Not good, switch to battle cats!. If you truly want a good sequel to cartoon wars 1 & 2 then I suggest the battle cats game instead of this disappointing disgrace of an app. Battle cats is very similar to the play style and progression of the first two cartoon wars and has a crap ton of levels and content to keep you interested. It is way more straightforward and has the same simple 2D style bases at either end of a field sending units out against the other with varying units as you progress. It has the same simple normal tower upgrades and units getting new forms at level 10 and things like that. Very similar game except that the cartoon units are cats styled instead of human stick type units. There is a gatcha system but you don’t need it to progress quickly and normally. You can still beat very difficult stages with just the units you get from progressing in the game. Obviously battle cats isn’t EXACTLY the same but it’s way more similar to cartoon wars 1 and 2 than this pile of trash is.

Good, but not great. I thoroughly enjoyed the first game, and the 2nd one was a masterpiece. However, seeing that this game went down In quality, both animation and paywalls, it made me feel like they peaked at the 2nd game. I’m not complaining that it’s a gacha game, but I feel like it’s not true to what the series was in its past… I just hope they update the first 2 games for the latest iOS or someone bundles various nostalgic app games into one app, much like the mini Nintendo consoles.

Don’t make me pay. I’ve played these games for a while and with the “new” cartoon wars out for a year or two now, but it has had vary vary noticeable issues but it is worth a try and it is a unique and a dit different from the first two. The first thing that I noticed is that at the start of the game it has a easy pace to where you can get to level two or three but it really stops there if you don’t have a hive account or you don’t want to spend money it become really difficult to keep grinding to get a random card that is not unique, and it is disappointing to see the verities of cards that are so hard to get and that you may not get for as long as you don’t spend money on them. The game has such a cool and unique design but it just gets so tiresome to go out of your way and get the daly reward for nothing to change the game in a dramatic way at all and to get that big reward only for it to be the some old generic card that you can get so easy. If you want me to keep playing just make it a bit easier for people who don’t want to spend their money on or to sign up for a website. It’s good to have verity but keep that good old feeling that made me exited to play to see what I might get.

The size of the game. Hey I just downloaded ctw 3 and the size of the screen is towards the left and I believe that it was to do with the iPhone because I downloaded onto my 8 and it worked the screen was full on my phone but one my recent my 11 it’s all the way to the left so can you fix that make the screen fit the 11 iPhone

My opinion please read game creator. I love this game but the the one thing that drives me crazy and doesn’t make sense is that it’s hard to evolve units green crystals are hard to get unless you spend money that’s silly there are way better games that don’t require you to pay. On top of that when you enhance your unit depending on what unit you use will determine the percentage of it actually enhancing your unit!! I have had 80% chance of enhancement and still failed idk who’s idea that was but please take that away, this game is suppose to be a game not a gamble that’s not fun and I’m sure you’d have people keeping the game longer if you fixed these issues! Oh one more thing the combination of units needs to stop it’s random and silly your practically trading a good unit for a bad one every time. Love this game but it could be 3000 times better. If you don’t fix these issues someone will create the same game and topple over you. And I wouldn’t want that because I love this game I’ve been playing this type for a very long time. And this is definitely one of my favorites

Bring back the old Cartoon Wars. I’m not going to say this is the worst app on the App Store, but I will say that this is the worst of the Cartoon Wars series. Cartoon Wars 2 can easily be revered as one of the greatest mobile games of all time, however, this game just takes all the worst elements of other mobile games and added it to a series that doesn’t even fit the play style. There’s no need for in-app purchases, there’s no reason to have to log into an account to play this game, and frankly there’s no reason it should be a money grabbing version of the series. If you’re going to keep making games like this that’s fine by me, but the least you guys can do is offer support for Cartoon Wars 1 and 2 on the newer iOS, otherwise it just seems like you guys really couldn’t care less about the people who are supporting your games. I pray for the best for this company and I hope you guys find it in your hearts to listen to what we all have to say.

BRING BACK CARTOON WARS 2. I’ve played the original cartoon wars games, and then all of a sudden they went out of date so I tried this game. It’s not bad but it introduces a whole aspect of the game which turns it into many other games out there. Cartoon wars 1&2 were amazing, and the only games of their kind. I’m asking you to please somehow get into contact with BlueGnc and take hold of the cartoon war games and update them, making them compatible with the current IOS’. I hope you see this message and bring joy to the millions of people that miss the originals, Thank You 👍🏻

Developers please read!!!. Nobody wants this game, we all want the old games to be back. It can’t be very hard to update this game to support iOS 11. You probably guys probably thought that anyone would just eat this game up if they wanted to play cartoons heroes again. Well your wrong none of us want to play this terrible game with the bad new iPhone support and cash grabs every 2 seconds. If you want peoples money bring back the old games for a price. I wish that you guys at least tried to bring a quality title instead of dong it obviously for money. I’ve tried playing this game on my iPhone 11 and could not as the game was in a small box in the corner of the screen. No one wants to pay money for a game that wasn’t even tried on. Please bring back the old games, i think I speak for everyone that we would rather pay a small fee to own the game then none to play a terrible game with terrible cash grabs. Thank you.

Suggestions to save the next of one of the best games in iOS. Many people are saying that this game is trash... and it is, compared to one and two which were one of my fav games ever. What made the first two so special was the timeline and the great progress you recieved each day. There was more story and better castle designs. I do like that in this new game, there are no limits but it is also nearly impossible to get to where you want. You spend hours and hours farming, and wasting your money shouldnt be a solution to that. Its nice how you can add friends but real matchmaking is required to make this game more fun. Please I hope this game is saved and adds up to what the first two incredibly fun games used to be. A game this great doesnt deserve to be ruined. And I know I wrote this review way too late but its really starting to hit me.

Bring back the old ones please. I played every single cartoon wars released, the first one which was amazing, “gunner” which was my most played, “blade” which was hard, a great challenge compared to the others. And finally the combination of all 3 of those previously mentioned out into a perfect game, “cartoon wars 2”. I remember I had almost everything maxed out when apple updated their software and CW stopped updates and was no longer supported. A while later I saw CW3 and immediately downloaded. I had no fun, the game seemed soulless and very P2W. I deleted it and to this day 3 or 4 years later still wish I had a way to play the original games... devs, please find a way to bring back what was good and fun to the current OS of phones, bc as your supporters have mentioned in all these reviews, this game is a piece of garbage.

