I have ever used.. As soon as something unexpected occurs solving it takes hours if you’re lucky to fix. Documentation is very poor. Charging issues are monumental. I changed it to 100% and immediately it started loosing charge although I was only scanning battery charge on iPhone. It went from 100% to 29% in less than 40 minutes and that was after I reconnected the charger. Also the connection to the port was not solid. It was my 4th time using it in the 1 month I have had it. Very disappointed in such a highly recommend item. Looked for a phone no. to call for tech support on line to no avail. Chat was not worth the time spent and problem too detailed to email. I am hoping driving to Apple store will yield better results and satisfaction. I gave two stars because two of the earlier times I used it I did get good results. Now it can’t seem to charge or hold a charge and have barely owned it for a month with minimal use.

Omso2: Just Aweful. The Osmo 2 was really hyped up and I fell for it hook line and sinker. I bought it and downloaded this app hoping to experience a great product. The osmo 2 made a horrible rattling sound when I attempted to balance my iPhone X vertically. I followed all of the instructions and video tutorials. I contacted customer service and that’s where things went horribly wrong. They instructed me to follow the manual and after I advised them of all of my troubleshooting steps it was like I didn’t say anything and they advised me to repeat the same steps. After three emails and no progress I advised the customer service rep I was going to return the product as i could not use it. I was instructed to take it to a service center (after owning it for four days) and they would repair the unit. It was literally like I was speaking English and they were unable to understand anything I said. I took the Osmo2 back and uninstalled the app and I’m so happy I did. Horrible app, horrible product and horrible customer service— just horrible!

Broken software team. I’m sure they pulled the brightest minds behind Internet Explorer to build this flaming hot mess of an app, which I admit might be an unfair review of all the app’s potential, except I can’t even get it to work with my Osmo, which USED to work until the dev in their infinite wisdom decided to break what was working. My Bluetooth sees it. My iOS even sees my Osmo as paired. But the App refuses to believe my Bluetooth is turned on and literally won’t let me do anything except retrigger the prompt to make sure my Bluetooth is on. I am quite literally never ever purchasing a DJI anything again. As others have mentioned, they attempt to lock you into their crap ecosystem and then deliver absolutely horrendous user experiences. Never again.

STOP CRASHING. So this app is very convenient, with how it’s laid out and everything. But, after the most recent update it just won’t stop crashing. While it’s flying, while trying to open the app, while trying to edit, export, always just crash, crash, crash. I can’t rely on using the camera to fly because of it and have to stick to open spaces. Also, I keep getting this “strong wireless interference” notification. It’s often set off by phones and radios I believe. I really just need this crashing stuff fixed.

Disappointed by Changes and Support. I did so much research and found so much support behind the DJI Osmo Mobile, warranting me asking for it as a gift. I took it with me to Spain and other trips through March 2018, while taking many great photos/videos. It’s now June 2018 and I can no longer take great panorama photos because now you only get 2 options that don’t even come out different. Now, I feel like I should just take my chances using my regular iPhone panorama while my phones on the Osmo. I tried reach support and no one could help me understand why or if there even was a change. I’ve tried contacting in multiple different formats, with each to no avail. I’m now left with a half-as-optimal photo machine that I don’t want my girlfriend feeling disappointed about buying.

AMAZING!! I’ve been waiting for something like this.. This app is absolutely game changing. Adobe needs to step it up. I have been looking for an app like this for a while... and I can’t BELIEVE ITS FREE!! I wish there were application integrations, I would happily pay a small subscription if DJIPRO integrated directly with Adobe the way ADOBE RUSH, does, so a click could import this rough draft into the timeline with edits, transitions and music for further editing. I think that would raise the roof for everyone. It would give DJIPRO an ROI on their software, help the adobe community get things done faster. While growing and expanding the DJI audience, and giving this application more revenue for further development. If anyone sees this review, someone please push this idea forward. ( and don’t forget to credit me as the inspiration ;) I wish you all great success!!

Good except storage. Unlike others I have had no major issues with the app. The auto-follow doesn’t do everything I would like, but that’s more an issue of recognition software limitations than it is the app. For example it will lose you if you’re in a dark area with bright light behind you or if you turn your back on the camera and move around a lot. Overall I’m very happy except the storage. It’s ridiculous that they use their own storage area instead of the camera folder. This makes it a much bigger process when moving movies/photos off your iPhone than it should be. Would be a 5 minute fix, not sure why they don’t address this issue.

Went from amazing to super frustrating.. Don't fly very often, so I always do latest software and firmware updates for the controller, drone, app and batteries before I fly. Bad move. My P3P flew like a dream the last time I flew it about 6 months ago no prob. Got it out 4 days ago. Updated. Did a full preflight check (I am a licensed pilot) and no video signal. It says detecting strong interference. I move to another location 15 miles away, same deal. Move to another location 10 miles from that. No change. Been to all the forums, troubleshooting for days and am very frustrated. All three places could always fly far with no video issues, now it won't connect a video feed from 2 feet away on the ground. I am going to give DJI the Benefit of the doubt and hope they realize the problem they must have caused (I've read everyone else's angry reviews) and fixes it soon. I'll update my review then. Till then, I'm looking into other products.

If it works leave it alone.. If your drone is working fine you don’t need to update the software and firmware. The update firmware includes updated fly zones or no-fly zones. If you update your software and firmware you run a high risk of not being able to fly your drone in the new zone updates. Your drone was very expensiveTo purchase. The firmware updates are difficult and I don’t recommend updating firmware too often. You can Corrupt your firmware update easily. If it works fine leave it alone. Done

DJI Osmo Mobile 2 - BEWARE. I’ve used the Osmo 2 for a total of 10 minutes, now on my iPhone 7 Plus it won’t tilt, when it DOES tilt it is not a result of my input on the button, it just rapidly ON ITS OWN VOLITION, flips the phone back and forth, banging the phone like it’s possessed. I downloaded this app to my old iPhone 6 to see if the Osmo 2 would work with it. Not only does it behave the same way, but this app doesn’t even have the Osmo Mobile 2 in the list of devices for the iPhone 6 to connect to, nor does its WiFi signal show up to connect to. If I run the app on my iPhone 7 Plus the Osmo Mobile 2 is listed. Why isn’t it listed in the same app when running it on an iPhone 6? This page says “works with this iPhone” yet it does not. Buyer beware.

Disappointed in DJI. I recently purchased the phantom and was very excited. The standards of DJI and reputation are what persuaded me in the initial purchase. Boy was I wrong. I have had the luxury of flying with the app connected without problems. Approx third time that I tried to load the app it would only stay connected for a minute or so. I have deleted and reinstalled this app twice. Nothing, now it won't even open. Called customer service and after a lengthy wait time it was decided that my device (iPhone 6) was the culprit. Wrong! I sent the phone information repair and it was giving a clean bill of health. Nothing was even wrong with my device. Thanks DJI rep! Now what any suggestions. Do I return my phantom. Or is there light at the end of the tunnel,,,,HELP HELP HELP

Problem submission and ease of use.. Tried to submit a bug report from the app. I filled everything out that pertained to me and my product as best as I could. Tried to select submit, and nothing. It seemed that it wouldn’t allow me to submit because I didn’t fill out all “fields”. Here’s the problem, some of the fields deal with flight issues. I don’t have a flying device. I use my product only with my phone, not drone work. How can I get help if I can’t let you know I have an issue. I also can’t find a phone number to call.

