Mann of The Hour. I love future drummer. This app is user-friendly with a nice amount of sounds. You can quickly get to music-making and crave out ideas on the fly. The interface is great everything is in your face and you're able to move quickly switching the tempos kicks, drum snare's, etc. Bring on more sounds!

Playin’ at music with a Pro’ sittin’ in. As a public school teacher, I worked to develop skills and flexibilities to utilize them within each of my students. A cardinal approach is to facilitate the student from where they are when you encounter them, to next steps on their journey, by providing models, encouragement and inspiration along their path. Across diverse fields of curriculum, part of the goal included providing opportunity for the student to experience the subject matter from perspectives within the discipline (e.g. how would a scientist pursue “scientific method” to move from observation/ curiosity through gathering data, drawing conclusions, forming hypothesis, testing its application to “discovering a principle”, or how might a writer use a particular format to express/ convey content to an audience). That is what Lumbeat does with each of its apps: provide models, each of which contains levels of interaction and variations to accommodate an encourage the user’s participation in playing/ creating music. Whether basic AND interesting accompaniment, while the user plays on another instrument or mastering the basics, intricacies and art of drumming, this and the other Lumbeat apps will provide many successful “next steps”

Amazing value. Ableton Link Enabled. This is great. I apologize if a left a bad review somewhere; for some reason when I first downloaded, I was having problems with Link. Turned out the issue was with me not this great app.

All Lumbeat drum apps are essential tools / works of art. I cannot overpraise these products. The concept of a flexible realistic style-specific drum machine is revolutionary in itself, but it succeeds primarily because of the musical attention to detail. There is a lifetime of musical knowledge in each app. For inspiration during songwriting they can't be beat! I can't wait for the afrobeat model!

Better and better. These LumBeat Drummer apps have been slowly pulling me in over a couple years and I’ve got a few now and find myself just jamming or using them for inspiration quite often. The stability improvements and enhancements have been adding up and I’m really digging this app in 2024, although I gotta be honest and say Hip-Hop drummer is still in the lead but that could change … great work on these!

Incredible patterns and sounds!. This drum app stands above others for it’s features. Easy GUI learning curve to create custom kits and patterns. The included patterns are a GREAT starter to get a jam going. The onboard FX are a great touch. Syncing and being able to export the song, stems and/or MIDI, sets this apart from others. Luvme some Lumbeats!

Love this so much!. The LumBeat drum engine is amazing. It’s like working with a great session player who takes your ideas into bigger, better dimensions. Now with MIDI and audio export, plus some cricial bug fixes, it is an astounding bargain.

Wish the sound module toggle was available. I really enjoy Future Drummer and Rock Drum Machine from Lumbeat but for some reason the sound module option that is seen in screen shots appears to have been removed. I would really like to be able to use the sounds from these apps with other drum machines driving them. Hopefully this feature will make a return at some point.

These apps just keep getting better!. I have a few of the developer’s other drum apps. Dragged my feet a bit on getting this one because it’s a bit outside of the styles I tend to play. Glad I finally pulled the trigger though. It’s actually extremely versatile, and I was really happy to learn that I could also use brushed acoustic kits because I own soft drummer. Looking for inspiring beats? Look no further!

Better and better each time !. Luis has a formula with his drum apps that keep getting better with each release , plus he keeps up with updates . Great for electronic drums sounds. First I am a drummer and if you want natural sounding drums than I highly recommend all of this developers drum apps. They give you excellent feel and are highly customizable, you can spend hours crafting the perfect groove and patterns for your projects! Totally Unique / Totally Awesome. If you're into iOS drum apps this one is Special: all the solidness of the former LumBeat apps plus a whole new universe of interactive jamming and hyper-expressive control. It sounds great, feels great and (most importantly) fuels tons of absolutely inspired beats. Update: still awesome and new sound packs = FTW!

Best virtual in the App Store. By far the most options and best sounding virtual drummer app on the iOS market at this point. Two additional options I’d personally love to see is loading my own samples and midi files. If I had these two extra options I’d be in drum programming heaven!!! Big ups to the developers on this one, getting funky drummer next!!

