Very disappointed. We loved this game and now it isn't working at all.

This is not working. So I downloaded the app then I cleared the Osmo world app but it said I didn’t have the game but I actually did have the game please fix this if you have a answer please reply thank you Osmo edit:please fix this whoever made the Osmo games because I actually have the app and it’s not letting me access the Tangram world on Osmo world hello it’s me again it’s still not working so I’m just waiting and waiting for it to work but I go to this app go to Osmo world app and it still says I don’t have it! Worst game ever!. First so like your trying to do the puzzle yourself and a piece of puzzle just shows up😡!Like also if your really good at the game there is no advanced levels for you so now you have to redo the whole entire process!😠Other thing is so your really really bad at the game it gives you so many hints but you wanna try to do it your self also about this is there is nothing that you can do to make it easier to play the game.😒Finally is that some times you don’t have the right lighting and you got the puzzle correct it doesn’t do anything like your waiting for it to complete but it never does!

It’s very insensitive. The game is designed with very insensitive visual capture. Even as parent, I did exactly the same, the imagine can not be captured by the game. It keeps on asking you moving back and forth, and brings lots of frustration. Considering the price, it is really a useless game.

Great idea, could be even better for those with special needs. I am using Osmo apps for my son with special needs (although my typical kids like it too). Tangram helps him improve his visual-spatial skills. The biggest area for improvement is to offer more options at the lower end of the functional scale. For example, allow parents to select using less of the tiles and have several puzzles that use 2 tiles, 3 tiles, etc to build those skills. Also think about adding the option of letting people "build" their own models for their children. This might not have the hints included in the preloaded designs, but would be a great feature. With these improvements, I would be recommending it to many parents of children with special needs, who are big users of iPad learning apps.

Worst game for children ever. My child tried to use it and it did not work If you’d like to try it you can but I don’t think it will work for you I’ll try to get a battery view but if it is not working again I will never use this app for my child again

Horrible update. My son worked very hard for months solving the puzzles and get his sticker rewards. He loved going through his stickers and seeing what he had. In the update, some "smart" person decided to remove the sticker book. How do you tell your 3 year old all their hard work is lost?

Can’t get past anymore levels!. I was able to complete the first level but I was still struggling a little bit because it wouldn’t recognize the piece and now when I do a different one, It will recognize only a few piece even though I’ve put all of the piece correctly. If anyone could help, that would be appreciated. Thank you

Excuse me? Did you say new update? More like downdate.. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game. But, instead of me getting through the castles, it tells me to move my pieces, then won’t let me carry on. The screen freezes, and LITERALLY TAKES ME OUT OF THE GAME 😡😡😡😡. Please fix this. ITS TERRIBLE, and it’s been happening to multiple games on this iPad. I know you can’t help with the iPad situation, but it is your game, so can help with that. I love your game, but I can’t play. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassse fix this. Kapeesh? Thanks

Excellent mental exercise tool. I purchased Osmo for an older relative with memory challenges. What we've discovered with the Tangram puzzle app is that while it appears to be designed for kids, it really is a great tool for older adults as well. I would recommend this app, along with the "Words" app for Osmo, for anyone with an elderly parent who enjoys puzzles and is just beginning to have memory challenges. (I say this because I would not want to recommend something which might create more frustration for the person). This is both fun and social. Not isolating like a book of crossword puzzles might be. I highly recommend it.

disappointed. so I had this problem since I received my game pieces and stand. I haven't played it because I had the same problem. The problem is that the camera is not detecting the shapes. Its not worth my ant's money. I don't know if its my camera or the the camera reflector. I might need to check how big can my camera can see my shapes. sorry if this is not enough to understand. hopefuly the developer see this review.

Crash!. My daughter is using this app on her iPad Air, Which is a supported model, but it crashed on her and she decided she would go play something else instead. After spending $100 on the starter kit, this is very disappointing.

Worst game ever. This game is so horrible me and my child is the game because it will not pick up anything this app has not taught my daughter anything she is so hurt and destroy about how bad this game is this game is so unbelievably bad I had to delete it and re-get it because I thought it was broken this game is so horrible if you were thinking of getting this for your child do not I’m so mad and so angry that me and my child could not play this game

Doesn’t save. I love this game but it always says that it is the demo version. so if you complete a bunch of levels and then you leave the game when you come back to complete more levels where you left off you have to redo all the levels you completed the last time you played the game and it just doesn’t want to save.