Osmo Mobile 2 has great potential. I have been using the Osmo Mobile 2 for just a few hours with my iPhone X on iOS 11.4 and here are my impressions so far. Great stabilizer for a great price. The app worked good. It’s missing 4K 60fps and the use of the 2X camera on the iPhone X. It would be nice to be able to use the 2X optical zoom, rather than digital zoom. That is more important than 4K 60. Stabilizing works better in 1080 than it does in 4K... but both still look really great for a “prosumer” device. Only experienced the “jelly” issue with the built in stability fighting OSMO if I am really banging the device around. The M button doesn’t make a lot of sense... it sure what it’s best features are yet. I really like the timelapse and motion scenes... plan to use on storm and sky photography. So far, very impressed with device and app. Let’s hope DJI keeps improving battery life, charging, frame rate, and camera support. Another few months of development and this will earn a 5 Star review.

Used with Osmo mobile 2. I recently purchased an Osmo mobile 2 and I think this device and app are great for those new to gimbals. I was afraid that I was going to have an issue with memory management, but simply clearing the cache freed up my precious iPhone space. The tracking and follower modes are neat and actually practical. However, the tracker does occasionally drop the object. The Osmo 2 works with the standard iPhone video/photo app and others like Filic Pro, however, to utilize the full potential of the gimbal features, DJI Go must be used. Overall, it’s a good app.

Sends You Somewhere Else. I don’t do too many reviews, just because it’s not really needed, but this one..... This is blatant and ridiculous from DJI. It’s obvious they want you into another newer unit, as anything other than a upper unit is now a brick with the DJI GO app. I downloaded the Litchi app for $23, and guess what, it works. DJI go app continues to send you to the “quiz” and after that, white screen of death. I LOVED the DJI GO app for several years, but now, it’s just literally garbage, like unusable. How can DJI do this? It’s business... they have more units using the newer apps and they “made” the DJI GO app ground the older units, moving some to new equipment ... look at all the forums and it’s obvious. Too bad they don’t have a phone number ...

Bluetooth Connection needs better options. When I use this app with my iPhone 11 Pro the gimbal will connect easily but when I switch to my older iPhone 6 to save storage space there is no connectivity unless I turn off Bluetooth to the iPhone 11 Pro.. The app seems to be selecting the newer phone as a primary device instead of letting the me (the user)determine which phone to use with the gimbal it would be nice if toggling the Bluetooth was not the only way to switch phones. I use my iPhone 6 to save storage space on my 11 Pro and to have creative vintage visuals from the older iPhone camera system.

Works great!. Iv read a lot of people’s negative reviews since the last software update. I had to the update as well. Didn’t take the first time so I couldn’t pair my devices. Then I finally got them to pair but my aircraft had no connection. It was aggravating at first but I just redone the steps from the beginning then it worked fine. My Phantom 3S flies better than ever and I continue to level up as a pilot so cheers DJI.

To anyone having Bluetooth issues. The software is a pain … but I got it working after some fiddling. Here are the steps I recommend to get rid of the Bluetooth issue - 1. Be sure you only have one device you’re trying to connect. If you connected an older phone and then try to pair with a new phone and the unit senses the older phone is on, it will not pair. 2. Reset your password - the app only seems to work if you’re logged in. If you need to reset your password, the email will be in Chinese. Use Google translate and it’s basically two steps involving entering your email on the website (click the email link to get there) and then enter the new password twice on the next screen. You should see a green circle and arrow on the website if it takes. 3. Finally, I recommend fully deleting the app on your phone and then reinstalling. Go through the set up and give the app access to your camera, gps and blue tooth. Use the new login password and approve all the prompts. If you start fresh, the blue tooth error should be gone and you should see a list of devices on the app which you can then connect to. My issue, like many of you, is that I didn’t use the app for like 6 months and when I tried to open it, the Bluetooth error kept coming up. Refresh the app, reauthorize the app permissions on your phone and you should be back in business. Good luck … not a great app.

software renders their devices useless. The biggest problem with DJI is that their software makes it incredibly difficult to use their products. You have pretty much have bought a fancy brick, unless you sign in, and agree to their terms and update, their software and firmware, pair the devices again, and the calibrate, every time you try to use your device and now oh no! your battery is dying already, never mind the fact that you missed the magical shot you had just gotten an opportunity to take 15 minutes ago when you grabbed your gear! Also of not is the fact that the majority of these tasks require a signal, so if you’ve got a dedicated device as a monitor or camera (like an old iPhone) that doesn’t have cellular connection, or you’re out in the woods, on location, or just somewhere without a WiFi connection capability, you’re equipment is dead weight. I’m not really exaggerating, their software is such a hassle to use that it goes beyond frustrating and hinders your ability to actually use their devices. Whether it be the Osmo series, the drones, the ronins, you end up with the same experience, you’re spending more time trying to set it up every time you want to use it than you will actually using it.

App works well...when it doesn’t crash. Since the last update, the app is crashing 2 minutes into use...literally to the second. I currently have footage to edit using the app and I can’t even get started! Same thing on happens on multiple devices.

Waste of time don’t buy. If you want to use the gimble you have to open the app and wait for an advertisement then navigate unrelated screens and then more waiting and then select the device you’re using (the app is for several devices) By the time it allows you to actually use the gimble whatever you’re trying to video is over. this app is a total waste of time . You’re better off holding your mobile phone in your hand and taking the shot.

Not suited for its purpose. I’m incredibly frustrated with this app - it’s made for drones and the gymbal is a random add on. Why should my privacy be compromised with mandatory geo location if I’m using just the gymbal? That’s completely unacceptable and I would never have bought the product had I known. Also the app is glitchy.

Wow you guys are skidz. Drone now completely lost! Due to poor app programming in Xcode 🤔 Do you hire school kids to dev DJI Go? Since the Darwin kernel logs don't lie about your app crashing mid flight then not executing again. Nice job everyone at DJI. Ripper way to get people using Litchi or other third party apps! Well... Unless your excited for your drone to disappear. Lammers coded this... Avoid this and buy Litchi!

Good start but... Osmo Mobile 2. Osmo Mobile 2 - PLEASE PLEASE enable more manual control for hyperlapse and time-lapse modes. Once you have selected manual control it should continue in all video modes. Or at the very least let AE lock perist regardless of mode. Ideally the raw photos for hyperlapse modes could also be stored as an option then some issues could be fixed in post.

App continually crashes making my expensive camera useless. The mere fact that the app is crashing across most users and had not been resolved after more than 10 days is an epic fail for these products. I will never be buying a device from this mob again.

AD. Please make an update for iPhone X, really waiting on that. Any clues on when it will be updates and is there an update coming at all, to take full advantage of the iPhone X screen? Thanks

Reinstall App to stop constant crashes!. Ok, I was frustrated beyond polite words and I was ready to toss out my new gadget BUT I didn’t give up. Im using an iPhone X. Guys and girls, if you are experiencing constant crashing delete the app. Switch off your phone, restart and reinstall the app. Works like a dream! Apologies to anyone that may still experience issues.

Good app but needs three improvements. Got my osmo mobile 2 through Apple this week. Great gimbal like the app with what is intended for. Only three things need to be addressed. 1. Battery usage when the app is in use drains a lot of iPhoneX battery (only 2 weeks old phone) when 1080p 30fps used. 2. More frame rates for 4K and 1080p designed for modern phone capability. 3.manual control GUI for shooting Look forward to next update.

Fixes needed, but overall app is good. Overall the osmo mobile and this app work well together on my iPhone X. Simple UI and really great control with timelapse functions. I recommend it.