The best current standard drum sequencer. Instant drums if you dont know what you are doing, and incredible tweakability if you do. Well worth the prce. Great sounds. Only thing missing is importing your own sounds.

Love all the lumbeats. I so far have Future, Soft, Funk, AfroLatin, and Mideast, and I am not sure I am done. In love how I can, with the free lite versions, test out the interface, how I, not a drummer, can learn about drums and beats, how these are the perfect mix of preset drum tracks, which are practically totally editable, and how I can play so many different genres.

Another excellent drummer app from Lumbeat. I own various lumbeat apps, including hip-hop, Middle East, Indian, Reggae, and future drummer. They are all excellent, and offer a well-simulated experience of jamming with a drummer. I like using the mixer to isolate one or two drums, and then sending the beat to mix with another drummer for a unique kit. Thanks Luis! Keep up the great work!!

Where has this app been all my life. I have not bought any of these drummer apps until today. Boy, have I been missing out. Instant grooves, awesome sounds, fun tweaks. Midi out to other apps. Great live performance options.

Amazing jamming robot drummer!. This is so fun and honestly makes you want to just jam to it whatever your instrument is. I am in a synth bass phase so I’m just in heaven. Oh, and it feels like the AI in the robotic stochastic drummer is getting seriously good.

Must Have. Sounds are supreme. Simplicity is the city where inspiration is the capital. The lowest fruit is the future of drumming. When my brother (who is my normal drummer gets an attitude) I turn to the future.

Great practice drum box. Good tool for to getting more practice time in. The jam function gives basic patterns just enough flare to forget your listening to a loop. I would like to see a few samples that were more groove focus for this style, like vocal chops or reverb blips so you could program to get a mock pumping sound since we can not add delay to one drum. I really do enjoy this app; I am just kinda Jones’n for more.

Amazing. I own four apps from Lumbeat, and they are simply amazing. Most drum machines lock you in to repetitiveness. Not Lumbeat. I do wish for auv3 and better midi handling, like iBassist in AUM. But regardless, these apps make up for my lack, and for that I adore them. They are like having a real drummer.

My heat funn. Apple cider is the most popular in my opinion on my phone with the same name and I have to be in my office for a while and I have to be in my office for a while and I have to go back to the store and I don’t want my food in my office for a minute

One of the best drum apps for iOS. I have bought most of the lumbeat apps and keep coming back to these apps for songwriting and bootstrapping ideas.

Worth the dough. I’ve been got a small fortune invest in iPad music apps. There always seemed to be a lackluster selection for the percussive sections as far as creativity. Honestly up until now I would argue that GarageBand’s sequencer was as good or better than any app available. Of course I had somehow missed this developer named Luis’ apps but man these things are awesome. Tons of fun, great sounds, patterns for those times you have a melodic itch you wanna jump straight into, and patterns that are thoughtfully selected/created that will inspire you from the many corners of electronic music. Obviously, you can make anything you like from scratch as well. So far, very impressed. Will update if I run into anything worth noting but I have a feeling this is a well polished machine and there won’t be many issues. All of Luis’ apps are among the best in the iPad music world for rhythm. It’s worth it to save your money to get one of his apps rather than 3 more of the same synths or effects. I suggest this because he was able to combine a little of everything into this one I feel like it’s the least commitment to a certain sound/genre for the price and will give you an idea of if these apps are for you. Anyhow really nice app! Recommended for sure

10 years gone by. I have a lot of drum machines apps, but this one always seems to be my immediate go to when I’m doing live shows are busking with my guitar. It’s not complicated, and it works. I just wish the lifetime unlock price were a little more reasonable. At least I can hide all of them :-)

Great app, only one wish. This is a quality app with a lot of nice features and it is fairly priced. I always use this app and I don’t want go back to use other drums app. I wish had midi synch for live use with my hardware. Ableton link is no as responsive as midi synch. I highly recommend this app.

Love all the drum sets. I’ve bought everything so far and recommend all the drum apps. Just waiting for the Heavy Metal one now.

Revolutionary. ...at least for me! I am a synthesist but by no means a drummer. I can come up with a basic beat that fits a song, but repeating it forever makes that song sound sterile and I'm simply too lazy to go program a bunch of fills to make it more interesting. Enter Future Drummer...it makes my tracks come ALIVE! Highly recommended...