Awesome after a small hiccup. The app didn't ask to connect to the camera the first time I opened it, so it frustratingly didn't work. But an app reinstall fixed that and once it works this is super impressive! This is one of the very few apps that I actually find enriching for the kids!

Hands on. I've been waiting for something like this for years. My almost five year old has been playing the games for the past two hrs and is learning so much. We've been working on letters for such a long time and he's finally figuring them out with this app. I really believe the hands on, game like play is tricking him into learning and I couldn't be more thrilled. He can play the tanagram game by himself for when I need to cook dinner and then the letters are a fun game for directed play. Thoroughly enjoy this system and we are excited to keep playing it. Thanks osmo! I wouldn't recommend any younger than four and a half. It was alllllmost too young for my son and he turns five in a few months.

Love Tangram. Our five year old loves this app, we do too! I've been impressed with his increased skill set in a short amount of time. The way the app has an adventure feel to the puzzles keeps him engaged and continues to challenge him. Great product, strongly recommend

Great game!. Hi I have been using osmo for 6 whole days! Osmo is a really fun game to play! My three favorite osmo games are osmo Tangram osmo coding Awbie and osmo pizza co. I almost have all of your products! Keep up the great work tanable play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had this game for seven days now. I want to say that osmo drains your battery really quickly. I played with osmo for 2 hours and my battery was down to 10 percent. Overall osmo is a great gaming system I will keep buying your products. Keep up the great work

Won’t recognize tiles. I purchased 10 sets for my Special Education students. The other Osmo apps work but this app won’t recognize the tiles almost daily. It will also recognize them and then immediately go back to not seeing them. This is extremely frustrating for both my students and myself.

really great game!!!!!!!!. This game was really fun!!!! Works really well.

A couple bad things.... I got this app along time ago and I really like it. There are a couple problems though. First if the lighting in the room you are in is kind of bad then it kind of starts glitching and it’s so hard just passed one level. Next there’s not really much to do in the game which is just trying to figure out a puzzle. But I still really like the game. The last thing is that I don’t know if this is so much of a bad thing but sometimes the pieces glitch so it just gives you the answer but only part of the puzzle. The thing is that it’s like it gives you part of the puzzle when you’re trying to figure out which is good if you are having a hard time but it’s bad when you’re like I just wanna figure out this puzzle by myself. I thaght it would be good but no!,,,,,. I thought that my daughter would like the scheme of screen time but as she was doing and get the Camera didn’t even work and she started watching stupid videos again instead of this phone app that doesn’t even let her continue if someone else has the same issue please comment or something so we could solve that issue together meanwhile my daughter is oh sorry that was my bad I had to run and help my dog she was trapped so I was like I was saying this app is terrible please fix it

For anyone having trouble please read. If you are having trouble getting the tablet to recognize the pieces make sure that the tablet asked you for permission to use the camera. When I first installed it never asked me for permission so the camera wasn’t even working. I deleted app then reinstalled, this time when first staring up app asked for permission to use camera and now app works just fine.

No longer works on iPhone.. According to App Store the iPhone is supported. Launch app and no longer supported.

Doesn’t work. I tried this with my iPhone and the reflector and it doesn’t work. Huge frustration. Also doesn’t work with a lot of fire tablets. Do not recommend and I’m usually not one to leave bad reviews.

Greater than the reboot. This game did not need a reboot, this was more challenging than the reboot which I like and I just don’t get how you mess up this bad but good game 8/10.

Stays Stuck on Loading…. Used to be a nice App but now just stays stuck on “Loading…” animation. Very disappointing

SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES, BUYER BEWARE!!. We received a free trial set. My son enjoyed one of the games, but overall he was not impressed. Basically it uses a mirror to see what is on the table. Yes, it had tangible objects to move on the table surface, but overall it’s not that impressive. As an educator, I believe there are many more apps that are education with far less cost. In addition, the iPad can not have any protective cover on it to work with the app...a nerve racking thought for any parent. In order to try the trial you have to give your credit card information. There is NO where to cancel the trial in their app or website. The company is supposed to send an email to cancel prior to charging, they did NOT!!! BEWARE IF YOU DO THE TRIAL, AS I GOT CHARGED!!! You must email customer service to cancel. Who knows how long until I get a refund!!! 😡

Suddenly not seeing the tiles. Worked the first time but now does not detect tiles. The other two apps still work.