Buggy, frequent crashes. I shoot corporate events and thought it would be great to get some stabilised footage to supplement the rest of our footage. Big mistake: DJI GO crashed and froze my iPhone 6s at least a dozen times on the night. I got the footage I wanted, but it was more trouble than it was worth. I won’t be going near this app until I hear it’s fixed. Strictly for social use, if at all. Update: I’ve had this product for a little over a year now and it is completely unusable, not to mention out of warranty. Never buy a DJI product if it requires a phone to function.

Worst App. I was trying to set account and it’s almost impossible. Sent me reset password link in foreign language I can’t understand . And 8-20 characters password is just aJoke - almost can’t match any of the password I try so I give up .

Poor customer service. The controls/buttons in the app are small and take several attempts when trying to make adjustments even while using a larger plus size iPhone. Lack of support for current phone models seems to be a complete lack of priority, can’t record 4k 60fps on new hardware using the osmo mobile and 8plus

Hardware is only as good as the software that controls it. I’ve had my Osmo Mobile 2 for a number of years and various iPhones. The app is absolutely rubbish and often doesn’t connect or control my camera. None of the advertised features have been available to me simply because this app either crashes, doesn’t connect, or just stops respony to tapping of buttons or icons. Do not buy their hardware. It won’t work.

Osmo mobile won’t work because the DJI Go app crashes continually. I was shown this at an Apple store, was so impressed with the photos and video that I bought one, I can’t believe DJI has an app that controls it’s hardware that won’t work, I can’t give any stars to something that won’t work

Absolutely not useable on iPhone 6 Plus. iPhone 6 Plus only offers max 1080 and when using the app, the camera drops frames continually. The result is not s smooth video as it appears the cache of the app cannot keep up and I have a 128Gb unit. This is a total waste of money and the only thing to do is not use the app, lose all the cool features that are mostly buggy and use the iPhone camera and bypass the app. Basically you are just using a gimbal without visual control. Needs to be sorted. Also the system is not a good flow path and it should allow you to record direct to your photo library and bypass the useless manager and editor. What is it with software companies that continually pander to the idiots and ignore professionals?

Good Overall but lacking some functions. This is a good overall system. My only gripe is that there is no way to program an automated pan unless you’re shooting timelapse. The manual pan joystick just isn’t good enough for smooth horizontal pan. It’s an easy fix, and one that many people have been asking for.

Nightmare. This app is a total nightmare. All my photos disappear so I can’t download to my phone. It happens all the time and I have to stop using this app for photo shooting. Not to mention it still does not have iPhone X support (it’s been like more than a month, come on DJI).

Excellent for blind flying. I have got a old phantom 3 advanced and I am at the moment looking for a plane I lost the other day, and it is excellent for going out of sight and flying ‘blind’ for up to 2 metres searching for the lost plane. Good app I recommend it.

App drains battery life. This app is buggy and never remembers your camera settings, always defaulting back on each start up. But worst of all this app drains your battery like there is no tomorrow. I use this app for both Phantom & OsmoMobile2 and it can drain 40-50% in no time at all, especially on the gimbal. Having to manually save videos/photos to your device is also an extra, unnecessarily annoying step as well...

Bluetooth connection. Why it is very difficult to connect, especially on pairing, it takes forever before the osmomobile will be detect on phone, and once detected it cannot be connected because it takes too long. Very disappointed on the app.

Promises much, but mostly delivers frustration.. When it works it’s great, but getting my iPhone 7+ to connect to my Osmo2 is a laborious process... after which time the app works for a while but then it decides to ignore the record button on the Osmo2 completely. Deleting video files within the app is a pain as selecting any more than 2 at a time crashes the app, and yep every single time. Also, I have deleted images and videos multiple times only to then import the files to my desktop machine and sure enough they are there again. So with each new batch of video I import I have to re-re-re-delete every other video I have ever taken, yet again. I have gone through settings, cleared caches, done everything that makes sense in efforts to delete or reset the app, but nothing seems to work. Also, spelling!! When saving burst images can you please update the default filename to ‘burst’ and not ‘brust’. This app could be great, but if DJI can’t develop a stable app for their simplest in-hand product then how can i trust they’ll get it right for an expensive drone flying a mile offshore? I hope DJI read these reviews as I look forward to seeing these things sorted. Like I said, it could be a great app, but for now I’d be looking elsewhere. Thanks, Ben

Pretty good, if a little controlling. Overall I'm pretty happy with this app. I have a Phantom 3 Advanced, and can't say I have had any real problems wither the app. When I first had it, I couldn't get to to let me fly beyond 30 meters, even tho all the settings were right. I re-installed and it started working. Every now and then it limits me again, but I'd I go into the app and log out and then log in again, it starts working as it should. That's not a bog, it seems to be something DJI have built in. Apart from that minor annoyance, everything else works a treat so far. My recommendation for ppl that have issues is to contact the local authorised DJI dealer. In my case with Rise Above, they addressed everything quickly and accurately.

Constant crashes. This app used to be solid as a rock. What happened?! I thought I’d captured an incredible sunset time lapse using my Osmo Mobile last night but after it finished recording the app promptly crashed. Then it kept crashing every time I tried to access my media to see if the time lapse had saved. Had to restart my iPhone to get it to open again only to find I’d lost the entire 2 hours! Not good enough. I’ll be sticking to competitors apps from now on.

App is 0%. The app completely lets down the hardware. If you are happy shooting everything manually, using your phones camera app, then the gimbal will deliver great stabilization. If you wish to use the auto tracking feature in the DJI app it will crash and crash to the point of frustration. They have not kept up the apps software in pace with IOS changes and now is completely incompatible. You can’t even keep the app open long enough to change the settings in the app. DJI get it together, fix the bugs, or stop advertising that it can do things, to which it clearly cannot. False advertising is illegal in Australia. Look after your customers or you will have none. I have the osmo mobile product. Was getting one of the drones, but will now look at other brands. And will head back to the place of purchase to return the item. My recommendation is that if you are looking for that gimbal that auto tracks an image then this product is not for you. Look at other brands.

Changes photo dates. Frustrating app that needlessly wastes your time: 1. All media is stored inside the app without the option to save into the Camera roll by default. No, I don’t want to use the DJI Editor - it’s not very good. 2. To download the media you have to select them one by one for download. Too bad if you’ve taken hundreds of shots on a holiday. There goes hours of my life I won’t get back. 3. Media date stamps are changed to the current date upon download to the Camera Roll. What the!? The bug alone makes the app worthless. For a company that is meant to be serving the needs of photographers, DJI seem to be out of touch with basic media management needs.

Okay but.... This app works reasonably well but seriously DJI why do I have to go through the pointless process of creating an account just so I can use the device? (Osmo for iPhone) In this day when people such as yourselves are being hacked & user ids stolen why do you need this info? Seriously. I can use the device via FilmicPro without the same nonsense so I’ll stick to that thanks.

Still no update on using the second lens. So this feature has been requested for quite a while, couple of times by me too, and it obviously is an important feature for the users but DJI doesn’t seem to do anything about it. We should be able to use the iPhone’s second lens so we can capture zoomed in footage but when will DJI update the app with this? It surely is not a time consuming feature to develop.

BEWARE: misleading clear video cache function will delete all your videos!. Ran out of storage on my phone so tried to delete some unwanted videos with large file size in the app’s editor just to hope to free up some space. The storage usage for DJI Osmo did not seem to reduce at all. Found this clear video cache function and thought it could be the right one to free up space used by deleted videos just as the label said. Worst luck ever, it deleted not only the cache, but all my precious videos without any backup. Tried bunches of IOS file recovery tools without any luck. So beware of this function!