Pretty Glorious. Thank you for the 8 channel export function and the rest of the upgrades for Future Drummer. I'm hopeful these upgrades will be made available soon for jazz drummer and the rest. So wonderful!

No Brainer. Even if you aren’t a drummer, this app is a no Brainer to get a nice groove going. And if you do want to use your Brain, the editing/creation schemes lumbeat has given us is a pleasure to use! Have no problem in investing in more lumbeat drum apps. Great work

Future Drummer is great!. I've owned Future Drummer since it came out, the first paid app I purchased from this developer. For the price, I would recommend utilizing this along with routing apps to your Mac desktop DAW. It's cheaper for the amount of product you get with a vst, more intuitive, and fun to create with!

Great electronic drum generator!. All of Luis’ apps are pretty great, and particularly for musicians that play other instruments (but not drums) and would have trouble programming an original drum beat using either finger tapping or a piano roll. I particularly love the randomize option (the pair of dice) to come up with a quick, original idea that you can tweak further on the editing screen if you like. As with all of these apps, it’d be nice to have just a few more instruments to control, but it’s a great tool to get to work and start creating music!!

Pretty cool. I like the developers other apps as well. A lot of time went into this covering many styles of music to practice with. Good for inspiration and playing solo in front of audiences

Lumbeat apps are a MUST OWN. I have purchased all of the Lumbeat apps at this point. Each one is absolutely loaded with great beats and patterns. Adding to that is the ability to sync the iBassist app for an even greater sounding experience. If music generation on iPad is your thing, there is no way to go wrong with any or all of the Lumbeat apps. Highly recommended for your music toolbox.

Anything Lumbeat.... ...deserves serious consideration. At first I was put off by the “by genre’ packaging of each of the Lumbeat apps. While it may be safe to make generalizations about some styles of music, it seems particularly limiting to try and make generalizations or set a definition for what “Future” musics will sound like. Well... this app knocked those concerns off of that soapbox with its flexibility. One of the perks of all Lumbeat apps is their similar interface. Learn one, and you’ll be able to swap palettes. Mixing and matching grooves from several Lumbeat apps has been to yield pleasant surprises and inspire new ideas. Maybe the use of “Future” in this app’s title isn’t pretentious in the slightest, but instead meant sincerely?

All very useful. I have most of his drum apps and have found them very useful, easy to program, or use very good preprogrammed patterns - i have owned a lot of drum machines that cost a lot more but were much less useful - and to have a drum machine w/ you at all times when ideas strike = priceless! Awesome drums for all kinds of work. It’s so easy and quick to come up with new sounds and pattern variations that all sound spectacularly original and appealing. Luis is always improving upon and coming up with great updates, keeping everything working smoothly and upgrading with new features. Some of the best drum apps on the iOS platform imo.

Best-in-Class Drum Machine Apps. The ability to set 3-8 steps-per-beat-- on each individual beat of any track (!!!)-- is very rare in drum machines. Gives you incredible freedom! The fills functions in all these apps is staggeringly good. Very natural sounding and fun. Some serious mojo going on in the programming. I wish the song mode allowed you to store a tempo with each "part". I wish Lumbeat would create an app called "MIDI Drummer". It would have up to 16 tracks (with selectable MIDI output/channel), and would use this same rhythmic structure, but instead of 4 hit types, would allow you to choose a MIDI note and velocity for each step.

A Save for the Non-drummer. Intros, fills, and turnarounds were challenging before getting this app. Now I can take an easier road to the finish line of a piece of music. Update: The more used, the more liked.

A Great and Very Useful Drum App For Pros and Amatuers. I have been using “SuperMetronome” when working with my music and loved it. I saw this one and thought a little expensive but gave it try since I really liked SuperMetronome. Future Drummer is really an all around useful app for percussionist and musicians. It has plenty of controls and can be used with a variety of other music apps and programs. It has MIDI out, inter-app audio, 2 necessary features. Song mode Is fantastic for creating a song quickly. It has enough effects for most users, compressor, reverb,EQ, and delay. Live Pads is great for use in Live jamming. There are additional sounds you can purchase along with giving you two free. I am a percussionist and love to practice with it and help me make up grooves and beats. A lot of features in one app. It will take a little time to fully use it. To cut the learning curve down I wish there was a manual or users example doc to help. One last think, this is no toy, pros, amateurs and educators can make use of Future Drummer.

