The game is good but crashes every 5 min.. This is pretty ridiculous and with the amount of tools apple gives developers to debug crashes it should not be crashing so much. Seems it has a massive memory leak IMO. Please fix!

Fun experience with a couple big misses. + Fun experience that actually teaches coding/sequence/counting/grid movement + Great mix of physical tactile and digital (you need to buy Osmo and the Coding Awbie physical packages). The tiles are magnetic with rotating arrows and work fantastically with the Osmo system and tablet. High quality for sure. - To start the code you set up you tap anywhere on the screen. Since you have to scroll to see, plus accidents, plus kids… yeah terrible user interface. Never have a button that’s invisible and takes up the whole screen. A big green button with Awbie running would work excellent. - The middle game stops offering rewards. In the beginning you can upgrade Awbie’s camp site/home using the strawberries you are collecting throughout the game but very quickly the only thing to upgrade is strawberry plants that kids endless tap for… more strawberries. Pretty dissapointing and seems like they did enough to get people into the game and then cut costs by chopping development.

Nice concept, but keeps crashing. The app is nicely conceptualized. Like all the Osmo products, the screen plus hands-on-pieces combination really keeps my six year old engaged in learning. This and all Osmo products are a nice complement to existing curricula, especially when kids are home with school closures. But the app crashes (closes unexpectedly) every four or five minutes and my six year old loses a little bit of progress each time—thankfully, not all progress in the level is lost. This has really cut her motivation and she no longer wants to play this game. Other Osmo apps, especially the pizza game, have kept her engaged on an ongoing basis and they are much more stable. Would give this five stars if it didn’t crash so much.

This is awesome i want to be a coder when i am older and this teaches me alot of useful skills. This is awesome

No update. My son started with osmo coding over a year ago and we still haven’t seen the update!!! He completely lost any interest in the game and other osmo products. The company came out with new software / toy and even an iphone app but not the promised update!! I even sent the company an email but no one responded. I have to say I am a software developer and I did like the concept but I would not recommend anyone buying this product as it will frustrate your kid for sure.

AAAAAAAAAAHH ITS A GLITCH. I was playing this game and I used the coding blocks. When I tapped the screen and the code went, Awbie was running in the beach, ther were no obstacles and everything went nicely at first. But when Awbie was running up he crashed into NOTHING!! Keeps crashing. Coding game keeps crashing requiring us to start from the beginning again and again. Not worth the frustration.

One of many games we have. Upgrade I pad now none of the 5 games we have will work. Tech support said we are just very small firm. We don’t have resources to figure it out. Give me break.

Frustrated. App is slow to respond, freezes and shuts down frequently. Very frustrating! Annoying says my 5 year old.

Great learning game. You need to buy the Osmo hardware to play this game. There are no ads or in app purchases. Bought the well designed hardware, also doubles as a great Netflix stand.

My five year old loves this coding game but..... My five year old loves this coding game so much it's all he talks about. However, he's blown through every available level in a few weeks (would have been sooner if we let him have more iPad time). He's asking me every day if there is an update yet? Is there an idea of when more levels will be available?

App crashes a lot. iPad Mini 5 running iPadOS 14.3. Frequent crashes are annoying. Also, I found a bug where if you set your path to trace over a fruit more than once, the path algorithm will count the fruit each time you would pass over the space that the fruit occupies, allowing you to collect more points than intended. So an inefficient path can collect more points than an efficient one.

Very buggy, low quality software. Couldn’t even finish setting it up. I’m a software engineer and was very excited to share this experience with my children. One of the very first things you do is set up your child’s profile, and they ask for birthdate. Selecting the birthdate is impossible due to the number picker widget being glitchy and swinging wildly on its own. To top it off, the app crashes every few seconds during setup and makes you start over. Don’t buy this.

Coding update not working. I just downloaded the coding app and it will not move past the first page.

Great game!!!!. I love Coding Awbie and all other Osmo products I have. I never had a problem with the software, random shutdowns or glitches. It’s an awesome way for beginners to learn the basics of coding and it’s super fun too! I reccomend you get this game for your child right now! 😝

Amazing learning game!. This coding software is great and easy for kids! I recommend this for early coders! Great job!

Buggy since update. This app updated last night and suddenly has real problems. Awbie will get caught in an infinite loop, or the game will suddenly be unable to accept a new set of coding. It's a great game and my son loves it, but the bugs need to be squished!

Purchase this. My son has the coding set and he really wants to be a programmer when he grows up so this is perfect five stars

Crashing. App used to work fine. Didn't use it for a bit, and upon reopening, it wouldn't respond to the tiles. Tried updating the app, but now the current version crashes immediately upon opening. Completely unusable now.