Something wrong. Since I bought DJI osmo mobile few days ago, every time I took video with this app my battery on my IPhone 6s always dry up quickly in 5 minutes become 50%. When I used ordinary video recording, all is normal. Team support please fix this app or will be getting worse.

Does what it needs to. So the app does what it needs to. Not more from my point of view. Their competitor, Parrot, while at the time of review have inferior hardware; their software is far superior to this. DJI seem to have developed the app to follow regulations but not give some of those auto pilot features to the careful flyer. My biggest disappointment is with regards to the auto pilot and mapping. Wish I could set altitude, waypoints, speed, direction and camera angle/direction from the app for a automated flight. But it appears to be stable hence 4 stars.

We need this..please make it better.. This is not a bad apps..but its got some errors, trying to save the new video (its been edited and generated)to the iphone storage but it save the old one, and also when i trasfer to the laptop the video quality is not good..please fix and make it better..!! Thank you.

Missing photos - all gone!!!. Can’t believe DJI released this without proper testing. Too so many photos on the Osmo mobile and guess what??? All of them were gone!! Cant find them on the app at all. Only videos were visible. If I could swear on this review I would have sworn non stop. DONT RELY ON THE APP!!!!

Should save video to camera roll by default. Gimbal is pretty good, just noticed it doesn’t save video to the camera roll, you have to go in and select all the videos and then save them to your device... why? Why can’t you have the option to save to the camera roll by default? I want all my footage easily downloaded onto my computer for editing, I don’t want this additional step of selecting all the videos and downloading all these videos to the camera roll, it is superfluous... SAD!

After updated not functioning. After recent updated when I turn on my OSMO+ it doesn’t not function at all, can’t even turn on screen, it keep displaying “Gimbal Locked”, please fix the problem

Taking my Phantom 3SE back. Okay , I do understand this can’t be anything like a MAVIC pro, but in Every way shape & Form this drone and APP has failed me. I am a dji Fan and Customer but I can’t but wonder what they achieved by releasing this drone which has given me no end of trouble. From inadequate range to inferior pictures from its 4K-12mp camera to its useless wifi , I can’t help but say I wasted my money. For a drone with identical camera SPECS to a MAVIC in it, I can say your dreaming get even a 300m clear picture transmission and remote range. My first negative dji product review ever, I am hoping for, at the very least, a credit for this Drone. WISH me Luck!!!

No longer works with Ozmo Mobile 2. The app used to work great. It will no longer pair the Ozmo Mobile 2 with my iPhone 11. Other apps like FilmicPro are able to connect and work the same Ozmo Mobile 2. Please fix this DJI, this is not good enough.

Needs to be fixed!!!. You pay good money for DJI’s amazing product and this app is just a let down. I have an iPhone 7 and With my Osmo mobile 2, it’s constantly crashing, the video is jittery and glitchy even after exporting, active track is buggy and works horribly and there are so many bugs that make it a headache to use. I want to love this app but frankly, it doesn’t work.

Seems to have improved. I read the existing reviews and thought “oh no! What have I done?!” However, I have just been getting to grips with the Osmo Mobile 2, using the latest app version (late jan 19) and so far it seems good...

DJI Go needs a lot more work. iPhone X runs extremely hot using this app with Osmo Mobile 2 when compared to native camera app. Also Bluetooth connection is unreliable sometimes unless I shutdown the phone and reboot all other Bluetooth devices must be disconnects to use this app, needs a lot more work and development to be even half way useful and reliable.

Useless since update. Was ok but latest update won’t progress beyond splash screen before crashing hence app now totally useless - deserves 0 stars. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Drone now grounded until DJI fix, but looking at the number of 1 star reviews reporting constant app crashes I have low confidence. Autopilot or Litchi perhaps the only solution?

Well done... it’s totally broken now. Every update of this app has made it worse and worse to the point it won’t even work at all anymore. So many complaints about the same thing and yet it falls on deaf ears. I used to tell everyone how good DJI was but now I have to tell people to avoid it like the plague until they fix their fukups. Thank god for Litchi or I would have thousand dollar ornament sitting in my lounge. You guys (dji) are fricken pathetic. Please employ at least one person with some brains please. Do I sound frustrated?.... YOU BET!

Doesn’t open. This app is not even worth the one star I’m forced to give it. It never makes it past the opening title screen, crashes every single time without fail. So many functions of the Osmo Mobile that are promised upon purchase are made inaccessible by this joke of an app. How it is still permitted to exist on the App Store is beyond me.

Just disappointed. Well. I had high hopes for this but sadly. The instructions weren’t clear enough. I find the app useless. All you guys had to do was make it in black and white. Just having blue tooth on would be enough. I can’t get the thing to work so I’m VERY disappointed. Spent a whole week trying to get it running but it just doesn’t work

Dead app.. No longer works with multiple DJI products. Doesn’t connect, crashes, even when it worked in the last it didn’t control the Osmo properly. Disappointing as it cripples many of their products.

Doesn’t pair with iPhone. Why is this app not working with iPhone anymore? This is a ridiculous way of forcing people to update. I have barely used my OSMO3 and I can’t even try to use it now anymore Can you please do something about that?

60 FPS please! :). Really like the Auto create feature of the app which combines a day’s video and make a snap video for you. Would love to use this app more if it can support 60fps shooting with gimbal. Thanks.

Poor performance. This app is a waste of time. If you own a phantom 3 standard don’t even bother downloading this app unless you need to upgrade firmware. Apart from that this a useless tool. Pay the $35 and download the litchi app. Otherwise you have to manually fly the drone. DJI do not care about the end user of their product and the software reflects this.

DJI standard app not working. Recently I’ve updated my iPhone X system software for the latest iOS14.3. Now I can’t connect my DJI drone to my phone. Looks like new iOS not working with dgi app. So app developer has to look in to this. Cause my drone now useless. It’s still connecting the old phones with old iOS.

Crashes. My app crashes on my iPhone 6 plus and I will use it for about 5 minutes then the app will crash then I trued flying today and the app just froze then wouldn't let me go past the choosing screen I need help or an update or something

App not working. What the hell is going on? iPhone 12 Pro app crashes every 1 second loading up?????? Paid lots of money for this new, back your products and fix the app????

Cannot register. Can’t register to the app... please help !

App is Terrible. This app is garbage. Not sure if the developers are gonna fix the plethora of issues and glitches but as of now I’d recommend to stay far away from any of the products associated with this specific DJI GO app.

Horrible app. I’ve been using this app with the DJI osmo 2. Two days ago I connected my mavic pro to take a flight. Now, my osmo two won’t connect using the app. There is no easy way to connect between devices. Disappointed with the lack of support from DJI.

Good app. Work well but I’ll like to see much better the osd battery voltage. I cant see white value on a green box. Chosing an other color could be much better. I think critical info must be seen very well on srceen. Please DJI do something.

Will not connect to Osmo M2. Its been a while I have not used my Osmo 2, like over 6 months, but i seems not to work properly with IOS 15…. It keeps saying the bluetooth must be turned on?! But on my iphone, its never off ! Unless my battery is out, then I would have nothing to complain about! Please fix this issue asap ! Otherwise your product is completely useless. Update to review: deleted the app twice, and re-installed. 2nd time it asked me for all the access permissions again and it is working once again on ios 15. It is strange that it did not remember its permissions from previous ios. Let's presume this had nothing to do with DJI but more on the ios behaviour.