Small screen. I don’t usually make reviews but cartoon wars was a childhood game of mine. One and two were amazing in their simplicity. I’ve looked for them, but it seems nothing works. I tried this one out and I got stuck with a small screen of the game in the corner. I couldn’t move further or do anything in the game. It also wouldn’t let me just play the game, required me to sign in. Still the same problem after deleting and redownloading it. I wish they’d bring back the old games. I’d love to play those again.

iPhone XR. There is an issue with this game on my iPhone XR , I have downloaded it on my iPhone XR and it shows up so small on the left hand side of my screen and I wanted to see if the developers can fix that, I also have an Samsung galaxy s7 edge and I downloaded it on that and there’s no problems, can you please help me out with the full screening of this game for my iPhone XR it would mean a lot to me

Great Game but long term could become expensive. It’s a great game, and obviously some people play it to burn some time. There’s a point where research takes too much time and the majority of the good cards cost too much money, and later to find out you need spend more money on top of it to upgrade the card. But out of that it’s a great game and don’t mind spending my time on it

Best Game On App Store. This game has so much content and is very strategic based. It also has a simple feel like most games on the App Store doesn’t have. The game is so simple I’m getting my 8 year old cousin to start playing it too. The ranking is also fun because you get to try your new and upgraded units on other people. This game is addictive, fun, and strategic and those are the only things I want in a game.

Trash game. I was a big fan of CW1 and CW2. At the moment I saw CW3 is out, I was more than happy to download and play. Shortly after, I deleted the game immediately. It's nowhere like the previous series. Way too complicated and make this game like a mixture of Clash of Clan and Summoner's War with stick figures. Basically the classical playstyle of is game is ruined completely. If you used to play or a fan of CW1 and CW2, don't make the same mistake like me. If you've never played the previous series, you may (I hope you don't) like it, but nah, Summoner's War is way wayyy better than this game. Absolutely a no-no to play this game again. If you do make a game like this, please at least put it under another name. Just like Cartoon War and Cartoon Defense series.

What a fall from grace. It’s really sad to see this part of my childhood get smeared by this pathetic entry. I grew up playing the original CW, CW2 and even the Gunner game, all of those had a feeling of actually fun with real accomplishments which this game has none of. You can’t escape the advertisements and the gameplay is just plain boring and falls flat compared to the previous games. All of the entries up to this had aspects that weren’t locked behind any paywalls or purchasable currency that will get you nowhere. I played CW2 all the way until the end and it was an enjoyable experience throughout and had addictive gameplay that I’d play for hours on end. This game is just sad. Don’t download it.

Only r8 5 stars so people would see this. Cartoon wars 1 and 2 were my childhood, it was amazing to lay down in front of the fire with my cousin and kill some bad guys in the amazing games that are cartoon 1 and 2. They were the best games we could have asked for, and we loved them dearly. And then, then they go ahead and replace these two masterpieces with this steaming pile of garbage. Why would they ever do this?

Won’t even work right on my iPhone XR. I just downloaded this for the nostalgia trip I figured it would be cause the previous two games were so great. I had high hopes until I tried to open the game and it just doesn’t work. The picture only comes up in the top left corner of the screen and it has a bunch of black bars going through the little bit that I can even see. I was initially very angry until I checked the reviews and I saw basically nothing but people saying how the company ruined the franchise by making this one a freemium game. Now, it’s unfortunate, but I’m honestly glad the game didn’t work cause I’m just gonna delete it and forget that I ever saw it hopefully. Also I’m trying not to get my hopes up that for once a company could just make a sequel without trying to squeeze it for every possible dollar they can make and actually make a good working game. Because we all know that’s never gonna happen in the games industry anymore. It’s sad.

What a soulless disgrace... R.I.P Cartoon Wars. I was a huge fan of Cartoon Wars 1 and 2, both timeless iOS classics. This however is a huge spit in the face, and a massive disappointment to all who were exited to see the follow up to this memorable game. It saddens me to see how they’ve tailored almost every bit of this game to try and get money out of you, but that’s unfortunately the case for all games on iOS nowadays. CW1 and CW2 were both only 2 dollars and there was nothing else to be purchased afterwards. This could’ve been a great successor had the leveling system been just been like both previous games. The gameplay starts rapidly to excite you, but then slows to a crawl as you progress. You then are forced to either grind the game excruciatingly slow for in game currency, or just spend real money on in game currency which would only get you so far. Greed has heavily corrupted either the studio, or the publisher. This is just tragic to say the least, Rest In Peace Cartoon Wars, you’ll have a special place in my childhood memories.

Make CW 2 compatible again!!!!. I loved the first and especially the second cartoon wars games, but this third one is ehh. It gets really hard really fast and seems like it’s pay to win. I loved the old ones because you could actually advance in the game if you were skilled, not just if u had money to spend. I can’t buy CW 2 because it isn’t compatible with iOS 10 and 11. YOU NEED TO MAKE IT COMPATIBLE!!! That game was great and I am having the urge to play it again and I’m sure many other people will too!

Great successor to the previous games BUT….. I really enjoyed this game. Honestly I would keep playing it if it worked right after upgrading my iPhone 6 to the 11. The screen is half cut off and flipping the screen doesn’t help. I can still login and everything but can’t really play the game. Other than that it was a great game. Same old tower defense like the older cartoon wars. Can level up your defenses for more Heath,mana attack etc. Getting new toons/ fusing them to get stronger ones is what had hooked me because you didn’t actually have to spend money to get new toons you’d eventually get some really good ones with daily logins or the daily roulette. In quick summary it’s a great game if you like tower defense but they need to fix the screen fit issue.