Best Kids App ever. This is the best app we’ve ever encountered as parents. As I write this the kids are out of school for the year so it’s been challenging to keep 3 kids occupied. Osmo and the various activities and games has been a savior. Anyone who ha spit a poor review either doesn’t know who to use it(super simple) or is confused. If you get the kits like the Little Genius or the the Genius Kits they come with several VERY EDUCATIONAL activities. The best part about it for us parents is it also satisfies their “screen time” craving and desire to use electronics. It’s almost like we’re tricking them into learning! I even enjoy it as an adult. If you are hesitating because of some of these 1 star reviews that are out there, I tell you please DO NOT HESITATE!!!

Isn't working. The camera isn't dectecting the shapes

Tangram. I can not get the Camera to read the tiles. No matter which way I do it, I even put a piece of white cardboard on top of my table thinking maybe it was my wood table but nope. It is so frustrating that this game is horrible. My grandson is at the point of telling me to take his Osmo back cuz he don’t work.

Glitchy. When I play this game it always glitches and shows me the same pieces in two different places

Badly programmed, developers should be ashamed and quit. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 17.1.1. The store says it is compatible, but when you start it, it says no and redirects to the list of compatible models. The whole iOS platform lets you target which phones you want to support. If you really don’t want to support this phone, then don’t make it available in the store for this model. Failing such a basic step in making an iOS app is crazy.

Doesn’t pick up peace’s. I love this app but it doesn’t pick up the yellow square idk why but please fix it because It’s getting annoying! I put it in the right place but it NEVER picks it up

Great game for younger kids. This game is excellent all around but I feel that as kids reach fourth and fifth grade the game becomes easy and boring for them. It would be excellent if there was like an advanced stage at the home screen what are you just click like advanced and it brings you in to a really hard mode for older kids. But for younger kids it is awesome. My buddies really like going into the tower and trying to conquer the different stages easy medium and hard. Overall it’s a great game.

This is great!. This app is great, but I think when you finish an achievement you should get more gems.

Tangram how it should be. I had played Tangram as a kid (this game exists for centuries as a puzzle). When using the non Osmo version I never played more than 5 minutes. Without feedback and difficulty progression, there were simply no incentive to continue. So I never realized how clever and rewarding this game actually is. Now playing Tangram Osmo, I would resolve 20 forms in one sitting (using the blue mode, any other mode is cheating really :)). This feels like a different game. Would Tangram be a game for adults? Or is it Osmo? I invited my friends kids to see how they would enjoy it. They are 5 and 7. I watched them play for a while. At first, I was a bit frustrated to see them struggling, but it didn't last long. They got it and then fairly quickly could take on higher levels of difficulty. I think Osmo Tangram is just a great game that will make itself interesting and challenging whatever the level of experience you have. Ah yes, one more thing the number of shapes that comes with the game is mental, there is more than 200 hours of playing there...

Terribly disappointed. We did not know you needed to buy a 40$ iPad base and reflector in order to make this app functional. You cannot skip to the next puzzle without it. Our experience was to open the app, and it even lets you skip on screen plugging the iPad into the base. But then after selecting a difficulty you can never get passed the first puzzle. Horrible user experience. I have huge buyer remorse.

7 apps that don’t work.. All 7 apps I have from this developer go from the camera prompt to the sound prompt everything works until the game tries to load it freezes… on every single Osmo application. Fix your apps.

Look elsewhere, doesn’t work, just gathers your data. Doesn’t work, despite cute intro. Requires access to your data in unnecessary ways.

Keeps emailing me. Osmo keeps emailing me. I first had the app then deleted it and I told them I had deleted it but they still emailed me. I kept telling them that I do not want the app and I didn’t have the stuff and I did not want to buy that stuff again. But they kept on emailing me.

