Unable to access vaccination record in the app. I can access my vaccination record through the MyGov website linking through to my health record, but when I try to do the same in the app it goes through the motions of searching but doesn’t return anything. The app is pointless if it doesn’t at least replicate the functionality of the website. Would love to see an update with this bug fixed
What is this supposed to be !!!!!!!!!!. I bought an IPad so I had a larger screen to work with. I bought a keypad so my screen was uncluttered. Downloaded the app. Logged in. Found the app opens up the size of a phone screen. There is not enough information on the screen at the one time. Finally completed my report. On the bottom are 2 buttons one to save my report so I have a record of what I have done together with the reference number. This button did absolutely nothing. The second button is to print my report. This button did absolutely nothing as well. I shall be deleting the app. & going back to using a web browser. In the browser saving my report does what it is supposed to do. Then I have a record. Printing my report does what it supposed to do so I can print to PDF & save the file. Did someone get paid for this??????
Used to be great, now it doesn’t work. I am unable to access the ATO through the app as I keep getting an error saying I don’t meet the required identity strength. I have a feeling this has something to do with the recent change where people who have MyGovID linked can only use that to log in. Please update the app so this functionality is restored (even if it requires me to use MyGovID to authenticate each time).
Absolute garbage. Never have I experienced such a poorly functioning app , it just doesn’t work can’t even login to it I finally create a pin then once logged in it wants me to give email and password AGAIN how many times do you want someone to login , but wait once I try to click in the fields to put in those details nothing happens typical of government made anything it never works properly.
Glitch when trying to read inbox messages. I like that the app links the tax department to Medicare and everything in between. What I don’t like is when I get a message notification and I log In to read it, it’s says “not found”. If wait a few hours or a day or so it will eventually work. Please fix the glitches in the messages
Difficult to update. The app tells me there is an update so I hit the update now and it sends me back to the App Store where it tells me to open so I open and then it tells me to update so it takes me back to the App Store. Then it tells me to open so I open…you get the picture also it won’t accept my old password as it’s too short and I can’t make a new password so it’s the right length. Ridiculous.
Wallet limitation?. I appreciate the app making all my five (5) linked services easily accessible, but many of them also include cards that I cannot add to my Wallet. Why can’t I add my Medicare and Organ Donor cards as well as my Pension card? Was this an oversight or is it in development for a later rollout? I also find it disconcerting when the app suddenly shunts me off to the external website. Wouldn’t this present a security issue?
Opening a tax statement gone wrong…. After installing hoping for quick easy iPhone access to MyGov instead of website, but when I navigated my way to my notifications and clicked on one the statement opened and closed repeatedly freezing the app. This happened again after opening and closing the app and also after app reinstall. There was no way to communicate this feedback via the app when I accessed the app again on reopening. The survey I did didn’t allow me to provide sufficient detail. This was a time wasting, disappointing and discouraging experience trying to use the MyGov app and this when I was under pressure to get my personal business done efficiently.
Useful and easy to use. Ignore all the rantings, it’s the usual Aussie whinge for whinging sakes. The tool is useful and easy to access especially if you have the my gov ID app. It has its own wallet for SECURITY purposes. If you have things like Face ID on your phone, you’re in the app within seconds and access to your various wallet information. Works well for my needs.
“You’re not connected to the internet”. As others have mentioned, the app fails to actually work in any way, giving errors and messages as per my title (“You’re not connected to the internet”). This has been for some time, and even subsequent to an app update. That this, the Australian federal government’s primary iPhone app, simply does not work somewhat beggars belief. (Note, tried on multiple devices and multiple unrelated networks, all of them “connected to the internet” - I hate error messages that blame you for the software’s problem, it smacks of arrogance, irresponsibility and laziness)
Can not remove my messages. After many years of being bullied and duped by child support, I had high hopes I could remove those messages to pay excessive child support payments to the mother of my children that could not support them and blew the money on crap… I had hopes that the negative mindset that these reminders serve would be something I can remove… Well I can now remove the messages and will save me heading to Bunnings for cheap rope !! As I no longer need to see how I was bent over with no lube. Looking forwards to some functionality in the app however, this can’t be all about Covid or concessions hey ?
Why?. This is just a worse version of the website with no ability to edit your personal details (which was recently downgraded on the website so you can no longer edit certain features online at all). This app just seems unnecessary, but at least it runs better than any app the government has put out (really not saying much). Two stars because I'm impressed that it didn't immediately crash when I opened it.
Terrible!. I’m an ex Services Australia employee and this App is one of the worst! I’ve been on both sides of the table and it is terrible. I can’t access mine at all now as it just keeps saying I’m not connected to the internet when every other app or internet required program on my phone works perfectly! I need to contact the ATO, should be simple right? Just use the app so you don’t have to wait on hold for ages to speak to an actual person! Laughable!!