I don’t understand all the anger. Personally, I have found nothing wrong with this game and have been playing it for a while now. All of it is just really fun and the devs didn’t stray too far from the original feel of “Cartoon Wars”. Also what I was really happy about was the inclusion of the gunner+ thing, where you control a troop through a tsunami of enemies. I read so many upset and displeased reviews that I almost didn’t get this game, but that’s where I was wrong. Try the game and if you enjoy it then get and if it’s not your style, just delete it. Many issues.. Well, where do I start here? The game itself is heading downhill. Also, this new “Gunner Mode” is becoming unfair due to the amount of money it would require to get to higher stages. Using certain types of enhancement and upgrade materials that are SPECIFICALLY for gunner units that cost in-game currency, crystals that can cost money, is just plain absurd. Gunner mode is mostly unfair. This game is based on strategy, not money. We should have more fair starting units for gunner mode and for people who just joined, something better to start off with. So please, do something about this.

Gunner mode. Love this game out of all of them but one frustrating issue is the leveling system for characters in gunner mode. I would really appreciate it if there was an update that allowed for the main character and both sub slot characters to level up while playing. It’s frustrating that the only character that can level up in gunner mode is the main slot that is only controlled by a person while the sub slots are only for assistance. But there are plenty of ways to level up a regular character outside of gunner mode.

Better than I expected.. Th game has reintroduced some old units from the cartoon wars series and added new ones. The gunner mode is good!1!!11 Brings back the cartoon wars gunner nostalgia. If you hadn't make a hive account you aren't gonna be progressing faster than some players, highly recommend doing so. Oh yeah, if you think I didn't beat CW2 because I want "op units I already did and had just recently gone through first revolution. It actually isn't ruined as most people think, they just can't wonder what is it like to play other units.

Not the Cartoon Wars I Remember. It’s just not the way I remember it. The first Cartoon Wars was simple, buy and upgrade your soldiers/buildings with the currency you get from the battles you fight in. Sure you could buy currency but at least that aspect was purely optional. And as well as fighting these battles, this was all straight forward, and without the over-used map thing, win a fight, jump right into the next. This sequel does not have these qualities. In this game, you don’t get to just buy the character you want, you have to depend completely on luck. And even if you do get what you want, there is a thing called “rarity”, how rare an object/character is, which leads to low level caps, which leads to MORE luck based unlocks. All of this can be boiled to the pay-to-win game type, and I hate this style, pretty much saying that paying real money is integral to progression in this game. The level transition is also crap, as it doesn’t just plop you in front of the option to start the next round right away, instead you have to go to the map, look for the next stage, and THEN you can begin the next fight. Long story short, bring back the other Cartoon Wars games, they were so much more fun than this piece of sh*t.

Doesn’t deserve the hate. I’ve been playing this game for years…almost ever since it came out. Growing up this game was most definitely one of my favorites. I was constantly playing it. People complained about poor performance or the fact that gunner wasn’t the best it could be. The game is phenomenal. From the hundreds of cartoon minions to discover to the game modes and events this game is so much fun. I truly believe it is the best cartoon wars. Besides the gunner games which I didn’t really care for. Overall the game is amazing…and for it being 3-5 years old, I’m glad I can still log on each day and relive the memories I once had with this great game. Way to go GameVil. 👍

Why. Before i was excited that there was gonna be a third installment because i loved cartoon wars 2 and 3 but when i download it everything is different its very very complicated i liked cartoon wars 2 better because its different from other games you can control main character and send your army in battle but cartoon wars 3 is like you have a good game and you put a totally different genre of game and you put it in cartoon wars ok enough rant all I want you guys to do is bring back cartoon wars 2 but for free this time because clearly only a few people bought it.

WHY???. I have been a fan of the cartoon wars for many years, but this, this is just dumb. First you make it extremely hard to progress in CW3, one of the reasons it’s so hard to progress is the stupid town hall, the town hall just makes it a whole lot harder to progress because it takes SOOO MUCH GOLD, and that’s how you get better runes. Two, where’s the story line? All there is is an adventure, like seriously nothing to keep you going at the game, just, it’s there. Three, WHY THE HECK DID YOU GET RID OF CW2 AND CW1, WHY CAN’T WE PLAY THE OLD GAMES???? THEY WERE SO MUCH EASIER TO PROGRESS AND SO MUCH MORE FUN AND ADDICTING, ALSO, THE OLD GAMES HAD ACTUAL THINGS TO KEEP YOU PLAYING, LIKE THE QUESTLINE.... BRING BACK THE OLD CARTOON WARS!!

Came because of 2, left because of 3. I used to play CW2 a while back and recently remembered that this was even a thing, so I was looking to play this again and installed it. It feels as if all the creativity and soul of the original games were sucked out of this installment in pursuit of a cash grab. They took all the same aspects of other cash grab games and regurgitated it into CW3. Things like: research that takes hours, grinding for hours to receive a unit that feels sub par, a redeem system for anything that you receive from quests or rewards. Clan systems. Combining troops. Troops that can only be used to combine. The combat feels clunky. The game feels poorly optimized and there are Loads more that I don’t even want to list anymore. This game feels like it was supposed to be a spin-off of CW2 called “Cartoon Wars: Clans” or something. And I would have been perfectly fine with it as long as they made a great CW3, but they butchered it. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because of CW2. Other than that, a game birthed by greed.

longtime fan of cartoon wars but.... I've been a longtime fan of cartoon wars but personally I think, you've done to cartoon wars what Microsoft did to halo. You ruined it. When it comes to games like these you don't use the same name but make a completely new game, what people want out of a series or game like this is the same game structure, new troops based off of the two teams not slimes, killer bunnies, zombies, abilities and heroes more levels or the same amount as the last. Maybe a new enemy or stick with the fight against the one eyed stick men like the last two games. And potentially throw in a few daily mini games to collect gems. If you do take my advice and try to fix your mistake, just remember try to not stray too far from the path stick with the game that people liked.

Make green crystals more available. The packages are cool and all but i feel like it needs to give you more items/currency. Also, the cartoon store is a rip off and i feel like that should be balanced as well. The game overall is fun, I just feel like it needs to be more balanced with its purchases and store.

