Just Another Great Drum Machine. I have the full metronome, full rock drummer and full funk drummer. I am using the lite version of this to see if I want to add it. I am a bass player and dabble in the guitar and keyboards, this app makes practice more enjoyable and more effective. The secret to becoming a great Musician is consistently playing scales, modes, cords or arpeggios and these apps make this fun instead of the boring metronome. The ability to change the parameters and save your groove has enhanced my song writing. Keep up the good work !

Sound/ quality. For being a app, this is a great tool to compose music. Beats some of the poor beat machines out in the market.

This drum machine is seriously addicting. The beats on here are so good, that you can spend hours doing nothing but cutting and have a good time.

Came highly recommended. Been gigging w a buddy who has soft drummer and funk drummer. V impressed by Luis’s app’s - my friend isn’t the only one who recommended Lumbeat - so figured I’d grab free versions of his stuff and see if they are right for my needs at home in the studio. Excited to get in and play, will update after.

I see where this may be going…... And it could be a lifesaver on stage where the groove MUST HAVE a latin feel. I’ve had to limit our band set list due to lack of rhythmic variations. This may be the game changer!

Great sounds. This app is pretty good especially the sounds and the features it is perfect for sampling to the Mpc or maschine or laying down some quick patterns to play over

Decent .... I found the sounds to be fairly authentic. Although, the rhythms may be limited ... I'm not quite sure that I've fully explored all of the options.

The tones are really nice. I’ve listened to a few loop for Latin percussion and I think these are worthy of looping in with a live singer songwriter venue. Tap and rhythm are true. I’m working on accents and matching to flamenco and Latin Jazz nylon string guitar works. Keep on and thank you.

Makes my practice much more fun!. Not only does it add some fun, my ears and brain seem to be better able to follow the beat than they do with a generic “click” or other sound. I feel the pulse with these beats. Love this app!

Great for many applications. I have been using this app for recording and even for live performance. Great sounds, versatile, and so much fun to use. Highly recommended

Recommended on Deering Banjo webcast. I would be using it for claw hammer banjo, but the idea of using a track that is not in your “mental jukebox” to expand one’s music is appealing. The interface seems pretty friendly, no issues navigating to where I think I want to be.

Excellent companion rhythm. I play a variety of percussion instruments and this is the best app that I found that allows me to play along with clave and whatever else I want to add.

Useful and well done app. I really like to have all rhythms in one place, for reference when practicing or jamming.

Great demo. Love lumbeat apps and am beyond appreciative for being able to demo. This has a lot of great options as “lite” and I love the features. I have full version of hip hop and future drummer and now I bassist, I’m excited to play with lite right now and will likely end up purchasing full at some point esp if drum apps become auv, then lumbeat will be the top drum apps for most people .

Groove-y. The free version is cool, offering beats with just enough mods to make you wonder if it’s time to invest in the full version or time to take a sober look at yourself and wonder why you keep waking up in safari clothes.

Of course, it’s the bomb.... This app, not unlike anything Lumbeat has put out there, is simply the bomb for that realistic and super-tweakable backline latin groove that complements grooves already used in other Lumbeat apps. I love the timeless interface Lumbeat uses, and ultimately, serve to make their apps very “live” friendly, and I’ve used them for years onstage looping, with the crowd tripping out on the amazing sound my invisible band mates deliver. I’ll always use Lumbeat apps, because they sound great, and trust their reliability so much I am willing to use them live, without hesitation. Lovin’ it for real.

So far, so good. I’m on the go a lot, and so I usually rehearse my timing to a metronome, which can be kind of boring and uninspiring. With this app, I can rehearse anywhere to a beat that is much more than just tick, tick, tick.

Quality Audio. Very fun app to jam along with and study new genres. Also has great sounding samples for a free app! Highly recommend it!

Really Real. The sound is king. All the functionality will improve, but the sounds on all these apps are great. I’ve had funk drummer and future drummer for 2 days and I’m gigging with them. The SOUND! Looking for documentation on Bluetooth start/stop, fill, etc. occasionally tap tempo doesn’t work. Also it would be nice to have each pattern save different eq, reverb settings. My wish list is big, But the main thing is the SOUND. Playing the Chapman Stick, I can use either hand to goof off with the live mode and mess with the rhythms. Assignable Bluetooth will be the bomb for those of us that have our hands busy. Ciao and Aloha!

Good app but needs to be fixed in 2 issues. It's a very good app to play in live gigs, I found a couple that it could be good to consider to be fixed: When I'm looking for my customstyle in Favorites, automatically is set the Drumset that I made for that style, but when I'm using Pads, the drumset does not change with the style. That happened also building a song, it's not possible to change the drumset. I would be grateful if this issue it could be fixed, cause playing live, I can't use pads or songs.

Fun & Easy to use.. This app is Awesome. It is fun and easy to use. It has many AfroLatin traditional rhythms built in and classified by style and time signatures, with most all parameters adjustable for your tweaking, but most of all adjustable TEMPO, so you can learn them and play along with any accompaniment you have. This app sounds great in headphones, if that fits your need. But, is also loud enough with only my built-in iPad speakers to acoustically jam along with. Which is how I prefer to use this app. The sample sounds are high quality, and sound better than most “live” jamming drums, since the drum samples are all tuned so well to play together. Adhoc drum circles and jam sessions seldom sound “right,” for this reason. The second reason, would be their tendency to get “sweet,” with no leader and no “locked in” tempo. This app alone will allow you to enjoy your drumming, and your “friends with drums,” regardless of either’s proficiency. You will not regret downloading this app!!!

A Joy!. So I’ve been looking for beat maker apps for a while and decided to research again. SO glad I decided to try this one! Perfect music to add to lyrics I’ve already written! The variety of rhythms is amazing!