Program crashes. I got this game to help my 6 year old and 4 year old learn coding concepts. Both of them love the game and it is easy for them to understand. My only complaint, the program crashes randomly without warning. I thought it occurred with long sequences but it now happens with single sequence as well. For the price of these games, it is difficult to give a high rating with these random flaws. I hope the developers continue to review and improve the apps.

It is ridiculous. It’s been almost a year since release of IPad Pro 11” gen 4, and it is still no supported and this app still not support it. On top of that when I open this app it crashes instantly.

Lots of bugs!. It will not run and closes out after it is up for a few seconds. No idea why. Very frustrating.

Image recognition is TERRIBLE. Do not get this. If you’ve already purchased the kit, don’t open it and return it. The recognition is so awful, my kids are getting turned off to coding. It’s unbelievably frustrating to watch them figure out the symbology, place the tiles correctly, and then every 15 seconds say, “Dad, isn’t this right?” And of course it’s right, but the character keeps running into trees. The trouble shooting support is laughable. Does everything except admit that the recognition is at fault. Yes, the camera settings are correct. Yes the lighting is more than adequate. Yes, the stand and mirror are positioned correct. Yes, the software is updated. Save yourself the frustration and money. Hopefully all this is going to cost you is the time you took to purchase it and then return it. If I find another app that helps my kids understand and love coding, I’ll update this review.

Cool but buggy. Neat idea, but sometimes executes moves when no play button is in sight. Other times it stops recognizing instructions in the middle of a level and needs to be restarted.

It’s not letting me play. I’m trying to play the fricking game but it says wHoOPS YOur camera is not working but it’s not giving me the option to even turn the camera on I would give it a 0.5 not worth it

Bad Product. Dust product doesn’t even download properly the app doesn’t load and very difficult to set up should be a lot easier, especially if it’s made for kids😡😠😤🤮👺👎👎😠😤😡🤮👿

Nice concept, but keeps crashing. I really enjoy the concept of this game, however, it's hard to enjoy it when the app keeps crashing every 5 minutes and losing my progress. I've played through the first level 3 times now. I hope this can be fixed in the next update.

Enable to do what ever to get the most point. At a level it tells me to do something but i found a way to get 100% purple but it won't let me It would be cool the bot lets me do what ever I want. Another reason is when i code something it will do something else.

Great but finished too quick. My son enjoyed it but finished all the levels in a couple of hours. He was dissatisfied that getting to the end goal just resulted in a message to wait for more in an update. It's a great tool to get them thinking but I hope the updates come soon. Thanks

Game keeps crashing?!?. The software does not seem stable and keeps crashing. Needs to be more stable. The product is un useable at the moment. For what it costs it’s ridiculous the software is unstable in iPad.

Fun but too easy. Got this for my son for his 5-year-old birthday. He loves it, played every day. He finished all the levels in two just weeks. The game is a lot easier than expected. Hopefully new levels come soon. And I wish there were more pieces so that we could do more each time. And I wish we were able to move around the screen so that my son could see farther without me holding the screen for him while he was playing.

Works well, but.... My daughter enjoys the app, but it crashes frequently with iPad 8th gen.

No longer opens. App was updated last week and no longer works. App update 3 days ago: Newest update requires iOS 15 which is not available on this older iPad. The version prior to this does not open. Also asks if you want to download the last compatible version and then doesn’t do anything

Great but.... My son loves this app, but it crashes quite regularly. We’ve tried the suggested OSMO tips to fix this, but none have worked. This is a new iPad so no reason it shouldn’t work. Disappointing.

Error loading at the end of the stage. Occasionally app crashed when you collected too many strawberries after you completed the stage. This has been happening ever since the last update. I would rate 1 star until this is resolved.

Was great until latest update.. Was great until the latest update. The game now reads the orange grabby hands as red jumps. Even when we shine a really bright light at the game pieces . We can’t effectively play the game now. Would love the developers to add a color calibration setting (ex. Place game pieces in specific guided configuration and then capture the image) not only to fix this one issue but to make the game playable in low light situations too.

Just doesn't work!. Got the kit today, and the other two games ("Words" and "Tangram") work fine. "Coding" is completely unresponsive to the code blocks. Very frustrating.

Fix immediately. 😡. The game Osmo coding is great, but there is a huge bug. Whenever I place a block down, it plays it automatically without me pressing the green “play” button. Also, sometimes when I click the green “play” button, it plays the wrong code! Please fix this bug ASAP!

rating based on tech support response. I purchased the game on Amazon along with the base kit and several other games. The other Osmo games seem to be working. I loaded this app on my daughter's iPad and was informed that I was supposed to have an activation code. Unfortunately no such code was sent to me and my wife could not find any instructions on doing so from the app. So the game that accompanties this app was useless. I sent a message to tech support via the company website and received a reply back on now to obtain the activation code within a couple of hours, which is impressive since this is Christmas day. I had anticipated waiting till Mon or Tuesday.