Lost Progress, Hard to progress etc.... Just like all the other reviews...I believe that this game needs a lot of change in order to make this game more customer and player friendly. Too much advertisements on packages you don’t need until later on in the game. Advertisements for new players should be giving players idea’s on how to progress further in the game and should show goals in progress. Also was already up to chapter 4 with 3 Level 20 Gunners and a lot of good units I worked hard for in guest mode...ALL PLAYERS SHOULD SIGN UP SO YOU DON’T LOSE YOUR PROGRESS LIKE I DID...it’s such a shame that this game can’t save my progress as guest. CW3 can be a good game without spending but still a lot of change needs to be done. Thanks for looking everyone.

My God.... Prepare your wallet if you want to trek down the path of sorrow that is Cartoon Wars 3. Worst still is that with release of this Cartoon Wars 2 has been taken down. Why is it bad? Zero support from the game. The campaign gives enough gold to progress, but your opponent(AI) is so stupidly overpowered you can’t advance past world 8/9 and then you come to a grinding hault. None of the other game modes give you enough gold and your stuck until you throw some money at HIVE. Then, maybe you clear one world then you’re stuck again and the cycle Repeats. If that was all I’d have given this game 3-4 stars, as many “free,” games are like this, but the game also is extremely buggy and runs like garbage, like Ark survival evolved garbage. The game’s pause button is bugged and way to sensitive and seemingly randomly turns on. It’s impossible to get into an entire set of missions (some sort of treasure raid type quest, idk, I’ve never been able to get in). The loading screens are extraordinarily long and you can’t collect multiple unit cards from your rewards at once making you select and collect each one one at a time. Finally you unit inventory is very small making it impossible to make specific squads for the different quests. This game has a lot of potential it just needs some serious balancing and patches in order to make it enjoyable

Half Screen. Im not sure if the devs know this or if they dont care about this game, but when loading the game it tends to load on only half of my screen. I have a XR and it says that this game is compatible, but when i go to play not only does it not work on wifi (i had to switch to data to download anything) but the game is loaded onto half of my screen so i cant complete the tutorial let alone the game. You guys really need to fix this, or just update the old cartoon wars either one is fine. I had so much fun with the past cartoon wars games but now i cant even play them anymore.

Loved this game, but can’t play anymore.... I played this game when it first came out, and I’m very happy with how it has turned out over time. Yes, it is very grindy to get really good Tripp’s but over time you learn to manage your troops well enough to be able to upgrade or evolve fairly often. The amount of characters in this game is amazing, and gunner mode has made this game very fun again. I just tried redownloading this game, but my entire screen seems to be pushed off and up to the left and no matter what effort I go to to try and fix it, this hasn’t seemed to go away. If that could be fixed I would love to play this game again.

READ BEFORE BUYING. When the first version of CW3 came out it was fine. You had to work to move up. The more you worked the better the battles were. The Gunner Units took that away. With 2 gunner units you get from playing for a minute you can beat a successful team that has been playing for months. Gunner Units are overpowered and make the game a little bit worse. To any who haven’t played the original CW3 before gunner units, I sincerely hope that you still get a decent experience.

This Game is Unplayable. I downloaded this game to play on my flight home because I remembered how much I enjoyed the original cartoon wars. I was very disappointed to find that this app does not work in the slightest. The majority of the screen is cut off resulting in an atrocious quarter screen gameplay. While I might let the screen bug slide, the game itself refuses to proceed farther than the title screen and nothing I do can prompt it to work. I am very disappointed and hope that whatever is wrong with this will be fixed. If you fix this I will be very happy to play, but from what I’ve seen from other reviews, this is unlikely to happen any time soon. Please do not waste your time trying to play this game until they fix it. I loo forward to playing in the future.

Just how can you progress even further past halfway. The game seemed appealing but it puts most of its focus on roulettes and luck that it ends up being really hard to actually progress past the 4th star. I ended up having a really good load out until I randomly got a unit I didn’t want out of nowhere. So all of my really hard work really went no where. also back to the ruelletes,I saved up an entire week of 6 hour playing straight on a 150 gem roullete and all that money was wasted so bad,I could’ve done two normal premium ones. Other wise the gameplay is great letting you be more specific with your units. But like other commenters this game is one of the worst category’s of mobile game,the only people with 6-7 stars are proably hackers,cheaters,people who pay money and people who have been playing 24/7 for years

Game is meh. I played original cartoon wars and loved it. Now you can’t play CW or CW2 anymore, and are forced into CW3. It’s alright overall, but as other review point out, more complicated than it needs to be, and is designed in a way where it can be a money pit. I am also taking away a star for the simple fact that I can’t listen to my own music while playing this game. Used to be able to do this in the older cartoon wars, but for some reason you can’t on this one, even after muting all audio from the game. I would add a star again simply for the fact that I can at least listen to my own music while playing. Would at least make the game a bit more enjoyable.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. The first two were absolutely fun and great, so when I saw this I was excited. However, when I got into this, I was extremely confused (and still pretty much am). Many of the mechanics were new but not in a good way. It is convoluted and messy. When I first started playing the adventure mode, it was extremely easy, with the hero mode being the exact opposite. It has very bad pacing to put it simply, unlike the previous two. Not only that but the loot boxes made it unfun and with very little incentive to get new characters. It was is extremely difficult to get newer powerful characters, however like I said, it is really easy and you won’t need them until later. I became bored of it quickly and found myself deleting it because I never played it. It is nothing like the old games. I only rated it 5 stars was so that other people would be warned, just like another person I saw. Do not play this game, it isn’t worth it.

Not quite a 5 Star game. Pros: very fun and entertaining. Lots of strategy and different ways to play, and you can play without paying - it’s just a huge grind. Cons: quite a few actually. I’ve never once done the treasure cave thing because it’s ALWAYS full. Some enemies can be so randomly difficult that it is forcing you to buy there packs. Also, as you progress it becomes increasingly difficult to continue through the stages due to the obscene amount of gold required to purchase upgrades. This game has fallen into the trap of most games now, where it’s pay to play.

Spearman unit. I know this is kinda dumb but Ive kept coming back to this game for one reason: its because I love the spearman unit. I want to know if there is any way to make him more useful (that is, esentially more expensive and so better) without evolution because I cant seem to get any more spearmen units… Im also reluctant to spend my green crystals on upgrading his stats because I know when I combine him hes going to lose those stats. Please tell me if Im missing something!