This game makes my children go crazy!. My kids always come to me and ask, can we play Tangram? They just love it so much! Every time they go on it they make me come back with the most lovely shape! I gave it 4 because it costs gems 💎 like 4 or 5 to have a hint,but it is a crazy 😝 good game! Especially since they can see my children’s shape and not my children for safety. Osmo also help with maths and is manly for kids to learn, but Tangram mad them get rewards and little figurines. It is awesome! And I totally recommend it,it is brilliant.

Screen won’t browse on main map. I’ve uninstalled the game and reinstalled yet I cannot fathom as to why the games main page to choose what puzzles to do has stopped working, can’t scroll around the map it stays in one spot, please help me

when this app can compatibility with iPad Air 4?. I just replaced iPad Air 4 and find out this game can’t compatibility with my new iPad. Why taking so long too upgrade the app!

Terrible game. The camera doesn't recognize any of the pieces.

If the camera doesn’t pick up pieces..... For all of those people that are complaining about the camera not picking up the pieces; I had the same issue until I realized what was happening. I was getting my kids playing on the kitchen table, but the camera was picking up all kinds of interference from the wood grain in the tabletop. This became most apparent to me when playing the other Osmo game with the falling marbles. It actually maps out what is out the camera, and the wood grain shows up all over the place making it impossible to play. Try using a large sheet of paper down on the playing area. It works 100% every time, even on our first Gen iPad mini (although be it a little slow). For the marble game, use a white board that you can use dry erase markers with.

Exercise in frustration. The camera doesn't seem to pickup the pieces consistently. Keeps asking to move pieces down, recognizes for a second them doesn't see again. My child is so angry at this app despite the last few app updates that we're returning this system. Not ready for prime time.

Needs work. Guys, love the concept but the software is buggy. The Tangram first puzzle won't recognize any shape past the first two and the Words puzzle won't recognize the "I" for ice. Please fix, it's frustrating and the kids want to play it but they can't. Thank you.

Love it!!!. I love the games which I have (Tangram, words, and numbers and I wish to get coding), the only complaint I have is that you can't mute the volume in the game. I have a device that allows me to watch shows even when I'm not in the app but it doesn't work because I can't mute the games' sound.

Awesome Game for all ages, but buggy camera. My daughter loves it, but sometimes the app keeps telling her to move the shapes into the circle even when she clearly has it in the right area. It frustrates me, so you can imagine how a five year old reacts. I hope they fix it soon so she doesn't get turned off by the game it really is awesome.

Well Thought Out. I really like Osmo. The tangram pieces are sturdy and well constructed. The puzzles offer an escalating challenge at an appropriate pace. I’d love two sets of tangrams and possibly three to make extremely challenging puzzles. The kids love the ability to see what the challenge is then receive that instant reward when they get it correct. Please make extra sets available and let users add their own puzzles like you do the word games.

White screen problem. I too am have an ipad mini and am experiencing that screen goin white for no reason. I have played the easy and medium level. At first reloading program after each game try worked at showing screen again until eventually it did not. I agree with other review this glitch needs to be fixed.

Hands-on Shape Awareness. My 5-year old loves this game - it helps her gain shape awareness by learning about composite shapes and how to put them together to make new shapes.

Where are the directions??. I have everything downloaded but there are no directions anywhere. Anywhere. So irritating and stupid.

Fantastic - intuitive and well made. From the packaging to the subtle finishes such as the magnet holding the reflector on the base, Osmo has been great. The games are intuitive for my 6 year old and the UI is great. Very cool!

Glitches. I pad is glitching and turning screen white. I don't know if it's only on my I pad mini but please try to fix it. I almost beat the third dungeon in hard mode.

Tanagram. My 5 yr old granddaughter, her dad and I really enjoy all the games on OSMO….this was challenging enough for all of us, although we did solve them and moved up through the levels…not sure we’ve done all of them yet! :)

Not working. Brand new Osmo system and the Tangram doesn’t work. Disappointed to say the least. Seriously thinking about returning it to Amazon

Awesome game!. The cool part is the puzzles just keep coming. I thought my son would complete a few and then have nothing left to do. If you are considering buying the Osmo, the easy level is easy, but the harder puzzles can get pretty HARD - You won't have to worry about them being conquered too soon.

