Love these apps. They are pretty realistic. Would like more percussion sound options, but still very nice.

Great app, but.... I really like all of the apps from Lumbeat. Great integration also. But I would have liked a midi export feature like some other of the drummer apps. Effects can be added in a DAW so midi export should not have been omitted.

Sweet leaf. Very nice beats, love the fact you can build a song mode with a tweaked kits.

Ya mon. Great reggae grooves. I’m not even a big reggae fan and I still love this app. Easy to use with really great sounds, grooves and fills. I’ve purchased almost all the apps from this developer and have yet to be disappointed. Top shelf app.

No Export? But Still a Great App!. Only virtual Reggae drummer option that I know. Great app all around. Only thing it needs is the export option like the Funk Drummer app has? Will that be in an update? Please? Definitely add the last star when that happens!

Great on iPad, but iPhone can’t save user beats. I have Rock Drum Machine and Soft Drummer from Lumbeats and love them. Reggae Drummer is equally amazing on my iPad but my iPhone 6s running iOS 14.4 cannot save the Grooves that I create. Please fix and I’d be happy to update my review. Thanks for the great apps!

Lumbeats’ Got It All!. Hands down! If you’re like me, I love making music. Back in the day, you either were good at programming your own beats or had to find played drum grooves off sample CD’s. Only problem was, played grooves were more likely to be used by someone else’s song too often, especially if it was a popular groove. Also, going thru tons of CD’s just to find something descent was a headache. And while programming your own is very cool, producing different articulations during the groove was time consuming and very hard to come up with, not to mention trying to avoid the repetitiveness of those articulations in efforts of sounding like a real drummer. You can’t keep hearing the same few fills over and over again and expect people to be convinced you had a real drummer on the track. Lumbeat allows you to set a simple or complex groove of your own and then let it conduct the articulations and/or fills for you, BRILLIANT! It does this while letting you choose which sounds/ parts to articulate also! And I don’t know the players or programmers of these apps, but they are AWESOME! I’ve purchased most of these programs and can’t get enough. The graphics and intuitive layouts are easy to understand and just look fantastic! This latest Reggae app is off the chain, and I’m not even that big a fan of Reggae, but it sold me! All the apps have some of the best drum and percussion sounds in the industry. Just sooooo functional! I love it! Keep up the great work Lumbeat! So sorry for the long review folks.

absolute brilliance delivered once again, evolved!. truly the lumbeat apps are the finest example of an "intelligent machine" they are very very very good at putting the soul of drumming tradions in the palm of your hand, powerful and flexable yet much more simple and streamline than most far less usefull programmes.

Highly recommended!. I’m an experienced producer and I’ve used just about all of drum software out there. This program is fantastic! I wish there was the ability to trigger the individual sounds by pads. I hope they continue to add kits and support this amazing app.

My first Lumbeat app. I have been hearing all about the Lumbeat apps on the Audiobus forum for a while now. Having finally gotten one myself, I can see that all the fans were not exaggerating. This app is so fun to jam with. It is easy to figure out. It sounds fantastic. And this one has a lot more than just Reggae grooves. I just got this a couple of hours ago, but it is already one of my favorite apps. I will definitely be getting some of the other Lumbeat apps now. Great job on Reggae Drummer!

Awesome to jam with but documentation would help. Got this and Jazz Drummer at about the same time. They really are a lot more fun to jam with than typical drum machines. That said, I feel like I’m probably missing a lot because of the absence of documentation. For example, it took me watching a video regarding iBassist to figure out how to sync the apps. I’m also at the point where my interpretation of the jam controls is essentially just more means more stuff going on. If I want to move past playing with the preset patterns, some guidance would help.

Sounds awesome. Feel and vibe are perfect for my needs, although I wish it had at least one 70s style roots kit - I.e. super dirty and lofi

Outstanding app, great price. Great preprogrammed patterns and it improvised musically. Plus you can create your own patterns, tweak all kinds of settings, export audio/midi, and sync with Ableton Link.

Update ruined app. Since yesterday’s update, this app is now completely non-functional, it won’t even open.

Another great offering. The Lumbeat formula never disappoints. Great beats, great sounds, and great interface. Super fun and super functional.

No export feature, but otherwise good. I have several of the Lumbeat drum apps, and this is basically as impressive and user friendly as the rest, except that for some reason this has no way to export. That really limits its functionality. Also, I would like to see some more variety of old school ska and reggae.

Lumbeat apps are required in your toolbox. If you purchase any one of the Lumbeat apps, you will continue until you have them all! They are absolutely top quality and a must own resource in your iPad music generation toolbox. With the ability to sync iBassist you can instantly begin creating some very nice beats and patterns. Don't think twice about it, buy these apps and start enjoying music creation on the iPad like you never thought possible.

Fun to Jam With!. I bought all of these apps. Haven’t figured out all of the differences. But I wish that they were cheaper. Using one universal app and charging less for the different styles in “in-app” purchases.

Love the sparseness for composing. Most drum apps are way too busy to be using them as a collaborative partner in time keeping while you develop your ideas. I love reggae, for it’s Lumbeat large solid feature set, musicality and flexibility, but also because it gives me enough space to improvise and Composer over without taking all of my attention away.

No hand percussion - no dubstep kit. Surprised there were no percussion parts to the grooves. No hand drums. other Lum beat apps have excellent perc. Also no dubstep drum pallet? How hard would that be to add some phat modern electronic drum sounds to one of the kits?