Bugs. I only came to review this because I was playing the 4vs4 mode and I won but it said that I lost. So I lost my +20 win streak and I had a 7 star character vs four 5 star characters so I would have totally won. I like the aspects of the game but it looks and feels clunky. I have enjoyed the game but it just feels like you put all these aspects in the game and never looked at it again. Also this has happened 3 times now and I am getting frustrated with the poor game design and pay to win aspects. Also again, there is a 4vs4 bug when you keep pushing ready and you get down to 2 plays left the game just freezes so you have to exit out and go back in. I think the first 4vs4 bug I when your last character doesn’t attack so it just ends. And I have 100 keys and no chest so can you make chest more common .

Bring back CW2. I played CW2 years ago and loved it. It was simple, fun, it flowed easily. Not a huge amount of things to do in cw2 after a while but the simplicity and the troops made it fun. CW3 is super confusing, there are so many things to do its hard to keep track of what to even do. Not to mention the pay to play aspect. I loved cw2 because it was sooo simple to understand and to upgrade troops etc. The User interface in 2 was amazing, 3 has WAYYY too much going on. Please update cw2 and change NOTHING.

Screen bug. The game is at the corner of my screen, it’s not my phone’s problem, I’ve restarted my iPhone, all other apps work fine, I’ve redownloaded the app. I don’t know what the issue is, I tried searching it up, and no one seems to have the same problem as me? I used to play this game daily, and I want to again, it was really fun and enjoyable, I still have all my data saved, but it doesn’t let me play it correctly or do anything cause it’s all mushed up together in the corner of my screen.

THIS GAME IS PLAYABLE FOR IPHONE 14. I just got the new iPhone 14 Pro Max recently, I had a iPhone 11 but it wouldn’t work due to the game not showing up on the screen fully, I decided to try it again and whenever I first opened it up… oh my god I was surprised, I literally screamed and shouted with excitement! I’ve been playing this game ever since 8th grade with the iPhone 4S. It feels great to relive it once more. I’m so happy I’m finally able to play this again!!! Pretty ok. The game is good, ive been playing for over a year now and i wish the developers would update the app and add more features, but i will admit the game is very slow, lots of time needs to be spent acquiring units or gold, and many items in the shop are close to impossible to afford, over the course of a year and a half, ive gotten about 20 green crystals, maybe im just trash at the game, but getting them is very hard making upgrades impossible without paying. I havent personally spent any money on this game, but i find the creativity outstanding, but it would be nice if more cards were added and it was slightly easier to get stuff without waiting so long or paying, but other than this, i do like the game a lot

Great game but really hard to get gems. The game is amazing but getting the cards you want is so low because all I want is the cartoon giant and the chance for that is 0.18 percent and that’s insanely low and I wish there was another way to get him without waisting money but besides that great game and please make it so that everyone gets a free cartoon giant please......

Overerly Complicated Card System. A little disjointed, unspecific and at times totally confusing upgrade system. The original, tho simple, was almost a perfect time-waster. This, on the other hand makes it a chore to understand and enjoy the game for what it is.

A dead brand of it former self. Can’t believe that this series has be dead for over 5 years since they decided to become greedy and that sad since early mobile games have cute, wonderful and unique gameplay’s that I play, every games i really respect since early 2010s now it mostly have a change to fun unique gameplay to and p2w gameplay’s. Loved them all!. Since cartoonwars 1 I clocked that game many times it was so fun when I was a kid. Number 2 was fun too and number 3 does feel a bit new with all the added things but it is still fun even though I’m 5+ years older now :)

Losing double points for losing??????. It's a good game, but if your active it doesn't mean anything. If you lose, you lose twice as many point as winning. So there is no point trying, since inactive players still smash you. Also don't remove friends as deleting people doesn't reset and allow you to invite more people

Bring 2 back. Cartoon wars 2 was a great game, this is just lazy and cheap. I’d play 2 all day if they brought it back instead of this money grab.

Disappointing. Cartoon wars 1 & 2 we're amazing games, my favourite mobile games ever. This one is just another stupid, pay 2 win grind game. random unit packs give you the lowest unit 99% of the time, spent $100k and got one 3 star and three 2 stars. Then you have to enhance your good monsters with those terrible units. Love the range of monsters, utterly wasted on boring gameplay.

BEST. GAME. EVER!!!!!. I got the first game about 5 years back and I decided to download it again after 4 years. I got to stage 150, then my life was engulfed by the SECOND game. I'm up to the 5th act and I've almost fully upgraded the base and I've got every guy/stick figure in the flight section, and then I find out you guys just made a 3rd game. ...YEAH!!!!!! Terrible game. Cartoon Wars 1 and 2 were a brilliant game easy play and upgrade system, Cartoon Wars 3 on the other hand is rubbish card system is all luck, low chance for good cards, you have to waste money on a chance to get nothing, and even gold gets hard get. Finding even a decent card was too hard. Game was just made for ads and money every two seconds i see buy this pack buy that. A good game truly ruined by greedy creators, make a good game and go back to the old style, definitely not worth playing.

Amazing game. This game allows for fun filled action around every aspect of the game, even though premium units are a let down when 2-5 from a premium unit turns out to always be a 2 star unit, but the new features in the game I.E. Upgrade units to giant units, it is a good feature but the price is way to high for what it's asking for, what you can improve in the game is the amount of gold you get from a battle, remove the swords because they are useless and try and swap buying items with crystals for buying them with gold

Awesome game. Love this game runs as smooth as silk hasn't crashed on me once. The game is extremely addictive with hundreds of unique units and upgrades if you have lots of spare time this is the game for you good work developers 👌🏻👍🏼

Too easy. At first, i was excited to see yet another cartoon wars. Cartoon wars 2 had me playing for hours on end. I got into this game, and found out all it was is a money grab. You have to recharge your battles? Thats stupid. It should just be a pick up and play game. Also, i found myself repeatedly spamming the spear soldier and winning every time. Clearly you guys haven't balanced the game properly. Please make another one like cartoon wars 2! :)

Sad to see cartoon wars like this. "80 million have played this..." yea, because the last two games were great. This one? This one is a cheap money grab with no free to play incentive. 75 gems to premium summon, and you might even get a really bad draw and all the gems are gone. 75 gems. You get like max 2-3 daily through casual grinding maybe a few more if you're lucky. Tried playing for a few weeks but gameplay was repetitive with no real sense of achievement through grinding. All on top of that, it's not even a good game in general, so the painful grinding isn't worth at all. Just avoid it, you'll be disappointed.