Surprised!. I have pretty much all of the lumbeat apps and they always exceed my expectations. I never thought I’d download FD because I couldn’t see the use of an automated electronic drum machine for my workflow, but then I realized I can program it exactly how I want and then let it jam for amazing results. The results have been amazing.

Helpful app. It is an intuitive and helpful app… I like having lots of options and a preset starting point. Auv3 capacity would help, but I’m happy with it as is.

Finally free of piano rolls and daw style drum programming!. It took me quite a while to get past the price simply because apps that I thought were similar let me down a lot. But after working with it a few days (months now) I’m more than satisfied. The rhythms are actually usable and are not just random hits scattered around the sequencer. Everything in the app is customizable and can be as complicated or as simple as you want it to be. I am no drummer but I have had no problem creating intros, verses and choruses, with variation and fills. It takes a little patience but very rewarding. The grooves I have made I would never have come close to especially in terms of complexity. Im very happy to be free of piano rolls, mouse clicks and typical DAW style drum programming. The kits cover a lot of ground sound wise. It gives you five different sequencer tracks as well. I really hope this one stays maintained for a while because it definitely is not a trash app at all. Also, the dev added a few more kits recently.

I SHOULD HAVE GOT THIS DRUMKIT FIRST. I’ve spent $100’s of dollars on drum kits on the AppStore searching for the perfect drum tool.... this seriously has the best sounds, patterns and interface out there. These guys have seriously nailed it. So much fun and it’s actually helped me kick start a new song which is exactly what I need from a drum kit. Inspiration not something slowing me down.

Live performance enhancer. I use this app with an AIRSTEP midi pedal to trigger fills, toggle between hats and ride or change patterns hands free. This app has elevated my performance to a whole other level. Stop procrastinating and just get it.

Almost perfect. Just wish there were more options for viewing and writing beats, especially with fills. I prefer conventional notation.

Buy every one of their drum apps. This is better than anything on The desktop. Making inspired grooves and unexpected results has never been possible like this. The ONLY drum apps you need PERIOD! IAPs Cannot Be Restored IN ANY OF YOUR APPS!. Please fix this and I’ll immediately 5 star. Can’t use Bonzo on rock drummer, can’t purchase iap on IPad. For some reason I can purchase on phone but not even the restore button works on iPad. I mean this seems like it should be a simple fix and it’s literally costing you money as your store only works on my old iPhone.

Intelligent Drumming. Can be thought of as a futuristic drum machine both musically and historically. Lumbeat’s best in class AI drummer and stellar sound that comes with kits from vintage to modern, all sequencable traditionally.

Great fun. Lumbeat being IAA and not AUv3 led me to overlook these apps. They’re worth the money…you can get a great mix of control and randomness, and it sounds good. Lumbeat apps and patterning 2 are the drum apps that I use that are not AUv3.

Nice change of pace. I play with jazz, reggae, Brazilian, Indian, funk, African, soft and future drummer. This one is always in the rotation.

Sounds Great. No AUV3 but it’s a great sound source for external samplers and it has an export so you can import the stems into whatever DAW you use…

This one is my favorite. All the Lumbeat apps are amazing and fun, but this one is probably my favorite due to its Live Mode. It makes it feel more like an instrument than a drum machine.

Future Drummer is awesome. I got rock drummer and ibassist. they were so great i bought soft drummer. that was so amazing i bought future drummer. its very helpful to have the apps and banks of sounds in separate apps.

Works with many Genres. I love Luis’ apps, but this was a surprise in that it is one of his most versatile. Great for avant- jazz especially. Great kits.

A producers best friend. Wow I love this app. It complements my Pro studio gear. It’s my secret weapon when I need a beat, inspiration or to jam out sometimes. I use this app as one of my go to song writing tool. I love Future Drummer 🤗