Lots of bugs- doesn't recognize tiles. Just received Osmo yesterday for my almost 5 year old and it's already packed up to send back largely due to the buggy apps. This one in particular was the worst. I put together the patterns as directed and the app didn't recognize them as completed. I tried changing surfaces, placing the tiles on plain white paper and it still didn't progress. Osmo is a very cool idea and, once all the bugs are worked out I may revisit but for now it just doesn't seem ready.

Excellent critical thinking play. I had children ranging in ages 3 to 5 use the tanagram osmo and it was a hit. It was challenging for them, but not overwhelming. They were not ready for the more advanced pictures like birds, etc. but enjoyed using their noggin to make interesting shapes.

Excellent game. Though recommended for 6+, my 4 year daughter loves it. Lots of fun

Absolutely Fantastic App for Kids to Learn with!. Just received my Osmo system and am absolutely blown away by these games and toys. Great product, great quality, and great games that force your kids to think outside the box. Great way to leverage the iPad for learning. Keep up the great work!

Fun. My fifth grade students love to play this during indoor recesses.

No Way!. The tiles have to be positioned perfectly in a small range of space to be "picked up" by the camera mirror, making what was originally a classic game, into total frustration. How dumb to make the tiles too big. But when the design happens to be compact, like the swan, it works and is pleasant.

Dbowlus. The tangram is frustrating for me, and I got it to work on it with many kids. It doesn't recognize the pieces after you get the first two and move the pieces down as asked via screen demo. For the amount of money this thing costs it doesn't work. The word game works pretty well but the pieces don't all fit in the box, I have already lost one or two letters. This is overpriced!!! I should have waited for reviews.

App disappeared and can't download again. I had this app and used it in my classroom. It disappeared from the iPad and now I can't even redox load it.

Mini users. Super game. My 5 year old is loving it. Only problem we have found is some of the bigger puzzles have a tough time being seen by the osmo on my iPad mini. We think we have fixed this by setting it up on a few books raising the pad to a level closer to a full size I pad. No problems now very engaging with sounds and colors!

Totally broken. Used to work fantastically well, but a recent update appears to have hopelessly broken it. Piece detection is miserably slow or just plain doesn't work. Very disappointed.

Great Investment. My 4-year-old got this for Christmas and LOVES it. This is a product that could have been ruined by shoddy programming but Osmo delivers. One nice addition would be some kind of a mat that could be used to help the child understand where the device's field of vision ends.

Fabulous for all ages!. I admit, I have pretty much taken over my daughter's present. Don't get me wrong, this is perfect for kids (mine's 6 and worked it easily) with its intuitive, clean, and simple design. However, it is also perfect for adults by offering a variety of levels. Fun all around.

Fun, But Needs Improvement. I'm using the iPad Mini with Tangram. The camera does not "read" pieces that are at the bottom or sides of the larger puzzles. Otherwise, it's great!

Needs more options. Tangram is a pretty limited app. After a few times using it there isn't much left to do.

Cool! :). Straight out of the box the day it arrived & my 6 yr old was instantly engaged! Love how it turns a one player, non 3D iPad into a multiplayer game using real 3D game pieces - so very clever! Love it! :))

Play and Learn. What a great time my kids had with this game by OSMO. Now for the kids at school to have their turn! Smart, fun, and entertaining!

Stolen from my 5yo. Ok, I waited until she was done. This game is seriously addictive. I would like the option of an advanced version which doesn't show which pieces to use in each spot. Love the instant feedback and the user interface. And the snow!

Great!. 7-year old got the Tangram, Numbers, and Words as a gift and it has been a big hit so far. App works well and is a great combo of being fun and educational for kids.

It's Different. Got our OSMO kit yesterday and my kid took onto it in a flash. I see the potential this tool has for social play. Kudos to the team for making something different.

Impossible to please!. This app/Osmo reader do not work well together. There is so much potential for the Osmo concept. Too bad the Words app is the only one that's any fun so far, and even that is getting repetitive (and has always been very tempermental). The Newton is a joke, when you consider the possibilities for "seeing" what is drawn. At least we still have Words until that gets boring... won't be long.