Solid Game.. The cartoon wars series is/has been a childhood game and when i saw that there was a third one, i was so excited. Once i got into the game i found that it was quite entertaining but also addictive. My only issue/s with the game is that its very difficult to earn "good" characters to then progress through the story. One other thing is that I'm not to sure as too where i can redeem my rewards from the weekly events. Overall its a good game, but expect to put a solid amount of time in, to be able to properly enjoy the game.

Meh. I was an oh fan of Cartoon wars I was back playing the original and cartoon wars 2 when I was little they were great games. I have just downloaded this game as to see if I could get some much loved and needed nostalgia out of it but it has left me with a foul taste as I enter into a limited game and confusing system. If you could go back to Cartoon Wars 2 and update it to work on the current OS updates that would be great. Those games always where worth 5 stars.

Enjoyable. This game is really good but it would be better is you could give everybody a good troop when they play the game. Example this guy played The game for 100 days and he is suffering because he has bad troops . It would make him play longer if you give him a gift so he can expand.

Another amazing series with a garbage sequel. The previous cartoon wars games were amazing. Little to no iap required to enjoy the game thoroughly. Now you’ve decided to turn it into a garbage ‘gacha’ at an attempt to make a lot of money. I hope you’ve made barely anything and let that be a lesson. In Game Speed Change. I love the game heaps but if I were to offer one criticism, the ability to speed up gameplay in Adventure mode like it is in Raid mode. It would make the pace of the game speed up and also make it easier for players that get bored of the long waits trying to get a higher level unit out.

Need to fix. It’s glitchy with iPhone XR it’s not filling the whole screen, just top left hand corner. Would love it to be fixed cause I loved the first 2 games! I’ll give 2 star till fixed then straight 5 for sure 😂

Amazing game but. This game is hands down the most addictive game on the App Store. It's extremely easy to understand everything in the game but why is it that when I go into raid or team battle I have to go up against a full team of 5 stars that absolutely dominate us. What is this?. There is almost no way to tell if you are doing something right. The tutorial hardly shows you anything, and even if you looked at the wiki, they'd probably be confused. Cartoon Wars 2 is better simply because it is understandable. Pay to win? Okay, that is pretty common. A troop menu impossible to understand for new players? Pretty annoying. Rock paper scissors? WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?

Came to relive my childhood, left disappointed. I was amongst the group of players who played the first cartoon wars game and I loved it. Since then, I’ve been focused on other things and recently decided that I wanted to, as said above, relive my childhood. I was extremely disappointed to see what GAMEVIL had made of this series. Excluding all the micro transaction and gacha, they changed so much of the original games, that the only thing I recognized was the art. And even then, I had difficulty. By releasing this new game, GAMEVIL practically flushed the series down the toilet.

This app is completely broken for me. its really messed up when i open it, this is probably the last cartoon wars game that’s ever gonna officially be on the appstore..RIP

Fix your connection.. I don’t usually do reviews under 4 stars, but this is so annoying for me that you gotta fix this. FIX YOUR CONNECTION PROBLEM, GAMEVIL. I know everybody else had problems about connecting to the server, and what do you do? Release updates EVERY MONTH. Some of them are major, mostly just bug fixes. You need to up your game Gamevil and find if there is a major problem with the game and fix it nearly every week. Not every 5-2 months, because your game won’t develop if you don’t even have a good community who gives good ratings. I hope you read my review and so do other people’s reviews.

Some reason a draw on Raid mission results in a loss of points (should be no gain, no loss so 0). Takes months to get to higher end units. Spin the wheel is rigged. It's a fun game, but it's crazy hard, be ready for a challenge.

It’s cartoon wars so it’s supposed to be good but there’s so many unit mechanics that it takes away from the game, the new battle modes like team battle and raid are fun and interesting but unless you pay for a ton of gold you can’t buy any of the research to continue the game, the new units are nice and there’s a perfect amount of them but it’s incredibly time consuming to level and enhance all the units once you get to level four and and while there are items you can use just one is valued at 10$ worth of i game currency, overall it’s incredibly complicated and there’s far to many in app purchases. CW2 was better

Definitely a very awkward change in game style. The old cartoon wars were so perfect, such a simple play style, yet still maintaining that exciting feel when playing a level. This new cartoon wars however is very different, and makes it feel a little forced in trying to make this game different.

Doesn’t work. I downloaded it today and the screen was half loaded and half black, the game was not playable. I tried restarting my phone and re downloading the app to no avail. Currently there seems to be no way of fixing it or playing the game.

Too complex. I miss the simplicity of Cartoon Wars 2. I used to play that game all the time, and was very disappointed when an iOS update made it incompatible. I’ve seen more and more games follow this same game design trend in their sequels, where there are suddenly all these daily “spin the wheel for a very low chance of getting what you want, or spend money to slightly increase your chances” mechanics, everything takes longer, there are fusion, evolution and combining mechanics that test my patience and are difficult to grasp, and the games get flooded with premium currency and micro transactions. I had a similar problem with PvZ2 and Angry Birds 2. The newer games seem to be more centred around tempting players to buy stuff by making things over-complicated and tedious in order to make more money than actually making the game enjoyable and easy to get the hang of. Sorry for the rant. I just really miss CW2.

Does not work on iphone 10, 11, or 12. The game takes up 25% of the screen and is unplayable. I deleted it and re-downloaded it 3 times that did not work. I can’t access the game settings because the game takes up a quarter of the screen but the buttons still think it’s full screen so navigating the game is impossible. What a huge letdown i remember how fun this used to be now it is pay to win if you can even get the game to work. What has the world come to.