Requires updating. DJI osmo mobile no longer works. Tons of bugs and Bluetooth wont connect! Terrible to not continue to support your products.

Crash every time. App crashes every time I try to open it.

Bluetooth connect but app wont work!. Hey just updated the app and now my osmo 2 wont work! It connects to my iphone but when i open the app it wont open the camera with the dji app. Just keep saying need to connect bluetooth, but i go and blue tooth is connected already?! What is the problem

Price quality doesn’t work. The app down work properly

Goodbye DJI. Update came with endless updated contract and gives them the full right to give unspecified and unlimited personal info away and do anything they like with it. There are no limits. Latest update fails to recognize Bluetooth and says it’s not on, when it is - with device connected. Now also requires unlimited access to your info too and will not work without signing in so they know who u are. DJI is the second Chinese manufacturer that doing this in one week. So goodbye DJI.

App not working. My iPhone X can’t connect the Bluetooth with osmo mobile 2

App crashes. Can’t even open the app! Please update soon.

Cannot use the Osmo Mobile 2😢. Doesn’t connect to the app. Cannot use the Osmo Mo

Will not connect to iPhone 11 on iOS 14. Used for Osmo Mobile 2. This app is useless. As stated in many reviews, it just stopped connecting to the device. Aside from the invasive data mining that you have to authorize, this has rendered a perfectly working device completely useless. Will not connect to Bluetooth even though the phone clearly sees and will connect to the Osmo. The app says to enable Bluetooth and connect. Seems they are either bricking these older devices, or maybe you have to “allow all (spying)” to get it to work. 0/10 would not recommend. Also, the password reset email is in Chinese, and the phone number option also lists “main land China number”. Deleting app and all information. Guess I’ll toss the device as well.

Crashing. iOS 14.2. Can’t even open the app. Please fix ASAP.

False advertising. The app doesn’t work. Totally false advertising.

Needs work. The app is well designed visually but isn’t very robust. The app crashes often whether downloading or deleting videos. Frustrating to use.

Feels like an abandoned project.. "activation service error" "error 1106" when trying to pair an Osmo Mobile 2 to an iPhone 11 Pro Max. DJI support informed me that the iPhone 11 Pro Max is an unsupported device and even sent me a link to their product page. Guess Apple should re-evaluate selling the Osmo if it’s not compatible with any of Apple’s new phones or more likely iOS 13 in general.

GARBAGE. Cant fly my drone with this app... it won’t let me update the imu it crash after 1%. I can’t believe i spent hundreds of dollar on my drone and i can’t even use it. Worse app

Does not “work on this phone”. Completely useless on non-button phones: you can’t even get past the first-run permissions settings.

App won’t start. We bought a Osmo Mobile 2 for the office and now it won’t work because the app won’t run. Please fix this DJI.

Can’t connect with iPhone 11 Pro Max. My Osmo Mobile 2 won’t connect with my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

P. O. S.. Stopped working with latest iOS. Nothing works. Don’t buy osmos mobile

It’s flawed, but works. If your app says to turn Bluetooth on, then try uninstalling & reinstalling. Give the app permission for everything (including Bluetooth) and your device should connect. You can then go to settings and limit what you share with the app.

JUNK. Just re installed the app on my iPhone X and it crashes two seconds after opening it every time. Needs some major improvements! I can’t fly my phantom 3 at all because of this.

DjIi phantom 3 S. Every time I am flying using this app I get Strong Interferance warning continuesly. Is this the app?

Embarrassing..... Embarrassing app for such a professional company. Hang your heads in shame and fire the developer.

It stopped working. This app needs update. It used to be good. Now the app keeps on telling me to turn on Bluetooth while my phone Bluetooth settings already shown connected. Update: I uninstalled the app and forget the Osmo under Bluetooth. Reinstalled the app, create an account by giving them an email. It does the trick and Bluetooth is able to connect within the app.

Works great when it works.. You’d think that with today’s Bluetooth technology, the Osmo 2 would pair easier. There’s no way to reset the whole system if there’s a problem. Got a new phone? Better sacrifice your old one to the gods before trying to hook up. This thing wants to mate for life with your your old faithful . You can be fully connected with your phone and DJI GO will still ghost you. You don’t have any choice but to use this app so Good luck. Fix your pairing, DJI. Please!

Do not support iPhone 11 wide angle. Please update software to support iphone11 super wide angle

Can't set up drone. Can't use drone because app is bugged, good selling point

App won’t let me create an account. The app won’t let me create and account to use the gimble.

Osmo Pro no display. Please update this app to work properly with iOS 14 and Osmo Pro. The display within the app is extremely unreliable. Disappointed with DJI abandoning effort on much of their hardware.

DJI osmo 2. How comes this used to be the app for my Osmo 2 and now it thinks I own a Drone?! They changed the app to a drone one and how I am supposed to control my Osmo 2 filming accessory now?

Works fine. Works fine for me on the Inspire 1, well laid out and simple to use, I mostly use it for photography.

No privacy. This app is a privacy nightmare. I don't want my data going to China.

Active Track is not focusing. Please update the app for the Active Track is not working properly. It won't focus on the subject and will cause abnormal swinging of the gimbal.

Just scratch the surface and you’ll find a pile of crap. It has all the appearances of a great app but the functionality is very quirky and unintuitive.

App no longer compatible. App no longer works on my iPad mini. Used to work fine, but must have gotten excluded on one of the updates. Tried deleting and reinstalling, but could not reinstall. Will try a different app.

I used to be able to take pano. The device keeps disconnecting during panorama shots and always glitches, sometimes it’s stuck in auto repeat and other times it’s just won’t do, it worked really good when I first got it but after a few updates nothing seems to work anymore .

App crash on Pano mode. Dear DJI The App is crashing when creating Pano picture, I hope this issue can be fixed very soon.

Works great!. Please make a PC (Microsoft) version!

Broken app. Doesn't work

Bluetooth Fail. Been using Osmo Pro 2 for years, but now it won’t connect to Bluetooth. Attempted on two different phones and gets the same error to turn on Bluetooth. Osmo is paired with phone, but app just says connect via Bluetooth settings. Extremely frustrating and makes Osmo useless.

OSMO PRO FAIL. Solid Yellow light comes on. Connects to app but can’t see or control Camera. Latest firmware. Worked this morning - now nothing. Changed 5 different batteries - as card - still nothing. No help online. $ 3000 brick!