Adding concession card. I have the MyGov app installed and easily added Medicare card and vaccination certificate to my wallet. BUT I’ve spent days trying to get my pensioner concession card into my wallet. After trying all three methods to link my Centrelink card to myGov and getting an “unable to verify” message I’ve now been permanently locked out, and told I have to create a new account!!! I give up! I spent an hour and a half on hold yesterday only to be put through to the ATO section because the helpline had closed for the day! It shouldn’t be this hard to get your own information onto the app.
Questionable security, questionable purpose. The app seems easy enough to get started up, but then you realise you have to link it to a bunch of other things for it to be of any use, link it to your “Medicare”, link it to your “GovID”, link your wallet cards from “other apps”. WHY can’t they just put all these things together!!? The whole app just appears to be a portal to a bunch of other apps and gov websites (ATO, Medicare, etc) - I have no idea what its actual purpose is? If that wasn’t frustrating enough, a day after I downloaded it, I’m now getting scam/spam text messages about “alerts” in my “mygov” app that aren’t real, with dodgy links attached. So they’ve obviously got a security breach too and leaked my data. Very disappointing. Don’t recommend.
Passkey - Security Key option missing. Thanks for adding passkey support, which works well through browser, added 3 security keys as passkeys. On mobile app, iOS, there is no option to select a security key to login. Hopefully you will add this feature soon.
Finally!. Quick and easy. Finally, push notifications for my inbox! Looking forward to future updates.

Im not writing this by showing my deepression stressful life but then be educated by judmental on someone individue im not as dumb as u modifier of the gov web, what a shameful of australian it self as no respect to theyre gov so I may say how ur attitude control is being spread over the world would u? im sound rude but then more than enough. #australian #goverment
Oh dear…. I have an iPhone 14 Plus and this app doesn’t work on it - at all. It just says “No internet connection”, which is not the case. The Wi-Fi and 4G are fine. For some strange reason it works on an iPhone 11! How on earth will the app cope when the proposed digital driving license and Myki cards are available to be added?! Oh, my god, can you imagine the 1 star reviews that will flood in?! Ha. I pity the lazy government devs that worked on this…or was it farmed out to some 3rd world labour camp for a bag of marbles as payment? The idiots that created this app should be fired asap. Come to think of it, every government app is useless - this one being the gold standard. Don’t bother…just use the web site and forget this fetid lump of garbage.
Workforce Australia Job search. Searching for a job on Workforce Australia is worser then any other online job seeking app. Handing in resumes is easier. Which makes a job plan extremely difficult when I'm required to seek jobs only on workforce Australia. If i use seek, jora or hand in resumes then both my employment agent or workforce Australia cannot state that ive job searched by workforce and mygov records. The whole job search system in 2024 has gone down the toilet. And i prefer old school job seeking. Note: job searches doesnt even have category of what im suited too. I search an area, the search comes up with 265,000 jobs, and the occupation is just a pick out of the hat. Shocking, fix it.
Another useless waste of government idiocy. The app itself is good (for having everything together) However - I don’t get ANY notifications from ANY of the services (not helpful at all) - may as well keep using the current apps as you are better off getting the services you need to use - put the Medicare card in the wallet (very helpful to have, so please take into consideration) - multi-select messages in inbox and trash to delete (for privacy purposes) - make Centrelink healthcare card CRN numbers bigger (if needed to show to services officers, and also easier to see for those with eye issues) Please update the app regularly as this will help customers with bugs and issues that may arise over time
Adding Medicare card is so easy. After updating the app I was able to add my Medicare card to the wallet in under 5 seconds. So quick and easy. Also love the convenience of quickly and easily accessing my inbox for my linked services.
Sooooo Frustrating. The app seems to work okay for most things but when it doesn’t, it just doesn’t. Try linking Centrelink - good luck! All the identifation details are verified, then you put in contact details and (for the life of me, I know not why) the date you moved into your current address, submit, then COMPUTER SAYS NO. F’OFF FOR 24 HOURS. Patience wears out after 72 hours. Who knows the date over 25 years ago that you moved in? Moronic question!!! Please do some real life testing of this app.
“Not connected to internet” when I am. I tried to send feedback within the app but there is no way for me to enter a comment, so you get a 1 star review instead. I was wondering why my tax return was taking so long so I logged into the website and saw it had been completed weeks ago, I just never received any notification within the myGov app! Opening it up, nothing loads, it just complains I’m not connected to the internet. I recently set up a passkey so I’m not sure if that’s the reason, that doing that logged me out on the app but I wasn’t asked to log in again. Very buggy.