Glitches and betrayal. I’m not that familiar with cartoon war, but to be honest the back lash I’ve seen is over dramatic yet is still to be expected. You took what’s precious from the fans. In the tutorial, trying to re summon breaks the tutorial and i have no idea what to do. So far, this game is pretty over hated. Some fans just keep saying my childhood is ruined, baby’s, it’s just a game.

Screen out of view. Please fix. I don’t know if this is my phone or just the game, but I don’t have this problem with other horizontal games. I’m using an iphone xr that is running ios 13.5.1 and the game is shifted out of the main view of my phone screen to the left so that I can only see 2/3 of the game and the rest of my screen is just black. It’s unplayable like this. Although any popups that are shown like their ads for other games are shown correctly in the middle of my screen.

Seriously older ones are better ones. Just bring back cartoon wars 2 or make it easier to get good units. Also in cartoon wars 2 there was a challenge because for example you had to bring Santa to his sled without picking the units. Also you could buy units instead of randomly getting them in the normal game mode.

Cartoon wars 3 is bad. Listen this game has major bugs in it and I think that other people would agree that the old CW were better than the new ones. I mean its fun but mu gosh the ai just gets stupid op around world 8 and it takes serious strategy to get past it then world 10 you just wanna give up and dont get me started on gunner if you are unlucky but they didnt botch it nearly as much as galaxy on fire 3 which was just the ruination of a great series

BRING BACK CARTOON WARS 1 and 2. I LIKED 1 and 2 better not 3 its like copying other games and it should have been better if you continued the previous one because a lot of people loved it but now other people dont like it like me so please bring it back

Honestly a great game!. It is nothing like the past cartoon wars... This game is very pay to win and loads very slow but you can expect this from most free games as of now. It takes some getting used to as I have made a few mistakes and I have encountered a few bugs. Although this game has these downsides it is very addicting and fun to play.

It is good but…. This game is really fun I just would wish that we didn’t have to pay to get a lot of gems and crystals. And I wish the chances of getting 4-7 stars would be a little higher in the premium and special summon packs. Thank you for making such an awesome game!

Cashgrab title.. As many others, I thought CW3 would be a good return for the series until I looked at what they added to the game. Three currencies, rng card system, and too many pointless upgrade systems boggled the game down. However, there was still hope when they introduced a hero system that should be reminicent of CW2 and CW Gunner, but they messed that up too. While in those games they steadily trickled down enemies, in CW3 the game sends an entire wave at you immediately. Just ignore this one and play the ones truely created by blue.

Crash dummy. This game crashes like it's nobody's business. Especially in raid battles. I'm not sure of the status of the dev team behind this game but the updates are few and too far in between. Can someone please squash the bugs? Other than that it's a decent game... I've played the first CW a long time ago but don't remember enough about it to compare the 1st & 3rd CW.

Don’t bother. I’ve played the other cartoon wars and they were fun. This one has gone way overboard adding things in with little to no explanation. They’ve gone through much effort to make it incredibly difficult to do the simplest things. And my god, the pop-ups trying to sell you things are ridiculous. Another added complaint, besides the game being over complex and generally bad, is you can’t listen to your own music while playing, even if you mute the games music

I remember how fun CW2 was. I just wanted a little nostalgia but apparently they decided it would be a good idea to make this game a duplicate of all the other garbage games on the App Store. Who wants to look at a confusing map? Who wants to tap through an hour long tutorial by some generic stick lady? I remember when it was actually fun, just back and forth fighting with a very simple UI. Now it’s the exact same as all the other ad-ridden “kingdom” games on the app store

Please update CW blade and gunner. You have amazing games just sitting there where tons of loyal fans can’t enjoy anymore. Please update those games to the new IOS so we can enjoy them and continue to support you.

Bugs. I really liked the other games in the series and could you please update them to support higher iOS levels and also please fix the in game resolution because the screen won’t fit to my phone.

Remaster cartoon wars 2 please or fix your game. Cartoon wars 3 wasn’t that bad; however it was not the best, im not writing this to hate on fans of Cartoon wars 3, however with the current IOS version the game is unplayable, with a bug that messes up the screen severely, so I ask the publishers to please consider remastering 2 which was one of the most successful of the cartoon wars series, or at least fix 3 so that the games can thrive once again

Cool game. Where is your life a game because that you’re able to go to adventure mode and also attack others and also like the games are used to play which was monster legends I might need to use coins on some things but it’s still pretty cool.😎😎😎👍👍👍

Game only uses part of my screen. I’m not sure why, but the game only uses the upper left corner of my screen, maybe a little over a quarter of it in total. I have an iPhone XR and am running the latest iOS. When it plays ads or anything other than the game itself, it put it fullscreen. However, I am on the city homepage, and it only uses the corner. It appears to be the entire game, just shrunken down into that corner. Please fix this, it makes it nearly unplayable

Very good. You guys should put more time updating this game and making it look better and try and give it some more fame. To me it is very entertaining and i love it but i think if you would put more time into it the game would just be perfect

Love the new play style. This game is great cuz it implements a whole new set of strategy and it’s still made possible to get good playing for free. If you enhance your three stars all the way then combine them then do the same with four and so on you can really get good fast! I have 2 5* in 3 weeks. But mostly cuz I play like non-stop cuz this game is so fun!

Unplayable. For some reason when I open the app everything is zoomed out and in the corner of my phone making it impossible to play. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

More options to buy!!. The game is fun, only thing is the you keep getting the same characters over and over again. It would be really nice if all the characters have their set price and you can pick and choose who or what you want to buy like in most games instead of this whole chance nonsense!!! 😒😑

Cartoon Wars 3: the random sequel. I’ve waited for this game ever since 2012. Back then, I managed to complete Cartoon Wars 2 at ease. Now, we receive Cartoon Wars 3, and here is what I have to say: thank you. This game brought me back to 2012, as if I never finished the game. The sequel is truly a great one, but not perfect, which is why I gave it a 4 star rating. Here’s why: 1. SFX muted whenever something out of the game happens (like a phone call...) 2. Sticks and characters are low quality (feels just like looking at a moving JPEG image) 3. Majority of the game is unexplained. Basics are an exception. And 4. Music is also low quality, especially when you can feel the music cutting to the loop.