Nothing but crashes in the app. Time to start working on some major fixes! I wouldn’t have bought the stabilizer if I knew it would crash after 5 seconds every time I open it. It’s garbage

Bluetooth not connecting. Can you guys update the app?? I can no longer connect via Bluetooth... no matter what I try. iPhone 10 running 14.4.1

beyond terrible – fraudulent. This review concerns the DJI GO app for Osmo Mobile 2. At the time of this writing, the Mobile 2 is a discontinued device. I bought mine less than two years ago. It’s in perfect condition, and in fact works very well as a camera stabilizer, which is what it does. But the hardware is absolutely useless, or very close to it, without this app. And although it’s here or the app store, it doesn’t work with my phone and device any longer, though it did. before I get further into this, the point of this review is to talk about the way that DJI lets customers down. If you like a company that makes the easiest way to deal with their non-functioning products to fill up landfills with perfectly functional devices that cost over $100 and have basically zero use, because they neglect key link in the chain, by all means go with DJI. Expect to be screwed, because they will, based on my experience. I say in the title this is fraudulent, and I want to explain what I mean. It makes no difference to me how good your hardware is, if the software won’t let me use it, or won’t let me use the key features that I bought it for. It’s like selling someone a car, and neglecting to mention that the gas tank is made of papier-mâché, and will simply stop holding gas after a few miles of driving. Sure, it’s a car, but if the thing it’s completely dependent on is going to no longer function, AND there’s no fix, AND they continue to provide the completely useless software, then that constitutes a grossly unfair way to treat customers. It’s not as though I’m expecting upgrades. I just want the damn this to function. The thing that doesn’t work is that when I try to connect bluetooth between the iPhone and the device, the software can’t see that the connection is made, and refuses to pen the part of the app that allows you to actually access the camera. This functioned, while the device was a current product. Now, it doesn’t. What would one reasonably conclude? Deleting and reinstalling the app didn’t help. Restarts didn’t help. No firmware updates exist, or at least are accessible, so that route is closed. I use my unit to work with kids in severely underprivileged areas, or at least I did, in one of the South East Asia’s poorest countries. It was a stretch to get the budget to buy this thing, and when we get stuff, we have to take care of it, and we have to make it last. This company is just too clearly at the core of the problem of corporations taking a slave-master attitude towards their customers. You have no recourse, you have no help. In fact, the button that you finally get to when searching their support site appears to not even be connected: clicking it repeatedly does nothing. The company makes ridiculous demands that you register, just to configure your device, not even to use it, or store data. And when the app is first loaded, there’s an opt-in screen that will only let you proceed if you agree to basically expose tons of location data to them. So if you value your privacy, and after you’ve paid a lot of money for the device, then you get to find out that your can’t use it except under what most reasonable people would see as onerous, one-sided, non-optional conditions. Again, fraudulent to represent that you’re selling a product for use, and only afterwards reveal tha that use is conditional on these kinds of demands to share personal data, most especially location data. Is there any chance a company that provides such an unbelievably mediocre, even degrading user experience would change their ways, and start treating customers reasonably? I very much doubt it. Honestly, the unit I have is really a great piece of engineering – but only the unit in my memory, back when this company allowed me to use it. Now they’re effectively forcing me to throw it away, and it would seem, deliberately providing sabotaged software to enforce that. I think it’s terrible, and I think this company should be deeply ashamed of its cynical practices. I strongly urge you to think twice before buying anything from DJI, based on my experiences.

Thanks DJI. Updated app, app now crashes mid flight every time. Luckily the control still works but yeah. I recently bought an LG k20 and the app was doing the same. Switched to an iPhone SE cuz I seen and researched apple worked better with the DJI app. Welp, it did at first, flew a few times flawlessly. But the update on Dec 12, 2017.. completely screwed it up and is acting same as the k20 phone was. Wish I could unupdate. I feel this company should really revamp their app or just make a complete new one. 1 Star from me due to multiple app issues. Thanks😡

DJI has ruined my Phantom 3Pro. I have had my Phantom 3Pro for over two years now. For the first year and a half it always ran fine, no problems at all. Over the last few months with the latest updates my drone has become a useless paperweight. I get messages that I have strong interference and I can’t fly my drone all the way to the DJI Go app crashing all the time. Today I have tried my iPhone and my iPad that used to work fine and the app crashes on both of them! I can’t even fly my drone! DJI needs to fix these issues ASAP!

No Problems for me. I have been flying my Phantom 3 Advanced for over a year with this app. I have never been unable to get video signal or been unable to take off for any reason. This app works every time as intended. Not sure why people are having so many issues. I’m using my Apple iPad Mini 2 mostly and also my iPhone 8plus.

Almost perfect. I have never had an issue with this or Go4 for my drone. BUT it would be nice to use camera without needing to connect gimbal. I drive a semi and like to record my driving for yt. I like the auto editor on here as I’m not always able to get onto compto use premier pro.

Stupid. I set up my accounts... yes I said accountS multiple times online after trying to change my password on the app and trying accounts that just worked on the website but wouldn’t work on the app, so all in all I’ve been trying for 15 minutes to log into the app but it won’t... I go to log into the website and it works perfectly fine. I tried reinstalling the app multiple times but that didn’t fix the problem. And the funny thing is I used to use this app for my phantom and all this started happening since a stupid update refreshed my login

Crashed before iOS update, next update fixed, then the next update broke it again.. Worked wonderfully until just now. App can’t get past splash screen — crashes every time I try to open. My XR is up to date on iOS and I’ve restarted the phone a couple of times. Bluetooth is on. App and drone (Phantom 3 Standard) now useless. Hoping for an update soon. UPDATE: After recent iOS update all is well. Guess the problem was with Apple not DJI. UPDATE 2: after most recent iOS update app now crashes just like before. Sheesh!

Panorama annoyance. The iPhone X takes amazing pictures. What I really want for you guys to do is give us full resolution photos so we can have high quality panoramas on the Osmos 2. I know it would take longer to stitch it, but that’s a trade off I’d be willing to take. You could even program it to where it takes the pictures and doesn’t stitch them until you tell it to. That way, you can do it at the comfort of your home or wherever you want and have the time to let them process. I just can’t figure out why you won’t give us that option. Fix this, and I will gladly give you the five stars.

Too many bugs!. Took many pictures while using this app with Osmo mobile for days, but this app continuously loosing my pictures even I had saw blinking with white screen as like shooting formal shooting user experience. It comes blurred unresponsable screen appears when back from sleep or screen out for a while. And drains too much battery in a time. It must be fixed or enhanced! Hope DJI GO app also become the best among similar kinds.

App needs cloud backup functionality. I have take two vacations and captured great photos/videos with the DJI OSMO Mobile. After the first, I got a new phone and went from 128 to 64 gb. I noticed that the DJI Go app was taking up 30 gb of space so I deleted thinking I could reinstall and have access to my photos and videos.. nope all gone. Recently I swapped my SIM card when traveling abroad causing the app to delete along with 2 weeks of photos and videos. DJI is not a small operation. It’s unacceptable that they have not developed an app that allows for better file storage/access. Very painful to lose those special memories..

Updates. I hate this app so gd much. On average I shoot about 1 real estate video in a remote area every 2 weeks and every single time it requires an update. But of course it won’t update without WiFi so unless I remember to update before I leave (unlikely) I need to go hunting for free WiFi. Why does it require so many updates? Don’t know. Why does it render the app unusable until it updates? Don’t know. All I know is I’m currently sitting at a Panera bread for the umpteenth time waiting for this stupid app to slowly download before I can get to work.

Needs to be better. When the app works, it's pretty flawless. Settings are easy to find and set, and it tracks your flights. When it doesn't work, it's frustrating. DJIs support is useless. They have no clue how to help, they just point you to a website that gives no valuable help. Some of the third party apps are so much better, but DJI hardware won't work without this software to get it all synced, when it works. DJI needs to do a complete rewrite and include more features, and less app issues.

DJI PLEASE READ!!. The app is ok at most, but theirs an app I know you guys heard of called Litchi and it has more features and also heard it works a tad bit better than dji go. Hope by the next update you guys get with the program cause me and a lot more people don't mind spending the extra $20-$25 bucks for better. Also how about adding a toggle switch on the FPV screen to turn the LED lights on or off instead of having to go through the settings to do so. Would be quicker.