The software is genius it goes in and out in and out down the road to the place the place where it’s going to be throwing down there down there quality beats that are just they’re just there I’m on my feet I’m getting up getting down I’m getting all around that’s what I’m throwing down and throwing down it’s going down all over town

Good sound quality.. The app have a considerably good sound quality to be an app. However the “savor” is not really there yet. Some of the patterns sounds might sound a little bit strange in terms of construction elements and rhythm, if you compare them to the real thing. It might be a little simple and amateurish for a real pro Latin rhythm musician appetite. But hey.., it’s a machine and you can program it in most of the ways you might need. I can give easy a 4 stars just because of the usefulness of the percussion instrument sounds that it contains. I don’t know if I can use a MIDI control device with it yet, nor if I can make use of it as a MIDI module, which is the main purpose I bought it for. I really haven’t had the time yet to check those features. But as soon as I found about these important technical aspects I will let you know for sure.

Interesting app!. I just got it for the first 10 minutes. Looks pretty cool first glance, lots of options and variations you can build. Still exploring but I think it might provide some good ideas for drumming.

Great way to demo an app. Thank you for offering this free demo version of your app. I wish every developer would do that. It makes it so easy to try it out on my particular hardware, see how well it works, and decide if it's something I should buy. And the drums sound great!

I love it. I love this app. It allows me to create my own songs and musical arrangement. Also, it helps me to practice with my own percussion instruments.

Pretty good. Wish it was free for the full version.. Otherwise it’s still a good introduction to Latin rhythms. I’m using it to inspire me with new rhythms for the music I make. Hopefully I will find lots of inspiration with him.

So far, so good. I just have the light version which is basically just a sampling of the App. It sounds great and has enough variation and programmability to make me think this is the app I've been looking for. There is an ability for the program to "improvise" or jam which is a great feature. The rolls are cool but seem kind of similar, I'm not sure if you can program them or not. All in all seems like I will get this or something similar.

Absolutely Glorious!. This is MAGNIFICENT. I use it in so many ways; as a Bass player, it’s excellent for practice & jams but I can also use it for teaching my drum line as well!

Ideal drum machines from Lumbeat. Lumbeat drum machines are contagious. The sounds, flexibility and ease of use make these apps not only a beat making dream, but also an education.

Oye me canto!. I really like this app! Besides sounding great there are so many sounds to choose from. Other features include mixing, live jam, and many more. You get the Lite Version which gives you 16 bars but if you upgrade you are given 32 bars. Give it a try for yourself. I know you’ll like it.

Paranoid Developer. The developer puts so many restrictions on this demo that it's almost impossible to tell if it does what I need it to do. There is no documentation either so as you try to figure it out, it resets or stops. The full version may be excellent or it may be junk but I can't get a feel for how it works under these conditions. Unfortunate.

Don’t practice without it. If you are serious about your salsa playing!

Good learning tool. The sounds are very good. The free version of the app gives you 16 bars. If you write a review you get another 16 bars. Upgrading to the full version gets you many more sounds and styles. I find all of the apps in this series invaluable both as introductions to the genres and as tools for backing tracks or practice.

Super application...!. Great app just getting familiar with it, there are so many options musically to apply. I’ll be exploring all of the options, knowing well that I’ll be upgrading to the full version after I’m consistent with the operations. My overall opinion, this app will pose as an excellent addition to my musical workflow...

Ijexa. This app looks VERY comprehensive- it has not just one or two beats in each time signature, but several- maybe all of them, even. 6/8 Ijexa (Iyesa) is something I've been studying, and they have it!

Free app gives a taste. Too few rhythms and sound sets. Given the 16 bar restriction more could have been provided. But gives a good sense of features and stability before buying.

Love this App. Allows you to hear each percussion instrument separetly. This way makes it easier to understand Latin Rhythyms. Great Work.

A great songwriting tool!. I am a bassist songwriter and bandleader. I don’t play percussion or know how to explain the arrangements I hear. Now I do because I can use this app as template and direct my ideas better. I have introduced this app to many players I meet and they immediately download it. I am still in the process of learning the origins of these many styles, I will comment an update when I do.

Quite useful. Well designed. This app is thoughtfully designed and has all the features a music apps needs. Great app for adding percussive flair to a production. They even included ableton link!

First drum app. Always preferred the organic approach to percussion. However, Saw all the different styles in the description. Very cool so far! Look forward to learning more about it. Sick in bed right now with little energy to actually get on my drums, but at least I can still have some fun with this😁

Amazing Latin App. If you’re looking for an app to help you set a Latin rhythm composition this is it. You don’t have to worry about the timing, and configurations anymore specially when just dabbing with music creation!

Could be a game changer. It sounds great, But before I spend almost $20, I would like to have a week trial at least. To see and hear all the sounds, flexibility, possible bugs. I am a professional producer. So I have multiple drum and percussion engines. I carry them on my laptop. To have it on the iPad makes sense. Therefore I will seek one that allows me too try its potential before dishing out $.k after all this is what the most reputable apps allow

Another winner from alum beat. Having loved using Funk Drummer live, I got Soft Drummer and now Afro Cuban Lite. Each has it’s own speciality that works superbly out of the box. The sampled sounds are first rate and the ‘round robin’ variations ensure that nothing ever sounds contrived or too midi. Performing with these apps couldn’t be easier and the intensity slider, fills and fill endings allow you to play along freeing you from confined arrangements. These apps allow you to jam live.

Could be an awesome app. Just downloaded --- did not say anything about in app purchases ,, not nice . It limits usage because of this .. I wish they would have at prewarned about upgrade ... A little disappointed in the bait and switch to upgrade

Pretty Good. First app I have come across with a wide variety of Afro Cuban beats. Better than the Latin loops available in GarageBand.