WelldoneMyGov. After reading all the negative reviews I was apprehensive to download this app. Eventually I went for it if only to see for myself. The whole process was entirely painless. All I needed to know were my MyGov login details (duh). Created an 8 digit passcode and setup Face ID. Instant access to all the services. Pension Card went straight into the wallet. Haven’t tried Medicare yet. Hint: to set up a MyGov account I would suggest to get access to a computer. Phones are good but they are not that good. I am 79 years old.
Works for me. After reading reviews was apprehensive about downloading, but had no trouble at all setting it up and accessing information. So much easier to access cards in one digital wallet instead of different apps.
Needs more options to upload documents. Nice app, except I cannot upload any documents etc, to my Gov to answer an issue??? It would be nice, to upload my replies to a request from Centrelink & other government departments! Good effort though
Frustrating and impossible to use.. Doesn’t remember your password. Doesn’t log you in. Doesn’t link properly to Medicare or the ato. So much complicated and user unfriendly security that I can’t access my own information and have to recreate a new account EVERY TIME. It’s probably easier for an online hacker to access my personal information than it is for me. Absolutely abominable user experience.
Fix your Gov App integrations!. I’ve updated my identity strength and can log in online (browser) no problem, but when using the app, I keep getting the same message about not having the correct identity strength. Accessing your services on apps is supposed to be easier and more convenient but you’ve royally messed it up! Even the version where it navigated you away to a browser on your phone and took you down a 2-app login process was better than this experience. It shouldn’t be this difficult to pay taxes!!
Virtually useless app. Government forces us to use the app and yet the app does not work 1 can’t access required information online - instead I am put into an online queue which after about 1/2 hr of waiting the app just closed and logged me out. 2 try to open the messages from ATO and the app goes into a cycle of a window popping up and then retracting immediately with no option other than to reboot the app and start again. Happened multiple times in a row and over several different days attempting access. 3 if you can access your required information / documents via the app and select “Print friendly version” , yeah it opens a document that looks suitable for printing, only the “print” button does nothing.
Never works when you need it to. I don’t use the app very often but when I do, there are always issues. I set up a strong myGovID and even that isn’t good enough to make the app work when I need it. I then have to spend an hour trying to figure out what the problem is and even then, you can get an error with the service being done. It’s really frustrating and a typical example of how tax payer money is wasted on garbage apps.
Review. The app is easy to use and organise things. I've never had trouble with using the app. Its also easy to understand and navigate. I've never had any problems with it.
Notifications. I have Notifications set to go to my Mobile Phone. However I no longer get any notifications there. It has simply stopped working. Please fix
Surprisingly easy and it worked!. Downloaded with apprehension but was pleasantly surprised when it all works well. Only thing that I couldn’t do was share my international covid certificate to save in my files. Everything else worked well 😀
Useful if you can get it to work. Authentication is Byzantine and nearly impossible if you’ve replaced a phone after a loss/theft. Only the Australian public service could make something so inanely obtuse. They probably paid hundreds of millions in consultancies and it’s so startlingly obstructive. I guess it could be slightly worse, at least it’s not Robodebt and hasn’t quite driven people to suicide. But they are giving that a red hot go. I feel like smashing things after continually being locked out for two hours. Maybe they’re trying to simulate calling Centrelink.
Has never worked. Every time I log on to the app it is endlessly working to bring up my details. When I click on wallet, inbox or services an error pops up telling me I am not connected to the internet despite always being connected. End up logging into the website which defeats the purpose of having the app in the first place. For all the money I pay in taxes surely some can be put to improving this. Useless!
Good app. Do now why this app gets poor ratings. I’m guessing that most happy users are not bothering to leave a review. Downloaded the app, was able to log in quickly, and everything is there and ready to go. Nice to have Face ID for quick login each time. The user interface seems a bit clunky and not as slick as it could be. Perhaps the team will work to improve this.
MyGov = my rage. I end up screaming at this app almost every time I use it. Illogical interface, not user friendly at all. Even logging in can be a chore. Just to link to the ATO took four attempts with the same information before it finally recognised it. Obviously designed by bureaucrats who have all day to file a one page document. The salt in the wound is this piece of trash probably cost billions of taxpayer money to develop. How this abomination got 2.5 stars is perplexing.
No one ever thought about the login process. Did anyone ever think about the login process? If you choose myGovID, you have this janky 4 digit key half off the side of the screen you have to remember, then all these agreements to skip and setup a six digit pin and do you want Face/TouchID and how about onboarding and my goodness. How anyone without a degree in bureaucracy can get in to the app, I don’t know.
Very useful. I’ve used the app for 5 years. It has been continually improving and updating. The ability to link your different Govt services makes it really easy to use as everything is in one place. The latest update gives passkey security which I think is excellent.