Couple of basic Functions. Thanks for the Osmo mobile 2 & app, I love your tracking and compatibility with the great software like RecoStudio/Switcher studio/Filmic . Couple of dumb simple thing I am missing : 1) record PAUSE button ? How is that possible you ain’t got one ? 2) Video insert/slip. Why can’t I just record a piece in the place I paused watching ? This Will dramatically increase my time to product since all I’ll need is just cut/trim extras

Crap @ exporting and retaining footage.... When it comes to exporting movies created I have always received a error and NEVER been able to actually export a finished production. “Video output failed. Download the original files of shots you used to make the video you just edited, and then retry outputting.” A message like that over and over trying multiple different methods will really get you upset! Also footage that you capture will just vanish from the app if you do not save it to your local drive on your phone. The data stays on your phone for retrieving it is very difficult!

Can’t even open the app. I fly at least once a week, and it’s always worked smoothly with only an understandable amount of bugs and glitches. Just this week however, I noticed that the app would crash sometimes while I was flying. Today I went to take it flying again, and I literally couldn’t even open the app. It would just load for 30-60 seconds, and then crash completely. I’m very disappointed and I’m dying to fly my Phantom 3 Standard again. I really hope DJI comes out with a bug fix ASAP so I can get my drone in the skies again

Frustrated. Like others, love my P3 when it works. Always hate when I charge everything up, go outside, and cannot fly coz firmware update is forced upon me. Now it’s the 4 day weekend, DJI Go connects to P3, but firmware update required. I’ve had my P3 for years, so I know how to update. This time, when I try to log into DJI GO (new requirement) it appears to be loading DJI GO 4. Now DJI GO no longer connects to my P3. I have several iOS devices running version 10.0 through 11.1.2 and the problem remains. So tired of dealing with firmware I boxed up my P3

App crashes. I have the OSMO2 and the app crashes a lot. Especially when I start changing the setting for recording in different modes or taking photos using different modes. I’d really like to get on of the flying drones for recording while flying but it seems like the reviews tell me that there are big problems with the recent updates to the drones. I feel iffy about buying anything from DJI for now

DJI has the worst customer service. Worse than Apple or Verizon. That’s bad.. I own the OSMO. Have since 2016. Hundreds of shoots ranging from weddings to concerts. I have used the external mic jack connecting several different styles of microphones. I have went live using this feature. The last update will no longer use the external mic when going live, the device microphone is used. LOL Garbage. I love the ignorance of these big companies. How they can just arrogantly be ignorant and wrong. Fix this issue DJI. Also, they have dropped going to live on Facebook Pages.

Help. Whatever you did yesterday got rid of two of my favorite features of my new Mobile 2 Gimbal...the plain panoramic shot and the 180 panoramic shot. Now everything creates some kind of fish eye look instead of the normal panoramic shot. Can’t those two features be added to the new features. (The icon that indicates panoramic takes 27 pictures and 2-3 minutes to stitch together. )

Crashing. I’ve had a DJI Osmo+ for a little over a year now. The app has always worked fine up until today when I’d open the app and it’d crash after trying to load for about 20 seconds. I use an iPhone 7 to run the app. I also just updated it after it crashed for the first time today thinking that would fix it. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled it. Please fix this soon. I really love using my Osmo+.

Disappointed - buggy. After updating to the latest app, it’s constantly crashing during mid flight. Seems to start ok, all of the intelligent flight modes work but then it will constantly crash. I reopen the app, and it’s good for another 1 min before crashing again. Most of the time, it will reconnect to the aircraft once I reopen the app however there are times it doesn’t and I’ve to disconnect/reconnect the phone (running the app) from the remote. All I want for Christmas is a less buggy DJI Pro app!!

good but cumbersome. This app is great for allowing drone footage and lamp mobile footage but there is one big problem even when I delete some of my old footage the app still takes up as much space as if it was still there which is really annoying cause it means I need to delete and redone load the app to be able to have enough room for more storage please fix this minor problem.

Extremely poor experience. Recently out of the blue, when I opened the app, it demanded that I log in or create a new account. Either of which required an Internet connection, which my iPad didn't have, because it only has wifi and I was out and about trying to fly the drone. Then once I had an account, I started seeing an error that my maximum flight and distance got reset to 25 meters or some such and I had to restart to continue. Very conveniently this would pop up randomly mid flight. I don't think I will ever get another DJI product.

Just crap. I’ve had a P3A for several years. Lots of great flying and lots of hours of video and still shots. Then I bought an Osmo Plus. For a while everything was great. however the downfall is this crappy software. Complicated, quirky, crashes a lot. After another update, now it doesn’t work at all. As soon as I try to take video, 3 seconds in, the app crashes out and I’m back to my icon screen in my phone. I now have 2 bricks as photographic devices. Doesn’t matter what I do. No matter what settings, it dies 3 seconds in.

Buy a product and have to sign your life away!. You need to log in and give the Chinese access to your phone. That’s total BS! There’s is no reason they need you information or access to your phone,.........except to collect your data. Is there some legitimate reason that what you bought simply won’t work UNLESS you give a company/government access to your personal data? FYI: The Chinese Government has it written into law that a manufacturer must add the capability to “Spy” whenever a device is manufactured. That’s why the USA has issues with Huawei and everything they manufacture.

Worthless trash. The DJI go app is useless. It totally burned me out of valuable footage. We could not remember the password to the app, and it will not reconcile your account after that. Piece of garbage - blew 150 bucks on this trash. I recommend you find another option, because this one is completely worthless. Just a bad concept throughout. Video doesn’t go to your phone, and there is zero accessibility if you forget your login details - and who doesn’t?? Worthless trash. I’m looking for a workable option, because this isn’t it.

Crashes are fixed :-). So originally I gave this a one star and I wrote a really bad review, I still stick by it in its previous form but I found a fix and it has been working flawlessly since. I literally just uninstalled the app and then re-installed Problem solved

Cool products, bad app. I have a dji Phantom 3 and an Osmo Mobile. Both really great products but I’m getting really tired of the app. I constantly have problems with my phone completely freezing up only when I open the dji Go app. And recently after the latest update, I connected to my Osmo (which is brand new) and the app just started taking pictures constantly and I couldn’t stop it. I was not pressing any of the shutter buttons. After restarting my phone it seems to be working for now. DJI PLEASE FOCUS ON MAKING THE APP BETTER!

Navigates well when working. As the title says, it keeps prompting me for a quiz that I’m never able to take as the website page looks to be broken. So I can’t never reach my drone controls. Seems like there are more and more restrictions. It’s no wonder DJI is a Chinese company, that they continually tighten and restrict the drones taking away responsibly from the drone pilots and treating us like mindless monkeys. Anybody heard of the great firewall? That’s the same approach here. This will be the last time I buy from DJI. The drone barely functions as it is due to software.

Currently doesn’t function as of 7/3/21. App tells you to turn Bluetooth on. When your Bluetooth is in fact on and connected. First issue I’ve had with any DJI product like this before. Others having the issue are being told it’s their fault by DJI support. Which is what prompted me to write my first app review in 13 years. Fix this DJI… bad look. Love your company, swear by it, tell others to buy your products all the time. Don’t make my recommendation fall flat for people.

Great App and nice gimbal for phone..... Got the Osmo Mobile for Xmas and love it. The app is feature rich and works as intended. Tracking is good and the panoramic stitch function is excellent. Just wished it would save directly to camera roll. Ignore the 1 Star reviews of those for the Osmo....from their context I surmise many if not most are people who simply do not understand how to use their Osmo.

Horrible aftersales customer service. Drone won’t fly because the app keeps trying to make me take a quiz and when I click ok it sends you to a error page which makes your drone un- flyable and after doing research this has been going on for sometime now and no one at this company has done anything about it!!! Simple fix either remove the quiz, fix the link or make it to where you go to a website that works and you can sign in with same info as the app and simply take the quiz and it would communicate with the app that the quiz is completed!