Doesn’t work on all phones. I got my iPhone XR recently. I’d been playing this game on my other phone for a while, so I decided to get it on my new phone (the XR). I downloaded it smoothly, but when I tried opening it, it went almost fully offscreen and I could only see about 25%. The rest was just black. I’ve liked this game for a while and that’s why I rated it three stars instead of one, but please fix this.

Like many others. Like many others i came from Cw & Cw2 i got 3 because cw has always been a game i liked to play in my spare time i even used to spend money on upgrade's it was worth it completely, but when i say this new one feels like a complete cash grab first pff they added all type of new elements to the game to where if u want to upgrade you players itll cost you the days of earning points for upgrades are over 🥲 all in all throw it away lets start back over with the basic Cartoon Wars

Why do new?. I liked the old graphics way more then these new ones. Gamevil please 😩😩😩. When ever i tried to play the game the screen is all in one corner and not full screen and i tried everything i could but nothing is working i just got the Xr when i first tried downloading CW3 But Nothing worked

Good job. I love this game so dang much. I remember when my older brother told me about the first game and we loved that one to a point where we always only ever played together. The. Came the 2nd one which was the first game I became addicted to. By cartoon wars has a blend of the original the second game and gunner. This is just my favorite game thank you for making me this 😁

Can’t Believe This. After 4 years, I come back to this game thinking that it would be playable. Turns out, y’all gave up after 3 years to either update the game for newer iOS devices. It’s always going to the top left corner as a small screen, and to top it off, the controls are paired with my iPhone 11. Very upset with how one of my favorite mobile games and favorite trilogy went under the whole foundation, not the roof.

This Game Is A masterpiece and My childhood. I used to play this game since I was 6 year old I used to get 7 stars and like 5 stars units and went on normal mode and I finally found this game and I gonna play it FOREVER!

Great game but.... I just got an iPhone XR and am trying to play the game but it’s the way the phone is I can’t play because the screen is all scrunched together in the top left corner. It’s really frustrating and it would be really helpful if that could change so I didn’t waste all this time building up everything. At least try to make the game compatible with newer phones

Disappointed not what i hoped for.... I have played all the cartoon war games. I loved cw1 and cw2. But cw3 is too complicated they added a town hall you have to upgrade (yet another game trying to copy some of clash of clans) and a way to limit how much you can play (swords). They should get rid of this cw3 and start anew. And definitely be more like the first cartoon wars. It takes too long to actually improve in the game and money is hard to come by same for the castle upgrades. Dont waste your time and money. Id rather drink my own urine than play this game.

This game is awesome. This game is awesome I have been looking for a good stick figure game for a long time and I have had a lot of fun with this game I’m still playing it and I think you should get it and give it a try I got one of my friends to play and he’s addicted to it now

One of the best games I’ve ever played. I remember years ago when I got this and played it, and it was very fun! It’s amazing to see what updates the developers have added ever since I stopped cause I finished the game but I’m back and I’m gonna play the updates but this game was one of the best games I have ever played I can remember the first time playing it.

Don’t understand le hate. I recently redownloaded this game, and I noticed the reviews now filled with bad reviews of nostalgic players who liked the old game better. I remember playing this with my friend about a year ago and we had fun competing and trying to get the farthest first. It’s a fun game, but that’s just my opinion, so I don’t really care what you say.

What happened..?. I used to be such a huge fan of this series. The older games were amazing and I found out they were gone which wasn’t the best thing but hen I saw this and I was really excited. I ended up getting the game, played it for 10 minutes. And I haven’t touched it since. It’s just boring and it has EXTREMELY annoying background music. If the other games were brought back and in the same state they were left in, that would be so much better than this piece of garbage. So that’s my suggestion. Get rid of this game and somehow bring back the others.

Impossible to play on mobile now. It’s so sad that this is a game the devs have just left behind in the dumps when it was so much fun. Can’t even play now because of the screen bug that only lets the game be on the corner of your phone or tablet. It’s just ridiculous. Can’t be excited to play a fun game anymore and it’s really disappointing. Best the devs could do is at least update and fix some of the bugs that make the game unplayable.

Good game but needs some fixes. This game is great like the ones before it but I think the rewards from levels should match the level you are in. Not getting a 1 star unit on level 20 what good is a 1 star unit when you are this far? It's not good but to sell for 100 gold? What is 100 gold when you are this far?

Awesome yet disappointing. These games are pretty much my childhood. It is very saddening that they aren’t “updated” to be able to play on the newer iOS. I miss being able to play cartoon wars and cartoon wars 2. Cartoon wars 3 isn’t necessarily a bad game, but sometimes like with cars, older is better.🙂

Ok. Pretty sure they just want you to buy gems because I’ve saved up multiple times and bought the deals and I always get the lowest out of the pack. Also the roulette wheel isn’t consistent on spinning. It will literally do a spin it never has before just so I won’t get something good. Other than that the gameplay is fun. Prepare to spend a long time playing to get anything semi good.

Bring The 1 and 2 back. Good but not enough.. I played the first one didnt have the chance to play the Second one but I saw a gameplay of it. I can tell this one is not even the shadow of the first two. I mean is not bad game but the New mechanics are Messy and anoying. I remember playing the first one was so addictive, fun and simple. Now you have to pay if you want to keep moving in the game.. even the adventure mode you need “swords” to play it. Why? Bring back the first Two this one is not that fun.

Very addictive game. Very fun, addicting, so much to it, and great cartoon quality! It’s so fun I got my friends into it too. Would recommend to basically anyone that likes these kind of games. The only problem with it is it doesn’t always work with the iPhone XR.

Love the others but... This version doesn’t work well with the iPhone XR and makes it almost in playable. I really like this game and hope for y’all to release some updates so people can love this game as much as I did when I played it on the older phones

There progressing backwards. When I first saw this game I was ready to stay up till 2 and beat the game. When I got onto the app, I instantly started to regret getting it. Great game just has a lot of bugs. Currently when I try to play the gameplay screen isn’t coordinated correctly w/my phone screen but other than that I remember this game being really addictive