It’s the 21st century guys. It’s 2024. The Internet has been around for 30 years. We are 24 years in to the 21st Century. How hard is it to get these apps right. And have some sort of speed other than glacial and have an interface that works and doesn’t come up with an error message. This is no doubt what happens when you farm out development to 3rd world people on the base of cost. Everything seems to be going backwards.
A nightmare to use!. Virtually impossible to use. Changes every time I try to use it. I feel anxious at the thought because it has NEVER worked smoothly!! I’m educated and tech savvy so can’t imagine how people who aren’t so confident with tech go. It asked me to make a PIN yesterday and now when I log in I can’t access my linked ATO account due to identity not strong enough. Keeps giving me an error message to log out and back in again with stronger identity but seems to be no way to do this or set identity default. Just comes up with the PIN prompt every time. Why ask me to make a PIN if it’s not going to let me access my linked services once I’m in the app? So confusing!!
Cannot access any features. I’ve used this app for several years. Since the revamp, I can log in but each section tells me I am not connected to the internet and will not display any of my information, regardless of being connected to the internet. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling - no change. I’ve tried turning my phone off and on after reinstalling - no change. So it’s pretty darn useless.
NOT TESTED PROPERLY!!!!. The app can’t handle apostrophes. I have an apostrophe in my surname and in the suburb I live in. The app (and the website) can’t handle either. When I tried provide my details to link Medicare to GovID I’ve got an error message with a direction to call the Medicare call centre. You clearly didn’t test it properly. I’m currently on hold with the Medicare service centre (twenty minutes and counting!) waiting to get some help. This all happened because I was permanently locked out of the Medicare app because I hadn’t logged in for more than 6 months. This has meant I’ve had to create a new MyGov ID and relink my services. Who on earth thought that was a good idea? Isn’t the aim to reduce the amount of time Australians deal with government? This sounds one of those “security before functionality” ideas. All I wanted to do was access my COVID vaccine certificate via the Medicare app!!!
App is inconvenient & impossible to give feedback. 1. In the feedback area you can only choose from generic options. Preventing all constructive criticism from being sent. (Seriously who did this? They obviously don't like user feedback and deserve a slow clap). 2. Why can't I copy my Medicare card number?! It would be very useful for filling out online forms. 3. And why do I have to tap the card to reveal the card number? Are you worried someone will steal it? Is this an actual problem or have you created an unnecessary solution for a problem that doesn't exist and therefore added an extra inconvenient step for every Australian? 4. Why can't I import these cards into my wallet app on my phone? Oh, you created your own wallet app! Oh that's clever and useful (no it's not). Why don't we let every bank and company create their own wallet app and we can have many wallet apps? Because the whole point of the wallet app is to have a CENTRAL place for cards to belong so you aren't hunting around for the various apps all the time. Keep the existing wallet in the app but allow the individual items to be imported into the Apple Wallet app - please!
this is so stupid,. I have tried endlessly to log in and I can’t, I forgot my password and my notes that I keep my password are locked and guess what once u forgot ur pas to the lock key on notes u can never unlock it ever. Which means I’m doomed and this dumb system of secret questions is baffling. I am 17 and I just started driving and one of the question asked me what was the first car I have learnt to drive in. I was shocked cuz no way I have made this a question when I didn’t learn how to drive recently. I’m so DONE.
App says my login credentials aren’t high strength. Abysmal service that is so secure not even the actual user can access services. Online help a nightmare to navigate and telephone support are clearly just following the same FAQ script that I can see online when it’s an issue that needs to be addressed by a system admin. Still happy to send threatening letters about issues I can’t even see online though, thanks ATO!
Pretty good!. I’m shocked that this is a government app because it’s pretty good. Was expecting it to be terrible. It’s made it really easy to look at notices from the ATO and Medicare. Was easy to view my notice of assessment and even make payments through the app. Still shocked that this is so good!
Functional and then not. At the promoting of the app, I added my MyGoVID to the account. What a giant mistake - I can now no longer access the ATO through the app because a normal login isn’t sufficient strong. The app is now entirely useless as it can’t streamline my login. Why wasn’t there a warning that this would happen? I would never have connected it if I had. Bad UI and a bad experience.
Hassle free. Just downloaded despite the negative reviews and found I had no issues setting up and accessing what I needed. Absolutely painless process. Logged in with MyGov ID and everything I needed was right there like the website. Added my cards to wallet in seconds with ease. I will continue using the app without any hesitation or complaint that I can see

Contact details BUG. You have a bug in the contact details where you attest save your international phone number and it changes the number. For example change to Canada +1 number, save and review.. the +1 goes to a +78 etc..