Can I have the later version back. My drone is basically a brick now since this update. I turn on my remote, then my drone, it connects, and then I get a quiz that pops up every single time. That part isn’t that bad and I had it on the last update. The bad part is, I can’t exit out of it because the “x-out” button is to high on my screen for it to be an option. Also, even taking the quiz isn’t an option because there’s a problem with that as well. If there’s a way to go back to the update before, I would greatly appreciate it so I can use my drone/app AGAIN!!

Easy to use BUT- needs update. I enjoy the ease of the app. It does what I want it to do and for me it does it easy. The problem I have is it will not connect to my new iPad Pro. I contacted DJI and they said it was a compatibility issue. The app and the firmware need to be updated as I have read many only reports that this is not isolated to me. The USB C will not recognize the drone is hooked up. Please update!

Bug while creating the required account to use the app. The only way to use this app is to create an account. While I don’t like this strategy I reluctantly began the process of relinquishing my email and creating a password. I was ASTONISHED discovering that the app does not obfuscate the password while typing in the first field. Okay, that’s not good. Well then I discovered the password confirmation field is obfuscated with dots as it should be. Are you kidding me!!!! I immediately stopped as I cant trust these guys to even handle my password properly. Looks like I need to return my new DJI product.

No Problems. Been flying with DJI Products for about a year now and I am very satisfied. I read one review where they were possibly looking for another product because of some upgrade issues. I have never had a problem with my Mavic or P3S. I don’t fly mine everyday but I do make sure they are up to date on updates. I have no plans on changing companies anytime soon.

Crash crash crash crash crash. ...if this app crashes one more time, I think I might throw my poor phone against the wall. The videos I traveled 6 hours for and shot for work all weekend are completely unusable because every time I try to edit them (clip them, etc) the app crashes... every... single... time. At this rate I’ll be missing all of my deadlines. I can’t do anything with it. And on top of that, every time I try to do anything, it overheats my phone. Frustration is off the charts. FIX THIS PLEASE.

Too many limitations and crashes.. Sometimes crashes and other times doesn’t show it’s connected until I close app and restart it. The biggest drawback for me is the 500mb limit on video size that the built in editor and movie creator will allow. My Phantom 3 Advanced shoots HD so 500mb would be about only 2 to 3 minutes worth of video of the 20 minute flights I usually average. This leaves me with the only option of bypassing the editing software and processing it on my computer instead.

Shared Frustration Viewed By Many. Like most of the DJI users, my Phantom 3 Professional has been captioning great photos and videos until last week. The DJI Go app kept crashing while I was out flying over the Atlantic Ocean. I got scared that I might lose it so I stopped. I noticed that an updated was needed and downloaded both RC and aircraft firmware like I normally do. After that the aircraft is no longer linked to the RC. And the DJI GO app is stuck on the “How To Connect” screen. I’ve watched hours of videos and reads lots of forms. Those who fixed the problem with many different techniques you are lucky. My $1000 investment is still not working.

Post production problems. The app does pretty good for flying recording and letting you know most the information you need and is pretty easy to use. Post production is very easy to use but my videos seem to come out choppier and I have a lot of issues with it. I can’t save certain videos and some videos the quality drops with editing so so much. So it’s an easy app to fly with but you may want some different post production software to pair it with.

How to waste $500. With the DJI Spark and DJI Remote you can now not connect the remote to the drone and instead be stuck using just the drone and your iPhone, but be satisfied knowing that you just wasted $200 on a remote controller that no longer pairs to the app, nor connects to WiFi, or transmits signal properly. This app is legit a liability to any investment you make in DJI Products and I don’t recommend using the app to fly any of DJI’s drones. Instead think about using a piece of cardboard that you tie a string to attached to the drone and try flying it like a kite, you’ll have better luck pairing it with this method then the latest DJI Go 4 app. Thanks DJI!

Takes your phones camera to another level. The different settings really take the iPhones capabilities to another level. I knew the camera was good enough to be able to function like a digital camera.

Borderline Useless. App is required to operate the hardware that you purchased. First of all, why is it remotely necessary, to force the user to create an account and go through an “online activation”? Stupid waste of time, if you ask me. Second, I couldn’t unselect any of the “privacy options” to get started... weird. Video capability is laughingly terrible, as well. It makes the default camera app, look incredible. There is no 4K/60, and the video preview window is laggy. Now that the app is installed and is spying on me, I barely open it (only when adjusting settings for the gimbal). Pretty bad.

Not very happy. I dislike many things about the Nov-2017 version of DJI Go. It used to be simple and fun. Here are some negatives to start... - Forces you to make an account with DJI. This is a flying toy/camera. Why should an account now be mandatory? - The touchscreen becomes almost nonfunctional on both my iPhone6s and iPad making it difficult to even create an Acct. I have not seen an app disable my touchscreen before like this app. - The App constantly requests to access photos and location and this is annoying. How about adding a checkbox stating, "No, Don't ask again."

Bloody AWFUL. So know I have this $2500 product that I cannot do anything with. The app crashes. Did I mention that it doesn't work with any device older than iPhone 5. Also don't update the software on your phone. You are screwed. I think DJI is all developing new product and supporting them. Be prepared to have the newest tech every year because the later model thing won't work and are not supported by tech support. I wish I chosen a different platform, but I have to much invested for this not to work. DJI fix this please, you should be ashamed.

Glitchy with Osmo Mobile 2. I love the Osmo Mobile 2, but he DJI GO app is garbage. As I was trying to record my daughters dance recital, the app would just randomly crash—ruining the recording. It does this more often when recording in 4K, but it also has issues at other resolutions. I have basically quit using the app—and just use it with the regular iPhone camera software. This is crappy, because some of the coolest functions are dependent on the app. Great hardware from DJI, but apparently they can’t do software.

Not crazy about this app. I’ve only had the cell phone tripod less than a week. The apps seems fine while my phone is in the tripod but every time I have tried to use the app without the device to look at and possibly download the pics I’ve taken it keeps closing on me ( actually when phone was in Devi e and I tried looking at pics it closed on me then too. Just hasn’t while in pic or video mode. Huge bummer cause if the bugs don’t get fixed before my return period ends I will be returning it. iPhone X user-

Fails with Bluetooth. I have been using this app on an iPhone X with the Osmo Mobile 2 with success for a while. However, I now have an iPhone 12. The phone pairs with Osmo Mobile 2 but the apps functionality fails. The app keeps erroring telling me to turn on my Bluetooth but it’s already connected via Bluetooth. I have to use the iPhone’s video to record anything, panning works, on/off works and record button works. Zooming functions are completely dead. As I said, all these worked within the app now the doesn’t serve a purpose.

App keeps crashing. The app works well until I go and watch my videos I took with the drone. The app crashes every time I watch a video I took with my drone and I have to keep deleting the app and downloading it again to make it stop crashing. It makes it hard for me the watch the videos I took with my drone and I have to email myself the videos instead of just saving it to my photo library

DJI is crashing and burning. I have read some of the reviews and I have experienced the exact same things! Mostly loss of signal at a very short distance both of the RC and the video. It literally pisses me off. When I spend that kind of money to have some fun and get some good pictures and videos and they “downgrade“ the software so that it does not work anywhere near as well, it only serves to make people angry at them. They are cutting their nose off to spite their face. Hey DJI, wake up and get a clue. You’re screwing everything up. I am moving to other products as well.