Lumbeat strikes again. Most iPad musicians won’t touch Inter-app audio these days with Lumbeat drummers a exception that proves the rule. If you can’t get use out of these apps you’re not a serious musician. I will say that the Reggae sounds were a little more compressed sounding than I had hoped. Jazz drummer and Soft Drummer are much more realistic for me. Reggae Drummer still a really awesome beat maker with a lot of AI ingenuity on the ball. I got it on sale for $9 US a steal!

Listen for fun. What a wonderful pack. Sounds great and I find myself listening to the drums just for fun. I bought this so I can record beats and it’s worked out great so far. One gripe is I really would like to use high hats and ride at the same time when creating a song. I have to jump through unnecessary hoops to make that happen right now. Otherwise fun as can be.

One suggestion for all the drumming apps /which are great. It would be nice if there was a countdown next to the fill on 8th etc bar....I realize if you can mult/divide quickly on the fly it’s off to the left but I’m not that quick....soooo, put 4-12 dots or numerical display next to "fill on" so I know when a fill is coming?....and maybe offer some intro outro fills that are longer and more complicated,/fade out? Also for the reggae app I would like to suggest the addition of a lot of weird effects percusssion which some reggae uses.... Amazing Reggae/Dub/Rocksteady/Ska Drum sounds/drummer. I love this app and have had it a few years now. I am currently trying to use it with the newest iOS update with GarageBand and it is not one of the new “third-party” apps you can choose from. Any chance anyone knows a way around this or a way to get the company licensed to use it with Apple GarageBand? Thanks, and a great, versatile app.

Great of course. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars like I did for Soft Drummer and Funk Drummer was due to selfish expectation. I’m a huge Stewart Copland fan. I was hoping for a spot on sample of his classic ‘80s Police kit. While it does have Tama snares, and roto toms, I was hoping it would go a little further in delivering a precise sample set. But, it’s not bad. I’m still learning this particular Drummer app so maybe there’s more. I just bought it and recorded with it. Three are some different features here. Effects can be added to drums at certain intervals like a heavy two beat echo on the snare, which is typical of Reggae mixing. iCloud backup is welcome. Glad I purchased the Reggae Drummer. Going for the African or Middle Eastern Drummer next.

Stellar. Luis Martinez makes some of the best drum apps going, Future Drummer has been the backbone of my live rig for more than a year, now Reggae Drummer surpasses it in terms of Human feel. Outstanding!

Just get it. Yeah, it’s a lot for a drum machine. BUT. If you play reggae or just want to have some chill patterns to practice over, this is hands down the BEST program I have ever seen. It’s as simple or as complicated as you want to make it- the premade grooves and patterns are more than enough, but you can tinker every little detail from the size of the hi hat to the brand of rototoms. You can “humanise” the virtual drummers to make it sound more natural and less robotic, and the built in effects emulate what a classic studio production would add to them: reverb, delays and compression. Worth every cent and then some!

Almost there good app. Yet another great app by Lumbeat. I own all others but these one as the other drummers could use some necessary useful updates. The drum samples are good and it’s about 80% Intuitive. As I was programming patterns I ran into a few problems no crashes or anything like that but some things that I think should be obvious for an drum machine app to have. 1. There is no way that I could fine; to save the tempo with the pattern. This is very Important. For example if I program a pattern for a song at 80 bpm and then I create another pattern for another song at 120 bpm. The app retains the last used tempo instead of loading the tempo with each pattern. Please make it so that the tempo is saved with the pattern and if the feature is already available please tell me how to do it. 2. Although the fx are nice I couldn’t find a way to latch them and keep them on per instrument. For example I want to add reverb to the stick only or the snare only and keep the rest of the drums dry. Also let’s say I want to add a delay to the hi-hats only to emulate triplets or something it cannot be done. 3. Talking about triplets I couldn’t find an intuitive way to program triplets, though the app has multiple time signatures it would be nice to be able to program triplets easily. I’m sure there is a way but it’s not obvious or intuitive at least for me. 4. In the subject of being obvious haha. I couldn’t find a help file or a manual not on the app or website. Though these types of apps are easy to operate you seem to have a bunch of cool functions that would be well served by a well written manual or video tutorials. There are a bunch of reviews about the app but nothing that looks into it in depth. I really do like this app and I own all the other drummer styles by Lumbeat so please add all the features above on an update to all the drummers. A help file would well… help haha or at least post how to videos on your website or Youtube this way you could make us users happy and make the app a beat easier. (Pun intended) Update on review: If one presses and holds the fx button down for 3 second it will latch and keep the fx on the desire part.

Thanks guys you ares the best. I recently gave reggae drummer 3 stars due to a bug. But I had to change it as the developer responded and fixed it a few days later. So here is the review it was supposed to get. First off a lot of persons don’t know about this product. Any one looking for a real live drums in your face type of sounds these guys nailed it to the T. This drums sound should be all studios secret weapon and should be the standard to how drum machines should be made. If these guys made this as a vet they would kill all competitors. The way they put this together is the right way to work when you are righting reggae music.You want to be able to have your drum fill on fly when you want not when the plug-in decides. I have other plugins from them hope all gets this update soon. Guys I don’t usually give five stars but they are worth it. Sometimes in the music industry something comes along that is exactly what we need as musicians and songwriters. This is one of those product. And for a company to fix their bugs so quickly and reply to its customers very good. This is why I am giving it full stars plus one. Good job guys keep up the good work now let me go program some kit and make some drum. Oh some timbale would be nice. I would buy it in a heart beat. I can keep talking and say how good this is. So stop reading and go buy it already
